─Summary: Everything seems to fall apart before their eyes when you die, only to find out that you were enjoying yourself in Sabaody and not in your grave.

lmao this was fun to write for no reason 😭🤌🏻

The loss of a loved one is a difficult battle, everyone on this crew has experienced at least one death of a family member or someone close to them to call them family, they hoped that pain would not damage their hearts again, unfortunately, you shattered their hearts when they found your limp body on Sky Island when you decided to go your own way.

With their hearts in their throats and their eyes red, they had to say goodbye to you bitterly, burying your body in a cluster of soft clouds, they were silent for a minute until Luffy was the first to give the signal to leave, he knew you would have liked that they were not so sad and that their adventures had not yet ended like yours.

They lamented your lack of presence, you always made everything a little more enjoyable with your nonsense, you managed to fit in perfectly with each of them and although you were not the smartest, most cunning or powerful on the team, they did not expect your early departure.

It was when they arrived at Sabaody for the first time that they thought they were going crazy, thinking that they had gotten over your loss, someone strangely like you seemed to be hanging around that island.

Luffy could clearly see how you were riding some attractions, Nami was confused when she saw you trip over a huge root, Chopper thought that the smell of disinfectant had made him hallucinate and see you eating cotton candy, Usopp simply thought he saw a ghost, Brook thought you came back from the dead to exact revenge when he saw you beating up a couple of guys who seemed to bother you, Franky could only catch your laugh, but it was so similar that he thought his brain was playing tricks on him, Zoro and Sanji bumped into you, but neither you nor they were paying attention as something bigger was catching everyone's attention and practically everyone was jostling each other.

While, oblivious to all the suffering, pain and coping that your companions had to do, you woke up buried in clouds a while ago, managing to get down and reach Sabaody miraculously like a stowaway on another pirate ship, you had planned to look for them and scold them a little for thinking you were dead, but your plans were thwarted when you found the island too much interesting, well, you had been 'dead' for a while, it was okay if you enjoyed a little time at the attractions before looking for your companions.

The thing is that you got so distracted and forgot to find them, if it weren't for the fact that, coincidentally, Jinbe ─who you didn't know since you didn't get to know him─ recognized you from the brief conversations they had with him about you, he was waiting in the queue to buy something and you were just behind, you started a chat to kill time.

"You look terribly like a person who died in the crew I'm part of now, I mean, because of the descriptions they made."

"Oh…"

The blood on your face disappeared at his words, remembering now that you had a crew to return to, and that in fact you were that supposedly dead person, you laughed nervously, wanting to resume your search, although there was no need.

"Hey, Jinbe, here! We were looking for you."

You blinked like an owl as you saw Luffy greet him with his characteristic smile, calming down as you saw the others walking a little further behind calmly, you smiled fondly when you saw them, making eye contact for a second with your captain as you sipped the drink you had gotten before, he casually greeted you by saying your name and you waved back, focused on finishing your drink.

"Wait a moment, you…" he narrowed his eyes looking at you again, drawing the attention of the others "Are you the twin of our dead comrade!?"

You choked on your own drink, Chopper patting you on the back.

"No uh- in fact it's me, the original, only and loved-"

"WEREN'T YOU DEAD!?"

You covered your ears when you heard Nami's scream, your tongue went dry and your body seemed to get smaller when you saw her gaze, everyone had different emotions reflected ─Luffy and Zoro were still a little confused because they really thought you have a twin─ but Nami was the most furious, she started hitting and pushing you.

"GIVE ME BACK THE TEARS I SHED FOR YOU!"

"AW, OH, SORRY!? YOU LEFT ME FOR DEAD!"

You ran in circles avoiding the navigator, protecting your head from her light blows while you apologized for not having warned that you 'rose from the dead'.

"Well, who knows, maybe it's a zombie."

"Robin, you're not helping me."

You whimpered, hiding behind Sanji and Franky, waiting for Nami to calm down, it wasn't a reunion like you planned ─you didn't plan anything─ but everyone felt a little relieved, leaving behind the bitterness of losing a partner and enjoying your company now that you were with them again.

- Sanji was adopted by Zeff when he was seven

- had to go through therapy because of all the trauma caused by his biological family (especially “father”)

- he’s ok now 👍🏻

- first time he called Zeff “dad” was an accident, Sanji was twelve and it was a really rough day, he was very sad and it just slipped

- does martial arts in free time as a hobby

- picked up smoking from Zeff (Sanji thought that he looked so cool while smoking and wanted to be this cool too)

- well… Zeff saw how Sanji tried to smoke when he was just fourteen and it didn’t went well for the teen🫣

- he always admired Zeff and is very grateful for changing his life

- knew from the very young age that he wanted to be a chef, and as soon as Zeff allowed he started helping at old man’s restaurant

- started as a chore boy and then waiter

- after he graduated from culinary school he opened All Blue with Zeff’s help

- now All Blue is the best restaurant in the country

- even tho Sanji is very flirtatious person, he doesn’t date much (partially because of some of the insecurities that are still left and partially because he’s hopeless romantic and wants his relationship to be very special)

- Sanji loves to watch documentaries about seas and oceans 🌊

- when he first met Zoro it was after the Strawhats won some important match (he heard it was important bt didn’t really care for hockey), the team booked whole restaurant to celebrate and Sanji decided to congratulate them on win

- when he came out of the kitchen first thing he noticed was ridiculous green hair, but then the owner of this stupid hair turned his way and Sanji was lost

[egghead spoilers, up to chapter 1110]

Sanji's humanity & Zoro's strength

(or lack thereof) - a theory of possible conflict between Luffy's wings before the end of Egghead arc. Long post ahead. Like.. very long post.

So the new chapter had a very interesting new "banter" between Sanji and Zoro, but no, actually just Sanji, because there was no usual back and forth quips followed after.

Yes, this whole post started because of these few panels: (" ...!!")

After rereading the chapter more times I realized, Sanji's not even speaking to Zoro or knows that Zoro can hear him. He's talking about Zoro, and calling him a burden to the team.

Which is just baffling to me? (fair, maybe I'm looking too much into it and next chapter it would be explained in different way) but for now, I need to put this out there and make my own small (long) theory on this.

There's lot to be said about the word burden here, and I will get to it later in the post, but for now, let's start with Sanji and his eyebrow!

It wouldn't be a perfect story if Oda didn't tangle threads of each respective characters from multiple arcs before and brought them up together later on during one of the most difficult times when Strawhats and Luffy are facing off with so much danger (reminds me of Sabaody but in a very different way).

In this instance Sanji's past could be brought up again, something that started worrying him since his fight with Queen in Wano, and especially given that his left eyebrow has been changing its shape quite a lot during the run of the Egghead arc.

Here's just few panels throughout end of Wano up to current Egghead chapter, where Sanji' left eyebrow is in the focus on the pages:

Chapter 1029 was the first part where Sanji was thinking his body might be undergoing some changes he couldn't control -broken bones insantly healed, stronger and faster than ever before, due to him beforehand using the Germa suit which possibly triggered this sort of superhuman modification he wasn't really aware of until then. When he realized he couldn't remember certain memories, he panicked, thinking he might be changing into something similar like his brothers, a scientific weapon created by his father. The worry and panic was all the more present because he thought he hurt someone without his knowing, and that'd slowly take away his kindness and sense of humanity. (Too bad I hoped the changes his body might be undergoing would only be realization of his non-cis gender status, but maybe that's still on the table for sometime in the future.):

^In this second panel his face is on purpose shadowed, which was the last time he was shown in that chapter,

and only again was in chapter 1031 - where his eyebrow changed:

and it takes him to think about Luffy and what his purpose would be if something so important of him would change. He knows why Luffy went after him in WCI, he knows what values are important for Luffy and his crew, and of course he doesn't want to be reminded of his family and his brothers and act as they did. He chooses the humanity, the kindness that Luffy loves in him.

Even to the extent to call Zoro and make a deal with him - to kill Sanji if anything would go wrong with him. "If I'm not in my right mind, I want you to kill me." That much trust he has in Zoro to protect the crew and Luffy!

Of course Zoro wouldn't do anything reckless without a good reason, but part of their banter and understanding each other would be to promise something like that - echo of Thriller Bark and the range of how far Zoro would go to take on someone elses pain. It's a promise to win their separate fights, but also this was something that Sanji put out there for Zoro to take notice of. (I will come back to that later.):

(still the "bad eyebrow" - he had that the whole chapter 1031).

After his fight with Queen (where it was also cleared what his actions were and weren't), he was only shown two times until he woke up, and both times he had his eyebrow back on good side.

1036 & 1044 (hearing Luffy awaken his powers):

All the way up to Egghead he seemed to have his eyebrow drawn this way, and it started to change only during fights -

ch 1075, still good eyebrow, tho.. ehh this behavior.. whatever:

ch. 1078, protecting his crew from Seraphim, bad eyebrow:

in between chapters 1090 - 1105 (most of which were flashbacks and Sanji nor Strawhats were shown) he appeared with his typical eyebrow:

and it changed again in ch 1107 - when he was again protecting Bonney / fighting against Kizaru:

interesting was chapter 1108 where he's standing between Saturn and Vegapunk, and he's describing Saturn with "he's less and less human by the minute" while his own face was obscured, (I mean.. interesting choice of words and what character said it, huh?):

and the next page he still has the bad eyebrow:

in chapter 1109 it's back on his typical side, where it continues from previous chapter of Sanji carrying Vegapunk- so at some point it must have shifted back (and I'm curious if these changes would be noticable in the animation). At this part he's watching how Saturn is summoning the other Gorosei to Egghead:

Which leads me to the point from above with Zoro.

chapter 1110 and their interactions (for me) was just off. I like their usual banter and bickering, it's funny (if it's in the manga and contained to few panels to make sense, not so much in the anime, but i'm not going into that now), but the thing to call anyone of their crew a "burden" just doesn't fit right. (Especially after WCI... c'mon Sanji, and especially to someone like Zoro, who's always the first one to think about the crew.)

I would understand it if he laughed along with the words to elevate their seriousness, or said something like "Finish it up, Mosshead, we need to get moving." but no. He calls him a burden. And again as I mentioned, it pretty much could have been even Sanji not realizing Zoro can hear that.

These words (in my opinion) were chosen on purpose for multiple reasons:

First we have the Zoro vs Lucci fight that goes on for a while in the real world - in the One Piece world it might be just few minutes - plus we don't know how tough were the fights with the Seraphim which let others be injured.

When Lucci attacked, Zoro immediately thrown himself with him away from the rest of the crew. Zoro was possibly stalling with the fight for time to leave. I feel he could have finished that fight earlier but that wasn't the point. The point might have been to hold him back from his crew.

also this was possibly the only fight after King where Zoro could test the limits of his powers and haki, just like Luffy in the Udon prison in Wano was basically training, this (and the Seraphim fights we haven't seen) could be something similar for Zoro.

Some people think that just because of these characters getting new powers it means they already understand how to use them/how it works, but that's usually not the point of how stories go - there can be progress and there can be setbacks, growing up but also falling back down, which makes the stories more interesting.

The words that Lucci used against Zoro were basically the same thing that Sanji said to Zoro few chapters later:

Amongst them he pointed out the Strawhats inability to cut off one of their own out of their crew to save others - like Lucci left Kaku behind just chapters before this fight when he attacked Vegapunk and Stussy (and Sanji trapped Kaku in the bubble prison). It's a play on very different characters and how they think and act to show clearly how they different they are.

The words burden or dead-weight really stood out, already when Lucci said it in chapter 1107, and the fact that they were targetting Zoro - someone who always blames himself (in his mind, not usually out loud) for not being strong enough, and someone who always has protecting his crew at the first place, was interesting in the connection to Sanji repeating basically the same words in the latest chapter.

I will probably make a different separate post only focusing on Zoro and his fear of being weak, but for the purposes of this post, just to pick a few moments where it's important in the manga:

One of the first time I've noticed how much Zoro keeps berating himself with words like "not strong enough" "too lax" "still too soft" "if I'd been stronger/ faster/ better..."

was just after Little Garden arc, where he almost cut off his ankles just to keep fighting. Time after time the crew encounters strong enemies and Zoro gets a new understanding how far up is the limit that he has to reach to keep the crew safe, so he keeps training. ch. 129:

When Luffy went to fight Crocodile and Zoro was worried and kept training on the way to Alubarna, this banter between Sanji and Zoro felt typical between them - it's about the two way street, the back and forth (that's why that new chapter and insult from Sanji feels so foreign, there's no reply, not quip back - only silence and some sort of determination, which isn't good nor bad, just.. weird.) ch. 179:

and after the final fight of Alabasta, possibly one of the first times I really started paying attention to how much it gets to Zoro, this question of how strong he needs to be. (along with what possibly was one of the first introduction of his haki and how he began training the Observation haki, disguised as meditation in the terms of the early manga) ch. 213:

Thriller Bark was one of the biggest arcs in this sense of Zoro and his protectiveness towards the crew and Sanji knows that - he knows what happened there, he even wanted to sacrifice himself in stead of Zoro for Luffy (but this is beside the point here, and I talked about it in other post before).

Zoro took on himself Luffy's pain, and after that arc he still went right to train as soon as he could despite being still injured, ch. 490. "still too weak!"

which goes through to Sabaody arc.

Chapter 510 until the end of that arc is just painful to go through again. Luffy was worried for Zoro and didn't know the scope of his injuries, while Sanji knew and was concerned in his own way too - that is another thing of how they care, sometimes wordlessly but there is that understanding of what to mention or not. ("Burden" still shouldn't be one of the words to use between them, not that far into the story.)

Now - fast forward to Punk Hazard where one of similar moments played out - Zoro telling Luffy not to goof around because they got in the New world and needed to take things seriously.

It was one of those small moments where Sanji was actually one of the few people shown with reaction to Zoro's words and his urgency, ch 678:

Sanji saying "He's so tough on himself" really puts into perspective how he sees Zoro - he knows what he's been through, and knows to what extremes he's willing to go to protect his crew.

He's definitely not someone who would carelessly call Zoro "a burden" even in the time and place and situation they found themselves on Egghead, if anything, he was supposed to be one of the first ones to know how serious is Zoro always about protecting the crew. (Even in the beginning of Egghead, Zoro stayed at first on the Sunny because "who will save them when they will need saving.")

There's few others scenes and parts where Zoro questions his worth and strength, especially in later Wano, calculating what needs to be done so they have strength to face off with Kaido, ch 980:

and later against King, ch 1033 "it was my strength that was lacking!" while unlocking his Conqueror's haki, still unknowingly:

The fact that it's been happening pretty much since the beginning of the story - how Zoro views himself as not strong enough, yet persisting in always getting stronger and protecting his crew - means so much for what character Zoro is and how much he values and loves his crew (just like all the other Strawhats in different ways), and also, as I've been catching up so quickly with the manga, there's been that hope for some call out of this behavior, to poke it where it hurts, to see what would happen if someone turns those words Zoro possibly feels in his mind against him out loud. And that's kind of what's been happening lately - and I'm curious what impact will this have on both Zoro personally and on the other Strawhats, depending who will be around for the conclusion.

Zoro is one of the few strawhats really thinking about the future, plans and what they need to still fight through, carefully calculating what his opponents might be doing, how strong they are and how much of a problem it would be to go through them.

And Sanji normally understands that, he knows how Zoro works and the other way around, that's why he still protected him when Zoro was injured, (if anything, in this moment Zoro could have been something like hinderance or annoyance to Sanji, yet he never said something like that), ch. 1015:

Even on Egghead, where there was temporary truce with Lucci and Kaku, Zoro pointed out how to recognize the Seraphim's weaknesses, and apologized for 'wasting their stamina' - again, calculating on his strength, ch. 1077:

Zoro isn't just fighting for the sake of a fight, he does have his dream and does know what's important to focus on (he himself always keeps the crew in focus when it's important!)

So it's difficult to have a conclusion about the whole Zoro vs Lucci fight without knowing what is Zoro thinking - hopefully in next chapter we will have more info on it (that is number 1111 - Zoro's birthday and bounty! so I hope it will be a big focus on Zoro again). But even beside that, it was obvious in such short time two people around him suddenly called him a burden to his team - something he takes very close to his heart and mind, something that will hopefully have some consequences for us to see and read, because as Oda is choosing words definitely carefully to have the right impact, two very similar words like "burden" don't seem like a coincidence.

To wrap this up - with Sanji telling this to Zoro felt different than their usuall banter, and as I said before - maybe because Sanji wasn't even speaking to Zoro. At the same time, on Wano Sanji gave Zoro a clue that somehting was happening with him, the fact that there was a panel with just Zoro's ear twitching and then being silent, thinking, and not replying to Sanji with anything that would hint to us about his state of mind, and it could mean he's also aware of some difference in Sanji's acting.

The way he says this reminds me of the what Sanji was thinking during his fight with Queen - "what would be more useful to Luffy, regular flesh-and-blood body? Or a cruel, cold emotionless warrior of science." Even for this small part of seeing him speak with Jimbei and hearing what Zoro was up to until then, he speaks without almost any emotions beside anger? Even with his eyebrow not indicating the change, precisely, it doesn't have to be connected in this way, except physical fights, but there could be something still changing within Sanji to make him act this way, a way that really isn't something we've seen before. I think if in next chapters he speaks to Nami, Robin or some other woman without his typical over-the-top pleasanteries, it could indicate how much of a problem this could be for the Strawhats.

So we have Sanji's need to stay human and kind, the pact created with Zoro to kill him if anything felt wrong; and we have Zoro - someone who's biggest purpose from the beginning was to protect the crew and Luffy, while many times we've seen him question his own strength, and now two people in the span of like 5 minutes in the One Piece time are calling him a burden.

It will be interesting to see if this is heading towards a clash or conflict between Luffy's wings while Luffy needs the support to fight / flee from the Gorosei.

To end this too long post, I feel it's very on point for One Piece not to have a sole focus on just one character going through it™ in one arc, but it's always a few crumbs here and few hints there. This sort of conflict would be perfect to deal with both of Zoro and Sanji's respective fears - because this is very much about fears in their minds, while at the same time if they can resolve this, it would only strengthen their crew once again.

Pregnant Sanji WCI

Sanji apologizing to Zoro under his breath, crying silent tears as he was carted off to Whole Cake.

The Strawhats being furious that their vulnerable cook was taken from them, some of them still have to go to Wano and get recon. They honestly argue about who got to go after the cook.

Zoro being unable to go seeing as he was the strongest after Luffy, he was the one who was going to keep the Wano team safe and fucking hates himself. He wants so bad to go after Sanji but knows he should listen to Luffy.

Before Sanji arrives, the kingdom's servants are going crazy. From mouth to mouth they hear the dead prince is coming back, a striking image of the late queen.

Sanji being terrified about what will happen to his children, breaking down alone in his room as he only presented as omega after he left Germa. If they didn't know before they surly will now as his stomach is swollen with triplets.

Zoro laying awake on the Polar Tang, praying for the first time in his life to a deity he doesn't believe in to keep his family safe. Then prays to Luffy for good measure. Couldn't hurt as he spend every moment awake, regretting not fighting harder to go. The crew try and comfort him.

Sanji is taken by some servants to freshen up before meeting with the royal family. They pull out old clothing that was weirdly well maintained, the queens old maternity clothes when she was pregnant with quadruplets.

The Vinsmoke's all wonder how Sanji turned out, seeing as any kind of picture they seen of the third son was horrendous. Sure he was a quadruplet but all of the brothers look different.

Being escorted to the throne room, Judge has to do a double take as his late wife Sora was now standing in the sum beams that come in threw the large sweeping windows of the family throne room.

Reiju gasps she see's her beloved mother, standing there as she once was, pregnant with her brothers.

The three brothers just shrug to themselves, they had thought their mother had died, but then again they also thought Sanji had 'died'.

The reader is quite popular and has been even before she joined the strawhats, anyway while the strawhats are docked on an island, reader reunites with an old friend she made before she joined the strawhats. During a celebration of something this friend of reader has become quite touchy, and Robin finds reader and her friend are in a position that makes it look like reader is cheating on Robin. But she isn’t and reader goes to explain to Robin.

after the strawhats manage to save an island, celebration ensues. you, a strawhat and the romantic partner of nico robin, happen to meet an old friend. a touchy old friend. while robin is mature enough not to be jealous, she's hurt and confused.

Before joining the Straw Hat Crew, you had already made quite a name for yourself. People adored you, and you were popular in surrounding islands despite only doing some charity work. You've even rattled up the marines, stealing money from enemy islands to help support your island.

Everyone on the crew knew the extent of your popularity. Now, you were no hero, but the people loved you. And when you teamed up with Luffy to shut down a corrupt government, that's when he asked you;

"You're pretty cool! Join my crew!"

Since then, The Thousand Sunny has been your home. The Strawhats are your family, and you've grown close with each one. Especially Nico Robin.

The first time Nico Robin was introduced to you, she was intrigued. You were smart, interesting, pretty, and fairly popular. She figured there had to be a good reason for such popularity. After reading up on past newspapers, she learned of your good nature that had led to your micro-celebrity status.

You yourself were enthralled with Robin. She was beautiful, morbid, and oh so intellectual. The two of you clicked instantly, your personalities lining like puzzle pieces. Eventually, you adapted to being called her girlfriend, physical affection with each other, and sharing knowledge.

Your relationship was strong, with Robin being astute and mature and you being loving and apt.

Fast forward to now, your crew has saved an island from corruption and the entire village is partying in celebration. You're sitting next to Robin, sharing a bottle of wine together as you listen to one of the village elders tell a wise story around the fire.

You move to rest your head on Robin's shoulder when you hear Usopp call out for you. "Hey! Someone's here looking for you!" You're a bit confused, having never visited this island before. "Really, for me?" You question, scrunching up your face and looking over to Robin. She smiles at you, "Go ahead, I'll be right here."

You give her a peck on the cheek as Usopp points you over to where the person is standing.

You walk further from the celebration and to the village housing, where you spot a figure against the wall. As your eyes adjust to the dark night, you gasp. It's a very close friend you made during your time of popularity. She always backed you up in bad situations and could've been considered your partner in crime. "Is that really you!?" You run over, hugging her. "How'd you end up on this old island?" You beam at her. "Oh, you know! Needed to jump start my business and moved here. Let's catch up!" Before you can explain that you need to inform your friends and girlfriend where you'll be first, she drags you away.

As the night goes on, the two of you share booze as you recount the adventures you both had. Her legs are tangled up in yours as she pushes herself closer to you in a drunken stupor. Your friend had always been a bit touchy, and you've accepted that. In your also very drunken state, you don't do much to tell her to tone it down.

She leans over to whisper something in your ear, but you turn, making her smash right into your lips. That's when you hear a light gasp. You whip your head to see your girlfriend, Robin, along with Nami and Usopp. "Ouch!" you reprimand your friend, glancing over to Robin, but she's walking away. Nami is glaring at you hard. You sober up quickly. "I've gotta go, okay?" You say, standing up.

You pull Nami and Usopp along with you to privately speak with them. Nami speaks first, "What the actual hell were you doing!? We thought we could trust you! She though she could trust you!" Your stomach drops. "Fuck! I was just reuniting with my old friend. I forgot how touchy she could be." Nami raises an eyebrow as Usopp crosses his arms. "Really? God. You need to go find Robin." You turn on your heel to follow where she walked off to.

"Robin?" You call out, walking along a dirt path along a meadow.

You spot a shadow against a tree stump holding a book. That's her.

"Mm?" She hums, not looking up from her book. You sit down beside her and look at her. She's got that sorrowful look in her eyes, like that look when she's thinking about her past.

"Robin, I want to tell you what happened. I didn't mean to walk off like that." You start, "That was my close friend from before I joined the crew. "Oh, Robin." You breathe, recognizing that fear of abandonment from anywhere. She's still so bruised from her past. "I love you so much. I would never leave you, or be unfaithful to you. You will always be my other half and I am so proud to be your partner. Please forgive my negligence." You lean in to put a hand on her cheek, stroking her face gently. You tilt your head as to ask if she's okay and if she forgives you, and she dips her head to give you a soft kiss.

"Of course I forgive you. I was just so confused, I didn't think you ask you anything. I shouldn't have run off. I love you, so so much." She smiles, tucking hair behind your ear.

"Let's go back to the ship, alright?"

The next morning, you properly introduce Robin to your friend before the Sunny departs to the next island.

As the ship departs from the dock, you feel a comforting warmth on the small of your back as Robin rests a hand there, a bit heavier than any other time.

Hello, just wanted to say that i enjoyed your last two fics, they’re pretty cool! Could you maybe do another Law fic? Perhaps maybe the reader was also taken in by the donxitoute (I fs spelt that wrong)family at a young age just like Law was when he was younger. And like obviously Law and the reader grew up together with the donxitoute family, like they became close and eventually developed crushes on one another. But Corazón wasn’t able to take the reader on time because Doflamanigo never kept his eyes away from her because she had this really strong devil fruit. Then when years go by obviously Law and the Reader are older but she’s still in the family and became an executive. Obviously she doesn’t stand what Doffy does and wants to betray him just like Viola but she doesn’t have an opening due to how valuable she is to him. And Doflamingo always has her by his side. Maybe when Law teams up with the strawhats, he mentions her and how he needs to help her and get out of there. This would probably take place a bit in the end of Punk Hazard and through Dressrosa. (Also it would be cool if the reader and Viola were close friends). You can turn this into a series because i think that would be cool.

Narrator POV

Like the other kids, you were orphaned and left to die. You came across the Donquixote family, and despite being thrown away (literally) by Corazon, you were stubborn and kept coming back. Then one day Doflamingo discovered your Devilfruit ability (you decide what it is) and thought of how useful it would be, and soon you were a valued member of the family.

Eventually Law came along and when he was eventually accepted into the family, you were curious. He was always cold or angry and tried to keep to himself all the time, but you made sure that never happened. You'd always stick together, almost hunt him down at times, always speaking, always trying to get him to play when you weren't busy. He hated it, he hated you'd never leave him alone or shut up, no matter what you did he'd never lighten up or let you get close... But of course, you eventually did get close, really close actually, as tike went by on the Doflamingo pirates you both became close, inseparable even, you won were a team that fought side by side. But as of recently Law's disease was getting worse and he was slowly dying. You begged and begged Doflamingo to take him to a doctor but there was nothing he could do. You knew Law's time was getting short, that's why you became extra clingy. Wanting to spend as much time as you could together, but one day he just disappeared, with Corazon.. You were heartbroken that they suddenly disappeared, your best friend, and your first crush, gone.

Time went by and you did your best to forget about him. Then one night you stopped at a snowy island, for some reason Doflamingo never let you leave the ship. You wanted to complain but you knew better than question him, so you stayed put. Once you saw Doflamingo trapped the island with his strings you knew something was really wrong. When everyone came back, you ran up to Doflamingo to ask what had happened but something seemed wrong with him, like he was on the verge of snapping at anyone that got too close. So you decided to wait for him to calm down before asking. When he eventually did lighten up, which took much longer than you thought, he told you everything about what Law and Corazon did, and everything changed for you. You started to hate Doflamingo and grew colder towards him, and when he took over Dressrosa those feelings doubled down, but you knew that no matter how much you hated him now, there was no way to leave without dying...

One good that came from the takeover of Dressrosa was meeting Viola, you both quickly became close on your shared hatred for Doflamingo, so at least you had a close friend again.

You were called to speak with Doflamingo, he stood by an open window, seeming tense, "Doflamingo? You wanted to speak?" He turned to you, a small scowl on his face, "You've been under my direct command and my command only since you've joined, right?" He asked, you nodded. "And you'd never betray me... Right?" He asked, the threat clear in his tone, you froze for a second but nodded. "Good... Congratulations, you've now been promoted to one of my executives, you're taking Vergo's place" you looked at him shocked confused, "But what happened? Why am I replacing Vergo??" Doflamingo only scowled, it was a similar to the scowl he had when he killed Corazon. "Did something happen at Punk Hazzard?" "Yes" "Monette too?" He stayed silent this time which told you everything you needed to know, "Was it?..." "Law..." He said. Your heart raced at hearing that name again after all these years, you'd seem him in the newspapers once or twice, but you didn't know what he was like now, a part of you still missed him, but it wasn't time for that now. "Alright, I'll accept Vergo's place," You said. Doflamingo stood on the open windowsill, "Good. I'm going to he gone for a bit, you make sure nothing goes to shit while I'm out..." And he left. You knew that if Law was in Punk Hazzard that he'd probably come to Dressrosa soon, you weren't sure if you were mentally ready for that, but you knew that it didn't matter because you'd have to confront him soon, and you knew when he was here, you had an important choice to make...

Law POV

I was currently in the kitchen of the All Sunny with the rest of Strawhats, telling them my plans for what was going to happen in Dressrosa. As I talked about the plan, but an idea popped in my head and I mumbled out the name of someone I hadn't thought about in years. "Who's that?" Luffy asked, "An... An old Friend." I muttered out, "They were someone I was close to when I was still in Doflamingos crew. They had a powerful Devilfruit ability that could help us save Dressrosa. But they're constantly under the watch of Doflamingo or one of the other executives.. But, I left her alone all those years ago, and it would kill me to leave her again... I need to save her..." I gripped the table as I thought about how I had to leave and couldn't take her with me, I left her, alone and in the clutches of that bastard Doflamingo. Luffy just flashed his signature smile, "Well if she's a friend of yours, she's a friend of mine. Well save her Tra-guy!" I scowled at the nickname, but a sense of relief washed over me and I looked towards the direction Dressrosa was, "Don't worry, I'll save you this time, and I'll never leave you again, my dear friend."

Robin (known shitdisturber) - yes it is I his daughter who was produced through sexual intercourse with my female mother.

The whole thing gets way too out of hand during the two year arc and results in one very angry ex warlord kicking down Dragons door.

You’re right, this is so much funnier.

And people believe it because not only do they look similar enough to pull it off, but Robin’s weirdgirl energy and Dragon’s commit to any and all bits energy just. Click. Right into place. No gaps. Seamless.

I’m on Zou Arc right now and Robin is fucking with everyone like “my god, they’re cannibals”. Meanwhile, if he were there, Dragon- 100% running with her shit-stirring because it’s the funniest thing ever- would have gone “can they really be called cannibals since they’re Mink? Or does the term apply to all sapient humanoid species?” Cut to Usopp screaming because if the leader of the Revs (who’s there for whatever reason) is saying that, then it MUST be true!

Except everyone knows he’s bullshitting because everyone knows- including him- that Robin is bullshitting.

And it just kind of happens one day at the end of a discussion, back in her two year stay on Baltigo. Dragon’s been talking with her a lot, getting to know her, making sure she knows that she’s as welcome and accepted among the RA as she is with the Strawhats. The standard practice of “feed the stray cat so they know you’re a nice human and can be trusted”. You know the one.

Just.

A sip from the drink in her hand, like she’s already concocting more schemes.

“I hope you’ll forgive me, but some have been asking me- indirectly at least- if I’m your daughter. And I’ve been telling a few fibs here and there because of it.”

A twitch at the corner of his mouth, like he’s fighting a grin.

“Interesting… What sort of fibs, for the sake of keeping the story straight?”

Full shit-stirrer to shit-stirrer communication. Except it goes a little too well when Robin has reunited with the Strawhats for a while, and Dragon gets a very livid call from his dear and beloved nicotine addicted reptile. Accusing him of… sleeping with a woman? How rude! How unoriginal!

And that’s how Dragon learns that Robin’s been using her talents for fucking with people in a “good and friendly” manner to routinely put Crocodile through the wringer. Untraceable calls in the middle of the night that have the man feeling like he needs to be locked in a padded cell. Seastone muzzle and straitjacket optional.

The sudden shock of that revelation makes Dragon break, and then he’s cackling and wheezing like a madman until even the snail is concerned for his health.

“Wani, are you really that surprised that she would gaslight you for fun?”

“… Fair point…”

Oh, if Robin wasn’t going to get adopted into his dysfunctional garbage fire of a family before, she definitely is now.

Heyo! How would Platonic! Straw Hats and Heart Pirates react to their New Crew member Being Deaf/Having Hearing Aids? (I don't know if a hearing aids don't exist in the one piece world, maybe regular snail hearing aids do existed just like bluetooth snail transport, which Nami used from One Piece Live Action)

Cause I am deaf and hearing aids, I am very quiet. I can read people's lips but when I wasn't good at hearing people's speech with my hearing aids, I would pretend to be hearing whatever they say but I got distracted by everything especially there's a puppy or baby around or I only asked my friends or family what they said.

─Summary: You are unable to hear, but aware of the world around you, lips are your best ally.

─Warnings: none

─ You really have to keep an eye on your hearing device if you don't want Luffy to lose it, he's just curious because he doesn't know exactly how it works, but he'll get distracted and lose it if you ever let him see it.

─ It's not usually a big deal, Franky along with Usopp can make you more at any time, but it's preferable that they don't have to, it takes a lot to set it up for the specific hearing parameters for you.

─ Robin is the one who will catch you up if you get lost when someone is talking, she always notices how your eyes wander to something else that's distracting you, if you ask her she'll answer anything you want to know that you haven't picked up.

─ Sanji always has a small notebook and pen in his suit in case your devices ever fail or get lost during a fight, even if you can read lips, it never hurts to take some precautions.

─ Chopper spends a lot of his time researching if there is a solution for your deafness, even though there doesn't seem to be any progress at the moment, that doesn't mean he's going to stop to give you better hearing.

─ Brook is so sad if you can't listen to his music at some point, and just like Sanji he'll always carry paper and pen, it's hard for you to interpret his words because he's a skeleton and you can't see the movement of his lips.

─ Nami and Jinbe speak much slower or put great emphasis on certain syllables so you can read their gestures better, they tend to be very expressive when communicating if you're close, making it easier for you to understand.

─ Unlike Zoro, he rants uncontrollably and won't modulate shit, he doesn't do it out of spite, really, but he thinks it's good that you try to read lips quickly or get used to different types of modulation, an enemy won't stop to speak slowly just because of your condition.

─ Law has already tried to heal you in many ways, but since that fails, he just settles for you using your hearing device, he trusts that you can read lips perfectly and helps you with that, trying different words, tones or ways of speaking.

─ Bepo is your translator if your thoughts seem much more entertaining than a random person's speech, he will gladly give you a summary of what has been said.

─ At the same time, he is the one who you find it more difficult to read lips because he is a bear and his snout is obviously not a human mouth, although you have quickly learned to understand him, your reading is still not as good with those of his species.

─ Ikkaku, Jean Bart and you have appropriated a few small gestures to communicate in complete silence, a minimal lip movement has a great meaning for you and no one else understands it apart from you, so it doesn't matter if an enemy sees you moving your lips in a strange way, they will never guess what it means.

─ Shachi and Penguin have a little game with you, you disconnect your device and they start making sounds of animals or objects, while you have to guess what it is by the mimicry and their actions.

─ Most of the team carries a small notebook in case of emergencies, if your device breaks or gets lost it won't be that easy to repair it or find a new one since they are usually inside the Polar Tang under the sea.

─ Law keeps some spare components in case this happens, but he is usually careful and will scold you if you ever lose it or something.
