Belle And Sebastian - How To Solve Our Human Problems pt. 1 - 3 (2018). I think I speak for all the B&S fans that most of us still linger on with their 90s and early 2000 albums. They represented and became a reference for what indie pop music was to sound like. It was that sensibility and acknowledgment that we all took as the obvious of what B&S was all about. However, recently their music never seems to capture that obvious flare and freshness that you so long to expect from them. Maybe it’s not the music that’s changed but both the band and we have gotten older and been exposed to just too much music to ignite a spark in ourselves as they did 20 years ago. But as a fan you only remember that beautiful moment when you first heard the album ‘If You’re Feeling Sinister’. So you go and buy their latest releases even though their recent albums have disappointed you and in the back of your mind you know you will be once more disappointed. Fortunately these series of eps are not bad as expected. You just have to come to terms with the understanding that the times have moved on and we have all grown past those days. Perhaps one of Scotland's finest exports, alongside Mogwai, Jesus And Mary Chain, Teenage Fanclub and the delgados, Belle And Sebastian have been wowing audiences with their playful wit and joyous sense of the ridiculous for well over 20 years now. From debut album 'If Your Feeling Sinister' and the now legendary sophomore album 'Tigermilk', both released in 1996, Stuart, Isobel (Campbell) and a whole host of members former and present have been delighting music fans the world over with arch tales of love won and lost, quirky asides on simple pleasures and irreverent discourses on the pursuit of love. Recent releases have seen the band reinvent themselves to some extent, with a more 'dance' direction, wholly unexpected yet just as splendid, the signature B & S still present, that subtle, wry charm will always be there... God Help The Girl (Resenha)

“Internada num hospital para cuidar de problemas emocionais, Eve (Emily Browning) começa a escrever canções como uma forma de se sentir melhor. A composição de músicas se torna mais que um modo de espairecer e ela vai para a cidade, onde conhece James (Olly Alexander) e Cassie (Hannah Murray), dois músicos com seus próprios objetivos e problemas. O que se segue, é uma história de renascimento durante um longo sonho de verão.”

Esse é, provavelmente, um dos filmes mais fofos que eu já assisti na minha vida. Tudo nele é bonitinho, e embora muitas pessoas possam considerá-lo simples demais ou melancólico demais, essa é uma das características que fizeram com que eu me apaixonasse completamente por ele. E é um daqueles filmes em que você imediatamente se identifica com os personagens, com sua história e te fazem pensar sobre a vida. Afinal de contas, quem nunca usou a arte (seja ela qual for) para tentar “fugir” da realidade, como uma válvula de escape? Bem, eu nunca; 1) porque, basicamente, não tenho talento nenhum pra isso, rs. 2) porque, tenho o péssimo hábito de começar as coisas e nunca terminar (espero que não aconteça isso aqui). E 3) porque, ao invés disso, resolvi divulgar e enaltecer a arte dos outros rsrsrs #soudesses.

Ele é um filme indie, daqueles que fazem mais sucesso nesses festivais de cinema pelo mundo a fora e que provavelmente você nunca assistirá numa grande sala de cinema pelo Brasil, por exemplo. Claro que, se você for um devorador de coisas fora do mainstream, assim como eu, provavelmente já deve ter ouvido falar e deve estar tão apaixonado, lê-se obcecado, quanto eu. Pra se ter uma ideia, o filme é dirigido por Stuart Murdoch (líder e vocalista da banda Belle & Sebastian) e grande parte da trilha-sonora soa bem como o que a banda faz mesmo, e a prova disso, é que o filme em si provém de um projeto musical iniciado por Murdoch em 2004, onde um grupo de vocalistas mulheres foi formado para cantar sobre o dia-a-dia de garotas. Fofo né?

Uma das coisas que torna o filme tão especial, é o elenco, tendo como atriz principal, Emily Browning (mais conhecida por Sucker Punch - Mundo Surreal) interpretando Eve; Hannah Murray (mais conhecida por Game Of Thrones atualmente, e também pela série Skins) interpretando Cassie; e por fim, Olly Alexander (mais conhecido atualmente por ser o vocalista da banda Years & Years) interpretando James. O trio principal possui uma química incrível e isso torna os personagens apaixonantes, daqueles que você morreria pra ter uma amizade, pra sair juntos, fazer parte do grupo, sabe?. Eve é a bela garota exótica e problemática. James é o geek bonitinho, mas esquisito. E Cassie é a menina que vive em um universo cor de rosa, repleto de lirismo.

Como eu disse, o filme é todo nessa vibe mais underground o que não é ruim, eu particularmente amo filmes assim, e é uma excelente pedida pra quem gosta de músicas/bandas alternativas, moda, desses filmes que te fazem refletir sobre alguma coisa, seja isso pessoal ou até mesmo sobre o ambiente em que você está inserido. Uma das coisas que mais me chamou a atenção nele também, é o caminho que a personagem principal trilha, tendo seus problemas, sonhos e recaídas, porém sempre almejando melhoras e sempre, sempre sendo fiel à si mesma. Me identifiquei bastante 

E por esse motivo, resolvi criar esse tumblr vide o tema dele, totalmente inspirado no filme, para assim como ela, ter uma válvula de escape e poder expor meus gostos, pensamentos, e quem sabe, por quê não me encontrar também? E talvez ninguém leia, ou talvez, quem ler acabe se identificando com algo e compartilhe teus gostos comigo também, são inúmeras as possibilidades aqui e só o fato de poder expressar essas coisas já me deixa bastante satisfeito. No geral, fica a dica sobre um filme maravilhoso, com uma história linda, com uma fotografia belíssima e uma trilha-sonora incrível.
