"if you're going to replace me, at least have the audacity to kill me thoroughly" is genuinely such a fucking rattling line. i relate to string theocracy so fucking much and i remember hearing that and, "if you're going to control me, at least make it interesting theatrically" and just. relating so fucking hard. this song is so me and idk how mili saw me and then put me into a song but they fucking did it

to me, the official pm long version of 'string theocracy' having all references to angela's attractive or sexual character aspects competely censored shows that limbus really isn't the first time project moon as a company has made decisions undermining or contradicting themes and messages present in their games

>"I tell myself I'm a tough girl."
>"maybe we're all cold machines stuffed in the human skin with human sins-"
>"Cut it out, you've already lost all that precious bravery's gonna get you hurt in a world that feeds on the miniority"

read your tags on the tiebreaker and hard agree. it makes me a tad sad that PM songs are sweeping, not that they're bad, but there's clearly a bias and the fact that they come from a game and a context you can get attached too influences a lot
i've always had a strong preference for songs that tell a story (even pre-mili, i love vocaloid song series and i miss the era where those got tie-in novels and i'm glad that's making a comeback). my favorite mili songs are often interconnected to each other and that context strengthens my enjoyment of them all (rosetta/camellia, witch's invitation/sl0t/ga1ahad/summoning, world.execute(me);/world.search(you);/sustain++;), and the songs made for ruina and limbus explicitly tie into the games' stories while also being self-contained which is cool. its just a shame that project moon fans seem to dgaf about any of the other stories the band has told through their songs :(
