thinking about some things from season 4 that were left out and how some of them match up with season 5

many of these things were from SCENES that didn't make it into the season 🤯

like scenes at bradley's where they were filmed at night and nothing shows up in season 4.... Have you seen it? because I haven't

But in s5 Murray appears wearing a supermarket shirt

in addition to the truck that also appears

Now to Lonnie, the actor who plays him was at the table read and so we were expecting to see him during the season but nothing either

But now in s5 we'll have a flashback where will and Jonathan are younger, not that it's confirmed, but for me Lonnie does appear, as does Joyce

Now the main thing (for me at least) There were recordings at Terry Ives' house but there were no scenes of the Ives house.

My guess is, as s4 and s5 were supposed to have been recorded together I think a lot of things from season 4 went into season 5 like the two examples I gave above.

The interesting thing for us is that both Kali and Terry were mentioned in addition to some subtle references, and if all this is a tease of what we're waiting for since they didn't manage to bring them back in season 4 for some reason.

It's always been pretty obvious to me that Kali/008 would be back. It's the final season, and it wouldn't make sense to ignore that she exists, and could greatly help the Hawkins gang.

I originally believed that El and Hopper's plot would be about tracking her down.

I have this theory for stranger things five that Kali (aka 008 and El’s sister) is actually behind it all and is making everyone or maybe even just one person, maybe El herself, see all the rest of the stuff happening. I mean, there’s no way that the episode where El goes to see her sister was just pointless. I think the duffer brothers definitely know what they’re doing because it’s all connected so far except for that. Could be a long shot but I wanted to post this in advance so that in the crazily small chance that I’m right, I could brag that I told you so 🤭

For years now I have been seeing people say 008/Kali's powers make no sense compared to the other experiment's and Henry, that she's the odd one out and it wasn't planned well and badly written, I literally saw people saying the exact same thing last week on Twitter

But y'all know she has the exact same powers as Henry, right? While El has telekinesis, Kali has mind control and can cause hallucinations, just like him

Henry literally made his family hallucinate, and makes all his victims do the same by getting on their minds and showing them their fears and insecurities. I don't know if Kali can get onto people's minds like that, but she shows her arachnophobic friend spiders and shows El Dr Brenner, to mess with their minds. And it's so realistic that even if they already know it's not real, they are entranced by it

So tired of seeing people say her existence makes no sense, when her powers foreshadowed what was to come in s4

okay so now that we basically know Kali's back, how are we feeling about the Ms. Magazine foreshadowing that people called me stupid for ("people" being one person and i became self conscious about it).

especially considering Kali is normally depicted with either ten or four arms, yet this cover specifically shows eight arms. hm.

i did not at all come up with this, i actually dont have the info on the person that did :( i was just obsessed with the foreshadowing and would like to share now that its more relevant !

She returned the smile, however small.

“Well, Harrington or no, these rich fuckers look like they could afford some redecorating.” Axel pushed a vase off the fireplace, braying with a hyena’s laughter.

He watched as the precious porcelain shattered against the tile. Steve had been the first to clear the house, checking for signs of life, signs of trouble.

Or so he’d told them. Kali knew though, because she always knew him best. She had shaken her head at him, but said nothing.

She didn’t have to—her eyes said it all: there is nothing for you here.

In the end, she was right, just like she always was.

He had scoured the halls searching for any scrap of his past life. Maybe they had been missing him all this time, kept his baby room the same as it was, blue checkered walls thick with his mother’s perfume.

But there was nothing.

There were no portraits of a chubby baby boy, no treasured stuffed animals, or commemoration of his first steps.

Nothing.

I’m nothing.

The thought made something ache in his chest. So with a smile, rough and with too much teeth, he barked out, “Yeah. There’s nothing here those assholes can’t replace.”

there has GOT to be a reason we are being shown stage 8 in this behind the scenes shot - are they teasing a Kali return?

I think it was because he was abused or something and apparently had drinking problems? Like bruh you cannot claim to use subversion of 80s horror genre tropes and at the same breath make your black character one of the victims without even focusing on it. Its just...? St can really use some criticism sometimes

Yep it was because he had drinking problems and was a disgrace to his family as per the voiceover that Patrick and we hear as he's riding in the car with Jason n the gang. And then Lucas mentions that he once saw him with a black eye. That's it. That's all.

Patrick deserved way better. Even discounting the fact that he's black. The same episode had the stupid mid air fight between Murray Yuri and Jim's girlfriend. That lasted longer than necessary. That existed. Both valid reasons for having a more fleshed out buildup to THE MOTHERFUCKING SACRIFICE FOR ONE OF THE FOUR (NOT FOURTEEN) GATES.

Maybe if they cooled it on Eleven slow jogging through the lab, eyes wide, breathing heavily and emoting nothingly, Jopper doomsday fucking, Elmike/Mileven, (God stop milking it, it's not great writing, we are gaslighting ourselves to believe it is cuz there was a time we thought the most they'd do for gay Will is have his best friend say something INCREDIBLY HOMOPHOBIC to him), a Russian plot sillier than season 3's - fucking talent, I could go on we could've had something justifying (at the risk of sounding repetitive) A MOTHERFUCKING SACRIFICE FOR ONE OF THE FOUR (NOT FOURTEEN) GATES.

I'm not American so I'm not someone who gets the whole American experience of it. But American cultural colonisation means I'm somewhat aware of the tendencies in media. N to me personally I don't resonate with a white/black/brown American character on a racial level but just by how they're written n how well the work is performed. I do not live in a post racial world bt my country has its own different version of racism. That is to say any character being white/other colour is of ZERO value to me. So when I am consuming foreign media, I'll be like this is well written that is not. But then when I arrange them in order of well written to not or underwritten, it's a shade card alright. (🙋🏻🙆🏼🙅🏽🤷🏾🤦🏿) So ya. It's like white ppl tend to write white ppl better. What a discovery. Idk if to call it racist or "I don't see colour" in that I only see white cuz it is not a colour. (How is that for colour theory?) That is NOT to say that X CANNOT at all write about Y. Writing is after all a collaborative effort. It just means you gotta do both: collaborate and put effort.

ST exploits the tropes more than / before it subverts them. And like not in a good way. It's a fantastic show with plenty of opportunity to love it and shit on it in unequal measure tipping more in favour of shitting. And I'll be doing both. Especially regarding the characters that don't go by the name of Mike or Eleven. But them too.

You'll also see me Kali raging soon. Very soon. She might also be (DEFINITELY IS) why I have this whole new account anyway.

El's abuse > Kali's abuse. Okay. At least accepted within text by the writers. Want the "yass girlboss El shoulda snapped Angela's neck for....er...breaking your diorama and ....er......throwing milkshake on you" crowd to respectfully go. Just go. Go Away!

We have to remember how powerful Kali is, she really is the key against Vecna

her powers for me go beyond illusions. She can mess with the mind more than we realize, we just need to see more of it

And if she's responsible for saving Terry from his catatonic state (it's not my theory, it's a general consensus).

But how would this be useful for season 5?

Kali would be great against Vecna directly, since apart from their powers the two seem to have a connection.

It's obvious that Henry helped Kali escape and not only that, but he also put the idea of revenge into her head, which wasn't difficult as Kali had already had a bit of this instinct since she was a child.

Now we're starting to get paranoid, because now everything I say is speculation.

in the cold opening of season 4 we see "wife of shiva" and "Kali" this is crazy because they had already made this reference.

in the same scene we have 010 holding a magic ball 8 and then the phrase "Signs point to yes"

Henry mentioning her.

now let's raise the level of madness, this scene where the red pieces are over the numbers covering them and guess which numbers aren't covered? 8 and 1 exactly the experiments other than eleven that are alive.

now they're playing with the number 8 a lot in this season 5

i wouldn't find it strange if this stage was shown like this but the fact that millie enters stage 11 in a programmed video lying down detail by detail is definitely no coincidence

Now Noah followed Linnea (Kali) on Instagram on a random day, don't tell me it's not a sign because it is.... guys, season 2 will be 7 years old and do you really think there wasn't a good time for Noah to follow her? The Premiere for example
