I have been thinking for a while that I'm not made to do commissions. Or work as an artist in general.

I said at the start of the year that "I'll open commissions soon" and then never did. I had the sheets of prices and examples ready since then but never dared to post them. One of the reasons being that I have poor time management and deadlines kill me. I also have trouble with communication (you already know this) and if the other person doesn't do the bare minimum to specify me what they want I can't do anything. I'm supposed to draw something for you, it has to be to your liking, I can't do the job if you don't explain to me what you want.

This is still a hobby anyways, I only draw whatever I feel like drawing and if there is something I don't want to draw I don't do it.

But I see people saying stuff like "if people are interested in my art I should sell it (as in making prints, stickers and such)". Once I read people saying that they get mad when they see a talented artist with no print shop nor Patreon, or ko-fi, or whatever platform they could be making a profit of, because of that same reason: they could be gaining money from something they like that they are good at, and people could donate to them to support them, but they don't have anything set for that.

Most teachers and counselors I had, one of the first things they told me when they saw my art was that "I should work from this" "I should get a job that involves art" to "use my talent" "I can't just do nothing with the talent I have" "I have to use it for something", and while I know all of this comes from a good place, it only makes me feel pressured, like I have to do it, as if me being talented at art meant that I must use it for profit.

(I perfectly know the quality of my art, I know it would be perfect for selling, especially if it's fanart. I don't brag often about it because, no, like ????? Maybe if I'm especially proud of something specific but I'm more proud of my neat signature tbh. I don't complain much about my art either because honestly, most people won't notice the mistakes if I don't say what is wrong with my art, and it would become a toxic habit that'd send me into a bad mental state)

People have shown interest in my art before, I know there are people who would like to buy a print from me, but the thought of selling stress me out. Being the one who's in charge of making the merch, searching for a way of sending it to the person, setting prices, solving any problem that may come with- the whole thing that involves selling your stuff. I don't see myself managing any of that.

Making a Patreon comes with having something every month to post there for the people that are paying to see exclusive art that I won't be posting publicly until some time later. Ko-fi would be more suitable since it seems to be made for donations and you can set up a shop there, which is cool but I feel like I'd have it closed all the time. Idk. If I get artblock and I don't draw for a while I wouldn't feel good having any way of donation open.

If I end up selling my art it would be more to the fact that I know there will be people excited to have a print of my art in their hands rather than because of the money I'll make of it. But there is another problem that comes to it that I already talked about in the past: I don't want to sell one (1) sticker for 30 fucking EUR/USD. If you are in Europe there wouldn't be (much of) a problem, but to ship to America it would cost 30€ of fee.

I want to design stickers sometime, or pins. And if I end up making merch of my art I want to make money from it I guess, but idk...

I think I'd be better off working from something that doesn't require too much mental and/or physical strength from me so I can leave art as just a hobby. But that's another problem of its own.

Last Movie: uhhhhhhh damn, what was it again? I think the last one I saw in theaters was Guardians 3, and that was really good. I watched the new Ant-Man by myself a while ago, and that one was pretty meh I don't really watch a lot of movies tbh

Currently Reading: I never read any books (even though I probably should), right one the only one in my list is As We Fall, the historical fantasy romance novel that was entirely written AND published by my good and talented friend @anyawildt (I feel bad about how slow I have been reading it, I've just been caught up in a lot of other stuff) but please check it out!!!!!!!!

Relationship Status: Quite happily taken, been with my fartner for something like 7 years now and it's goin great!

Current Obsession: well most of my focus for months now has been on my gaming channel, so that's kind of it? lately like most everyone I've been playing Baldur's Gate 3, and it's really good, and I'm also playing some Cult of the Lamb, which is also very good!

hmmm not any blogs that are Exclusively Malec i dont think but i do have a few recs (ngl off the top of my head i can't think of many ppl who arent just My Friends but welp to be fair i did befriend most of them because i loved them, so)

@luxxmagnus is one of my absolute favorite ppl uwu it's a sh-only blog with heavy emphasis on Magnus (duh) but they post a lot of good shit and theres also a fair share of maia and raphael which is always 👌

@kinkymagnus is a porn blog but theyre the best porn blog and again malec exclusive. u probably know them if u follow me but welp

@thesorrowoflizards is multifandom but has some great malec and Magnus takes

@magnuscaresalot is a wonderful artist and fanfic writer! again they have a lot of sh stuff not just malec but i definitely recommend them

@hongbeanmochi is multifandom but they are, and i cannot stress this enough, an AMAZING artist, definitely one of my favorites for this fandom. their art style is super cute and theyre insanely talented and everything they do fills me with joy. also they take commissions so go appreciate them and shower them in money! its what they deserve

Somewhere in my #tutorials or #art tips tag there should be something about hands I did a while ago? But honestly anon the only real tip I can give you is to use a lot of references and draw them a lot, which sounds useless but it’s really how I’m learning how to draw them orz

Can I request a headcannon on the guys reacting to the MC becoming an auction manager with them?

Okay, so I’m assuming that MC, after years of working underthe bidders and proving her prowess, finally gets promoted as an auctionmanager to work alongside them. Her job would entail handling auction logisticsand collecting feedback from the IVC patrons.

Eisuke: He’d be immenselyproud of her (after all, Eisuke lovesit when MC takes charge ;^)). It was he who brought up the suggestion of addingher to the team in the first place. At first, everyone thought he was joking,but when they saw the dead serious look on his face, they kept quiet. He’s knownfor a while that she had the potential to become a part of the business, and he’sextremely satisfied with his decision of making her an auction manager. Honestly,he’d purposely give her the most difficult jobs not because he wants to give hea hard time, but because he knows she can handle it. He’d also let her shadowhim during meetings and MAYBE groom her into becoming the next leader, whoknows?

Soryu: At first, he’d be a bit afraid for her safety andwelfare. She’s a civilian, what if she gets targeted by their enemies? Can shehandle the burden that comes with this job? What if she gets, well, killed??? The others call him out onoverreacting, and MC tells him he should trust her more. Okay, he concedes. Buthe’s only truly convinced that she’s in her element when he sees her at the IVCparty, skillfully mingling with the guests and keeping everything pleasantly undercontrol. He’s proud of her for making it this far (but he still gives her a gunjust in case things go wrong).

Baba: He’s really happy for her! He’s been the nicest one toMC since Day One of her (unwillingly) getting involved in the auctions, and he’sso happy to see her grow from a nervous employee to a charismatic auctionmanager :’) (basically this lmao). He’d be willing to show her the ropes ofanything she has a hard time doing. He’d even take her out to drinks if he’sfeeling like it. Also, you can bet he’d try to influence her into somedebauchery lmaooo

Ota: He’s going to tease her about it, saying stuff like “ohlmao I didn’t know you had it in you”, when in reality, he’s actually reallyproud of her. Yeah, he’s not gonna go around gushing about how good she is, butyou can bet he’d try to help her with whatever he can in his own way (i.e.distracting pushy IVC guests, getting her free passes to go to exclusiveplaces, using his media influence so her rep doesn’t get tarnished, etc.). Ofcourse, he’d be in charge of making sure MC looks the part of a classy auctionmanager. He’d pick her suits and her gowns.

Mamoru: It wasn’t that he thought of her less before, butnow he’s genuinely surprised that she could handle being a part of the businesswith such finesse. Now, he’s gained this respect for her (but of course, he’snot exactly going to show it out in the open). He does occasionally tease herfor being the youngest one in the group, but if some outsider tries to insulther for anything (especially being a woman), he’d gladly put out his cigaretteon said interloper, if she’d let him.

Shuichi: He’d also be proud of her (FINALLY, someone he canactually take seriously in this oddball group), but he wouldn’t show it at all.Instead, he’d show his pride by taking her into his wing and teaching her aboutthe politics that goes into the business. But of course, he’d do it Shuichistyle, which means spartan, strict, and systematic af. He’d be brutally honest with his criticism, but heonly does it because she needs the feedback for her own good. When he finallysees that she can handle herself well, he gives her a shiny new tie pin he hadcommissioned himself—you know, something to match her sharp new suit.

He’s going to be really supportive about it and he’dbe willing to assist her with matters in the research/medical field if she everneeded anything (though tbh MC would probably end up assisting him in dailymatters more than anything lmao). Also, he’d definitely enjoy having tea timewith her more often, not to mention her new suit shows off her clavicle reallywell…

Hikaru: He’d snort about it and tell her she finally gotpromoted from maid to auction manager, but deep down he’d actually be pretty happyfor her, considering how much he’s seen her work from the bottom to the top. It’shonestly refreshing for him to see her work outside hotel rooms for a changebecause, for the longest time, he’s always recognized that if someone were tohandle the auctions well, it’d be her. To be honest, he’s always thought of heras an equal, so nothing would really change between them? Except maybe he’d bewilling to make a person “mysteriously disappear” if they ever messed with herduring the auctions.

Hi everyone! First of all, I apologize if anyone is waiting for my reply for quite a long time. I’m not ignoring anyone, I just have serious troubles with free time at this moment. I have about one hour for online activity per day (the rest of time I am working offline) and I am not always able to reply all messages I'm getting during this hour. I'm really sorry for being so slow, please, forgive me for that, I will reply everyone, I just need some time for that. I'm very flattered you are interested in my work, thank everyone who ever thought about commissions! It is really hard to keep track on tumblr messages and I am just not as often here as I am on etsy.

Second, some fandom stuff :D

1. Yes, I watched Steven bomb 7 and I am absolutely in awe with those episodes. All the new gems! And Lars! He redeemed himself so well, omg! Not gonna lie - before this episode Lars was one of my least favorite characters, but now I am literally in love to the point of slight obsession XD I already got couple of commissions for his plush, so you will surely see them in my blog in a month or so :) Btw, those episodes were absolutely not what I expected, for some reason I thought we will see the return of the human Zoo, but I guess it's cool I was absolutely wrong (okay I really wanted to see Famethyst again, fml, I love them way too much)

2. I watched Nintendo Direct. I couldn't care less about Pokken, but I am super hyped for USUM, especially because of I just know those sequels should be AMAZING. They should be somewhat like B2/W2 and those games were absolutely awesome and I am super excited to see what will be in USUM! Other that sequels should have super rich postgame and just ingame content, it should be major turn competitive-wise (it is the most important part for me, tbh, as I am competitive player). We are surely getting move tutors, and GF is now just freaking OBLIGATED to give us Battle Frontier or however USUM analog of BF will be called, after so many teases in previous games >___<""" Also super hoping for gen 7 HA starters release (I just want my Intimidate Incineroar, okay?). I guess new Megas will be announced, and we for sure will get couple of new Z-moves. In theory, what was shown with Mimikyu - was it's exclusive z-move? Also, weak theory, but I'm really hoping for that - I have headcanon that in USUM the third Type:Null/Silvally, which fate is unknown so far, will have its place. Maybe it will be modified version of Silvally, like, Silvally 2.0, I dunno? D: with other stats, or other ability (imagine this dude having analog of Protean :D), or ability to work with Z-crystals instead of memories. I have no idea what's with those Ultra-Lunala and Ultra-Solgaleo or how they will be called, so far it looks exactly like Kyurem fusions in Unova, but, I guess, they cannot just do the same thing again? .__.""" I'm not playing non-rated battle spot and ubers on smogon, so I'm not too excited about them, but it will be interesting to see, what is that and how broken they are (won't be surprized by anything, I guess, after Primals and mega-Ray) Also hoping for some new shiny hunting methods, because of SM is awfully boring for shiny hunting, but can't imagine, what they will give us D: Lowkey hoping for shiny UB hunting, but huh, no way it will happen XD
