Hello💗 may I have a request for a fic or something i feel like it’s on par with your ideas😁!
Perhaps a vampire!minho trope in which YN has a "romantic" idea or fascination with vampires and is enamoured with vampire-related fiction.
students are all adult, kinda like a uni
At the start of term, a new student (Minho) arrives for main course of dance studies or something along those lines, but also having common classes like english and maths so they have interaction.
They had to discuss a book that they like in a presentation-like style infront of the class in English for their project, and naturally, YN talks about vampires—clearly thinking they're not real and just made up! Minho instantly perks his head up at the mention, and ever since, Minho makes fun/teases her for it, saying that the conception of a vampire isn't always romantic and that it's a LOT more than that. Which is funny cause he’s literally walking sex (a vampire) But, For example, he explains idk like biting during ..yk.. is a lot more connection building than people thing etc! and obviously, yn is like whaaaat are you on about, but in reality he’s a vampire himself, a strong one at that (lowkey a person body guard hehe)
i hope all this makes sense, and if you choose to write it (which you’re not entitled too, i won’t mind🥹), you can add your own twist or idea! it was just a thing that popped into my head💚
- enemies-to-lover situation!
I’m sorry this took FOREVER!!!! You have waited nearly a whole ass month for this. If you like this I will continue this for you 🤍
100 Years Older
The cobblestones of Oxford shimmered beneath the muted October sun, reflecting the vibrant hues of autumn leaves carpeting the ground. Y/N, a whirlwind of nervous energy and misplaced gothic romance, navigated the labyrinthine streets, her suitcase bumping against her leg. She'd finally arrived at the hallowed halls of Oxford University, a dream realised. Her heart, however, beat not for the prospect of academic glory, but for the whispered legends of the city, of ancient stones imbued with secrets, and of the elusive creatures of the night.
Her fascination with the gothic, particularly with vampires, bordered on the obsessive. Dracula, with his aristocratic charm and tragic allure, held a particular grip on her imagination. She saw not a monster, but a misunderstood soul, a creature of the night yearning for connection, albeit in a rather unconventional way.
Her first lecture, a seminar on Bram Stoker's Dracula, was a whirlwind of professorial pronouncements and student murmurs. She found herself seated beside a young man, his gaze fixed on the floor, an air of quiet intensity surrounding him. He had an almost unsettling stillness about him, a pale complexion that seemed to absorb the light, and eyes, when he finally looked up, that was the colour of a stormy sea.
"Fascinating, isn't it?" he murmured, his voice a low rumble that sent a shiver down her spine.
Y/N, startled, turned to him. "Absolutely! Though I must confess, I find myself somewhat...sympathetic to Dracula."
He raised an eyebrow, a slow smile curving his lips. "Sympathetic? To a bloodsucking fiend?"
"He's misunderstood!" she exclaimed, "A creature of the night, yearning for connection, for love, even if it's in his own twisted way."
He chuckled, a low, melodious sound that seemed to vibrate through her. "Love? Dracula? My dear, I think you've been reading too many late-night romances."
"But think about it," she insisted, "He's a creature of legend, a force of nature. There's a certain...romance to it, don't you think? The forbidden, the allure of the unknown."
He leaned closer, his eyes gleaming with an unsettling amusement. "Romance, you say? There's a lot more to it than that, you know."
Y/N, flustered, felt a blush creep up her neck. "More to what?"
He smirked, his gaze lingering on her lips. "Biting, for example. It's not just about feeding, you know. It's about...connection. A bond."
Y/N, completely bewildered, could only stare at him, her mind reeling. What on earth was he talking about?
Over the next few weeks, Minho, as she learned his name, became a constant source of both amusement and bewilderment. He would tease her relentlessly about her vampire obsession, his comments laced with a knowing glint in his eyes that she couldn't quite decipher.
"You know," he'd say, as they walked through the ancient university grounds, "true romance isn't about flowery prose and moonlit serenades. It's about...passion. Intensity."
"Passion? Intensity?" she'd echo, feeling a strange heat creeping up her neck.
He'd simply smile, that enigmatic smile that seemed to hold a thousand secrets. "You'll understand someday," he'd assure her, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down her spine.
Their assigned essay, a critical analysis of Dracula's evil, proved to be a point of contention. While Y/N struggled to reconcile her romantic notions with the novel's depiction of Dracula as a monstrous predator, Minho seemed to find a perverse amusement in her attempts.
"You see," he'd say, leaning closer, his breath warm on her cheek, "evil is subjective. It's all about perspective."
Y/N, feeling a strange flutter in her stomach, would find herself captivated by his nearness, by the intensity of his gaze. His words, though cryptic, seemed to hold a hidden meaning, a deeper layer of understanding that she yearned to unravel.
One evening, as they debated the merits of Van Helsing's methods, Minho surprised her. "You know," he said, his voice unusually serious, "you see the world in shades of gray. You don't just see black and white."
Y/N, intrigued, looked at him. "What do you mean?"
He leaned closer, his eyes searching hers. "Most people see Dracula as purely evil. But you...you see the complexity, the tragedy. You see the yearning beneath the monstrous."
Y/N felt a blush creep up her neck. "I suppose so."
He smiled, a genuine smile that warmed his eyes. "That's what makes you different, Y/N. You see the beauty in the shadows."
The compliment, unexpected and genuine, left her breathless. She found herself drawn to him, not just because of his teasing, but because of the glimpses she caught of the thoughtful, insightful man beneath the playful facade.
As the weeks turned into months, their connection deepened. They would spend hours debating literature, philosophy, and life, often late into the night in the dimly lit library. Minho, a voracious reader himself, would challenge her assumptions, push her to think critically, to question her own beliefs. He would quote obscure poets, his voice a low rumble that seemed to vibrate through her.
One evening, as they discussed the concept of forbidden love, Minho leaned closer, his eyes gleaming in the firelight.
"Forbidden love," he mused, "is often the most intoxicating."
Y/N, feeling a strange flutter in her stomach, felt a thrill course through her. "Why do you say that?"
He smiled, that slow, predatory smile that always sent shivers down her spine. "Because it's a dance on the edge, a constant push and pull between desire and danger."
He leaned closer still, his breath warm on her cheek. "It's about the thrill of the unknown, the allure of the forbidden."
Y/N, mesmerized, could only stare at him, her breath catching in her throat. His words, his nearness, were intoxicating. She felt a strange pull towards him, a yearning she couldn't quite explain.
He reached out and gently traced the outline of her lips with his finger, his touch sending a jolt of electricity through her.
"You," he whispered, his voice husky, "are the most forbidden thing I've ever encountered."
Y/N, her heart pounding, felt a thrill course through her. She wanted to lean into his touch, to explore the intensity of his gaze, but something held her back. A strange sense of unease, a whisper of danger in the air.
He leaned back, his eyes holding a mischievous glint. "But you know," he said, his voice a low growl, "there are some shadows you're not prepared to face."
He reached out and gently traced the outline of her lips with his finger, his touch sending a jolt of electricity through her.
"Because," he whispered, his voice a chilling caress, "some shadows are more dangerous than you can possibly imagine."
He leaned back, his eyes gleaming in the firelight, a predatory glint in their depths.
"I am," he said, his voice a low growl, "a shadow, Y/N."
Y/N, her heart pounding like a drum, felt a shiver crawl down her spine. She wanted to believe him, to deny him, to run. But something held her captive, a strange fascination with the danger that simmered beneath the surface.
"What does that mean?" she whispered, her voice trembling.
He smiled, a slow, predatory smile that seemed to devour her. "You'll find out," he said, his voice a low caress. "Soon."
He leaned closer again, his breath warm on her cheek. "But be warned," he whispered, his voice a chilling caress, "once you step into the shadows, there's no turning back."
He leaned back, his eyes gleaming in the firelight, a predatory glint in their depths.
"I am," he said, his voice a low growl, "a shadow, Y/N."
And with that, he vanished, leaving her alone in the hushed library, her heart pounding like a drum, her mind reeling from his words, his touch, his chilling revelation.
Days turned into weeks, and the image of Minho haunted her. His words echoed in her mind, his touch lingered on her skin. She found herself constantly searching for him, her eyes drawn to every shadowed corner of the university, every dimly lit alleyway.
One evening, while walking through the ancient cemetery, she stumbled upon a secluded mausoleum. As she approached, she heard a low, melodic sound, a haunting melody that seemed to emanate from within. Curiosity piqued, she cautiously pushed open the heavy iron gates.
Inside, bathed in the moonlight filtering through the stained-glass windows, she found Minho. He sat on a crumbling stone bench, his head bowed, a melancholic melody drifting from the violin he cradled in his hands.
Y/N, mesmerised, watched him play. The music was haunting, beautiful, and strangely familiar. As he finished, he looked up, his eyes meeting hers. A slow smile spread across his lips.
"You followed," he murmured, his voice a low rumble.

You felt disconnected, as if you were watching yourself through someone else’s eyes. You didn’t feel like yourself anymore. It was as though you were losing yourself — your life, even if that life hadn’t seemed like much to live for. You were falling again and now you’re not sure if you’ll be able to get back up. The fear within you made you sick. You thought about how much time you truly have left. You can’t push this reality away, but it hurts even more when you realize that, in some way, you’re finally starting to feel.
You cannot describe it. You were in some way in the future,, but also right here at this moment. Everything seemed unreal to you. From learning about the supernatural, coming across the most gruesome sights your eyes have ever seen, to feeling — feeling wanted. You are doing it again…jumping away from your body and thinking about anything else than the present.
You were so scared…and you felt pathetic that you were only thinking about yourself right now. You should think about Mia and the others, about the fact that they also maybe be in danger. It’s been so long since you last saw them that it nearly felt like they weren’t truly there in the first place. You feel so selfish that the only thing you can think about is yourself right now…
There is so much that you haven’t seen and till now you didn’t even think twice about what you accomplished in your life. Which was nothing…Maybe these few days are truly your last. One side is making you terrified, but the other keeps pushing you to…him.
Was he really your the lost part of your soul or just a man leading you to your death?
Though he’s death and light all in one. There is darkness around him, like a cape, but under it is a man who showed you ways to life you have never knew. He made you look at life like it was just the beginning, maybe because he died so young and such a long time ago that there wasn’t anything other than death for him. The more you spend time with him, the more you fall deeper into the darkness. It was consuming, wrong, but oh, so appetizing.
You can’t get enough of it. His cold, pale skin and bloodied eyes that should scare you, but you thought you have never seen something as mesmerizing as the way they stared into yours. In a way you two were different, but the more you two become selfish, the more you taste the forbidden fruit — the more it stained both of your souls. You are supposed to be scared of him and once you were, but you realize that it was only the fear of the unknown.
You know him, you know him well enough to see how much blind you were. Your insecurities kept pushing you away from him and even your mind, but your heart still held the reins. You hate how you are again becoming absolutely consumed by someone. But he also couldn’t get enough of you…
The night when you were peacefully asleep, mind empty and body unaware of his lingering stare, he almost lost it. He almost lost control. Hyunjin’s chest filled with panic. The tickling of the clock became unbearable. Time was slowly closing on both of you and he for the first time became scared by how much it went by. Can he really pretend to be alright? To just sit here and wonder what would happen if he would just let go and finally have you?
On him, under him, in him — he would let you crawl your way into his heart and let you squeeze it hard enough so that it would maybe started to beat again. He wants to give everything and every part of him to you, just as much as he wants for you to give yours. Everything — your touch, so warm on his freezing skin, your eyes, so bright and youthful yet so wise, your lips, so soft and careful about your words, your body, so plush and full and your soul…that he maybe never truly feel.
Every moment without you went so slow, it was agonizing, but with you? So fast…He doesn’t know if he should pull away from you and give you more time or just let be selfish…but was it even selfishness, were his deepest desires taking control over him?
You look over your own features. You could see every wrinkle, spot, even the subtle fuzz on your skin. However you can’t recognize yourself. Your eyes seem hollow to you, in a way you have never seen them before. Was the fear of dying already sucking the life out of you? You looked sick and tired, but you really couldn’t beat yourself up for it. This paranoia of someone just hiding here in this room with you was choking you. You know that no-one is, but you also thought that yesterday.
Even after sleeping almost the whole day, you felt exhausted. You didn’t have appetite for anything, asking yourself if eating was truly necessary if you maybe be gone soon. Your mind was only filled with the person you saw yesterday or as you thought you did. The more you thought about it, the more it seems to become just a fragment of your imagination. Those vibrant eyes started to shift into nothing and you really do wonder if you were just dreaming.
You were going insane, there was nothing else to say, but Hyunjin of course thought the opposite. He held your quivering body, speaking so softly into your ear and you finally felt calm at that moment for the first time. No whispers, no pain, just him. You need him and that is another thing that scares you. You don’t want to become undetachable from him, but you are already in the deep end — you won’t get out of it.
You trace over the skin of your wrist, pushing lightly into your pulse. Your skin is too thick and soft for his thin and coarse one. Your lips almost quiver, tongue vibrating just from the memory of his taste. You feel your heart jump under your fingers, checking if you didn’t turn into one of them. Your nights were starting to become the part of the day when you felt the most comfortable, maybe because it meant he would be there also — like in every corner of your mind.
You hear a knock on the door of the bedroom, however the sound almost sounded dull to your ears. Your eyes jump to your own reflection in the mirror you stood before, hands gripping tightly at the fabric of your dress. “May I come in?” Echoes around you, eyes staring at the still closed door through the mirror.
You clutch the dress tighter over your chest, feeling the cold air kissing the skin of your back. You wonder silently how much time you spend here just staring at yourself half dressed. A silence falls right after those words and you quickly go back and forth between if you should let him in and see you like this. No one ever did and will someone ever? See you in your most vulnerable — your skin, unsupported and naked for his eyes.
The taste of his blood comes back to you. How you acted while it still stained your lips…you do not feel ashamed about it. Maybe something in his blood made you act like that, but you can’t hide the fact that it was just mostly him. You can’t even imagine how it must feel like if the roles were reversed. Even being human — nothing ever felt so good…“Come in.” You whisper, shocking yourself with your boldness, but simply you can’t hold on any longer. Time is your enemy at the moment as well as your sanity.
You watch the door to the bedroom open, momentarily mesmerized by how you can’t see him entering. The door only opened halfway, no one being seen entering, but you can feel the air shifting. You can feel his stare right on your naked back and you almost shiver as the door closes slowly.
A heavy, thick blanket of silence falls over you. Your fingers twitched around the fabric in your hands, pushing it against your chest a little tighter. The sounds of the floor gives him away and with your eyes wide open you swear that you see the wood bending under his weight. You do not turn around however. Maybe because you are too scared to do so, your boldness disappearing into thin air as he comes closer to you. Your eyes close, even if you can’t see him in the first place, it was mostly just not to see yourself. How the tops of your soft breasts spill over the dark maroon fabric and your fingers, how you can just feel the rolls of skin on your back sticking out.
Momentarily you whisper a prayer, for what you don’t even know yourself. You feel him, how he stops right behind you, the soft puffs of air tickling the back of your neck. You feel his fingers at that delicate skin, playing with your soft hairs. Your hair was pulled to the side and the naked side is quickly warmed up by his breath.
He can feel your goosebumps, your every breath that passed through your bitten lips. His eyes trail over you, taking in the sight of your naked skin. Hyunjin can’t help it, but he knows you basically gave him your permission the moment you let him in. His fingers graze the side of your neck, stilling just for a second to be sure you want him to touch you. You almost didn’t even blink, staring into your own eyes, knowing you could basically feel his stare in them through the mirror. Only reaction you gave him was a sigh as if you have been waiting for him to do that.
He travels lower, pressing just a little harder against the prominent vein in your neck, before his fingers dance over your shoulder, stopping at your back. He couldn’t believe that he is being able to touch you like this, losing himself very quickly in your plush skin. It appeared so radiant next to his, but he could see the small changes. How you appeared drained of color, of life. Hyunjin even if he eagerly caressed the dip of your lower back, wonders where exactly this change of behavior appeared in you.
If he could, he would shiver, when he presses his palm on the middle of your back. Your eyes droop slightly at the feeling. He was being so delicate with you still and that maybe wasn’t exactly what you truly desired, but deep down it was what you truly needed. To be held and touched softly by the only man your heart seems to know. You always wondered what it felt like to be truly desired and maybe it is right before you. You knew what it meant to be bigger in size, but you did after a while realized that even if you are bigger, smaller, it doesn’t matter — everyone deserves to be desired and loved.
“You slept the whole day.” Hyunjin says, extending his hand, his fingers almost galloping your whole back.
You close your eyes again, breathing heavily from his touch. You silently asked yourself why you didn’t let him touch you more like this. His fingers dipping into you made you shake in excitement. Maybe you are bit exaggerating, but with him all of these things seemed more heightened. You hope that he isn’t repulsed by this sight, but you can tell by his touch that it was quite the opposite. His whole hand travels up to your shoulder blade, fingers squeezing at your skin and by it you wake up your your trance.
“Tired…” You mumble back, not really thinking about making up a better answer than that. It was simple, yet truthful. As your own hands leave you momentarily to fix up the front of the dress, you see them shaking. You are truly just a frigid little girl after all, how could you even think of being confidently in yourself like that before a man like him. Your face scrunches up for a split second at your own hurtful words and when your head falls down to possibly hide, Hyunjin only pulls you closer to his side. He turns you around softly to look at him, but your eyes remain on the cold wooden floor. “Will you help me?” You ask him, ruffling the fabric of the dress. Though you need more help than just with dressing up.
For his answer his other hand finds your body, unnecessarily dragging his fingers down your back to get to the strings of the corset, blunt nails kissing your skin. You jump forward a little as his subtle touch tickles, but also sets fire all together. You turn back around again at that, glancing at yourself in the mirror for a moment. You feel him breathing down on your neck, but still you can’t see him. You feel him pull the dress tighter, fingers subtly dancing across your skin as he goes to tighten the corset.
You wish to see him now as you carefully put your breast into the front of your dress, still being careful enough so nothing is visible. He is helping you dress up, but both of you kind of wished for the opposite. However you were too shy and nervous and he on the other hand knows that he wouldn’t be able to control himself. “I’m not looking, don’t worry.” He says, voice low and so close to your ear, you had to fight back another shiver.
You do not know if it is the corset or him, but you are fighting for air. “What if I want you to…” You whisper to yourself, mind too occupied by the memory of him from yesterday to even realize what you just said. You blankly stare at yourself, reminiscing how it felt to have your lips on — in his skin.
Hyunjin’s movements stop however at your statement. He had tied your dress just as those words left your mouth. It seems like you didn’t actually want him to hear them, but he can’t possibly ignore them. His fingers twitch, hovering over your waist. Hyunjin is completely aware of the way your eyes glaze over and he wonders if some of his blood still had some sort of hold on you.
He looks into your blown out pupils and then at your lips. The sight of his blood coating them will haunt his mind forever as well as also your sweet arousal staining the tip of his tongue. You smelled so delicious and so raw that he could taste it. His hand falls to the dip of your now covered waist. A sweet whisper of your name falls from his lips, but that sound seems to only echo around you. You look back from your own neck where you feel his cold breath to your eyes and you swear that you could see his reflecting in them.
You literally can let him right now, both of you knew that the thick tension hanging in the air will eventually break. But something’s still holding you back. You wish to have time to think about your every small move, but also if you won’t let go, you maybe will never have a chance of finally feeling his lips on yours. Why is it so hard to let him have you when it is everything you ever wanted?
You feel his hand even under the layers of clothing, not to mention his breaths ticking your neck. They were mostly intakes — intakes of your scent and you hope he doesn’t smell your troubled heart. But knowing him, he already has it memorized. You do not turn around, even if he keeps pushing you gently to glance at him. Your eyes however flicker to the glimmering plastic at the vanity next to you.
You turn to the side, looking at the pack of your unfinished cigarettes. You haven’t touched them in so long, maybe you are just in a need of one good cigarette to ease your worries. However you can’t find your appetite. Your finger traces over the graphic picture at the front of the packaging. You always didn’t put much mind into them, but now you wonder if you will end up in a worse state than a lung cancer. A hand comes from behind you, tall body hovering over yours for the hand to only fall on yours.
You are mesmerized by the size of his hand. Beautiful rings glimmer at you, but the sight of his wrist is the only thing that has your attention. It’s so interesting — there is no trace of your bite. His blood is cure yet a curse. “Did I hurt you?” You say, wondering if creatures like him can even feel such emotion.
“No, you can’t possibly.” Hyunjin he wants to say that it felt better than anything else. He can’t get it out of his head — your lips on his skin, sucking, teeth nibbling at his flesh. It should hurt, but to him it was sheer pleasure. He now fully understands how feeding from someone could be intimate…you showed him. He wishes that he could too, but when he remembers how close you were at biting at his pulse, he just can’t imagine how hard it would be for him to pull away. Maybe yesterday effect you a little too much. From your dream to him letting you drink from him. He can’t help, but think he did wrong. He wanted to make you feel better and it did in some way, but both of you can’t ignore the problem before you. Was he too much? He should’ve said what his blood does to human body, but why would he ruin the surprise?
Hyunjin is slowly overthinking just as much as you right now. He wants to be careful and caring, but being what he is, the natural urges in him win every time. Almost, now he softly touches your skin, his worries winning him over. You both know that your time together maybe be short, but also, someway you both cherish it. He wants to say that this is all of his fault. “Did I do something to hurt you?” He asks you, body touching yours. His heart aches at how cold you are, he wants to warm you up, but how?
“No…” You shake your head, tilting it to the side to look up at him finally. “You can’t possibly.” Your eyes go back and forth between his, never getting enough of his beauty.
He thinks the same about you. Even if there is obvious exhaustion in your features, your eyes held the same light as they always do. Time is a horrible thing — it makes people age, nature die, but at the end it all will blossom again. He knows that if the day comes, his whole world would be set on fire. Without you, he will never be able to exist again…nobody can save him, but you. “You are beautiful…” His face hides his emotions that are slowly eating him alive, just to revish this moment with you. Your lips lift up softly and he has to mirror it. “I have a small gift for you.” He says, his other hand finding your back again.
You suck in a sharp breath, too caught up at the feeling of his hand slowly coming to rest at the back of your neck. “A gift?” You repeat and he can tell that you are not too pleased, simply because you think that no one should be gifting you so many things. Though you are curious, watching how the hand on yours leaves you just to pull at the curtains next to you.
“Look out.” He says, pulling the fabric away, making the light of the setting sun hit your face, his body moving away slightly.
You have to squint a little, because the room is a little too dark and you feel how your skin immediately tingles by the warm light of the sun. When your eyes adjust, falling down to look below you, a gasp leaves your lips. “H-how…did you?” You are left speechless for a second, glancing at him and back at the garden. The rose bushes once red were now mostly white, eyes running over the few statures decorating the outside and you are taken by how the few red roses remained peaking out of the new ones. They are new, you only remember red ones being there and you quickly realized that he did it, just because you once said you liked them. “Oh, it’s beautiful, but why would you?”
He hears your heart skip a beat the moment you look back at him. His vibrant eyes shined in the darkness while yours are bathed in the sunlight. “Your opinions matter to me.” There’s a small pull at your eyebrows. “And I thought that a little lighter color would suit this place.” You only gaze up at him and his heart swells when he sees the tears gathering in your eyes. He hopes that he is not the cause of your pain, but the raw emotion in your eyes told him that it wasn’t pain at all — sadness and longing. Why can’t it be different? He doesn’t want to see tears in your eyes, he only wants to see you smile and laugh. Hyunjin is trying hard not to think of the future, just like you, but it is eating you both alive.
Yesterday — seeing you so exhausted and weak, made him almost break. He is getting the feeling that maybe the things that you saw should not be taken too lightly. He knows the secrets of the world, dark secrets. You looked like you weren’t even there, your soul far away and out of reach before he touched you. Maybe it really is just the fear and exhaustion playing their tricks, but the more he thought about it, the more the idea of something lingering around you became real. The dream that’s what he wants you to think, left you is a state of unconsciousness. He doesn’t see the typical light in your eyes anymore and the way you suddenly let him touch you like this…he wishes for you to not to, because it almost didn’t feel genuine. “Y/N…” His hand on your neck travels to your face, your cheeks hot to the touch.
You let him touch you, because you don’t want to think about if you didn’t. You want to know what it is like to be held in the arms of a man who would let the world burn for you. You wonder if this is all just an illusion. Was there really a bond between you two? What if he is just playing with you? None of these things that are happening can be real, right? What if this is just another dream? Like you had yesterday or maybe everything that is happening is just in your head. A vampire…you look into his eyes that flicker for just a second to the color of amber. You have to look away, shivering from just the memory.
“Let me ask you something…” The man before you listens closely, letting you move away from him simply because you stepped into the light. “Are you attracted to me just because of the bond?” This question has been swirling in your mind for quite some time. Maybe it’s stupid in some way, but you just can’t get over the fact that this is perhaps all happening by a string of feeling you can’t even see. You can’t lie that there aren’t any feelings from your side, but you have to wonder if he is feeling the same way.
His lips are parted, looking lost in thought. He is left speechless by such question. How could you think that? “Why do you think I’m only attracted to the bond?” His hand leaves the curtain, making darkness fall over you. “Y/N, the bond is only leading the way to you, it doesn’t have any influence on how I should feel about you.” He stalks closer to you again and you are left with no choice, but to press your back against the vanity.
You sigh out, feeling really stupid about even thinking such question. Your overthinking is eating you alive. Why can’t you just let yourself feel freely, you always think that things will turn for the worst. In this case of scenario — yes, though not at this very moment. Hyunjin is slipping under the gates of protection you build over your heart and you are at the moment not strong enough to do anything about it. He is so beautiful — long, dark hair, blue eyes laced with red that keep reminding you of what he truly is, lips bitten, skin like alabaster, peaking from the collar of his loose white shirt.
You don’t move away from him, letting him press you against the vanity with a hand on your waist. His body towers over yours, remembering how he already did this to you so many times and each one is more intense than the other. And different — this time it’s gentle, like the hand caressing your skin. His fingers hook under your jaw, thumb going over the side of your lips, making you part them. How can you be so foolish? He is looking at you like you hang the moon, touching you like you were a fragile piece of glass. Even if there were times where his hold was stronger, you could always taste the gentleness on your tongue.
Your hand, stabilizing your weight on the vanity, pushes the pack of cigarettes away. There are just way more tasteful things on your mind right now. Hyunjin breath fans across your lips, but he doesn’t move closer. You remember suddenly when he told that he doesn’t know if he can’t be selfish enough to have a taste, but you were. You already tasted him then why shouldn’t he? Like he could read your mind, his head tilts to the side to press his lips against the corner of your lips. You immediately gasp in shock, the touch so subtle and quick for you to fully take in, but your lips basically tingle at how close he was to you.
Your eyes are wide, staring into nothing in a complete shock. He pulls away from you too quickly, only to press his lips on your jaw next. “Why?” He asks, plump lips cold on your burning skin. “Why would you think that?” You don’t, right now you are way too busy to do so. His lips only trail over you, not pressing hard enough for his spit that is gathering in his mouth to coat you.
You breathe harder when he presses his lips lower, before they stop at where your jaw meets your neck. You feel your insides rumbling when he lets out a low hum that vibrates all the way to your ear. You didn’t even know that you are sensitive there. His nose hits your earring, the jewelry jiggling. He is waiting, just to see if he can go further and when you don’t do anything other than breathe a little harder his lips then press against the pulse in your neck. He has to inhale deeply, his hand on your waist tightening from your scent. He can feel the blood running through your veins. He is already so close to it, but he knows he can’t — not right now.
A fog falls over your mind, feeling him pull away just a little to finally kiss your neck. A sigh falls form your lips, heart hammering against your chest. No one ever other than him kissed you there and the unknown territory is somehow mind shattering. Hyunjin doesn’t stop after the first kiss, he only does it again and rougher, like he wanted to get under your skin. Your hand fists his shirt, unconsciously tilting your head to give him more room or maybe it was his hand tugging at your hair. The smacks of his lips ring in your ears, his lips mouthing at the sensitive spot behind your ear. Hyunjin is a little overwhelmed by the taste of your sweet and natural scent to realize you are starting to almost hyperventilate, but just as his lips wrap around you, sucking gently, you break into his thoughts with a loud gasp.
“I-I have never…” You shut your mouth immediately, eyes closing. You feel him pull away from you, but you are too embarrassed to look at him.
If you did, you would see a look of small knowing with a little shock. He doesn’t want to say that he knows, but the way you always react to his touch and most importantly the scent of your untouched skin and blood already told him the truth a long time ago. He doesn’t want you to think, it’s a bad thing. “It’s alright…I will not do anything you don’t want me to.” Hyunjin licks his lips, bitting down on his bottom lip till his skin breaks.
You sigh, eyes opening to look at his heaving chest. “It’s not like I don’t…want to—“ You look up at him slowly, embarrassment shining on your face. “I’m just scared I guess…”
“That you won’t like it?”
“That I will like it a little too much…”
When he gets a whiff of your arousal he almost doubles over. Yesterday — when he had you under him, it was a little different than now. Seeing you feel the same without his blood in your system — he really wonders how much more he can take further, before he decides to have you. He wonders if you know that he can smell you, maybe you are just ignoring that fact, maybe you are trying to see what he will do. And oh, how much he wants to do to you, but he has to remind himself that not now. Not when you are looking like this, he wants to have you when he is sure he will be the only thing on your mind.
The boldness in your words sometimes really does surprise you, but you can’t ignore the small tremble in your legs. You watch him take a step back and you are for a second thinking that it was because of your words, but looking closely you realize why. His head is tilted back a little and you can see his ear twitching, listening, your own too, but weak to hear anything other than your pulse. “Whats wrong?” You ask him, pushing away from the vanity a little.
Sighing, he shakes his head, giving you a small look. It’s intense however, like always and you can’t miss the flash of red in them. “The others are calling us, there are some things we should discuss.” The tone in his voice told you that it is an important matter and you are again reminded about your current situation.
────
The other residents of the house could see it. Not just your weaken state, but also those thoughts running through your head. Their faces were holding empathy for you and you somehow wish they didn’t. They only made you fear more for what is about to come and something is telling you that they knew something you don’t. You try to think about anything else at the moment, rolling your tongue in your mouth, the tangy taste of the wine still on your tastebuds. It was quiet, not too uncomfortable, but everyone waited for someone to say something. The tension was known and you for a split second flew away from it to dig in to your own thoughts.
Your eyes fall onto Hyunjin, sitting right next to you. He sat closely, chewing at his food and it look like that today it certainly didn’t come to his appeal. Your attention is on his lips and just at the sight your skin tingles. You appreciate his presence way more than you ever thought you would. Such a short amount of a time…yet you got so close. The idea of being his and him being yours, started to form into something real and it scared you so much. The plumpness wrapped around the glass filled with red wine was just moments ago on your skin. You still have to be careful about expressing your feelings, because for once you are afraid of them as much as you are afraid of how much more hightened he can feel them. With every subtle move, frown and pull at your lips, he could read you like a book.
Hyunjin looks up from the table at you, finding you already looking at him — well, more through him. He hates when you think so much. He realizes quickly that your eyes are fixed on a particular part of him and he can’t help it, but look at yours too. Stained red and pulled into your mouth from how much you are chewing on them. The sudden shift in his vision makes him glance at the blonde sitting across from him who only gives him a sort of a knowing look.
Jeongin doesn’t tease his brother, a little lost in thought as well, like the whole table to be honest. It’s hard not to eavesdrop with their heightened senses, but they do try to give you two privacy you deserve. However he can’t lie that he didn’t overhear your conversation when he passed by the corridor leading to Hyunjin’s bedroom. One thing that he has to say is that he never heard his brother speak so gently, yet with a desperate tone for a someone’s whole being. He wonders himself what it feels like, but he knows that it must hurt with all of these things happening around you. Even if they all didn’t have the time to get to know you better, because they wanted you to spend it with their brother, they could see how much honest and kind person you were. That makes this situation way more painful.
He watches how Hyunjin opens his mouth, breaking the God awful silence and finally starting the conversation that was meant to happen. “Do we have any new information?” He wants to sound nonchalant, like the answer wouldn’t be the most important thing for him. He already knows the answer, because he has been the one that kept searching for one.
“No, no new trace of the attacker nor a response.” Said Chan, already done eating, playing with the empty glass in his hand. You are not so surprised by that information, because you just knew that if anything would happen Hyunjin would tell you. Or would he? You glance at him briefly, before going back to the man at the head of the table. “But we want you to know that the ball will be in two days.”
You are lost for words for a second, looking into his eyes in disbelief. So that’s the important thing that you had to know. You had to know that maybe in two days everyone, everything around you could disappear. “Two days?” You murmur, looking down at the food on your plate. Nausea is what you feel the most at the moment. The back of your throat is closing your airways, swallowing in complete fear.
Why didn’t he say anything sooner? You can’t say that you would be able to do anything about it, it’s just that you might have spend your time left a little differently. With him and completely differently you want to say. What if you didn’t pull away from him the moment he kissed your neck? What would happened if you didn’t stop him? Your fear of unknown is becoming so small compared to this one. You are afraid that you might not feel the things you wished for. Why are you such a crybaby? Are you? Or is it just a normal human reaction? There is still hope you want to say. Though the only thing you hoped for is that if you really would die, you hoped that he wouldn’t do anything stupid to prevent it. Do you care about him more than yourself right now?
Did he feel the same way about you? You glance back at him, already finding him looking at you. It’s so strange to think that somebody can feel like that about you. Can you ignore it any longer? The walls around you start to crack from the moment he found you yesterday. He was like a bright, shining light in the darkness…the darkness. You can’t remember what exactly happened the night before, it almost feels like it didn’t happen at all. It couldn’t be just a dream, it felt too real or maybe you were really just paranoid.
The man at the end of the table, the one with the sandy blonde hair and the one you already get to know a little, could tell by your eyes that you were hiding something. “Did something happen?” Minho asks you, curious and the whole table turns to look at you at that.
You feel their stares, but yours is only on his. You are a little puzzled, because with his eyes, he is telling you that he didn’t say anything about your dream. You shake your head, memories of yesterday so vivid, your head is starting to hurt from how much you are trying to remember. You only see the small flash of those eyes that you feel on your back everyday and every night. “I don’t know…I think, I saw someone.” Something, the sinister feeling is stronger with every flash of those eyes.
When you look up at the man who spoke up, you see them in his for a split second, mind already playing tricks on you. They vanish quickly, your fragment of imagination too weak, just like your muscles straining in your neck when you turn to look at the leader. “When?” He asks you, face hard and you can tell that he is taking this whole new information way too seriously. It was just a dream after all…
You lick your chapped lips, eyes going back and forth between all of them. “Yesterday—“ They straighten their backs and you instantly shake your head, looking back at the man next to you who moves just a little closer to you. “I was only sleepwalking, I think…it was just a nightmare—“ You are trying to sound like you are the one stating the truth, trying to let them see that it was nothing, but just a small dream. Yet the more you look into his ocean blue eyes, the more you sound like you trying to convince yourself.
The last word dies at the tip of your tongue, when his eyes turned darker blue. “Who did you see, Y/N?” Hyunjin’s voice is low, eyes glaring like he was looking at the said person — the creature that is haunting you.
You are quiet for a moment and you swallow hard at the thought that maybe, just maybe the things what you have seen are not to be taken lightly. Your mount is dry from the wine and also the thoughts running through your head. You can only remember the small strings of emotions the dream made you feel and those… “I didn’t see a face, only the eyes…” Your voice is quiet, the only sound in the room being your strained voice and the cracking of fire food for a moment. “It felt like it was luring me somewhere, it felt like my body wasn’t my own anymore. Firstly it showed me something terrible, but then I could only hear voices whispering to me. I couldn’t feel anything…I felt nothing. The only thing I can vaguely remember are those eyes — intense, the color of amber.” When the words left your lips the sight of said eyes seem to fade more and more in the fire.
There are small looks shared across the table, but your eyes travel to the long haired blonde, his usually soft looking face holding nothing, but a hard frown. “They say that eyes are windows to the soul.” He says, words coming from his heart-shaped lips slowly and with a meaning. “Do you think you would be able to recognize this person?”
“I don’t know, I don’t even think it was a person…” The thing you saw felt like a demon, evil staring right back at you. It didn’t have a face, there was only the mass of darkness creating an illusion of a figure. Your mind is your biggest enemy, but it did feel like it didn’t came from your own. You couldn’t make yourself feel such awful things, you mind wasn’t under your own control. Now you remember how much it hurt to be controlled, making you feel what they want you to feel and do what they want with you. “I felt terrible—“ You breathe out, face scrunching up. You only remember how you felt, but is becoming so overwhelming that you have to look away — back at him. Hyunjin’s is looking at you like yesterday and you can tell that’s what he is thinking about as well. “But then you found me…after that the dream started to fade away and now I can’t even remember exactly what I saw. I’m slowly starting to see less and less.”
“I remember what you looked like —“ Hyunjin says, taking a small breaths between, because he can perfectly remember how he find you. “You were drained of life, completely unconscious.”
“It was just a dream.” You try to object, but why are his words feeling like the truth. You remember how exhausted you were, laying there in his arms. You thought it was manly because of everything that is happening. However you realize how quickly your mood has changed, how much it was different from how you were behaving few days ago.
“Y/N.” At the sound of your name, you turn to the owner of the voice, to the dark haired man whose usual teasing and almost annoying personality has turned into nothing but concern. “Was it leading you somewhere?”
You blink at Seungmin’s question, not missing a beat with your answer. “Yes…the dungeons.” Your head tilts to Hyunjin, looking carefully at him. “But you were already there — why?”
You are met with no answer, not even a sliver of a difference in his expression. The voices around the room too loud to be considered whispers. “Why would it lead you there?” Minho wonders out loud.
You watch them talk over each other, too quickly to let you catch any words, but it was clear to you. “Are you…are you thinking that what I saw was real?” Your voice is quiet, but your question is strong enough to make them silent again.
“Not specifically.” Chan shakes his head. “Maybe someone is trying to get inside your head.”
Your mouth open, but nothing comes out when the man with puffy cheeks continues. “There are still few of them left, not a lot, but we do know where they are—“
“Witches want nothing to do with us anymore.” Says Felix. “Most are not even that powerful to corrupt someone’s mind like that.”
“If the person’s mind is in a vulnerable state…I think, they can.”
The statement is obviously meant for you and you have nothing to say to disagree with what the man in the middle said. Witches…you are still trying to get used to the existence of these creatures. You are confused by their idea, but they seem to know more than you. The only thing that is becoming clear to you is that maybe your mind really isn’t doing this to you — maybe, you are only being manipulated to feel like this. “You think a witch is doing this to me? For what?” No one knows your enemy, it literally could be anyone and that scares you.
“It is only an idea.” Hyunjin speaks your thoughts out, his hand on the table so close to yours, but you do not feel the subtle touch, only the lingering glare he gives you. “How else could someone do those things to you?” You have no answer…
“What if somebody is only hiding behind a witch?” Wonders Seungmin.
“Don’t be absurd—“ Disagrees the sandy blonde, a small frown on his face. “A witch wouldn’t side with a vampire and definitely not a werewolf.”
“We shouldn’t jump into things, we know so little. The only thing important is keeping you safe.” Chan’s words hit you a little too hard. You know that they have the best intentions, but you can’t stop thinking about the last sentence.
“It already had me twice and in my sleep.” Your smile doesn’t reach your eyes. You hope they see how much you appreciate their concern and help, but is there really any salvation for you? “There’s nothing for you to do…just promise me to keep my family safe, that’s all I care about.”
“Y/N…” Minho sighs out, the small specks of unshed tears in your eyes tug at his heart. “You are one of us and we won’t let anything happen to you—“
“Even if it means it would end you too?”
There’s no answer. You hate your emotions taking over you, but the thought of him — them sacrificing themselves for you. They promised they would keep you safe, but everyone knew that whatever is happening is too powerful for them to even catch a glimpse of. It only wants you and that’s also how it is supposed to be. You won’t let any of them do something stupid just to keep you safe — Hyunjin. If he would do something then the others would do and that’s what it wants. You can’t let it win…
Your words are harsh, you are aware, but it had to be said. You need to make them see that they shouldn’t get into danger just because of you. You known them for such short amount of time and even if they did grow on you and even if you grow on them too, there’s nothing that should make them sacrifice themselves. It would be mostly for him, for the man who is looking at you so intensely you feel the need to leave. He can’t let himself fall to his doom for a woman like you.
Your breathing becomes heavy, emotions on the highest level. Your throat is closing on you, choking you. You stand up abruptly, ignoring the stares on the back of your head when you storm out of the room. The sound of chair scraping against the ground and heavy footsteps are heard, but you don’t turn around. You are embarrassed by being so emotional, but the thought of them doing anything to prevent your possible future is horrifying. They can’t hazard with their position. With everything they build, their undead lives — if you would be able to convince him to let you go if necessary, you can prevent it. How much more do they truly feel when it is so obvious that every single one of them would stand before you?
You wish that they wouldn’t, it’s your problem, it’s you, not them, not even him. You don’t want to see him hurt, gone…He has to go on without you, he can’t die just because it would mean that you two might be together again. You can’t fight the emotion, the one you are most scared of letting out. The sound of your name echoing around you makes you pick up speed, tears gathering in your eyes from how much more desperate his tone gets, the more you grew distance between you two. He can catch up with you, but he chooses to follow you in hopes you would turn around yourself.
“Just a moment…” He hears you say over his loud voice, repeating those words again and again. He can’t let you go. He wants you to let him hold you in his arms, just a little longer. Forget about the future, he doesn’t want you to think, he wants you to stop and be with him for the rest of the time you have left. No, it’s supposed to forever.
He stops the door to his bedroom, before it can slam shut — the future is supposed to bright. You are supposed to happy, full of smiles, not like this. Not looking so defeated. There is still time, a little, but there is. He will fight for much more. The people that once took his, left him stuck in a state that he is in, are not supposed to be the ones deciding how yours will end. He hates them, every single of them…
He wraps his hand around your upper arm and even you are fighting against him, he doesn’t let go of you. It hurts a little, but not as much as looking into his sorrow filed eyes. “Please — I just need a moment to think.” You are shuttering over your words, tasting the few tears that you still have left in you. You are not even strong enough to cry, only gasping for air.
Hyunjin turns you fully around, each one his hand around you, caging you. Letting him, you quickly regret your reaction just by a look into his eyes. “No.” One word is strong enough to make you crumble, watching his eyes flickering red, only because his hold over his true form is fading away.
Why can’t you just accept it and let yourself enjoy him? But you know it would only hurt more, it would hurt more letting go. Of your friend Mia, everyone, you want to lock yourself away and just wait in hopes it would hurt less. You are such a pessimist, you always were. You always thought about how long it would take for the nice things in your life to disappear and were you wrong? The best one is right in front of you, holding you, maybe you are sabotaging yourself, but you need him to promise you one thing. That he won’t try to safe you… “I can’t do this anymore…I’m so scared and I’m so pathetic, I can’t do anything—“ You suck in breath, a small sob leaving you. Why can’t you be stronger? You need to be, but something is making you feel so weak…so far from your own hold over your body.
Your face is held in his hands, palms so cold, but burning. Hyunjin face is hard, he doesn’t want you to see him crumble too, he needs to be the strong. The sight of your tears is hurting him, he can feel your pain and suffering. “You can do anything, everything, I know it, Y/N—“
A small noise leaves the back of the throat at his sincere tone, but the thing that breaks you the most is when he pulls you to his chest and you don’t even know that he does it so you won’t see his face. Your head falls against his chest, the cries of pain dying the moment he wraps his arms around you. It’s so warm, you didn’t even realize before how much you needed him close to you like this. His thumb makes circles on your back, fingers just barely dipping into your corset. His chin falls on the top of your head, taking deep breaths with you, teaching you like you were a baby taking its first breath.
You let him hold your body and your heart for a moment. It felt too good to pull away, he made your mind quiet just by his touch. Your face is pressed against his chest. You can smell his cologne, the scent of his skin right under your nose, but you cannot hear a beating heart. Even if it can’t beat again, it’s not dead — not when he has you in his arms. He lets you move just a little to let you look up at him. “Promise me that you won’t try to stop it.” You plea, fingers scrunching up the material of his shirt. “Please, promise me that you won’t try to safe me if it happens—“
Your voice is not filled with sadness, only expectance now. You are not so afraid anymore all of sudden. Did a simple hug really helped you get over it? Can you finally let yourself be happy with him? The last tear in your eye rolls down your cheek slowly. It glimmer in the moonlight that peaked out of the closed curtains. Hyunjin looks over your features, puffy lips and eyes, your red nose and then at the last tear running down your face. His eyes, aware of those veins pumping underneath his eyelashes, follow the tear, before he leans closer to catch it with a kiss.
His kiss is harder, more meaningful than those you shared before. Hyunjin trails his lips over your face, leaving nothing, but adoration behind. You close eyes to savor this moment, counting each kiss — on your tear stained cheeks, eyelids, tickling you a little, furrowed eyebrows that fall down with his touch. “Hyunjin…” You call out to him, sighing when he moves lower, to your neck like the last time.
“Don’t, don’t think for a moment—“ It’s a plea, words bouncing off your skin. “I want you to only feel…” Goosebumps appear on your body from his whisper. Hyunjin trails wet kisses on your jaw to your neck and you for a second wonder if he is thinking the same thing.
You yourself can feel your pulse jumping, when his lips hover over it. You fall into his arms that only pull you closer, lips wrapping around your neck. You gasp sharply, grasping him by his hair, but you do not move him away from you. Both of you know the risk of him being so close to the source of your blood, but none of you stop. The way he breaths you in makes shivers go down your spine, shaking at how good it feels to have him like this. His lips are parted, sucking your skin in his mouth and the way you can feel his back muscles contract under your hand is telling you that he is using his whole might not to bite down a little harder. Hyunjin only lets his sharp teeth graze you and when a whimper falls out of your mouth he moves away.
Just a little, because he doesn’t want to let go of you that soon. The spot where his lips were on burn a little, feeling the pressure pulling at the delicate skin. You are wordless like him when he looks down at the purple spots forming on your neck. His eyes travel back to yours, now glassy from pleasure while his are wild and bloodied. You are not scared anymore and to be honest with yourself the thought of a creature like him taking over you didn’t sound to bad to you right now. “Drink from me again.” He rasps out, grasping your hand and putting it on his chest.
Gasps of air are shared when he with your hand tears the front of his shirt, too impatient to take his time to unbutton it. The tearing sound is loud, like the buttons hitting the floor, but that is not important. Your wide eyes eat up the sight of his revealed chest, hard in muscles and completely unblemished. Pure liquid fire pumps in your veins as he puts your palm on his chest. Hyunjin is breathing harder than ever by your touch, the subtle scrape of your nails on his skin creating red, long scratches that fade way quicker than he would like too, though it makes him groan, the sound making you tremble.
You don’t even ask if it’s alright with him to taste him again, because it feels like the only right thing to do at this moment. His hand covering yours, pushes away his shirt, falling from his left shoulder and you become bashful by the sight of him. His hand stops right over his nonbeating heart, before he pierces his skin with his nail. The red liquid flows down his chest, smearing over your hands and you are highly aware by how the sight of blood is making you feel something completely different from those other times.
His other hand runs through your hair, nails scraping your skull like yours his wound, opening it deeper. Your mouth falls open, looking at his vampire face and crazy eyes. Hyunjin pushes your head closer to him and you let him, pulling both of yours hands away from the fresh wound, only to be covered by your lips instead . You both are so vulnerable at the moment, the raw feeling from just your lips on each other’s skin is enough to make you mad.
Your tongue goes over the cut, hearing him moan and that makes you sigh out in pleasure as well. You run your muscle quickly over his skin, kissing hungrily like he did to your neck, before pushing into him. Hyunjin is overwhelmed by the feeling of your teeth in him, the sound of your soft sucking is enough to make him hard. It feels even better that it did yesterday and he thought that was impossible. Maybe it is the way you are not so shy about it anymore, maybe it is your quiet sounds of pleasure mixing with his — maybe it’s the intense and intoxicating smell of your arousal coming from between your legs.
Your head feels fuzzy, delirious. The taste of his blood is so addictive and it feels so good going down your throats throat. Your mind is empty again, the only thing left is him. How his fingers tug at your hair, how he sounds — so pretty and raw. You just have to look at him, catching his droopy eyes. His lips are glistening in the soft light of the room, hand traveling to yours to press it against his hard abdomen. “Don’t stop.” It comes out as rasp and you at his words pierce his skin just a little harder.
You close your eyes, mind swirling. From the taste of his blood and skin to the feeling of his muscles ripping under your hands — it’s so euphoric. You lose yourself and he does too, watching you take him so well. You look so beautiful right now, groaning in delight. You are so close to him, yet he wants just a little more. Hyunjin pushes his leg that is perfectly trapped in between your thighs just a little higher. He swears he can feel you dripping, soaking him just with the small graze of his thigh against your center. You are not even realizing your movements, unconsciously rolling your hips down on his leg to relief yourself. Hyunjin hisses at your move, grabbing handful of your hair to pull you away from his chest.
The moment your head rolls back by his move you stop moving, gasping in small embarrassment, but he is too gone. Your lips are stained with his blood, smeared over your chin and some of it rolling down your neck. He sees you trying to make an apology, but why would you apologize for such thing. He doesn’t let you, because with his hand in your hair and the other on your waist he backs you into the bed. Your eyes are wide, legs too weak to object and move away. You are now just a puppet.
The vampire’s eyes shine in the darkness, like a predator. When he swiftly turns you around so he is the one falling into the bed, he lets you take a breath. Your hands find his shoulders and even if you are a little dizzy there’s the small face of bashfulness on your face. You say his name in gasp, standing between his legs. “Let me make you feel good, Y/N.” Your lips are wide apart and something is telling you that he probably already made up the answer for you.
His hands push up the skirt of your dress to your hips and he has to moan at your smell and the sight of your plush legs. Hyunjin lets you make a decision and when there is no hint of discomfort on your face, he just pushes you down to straddle his thigh. Small whimper falls from you the moment you are on his leg, hands digging into his shoulders. Your eyes close and open, legs just a little supporting your weight and he definitely doesn’t like that. “Sit down—“ It’s a command and you don’t object, looking over his face.
The air around you is thick and hot. You watch each other for a second, enjoying the position way more than you both would like to admit. The first roll of your hips is made by him. With a hand on your waist he pushes you back and forth slowly, letting you feel the pleasure by the touch of another. You think that you have never felt like this before, the thin material of your underwear is soaked through and you just know he can feel you over the material of his pants. You try to hide yourself, your faces of pleasure, but the hand under your chin prevents you from doing so. “Hyunjin—“ You moan, just as his thumb comes to your lips.
Your clit rubs deliciously over the muscles in his leg and the sound of his name rolling out of your tongue makes him growl. You watch each other and even if you are not doing anything to him, it almost looks like he is enjoying this even more than you do. Hyunjin already lost the battle against his mask, letting you see his demon face in the darkness of the night. His hand finds his chest, stopping right over his nipple to only pierce his skin again and now you don’t need a hand to help you lean closer.
He helps you move over him, now him being the one gasping when you immediately go and wrap your lips over his nipple. You are going harder, not just with your movements, but also with your sucks. The pleasure is so intense, him falling down a little just to give you more room to feel him. Both of your hands run hungrily over your bodies. Yours run over his chest, trying to remember every dip and muscles, while his run underneath your skirt to grasp your thighs. Your skin spills over his long fingers, rings digging into you, both the pain only make it more pleasurable for you.
It’s embarrassing how quickly you feel the heat in your lower tummy. You are so sensitive right now. Not even catching yourself bitting down at his nipple, rolling the bud in your mouth. Saliva mixed with blood rolls down his chest, right down the soft, short hairs on his stomach. You catch the small drips with your fingers and you are at that pulled away from him again. Only now you are the one being swallowed up. His mouth his hot, tongue licking over the now dried blood on your neck.
It’s too much for you to keep up with, but you don’t find yourself stopping. His hand so close to your center, fingertips just barely dipping into your juices that coat your inner thighs, is making you breathe louder. Hyunjin is sharply gasping, kissing down your throat, stopping at the middle of your breasts. The rolls of your hips are so addicting, just like your scent tickling his nose. He has to get a better look at your breasts pushing against your corset, but just the sight of your skin spilling over your cleavage, makes him lean over again and catch your jiggling skin into his mouth.
“Yes—“ He moans, hearing you whimper from his mouth on you. The hand under your skirt travels to grasp handful of your ass, pushing you harder against his leg, while the other squeeze your breast that is not covered by his mouth. He is not even kissing you anymore, just drooling and sucking and when he starts to bounce you up a little on his leg, you almost lost it. “Are you close?” Hyunjin murmurs into your skin. “I can feel you soaking me — don’t stop, Y/N…” You cry out, head rolling back by the pleasure. He pulls away yet again to watch you in your full glory, wrapping his hand around your throat to make look back into his eyes. “Don’t stop — don’t stop.” He is the one pleading, moaning with you when he hears your heart jumping in your chest. He can also feel your blood boiling under his hand and when he squeezes just a little your hips still, falling apart on his thigh.
Your moan is loud, tears of pleasure gathering in your eyes. Your legs are shaking, wrapping them around his and squeezing tightly when the first wave of pleasure crushes over you. Your eyes roll into the back of your head, fingers digging into his chest as you see completely white for a split second. Hyunjin eyes are wide, trying to take everything that you give him. His nose flares at your scent, letting you fall into his awaiting chest, helping you ride out every bits of pleasure left. He breaths heavily, taking in the sweet smell of your sweat, nose burying into your hair. “More please—“ He hears you mumble and he can’t help, but laugh shortly, but when you start to move higher on his lap, he has to stop you.
“You are drunk on my blood, love, can’t give you more—“ He wants to — so badly, but he feels like he would only take advantage of you if he does. Even if you did give him your permission, he can’t have you in a state like this. He watches you pull away from his body to look up at him and at the next words and expression, he almost really loses it.
“Bite me.”
His breathing stops at your words, shaking his head by the bold move as you pull your hair away from your neck. Your eyes glazed over, reminding him that what you are feeling right now is purely coming from his blood. He has you in a tight grip, though he still feels the subtle move of your hips, trying to get closer to him. He can’t help, but look at your neck, still glistening from his spit. It looks delicious, he can’t lie about that. The thought of drinking from you crosses his mind. With his eyes, he can see your pulse hammering against the delicate skin of your neck that is already marked by his love bites. For a split second he almost leans closer to your bare neck, but the way sway in his arms, makes him pull away from his racing thoughts. “It’s my blood, it’s an aphrodisiac.” He explains, however it falls to deaf ears.
“Huh?” You frown a little when he maneuvers you to lay down on the bed and as your back meets the soft covers you have to sigh in delight.
You are trying so hard to keep your eyes open, blinking rapidly. He runs his hand over the side of your face, before pushing the hairs on your forehead away. Your skin is hot to touch and his attention moves again to those blossoming red spots on your skin. He thinks he has taken it a little too far, but the small spots look so good on you that he can’t be mad at himself. You looked happy, in a sense that you finally look peaceful enough to let him see that you won’t overthink for while again. “Rest, my love.” He hovers over your body, before planting a small kiss to your forehead. “We still have time.
Those words are pleasure to your ears, a small subtle smile on your lips by the soft kiss he gives you. You let yourself and Hyunjin rest a little, his body falling next to you, hand clasping yours. You once again have nothing, but him on your mind and you soon realize that’s the only time when you feel at peace.

Part One | Part Two
The two days that you spent at the SKZ house, as they called it, were… interesting to say the least. You woke up on the earlier side to make sure you had enough time to get to class, and each day they were all awake, watching TV, working out, doing homework. You'd offer to make them breakfast as you made your own, but they all claimed to have eaten just after they woke up. There were no dishes in the sink, the same amount of food in the fridge. Not to mention their beds were always made up the same every morning. You'd never met college guys who were so… put together. It was throwing you off a little.
“So.” Sam smiles. “These guys you stayed with for a couple nights… any chance you're going to move on from Mark?” She asks.
You can't help it, but you roll your eyes at her question. You still weren't sure what you were going to do about him. You hadn't confronted him, fuck, tou hadn't even spoken to him since San dropped that ball on you the other day. While there was an attraction to, well, let's be honest, all of them, you technically, were still Mark's girlfriend, so the chance of you doing anything was even lower than zero. You weren't a cheater, you never understood the desire to hurt the person you're supposed to love most in this world but that's more than you can say for Mark.
“I mean, yeah they're all extremely attractive.” You laugh. “But I'm still with Mark, and until I figure out what I'm going to be doing, I won't be doing anything with them.” You murmur.
“Them!?” Sam gasps. “You wanna fuck them all.” She laughs. “I always knew you were fucking kinky.”
“Sam!” You laugh. “Jesus christ.”
The two of you laugh, finishing up your makeup, before getting dressed and heading out. Sam had wanted to get ready at the house with the boys, but with all the testosterone radiating in that house, you needed out for a few hours. Luckily for the both of you, Sam's parents were out of the evening so you had the house to yourselves.
“Come on, some shots before we go.” She says, walking into the kitchen. She grabs two shots glasses, pouring you each a shot of vodka.
“We cannot show up sober. A few shots each should do the trick.” She laughs.
You don't say anything, instead welcome the liquid burning your throat as you take shot after shot, desperately hoping for it to erase all your problems for at least one night. Once you were feeling tipsy enough, you and Sam got into your Uber, heading over to the boy's house. When you pull up, the party is already in full swing. There are people out in the front yard drinking, the front door is wide open, welcoming anyone and everyone to join.
“Wow.” Sam gasps. “This looks crazy!”
You laugh, grabbing her hand, pulling her towards the front door. The moment you stepped foot into the house, it was like all 8 of them knew you were there. Very quickly and one by one, they came up to you, giving you a hug to say hi and saying hi to Sam. By the time Minho, who was the last one to come up to you, said hi, Sam had smacked you so many times you thought you'd have a bruise in the shape of her hand on your arm for sure.
“Let's get a drink.” You murmur, pulling her towards the kitchen, not letting her say what you knew she desperately wanted too.
“They're all so fucking hot.” She yells into your ear as you're pouring you both drinks. You laugh as your stomach twists with anxiety. Yes they were, and you were definitely having troubles with that. As the two of you take a couple sips of your drinks, you begin to hear what sounds like a commotion in the living room.
“I know she's here, and I dont fucking appreciate you forcing her to live here! I'm her fucking boyfriend… me!” You hear.
Your stomach drops.
“Mark.” You whisper.
“Don't go out there. Just stay here. Maybe he'll leave.” Sam says. At this point the music had been turned way down, and everyone was crowding around all 8 men and Mark. You knew he wouldn't leave. He was too fucking stubborn. You pushed your way through the crowd of people until you stood beside Hyunjin, who glanced over at you, worriedly.
“What the fuck, y/n.” Mark snaps, motioning to the men. “So what, you're just out here being a whore now?” He asks.
Hyunjin steps forward, but Jeongin pulls him back. “Excuse me?” You ask. “No, I just figured we were done since you can't keep your dick in your pants.” You snap back.
“What the hell are you even talking about?” Mark groans, rolling his eyes.
“San told me, don't play fucking dumb.” You spit. “You never stopped seeing Chae, even after begging, and crying on your knees for me to stay.” You yell.
You wanted to laugh along with those laughing in the crowd, while Mark looked embarrassed.
“Why would I still see her if I told you I only wanted you?” He asks.
“Why would San lie about that? He's your best friend.” You say.
“Yeah, my best friend who's… in…love with you!” Mark mutters.
“What?” You respond. There was no way. Absolutely no way. You'd never gotten those vibes from San, not in the two years that you had been with Mark.
“Why else would he say that?” Mark asks. “Think about it.”
“I am thinking about it, and you're full of shit.” You laugh. “There's no way that San feels like that.”
“I don't feel like what?” San asks, pushing his way through the crowd.
“Mark here says that you lied about Chae, because you're in love with me.” You say. The alcohol you had drank was making you more courageous than you'd ever been in your life. Sober you would never.
“What the fuck?” San laughs. “No offense, y/n but I have a girlfriend that I love very much.” He says. “And Mark's known about her since we started dating, a year and a half ago.”
You turn your head, glaring at Mark, who in turn is glaring at San.
“Interesting.” You mutter, rolling your eyes.
“Whatever, this isn't a conversation that should happen around others.” Mark scoffs. He grabs your wrist, yanking you towards him. “C'mon, let's go home.” He says.
“You know what, Mark?” You begin. “No.” You say, trying to free your wrist from his grasp.
“Y/n, now is not the time.” He snaps, looking around the room.
“I'm done. We're done. I don't trust you anymore. You've done nothing but lie to me. It's over.” You yell, pulling as hard as you can to free yourself.
“What's going on?” You hear from behind you, a familiar voice echoing through the almost silent room.
“Mark, you're hurting me!” You whine. Your wrist is beginning to throb and ache as you try to free yourself.
“Let her go.” You hear the same voice. Suddenly, Chan is beside you, his hand on top of Mark's. Chan didn't look like he was putting in any effort, but Mark's gave away how much pain he was in. Chan rips Mark's hand from around your wrist, pushing him back. Mark falls down to the floor.
“You're sleeping with him aren't you? Fucking whore.” Mark screams. Chan chuckles, taking two steps towards Mark, punching him in the face. You can hear the thump from his body dropping to the floor followed by the cries as he holds his face.
“We're not done! You won't find anyone like me! You're mine!” Mark screams.
Chan turns around to face you, and you weren't sure if it was because he saved you, or you were drunk, maybe a bit of both. But you walked up to him, grabbed his face, and quickly pressed your lips to his. Chan wraps his arm around your waist, pulling you in closer. You can hear Mark swearing as San pulls him out the front door.
You break away from the kiss. You can't look Chan in the eyes. You turn away, your eyes now searching for Sam, and when you find her, her eyes are wide with a giant smile on her face. You push through the crowd, leaving Chan standing there as you grab her arm, dragging her into the kitchen. You open a bottle of something, you don't even care what it is. You put the bottle to your lips, chugging it, ignoring the burning sensation in your throat.
“Bitch.” Sam gasps as you put the bottle back down onto the counter, breathing heavily.
“Did I just do that?” You ask, staring at your best friend.
“Yeah.” She laughs. “Yes you did.”
“Oh my god.” You groan, drinking a little more.
“Okay, alright.” She laughs, taking the bottle from your hand. “Let's not black out.” She murmurs. It was too late. You were already gone.
The next morning, you wake up with the worst headache in the world. Sleeping on the couch for the last few days definitely did not help your body when it desperately needed to recover. You were sore, stiff and felt like you'd been run over by a truck. And then you remembered ending things with Mark.
“Fuck.” You gasp, dropping your head into your hands.
“Everything okay, beautiful?” Hyunjin asks, walking into the living room, plopping down onto the couch beside you.
“I broke up with Mark.” You murmur.
“It's about time, y/n.” Jeongin chimes in.
“Yeah, honestly. He's fucking awful, and that's coming from me.” Seungmin chuckles.
“Yeah, no, I know he was. But I just… I don't know what to do now.” You say. “All my stuff is there… and I have nowhere to go.”
“The fuck are we then? Did we become temporary housing and no one told me?” Minho asks. “You've been here for days, y/n. Let's just go get your stuff and make it official.” Changbin smiles.
“That's really sweet you guys… but.” You trail off.
“But what? You can't live with 8 guys?” Felix laughs.
“I can't sleep on this fucking couch anymore.” You fake cry. “My back… it hurts so bad.”
Everyone laughs.
“Well, it's a good thing there's a bedroom ready for you then.” Chan smiles.
You hadn't seen him since you kissed him. That you remembered very, very vividly, and you couldn't help but feel embarrassed. In what world would any of these gods like men, actually like you?
“Wait.” You pause, thinking about what Chan said. “A bedroom?” You ask.
“Of course.” He smiles. “You think we'd ask you to move in here and make you sleep on the couch?” Han laughs. “I mean… Seungmin or Minho might but not the rest of us.”
“You're not wrong.” Seungmin smiles.
“Wow.” You laugh. “Thank you guys.”
“Let’s not get all sappy here.” Minho mumbles. “Can we go get your stuff now?”
“Yeah.” You smile.
The nine of you get ready to head over to your old shared apartment with Mark, unsure of what was going to happen.
You stood outside the door, the number 7 on the door looked different, even though it had only been a few days. You took a deep breath, glancing over at the 8 men that were waiting a little down the hall. You had told them that you needed to do this part by yourself. You were worried that if he opened the door and all of them were standing there, he might end up in a fit of rage. Though, you should have known better that he would end up in one regardless. You knocked on the door, putting your hands behind your back as you waited for him to answer. The door was pulled open, and Mark looked shocked to see you, before a smug ‘I knew she would be back’ look spread across his face.
“Y/N.” He breathes. You put your hand up to stop him from saying whatever he wanted to next.
“I'm just here to grab my stuff.” You explain, avoiding any eye contact with him. He doesn't move out of your way. You want to go inside and start packing the things that belong to you but he stands there still staring.
“Y/N.” He says in a low tone. “Don't be like that, baby.” He smiles. “C'mon. You know you wanna come back home.”
“Actually, what I'd like, is for you to get the fuck out of my way so I can get my stuff and go.” You say, giving Mark your best, annoyed smile.
“And if I don't?” He asks. “If I don't get out of your way? Then what? You gonna punch me like your little boyfriend did?” He mocks.
“No.” You sigh. “But they might hit you.” You say, motioning down the hallway. Mark peeks his head around the door frame, seeing 8 angry and annoyed looking men leaning against the wall.
“You’re such a bitch.” He mumbles, stepping out of your way. You smile, waving to the guys to come with you inside.
You walk past Mark, and can hear him grumbling as each man steps inside. They're all taller, more muscular, better looking, smarter, and funnier than Mark was, and he knew it too.
“Lets get this done, and get the fuck out of here.” You say, everyone scatters to tackle a room. It took the nine of you 4.5 hours, and a trillion questions about what was yours, for you all to finally finish. Mark didn't help at all, and that wasn't a surprise. He didn't want you to leave or leave him, and he was sure to continuously let you know throughout the afternoon.
“Y/N, wait.” Mark says, as you follow the guys out of the apartment. You don't wait, until he grabs your wrist again.
“Let go.” You spit. “This didn't end well for you the last time and it won't end well this time either.”
“Just wait a fucking minute.” He grumbles. “Don't go. Stay with me. Please.”
“No.” You deadpan. “I have no interest in being lied to or cheated on any longer. I hope I never see you again.”
You rip your wrist from his grip, walking down the hall.
“I'll have you again! You'll see! You'll be back when they inevitably kick your ass out!” He screams.
If only he knew how that would never happen.
“Ready?” Changbin asks, grinning from ear to ear. His hand was on the door knob for your room, and honestly you were so excited.
“Yes! Please open it.” You say, nearly falling over from excitement. He turns the knob, opening the door and your jaw is almost on the floor. It was exactly your style, a nice queen bed sitting in the middle of the room that was painted your favorite color. Everything matched, every single part of the room was your exact vibe and you were eternally grateful.
You had put a lot of your stuff in storage, since they had all told you that you wouldn't need a lot of it. To be honest you thought they were full of shit, but here they were, definitely not full of shit.
“We'll let you get settled.” Chan smiles, ushering the men to leave you be.
“Thank you guys. Really. I love it.” You smile.
It felt weird. To have people who truly cared for you like they did. You were worried that they would turn on you, because that seems to be the trend for people in your life. Your mom, dad, Mark, past friends. There was always something that made them leave you. You already felt a strong bond with all 8 of them, so you hoped nothing like that would happen but honestly, you can never truly prepare for the future.
That night, you sat outside on the front porch by yourself, wrapped in one of your new blankets from your new room. It was almost entirely pitch black out, almost silent except for the sounds of cars passing and the faint sounds of people walking by. The only light you had was the cherry from your roach, each time you took a puff, as well as the stars that scattered throughout the sky. The moon was high, shining down on the trees. It was a truly beautiful night.
You felt so relieved and free tonight. Mark hated when you smoked weed, so you weren't ever able to. But now with him out of the picture, you were excited to be able to partake in your favorite way to relax and unwind. You inhaled a long puff, slowly blowing it back out, enjoying the way it was making you feel. You weren’t very high, but it was enough. You lean your head back, closing your eyes, taking a breath when you hear a noise. A grunt, maybe. Your eyes shoot open, you see Jeongin walking towards the front steps of the house. As he walks closer, you see him more clearly under the front door light. There's blood dripping down his face. Your stomach sinks. He looks mad. You stand up, dropping your blanket on the porch, rushing towards him.
“Hey, Jeongin.” You start, popping up in front of him.
His eyes. They're red.
“Are you okay?” You ask, motioning towards the blood. He doesn't respond. He doesn't move. It doesn't even look like he's breathing. You can feel the tension surrounding you and him. It was making your stomach churn.
He stares at you, it almost feels like his eyes are burning through your skin.
Your eyes close.
When they open, the sun is shining through your window. You're laying in your bed, your blanket, that you dropped covering you.
What the fuck happened last night?

The sky was sparkling and the night was cool as the fluttering of wings flapped above an 18th century, two-floor house, a black roof and grey exterior walls, and a patio that wraps around to the left side. A courtyard with a fountain in the middle has a cobblestone path circling it, leading to the patio stairs in front of the front door. A fence with a gate around the whole lot.
The house resides on the outskirts of the town of humans. It's on a shallow hill, often used for dares. ‘Fifty bucks for the first one to reach the gate without backing out.’ 'I dare you to stand at the Shadowborne gate for five minutes without one of them noticing you.'
Shadowborne, that's the species that lived in the house, but it wasn't the entire species obviously. One clan resided in the house, the Stravian Kin Clan, and the human folk knew what they were, a couple of humans once tried to venture further than the gate one night which resulted in the law within the town that prohibited any residents from going into the forest after the clan leader left the trespassers worse for wear.
That never stopped the occasional rebellious teens from slipping through the fence to fulfill their bet or dare.
One night though, no humans trespassed or disturbed the land as a few bats flew and played around above the house, sometimes landing on the roof to settle down. Still, the playfulness continued with sneaky crawling before nipping at the victim and chirping happily at the reaction.
Two small bats were flying around while a slightly larger one sat on the roof when a fourth bat showed up, seemingly out of the clouds and the two smaller ones stopped flipping in the air to watch the new arrival above them before its wings stilled and it began to fall to the ground.
They watched as it fell to the ground before turning to the one on the roof. He chirped, flapping his wings to head for the balcony at the back right of the house on the second floor that leads to a large round room with bookshelves and pillows strewn about on a large cushion-like rug, covering the floor of the whole room.
The bats fly over to the balcony before three clouds of two deep red swirls twist around and up as full bodies are revealed before it dissipates and the now human-like forms take off in a run out of the room. They push through the doors and run to the right before coming to the wide opening of the stairs, dashing down the first staircase, turning on a flat section before coming to the last staircase and taking two at a time.
The taller one became impatient and grabbed the railing at the flat part before jumping over and landing on the first floor as the other two followed the stairs and continued the rest of the way, a few steps behind the taller one.
“Hyung!!” The one who jumped the stairs called out before he went to the front window and looked into the courtyard. “Hyung!!” One of the others, a blonde, ran to the right through the living room to the study as the other, a brunette, ran left towards the kitchen.
The “Hyung” in question appeared a second later, opening the study doors and the blonde collided with his chest with a ‘oof’. “Sorry! There's a bat! Th-They flew from the clouds before going limp and falling. Th-Their flight pattern was slow and staggered slightly, I think they're hurt.” “Did you recognize them?” “Uh…” If the blonde could blush, he would cause then he says with a chuckle, “Um, no. The…The moon was behind him…”
The older one huffed a smile before both were turning to the male at the window. “I can see him!” He yelled. “Him?” “Yeah! He's next to the fountain, he just reformed in a cloud of rust.” “Rust?” “Yeah, it was like a rust color.”
“Hyunjin, away from the window.” The tall vampire, Hyunjin, slouched away from the window and sat back on his shins with a small pout as he watched the older vampire open the door and walk out to the edge of the front deck.
He listened closely, watching the figure before he spun around when he heard another boot hit the wood porch. “No, back inside.” He scolds the blonde like a dog and he backs up before going over to Hyunjin and peaking through the curtain with him.
Chan slowly steps off the patio into the gravel. He slowly stalks forward, straining his enhanced hearing to the edges to listen to the figure as he circled the fountain. His inner protector senses the figure as a threat as he stalks forward and one more step has the figure turning his head before he's upright, trying to drag himself away from the taller, intimidating, clear leader of the territory he crashed into.
“I-I’m sorry! I-I’m sorry! P-Please have mercy…m-mercy, please. I-I w-won't bother y-you, sir, I-I’ll leave j-just please, I-I need-” He yelps and stops scooting back away from the other vampire when a twig from a dying bush from the garden surrounding the path stab into the wound on his side. He cries out painfully, falling onto his back with his eyes squeezed shut to not cry, to not be weak as he pushes the twig away from him and gripping his side.
“Why are you here, Emberborne?” Is all the leader says.
Emberborne. Like Shadowborne’s, their bat forms are a reddish-orange, living West of where Shadowborne’s inhabit. So why and how is one all the way East and by itself?
“I-I don't…I d-don't mean…harm...” The boy is panting heavily, eyes trained on the night sky and almost hyperventilating before he huffs out heavily a couple of times, his eyes fluttering shut while his hand lets go of his side and his head slowly falls to the side, unconscious.
The Shadowborne, Chan, steps closer until he crouches down next to the boys left side and gently moves his hand to look at the wounds on his side and stomach. The loose-fit shirt, frilly with large sleeve cuffs, typically what older generation vampires wore, was torn and bloody. On the boy's side were two large open wounds, but not as deep as a gash, almost like something grazed him and took the top layer on skin but when Chan grazed lightly over the middle wound on the side of the boys stomach to move the shirt, he hissed as his fingers suddenly stung slightly.
Moving the shirt out of the way, he sees a silver bullet. He moves to the right side of the Emberborne quickly, picking him up with an arm under his knees and his upper back then turning back to the house.
Hyunjin and the blonde were at the front door the moment Chan had stood up with the boy. “Go get Minho.” “Chan Hyung, he’s with Changbin to get the supplies from the forest border.” Hyunjin reminds him as Chan gently puts the boy on the couch so his wounded side is facing him.
Groaning, he sighs while removing the boy's top. “Okay. Hyunjin, in the study behind the desk, is an old black bag. Can you get it? Felix, go get one of Innie’s shirts and prepare a room. Where’s Jisung?” “He went to the kitchen to, I assume, look for you.” “Get him along with some blood packs.”
Hyunjin returned with the black bag as Felix went off. Opening it and digging around, Chan pulls out a small pair of medical tongs and a small glass jar. “Hyung, who is this?” “Don’t know. He’s an Emberborne and…” He drags out as he carefully uses the tongs to grab the silver bullet and carefully extract it, placing it in the small jar and then putting the lid back on. “...He must've been attacked. Eh, Don't touch that.” Though it was in a glass jar, it was still a silver bullet, so he quickly slapped Hyunjin’s hand away when he reached out to look at what Chan had just removed.
He pulls out gauze along with a bandage. “Come here, Jin.” He guides the young vampire to sit on the back of the couch while holding the unknown boy up so he can place the gauze and cotton along the wounds before wrapping the bandage around his torso. “His healing is gonna be slow until he wakes up and he can feed,” Chan explains when he sees the confusion on Hyunjin’s face as he sits on the couch with the boys head on his lap.
“What could an Emberborne even be doing here?” Hyunjin asked. “Ran away? Outcasted? Lost his clan? Who knows. We’ll just have to wait until he wakes up.” Chan mutters as he puts everything back in the back except the tongs and the jar.
Felix returns with Jisung and two other seemingly younger vampires behind him. “Okay, gotta get some of this into his system,” Chan mutters as he takes the pack of blood from Jisung and the shirt from Felix. From the front door, two vampires walk in as their reforming smoke dissipates behind them and they're carrying large bags on their shoulders. “Hey, We’re- Woah.” The last two clan members stop at the sight of the others surrounding what they think is a human on the couch.
At the sign of Minho about to hiss as he glared at the boy, Chan handed the bag that was dripping blood into the boy's mouth to Hyunjin, who continued the steady dripping, before standing up. “It's not a human, it's a vampire.” “How do you know?” “Well, his fangs, the slight burn marks on his wounds from a silver bullet-” “The fact that he was a bat and almost crashed into us.” Jisung cuts him off as he points between him and Felix then Hyunjin speaks up without looking away from feeding the unconscious vampire. “He reformed in a cloud of rust.”
“Okay, I got it.” Minho relaxed as Chan took the bag from him. “Oh, I tidied up the room next to the library for him.” “Thank you, Felix. Wanna take him up?” Felix nods before taking the half dripped pouch from Hyunjin and picking the boy up in a princess carry and taking him through the large foyer and up the stairs to the room he made up.
It's the size of a master bedroom, all of them are, and in the center against the right wall is a queen bed covered with a dark green quilt and matching canopy hanging from wooden posts.
Felix gently places the boy on the bed where he folded the blanket and sheet out of the way. As he tucks the boy in, he goes to walk away but stops and gently moving his hair away from his eyes. “You look so young.” He mutters to himself before taking his hand from under the blanket, looking at where an existing pulse point would've been.
Felix’s brows furrow before placing it back next to him and took his other wrist. “No mark?” “Emberborne’s aren’t like us, Lixie.” Felix jumps, turning to see Chan walk in and walk over to him to sit on the edge of the bed. “Right. I wasn't really taught about Emberborne’s…Before I found you, my old clan literally obliterated everything about Emberborne's.”
“Shadowborne's have been marking their offspring with their clan sigils for eternity, even in today’s evolved age. It's for protection and safety and forms when we grow into our vampire side. Unfortunately, with Emberborne's, they still have old ideations like us but believe they need to grow up and survive on their own, that they don't need protection of their family. They don't get any marks until they make their own family. An emberborne once lived to be three hundred and six before they got a sigil, finding their partner. They were the last of their birth family to get their own family sigil.” “Wow.”
Felix began to absentmindedly rub his thumb back and forth on the boy's knuckles, looking away from Chan to look down at his peaceful face. “What got him?” “I assume Hunters. Pulled a silver bullet out of one of the wounds.” “What? That's not cool.” “No, it's not. Oh…” Chan pulled something out of his pocket and moved to sit on the other side of the boy. “I noticed sun burn welts as you were bringing him up here.”
He gently moved the blanket away and moved the top part of his shirt. “Oh no.” Felix sat on the bed, watching Chan rub an ointment over red patches on the boy's chest. “Attacked during the day? He must've been chased out of wherever he was hiding.” Felix says as he hovers a finger over one of the burns. “There's no signs that show how old he is. Do they age slowly like us?” “They do. He may look the human age of nineteen but he may be one of our ages.” “Well, Hyunjin looks nineteen but he's like two hundred.” Chan snickers as he caps the ointment.
“You're really invested in this boy.” “I’m just worried about him and he looks interesting. You know me, I cried when we found Seungmin and he said a wolf got him.” “You do know that when he's awake and healed, we’ll have to send him off…right?” “Wha- But Hyung-” “We can't keep an Emberborne. Ember and Shadow don't mix.” “But…But you brought him in. You bandaged him up, you care about him.” “Felix!” Chan bared his fangs and his eyes flashed before closing his eyes the moment he saw Felix flinch and took a deep breath while looking away.
“I did what I did because I couldn't leave him with the bullet. Plus he begged for mercy, I couldn't-” He's silent for a moment. “Couldn't just leave him...” “Hyung…” Felix says softly as he watches Chan get off the bed and walk towards the door. “Come on. Let him rest.” Chan mutters as he stares at the floor, hand on the door.
Felix walked over to him, glancing back to the boy then to Chan. “Go.” Chan says firmly, tilting his head out the door to get Felix to walk out. Felix sighs, looking down at his hands and walking to the left to the library, probably to curl up in his corner Chan predicts.
Chan sighs, looking back at the boy on the bed before walking out.
Chan and his clan had long been asleep before the sun began to rise. He's buried under his dark red bedding with one of his younger vampires tucked in his arms who snuck in shortly after he fell asleep so he’s not sure who it is.
It had only been two hours, behind the thick curtains the sunrise peaked behind the clouds and lit the outside of the house with the new daylight but Chan suddenly jerks awake, looking around the dark room to figure out what was wrong.
Looking down, he notices the body in his arms was Felix. He's glad he didn't completely put off Felix from earlier.
Unwrapping his arms from the blonde, he slips out of bed, going to check the house just in case. Maybe his senses were detecting one of his vampires out of bed, possibly Changbin trying to sneak one of his pouches. Changbin was banned from the fridge during the day, their night time, after the last time he took one a day early and ended up having to wait an entire day before they could get their next month's supply. His feeding schedule was shit after that and they had to bribe their supplier for an extra pouch.
Their supplier being at the human towns hospital, an older doctor that they made a deal with after the human trespassing law was made. No humans in their forest for a month's worth of blood packs. The town didn't want anymore deaths so some of the residents donate blood simply for the vampires.
When Chan left his room, he was on the other side of the house from the library, he walked to the left towards the stairs, pausing at the other doors he passed by to hear the breathing of one or two of his clan, only passing the rooms who's doors were open.
Changbin’s door was closed with two sets of breathing, so that rules out Changbin sneaking blood and explains Hyunjin’s door being open as Hyunjin usually slept with Changbin. Seungmin’s door was closed but Jeongin’s was open and with Minho’s being closed and Jisung’s being open, and Felix with him, the two baby vamps were together and Ji was with Min or one baby was with Ji and the other with Min.
So what woke him up?
That's when a thought entered his head and he walked to the library. When he gets there, he freezes, lowering his body as he slowly stalks to the open bedroom. Peaking in, the blankets on the bed are thrown away and there's no longer a body, the blood pack Felix left behind now on the floor, empty. His thoughts are on overdrive as he dashes over to the rope hanging at the end of the hall and pulls, it was an old design feature that came with the house that triggers small bells that are in each room.
He hears a yelp near the stairs and runs over to it, finding the boy from before. “Wait, Don't move!” The boy looks up to the second floor balcony and Chan can see and hear his rapid breaths along with noticing the blooming red staining the shirt which means his bandages were soaked as well before the boy takes off in the direction of the living room. “Wait!” By that time, the others are out of bed, alert but mostly grumpy at being woken up so early into their sleep.
The sun just rose for crying out loud.
“Corner him, I think he's trying to leave.” He calls out when he can feel the others growing closer as he jumps over the railing and follows the boy.
He follows him through the living room and into the study. He runs behind the desk, cowering against the decommissioned fireplace behind it before glancing at the side door that leads to a passageway to the kitchen.
Chan lowers his height, hands outstretched to stop him. “Hold on, wait, it's okay, you're okay.” “I-I’m sorry, I don't-” “It's okay, calm down, we won't hurt you. What’s your name, fledgling?” The boy pants, glancing at the door then back to the person in front of him. “Don't, please. It's okay.” Chan slowly steps forward, crouching down lower to look less intimidating which shocks him himself but he chalks it up to just not wanting the boy to aggravate his wounds and dressings.
He barely gets another step when the boy takes off, pushing open the cracked door and running to the kitchen with Chan following.
In the kitchen, Changbin and Felix are waiting, listening, until Changbin is turning when he hears the running in the study’s hallway.
The boy was looking behind him, watching out over his shoulder for Chan before turning and stopping with a squeak when he noticed Changbin. He swerves, diverting the other way but is stopped by Felix and he runs back the other way, dropping to his knee and sliding past Changbin before standing back up, staggering and holding a hand to his side as he looks back at the other three before running again and Chan follows, Changbin and Felix joining as well shortly after.
The boy runs back to the foyer, through the empty room that used to be a dining room and to the stairs. Running up the stairs, he runs in the direction of the room he first left but Minho and Seungmin block him. He skids to a stop, going to run the other way but Jisung, Hyunjin, and Jeongin block him.
Breathing heavily, fear and panic washed over his face as he looked at each of the split groups, from the two on his left then the three on his right, then the three below him.
A window catches his eye, poised above the flat level of the stairs that conjoin the first level and second level staircase. A slight billow of the curtain pinned to the wall to still keep light out giving away that the window was open. “Wait! Wait! Don't do it!” Chan exclaims, noticing the boy glance at the window.
He shrinks back to the wall, looking to his left and right again to see the other strangers have gotten closer. “Stop him!” Chan yells at the two groups but the boy is already running the moment Minho dashes forward to grab him.
His transformation is quick, rust smoke envelopes his body and dissipates as a bat emerges and he’s trying to fly up to the window but with a weak chirp and pained squeak, his flying falters and he falls. “No!” Chan runs forward and catches the weakened Vampire in his hands.
The bat squeaks and chirps, flapping in Chan’s hands as the groups on the second floor have converged and looked over the railing the moment the bat began to fall.
“Shh, Shh, it's okay little fledgling, we won't hurt you. Settle down, it's okay.” Chan says in a hushed tone, a hand moving from underneath the bat to rest over his back and using his thumb to pet his head. “It's okay. You have to calm down little one. You almost got yourself burned.” Still panting and breathing heavily, the flapping has stopped, wings draped over Chan’s hand as he looks up at the male holding him. “It's daytime. You would've made your condition worse.”
Chan continued to pet his head as Felix and Changbin walked up next to him while the others still watched from above. “Are you calm enough? Wanna reform?” He watches the bat heave a few more breaths before his head falls flat on Chan’s palm like a dog draped over the arm of a chair, looking up at him and making Chan huff a small laugh. “Want me to set you down or do you need a toss?” He flicks his wings and Chan steps back towards the stairs, the other two walking back from him to give him space.
Chan tosses the bat gently in front of him before rust smoke is swirling around and the boy reforms then promptly falls to the floor, legs folded underneath as his hands hold him up on the floor. “I-I’m sorry..” He breathes out with an exhale, voice soft and gentle as he tries to catch his breath. “I-I didn't mean to…I’m sorry.” He whimpers and Chan carefully steps forward.
“It's okay. What’s your name?” “M-Mn…a-and I’m not a fledgling…I’m two hundred and fifteen.” “Sorry, I did that out of habit. You look young like Hyunjin.” You look up and back, eyes jumping from one vampire to the other before dropping your head back down. “I didn't mean to invade your territory…I-I was f-fleeing from hunters and they found me…I-I was so scared, I started running without reforming or thinking. Th-They chased me till dusk, one got me with his bullets. The trees barely covered me.”
Your right hand moved from the floor to absentmindedly touch your burns before a hand takes yours and you flinch. “Sorry, didn't want you to touch the ointment or the burn itself.” You gasp suddenly and your hand leaves his to go to your side. “The bullet. Where-” “I extracted it. Put it in a jar, might take it to the human town authorities so they could do something with it.”
You fall back, slowly scooting away. “H-Humans? Do you interact with humans?” Chan’s hand gently rests on your ankle. “No, we just have an alliance with them. The most interaction we do is with our blood supplier at the hospital. That's it.” “How…How do they trust you so easily?” “They made a law awhile back after I mauled two humans when they trespassed. Humans stay away from our property and we stay away from their town. Even our supplier stays away, just drops the bags at the edge of the forest.”
Your eyes water, glassy as you look up at Chan. “N-No humans?” “Yeah. Hey, don't cry. Are you hurt? Do you need anything?” “Wh-Why are you being so nice to me?” Chan hesitates, glancing at Felix next to him then back to the boy. “You begged for mercy…and I couldn't leave you with a silver bullet slowly killing you.” It's quiet for a moment other than the others moving to the second floor of the stairs and sitting along the banister. “The…Uh, the bullet is also blessed…M-Might want to take it to a priest as well…if the town has one.” You stare down at your fingers where the older vampire notices your burnt fingertips. “You tried to remove them.” “Yeah…the first two were painful and easy but the third one was too far.”
Shaking his head, he awkwardly looked around then back to the floor. “I, um, I’m sorry. I-I’ll be out tonight, I promise.” “You can stay until the silver effects wear out and you're replenished.” Looking at the grandfather clock next to the front door, it's eight in the morning and Chan giggles softly as he glances back at the others.
“Late night snack anyone?” “Me!” Changbin says first and gets up, already halfway to the kitchen and the others laugh and stand as well. “Come on. Let’s get some blood in you, might help get you closer to restoring your quick healing.” Chan helps you stand, supporting you as you stumble slightly then look over at Felix. “Hi…” “Hi.” Felix smiles. “Sorry I almost crashed into you and your friend.” “It's okay. Come on, let's go feed.” Felix gently holds your shoulder and helps guide you to the kitchen.
The others have already started to walk away before you and Felix except Minho who stands next to Chan, watching the two of you walk away. “What happened to Shadows not liking Embers?” “He's injured.” Chan shrugs, looking down at his hands. “Wouldn't be right, especially since...well y’know.” “Yeah, Yeah, begged for mercy.” “Silver doesn't take long to leave us so he should actually be good to leave tonight. Then he’ll be on his way.”
Minho scans Chan’s stance and listens to his tone of voice. “Why does it sound like you don't want him to leave?” “It's just the leader in me or something, feels wrong for him to be alone with no protection.” His thumb finds the mark on his left wrist, grazing over his Clan sigil, on his right wrist is his birth clan sigil. Minho takes his hand, replacing his thumb with his own. “He’ll get protection one day. That's how his species live. Now come on, Changbin might eat the whole stock.” That brings a small smile to Chan’s face, his fangs peaking through and Minho pokes his cheek while moving to take Chan's hand, lacing their fingers together. “Cute.” Chan swats him away, letting go of Minho’s hand then heads to the kitchen. “Chan! I’m just teasing!”
Chan was right when he said Mn would be okay by night. The remaining effects of the silver gone and plenty of blood had his quick healing restored as he slept. After everyone who wanted a pouch had one, everyone promptly went back to bed for the rest of the day.
Mn woke up first the moment he could hear the grandfather clock strike. Walking over to the window, Mn opened the curtain and watch the sky, the sun out of the way and leaving behind a beautiful night sky.
Mn sighs when he knows he’ll have to leave and go off flying again. He might as well leave now, Mn told them he'll be gone at night so he’ll be gone.
Wearing the youngest vampire’s shirt he was given, his boots in hand so as to not cause noise, he tiptoed his way next door, carefully opening the door then closing it and padding his way over to the balcony. He ties the curtain out of the way before carefully opening the window doors and walking out onto the patio.
Mn slipped on his boots and tie them before standing up, looking back into the house that he's felt the safest in ever before walking over to the stone railing and climbing up, jumping off before reforming and flying up. He hovers, taking one last look at the house before taking off into the clouds and away from the Shadowborne’s.
When Felix went to check on Mn when he woke, his whole body deflated at the open door before going to the library, deflating even more at the open terrace then going back to his room.
“Good evening, Felix.” Hyunjin greets with a yawn while rubbing his eyes, walking into his room and flopping on the bed next to him. “Mn’s gone.” Hyunjin drops his hand next to him and looks up at the male who's balled up on himself, arms wrapped around his knees as he stares at his blanket. “Well, of course he is. His quick healing must've kicked in while he was sleeping so he left like he said he would.” “Yeah, well…Kinda wanted him to stay around.” Felix mutters, turning away to bury half his face into his elbow. “He's an emberborne, Felix. The only reason he was here was to recover.” “I know…”
It was quiet for a while, Hyunjin rubbing his back before he shifts. “Um, I kinda want to be alone for a while. If you need me I’ll be on the living room ceiling.” “Oh…Okay Lixie.” The blonde reforms, swirl of deep red covering him before dissipating and Hyunjin watches the bat fly away towards the living room. “Oh Lix…” He says sadly as he gets up and leaves the boys room.
Walking downstairs, he looks up to find the boy curled up and huddled in the darkest corner of the ceiling, away from lights and candles. “Hyun?” He stood at the end of the living room in front of the study to look at Felix properly. “Whatcha looking at?” Chan asks, legs moving off the top of the desk as he puts his book down and joins the other. “A Felix.” Looking up as well, Chan spots him.
“Aw, why’s he in his corner?” “Mn’s gone.” Hyunjin answers simply and Chan sighs. “Sorry Lix.” The only reply he got was a small chirp before he looked down. “Good to know he's all better now.” He tells Hyunjin as he moves to the couch. “Yeah.” Hyunjin joins him, leaning into him.
“Hyung, I get that he begged for mercy and he was injured…but you seemed extra caring towards him. Even more than usual, as if he was a part of the clan like us.” “It was just the clan leader in me. He doesn't have his own family so he doesn't have a protective sigil.” “He doesn't? I knew they had to fend for themselves but they don't even have family sigils?” “Nope.” Chan took Hyunjin’s right hand to graze his thumb over his family mark. “They only get one, while we get a family…” he then reaches for Hyunjin’s other hand. “and clan marks, they only get family marks and only when they've found their partner.” “Like the three hundred year old Ember?” “Yeah.” “So…it could be even longer than that until an Ember finds it’s family? They go unprotected for that long?” Hyunjin’s voice was filled with concern, not exactly enjoying Emberborne traditions. “They do.”
They look up at the fluttering of wings to see Felix gently flutter his way down before landing on Chan who scoops him up and pets his head with his thumb, comforting his little bat. “We never asked why he was all the way over here. He's from the other side of the world.” “Yeah…but he’ll be fine on whatever journey he's on.” Chan replies and lifts Felix up as he tucks his wings to his sides. The older male gently kisses the top of Felix’s head and he chirps, relaxing in Chan’s hold.
The rest of the night, the others carried Felix around. When he's down he prefers to be small, to be coddled, and to be held. When he's small, they can hold him and he won't be in the way unlike his full form.
He was resting with his eyes closed on Chan’s shoulder, the older vampire walking around trying to find something to do when there was a knock on the front door.
“Jeez, what stupid humans decided to trespass this time. Gotta give it to them though, they've never gotten to the front door.” Chan mutters, mostly to himself but also for Felix to hear if he's awake.
Chan went into the empty dining room, which Jisung has been trying to convince everyone to make into a second living room, to peek out the window. When he sees an old style of suit, lace cuffs showing from under an old, seemingly Victorian suit coat, he shuts the curtain and walks over to the door to open it and finds an old face to fit the old fashion.
“Are you the leader of the Stravian Kin clan?” “Yes? What's this about? We don't normally get other vampiric guests.” He can feel Felix shift on his shoulder and nuzzle into his neck. “As a fairly recently formed clan, you and your brethren or consorts must attend the gathering of clans to form or reestablish alliances with other clans along with checking in with your family and friends.” The male hands Chan a rolled up scroll. “It’d also be best if you wear…less human clothes lest you stand out or draw attention.” Chan glances down at his boots, jeans, and t-shirt before looking up and nodding. “Yes, of course sir.” “and if you are a clan that has integrated into the more modern world, the shiny devices are prohibited.” “We aren't, that won't be a problem.”
The gentleman glances at Felix on Chan’s shoulder and smiles softly. “Do you mind?” He lifts his hand a little and Chan looks down at Felix who has been awake, now just flopped on the older male’s shoulder. Felix chirps and the man reaches up to gently pet his head. “My kin use to do this with me whenever I’m in my natural form. Not as much anymore due to them finding their own clans.” He pulls his hand away and Felix trills happily before snuggling back into Chan’s neck. “The gathering is…” He trails off before sighing. “Do you per chance have a clock?” “Yeah.” Chan steps back and looks towards the grandfather clock.
“It's eleven thirty five, sir.” “Thank you. The gathering is at two, in your scroll is a sigil. Simply run your fingers over it and your clan will be transported, saving you the long flight to Vesper Sanctum.” “Thank you, sir.” “Of course. Have a nice rest of your evening.”
Chan bows as the man turns around and leaves, shutting the door and sighing. “Great.”
“Do we really have to wear this?” Changbin complains. “Unfortunately.” “But I thought we wanted to be different and stick out?” Seungmin asks on the back of the couch, pulling at his collar.
Chan had to fly around the attic to find the old dress wear they used to wear before changing to more modern clothes. “Well, any other time, yes, but since we're a new clan and this is our first time doing something like this, I kinda don't want to make any bad impressions to future allying clans.” “About that, I think it's dumb. Why ask for alliance with some unknown clan of Shadowborne's when we're perfectly fine on our own. We have a deal with the human town, we're comfortable living here, why do all this?”
Chan sighs, moving from fixing Seungmin’s collar to standing in front of a frowning Minho to fix his shirt. “Protection, resources, friends? We're not the only new clan going, I’m sure. Plus every clan will be there, it's also a family reunion.”
“Will emberborne's be there?” Felix, having been coaxed out of his bat form by Jisung, asks quietly, voice soft and quiet as he fiddles with his frilly sleeves. “You didn't ask that man and he didn't mention it either.” Chan is silent for a moment then moves again to Felix who stands behind the couch. “I’m not sure.” He gently takes Felix’s hand to tuck the shirt sleeve into the coat sleeve. “But if they are…you can't run off.” Chan could feel it, feel Felix’s hope while also being able to see it in his eyes. Felix goes to protest, to explain why he's asking but he knows Chan knows why he's asking.
“Okay. I won't run off, but if…if he is there, and he comes over to us…what do we do?” Chan finishes tucking his sleeves, holding his hands gently yet tight. “Don't greet him like a friend. Greet him like any other clan associate.” Felix nods and Chan lets go of his hands, pulling him into a hug. “I’m sure he's okay, Felix.” “He just left though…he's probably not going to be there.” “We may be different but we're equally fast. And if you're right then I’ll hold your mopey little bat butt for as long as you need.” Chan says, hoping to make the younger laugh and it works, Felix pulling away with a light laugh and smile. “Thank you, Hyung.” “Always. Now let's get going, Bin looks like he's about to rip the lace.” “It's itchy.” The aforementioned male whines as the others laugh.
They gather around Chan as he opens the scroll to see his own sigil. Tracing the lines, it glows red and deep red smoke swirls around them from the ground and when it reaches their head and dissipates, they're stood in front of a castle, multiple clans walking through the front door and inside.
The scroll disappears in Chan's hand at the same time they hear hissing, looking up to see two women baring their fangs at each other. “Hyung, look.” Jeongin holds on to Chan’s arm and points to the ground.
Leading into the castle were two carpets, black on the left and red on the right. The two women stand in the middle where the carpets meet before two men split them apart and pull them inside. “I guess it's literally every clan.” Hyunjin mutters from behind Chan.
Taking a deep breath, he nods his head slightly then glances at the boys. “Come on.” He walks over to the black carpet with the others in tow, Jeongin still holding on to his arm as his gaze lingers along the red carpet they're walking away from.
When inside the large ballroom, Felix and Jeongin are immediately bombarded by their siblings from their family clan, hugs so tight both of the boys look like they're gonna suffocate if they weren’t already dead and didn't breath like normal humans.
Changbin’s sister soon appeared and eventually it was just him and the boys that didn't have siblings. He couldn't spot his family yet but when he did, he didn't leave Minho and Hyunjin behind.
Eventually they all returned back to Chan and he looked around to notice all the clans gathering together. He moves his to the wall out of the way of the others and as to not be in the center, too much attention for them.
A moment later, clans start walking around to other clans to begin mingling. “I think this is the alliance making part.” Minho whispers and Chan sighs. “Yeah…” “You okay?” “I honestly wanted to go home the moment after I saw my family.” Chan mutters, looking at the clans around him. “Now I’m tired.”
Minho takes his hand in one of his, patting it gently with the other before clasping it over their conjoined hands. “It's okay. Just focus on us for now.” He looks around to see his own clan talking to one another and smiles as he leans against the wall behind them. “Okay.”
They stood there for who knows how long, just in their own world in the back of the castle before Felix notices the edge of a dress in the corner of his eye and looks up. Emberborne's have begun mingling with some of the Shadowborne’s and the dress of one catches his eye. “You idiot, you trying to make the whole of this species hate us?” The woman screeched quietly as she drags another vampire by the ear next to them, a couple steps away.
“I meant what I said. Your idea of an arranged marriage to the opposite species of a clan I don't even care about is wrong.” The woman slaps him, an angry scowl on her face as the male clutches his cheek. “Mom-” “No. This is why you’ll never get a protection mark. You should be grateful we're even helping you get protection, you weakling. Couldn't even escape some hunters during your punishment. Should've just left the bullet in, save us the hassle.”
Suddenly a man is stomping over, moving the woman out of the way just to slap the male again. “You just lost us an eternity's worth of alliance with the oldest Shadowborne clan here. You're gonna go back over to them and agree to marry their daughter, you're gonna fix all of this.” “I don't even like their daughter.” Another slap, at this point, Felix is watching instead of listening, his silence drawing Seungmin’s attention as well as Jisung’s to the same sight.
“You're marrying her no matter what. You’ll be getting protection while also fixing the alliance you broke.” “No! I’m not gonna do it!” Chan and the others are now watching when they finally hear the fight not so far away from them.
“Don't make us force you to fly another world wide trip to learn your lesson. Maybe this time the sun will get you.” Chan’s hand tightens in Minho’s. He doesn't know who the kin is but just the sound of parents forcing their kin to fly across the world just to learn a lesson made him extremely angry.
“Do you want me to fix an alliance or do you want me dead, make up your fucking minds!” Another slap and now more clan’s have gathered to watch and listen, the Shadowborne’s looking worried while the Emberborne’s watch like the kin deserves whatever he's getting. Emberborne’s are so cruel to their unprotected kin, Chan thinks.
“You don't get to speak out like that.” The man finally moves, the woman and her dress originally blocking the vampire but now they could get a look at the abused vampire.
“MN!” Felix calls out before he can catch himself and he's shrinking in on himself as everyone turns to him and Chan steps forward, standing next to the blonde protectively. “How does he know your name?” The man, presumably Mn’s father, asks darkly, glaring at the boy. “They helped me after the hunters got me. They didn't leave me for dead with a blessed silver bullet stuck inside me. Cause I begged for mercy.” “They should've ignored it and let you die.” “Hey!”
They turn to Chan who stands in front of the others. “Just because you have different traditions doesn't mean you wish for your kin to be dead. And he has a point, you're making these comments about wanting him dead but you also want to force him to fix an alliance?” “Chan, don't-” His dad slapped him again, causing him to fall to the floor.
Chan doesn't know what came over him but in that moment all he wanted to do was protect. He dangerously bared his fangs to the Emberborne who turned towards him at the sound of Chan's low hiss. “N-No, Chan, please- Ah!” Mn’s mother kicked his side when he tried to get up, kicking him back to the floor as his father chuckled darkly. “You dare challenge me?” The older vampire smirks darkly, showing one of his fangs.
“Ch-Chan…don't do it…” Mn pleads softly from his spot on the floor, leaning on an elbow and looking up at the male and the others behind him.
“You want to challenge me, fine. Let's go outside.” Mn’s dad walks away and Mn tries to get up to follow them out but his mother steps on his back. “Dear, let him go. Since he’s the problem, he’ll be the prize.”
Mn’s mother lifts him up by the back of his coat, shoving him over to his father who grabs his jacket like the woman did and brings him outside. He throws Mn to the side as Chan stands on one side and he stands closer to the castle. They're a few feet apart, snarling at each other as they circle around.
“You win, you get Mn. I win, I get him and you’ll never see him again.” Mn’s dad declares before disappearing with speed to end up behind Chan and kick his back, knocking him down but he gets up and uses his speed as well, to try and knock his ankles out from under him but the other dodges and transforms in a rust cloud before flying away from Chan and reforming. No rules were established, Chan notes before transforming and darting out from his red cloud so fast that no one notices his small black form disappearing and curving to the right, reappearing at the other vampires left and reforming to kick him, destabilizing him and giving him the chance to swipe his foot and knock the other over before stepping back.
“Impressive.” The man complimented as he got up, gaze not leaving Chan. “But not enough.” He reforms again, flying to his left to circle Chan who watches, focusing on the bat circling him, spinning to his other side to continue following but there was no bat on his other side. He had tricked him but he couldn't turn fast enough before he was kicked to the ground again.
“Dad, please…” Chan hears Mn’s voice, looking up to see Mn’s mother holding him down, preventing him from intervening.
Suddenly, wave of energy crashed over Chan as his briefly red eyes meet Mn’s gold. Gasps and whispers start around them and it appears that Mn’s parents didn't notice what just happened.
Chan hasn't felt this since he first started his clan, since he first found his brethren before they became his consorts and their eyes quickly flash red.
Chan just bonded with an Emberborne.
He's got to win this, He's gotta beat Mn’s dad, He has to get to him. Who knows what title he’ll be given when he will claim Mn but he has to, has to take him from his wretched abusing family.
He pushes up, standing on his feet and turning to Mn’s dad who stands confidently in front of him with a cocky smirk. He reforms again, darting out of his smoke before it dissipates completely and he flies along the edge of the crowd before flying out and knocking his wing into Mn’s mother and disappears again.
“That little twerp.” The woman shouts as she looks around and Chan flies by her again and she yells in annoyance, trying to swat at him but Chan is already making another round and finally she does what he wanted her to do.
She stumbles back from stepping on Mn who’s quick to reform and fly away, blinding his mother with his smoke before it disappears and she's looking around for her son. “MN!”
Mn’s father looks around for Chan and his son, listening as best as he could for flapping wings before he's turning to the front of the castle. In front of the stone railing to the entrance stairs was Chan and Mn. “Can I bite you?” “What?” “Can I bite you? I can take you from your family, you can be with us.” “But I’m-” “Which Shadowborne would you prefer? Me or some random woman.” Mn gasps softly and Chan can see his eyes shine in the moonlight and the few flame lamps surrounding the yard. “Yes. Yes, you can, please, my family fucking sucks, please.”
“Stop this nonsense! No one has won, Mn move out of the way!” He turns to his father who's beginning to storm over to him. Chan stands behind him, his left hand grabbing and ripping the fabric of Mn’s suit out of the way as his right holds Mn’s waist and he leans down. “What are you doing!” “Winning my fight.” He smirks before leaning down and sinking his teeth into Mn’s exposed skin. Mn yelps out at the initial pain and intrusion before he groans, hand reaching up to Chan’s that rests on his shoulder.
The crowd gasps at Chan's actions, astonished that he matched and claimed an Ember so quickly and easily. Behind them, they could hear the rest of the clan cheer excitedly, especially Felix.
Chan was immensely comfortable where he was but still forced himself to pull back, pulling out his fangs as Mn moved his hand so they could both watch the Stravian Kin sigil almost burn into his skin but it really shows up as if someone was invisible and tattooing his wrist. It shined gold once it finished and Mn smiled.
They look away from the mark to Mn’s father who stares at them, practically gobsmacked. Chan smirks, leaning down and licking the blood off Mn’s shoulder without looking away from the older Vampire. “I win.”
Mn’s father huffs angrily, fisting his lapels and tugging them down, straightening his coat before transforming and flying away with Mn’s mother following shortly after.
Chan stands straight, watching them fly off and when he looks down, Mn is already looking at him. “You really want me in your clan?” “Well I can't take it back.” He lifts a hand and wipes a trail of blood off with his finger before licking it off. “And Felix probably won't let you leave again. Since you left, he was in his bat form until we had to get ready for this.” Before Mn could ask where he was, he saw someone jump over the railing next to them and turned in order to catch a blonde vampire.
“Mn! Are you okay? How are you? How’d you get here so fast? Did you miss us? I might've missed you. You paired with Hyung! How do you-” “Felix! Hey, calm down, I’m not going anywhere. Not anymore.” Felix removes himself from Mn and looks up at him before gasping. “Gold is really pretty on you.” Mn laughs and pulls Felix back into a hug before flinching and giggling as he pushes Felix away. “Okay, warn me before you lick me, please.” “Warning.” Chan cheekily mutters before cleaning the rest of his bite, Mn yelping at his voice suddenly being next to his ear. “Th-That’s not what I meant and you know it.”
“Chan Hyung! Can we go home? I’m tired.” Changbin asks as he pulls at his collar. Chan looks around before spotting the man that invited him to this place. “Do we have to fly back?” “No, where's your sigil?” “It disappeared when we got here.” “Oh, that's not meant to happen. Here.” He walks back into the castle before emerging with another scroll and handing it to Chan. “Here's a new one.” “Thank you.” “Of course.”
Chan turns back to his clan and watches Mn look at the other boys with flashes of gold. Smiling, he walks over to them. “Let’s go home.” Felix holds Mn’s hand as smoke envelops all of them and they're all back in the living room.
“Finally!” Changbin cheers before quickly running off to his room to change. “Come on, Mn.” Felix gently tugs Mn’s arm and pulls him towards the stairs.
Mn goes to walk to the room he was put in before but Felix stops him, pulling him towards his room. “The others had to deal with my bat butt for most of the night before the gathering, it's only fair for you to do your part.” Mn laughs, letting him lead him the other way to his room.
Felix had dark blue blankets and a match canopy. On the wall across from the bed was a vanity with a mirror. “Oh shoot.” Felix quickly went over to the large window and pulled his curtains closed, tying and tucking them to block out any light. Mn goes to walk over to Felix as he goes into the closet but the mirror catches his eye.
Tilting his head more to bare his neck, he reaches up to the still visible teeth marks from Chan, his fingers gently touching the area around it as he smiles, straightening his neck as he looks down at the vanity surface, shy of his own reflection.
“My mom always said I’d never mark or be marked…” He speaks aloud, knowing Felix will hear him. “I feel so…happy to see this after constantly being told I don't deserve a mark, that I deserve to be alone and unprotected.”
Felix had slowed down on the knot he was tying on his curtains, looking over to Mn. He stares at the male for a moment, thinking something over before walking over to him. “Can…Can I show you something?” Mn looks up at Felix and nods. “Um, your- Our…sigil is on you but there's another part to it.” “What do you mean?” Felix hesitates. Should he really be first? Chan was the first for all of them but since he connected to Mn at the castle he's been wanting to kiss Mn. “I-I assume it was gold when it appeared?” “Yeah.” “Do…Do you trust me?” Felix whispered, stepping closer to Mn, so close that Mn gasps softly as his breath hitched. “Y-Yeah. I-I do.”
Felix admires Mn’s rusty eye color for a moment before speaking again. “Close your eyes.” He whispers and Mn listens. Felix hesitates again before gently pressing his lips to Mn’s. Mn gasped but didn't pull away. They were both hesitant and cautious but eventually they moved in sync. Felix carefully cradled Mn’s face, parting his lips to drag his fangs over Mn’s bottom lip. Mn automatically parted his own lips and did the same before Felix dragged his tongue over Mn’s fangs.
Felix’s arms moved around Mn’s neck when his hands finally found Felix’s waist. Felix’s fangs pierced Mn’s lip slightly and he proceeds to lick up the blood and Mn hisses before pulling back and looking down at his wrist, the sigil glowing a bright red and it stung slightly. “What…” Mn whispered in awe and confusion. Felix was about to tell him what he just did before an echo of a voice sounded from the first floor by the stairs.
“Felix, I know you didn't just do what I think you did!!” Mn looks out the open door then over to Felix, brows furrowing in deeper confusion and they walk out the room and down the hall to look over the banister to see Chan looking up with his hands on his hip. “What do you mean?” Felix played innocent and Mn looked between the two.
“You binded with him.” “Binded with me?” Mn asked, still confused but Chan spoke over him. “Felix, I can smell your arousal from the study, I’m not dumb.” “Sorry, Chan. Technically speaking you were the first to Bloodbind and bite him so all I’m really doing is going next before the others.” Watching Felix defend himself was adorable to Mn. He leans in, kissing Felix’s cheek and he stops mid sentence. “Can someone explain what Bloodbinding is?” “Y-You-” Felix blinked and shook his head. “Uh, Your parents didn't tell you? That's one of the things all vampires have in common.” “Felix, my parents didn't believe I’d ever find my own clan.” “Right, uh…”
He looks back down to Chan, the older vampire crossing his arms as he watches them, then back to Mn. “I’m gonna go see, Hyunjin, for a moment then I can-” “Felix, it's coming from him too.” Chan interrupted Felix, who's become flustered. “Well, I wasn't sure if- It's his first time doing this I didn't think-” Mn eventually understood what was going on and turned Felix towards him with a finger under his chin and pecked his lips. “I-I don't mind helping…” Mn muttered shyly and Felix stared at him with wide eyes before shakily nodding. “Y-Yeah, Yeah, okay.”
Chan shakes his head, a warm smile playing at the corners of his lips, as they step away from the banister and make their way back to Felix's room. He finds it both amusing and heartening that Felix is already captivated by Mn, almost as if the two were destined to connect. The ease with which Mn has also woven himself into the dynamics of their clan fills Chan with a sense of relief, knowing that this new bond has formed so effortlessly in their unique clan.

Happy Lee Know Day 🩸
© Jeri Rose | INPRNT
[Image Description]
Digital Realism painting of Lee Know from Stray Kids as a vampire, blood dripping from his mouth, running down his chin and neck. Lee Know is resting his back up against a tree, his glowing red eyes looking towards the sky. He's painted from a side profile, his lips slightly parted with his sharp tooth on show. Lee Know has a labret piercing, septum ring and a gold snake that wraps around his pointed ear. On the shown side of his face, three (3) newer scars go from his forehead to his cheek, and under that, 2 older, healed scars go over his jaw line. His long, dark blue hair waves and wisps around his face behind two small bite marks peak out on his neck. Lee Know's cheeks are blushed with light purple, star feckles decorate them, along with light opaque stars that go down his neck, in purple and blue. Lee Know wears a black and grey shirt, covered in blood stains and splatter. The woods around him is still and foggy, a full moon shines behind the fog that wraps itself around the trees behind him. A gold wisp enters from the left side, wraps itself around Lee Know and the trees and exits on the right side. The image under the cut is the same image without the blood.

Ever since Minho was turned, he’d had trouble dealing with his feedings.
For long periods of time, he’d settled on a vegetarian diet, hunting deer, or moose, or any possible animal he could find in the woods. Every couple of centuries, though, he’d be lucky enough to find someone fucked up in the head enough to let him feed off of them. It was something he tended to avoid, because he’d inevitably grow attached, and getting attached to someone that aged and eventually died was something that took an immense toll on the tiny bit of humanity that was left in him.
Sometimes, though, it was unavoidable. Or, at least, it felt like it to him.
The first time you crossed his path was during the very early morning, way before the sun rose in the horizon. Minho had just fed, he’d had so much the poor cow didn’t even make it. He was seemingly satisfied enough to go on for a few days without any more of his crimson sustenance, but the second you walked past him, his mouth went dry.
What an intoxicating scent, you had… Enough to cloud his reason completely, enough to make him turn around and walk after you–discreetly, of course. If years and years living in hiding had taught him anything, it was the art of discretion.
Minho knew it was wrong. That what he was doing was beyond creepy and immoral, but he needed to know who you were, he just did. So he followed you until you made it to a building, a new bakery that had settled in town just last week.
Soon after, the smell of baked goods started to emanate from the building’s chimney. It was pleasant, but nothing compared to the smell of you.
Minho left the place shortly after that, right before the sun started to show his head in the sky, and, as he walked the familiar paths to his manor in the outskirts of the town, he figured it was time for him to open himself up again. Now, it was just a matter of courting you, in hopes that you’d give him the time of day.
Trying to get someone’s attention while being a creature of the night wasn’t exactly easy. That was something Minho quickly came to find out after he turned. Which was why, the only times he was able to see you was either in the early morning when you went to your bakery and started preparing your goods, or in the late evening when you finally closed shop and made your way home.
The first time he tried to approach you, a friend of yours suddenly came out of nowhere, and Minho, admittedly, felt a bit shy, so he decided to try some other time. He’d lived for centuries, he was stronger, more dexterous than any human, and somehow he still felt uncomfortable around strangers sometimes. He often called this curse of introversion the remnants of his humanity.
He continued to try, though. He was persistent, but each attempt always failed. To this day, he found it both amusing and mortifying that the evening he finally got to meet you, to actually speak to you, was also the one he made a fool of himself. What was all vampiric dexterity worth for if he was still able to trip over his feet and fall face first to the ground?
Thankfully for him, you had quite the sense of humour, and his mishap simply made you laugh and offer your hand to help him to his feet. Your reaction made it so Minho didn’t feel half as embarrassed as he usually would, so it was easy for him to recover and start chatting you up.
After getting acquainted with you, Minho reached the same dilemma he always had in situations like these… He wanted you. Not only that delicious nectar that flowed through your veins, but also everything that laid under your clothes, and, most of all, your company.
He knew he had to reveal his true self to you, and if you wanted him back, vampirism and all, it’d all be smooth and dandy. However, if you didn’t, he’d have to make a choice… Respect your decision and leave you alone forever, or do as many of his peers did, to give into his instincts, drink you up, erase your memory, and carry on with his life as if nothing had happened.
When he had been recently turned, Minho didn’t even entertain the possibility of taking someone’s blood without their consent, but, after having lived as long as he had, morality was a concept that seemed to shift and drift into a muddier construct. He’d always thought that, if he ever did something like that, then that’d be the moment he’d known that tiny bit of humanity in him had left him completely.
Luckily, when he did gather the courage to tell you the truth, even if you had been a bit shaken at first, you clearly liked him enough not to care about it. If anything, you were immensely curious about it all. ‘How old are you then?’, ‘Were things as bad back then as they said?’, ‘Did it hurt?’, ‘Does it hurt now?’
Minho answered any and every question you had for him, as honestly as he could–although, ometimes, he believed that if he was too honest or too straightforward he’d scare you off. ‘I’m really old’, ‘They were even worse’, ‘It did hurt. A lot…’, ‘It does not hurt as much anymore. Only when I am hit by sunlight or when I have not fed in a long time…’
When you inquired about his feedings, he simply told you of his vegetarian diet. He didn’t want to go too deep into it. You didn’t need to know which animals he drank from, nor how his vegetarian diet made it so he had to feed at least once a week, as opposed to how human blood would keep him satisfied for a whole month.
He decided not to ask you to let him feed off of you just yet… Just like it happened when he wanted to tell you about his vampirism, he was also apprehensive of asking you to become his main source of sustenance.
After all, to Minho, not only did it feel like a major commitment, but, also, you could very well push him away due to the proposition, and he honestly wouldn’t blame you if you did. Although, losing you now was something he couldn’t afford. He was too used to walking you to your bakery in the very early morning, to spending evenings talking with you…
Regardless of his very obvious attraction, he genuinely enjoyed your company, and this was probably the most understood he’d felt after a long, long time. And also, to him, it felt like you were enjoying his company, too.
The first time Minho kissed you, it had been a spur of the moment thing. He was notorious for overthinking these things, for wanting the situation to be absolutely perfect, but you just smelt so good, and you looked so cute, and your heart was beating so fast in your chest there was no way he could’ve stopped the words from coming out of his mouth.
‘I really want to kiss you…’
Lame, basic, completely void of flourish or romanticism… But your heartbeat still quickened, he could hear your blood rushing through your veins, all the way to the utmost sensitive areas of your body. For a brief moment, he wished you could feel that reaction in him, too. He was certainly feeling it–or, at least, something akin to it, even when his body had long since been incapable of showing it.
‘Are you sure? I am no longer chaste…’
How ludicrous. As if something as trivial as that mattered to him. He’d lived for so long, he’d realised chastity was on its own a ridiculous concept. Almost no one was chaste after reaching a certain age, either because of the thoughts in their heads or the actual physical implications of the fact. Which was exactly what he told you.
If Minho’d had a working heart, he was sure it would’ve leaped out of his chest the second you pulled him to you for a kiss.
Your lips were soft, warm, they had a faint taste of strawberry–surely from one of your jam-filled pastries–and an undeniable taste of you. As he kissed you, as he held you close to him by the waist, Minho realised he was cursed now.
There was no way he wouldn’t be bound to you after this, after savouring the feeling of your warmth against his body, of your soft flesh under his hands… Things escalated further than he had ever expected that night, but he wasn’t going to complain, not when the sight of you, vulnerable, completely bare on his bed, was everything he could’ve ever dreamt of.
Minho knew then that he was ready to spend the next handful of decades with you, for as long as your mortal life lasted, or for as long as you wanted him to.
The first time you brought up the topic of feeding to him, Minho almost didn’t believe his ears.
‘Have you ever thought of feeding off of me, my love? Of drinking me up?’
It was not only the two questions themselves, but also the way you’d asked them, and your overall body language as you did, that made him think he was delirious. You didn’t sound scared, nor disgusted. If anything, there was a lingering curiosity in your tone, and, most importantly, a dangerous tint of sultriness, maybe even arousal, that hung to your every word.
‘Of course I have, my dear. More times than I could ever count…’
Minho had no reservations when he answered your queries. How could he, when you had shown him nothing but acceptance and love throughout these past handful of months? When you seemed to have absolutely no qualms when it came to his monstrous ways?
‘Would you like to do it?’
If he had the ability to, he was sure he would’ve fainted right then and there.
Of course he would like to do it. Scratch that, he would love to do it. There was barely anything he wanted more than to taste the scarlet liquid running through your veins, to have the undeniable taste of your humanity on his tongue.
What was seemingly an innocent walk along the stream in the forest had just turned into, quite possibly, one of the most satisfying feeds he’d had in centuries.
Minho sat on the ground, under one of the many trees that seemed to provide you two with an odd sense of privacy. Odd, because you were pretty much still in an open space.
Interestingly enough, even when Minho was a monster, he was still just as part of nature as you were, and, that night, all that booming life surrounding you in the forest simply protected you both; it let nature take its course.
With you straddling his lap, with one of his hands on the small of your back, and the other on the side of your neck, Minho pressed his lips to your pulse point, almost salivating at the minute thumps of your heart against his skin. You shivered in his hold, keeping your hands on his shoulders to maintain your posture.
“Do not make any sudden movements, darling. I do not want to hurt you…” He mumbled against the fragile skin, humming in satisfaction once you nodded. “If it becomes too much, say it. Or squeeze me if talking is too difficult, alright?”
You hummed, nodding again. Minho seriously hoped he’d be able to stop if you showed any signs of discomfort. He hadn’t had human blood in so long he wasn’t really sure how he’d react. Killing you was a very real possibility, he’d told you already, but you still wanted to go through with this. Being honest, he was just a weak man, incapable of passing up the opportunity when it was so boldly presented to him, even when it could possibly take your life.
So he delayed no further. He located the safest area he could on your neck, one where not too many important veins resided, and after a couple of tentative licks on your skin, his fangs enlarged. He lightly dragged them over your throat, letting you feel not only their presence, but also their sharpness.
“Take a deep breath. Do not move too much”, his voice was barely a whisper, but he knew you heard him clear as day.
As soon as you took that deep breath he’d asked you for, his teeth sank on your flesh, piercing the skin like it was a knife cutting room temperature butter. You didn’t move, but the moan that came out of your mouth was more than indication enough that you’d felt it all.
When your taste flooded his mouth, Minho couldn’t help but moan as well. It was all so much better than he had imagined. His whole body trembled, he felt as if he was burning up from the inside out in the best way possible, and he just closed his eyes to enjoy the taste of you.
What an absolutely delectable taste… So much so he had to remind himself to stop before it was too late. He was sure he had drank a bit too much for comfort, but you didn’t protest, you didn’t move one centimetre out of place, you just let him take as much as his heart desired, either because you trusted him that much, or because you had your own personal gains from this exchange–after all, no one just simply offered themselves to a vampire unless they had their own carnal reasons for it.
After soothing the pair of puncture wounds with his tongue, Minho finally pulled away from your neck to look you in the eyes. What he found was your blown pupils, your lips slightly parted as you took in ragged breaths, and even though his fangs were still very much at their full length, you immediately cupped his cheeks and pulled him in for a heated kiss.
It was messy, desperate, he was sure there was still some of your blood on his mouth that was now smearing all over yours, and he had to be careful not to hurt you with his teeth, but you didn’t seem to mind or care at all. You just kissed him like you needed him to breathe, and he let you indulge, mostly because he himself wanted nothing more than to have you as close as he possibly could.
Minho was constantly grateful that you’d crossed his path all those months ago, that you decided to move to this specific town in the first place. Not only did you let him drink your blood, but you also brought an irreplaceable spark to his lacklustre immortal life.
He tried not to think too much of the future, of the moment you’d inevitably pass away. There was no point in grieving this far ahead, he needed to remind himself that, yes, it would happen, but there were hopefully still many years before it did.
Enjoying the present was of the utmost importance. Especially when the present was you on his bed, with your legs over his shoulders and his mouth attached to your plump, warm centre.
All the sighs, and moans, and deep breaths, always reminded him you were here, you were his, and that you trusted him. You trusted him enough to bare yourself to him, to move in with him to his previously lonely manor in the outskirts of town, and to let him feed once a month from any area of your body he wanted to.
Feeding off of a human’s neck was usually the most traditional way, but when Minho found a suitable partner, he always liked to get creative. He’d admit there were spots he usually preferred, that he enjoyed much, much more than the neck. The softer the area was, the better. It was always much tastier, especially so once pleasure was coursing through his partner’s veins.
Thankfully for him, you had plenty of those softer, squishier areas, and you also had no reservations when he wanted to sink his teeth in them. He was trying his best not to get ahead of himself. Getting his fangs to their full length when he had his mouth between your legs was incredibly inconvenient, he genuinely didn’t want to hurt you, and he was certain that the sharp tip of his teeth would damage such a sensitive area of your body.
With a hand on your belly, and the other on your thigh, Minho let himself enjoy the taste of your arousal on his tongue. Your grip on his hair was tight, but you made no move to push him away; if anything, you were pulling him further into you, as much as he could be, keeping him there for as long as he’d let you.
Licking his way up to your clit, he sucked the sensitive nub into his mouth, parting his lips enough to flick it with his tongue. The moan of his name that spilled from your lips made his head spin. Your legs trembled with his motions, especially so when he finally brought his hand from your thigh close to your core to spread your juices with two of his digits.
Minho teased you for a bit, dipping just the tip of his fingers into you only to remove them a second after, increasing the pressure and pace of his tongue. At least, he tried to tease you… It was hard to do so when you begged so sweetly from him. Never in his long life had he enjoyed the sound of the word ‘Please’ coming out of someone else’s mouth as much as he did now, even more so when you called him your love, your darling, your heart.
My, my, my… Every time you addressed him as such he couldn’t help but feel the tiniest bit human again. If he had a working heart, he was sure he’d feel it swell in his chest. Yours, yours, yours… He was yours. For as long as you lived, he’d be yours.
When Minho finally stuffed those two digits within your warmth, the sight of your head falling back against the pillows was enough to let him know it was time. He was thirsty, and he was ready to give in to his primal needs.
He removed his mouth from your skin, but he kept massaging that sweet spot within your walls that had your toes curling with need. “Going to do it now, my love. Hm?”
You nodded. “Please, darling…”
Minho hummed, giving your clit one more affectionate kiss before he replaced his mouth with his thumb. If he could die, you’d be the death of him for sure.
He kept rubbing precise circles on the apex of your thighs, dragging his fingers within your clamping walls. At least, as precisely as he could while he attached his mouth to your soft tummy. Already, his fangs made an appearance, it didn’t take much for them to whenever he knew he was about to puncture your skin. It was second nature at this point.
Sometimes, Minho liked to start with your belly. Yes, start. He’d developed a bit more self control since he started to feed off of you, so he used that to his advantage, to feed off of as many parts of your body as he could.
When his teeth sunk on your flesh, you exhaled a shaky breath. Oh, how sweet you tasted whenever his fingers were on you like this. He could not only smell your arousal, but also taste it on his tongue when he started to drink you up. It was intoxicating, fulfilling, it was absolutely everything to him.
Before he could get carried away, Minho pulled away from your tummy, swiftly reattaching his lips to one of your thighs instead. He repeated the motions, puncturing your skin, drinking your essence, soothing the wounds with his tongue only to move along to the next area.
By the time he was full, you were trembling, whining, begging for your release. So he cleaned the remnants of your blood with the back of his hand before his lips found their way between your legs once again. Minho tried his best to will his fangs to decrease in size, at least enough for his own comfort. At this point, he was absolutely sure you wouldn’t mind, if anything, it’d probably turn you own, but he still wanted to be careful.
As soon as he started to suck on your swollen nub, as soon as the pace of his fingers increased, unintelligible noises of pleasure fell from your mouth. It didn’t take long for you to finally find your release, swearing and saying his name time and time again. Minho loved to feel your warmth around his fingers, especially as it spasmed with the aftershocks of your orgasm. Somehow, it always made him feel even fuller than when he fed.
When he was sure you’d enjoyed as much of your pleasure as you could, he finally removed his fingers, and he simply kissed his way up your body, until his lips finally found yours. You sighed, a content sigh that had him feeling tingly all over, just as you hugged him close to you and pressed tired kisses on his lips.
“Feeling fine, my dear?” Minho mumbled between kisses, relishing the fast pace of your heart against his chest.
“Mm… Just a bit lightheaded”, you mumbled back, dragging your fingers through his hair, making him shiver.
After a few minutes of kissing, of reassuring words against the other’s skin, Minho pulled himself away from your tight hug so he could fetch you some food. It was important for you to replenish your body, the healthier you were, the more he’d be able to feed, but most importantly, the longer you’d live.
As he fed you your meal, as he engaged in conversation with you, Minho reminded himself once again how important it was to live in the present, to not worry about the impending future of your relationship. You were on his bed, laughing, smiling, joking about how he’d almost made you a colander tonight, telling him story after story of odd encounters you had with your customers, and, for now, that was more than enough for him.

🧛♂️ VAMPIRE! STRAY KIDS SERIES
Chris // Changbin // Jisung // Hyunjin // Seungmin // Minho // Felix
Being a vampire hunter not only was some families’ tradition, but some even claimed it was written in their blood as well.
Generation after generation, they were raised not only to fight vampires, but also to hate them with every fiber of their being. Obviously, you weren’t any different.
Raised as one of the most promising hunters, you have always managed to hide all your emotions behind a neutral and apparently detached expression, ignoring your victims pleas about being repentant about their ruthless actions.
«Vampires don’t deserve sympathy.» that’s what you’ve been taught: men and women which willingly decided to defy the rules of nature and life itself, yearning for immortality and therefore killing innocent people in order to feast on their blood.
That’s how you’ve lived your life so far, sharing a small, humble and cosy cottage with your friend Jarette, a hunter as well; since you and Jarette had always considered each other sisters and often worked together in our missions, you were rather surprised to know that the town’s Guild wanted you to go on a mission alone.
The mission didn’t seem particularly difficult: apparently, a group of vampires was not only the culprit of numerous murders, but also responsible for a significant numbers of theft.
Essentially, your mission consisted in patrolling the house of one of the richest families; to all the hunters to whom the mission had been entrusted, they had consequently been entrusted with different houses to be guarded for the duration of the night.
Quietly humming to yourself a song you heard few nights ago from some wandering musicians, you finished smearing salt on the marble floor, creating a perfect circle; it was the only thing that could keep vampires and other demonic entities away. With a satisfied nod, you turned towards the woman and the little kid she was protectively hoisting in her arms.
«As long as we’ll stand inside the circle, we’ll be fine.» you smiled, and the woman simply nodded at you, carefully lifting her dress enough not to smear the salt and ruin the continuity of the circle.
«If…» the woman started, only to immediately interrupt herself; she lowered her gaze on the floor, as if she was carefully choosing her next words, «Please, if anything happens, promise me you’ll at least save my son.» tightening your jaw, you nodded, used to these kind of promises.
For you, it was definitely the worst part of the job: making empty promises. Despite the fact that you somehow silently guaranteed her son’s safety, you weren’t in the position to do that.
No one ever knew how many vampires would have showed up, if they did; they could either show up alone, or with a backup. This was one of the main risks of your job, but still, you – and the other hunters, knew that it was the only way to tranquillize people.
A disturbing noise coming from the wide window on your left caught your attention, you instinctively flinched in discomfort, the noise seeming as if someone was scratching the glass; immediately, the little boy threw his arms around his mother, which leaned closer to your frame.
As fast as the noise started, it stopped, and you furrowed your brows, forcing yourself to take slow and deep breaths as you stood with a short dagger in your hand, waiting for the vampire’s next move. You were nervous, but you couldn’t give it away; even if you were used to vampires’ attempt to scare their preys, you still didn’t know when they would have attacked. It was somehow a psychological game, and you hated it.
The silence was deafening, and it was as if you could mark time with the beating of your heart; few seconds later, the window shattered in a billion pieces, and you noticed with horror how some of the broken glass fragments managed to destroy the salt circle.
«Oh, I hate when they do this!» you screamed to yourself, before quickly instructing the woman o hide in the wardrobe behind the two of you, «If anybody other than me opens that door, stab them.» you added, handing her a short knife you kept in your left boot, before giving her a quick push on her back; the wardrobe’s door closed and you immediately turned around, focusing your attention elsewhere since the wardrobe had an internal lock, meaning that she and her son should have been safe for a while.
The hate you felt towards vampire was also fueled by how fast they could move; even if you had been fighting for who knows how long, you hated to admit that once it came to physical fights, hunters didn’t stand a chance against vampires. The vampire was alone, and he easily towered over you. He was undoubtedly strong, and constantly looking at you as if you were food; the mockery you read in his eyes made you nervous and even angrier. You hated to admit it, but you were starting to lose concentration due to the fact that he was managing to get under your skin due to the fact that he kept countering your attacks, as if he could read your mind.
Panic pervaded your senses as the vampire roughly disarmed you with a quick movement and pinned you against the wall, hands around your throat in the unmistakable attempt to kill you in a slow and painful way; however, much to your surprise, it didn’t last too long.
The vampire let go of you due to the fact that he was being roughly yanked back by another boy, which didn’t waste time to stab him in his stomach, before tying his wrists with what looked like silver handcuffs; desperately catching your breath, you wondered if he was a hunter as well.
“I don’t thing he’s a hunter from the village,” you thought, “I never saw him before.”
«You’re lucky I was passing by, little one.» the boy spoke, and turned towards you.
«You’re one of them.» you spat, your voice coming out a little bit rougher due to the fact that you’ve almost been choked to death, his bright red eyes burning into yours.
«I don’t like being compared to this mud of insignificant misfits.» he said in a despising tone, using the tip of his leather boot to move the other vampire’s head which was still lying on the floor, unconscious.
Before you could question him further, he appeared in front of you and kneeled in order to look at you a little closely. Much to your dismay, you had to admit that the boy in front of you was so handsome he was almost otherworldly; big doe eyes were burning in a crimson colour, his hair were as black as a starless night and neatly styled so that it framed his delicate face, and his lips were plump and rosy – they undoubtedly looked kissable but you didn’t want to admit that to yourself yet.
«Checking out the enemy, I see?» he raised an eyebrow with a smug grin, and you felt your cheeks heathen in shame.
«Shut up.» you spat through gritted teeth, wanting to push him away from you but also completely aware that you couldn’t do much when you were confronting a vampire while unarmed; the boy chuckled, before reaching towards your neck with his left hand, which was enveloped by a leather black glove.
«It seems our goal is the same,» his voice was suddenly low and husky, and he blatantly ignored how you instinctively flinched away from his touch, «we’ll see each other again.» all it took for him was to touch a particular spot behind your neck, and your world went black.
Six months passed from your first encounter with the handsome vampire – Minho, and it pained you to admit how many times he actually saved you from certain death – despite the fact that you were one of the best hunters in your village.
Tonight was pretty much the same; contrarily to the expectations, the vampire showed up with a back up, and you had to face three vampires by yourself.
With a quick movement, you spun on your heels while lightly throwing in mid air the dagger you held with your right hand just to grab it with your left hand and try to stab the vampire while breathing a pained groan; earlier, one of his companions had clawed at your side, leaving you exposed, bleeding and suffering.
Somehow, you managed to take the vampire in front of you by surprise, stabbing him in the heart with your silver dagger; you fell forwards, placing your hands on your knees in the effort of balancing yourself as you were panting, your chest rapidly moving in the desperate attempt to keep up with your ragged breath. You didn’t know how you managed to take down a group of three vampires while being completely alone, but you were glad you could make it out alive with few injuries.
As you were about to collect your dagger, you heard an impressed whistle coming from behind you, accompanied with a slow clap of hands; you quickly spun around once again, just to recognize a very familiar figure.
«Minho.» you spat, taking your eyes off of him to finally collect your dagger and clean it using the vampire’s jacket.
«Little one,» he raised an eyebrow, smiling at you, «I’m impressed.» he stared to walk towards you, and before you could come up with a sarcastic retort, he cut you off, «Impressed at how you didn’t realise I saved your pretty ass once again.» you furrowed your brows, watching Minho tilt his head towards one of the vampire’s corpses on the floor; you got the hint, and immediately walked towards it.
Once again, much to your dismay, Minho covered your back while you were distracted, since you obviously didn’t have the habit to claw at vampires’ necks before stabbing them.
«I can do my job by myself.» you said through gritted teeth, and Minho simply chuckled, confidently walking next to you.
«Yeah?» he said, glancing at the wound on your side; you saw his red eyes glimmer with a different emotion, and you had to advert your gaze and stand up, putting a little bit of distance between the two of you.
For a start, Minho was a vampire – a noble from what you’ve heard, and you were a vampire hunter; you didn’t know what made the both of you refrain from killing each other, you just knew that more than once, Minho had intervened in order to help you in your tasks.
«Vampires chase criminals as well, little one.» he had said once, «you shouldn’t interfere with our authorities too much, I can’t always play as your guardian angel.» it has been his justification for its continuous appearing out of nowhere to defend you, sometimes bringing unconscious vampires with them, and some other times simply settling for killing them as soon as he got the opportunity.
Minho puzzled you; he never tried to hurt you, nor to get in your way. Even if you didn’t want to admit it out loud, he proved himself to be a great help, despite the fact that he kept teasing you about your “poor hunters skills”.
Another thing was the fact that between the two of you was an undeniable sexual tension; you lost count of the times where Minho had pinned you against the wall while keeping an unbothered expression and a satisfied grin just to prove that «you need to train more than this, if you want to win against me», and you lost count of the times where the two of you were so close that you were about to kiss.
Probably, due to your status, no one dared to do the first step; giving in to you mutual lust would have meant that one of you had to irremediably give up something, and for sure, that someone would have been you.
«Then treat your wound before it gets infected, little one.» Minho simply added, before vanishing in thin air.
«Were there more than one vampire or is your boyfriend into some kinky things?» Jarette chuckled to herself as she was cleaning and disinfecting the wound on your side.
«He’s not my boyfriend,» you immediately scoffed, «he’s a stupid vampire.» you clarified, and she chuckled once again, not giving you an actual answer.
Jarette was the only one you trusted enough to tell what was going on; of course, just like you, she had been wary and cautious about Minho at first, but eventually her opinion started to change.
«Maybe, some of them are good?» Jarette had said one rainy evening, while the both of you were busy cleaning your weapons.
«Jarette,» you immediately cut her sentence, placing the dagger you were holding on the table, «do you realize that what you just said goes against what we’ve been taught since we were children?» with a sad smile and a somehow troubled expression, she nodded, refusing to meet your gaze.
«Does it scare you?» she asked, her short knife long forgotten on the table as she was busy playing with her fingers in a nervous way, «The idea of being wrong and therefore having killed innocent people scares me, a lot.»
«It scares me, too.» you hesitantly admitted.
Since then, the two of you never actually brought up the topic again, but Jarette apparently found hilarious the idea of teasing you about your relationship with Minho.
“The night is dark and full of terrors”, you had been taught, but nonetheless you often ended up training alone in your back garden, your ragged breath and the sound of the steel knives sinking into the various training mannequins were the only sounds in the silence of the night.
«Now I know why you can’t fight.» an amused voice mumbled against your ear, and before you could turn around and point your dagger at him, Minho had effortlessly blocked your wrists next to your waist.
«What are you doing here?» you whispered back, nervously looking around; you knew that no one could have seen the two of you since your back garden was safely hidden from indiscreet eyes, but you could never be sure about something like that. After all, Minho was a vampire, and you were a vampire hunter.
«I actually came here with a very specific purpose,» Minho nodded to himself before furrowing his eyebrows, «But that can wait…» you let him take your dagger from your hand, only to gently place it at the mannequin’s feet. Minho walked back until he was standing in front of you, both his hands behind his back; you quizzically stared at him, wondering why he was acting so weird all of a sudden.
«Show me what you’ve got,» he said, «let’s fight.» his eyes were glimmering in the dark, and you scoffed, not bothering to voice your actual answer; after all, you’d never refuse an opportunity to physically fight the boy which was so incredibly talented at getting on your nerves. As you quickly raised your leg in an attempt to kick him, he effortlessly blocked it, harshly gripping on your ankle.
«Didn’t work,» Minho shrugged, almost mocking you, «try again.»
«My, my, little one. I’m starting to think you’re doing it on purpose.» Minho whispered as he had pinned you on the floor yet another time; it didn’t matter how many times you and him had been fighting, it didn’t matter how many times you did your best to catch him by surprise and tackle him down, in the end, you’d end up pinned on the floor, Minho either sitting on your stomach or some other times with his body pressed flush against yours.
While you were struggling to catch your breath, Minho looked like he didn’t even break a sweat, his hair being slightly dishevelled was the only hint that could give away the fact that you had been fighting.
«Yeah, you wish.» you didn’t know the exact reason why you were on the defensive every time he provoked you, but you were determined to absolutely not give away the fact that you found him attractive.
«Who knows,» Minho winked with a smile, before letting go of your wrists, leaning back so that he was once again sitting on your stomach, «there’s a group of newborn on the run, they’re probably headed towards your village.» Minho suddenly said while getting up, somehow signalling your training was over.
Furrowing your brows, you propped yourself on your elbows, the faint light of the approaching dawn colouring both the two of you and the landscape with warm colours.
«Why did you come all the way here to warn me?» you questioned, watching as Minho had started to walk away from you.
«Don’t get hurt.» he simply answered, before lifting his hand in mid air in a hint of a wave, and vanishing in thin air.
Could it be that he was worried for you?
Jarette wasn’t home, her mission wanted her to spend a whole week at the Capital, thing which not only allowed you to have the house for yourself, but also to think.
During the past days you’ve had thought so much about Minho that you were about to have a headache, your thoughts gradually getting louder to the point where you couldn’t stand the sound of your own voice overthinking everything.
The truth was, you were busy both focusing your hatred towards the vampires you were hunting and both keeping up your silly rivalry with Minho that you didn’t realize you might have developed feelings for him. But, how could you develop feelings for someone who you didn’t even know?
In the past months you had seen him almost daily, and despite he had never said anything about himself which weren’t essential informations, you knew that he meant no harm.
After all, Minho had countless opportunities to kill you, if he wanted to; however, he never did, not even during the few times you trained together. Minho was always careful to you, actually praising you every now and then and also explaining few – pretty much dishonest, tricks to disarm your opponent, along with some other things you had never been taught from your teachers.
No matter how much you tried, you couldn’t bring yourself to despise the other’s presence.
Night arrived rather fast, and Minho didn’t hesitate to show up; he didn’t look particularly concentrated, and judging by the dark circles under his glimmering red eyes, you deduced he was probably hungry. Taking advantage of the situation, your training didn’t last too long, since you didn’t hesitate to clasp his wrists together with silver chains.
As you walked in circles around him, Minho stood motionless, the fact that you managed to handcuff him was outrageous; you knew that he was following your movements with his eyes, not bothering to turn his head anytime you walked behind him.
«Who’s the weak one, now?» you asked as you came to a stop in front of him, your eyes shifting from his eyes to his lips. Minho simply rolled his eyes, thankful about the fact that the silver handcuffs weren’t actually hurting him, since they were hanging loosely around his wrists which were covered by the leather of his gloves.
«Are you planning on turn me in?» Minho asked, knitting his eyebrows in doubt, not doing anything to hide the fact that he would have been sad about your meetings coming to an end. Truth was, you would have never done something like that; you knew what the hunters did to the vampires they managed to capture and you absolutely didn’t want for Minho to witness any of it.
As you looked into his eyes, you realized that the nature of your feelings towards him was a haze that slowly began to dissipate; your gaze was fixed on his delicate features as the tip of your short dagger traced his jaw with a feather touch, and Minho closed his eyes with a sigh, not immune to the sting of the silver blade against his delicate features.
«I don’t know,» you admitted, «should I?» Minho’s gaze didn’t falter from yours, and if you were to be honest, you underestimated the situation; you thought that looking into his eyes would have been the same as any other day and you didn’t consider that you would feel your heartbeat suddenly quicken.
Honestly, you wondered if all it took you for realize the nature of your feelings for Minho was such a simple yet fundamental question: were you willing to protect him?
Never once you had mentioned his existence to the other hunters – beside Jarette, and so, deep down, you knew you already had your answer for a while; actually, the answer you’ve been looking for has always been there, but you had simply refused to acknowledge it.
Minho could hear the wild rhythm of your heart and somehow, it was as if he could hear your thoughts as well. Slowly, you took another step towards him, so that there was no more space between the two of you; hesitantly, you stood on your tiptoes, your lips brushing against Minho’s in a shy attempt of a kiss, as if you were testing the waters between the two of you.
Minho’s eyes were as wide as the moon, staring at you like he couldn’t believe if what happened was real or not; the secret hope that you would have stopped hunting people from his kind was as alive as ever in his heart, now mixed with the even more secret hope that you’d end up choosing him instead of your own kind.
Timidly, you adverted your gaze, misinterpreting Minho’s silence as a refusal; however, Minho was quick to trap you between his arms with a quick movement of his handcuffed hands, the silver chain now pressing on your lower back and pulling you to his body.
«Was that supposed to be your answer?» Minho’s voice was gentle; a sweet whisper against your skin, a stark contrast to the other times where he mocked you in the past; you were trapped, he was using the chain connecting the handcuffs to pull you body flush against his, and as you placed your hands on his chest, you realized that even if you could have chosen anywhere to be, you would have probably chosen the exact place where you were now.
Before you could actually nod, Minho captured your kiss in a passionate kiss which you immediately returned, and shortly after, you found yourself pinned against he wall of your house, Minho’s lips kissing you with the same fervour as if he had been anticipating this moment for centuries. You felt a brief sting on your lower lip, before Minho started to suck on it with a soft and yet satisfied sigh; as you felt the bitter taste of blood on your tongue, you realized that he was sneakily feeding from you.
The chain of the handcuffs was clinging against your back as Minho’s hands were on your hips, his left thigh between yours as he eventually started leaving nibbles and kisses along your neck; you forced yourself to snap out of your daze, realizing that not only you had finally given in to your mutual lust, but you also let a vampire feed from you.
«Minho,» you whimpered at the feeling of his teeth pulling on your earlobe; you gently pulled on his hair, happy to see that you weren’t the only one driven with desire, «Let’s go inside.» you added, before reaching out to take the handcuff’s key which was safely hidden in your corset.
Minho didn’t honestly gave you much time to catch your breath; the two of you barely made it until you were in your living room, getting rid of each other’s clothes along the away, before he eventually let you ride him while he was sitting on your armchair. By the fact that Minho had his head thrown back and his fingers sinking in the armrests, you realized that he was probably holding back, thing which you definitely did not want him to do.
Therefore, carefully balancing yourself on his shoulders, you began moving your hips in a slow and teasing manner, taking some time to move your hips in a circle anytime you were completely seated on his lap and purposely clenching around him anytime you moved in a different way; if you were to be honest, you didn’t know how long you could keep this up, especially because his moans and hisses of pleasure were such an addictive sound you constantly wanted to hear.
«What game are you playing, little one?» the mere fact that Minho ended the sentence with a strained moan was enough for you to stutter on the rhythm you had set, making you instinctively stop to study his blissed out expression, and as his cold hands snaked around you hips, you realized that you were deliciously close to your goal, «tired already?» Minho’s alluring eyes finally met yours, and his hands effortlessly pulled on your hips so that you’d start grinding on him once again, only that this time you weren’t the one setting the pace anymore.
Instinctively, you leaned down to kiss him, and it was almost if with such a simple gesture, Minho let go of any inhibitions he might have had; this time, as you were restlessly moving on his length, Minho’s right hand was constantly placed on your hip with the only goal to pull you towards him a little bit harsher than needed while he was lifting his hips as well, meeting you halfway each time you rose and fell on his twitching length.
Minho’s left hand was constantly travelling on your body, as if he was trying to make up for all the spot on your skin his mouth wasn’t kissing.
«Feed on me,» you whimpered against his lips, as you felt your orgasm approaching; Minho’s movements came to a stop, and he looked at you as if you had grown another head, «please.» you immediately added, your head filled with the desire of being his in any possible way.
«Are you sure, or is something you’re saying because of the heat of the moment?» Minho’s voice was gentle and caring, and if it wasn’t for the fact that you could feel his length repeatedly twitch inside you, you would have found the way he gently pushed your hair behind your back extremely romantic.
«I’m sure of it, you-» you mumbled, interrupting your own sentence as if you adverted your gaze, looking for the right words to say, «you’re safe with me.»
«It’s not the best time to get emotional, little one.» Minho smiled with a breathless chuckle, looking satisfied and somehow taken back with your answer. Eventually, Minho simply told you to stay still as his fingers quickly worked on your clit, with the only explanation that he wanted to see you as you came undone for him; in the same moment your orgasm washed over you, you felt Minho’s fangs sinking in the skin of your neck, instinctively making you curl onto him as the sensation of your orgasm was being prolonged for all the time he was feeding from you.
The fact that the blissful sensation was mixed to the fact that Minho still didn’t come ended up stimulating you once again, especially when somehow, your fingers ended up on your clit, replacing Minho’s as he was focused on feeding from you.
It was something you couldn’t describe with words, and needless to say, no one of your previous partners had ever made you feel this good; as Minho’s tongue repeatedly licked over the bite marks he left in the attempt to make them heal faster, you felt your thighs shake, and another orgasm washed over you in a totally unexpected way – both for you and for Minho, triggering your lover’s orgasm as well.
«Where are you going?» Minho watched with furrowed brows as you were trying get up from the armchair, despite the ache in your thighs.
«Uh,» you mumbled, looking back at him while collecting your thoughts, «Don’t take it personally but your face doesn’t exactly scream “cuddles after sex”, so I figured I should get up…» Minho simply stared at you as if you were a ghost, before eventually erupting into a laugh, holding your wrist and tugging you on his lap once again; immediately his hands were around your waist.
«Don’t tell anyone,» Minho whispered as if it was confessing an extremely dangerous secret, «but I love cuddles.»
«I swear, you’re doing nothing in trying not to make me fall for you.» you whined, staring at the wall and eventually readjusting your position, so that you’d lay your head in the crook of Minho’s neck.
«Do it, then,» due to inertia, your head followed his shoulder’s movement as he shrugged; your eyes widened and your heart picked up pace once again, as you heard him say, «Fall for me.»
Minho ended up staying the night, and leaving before daylight – and Jarette, came.
One week later, Jarette was frantically running back home with the only goal to find you; she ran into your room, not bothering to knock, and you watched your friend with a confused expression.
«Hi?» you tried, waiting for her to catch her breath and explain herself.
«I’ve got some news, but you won’t like them.» Jarette said, her breath still uneven; you nodded, urging her to go on, «Promise me you won’t freak out…» she said, «They caught Minho.» you didn’t hear what she said next, because you stood up, and ran towards the village’s square.
It took you all your strength not to run next to the village’s chief and beg him to let Minho go, especially since you realized by the way he had been tied up that he had been tortured. Minho’s gaze shortly met yours, and your heart sank at the fact that his expression didn’t change; he was blatantly pretending not to know you in order to protect you, but in that moment, you couldn’t care less.
As you were about to walk your way out of the crowd, two different hands stopped you: one gently pulled on your elbow – you easily recognized Jarette’s touch, while the other was placed on your shoulder. Immediately, you turned around to see an unfamiliar face, his hair dark brown and his features just as handsome as Minho’s. Your gazes met briefly, and as your eyes met glimmering red ones, you realized that he was probably Minho’s friend; he tilted his head back, and you noticed that there was a small group of vampires sitting on a house’s rooftop, not actually bothering to hide their presence.
The fact that Minho wasn’t alone and was clearly about to be rescued made you momentarily feel better, but your happiness ended up being an incredibly fleeting feeling, as you heard Minho’s sudden pained groan.
«He is the responsible of the attacks!» one of the hunter said, before he turned towards the village’s chief, «He’s the one that killed your daughter, yesterday night.»
Clenching your fists, you gritted your teeth at the point you were probably going to have a headache; you knew Minho’s friends had everything under control, but you couldn’t shut up. As the village’s chief ordered his immediate execution, you pushed your way in front of the crowd.
«He is not the culprit.» you said, successfully capturing everyone’s attention, Minho glanced at you, his face unreadable.
«Shut up, human.» Minho sighed, faking a disinterested tone even if the truth was that he was terrified that you’d get yourself killed as well.
The village’s chief was quick to ask you what you knew about the matter, and you tried your best to ignore the murmurs shared among the people watching; you realized that you didn’t have a plan, but perhaps, you could suffice as a distraction and actually help Minho’s friends.
«I know he didn’t kill the chief’s daughter because he never walked past the village’s borders.» you said, sure about your intentions to protect the man you loved, «And the reason I know, is because I was with him.»
From there, it happened as a blur; the chief ordered to execute you as well, claiming you were a traitor, but luckily, Minho’s friends immediately intervened, taking advantage of the confusion created by the people which were screaming, in order to take both you and Minho and run away.
Less than two hours later, you found yourself in the vampires’ shared mansion, taking care of an unconscious Minho.
«He’s going to heal soon, don’t worry.» one of them – Chris, reassured you, and you simply nodded, your hand never letting go of Minho’s. Slim arms circled your waist, and you relaxed, leaning back into Jarette’s comforting embrace.
«You still have to explain me why you came along,» you wondered, «You’ll be considered a traitor as well.» Jarette chuckled to herself, briefly explaining you that his one week long mission to the Capital was a lie.
«Remember Changbin?» she said, and your head snapped towards her at the speed of light.
«The, “my room is at the end of the corridor if you need anything”, Changbin? That Changbin?» you shrieked, pointing to the general direction of the vampire’s room; Jarette nodded shyly at you, and you playfully hit her arm, offended about the fact that she kept something like this a secret.
«We met recently,» she explained, «he’s-»
«Please,» Minho’s pained groan interrupted the two of you, «I’m not ready to overhear the two of you talking about eventual feedbacks on Changbin’s dick.» with fatigue, he propped himself on his elbows, and Jarette politely left the two of you alone and you helped Minho rearrange his position on the cushions, carefully avoiding to touch any of his wounds.
«Where did that brilliant idea come from, you idiot,» you expected to be scolded from him but, contrarily to the expectations, Minho’s words were full of concern, «don’t do it, ever again.» you didn’t answer, hoping that he’d somehow got the hint that you were ready to do that if he ever got in danger again.
«Promise me.» Minho spoke gently, both his hands framing your face so that you had no choice but look at him; in the end, you gave in with a sigh after the fifth time he asked you not to risk your life again.
«I love you, stubborn vampire.» you admitted, running your fingertips on his delicate features.
«I love you too, impossible human.» Minho smiled gently, connecting your lips in a brief kiss.
If few months ago you were terrified about the option of giving up what you’ve always believed in for the sake of a vampire, now you were completely aware that if anyone ever gave you the possibility to turn back time, you would have always ended up choosing Minho.
One year later, you asked Minho to turn you into a vampire on a spring morning; as the cherry trees were in bloom, your new life begun.

Chapter 1
a plummet
You were previously sleeping in the early hours of the morning before you received a phone call. You groaned at the loud ringing beside you, rolling over to grab your phone as you cracked open your eyes. It was Jisungs mom.
"Hello?" You said groggily, rubbing the sleep from your eyes with a clenched fist. What time was it? You took a momentary glance at the lit clock on your bedside table. The numbers 08:00 AM flashed in white on the black screen.
"Ruby? Sorry to wake you dear, I just needed to call you." Jisungs mom, Han Yuseo, spoke. You frowned at the tone of her voice. She sounded- troubled, which definitely was a stark contrast to her usual bright and bubbly voice.
"It's okay- why did you call? Is everything okay?" You said, a pang of worry forming in the centre of your chest. You know, the one that makes your thoughts spiral into a deep hole that consists of nothing good. She hadn't even said anything yet and here you were, overthinking as always.
"I was just calling to see if you had spoken to Jisung today? He didn't come home." Yuseo spoke, the last part coming out in a hushed, strained voice. You felt your heart plummet into the pit of your stomach. Jisung always came home. He knew how much his mom worried about him. Even if he wasn't coming home that night or day, he'd always call or text prior.
"What do you mean he didn't come home? He was there yesterday morning, right?" Your voice came out strained, practically mimicking her own. You tried your best to keep your breathing steady. You're sure everythings fine. It has to be. It's Jisung for god's sake. He had to be okay.
"Yes, he left for work yesterday morning at- 6, I think.. He hasn't called or texted me since. Have you spoken to him?" She added. You could hear her voice trembling, it made you want to tell her everything is okay and that you're sure Jisung is okay. But you're not a hypocrite, and you certainly hated giving false hope. You had no idea what was going on.
"No, I haven't, I'm sorry Yuseo.." You said with a shaky breath, not wanting to disappoint the woman. Your stomach churned with anxiety as you spoke up again.
"I'll try to contact him and let you know if I get anything, okay?" You added on, trying your best to be reassuring, to sound like you weren't also spiralling out of control into thoughts any person would pray to never come true.
"Thank you, Ruby.. I'll talk to you later" She spoke. You could practically see the tears brimming on her lash line, her voice quivering with fear.
As you were about to hang up, you spoke up again, your voice wobbling subtly. "Yuseo?"
"Yes dear?" She responded, her tone low and fearful.
"Everything will be okay. It's Jisung." You replied, reassuring her the best you could whilst letting out a small chuckle at the thought of the man. He was anything but the type of person to get into trouble.
"I'm sure it will." Yuseo mumbled back before the line beeped, her presence disappearing. The quietness of your dimly lit room weighed down on you, leaving you to deal with all the troubled ideas forming out of your own will. You took a deep, trembling breath as you attempted to ground yourself, grabbing the water you always had on the bedside table and taking a few sips.
You re-opened your phone, deciding to try to give Jisung a call. You closed your eyes as the phone rang against your ear, silently praying for him to answer, to hear his voice calling out to you on the other side. After a few rings, it went silent. Had he answered?
"Jisu-" You began, hope filling you before the sound of the voicemail automated response cut you off, that feeling immediately dissipating into the abyss. You let out an unsteady sigh, staring down at the phone in your slightly weak hand. As the response finished, you knew you had to leave a voicemail.
"Jisung? Where are you? Please, just call me back when you hear this. Your moms worried, so am I. Bye.." You spoke, your voice a little frantic.
You didn't get a response back that day. Or the next, and not the day after that. It didn't matter how many voicemails you left, none of them were returned. You didn't even know if he was just ignoring you, or if something truly terrible had happened. Obviously, you had hoped for the latter. But not everything you hope for comes true.
Days passed by slowly. The hours were long and torturous as you grew more and more worried everyday. Soon, months had gone by, each one the same every time. You continued leaving voicemails, contacting his friends or anyone he worked with to try and get even just the smallest, most simplest piece of information about him that they remember from the day he disappeared.
You kept in frequent touch with Yuseo and the rest of Jisungs family, often giving them comfort and reassurance. Huh, maybe you were a hypocrite. You hated false hope yet here you were telling his family that he's okay. You knew you were doing it more for yourself. Of course you didn't want to believe something had happened to him, he was your best friend. The one person who knew you the best. You couldn't recall a day where you didn't talk to him and now it had been months.
[ONE MONTH AFTER HIS DISAPPEARANCE]
Sudden gasps of air left your lips as you shot up in bed, my brain scanning over the excruciatingly painful nightmare that had ruined your sleep, again. It was the same one every night, Jisung being- Well, I suppose you could figure out what it was about. Although you had seen it a thousand times already and knew exactly what was going to happen, it never got any easier to witness. Of course it was just a nightmare, I figment of your imagination, of one of your worst fears.
It had only been a month since Jisungs disappearance, and you tried your best to work everyday to find him but it was so hard to leave the house, or even get out of bed. Saying you were depressed was probably- most definitely an understatement. His disappearance left a hole in your heart, one that screams to be fixed, refilled. But it wasn't possible without Jisung. It felt like a blackhole had formed in your soul, swallowing you whole from the inside out until you were nothing but thoughts. Sometimes you wished for that, for the peace of eternal darkness, but you couldn't. What if he was still alive? What if he came back and you were the one gone this time, except forever? You wouldn't- You couldn't wish that type of pain on him. You needed to be here for his family but you couldn't even be there for yourself.
You dragged a clammy hand down your face slowly, taking a few deep breaths, some turning shaky near the end. You hadn't allowed yourself to cry over this yet, and you wouldn't. If you did, you might never stop.
Your shallow gaze glared holes in the wall ahead of you, you didn't know what to do with yourself. You needed to get up and do something. Showering first considering it had been days since your last one. You physically grimaced at the thought. How could you let it get this bad in just a month?
Slowly crawled out of your bed, sliding off on your butt and onto the floor, dragging half the duvet with you as you sat with your back against the side of the bed. A small sigh escaped your lips before you crawled on all fours towards the bathroom attached to your bedroom. You didn't even have the energy to walk despite sleeping away all hours of the day and night. You finally mustered motivation to stand up once you reached the bathroom, walking straight into the shower with your clothes still on. The hum of the shower filled the room before splattering water followed, spilling down your body and soaking you and clothes, the fabric immediately sticking to your skin.
You must have stayed in there for at least an hour because by the time you came back to your senses the sun had finally risen, casting a warm glow into the bedroom and bathroom. Steam filled the room and your fingertips had become wrinkled. Slowly turning the shower off, you stepped out of the shower, water droplets still sliding off your skin and onto the mat beneath your feet. You peeled off the wet clothes, tossing them on the floor as they landed with a small squelch. Sounds of scrubbing bounced off the walls as you brushed your teeth, then combing through your tatted hair that was previously tied up in a pony, the same one you tied up a week ago. Of course you shouldn't brush your hair wet but at this point you didn't care.
Once you regained some more motivation, you got changed into appropriate clothes for work, deciding you should get out of the house. Maybe you would feel better when surrounded by a distracting environment. Even though your work was about Jisung..
You strolled down the street towards your usual bus stop, headphones placed over your still slightly damp hair. Thoughts swirled around your head, thinking about what you would do today, who you would talk to - basically every possible scenario and its outcome. Once you had finally got onto the bus - sitting down in your usual seat in the back at a window - you scrolled through the mass amounts of missed calls and messages from your best friend before looking at the most recent ones.
JiJi🐈
Monday 16:49
how are you holding up?
you still haven't responded to any of my previous messages
please be okay, i'm always here
are you okay?
Monday 18:34
you can always talk to me you know? i wont judge you
Monday 21:56
ruby please answer i'm worried
Tuesday 12:23
please call me or even just text back? i love you
The 10th sigh of the day slipped past your dry lips as you read the messages she had left. You felt bad leaving her to worry about you for so long, you hated when people worried about you. Pressing the call button, you listened to the ringing through your headphones. It rang twice before her voice came through.
"Hey Yej.." You mumbled, resting your head on the bus window beside you.
"Ruby?!- Oh my god I am so happy you called, are you okay? You were unresponsive for weeks!!" Yeji rambled down the phone loudly. You winced at her loud voice coming through the headphones, lifting a hand to pull one of the sides off your momentarily and placing it back down once she went quiet.
"Yeji, I'm okay- I'm sorry for going offline, can I see you after work?" You spoke quietly, trying to refrain from closing your eyes due to the tiredness running through your body. You had no idea why you were tired, you had been rotting away in bed for over a week.
"What- You're going to work? To do what?-" She replied.
"And- yeah okay, I'll meet you outside the station." She finished off. You heard her sigh over the phone. You knew she was worried about you, but you were here now, and you were fine. Kind of. Not really.
"Okay sure, and yes I'm going to work. I have to do something or I'll probably stay cooped up in bed for the rest of my life." You spoke back, a small chuckle leaving your lips even though you weren't exactly joking. You would have stayed in bed longer if you weren't hit with the real reality of the fact you needed to do something about finding Jisung instead of helplessly hoping he would just magically re-appear.
"Okay- Well, I'll see you later Ruru, Stay in touch?" She said, her voice full of hope and concern. You knew she wasn't really asking, more-so telling you to.
"I will." You replied back shortly before hanging up just in time for the bus to approach your stop. You shuffled off the bus, heading down the street towards the station. Walking inside, your co-workers casted double glances at you when they realised it was actually you before turning back to whatever they were doing or whispering to the others about your sudden return. It was immature to say the least, but you would probably do the same if it was to be the other way round. Afterall, you hadn't shown your face in a month, or even talked to anyone. Not even your boss.
AN; WAHHHHH first chapter done! is it good? is it the best thing you've EVER read? of course it is im just amazing right? joking, joking. i hope this was a good start to the story and not too quick of a dive in. i didn't want to make a big chapter lingering so i thought jumping right in would be a good way to get ur attention... i hope it worked.. anywayyy, the second chapter is called 'a new face', can you guess who it is? heheheh
let me know your thoughts and feelings about this :3

100 Years Older Part 2
Summary: Y/N a young woman fascinated by gothic romance, begins her studies at Oxford University. She encounters a mysterious and alluring young man named Minho. As their friendship deepens, Y/N becomes incredibly drawn to Minho’s enigmatic personality and dark secrets.
Part 1 [found here]
Y/N, mesmerised, watched him play the violin. The music was haunting, beautiful, and strangely familiar. As he finished, he looked up, his eyes meeting hers. A slow smile spread across his lips. He was expecting her. "You followed," he murmured, his voice a low rumble. "I couldn't stay away," she replied, her voice barely a whisper. A slow, enigmatic smile spread across his lips. "You're drawn to the darkness, aren't you?" Y/N nodded, her heart pounding. "I am." "Then you've come to the right place," he said, his voice laced with a hint of danger. As the days turned into weeks, Y/N found herself increasingly drawn to Minho. His enigmatic nature, his dark, brooding beauty, and his undeniable intelligence captivated her. She yearned to understand him, to unravel the mysteries that lay beneath his icy exterior.
One evening, as they walked along the river Thames, the moon casting its silvery glow upon the water, Minho stopped abruptly. "You're falling for me, aren't you?" he asked, his voice barely a whisper. He found it quite amusing. Y/N's heart skipped a beat. "I... I don't know," she stammered. He chuckled, a cold, mirthless sound. "Don't deny it, Y/N. Your eyes betray you. So does your heart." "But..." she began, unsure of how to continue. "But what?" he asked, his voice sharp. "Do you know what you're getting yourself into?" "I don't care," she replied, her voice filled with defiance. "I want to be with you." Minho's eyes darkened, a storm brewing within them. "You don't understand," he warned. "I'm not like other people. I'm dangerous, unpredictable, and capable of things you can't even imagine." Y/N, undeterred, met his gaze. "I'm not afraid," she said. "I trust you." A flicker of surprise, perhaps even admiration, flashed across his face. "Trust is a dangerous game, Y/N," he said, his voice low. "It can lead to heartbreak and despair." Despite his warnings, Y/N's feelings for Minho grew stronger. She was drawn to his darkness, his intensity, his enigmatic nature. She saw the man beneath the monster, the sensitive soul hidden beneath the icy exterior.
One night, under the inky blackness of the Oxford sky, Minho pulled her close, his lips brushing against hers. A jolt of electricity coursed through her veins. His kiss was a whirlwind of passion and danger, a taste of the forbidden. "You're mine now," he whispered, his voice a low growl. Y/N, lost in the moment, could only nod. She was his, body and soul. However, as their relationship deepened, so did the dangers. Y/N began to experience strange occurrences, inexplicable visions, and a growing sense of unease. She realized that Minho's world was far more perilous than she had ever imagined. One fateful night, as they explored an ancient crypt, they were attacked by a creature of darkness, a creature that seemed to be drawn to Minho's power. In the ensuing chaos, Y/N was injured, her life hanging by a thread. Minho, fueled by a primal rage, confronted the creature, a battle of ancient forces that shook the very foundations of the crypt. The air crackled with dark energy as they fought, their clash echoing through the silent corridors.
In the end, Minho emerged victorious, but at a great cost. The creature had inflicted a deep wound, a wound that threatened to consume him. As he held Y/N in his arms, his strength waning, he confessed his darkest secret. He was not merely a vampire, but a creature of ancient evil, a being born of darkness. Y/N, her heart heavy with sorrow, knew that she had to make a choice. She could choose love, a love that could consume her, or she could choose life, a life without the man she loved.
As the dawn approached, casting its first rays of light upon the ancient crypt, Y/N made her decision. She chose life, a life filled with hope and the promise of a future. With a heavy heart, she said goodbye to Minho, leaving him to his eternal darkness. As she walked away, she turned one last time to look at him. He stood there, a solitary figure against the backdrop of the rising sun, his eyes filled with a mixture of love and despair. She knew that she would never forget him, the man who had stolen her heart and shattered her world. In the aftermath of her encounter with Minho, Y/N struggled to return to her normal life. The memories of their time together haunted her, a bittersweet reminder of a love that could never be. She found solace in her studies, pouring her heart and soul into her academic pursuits. However, the darkness that had once threatened to consume her had left its mark. She was no longer the same innocent girl who had arrived at Oxford. She had seen the true face of evil, the depths of human depravity. Yet, she had also witnessed the power of love, the strength of the human spirit.
As the years passed, Y/N continued to grow and evolve. She became a renowned scholar, a brilliant mind with a deep understanding of the human condition. She never forgot Minho, the enigmatic vampire who had changed her life forever. But she also learned to let go, to move on, to embrace the future. And so, the story of Y/N and Minho, a tale of love, loss, and the eternal struggle between light and darkness, continued to echo through the ages, a haunting reminder of the power of love and the fragility of the human heart.

──────────────────────
A cold, soft breeze ran through your hair, the smell of the water from the river under you tickling your nose. The clashing sounds echoing through the night couldn’t be heard however. You couldn’t hear anything other than your pulse pumping inside your ears. Everything started to turn into a blur before you. You knew this place, it haunted your mind from the moment it happened, turning into an unforgettable memory. You wished to look down, knowing what you would see if you would did so, but everything started to swirl around you. The starry night and the Moon became just a small spot, circle of colors. They let you take in their light, shining down at you, till everything turned clearer, yet darker.
From the small spot that was once the moon became a mere dot, a freckle. You watched the colorful streaks turn into black and white. You couldn’t breathe for a moment, mind too slow to fully take in the changes of scenery before you. Everything that you just saw turned into a pitch black darkness. Your memory was thrown away, too far back into your mind, though the only piece left from it stood there so close to you.
The man’s eyes once blue and vibrant were now an hauntingly white, black pupils staring right into yours. No breeze, not even a whiff of air was felt on your skin, the only air that they was in your lungs. You could feel them expanding, your mouth hanging open to catch a deeper breath. Your eyes fell down to the freckle under his eye and back to his unemotional stare. That wasn’t him…
But his touch felt like his…
You looked down at your hand, sickeningly paler to your usually toned skin. Your world turned dull again it seemed. When you looked into the palm of your hand, you watched as fingers, not your own, appear from the darkness before you. You could feel his body so close to yours, but why did it feel like he wasn’t there at all? You watched the fingers trail over your opened hand, every dip and every wrinkle and then even in the darkness where no light there was, on a ring finger of his hand, glimmered the red stone right back at you. You choked at the color, so vibrant that it blinded you. You knew the ring, the fingers, the hand now holding yours, but it didn’t feel like his.
The softness of his touch — you couldn’t feel it. It was like his hand went through yours, like a ghost. He wasn’t here…you were alone. Your lips parted in a painful gasp, but it never was voiced. A tugging feeling at your heart, so familiar — you were alone. Your eyes started to sting, the vision of your hands joined together just a blur again. Everything around you felt like fire, the void seeped through you like millions of small knives, nitting and licking at your skin.
A tear rolled down your cheek. You felt the loneliness, the pain, realizing he wasn’t real. You were in denial as you looked up at him. His pale skin, white eyes, still glaring right at you. You watched his lips, waiting for even a small noise to come out of them, but nothing. You wished to hear his honeyed voice, watch the way each syllable rolled out of his mouth with a meaning. His hand holding yours — you couldn’t even feel it as your tearful eyes looked at him in wonder.
His right hand raised to your face, staying there for a moment. Every passing second felt like torture to you in this immense darkness. Your heart beated so fast you could hear it echoing around you, filling up this awful silence. His hand trailed down, like cutting through the thick barrier between you two, before it stopped at your neck. Your face turned into horror. His fingers just briefly touching your skin, were painted red.
Your eyes were wide. The thick substance coating them was bright, glistening in the strange light around your bodies. Your heart jumped wildly in your chest as your own hand immediately went to your neck. Your hand raised to your face, shaking, blood pooling into the palm of your hand and trailing down your arm. A sudden shift, pain ran up your body, all the way to the spot on your neck. Your mouth opened in a silent cry, knees buckling beneath you and you couldn’t stop yourself from falling onto them.
Shock, pain, fright and most of all confusion overwhelmed your whole mind. The last bits of air left in your lungs vanished, only leaving you with your lips parted. You don’t hear the way you fell down nor your gasps for oxygen, only your heart beat and whispering…You exchanged yourself to grasp onto him, but you only fell forward as you were met with thin air. You could feel the blood from what seemed like a wound on your neck, trailing down your chest. You couldn’t stop it.
You were alone…he wasn’t there. Those hushed whispers grew louder in your ears, so loud it slowly overlapped the sounds of your pulse. You felt chills run down your spine, not from the pain or your fright, but from the feeling of two sets of eyes watching you from afar…Your tears had stopped by then, so in pain that you couldn’t do anything other than to slowly turn your head to look behind you.
Your chest kept rising wildly, blood pumping through your veins, ready to burst. There wasn’t any light, but you could see it. You could see the dark figure behind you. It was a mass of darkness so deep that the scenery around you almost seemed dull. But you could tell that the darkness didn’t came from nowhere, it came from the person. It was a silhouette of a tall being, it radiated evil, but in a way you couldn’t fight this pull, the hold it had on you. You were frightened, but you couldn’t look away. Its eyes shined at you, red in color, but also amber…then by a blink of an eye it all changed.
You weren’t in the darkness anymore. You were back in the bedroom, laying in bed. Pain disappeared, the tears were gone, colors filling up your vision, but something stayed. A name was on the tip of your tongue. You wanted to call out the name in hopes it would safe you, but you seemed to forget it as soon as your eyes were met with the familiar figure. It stayed there with you, looking at you, piercing through your mind and taking over your own body. It looked at you with its red bloodied eyes from the corner of the room, before it slowly disappeared.
But you could still feel it. It called out to you, your eyes following its aura to the open door to the bedroom. The doors creaked open for you and you couldn’t do anything other than to follow. Your mind was wiped out from any thought, eyes empty. You didn’t feel the cold from the floor on your bare feet nor the roughness of the carpets. You could see its trails of darkness, creating a path for you to take and you did completely and blindly. You passed by doors, walked down the stairs, only set on following this person. Or was it even a person? You didn’t even wonder, you didn’t think, you only do what it says.
It was night, you could tell as the only light in your way were candles. You closed your eyes, took a deep breath and then you opened them again. You stared into the darkness, the same one you have seen before, but now it felt familiar to you. You stopped before an opened door, cold, stone stairs staring right at you, challenging you to take a step closer. You needed to, you felt like you needed to. Your hand grabbed a candlestick from a table next to you, a whisper of your name coming from the void before you. It was so quiet, but it lacked softness, though it only made your body and mind more eager to take a step further to maybe hear it again.
Cold and it got colder the more you descend down the curved stairs. It seeped through your dress, ruffling the dark layered material. Even more colder breeze, like a breath, ran through your hair. You didn’t feel the small stones and debris piercing your feet, your eyes were wide in expectation, glaring into the darkness ahead of you. The light from the candle danced wildly, the wind around you picking up speed, taking away even the one in your lungs again.
You didn’t need to breathe. You needed to only see, you needed to hear the voice say your name again. You felt like a puppet, your own feet taking you further down, like they knew where to lead you. At the last step, your feet were met with freezing, wet ground, the gloom wrapping around you. The light from your candle was the only thing separating you from it. You thought you needed to feel it on your skin, inside you, consuming you whole. You feel its presence again, forming out of the void before you.
You were in a maze, but in some way your body knew the way out. The light hit a stone wall and then another, glistening and reflecting the fire and you realized that they those were columns around you. They held this maze and your mind from crumbling. You could just feel it, right there…The two sets of eyes waiting for you at the end of the path. Their color was so bright and the wind around you decided for you that they shall be your only light.
The candle went out. You surrounded to the darkness that eagerly pulled you in. It was so close to you, you could just reach your hand out. You needed to feel it, your body needed to feel it. It called your name so sweetly, it lured you in, promising the most amazing things and you just couldn’t resist. Your body became his, just floating, but then you finally felt it. You needed to feel the pleasure that it promised you, but instead there was pain again.
It was coming from your heart. Your mind opened, letting in thoughts of confusion and realization. You don’t need it. You don’t need those things this mass of evil kept whispering in your ear. Your eyes blinked, clearing up your vision even if you still couldn’t see. Those eyes haunting you disappear and even if they should’ve been your light you feel relieved to not find them any longer. You don’t hear those voices guiding you, you don’t hear the heavy thumps of your heart, but you do see the light appearing before you, a new one.
It feels warm, but as you seem to come back to your own body, you can’t help, but feel frightened. You don’t want it — you don’t. A heavy breath leaves you as it comes closer and you at that release your need for air. You choke out, gasping, the sounds ringing in your own ears loudly. The light sways before you and you back away slightly from it, though something stops you.
You can see a silhouette of a person holding that light and with your rigid breathing your eyes well up with tears, blocking your way to see the person you truly needed. You stumble, but before you could fell back onto your knees there was something keeping you from doing so. Hands on your waist, his hands. There is the familiar coldness that could be felt even by the layers of clothing and you willingly let your weight rest into the palms of his hands.
You hear him, his voice, right beside your ear. The sound is blocked for a second, but the more he called out to you, the more clearer you hear. “Y/N! Y/N!” His voice sounded rushed, laced with his own fright. You try to breathe, you do, but your body till now finally seems to come back to you. You feel your muscles straining, heart beating rapidly from your gasps for air.
The light which you are holding shakes in your hold, you can’t even hold your own body let alone the heavy candlestick. It slips from your hand, loudly falling down on the ground — you don’t even feel the still hot wax on your skin. “What did you do?” Rasps out the man holding you. The voice, you know it so dearly…Your body is weak and so is his only by the sight of your injured hand, falling with you to your knees. You fight with your own weakness, it made your eyes fall shut for a moment, but your inner senses slowly start to rise back from the depths of your soul. His voice, you need to hear it say your name again.
He doesn’t know what to do. He is frightened by your pale skin, yet cheeks flushed — hot to the touch and your lips almost purple. You are so cold, your body is so heavy in a way it tugs at his heart. You look weak, your breathing is slow and steady now, however your heart is loud and that sound is simply suffocating. His wide eyes, look at your hand, raw and red and then back to your face. He holds you tightly to his chest, other hand softly caressing your cheekbone and even he jumps from your frozen skin. “Y/N.” He says your name again, calling out to you.
You hear him. A warm feeling spreads across your chest, eyes blinking open. “Hyunjin?” You say, mind repeating that name in hopes that he is actually here with you. Your eyes, tearing up from the cold air, look up and your heart swells as he truly seems to be here with you. His face is close to yours, long, dark hair caging you both from the darkness. Yet a warm light shines behind him and the more you look at him, the more you pull yourself closer to it.
“What happened? What are you doing here?” He says to you and you can truly hear him, his voice finally didn’t seem to be miles away from you.
Something comes over you — you feel his hand holding yours, fingers dancing across your skin. His thumb rubs small circles on your cheekbone — you can feel it. Feel his touch, he is here with you. You feel the way the stones on the ground dig into your feet and also your slow intakes of air. You ignore his question, looking up at him with wide eyes and slightly sitting up to take a closer look at him.
His skin, still white, but now seemingly warm. His lips and his freckle — your eyes stop at his. Your own search through them, blue vibrant color piercing you. “Is it you?” You wonder out loud, a small choked noise falling from your lips. “Is it truly you?” Hyunjin looks at you bewildered, shaking his head at your words.
“Yes.” He whispers, putting his hand behind your head to help you look at him. Your body still feels like a dead weight, but he feels small relief, because you can finally at least talk and see. However the way you gaze at him — you look at him with wide eyes, filled with an emotion he quite couldn’t place. “Why are you–“ He wants to know what and why, but you still let his questions be unheard.
“It’s you…” You breathe out, cutting into his sentence. Your own hand tightens its hold on his, but by that you jump out of your skin from the sudden sharp pain. Your eyes fall onto your hand, him letting you take a closer look, but still holding onto you like he is scared that you would just vanished. Though you are the one truly scared that he is just another fragment of your imagination.
Your palm blooms in red spots, skin raw, few specks of wax lingering on your skin. You almost hissed at the burning sensation, you didn’t even notice it till now. You grimace at the pain coming from your bones and muscles, other hand coming from the ground to fall onto your stomach. You let the small stones and dirt smudge onto your dress as your eyes look back to the end of the path. Nothing, absolutely nothing. You don’t feel eyes on you anymore, other than the man’s before you. No whispers taking over your mind, nothing. There is no one there…
You feel the hand still on your cheek, turn your attention back to its owner. “Y/N, talk to me, please…” Hyunjin voice is unsure, confused by your detachment. You look like you are not here at all, staring at him completely emotionless. However the fear you held in your red eyes is obvious to him. His throat is dry by the blank look you give him now.
“I think….I am starting to lose my mind.” You whisper back.
He shakes his head at your words, he is starting to panic. Your body screams in weakness, but also your mind. “Y/N, I don’t understand.” Hyunjin watches you closely, his hand slowly loosening its grip it had on you. You touch your neck, hand shaking and he just sits there for a moment, looking at the way way your wide eyes stare onto your fingers. “What happened? Please, tell me…” He speaks again, fighting the urge to not just shake you in hopes you would wake up from your trance.
“I don’t know myself…” You say, staring down at your hand. There isn’t any blood on your hand. There isn’t anything that would tell you that what you saw was true. You can’t believe that this was just your own head playing tricks on you. No, it wasn’t. There is no way…The dark figure is not here, but you can’t help, but still look around. There truly isn’t any two sets of eyes watching you from the void nor the feeling of his breath at the back of your neck. Was it a dream? Nightmare, though it felt so real that it made goosebumps appear on your skin. “Was I dreaming?” You ask yourself, quietly, but it is heard by the vampire.
Hyunjin followed your eyes, staring into the darkness with you, but finding nothing. Your words spark something in him. Perhaps you were only dreaming, but he himself could tell that wasn’t all. Dreams when you do remember them, can lead to something, they warn you. He can’t muster up the fact that if he wouldn’t be here, you could have injured yourself even more. He has a feeling that this dream wasn’t just any other. “You were sleepwalking, Y/N.” He says, but he also doesn’t want to except this truth. “Has this happened before?”
You shake your head, frowning at the pounding in your head from the small movement. “I have never done it before.” You say. You go back to the time you had something familiar happen to you when you were dreaming of him, but this was more serious. Were you really just sleepwalking? You don’t want to except that, but you did feel quite tired for these past few days and it seems like that it fell on you now.
You look at him and you finally realize how close you are to each other. He held your back by his leg, hand on yours and the other on your face. You blink at him at that, pulling a little away, because you are feeling again drowsy just by his touch. You already know that he is truly here with you and even if you really want to just let yourself fall on to his body, you can’t play with you heart like that.
“You are hurt–“ He states the obvious, pulling your burned hand close to you to have a better look. It stings more by just by looking at it, but you don’t really care about that as your attention is attentively on how he presses his thumb into your pulse, a habit of his. “What did you see?” He asks you.
“I don’t know…” You start, because you really don’t know how to describe it to him. When he appeared, he woke you up from it and also erased everything that just happened. You do remember just parts of it, but the feelings you felt back the couldn’t be repeated anymore. “I saw something — someone, I think. I was following it and it lead me down here…” You want to cry, laugh even at how crazy you sound. “I am going mad–“
“No.” He whispers again, calming you with his sweet voice. “Look at me…” You do by the help of his hand on the back of your head. You can feel his blunt nails, slightly scratching you and it almost feels like you could fall asleep again, but that thought repulsed you. However he doesn’t miss your droopy eyes, fighting against your tired body. “You need to rest.”
You shake your head, making you slightly wake up from your slumber. Sleep was always the one thing you looked the most forward to at the end of the day, but now you are too scared to do so. You are starting to think you are maybe also turning into a vampire by your lack of sleep. You just now realized how much you were missing out on sleep. You would go to bed late, wake up early. Maybe it was really just a dream, because you did have a sleep paralysis after what happened the first night you two met. You also couldn’t sleep... You think you can’t even tell what is real now, because how could you just imagine all of that?
You do know that there is a possibility that someone is actually watching you, but this seemed absurd. You didn’t have any control over your body. You lived in the moment that you can remember, but other than the few memories of your so called dream, you can’t remember anything else. Those amber eyes pooled with red however still haunt you, even now. They didn’t feel like the ones Hyunjin has, they were full of anger, just pure evil.
“Please, I don’t want to–” You say, not missing the concerned frown on his face. You really want to know what he is thinking about, of you at that. He didn’t seem to be that weirded out by your words or doings. Maybe he is also scared, but if so, you can’t tell from his face. “I am scared of falling asleep again.” You admit to him, pulling yourself up to your knees, only to groan in pain.
Your bones feel like they could just crumble under your weight any moment. He sees your struggle, the shaking of your upper body and how your face scrunches up. “Can I touch you?” He ask you, hands falling to his side by your movements, but they still linger around you if you would happen to fall over.
Your eyes momentarily widened by those words, maybe reading a little too much into it, because when you look at him you at that moment understood what he meant. You nod, almost just falling face first into the ground to escape your provocative thoughts. With your still cold skin, you can basically feel your blood rushing to your face that you immediately tug into your chin, but you just knew that you could still see it. He, to your relief doesn’t comment on it, even if he himself quickly realized his words right after. Maybe he should’ve said it differently, but why when he could finally see your face coming back in color.
His moves are slow, letting you know that you could still move away from him, but you only look at him in wonder. His hands fall on to the soft dip of your waist and you nearly pull away, because that touch feels so foreign. He helps you find your balance, digging his long fingers on to the soft rolls of your mid riff. You can’t fight those insecurities rising in you, because you know he can feel how round and squishy you are, though he on the other hand, he never felt anything softer. He cherish the fact you let him touch you like this — every time you did.
When your feet meet the cold floor, your legs jump, how could the cold ground not wake you up? Like those other time you let him carry you like this, your whole body was in his hands. You did wonder how he can lift you up so easily, but being a vampire probably meant that he can lift thousands of you. That thought makes you shiver as well as from the way he pressed your sides together, leaving his hand on your waist, dangerously close to your hip. You look at him momentarily and again you can’t look away from his striking blue eyes.
“What exactly did you see?” He asks you, head tilting down to meet your gaze. He still holds you firmly to him, keeping your shaking body stable.
You go back to the dream, eyes moving around the dark place you are in, only light being the one he is holding in his hand. Your own still burns slightly, the dark, purple fabric of your dress however cooling it down by its softness. “A dark figure, I felt it–“ You swallow painfully the lump in your throat, looking back at him and he listens closely to your every word. “Hyunjin, I am so tired…every time I turn a corner, I think it will appear. I feel it breathing down on my neck…” Your eyes go back and forth between his eyes and the darkness next to him, full of fear from just seeing another glimpse of it. “You must think I am crazy-“
You really do need him. You are going a dark way down, but he is in denial. “You are not, I believe you.” His words hit you, heart jumping at the tone of his voice, it slightly melts your worries away.
You are not sure if he is just trying to keep you calm, but after all that happened, you just can’t take these things so lightly. “What if it is trying to tell me something…” He definitely knows what you are thinking about that, he can’t lie that it also didn’t cross his mind.
Hyunjin’s hold on you tightens. Even if you don’t see him, even is he is in some way avoiding you for some reason you still need to ask him about, he is here for you. Every small tug of your lips, frown, it makes him tremble, ready to burn the whole world down for you just to smile again. “Y/N, I will not let anything happen to you.” He means it, but it felt like a lie telling you that, because something already happened and he didn’t know how to stop it…
“I am not as scared for myself as I am for others…please, don’t make promises you can’t keep.” Your own words hurt you, because you can see the expression on his face crack for a second. You just can’t lie about what you are thinking, seeing and feeling anymore. “You have seen what this person can do, maybe it is already taking over me–“ Your lip quivers over your own will.
He is quiet, because you are telling the truth about him not keeping promises. He doesn’t want to think about this horrible person trying to get to you, but how long can he pretend? He wants to give you everything good, he just doesn’t know how and that kills him. No one saw this person and now you maybe did, but he didn’t feel any presence other than yours. You were dreaming, but it must meant something, it didn’t seem like it was coming from you. Someone is playing with you and he can’t even imagine how this all must feel for you. It was all because of him…of his selfishness. He thought that it all would be easy, in a sense that you two would have time for each other and possibly fall in love. But that was just another fairytale in his head, how could he thought he could have it easy when he is vampire and you are human.
“You are cold.” Hyunjin says, stating the obvious yet again and it makes your mind shift back to reality. “I can feel your freezing feet.”
You in confusion look down at your said feet, only finding them pressing into his. You must be crushing him under your weight you thought, immediately putting your feet away, back to the ground. “Sorry.” You say, looking down bashfully.
“Don’t say that word, because we both know, I should be the one saying it.” You know what he means, but you don’t want to comment on it more. He takes a slow step forward, gesturing for you to do the same, but he basically pulled you by himself as he still keeps a tight hold on you. “Come, let me help you–“
He is still looking down at you, not even looking before him to keep his eyes on the path, but you do that for him, because you can’t meet his eye. His stare lingers as you take slow and careful stops. You feel heavy, but you will not surrender to your own weaknesses. The light he is holding in his hand gives you a minimal vision, just enough for you to see your feet dragging across the ground. You don’t even know what this place is, but it sure will be remembered. “Where are we exactly?” You ask, speaking your thoughts out loud.
Hyunjin’s eyes leave you to look around himself, like he had never seen this place before. In a way yes, it’s been a long time since he have been here and for a reason. “The dungeons.” He answers, keeping his answer simple.
Your eyebrows twitch for a moment, gazing into the abyss before you. “Dungeons?” You repeat, tasting the word on your tongue, chills going down your spine.
“Yes, it also was once a castle in my age, we build over it.” You can see that already this was everything you will get out of him. You didn’t think your innocence question could sparkle up something. His face is hard as a stone, eyes not meeting your figure, but his hand around your waist grips tighter. You don’t go further, because there is another, way more important thing that you just now you realized.
“What were you doing here?” You marvel over his profile, seeing his hard jaw softening at your voice. “You were here first.”
“I was looking for something.” Hyunjin answers and that he can tell you why, but now you do not need a further explanation.
“Oh and did you find it?” You ask, almost the ‘what’ slipping past your lips.
He doesn’t answer, stopping in his tracks to look at you. Your words get stuck at the back of your throat. His gaze is intense like always, but the way his hand trails over your waist to your back simply leaves you speechless. You can’t believe you are so moved by such a simple touch, but his are already intense to begin with. He towers over you, hair falling to his face and you at that notice how is hair is loosely put up. You have a full view of his long neck and collarbones — he leaves you again lost for words by his beauty alone.
“Can I touch you?” He repeats again and you can’t fight the small laugh falling from your mouth. It does die down immediately though, your throat dry.
“You already are–“
His eyes light up at your noise of amusement, even if it sounded quite small. Every chance of seeing a small smile on your face is blessing to him. Hyunjin asked for your consent for his own good, because if he would listen to his desires you two would be already in a way different position than the one he puts you in right now. His other hand puts the candlestick, he was holding to the ground, you watching him closely. You nearly choke at the shadow cast on his features, defying them even more. In your state of mesmerization you can’t do much other than to gasp softly as he kneels down before you, only to wrap his other arm around the back of your knees. Your head spins from his fast movements, air wiping you across your face as he picks you up with not too much effort.
You are in shock, looking at him, lips parted. Your faces almost bump into each other and you kind of wished he would tell you firstly why he was asking for your permission. Your side is pressed tightly onto his chest and you could feel his muscles ripping under your hand. Your eyes widened at that, pulling it away to your own chest to calm your heart. His long hair tickles your forehead as you tug your head down to possibly disappear in his body. You felt concerned, about him holding you, because even as a joke when someone tried to do that you would only hurt them. You feel warm inside now, because he didn’t look like your weight mattered to him — at least for carrying you up the stairs, you have to remind yourself.
Never you would never have thought that someone would pick you up like this, especially not someone like him. He didn’t huff or moan in displeasure, only a small breath of his move away the small hairs on your forehead head away. You were scared to move, because his lips would touch your skin if you would do so. You are not repulsed by that idea, but you can only handle this much. He keeps one of his hands on the underside of your knees, tips of his fingers touching your thigh. You remember how they felt on your skin, so soft and gentle with you. In a way it excites you more. You appreciate his patience with you, even if your time together might not be long.
You really do worry about your future more than your present. You should live in the moment and you do, just a little too scared about all of this new things you are experiencing. You are met with darkness again as he walks up the stairs, but there wasn’t any missed beat in his steps. The staircase feels narrow and you don’t even notice yourself how you press more into him to not hit the walls. In the dark you have enough courage to look at him or well try to, pulling your head up from your hiding, thankfully not hitting your head into his chin.
“Do you see in the dark? Like a bat?” You ask him.
His eyes are already on you, smiling softly at your wide eyes, trying so desperately to get even a glimpse of him. “Your questions are always so interesting, love.” His smooth voice hits your ears and you feel every word rumbling out his chest. “–but yes like a bat.”
This new information keeps your mind occupied, till you suddenly see a blooming light from the top of the stairs. You rest your head on his shoulder, just barely grazing it. Him holding you isn’t so bad after all, but that other night — it was too soon, too abrupt that’s why he maybe keeps asking for your permission. Someone holding you should feel warm, however his body temperature will always be otherwise, but you don’t really mind it. He doesn’t feel cold anymore, you think your own skin is even colder than his right now.
The light wasn’t that bright, but it still made your eyes sting, letting you truly see how much darkness you were put through. You didn’t like the dark, it scared you in some way, even before you met him. You somehow always needed some source of light next to you to keep you sane. He though only knew darkness, it was around him and in him — you were truly the only light he needs and will ever need.
He carried you to his workroom and you were silently thankful for the change of environment. It looked the same as you remembered, but it still left you amazed. He moved you further into the room, further than you have been before., however your eyes lingered on his main desk, before they went back to him. Every look of his you cherished in your heart, looking into his eyes, while slowly puts you down on a sofa. Your body dips into the softness bellow you in delight, completely exhausted. You don’t miss how his hands trail over your body before pulling away.
He disappears from your line of sight so quickly you almost have a whiplash. He turned into a blur before you. Small noises were heard from the back of the room, you curiously looking into that direction, but not for too look, because he is again there before you. You blink in shock at how fast he just moved. You have never seen anything like it, you didn’t basically, reflexes too slow to make anything out. It truly fascinates you.
“Let me see your hand.” His body falls next to you, the sofa too small for both of you, leaving your legs to press into each other. He holds out his own hand for you and you put yours onto his without a second thought.
You watch him press a cold, wet towel on your injured hand and you have to bite your lip at the pain. The cold fabric soothes your burning skin right after however as well as his soft touch. He keeps it pressed to your hand with his and you nervously rub in a small gesture of gratitude his skin with your thumb. “Why weren’t you there?” You ask him quietly, looking up at him through your lashes. “You never came back to the bedroom.”
“I did, but you were already asleep.” Hyunjin says, keeping his eyes on your hand. “I didn’t want to disturb you.”
“You promised…” You frown. The sadness in your voice is clear and when his gaze meets your face, you can see how much sorry he truly is. “You promised me that you wouldn’t let me out of your sight then why are you holding back?” He only keeps looking at you glad in the orange hue of the candles. “I started to open up to you…do you know how hard it is for me to do so?” You don’t hold back anymore, maybe because of all that happened moments ago, emotions still all over the place, but also because you can’t ignore anymore how his detachment makes you feel. You know that you are giving him mixed signals. Pulling away yourself and when he also does it you hate it. Can you even justify yourself that this is only because you are not experienced. “Maybe I truly don’t have much time left, you can’t say that I’m wrong–“ You say and you tell yourself that the stinging in your eyes is just your need for sleep. “I just want to spend it with you…” You mumble softly, choking out your words.
He moves even closer to you, suffocating you with his presence alone. You can’t describe it. Those other times you felt like this, could never live out to the way he makes you feel. It scares you, natural instincts telling you to pull away quickly, to not burn yourself again, but you can’t help, but take a small taste after taste. “Can you feel it? The tugging at our hearts?” He says and you breathe out in short breaths when he almost whispers those words to you. “Y/N…if they don’t let us be together, we shall fall together.”
Your face softens, heart swells, pumping wildly in your chest. “Then why are you pulling away from me?” You search for the answer in his eyes that seem to be deeper in color, pupils dialected.
He looks troubled, lips pressing together. “It’s hard for me to be next to you, the more I’m with you, the more I feel the need to–“
Your eyebrows rise in a realization, lips dry as you quickly continue his confession for him. “Bite me?” You say, sounding nearly unsure, but you already know the truth. He already told you multiple times, showed you in some way even. The more you two get around the topic, the more you thought about it.
You remember that in the dream, you feared him for that. Fearing he was just a creature that wants to take you, but as you did get to know him, it started to turn into something else. His lips on your neck, just barely grazing over your skin like yesterday — or maybe he would kiss the spot, before sinking his teeth into you. He would keep you close to his own body, melting both of your skins together, consuming you…your blood.
“But that’s not all, I can also feel your heart and I so desperately want to try its magic.” Said heart skips a beat, hurting from these intense emotions that it wasn’t so used to till now. “But what if they don’t see it either.” Hyunjin is now the one going back to future, face pulling into a grimace, in pain, looking down at your joined hands. “I don’t want to think about the fact that maybe in a few days, I won’t be able to hear it anymore. I know, I can feel you — how hard it is for you to open up for me, but I don’t know if I can be selfish enough to take a bite out of it.” You look at him with a face of disbelief, not being able to find an answer to such words. Your hand flies to your head, throbbing from all these thoughts. He looks up from your hands back at you when you don’t answer him, licking his lips nervously, but it vanishes into thin air when he sees the look of pain. “Y/N?” He speaks your name.
You look at him, lost in his eyes for a moment. You want to say something back, but it feels like you don’t even need to in away. He knows you enough that you don’t speak much, but if did need those answers they would be all reflecting in your eyes. “Sorry, my head is pounding…” You say, hand pressing onto your temple, trying to rub the pain away.
You know that it is mostly because of your lack of sleep and this conversation doesn’t help you that much. Hyunjin can basically see your exhaustion coming from your body. “Is there anything else you didn’t tell me about your dream?” He asks you. He also can’t get your dream out of his head. It didn’t look normal — how your body was anything, but your own and your emotionless eyes staring into his. He lived in a world of black magic and that’s why he in some way doesn’t want to take this lightly either, especially when it comes to you.
You don’t think you can tell him that he was there in the dream with you. Everything was blurry other than his hand holding yours, like it was now. “I don’t know what else to say.” You are not being truthful fully, but you just don’t want to bother his concern-self more.
Hyunjin if he did see through your small lie, he didn’t do anything to indicate it. He could tell that you also didn’t want to talk about it and he must respect that. He watches you — how your frozen feet are tugged beneath you, your rising chest and then your injured hand. He can smell your blood, see it even as the burns start to seep through the cloth. He didn’t realize how much you had actually hurt yourself. He doesn’t even remember physical pain is anymore, but he still thinks you are a little too numb. You just briefly showed a face of pain. It is probably from how tired you are, your head unknowingly to you keeps falling down, eyes screwing shuts, only to open again. Maybe he should be selfish…Get closer to you and stop being so detached, naively thinking it would make things better. He now knows how much you need him just as much he needs you.
An idea comes to him while looking at the stained, white fabric. Maybe it was a little too bold… “I can help you with your pain.”
You don’t try to disagree, because you truly are in pain. You feel weak, tired mentally, you just don’t know what to do. You don’t want to fall asleep, because you might see the mysterious figure again. “How?” You say, voice scratching the back of your throat. You gaze at him with big eyes of plead, desperate for any sort of relief. Hyunjin doesn’t say anything to you back, silently glazing over your soft features, because they might change into something different. Watching him closely as his other hand comes to the one still wrapped around yours, you almost gasp at his unexpected move.
He puts your hand upside down, his other hand going to the one holding yours, just for the nail of his thumb to push into his wrist. Without any hesitation and struggle he pierces his skin, blood pooling out of the small wound. You gasp, softly calling his name. You are lost for words, not so sure what this all means, but you do not jump away. Something about the way he looks at you so softly, makes you calm. You are not afraid . “Drink from me, Y/N.” He says to you, voice quiet to your ears. “Nothing will happen to you. Our blood is a key to turn someone into a vampire, but it also can help a human to ease their mind in a way…like yours can mine.”
You can’t think straight right now, seeing the wound made from his nail closing before your very eyes. This never crossed your mind — drinking his blood. It makes you drowsy, just the thought of your lips wrapping around his skin makes you shiver. He doesn’t mean to look at you this way, but you can tell this idea has already crossed his mind. It feels so intimate…but it doesn’t scare you. It will help you and you were curious enough, giving him a nod in agreement.
The move is minimal and you almost seem to regret it. Not because you don’t want to taste him…but because you just don’t know if your heart can handle it. Blood from the moment you met him became something so fascinating yet horrifying. The night you met, the morning when that horrible thing happened to your dream are nothing compared to the need of consuming it. Hyunjin breathes out deeply, taking in the scent of your own blood — so sweet and from what you could get his was metallic yet poisonous to your senses. Only just the brief look and whiff of his own blood makes you shake, you will now understand what it feels like to him.
His hand leaves yours, softly laying it down on to the dark, flowy skirt of your dress to put his stained wrist to your lips. He hears your heart pick up speed, breath shattering and eyes giving him all the attention. He can’t believe you will taste him, the thought excites him the same amount if the roles were switched. Both of you stare so deeply into each other, the air around you becoming dense and hot. He himself shakes inside as he finally breaches the skin of his wrist again, dragging his nail across to give you more room for your lips to latch onto.
His blood drops onto your bottom lip and without thinking you lick it, metallic taste hitting you immediately. It for a second tastes like any other blood would and you almost make a noise of displeasure, however he at the same moment presses his bleeding wrist to your mouth. “Sink your teeth in to me, to keep the wound open.” Your mouth is full of him, the smell of skin right under your nose. Your eyes flicker to him and without much thought you do as he says, upper teeth sinking into the open wound.
You want to cringe at the feeling of biting his skin raw, but you start to feel strange as you gulp the first flow of his blood down throat. Your eyes close at the strong feeling of power coming over you. You are in shock at how much your body starts to wake up. Your tongue drags eagerly across his skin, moaning into him in pure shock and pleasure. Even if your noise was loud you couldn’t miss his own, deep and almost whiny, watching you so closely that you just have to pull yourself closer to him.
You have never felt something so erotic and full of seduction. The way his body pressed into yours, your hand wrapping around his just to pull him closer to you. His taste was addicting — no metallic and awful taste of blood in your mouth, it was only him now. You needed more. You need him closer to you, you need to drink more from him. It gave you power, body and mind not feeling anything other than pleasure. You are starting to get lost in him, sucking more and more, just to feel with every swallow even more alive.
Hyunjin knew the look on your face all too well. He knew how quickly you could get lost in the taste. The pressure on his skin, how your teeth start to nibble almost at him, it didn’t hurt — quite the opposite. He just in some way can’t wait for you to finally feel it, but also he is afraid that he might not be able to resist the temptation. His own arousal was already showing on his body and when his nose is hit with the scent of your own, his body almost shuts down. He feels the veins inside his body pumping wildly, breaching the thin skin on his face and when your teeth just barely grazed over one particular one he has to pull away.
You don’t hear your own soft sighs of pleasure when he pulls away from you. You can’t catch your breath, but in a good way it seems. You feel drunk, eyes blurry with tears of pleasure you have left before. “Hyunjin I feel-“ You can’t describe it, but your body does it for you. You are flush with heat, fuzzy and — needy. You lick your lips, head falling to the side to stare at him with hooded eyes.
He shakes, hands gripping the cushion under him tightly, almost tearing it from your state. “I know, I am sorry about that — please, don’t look at me like that.” He breathes out, looking away from you to hold on to the last bits of control he has .
You both know what he means. You can feel it, your arousal and he on the other hand is slowly becoming crazy because of it. “Is it your blood doing this to me?” You watch him through your eyes you think, but he looks different to you, more clearer. Your question is unanswered, but you have to gain his attention again, you need to. You pull yourself up, kneeling before him to try and get him to look at you and you do with your next words. “Do you want mine — do you want to taste me?”
He trembles as his voice, trying to push himself away from you, but his body surrounders to you. “Y/N, my blood is playing tricks on you right now.” You don’t even blink at him and he realizes, he gave you way more than you can handle. Your lips are appetizing, red from his blood and eyes glazed over. “It will fade away, I don’t want you to do something you will regret–“ He has to keep reminding himself that this isn’t what you truly want, but when your hands press onto his shoulders, nails digging into his silky shirt, he can’t help, but let you touch him. You both breathe wildly over each other lips, him watching you try to climb onto him, but his senses win and that even shocks him.
He can easily overpower you if he wanted to, run away even, but he chooses to press you back onto the sofa. Your small whimper is quiet, but so sweet. He holds you down not letting you move, even if you still seem to quite enjoy it in some way. He hovers over you from between your legs and has to keep a great composure when you wrap them around his hips. You try so desperately pull him closer, crying out almost in displeasure when he just doesn’t move, even if he sees your dress falling to your hips.
You swallow your saliva mixed with his blood, eagerly trying to get every drop, but there is none left for you to drink. Your hands twitch around his own, him keeping them tightly pinned to your sides. Your breathing calms down a little by little, closed eyes blinking open to look up at him. You sigh deeply from your spot underneath him, even if you did feel your senses coming back to you, you can’t lie that this wasn’t you. You did that from your own will, you wanted it…his blood — it only awaken those dark desires. You feel your face and see his soften. Lips apart as his, your bodies melted into one.
Your mind clears up, but there is still the feeling of your lingering arousal. He sees you come back from the trance, watching your delicious blood going to your face underneath your skin. Hyunjin sighs deeply in relief, hand caressing yours, making you look down at it. He holds out your hand for you to see how it is completely healed now and your eyes widened in amazement. Nothing burns or hurts, you are not tired anymore. You look back at him, face shining in the dim light of the room. He pulls his lips into a smile at your adorable reaction, but you tilted your head away, before you could see it. Something reflected the light and as you turn your head to the side you came across a mirror.
You blink, for a second thinking you are just imagining things, but the reflection still stayed the same. You were the only one in the mirror. “The mirror — I can’t see you.”
You glance back at him, just to be sure he is still here with you. “It’s lined with silver.” He explains to you and your lips part again in understanding. “The only thing that can withstand our powers.”
His powers — from his inhuman strength, speed to his immortality and… “Like compulsion?” You say.
“Yes.”
“That’s why you asked me if I was wearing silver…” You wondered out loud as you back to the night when he appeared on the doorstep. Your lips parted again to ask more, but before you do so, you realized something. You legs are still wrapped around his hips. You swallow nervously, fidgeting for a moment at his unmoving stare. You release the grip you held him in, embarrassed, because his attention also for a second goes to follow your movements. “Tell me, how did you know?” You start, legs bent, but not touching him anymore, however this position maybe looks even more scandalous. “Why did you come to me?”
Your words are whispered, no need for you to talk louder and you are thankful for it. He still holds himself over you, no cramp in his body ruining his chances to see you like this under him. He so desperately tries not to breathe you in as you seem to be finally alright and collected. Your question does make his thoughts shift and he replies to you without any hesitation. “I didn’t know that at the time, I just had this feeling, I couldn’t stop thinking about you…” He will kill you with his honeyed words someday you think. “When I came back to the time when you were looking at me with your horror filled eyes they didn’t shift, your pupils didn’t move. If I would stayed longer, I would probably be able to tell immediately by your heart that it didn’t work…but with Han it did.”
You frown and he already knew you would do that. “You mean Minho?” You try to correct him, but he only shakes his head.
“No, Han…when you were at the club with your friend, well — you really weren’t as sneaky as you thought.” He is almost teasing you, but you only blink at him, still confused.
“I don’t know what you mean….”
“Before your friend found you and after Minho went inside, Han saw you. He firstly made you say why you were watching them so closely.” You put the dots together quickly. Han — that man with puffy cheeks and pouty lips. “You told him the truth and by that he knew you were the one I kept talking about, he made you forget right after…still I had to be sure that this wasn’t just a facade, so I went to see you, sorry for scaring you that night.”
You don’t take his apology too much to heart, because there is another big red flag waving at you. “How did you know where I was?” You try to sound collected you really do, because you can say that you do quite know this man before you, but the fact, he was probably following you…“Were you following me?” You hope that the dream you had, was truly a dream. Though it felt real, like he said he would never hurt you and that dream particularly didn’t end well. Now, you are looking too much into things…
He sighs, running a hand through his hair and sitting back on to his knees. “Are you mad at me?” You are taken back from the way he towers over you and how he smooths down his shirt that clinged to his body, but you still nod.
“Maybe…yes, I am!” You say, sounding like you are almost arguing with yourself. You sit up as well, taking advantage of it to pull the skirt of your dress down, because it had ridden up. “I knew someone was watching me.” You mumble, looking into the distance in thought.
“You do have excellent senses.” You don’t know if it should’ve been a compliment, because the small smirk on his lips is little to cheeky.
You fall into the corner of the couch, looking down at your hand. No scar even, you feel fine, way better in fact. You shake inside when you think back to the moment you two were drunk on each other, you drinking his blood, his noise of pleasure…You can’t think about it too much, because if you would it will only make you more desperate. You do crave someone’s touch, his. Even his hands on your waist made your heart skip a beat and by that you are sure you are not ready for more. Yet…
“Thank you for your blood.” You say, watching him slump his body in a familiar way like you at the other end of the couch.
He only gives you a small smile as welcome. He hopes you don’t see the way his eyes travel up your legs till they stop at your chest. It is a pity he didn’t see you in this dress in a better light, the color and how it draped over your skin looked quite stunning. Hyunjin feels warm inside, because you are finally excepting his gifts without any single thought. Like his wrist…
“Are you hungry?” He asks you suddenly, rather loudly, blinking rapidly.
You don’t know why, but you appreciate such a simple question. “Are you?” You say back, shrugging at his question. The moment it leaves your lips you realize what you said.
He doesn’t take it to his heart, laughing shortly to your delight. You nearly thought he would again vanish from your sight with this question. “Don’t tempt me.” Hyunjin shakes his head at you, standing up. You wish he would see that you were offering. It was bold move from you, you always bite off way more than you could chew. “I can’t drink from you, at least not now.” He mumbles those last words to himself so you don’t heard them or see his lips moving as he turns away from you. “I want you to rest and I promise you that this time I’ll be there with you.” He says, looking over his shoulder at you and you only sigh, before standing up with him to follow his steps.
The time for sleep came quite early. Even if you did have your strength back, thanks to his blood and he also from how he made sure you are well fed, your body pleaded you to take a nap. Your fright of seeing that horrifying image of those bloodied eyes was strong. You spend most of your time just laying on the bed, gazing up to the ceiling, but now you weren’t alone. Hyunjin made a promise and he did fulfill it. He layed on the couch, few feet away from you, his sketchbook in his hands to keep him occupied, because he also couldn’t sleep. His fingers played with the paper in his hands, eyes watching you in the dark and also from the corner of his eye the slightly open window to the balcony. The curtains swayed in the soft breeze, the sounds of trees and nature singing you to sleep. But he on the other hand didn’t find it appealing — how the blue light of the Moon shined inside the room, each sway of curtain showing him the bending trees outside. He didn’t sleep that night just to watch over you and looking out for anything that could harm you. You didn’t woke up, didn’t make a sound and his heart ached, because he realized, he will never again be able to not be next to you.

Because YOU brought up Twilight, if you had to write a fic inspire by this song, what would it be about and who would you write about?
Eyes on Fire | SFW
Pairing: vampire!Lee Minho x Han Jisung!werewolf Rating: SFW Word Count: 916 Genre: Twilight AU, fluff, bl, smidge of crack. Warnings: memxmem, werewolves, vampires, twilight bs-ery, kissing. Summary: The stupid vampire in your college literature class has been burning cold daggers into the side of your skull. Jisung has only two wishes; that his little gifts will simper Lee Minho’s frigid gaze, and that this semester will past incredibly fast.
🗝️Note: at the end!
Disclaimers: This is a work of fiction; I do not own SKZ or the members.
Jisung had spent the better part of the semester attempting to win over his broody literature partner, Lee Minho. No matter the number of steamed buns, the vast variety of flavored milks and black bean noodles could buffer the hole the cat eyed man was burning into his temple each class.
Lightning cracked outside and Jisung startled dramatically, his elbow gliding along Minho's bare forearm. The stark difference in their temperature sent Jisung's skin prickling.
"Sorry, sorry." Jisung glanced at Minho's waiting gaze.
"Scared of a storm, little pup?" Minho's voice dripped around Jisung’s hunched shoulders like a sickly sweet honey.
"No!" Jisung huffed, glaring into his notes.
To both of their surprise, Minho chuckled, rich and low. While their teacher tried to rally the students' attention back from the storm that was steadily rolling in outside.
Minho reached out, causing Jisung to freeze immediately. His enhanced eyes and senses screaming as the vampire dared touch him. But Minho simply tucked a stray strand of hair behind his ear. Icy fingertips frosting over the shell and jingling the silver earrings Jisung had chosen to wear today.
"We all get a little scared sometimes."
Jisung's head snaps to Minho's, stunned that the vampire was conversing with him.
"What are you afraid of?" Jisung asks softly.
Minho stifles a laugh, looking down at his notebook. "Pretty little werewolves that smell too delicious for me to focus."
Jisung visibly gulps when Minho's eyes dance back to his, glinting mischievously.
Minho taps Jisung's forearm, "what about you pup? Not fond of the rain?"
Jisung wrinkles his nose at the borderline catastrophic downpour that is pelting the windows in gray sheets.
Minho chuckles and Jisung feels warmth pinch at the tops of his ears over the sound.
"I just forgot an umbrella is all." Jisung mumbles as the professor details the instructions for this week's homework assignment.
Minho is already packing his bag as Jisung scrambles to write down every last detail, knowing that it will slip his brain as soon as he blinks. Minho's frosty hand cools his shoulder, and Jisung looks up into the eyes of the vampire quizzically.
Minho nods towards the door where their classmates are departing, "come on, we can share my umbrella."
Jisung is on his feet eagerly stuffing his books and pens into his bag, shouldering it and scampering after the older guy. Minho waits in the entryway, at the building doors with a closed umbrella in his grasp. Looking as steely as ever, it makes Jisung question whether he misheard the invitation just moments ago. But he walks tentatively towards Minho, hoping for a quick and dry path to his car.
Once Jisung is at his side Minho wraps an arm around the smaller man's waist and grins, "ready?"
Jisung nods silently, gaze fixed on the stoic classmate who he wasn’t entirely convinced doesn't hate him. Minho opens the door, deploying the umbrella and tugging Jisung with him over the threshold.
"Did you park in the lower lot?" Minho asks as they trudge down the stairs, water dimpling in their wake.
"Yea, how did you know?"
Minho simply responds with a chuckle. Leaving Jisung to tear away his ogling and focus on avoiding deep pockets of rain puddles instead.
"Ah, there's a shortcut beside the cafe and campus store." Jisung says, pressing into Minho to steer him in that direction.
Minho freezes, just slightly and had Jisung been a normal human he might not have noticed it, but his heightened werewolf senses flared. Jisung moved to pull back, thinking that he had offended the older guy. The next thing he knew, Jisung was pinned against the brick of the alley that he had just sent the vampire down. Every instinct in Jisung's body readied for a fight, but instead of Minho's mouth moving to his neck, they slanted over Jisung's own lips. Jisung’s eyes widened before he melted into the kiss. His burning lips metaphorically sizzled against Minho's glacial ones. He felt Minho’s fingers flex from the place on his chest.
When Jisung fisted his hands into Minho's hair, Minho gasped, opening his mouth to him a broken moan filtering between their teeth. Jisung grunted back, tugging Minho flush against him. Gasping as rain suddenly began dripping down his spine. He pulled out of the kiss briefly to see the umbrella spinning on its top at their feet.
"Leave it," Minho breathed before cupping Jisung's face and returning to his lips. Swallowing Jisung's tiny gasps. Minho's fingers pressing into the erratic pulse at his neck, the heat of his skin sharp against Minho's frozen hands. Painful in a way that made Minho want to devour the younger man whole.
It was Jisung who gave into the devouring, pulling away from Minho's lips to kiss down his neck. Tongue lapping at the droplets of rain that had frozen to his throat. Minho tugged Jisung away by his hair, his pupils spread wide and black across his irises.
"Careful pup, I'm supposed to be the one with a neck kink."
Jisung blinks, his lust lifting and realization dawning, "so you don't hate me?"
Minho nuzzles his nose to Jisung's making noise that's akin to a cat's purr. "Quite the opposite."
"Then could you keep your eyes from burning holes into my temple during class?"
Minho's eyes lid as he boxes Jisung in again, "only if I can have kisses after every class."
Jisung gasps, "You just mean lit right?"
Minho grins, eyebrows quirking, "for now."
🗝️Note: Ok Luce, my initial thought was Lino x Han. Where Lino is a broody little vamp, with a crush on res puppy Hanji. Lino is always glaring at Han in their college lit class and Han decides he’s going to win him over. Bringing Lino gifts until one rainy day...Lino asks Han if he wants to share his umbrella and Lino ends up pinning him to an alley wall for a kiss. Getting wet, what was the point of the umbrella again? Han is stunned but kisses back. How will they be explaining this to their parents? Not their sexuality…the fact that Lino is a vamp and Han is a werewolf 🤭

Just Fucking Write 2k24 - Day 27
Prompt: Open the book closest to you & go to the last line. That’s your first line.
“But you won’t,” Sgaeyl predicts, and I’d be tempted to raise my middle finger if I didn’t think she’d bite the damned thing off as a reminder that she can. - Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros (yes I know she’s done / said problematic shit but I didn’t know before I bought the book)
A/N: I ended up tying it back to Day 16
“But you won’t,” Jisung predicted, and Minho would’ve been tempted to raise his middle finger if he did think Jisung would bite the damn thing off as a reminder that he could.
That was the worst part about living in a house full of shifters. Though the smell wasn’t great. The werewolves like Jisung tended to bite first and ask questions later. The vampires like Minho would flaunt their psychic abilities. Of course, after living together for centuries their habits slowly blended and periodically one of the vampires would take a chunk out of one of the werewolves or one of the werewolves would show a hint of psychic ability.
That wasn’t the case this time. This time Jisung was simply being a little shit about Minho’s crush on Chris. Who was currently sleeping with Felix. And neither of them was being particularly subtle about it.
“I should just forget about it,” Minho had said.
“But you won’t,” Jisung replied and that’s how Minho found himself in this position.
“Thanks asshole,” Minho grumbled.
“What? Am I wrong?” Jisung asked.
“No,” Minho sighed. “You’re right.”
“Thank you,” Jisung looked practically smug. “Also if you ever want to fuck a werewolf, I might be persuaded.”
That’s when Minho was convinced if he still blood pressure, he would’ve fainted.
