Octagon, from Philip Glass, commissioned from the CSO in 2023, is inspired by the beautiful Castel del Monte design and reminds all the best original sound of the composer. Beautifully minimalistic but strongly moving in its development. The Bird of Fire from Stravinsky is a perfect piece to stretch and show the orchestra skills.

Beautiful and celebrative the Richard Strauss Aus Italien symphony that develops the suggestive atmosphere of the countryside, the Rome ruins, the livelihood of Napels and the happiness of the Costiera with a wonderful elaboration on the traditional popular music.

Muti is conducting with passion and style aware of his greatness.

Nice last gift celebrating Puccini's anniversary with the intermezzo of the Manon Lescaut.

A memorable evening that set a high standard.

im honestly overjoyed that strawinsky and the mysterious house (aka the movie the globglogabgalab meme came from) hasn’t taken off here on tumblr like other memed-on stuff that built up a fanbase (e.g. lazytown, the nutshack, etc.)

im mostly just terrified by the idea of That Side™ of tumblr giving their usual "weirdly sexualizing a character who is in no way intended to be sexy” treatment to any of that movie’s characters bc tbh that would be going way too fucking far
