Kitty's Burns

Stuffed animals and dolls get burnt in many ways. Some are in fires. Some get burnt in the dryer, or with a blow dryer, in an attempt to dry them after a wash. But another common burn is from a lightbulb. Sometimes, you catch the burn early, so there's just a touch of discoloration. This happened to one of my teddy bears when I was in college... he fell off the bed onto a light. But I caught him pretty quick. Here he is today with some of his friends: Eeyore, a quoll, and a quokka:

He earned his scar and he's proud of it. :-)

But sometimes, patients get really burnt by lightbulbs. As in charred, third degree burns. And that's what happened to Kitty. She was sitting on a light that was accidentally turned on and no one noticed till it was too late! Here is her diagnosis photo:

The (nice?) round burn went all the way around to her backside, but was quite localized. Burning had not only changed her fur color, it was charred, the fur melted, and so did some of the stuffing underneath. For this type of burn, the treatment is to excise the burnt fur and stuffing, and then give the patient new fur and stuffing as needed to restore the damaged areas. This is different from the usual fur transplants for bald spots, which go over surviving skin. Kitty's family decided she would get a spa too. She arrived and after stuffingectomy, started her bubble bath:

She got new stuffing, with a heart of original, unburnt stuffing:

And then she had surgery to treat the burn itself. Here she is all better and ready to fly home:

It's pretty hard to see the new fur, which was great! And it will blend even more as she's hugged in her natural environment. Her family wrote "Oh wow! She looks fantastic! :) I just shared photos with my wife, and she’s very happy :) .... couldn’t be more pleased!"

So Kitty flew home for more hugs and adventures... but no more lightbulb seats!

Jisung gulped down the rest, guilt suddenly flooding his senses when he noticed his puffy belly. The maknae didn’t seem to notice, continuing his playful banter with Hyunjin. 

Jisung lifted a shaky hand to his cheek, suddenly hating the way it squished under his fingers. 

He stood up, excusing himself by setting the plate in the sink and jogging to his room. 

Minho watched in mild discomfort as Jisung ran away, he had witnessed the whole scene and knew it wouldn’t take long until more terribly bad thoughts appeared in the quokka’s brain. 

Min excused himself as well, intent on finding out what happened to Hannie, and trying to make him feel better. 

The older walked up to the door, tapping on it gently. Suddenly, he heard a broken sob from within the room, and his heart cracked underneath as he slowly opened the door. 

The lump of blankets was impossibly cute, and Minho walked up to the quokka and frowned at the way poor Jisung’s entire body racked with his tears. 

Minho slightly lifted the blankets, slipping under them and wrapping his arms strongly around Hannie’s weakened shoulders, eyes saddening when a wet cheek leaned into the crook of his neck. 

“Oh, jagi.” He sighed, attempting to calm Jisung down by smiling at him. “What are you upset about now, yeobo? Aish…what am I going to do with you one of these days, hm?” Min tsked, rolling over so that Jisung was laying on him, earning a small squeak from the younger. 

Jisung just sniffled and hid his face in the fabric of Minho’s hoodie, the older’s hand coming up to play with his hair. Jisung whimpered at the slightly ticklish sensation on his nape. 

“Hyung…?” He whispered quietly, the older humming in response. “Don’t you think I’ve gotten a little…fat…?” He winced at the way Minho faltered. 

“…Fat?” Minho responded with a defeated tone. “What happened, Jisungie?” 

“I mean, I…I’m always being called chubby by the other members, and I don’t know…” Jisung sniffled, a fresh round of tears welling up in his eyes.

“Jisung?” 

Hannie whipped his head around and noticed all the members standing gathered at the door. Hyunjin and Innie ran over to give him a hug while the other members collected around him. 

“I’m so sorry, hyung…” Innie whispered, eyes teary and guilty. Jisung shook his head quickly and kissed the maknae’s cheek. “No, it wasn’t you, darling.”

After many apologies and hugs, Chan climbed onto Jisung’s lap, suddenly pinning him to the bed. 

“Don’t worry, Hannie. There’s plenty of love left from us…we’ll show you!” He giggled. “We love every part of you, so let us prove it.”

He leaned down to press some kisses to Jisung’s neck, not wanting to overwhelm the boy too early.

“My turn!” Minho squealed excitedly, beckoning Chan over and convincing the leader to pull the quokka’s arms above his head. 

“Wahahait!!” Jisung bit his lip when a singular fingers traveled around his armpit, stroking up and down the squishy skin on each side. 

“Is it too much for the tough ace? Will he crack if I do…this?” Minho gently switched his tactics, scribbling with all of his fingers up and down the exposed underarm, using the tips of his fingers.  

Jisung twisted with a wide smile, suddenly giggling cutely and grinning. The sensation was torturously ticklish, not enough to generate deep laughs but enough for Hannie to feel it and either want more or for the teasing to end. 

It drove him absolutely mad. “Hyuhuhung, please don’t tease!” He whined, throwing his head around wildly as Minho moved a teensy bit faster. 

“Thahat’s not ehenoughhh!!” Jisung groaned, Minho snickering gently as he moved down to the quokka’s ribs, blowing tiny, sporadic raspberries in between every crevice, earning a small shriek followed by even more cute giggles. 

“AAHahaha, noooo!!” 

Minho laughed along with Jisung, the quokka squirming under his grasp and shaking as Minho suddenly blew loud raspberries onto the crevices. 

After a few more raspberries, Changbin climbed onto his thighs to replace Minho. “You know what Felix does for me every time I’m feeling upset?” Changbin asks gently, tugging Hannie’s shirt to reveal his pale tummy. 

“Mmm nohoho!” Jisung squealed when a single finger traced his belly button. 

Changbin pressed his lips to the boy’ stomach, leaving small kisses and nibbles to the area. 

Jisung shrieked and inched his belly away from the sensation, but Binnie’s warm hands grabbed his trim waist and held him in place, leaving nowhere to escape. 

Hannie shut his eyes, loud giggling making the other members coo gently and stroke his hair.

Changbin vibrated his fingers deep into Jisung’s shoulderblades, causing the younger to scrunch up with a squeal as the fingers continued to travel the expanse of his back. 

“AAH-aaahahha!!” Jisung squeaked, suddenly shouting as Binnie’s fingers moved to the sides of his chest instead, near his armpits. 

“WAHAHAIT!!” Jisung tugged at his arms, held hostage by Chan, bucking up desperately at the way Binnie’s fingers trailed down the side of his torso, squeezing gently every once in a while and watching Jisung whimper and giggle.

Jeongin laid the quokka’s head onto his lap to prevent the boy from hurting himself. Hannie looked up at the maknae with teary eyes and a smile that made the younger’s heart melt, giggles pouring out of him. 

“Don’t worry, hyung. It’ll be my turn soon.” Innie giggled, squishing the older’s pink cheeks. 

When Jisung finally tapped out, tears soaking the pillow case, Hyunjin turned him back over and pressed a few fingers to the ace’s thigh. When Jisung whined at the feeling, Hyunjin smiled.

“Fehelix nohohohoho!!” He kicked, nevertheless Felix’s grip was too strong, and Jisung was unable to escape his grasp. 

“Plehehease eheveryone fihinish up i can’t tahake more!!” He pleaded gently, panting as more tears welled up. 

Seungmin and Jeongin glanced at each other, and before he knew it, Jisung’s legs were being traced all over, the lightest of movements making him gasp and squeak, twisting as loud giggles poured from his throat. 

“Ohoh my gahahaa���!” Jisung twisted his head to the left. 

A few minutes later, Jisung was panting, he never knew light tickles were so torturous, tapping out. 

Nevertheless he felt relaxed, loved. The members gathered around him to give him soft aftercare, cuddling with him and rocking him to sleep.

Lee Know was more often than not, notorious for hating skin-ship, screeching whenever Chan went so close as to cuddle him, which he retorted that it was one hundred and one percent forceful kidnapping. He enjoyed his personal space more than anything, and Stray Kids too, enjoyed his personal space. Not that he minded that much, but sometimes he wished to just be treated more gently instead of a cuddle toy to be thrown around.

However, the bunny didn't want to be opening up about his struggles, feeling that the members would overshadow him and feel that he didn't want to be touched at all. He did, more desperately than you think, he just felt things were too much at times. This especially applied to tickling. Don't get him wrong, he loves releasing his stress through screaming till his lungs were hoarse, but the constant roughness made him feel that all he was good for were rough tickles, both giving and receiving. Now as much as he relished in that reputation, not receiving though, he didn't want to be only known for being a menace, he swore he could be soft too.

But alas, no one understood his pain.

Jisung watched with concern in the distance at the sulking cat, pondering what had happened. He was so cheery a few days ago, after getting his mood sorted out by Chan, but now all he did was mope in his cat den again, it was rare nowadays to see him patrolling the halls. If you did manage to catch the miracle, he would hiss and retreat, fangs out to bite you if you got too close. The quokka grew more and more worried for the bunny as the days passed, his worries piling much higher than any of the members would compare, skyscraper tall if you needed an exact measurement.

Eventually Han decided on steeling his nerves and entering the treacherous den anyway. He didn't care if he got scratched, bitten or clawed at both mentally and physically, he needed to know if his soulmate was okay, clearly upset by something that Minho had the pressing urge to keep inside like a precious stone to his heart.

"Lee Know hyung..?" He calls out wearily, as if a cat toy was slung around his neck, pointing to him as bait to lure the cat in. Sure enough, a mushroom of hair peeked out from the corner, piercing eyes boring into the soul that dared step foot in his cavern. The cat waltzes closer, eyeing the nervous prey up and down, scanning for any signs of trying to lure him out again. He shuddered at that thought, Changbin using actual cat toys the previous day made him feel so flustered, and probably frustrated the dwaekki walked out red face with tear streaks afterwards. (maybe will be a side piece.)

Surprisingly, he found none, offering a warmer, more soft nod before letting the ace in. Jisung heaved a sigh he didn't know he was holding, trudging into the room. What left him astonished wasn't the fact the room wasn't exactly primed and proper to the bunny's usual liking, but they were stuffed toys, absolutely everywhere. On the floor, on his desk, on his bed, enough to be considered an actual cat playground. He didn't question Lee Know for his choices though, he knew better than to.

"Now, tell me why are you here?" Minho started off, his voice sounded different to the touch, Han couldn't tell if it was the lack of hearing it these few days or it was much softer, like a gentle stroke to his ears. It felt incredibly soothing, he didn't know why, but he did know he was not going to be complaining about this change of demeanour anytime soon.

"I just wanted to check if you were okay, y'know, with the ignoring situation and all." The younger mutters, shuffling awkwardly in the spot where he sat next to the older on his bed, tempted to lie down onto the array of stuffed soft plushies that practically were calling his name. There wasn't a response, only the quiet breeze that tried pathetically to calm them down.

"I-I just, it's stupid." Minho relented, sighing as he buried his face into his arms, propped up by his elbows that sat uncomfortably on his thighs. Jisung very much frowned at this, he would never ever think anyone's problems were stupid, even if they were the smallest of smallest. Everyone deserved to vent, especially when they have been rotting in their room the whole day. A comforting hand squeezed the older's shoulder, encouraging him to speak up what was on his mind. Staring for a moment, he finally caved, laying his head onto Han's lap as he rambled about everything that he felt.

A pang of guilt shot through the younger's heart, had he really been hiding this the entire time, much less be good at it? His heart squeezed, running a hand of affection through Lino's hair in soothing strokes to calm their heavy hearts. They both just sat in silence, letting the weight Minho had carried like boulders come of his shoulders little by little under the warm presence of his ray of light, not including his children. "You look just like a cat sometimes..." Jisung wandered aloud, hand going to scratch behind Lino's ear gently, like people would with cats. A squeak left his mouth, and to Han's surprise he earned honey-like giggles in return. His eyes widened, smiling softly when no signs of hands trying to pull him away came.

If he wanted to be treated softly, he would get it now then.

"It tihihickles! Bahahahdly!" Minho choked out, squealing again when a nail traced along the shell of his ear, covering his face with his hands. A soft chuckle came from above, smiling down at the cat who was melting like an ice cream in the heat from the soft affection.

"Cats are so cute! Are they not?" Han motioned to the wide smile on Lino's face, giddy and happy from all the sensations he felt. Butterflies swarmed his tummy, the chains that once weighed him down replaced by a guiding light to his dark pit of emptiness, a dimple very much prominent on his face. His cheeks lit up at the underlying compliment he detected, shaking his head as he continued to giggle.

"No? Cats aren't cute? Then why is this big one proving me wrong? He emphasised his point with a scribble to his neck, earning a squeal and scrunching of shoulders before he went back to scratching those ears. The room filled with warmth and giggles, Minho eventually dazed out with glistening eyes and a permanent smile, scooped up surprisingly easy by the quokka.

"Ehehehe...fehehelt gohohohod..." Minho was practically giggle drunk by that point, snuggling up to Jisung like a cat would, making the younger's heart melt into a puddle of goo akin to the older. Wrapping his arms around Lee Know, he felt so much warmth radiating from him, pondering if it was because he was so giddy with happiness or he was just naturally like that, he never really was the big spoon was he?

"Goodnight, sleep well." Was all Minho heard before passing out, ensuring that smile was completely turned upside down after being comforted with such warmth that he definitely, positively knew he wasn't getting anywhere else, even though he knew Chan was a liable option. He just favoured Jisung, his soulmate, and his best friend.

They definitely got scolded for the plushie mess they left behind though, and got an earful for worrying the members silly.

“Right foot blue!” Minho called out, giggling as the members shifted themselves in awkward positions on the Twister mat. A few boys were already out and watched anxiously as Hyunjin and Seungmin wobbled after crashing into each other. Soon after, the two had tipped over, now leaving Jisung and the maknae.

“Left hand… yellow.”

The ace maneuvered his hand under Jeongin’s head so the youngest was basically leaning into him, the two laughing at their uncomfortable places. “Just give up! My arms are getting sore.” I.N groaned.

“You first!” Han retaliated, lifting his head up and shaking his hair over the boy’s neck and ears.

The maknae squealed. “Agh! Tickling is cheheating!” He scrunched his shoulders, trying to rid the feathery feeling from his skin. “Minho hyuhuhung!” He yelled, hoping the older would scold the mischievous ace.

He was unfortunately wrong.

“Well… it’s technically not cheating…” The dancer grinned.

Jeongin squealed when he felt fingers in his neck. The boy’s wiggling digits were way worse than his hair! “STAHAP!” The ever so sensitive maknae shrieked, pressing his ear to his neck in desperation.

The members laughed from their seats beside the mat, eagerly watching the action unfold. “Tickle him back!” They shouted enthusiastically.

The vocalist complied, reaching his hand down to squeeze at Jisung’s side, his shoulders still scrunched crazily to prevent the boy’s fingers from digging deeper into his neck.

At the first squeeze, Han let out a loud yell and nearly fell over. He retracted his hand, instead shooting it to his side at the tickly feeling. “Stahp!!” He squeaked when fingers stuffed into his own neck. This time he was the one to scrunch up.

“Stop blocking me!” The youngest teased, worming his fingers to the crook of the boy’s neck and relishing in the adorable giggles he received.

“You blohocked me tohohohohoo!” The ace determined his scrunching to be fruitless and quickly reached his hand out for the maknae’s ribs. Unfortunately, Jeongin found the perfect opportunity to thrust his fingers up the boy’s armpits.

“STAHAHAHAHAP!!” Han finally collapsed at the attack in his hypersensitive hollows, falling flat on the Twister mat and pounding the ground in faux anger. “That’s so unfair! Armpits were off limits!” He complained despite the wide grin plastered to his face.

The vocalist rolled his eyes. “Is someone a sore loser~” He cooed, grabbing the older’s hands before he could respond and pinning them to his chest with ease. Once comfortably seated on the boy’s hips, he found Jisung’s lowest rib and dug in with vigor.

“AHH!! Nohohohoho plehehehease don’t do thihis!” Han threw his head back, cheeks a burning red the more the members teased him.

“Should we get someone to hold his arms up?” Chan asked, scanning the room for a boy willing to take the thrashing aces arms.

Hyunjin scoffed. “Last time I held his arms he got me back ten times worse.” He shivered at just the thought.

Luckily, the sunshine boy was happy to volunteer. He loved hearing Han’s laugh, how could he pass up this opportunity?

“No! Nohohohoho dohohohon’t!” The poor boy was a laughing mess. He was grateful when I.N let up in favor of handing his arms to Felix. But if he knew one thing, it was that he was not going down without a fight.

“Stop tickling me!” Jeongin grunted when Jisung kept reaching for his sides, trying to throw the younger off of him and prevent his inescapable punishment. It didn’t tickle that much, but it definitely annoyed the vocalist.

“Get his knees!” He heard Minho call out, and this was more of an invitation for the maknae to reach behind and squeeze at Han’s kneecap.

The ace couldn’t stop the shriek that left his mouth. “STAHAHAHAHAHAP!!” Felix pulled his arms up, the task rather easy due to the quokka’s weak state.

“Now.” I.N cracked his knuckles teasingly before tasering the boy’s lower sides with his two index fingers.

“AGH!! Stohohohop,” The older tried pulling himself up, but Jeongin’s fingers only followed him. “Nononono I’m sahahahaharryyy!” The ace let out a slew of quick giggles when thumbs were pushed into the area above his hipbones. He bucked his hips up but found himself unable to escape his ticklish punishment.

The older flinched with every movement, trying his best to keep his laughter at bay. “Aw, come on hyung~ Let your real laugh out!” The maknae teased, finding the boy’s dreaded upper ribs and pushing in lightly.

“N-nohohohohahaha!!” Han tried his best to steady himself, tugging at his pinned arms to protect his sensitive torso. “D-dohohohohon’t—!! STAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAP!!” The ace crumbled when his ribs were kneaded and massaged with unbearable precision. His raspy laughter flowed freely and he kicked his legs helplessly.

Once Jeongin was kneed in the back, he was quick to abandon Jisung’s ribs, instead grabbing a knee and squeezing hard. A bark of laughter was forced from the victim and his eyes squeezed shut as his knees were poked and scribbled mercilessly. “Why ahare you doing thihihihis!” Han giggled out, the light tickling giving him the strength to rip his arms out of Yongbok’s grip.

“Teaching you a lesson about being a sore loser.” The maknae grumbled, not paying much attention to the older’s predicament. Since he was turned around, giving soft and harsh squeezes to the boy’s sensitive legs, he didn’t even realize Jisung’s arms were free until he felt fingers in his neck once again. “GAH!” He squealed, pressing his ear to his shoulder and hastily turning around. “What is wihith you alwahays tickling my neheheck!” Once in his previous position facing the boy, Jeongin wasted no time in stuffing his hands up the ace’s pits, forcing Jisung to clamp his arms down and scream.

“STAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAP!! YOU BRAHAHAHAT NOT THEHEHEHEHERE!!” The brunet twisted every which way, arching his back and clawing at I.N’s arms. “PLEHEHEHEHEHEASE I’M SAHAHAHARRY JUST STOHOHOHOP!!” Han smiled so big his cheeks ached, his desperation growing the more the vocalist tickled.

Instead of the mercy the older had begged for, the maknae merely dug his first four fingers into both of Jisung’s underarms, making sure to push his hands in deep. “PLEASEPLEASEPLEHEHEHEHEASEEE!! STAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!” The boy squirmed and writhed weakly.

“What do I get if I do stop?” Jeongin tilted his head with a smirk, lightening his fingers to a steady wiggling instead of rough digging, knowing the older was laughing too hard to bargain.

The older whined through his hysterics, a blush rising onto his cheeks. “Anything you wahahahahant, I’ll do anythihihihing!” He squeezed his eyes shut, his ears and neck now holding the same pink tint as his cheeks.

The vocalist pondered the proposal, slowing his fingers to a stop but not moving his hands from the boy’s hollows. “Anything..?” He repeated, mainly to himself but Jisung answered anyways.

“Yes anything! Just p-please get your fingers out of there!” The youngest complied and removed his hands, but didn’t budge from his seat on the ace’s waist.

“Then you can’t tickle me back for this.” The maknae declared after having made his decision.

Han’s jaw dropped in disbelief. “No way! You totally deserve to be wrecked!” He screamed when he felt a jab to his tummy. “Nonononono not agahahahain!” His pleads fell on deaf ears and soon he was back to giggling nonstop, fighting the urge to give in and give the vocalist what he wanted.

I.N grinned in earnest when the older broke out into his gummy smile. But despite the boy’s adorable flushed face and crescent eyes, Jeongin still had a point to make. Placing all ten of his fingers on Jisung’s lower belly, he vibrated into the soft skin, ripping shriek after shriek from the sensitive boy. “AH!! Nohohohohohoho, Stahahahahahap!!” The ace pushed frantically at the blonde’s hands, head thrown back wildly as cackles flowed from his lips freely. He jolted with a screech when the younger’s thumb dug into a particularly sensitive spot.

“HEHEHEHEHEHEHELP MEEEE!!” He screamed, suddenly remembering Felix who had been above him mere minutes before.

“Yongbok hyung left with the others a little while ago.” I.N smirked at the look of betrayal on his victim’s face. “Said something about helping Minho hyung with dinner.”

Jisung arched his back in defeat, bucking his hips up aggressively when the maknae’s fingers sneakily slipped down to the area, pushing his fingers skillfully into the older’s hipbones. “WAITWAITWAIT I CAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA—!!” The brunet was not expecting the younger to go for his death spot and he was left regretting every single decision he had made before this. Especially when Jeongin decided to make it more torturous and single out the hollows of his hips with his thumbs. Han wheezed out a scream as his body racked with silent laughter.

“Do you regret rejecting my offer now?” The vocalist asked smugly, giggling at the vigorous nod he received in response.

The ace drummed his legs on the floor, bucking his hips up while still nodding his head frantically.

Once I.N decided to take pity on the messy haired, flustered boy, he softened his touch just enough for the older to push his hands away and hold them in place to prevent any further attacks. After panting for a few moments, Han scrambled to make giddy apologies to the vocalist.

Jeongin just giggled, running a hand through the ace’s hair, tangled from all the thrashing. When Han regained his composure enough to make a snarky comment towards the younger, an unsuspecting Lee Know walked into the living room where the Twister mat still lay. “Dinners ready,” He called before heading back to the kitchen, successfully interrupting whatever sarcastic remark the boy was about to say.

Maybe it was best he kept those thoughts to himself…

Sir Eric crept deep into the cave, down to the dragon's chamber. Instead of the usual pile of gold, the immense reptile was sleeping on a hoard of toys.

The dragon stirred, bolting upright. "Stop, thief!"

"Gold coins?" Sir Eric said. "Finally, treasure worth stealing!" He turned, running back to the surface.

Ok first the positives, this is a lot better than I thought it was going to be probably the best I've ever done on a project so I'm proud of my self. The only thing that makes me mad about it is I did not do the lip/nose right. I was using clay so i didn't want to get my phone out for reference pictures so I kinda forgot what the lips and nose looked like.

This is what the lips and nose was supposed to look like. Also the brown I used is darker but it matches the stuffed animal more.

This was the type of lip I was going for (this isn't my picture I just wanted to show you because it's hard to explain.

But anyways I'm still really happy with it even if the eyes are a little uneven it adds ✨ Character ✨
