So the Storybots are small and cute and have an episode where they learn how flowers grow and I may have made a mental connection to some creatures that are also small and cute and have an affinity for flowers and uh.

I should probably put this here since some of you Tumblr peeps may not be aware of this creation. If you don't know what this is, it's essentially a ranking/review video that I made last year covering all the StoryBots series and specials in FULL detail.

The video itself ended up being so popular to a point where the entire StoryBots production team (including Evan and Gregg themselves) got a hold of this video and left some really heartwarming comments on it. I'm still flabbergasted that my two idols had checked out my video and said nothing but praise and honor towards my channel, something I'd never thought would happen in my entire life. So I'm grateful that my work is now in the eyes of the OG people who made it.

If you're a huge StoryBots fan, then I highly recommend you check this video out, as it took me nearly 6 months to make, no joke. You'll be in for lots of fun facts, bits of humor, and some production history about the series you probably never knew before. Absolutely worth the watch!

How To Keep Kids Active In Covid-19 Lockdown?

Due to COVID-19, all schools, nurseries, camps and swimming pools are closed. All of us are stuck in this mundane life. Even our children have lost their playfulness. The fact that they cannot meet their friends or visit their grandparent’s house makes this lockdown summer vacation even more disastrous. 

So, in this blog we are going to shed some light on how to keep your kids active, educated and positive in this lockdown summer vacation. Let’s get started. Reading Is Blissful: All of us have heard, “books are our best friends”. Let’s teach our kids the same. Reading has enormous benefits. When your child reads something, his or her brain is active. The thought process develops. They get exposure to so many new words and ideas. So, give them a book of their interest and later discuss the story with them. If you have the luxury of time then read it together. Reading is a great way to bond with your kids. 

Encourage them to read often. Reading gives knowledge. Knowledge is one of the best assets for any individual. Also, reading helps a lot academically. Dynasty International School is one of the top schools in Faridabad. To know more about it, visit its official site.

Craft Memories: It’s seldom that we get family time in abundance. We are fortunate enough to have it currently. So, let craft memories for  lifetime. Make cards and photo frames with them using sheets and leftover ice-creams sticks. Give them innovative and fancy ideas on how to make cards for their grandparents and teachers. Make a family collage with them. Try vegetable painting with them. We assure you every memory will be worth it!!

Games Are Fun: Dust your childhood memories and talk about them with your children while playing your childhood games like ludo, carrom, chess, snake ladder or monopoly. All CBSE schools in Faridabad and pan India shall remain close until the next notice.

Movies, Programmes, and Shows: Add intriguing and informative shows, movies, or programmes in your bucket list. Netflix, prime and youtube have an array of good shows, movies and programmes with really good content. Ask the Storybots, Brainchild,  The magic school bus, Hindi Medium,  The Lunchbox,  Our Planet, Little Baby Bum, Magic humans are some of the many shows and movies that your kids will love watching.

Make Them Responsible: Involve your kids in all the household chores that you do. Give him or her a task to do. This will not only make them responsible but they will also know how to do that task. Encourage them to give their best shot while doing it. It can be anything small like asking them to get their dishes into the sink or filling up water bottles or throwing wrappers in the dustbin, arranging their wardrobe, etc. We hope the above mentioned summer fun activities give a break to your kids from this monotonous lockdown summer vacation.

Had fun with this one I especially think it's funny because Furbies were banned from the Pentagon for being suspicious and maybe spying on people. (They were not that technology didn't exist in Furbies until Furby connect but for Kinito reasons fun to think about.)

Little guy eated the bubbles and lost his mouth privileges. Based on Axolotls will do that and his profile on the Web World saying he likes chasing after bubbles and the fact that Web World Kinito and the Kinito Companion have mouths but our lil desktop Kinito does not.

Been a while since I've done a proper digital art of my beloved Beep Storybots. Might be a little rusty but it's good to come back to her. Love her and her weird standards of what nonsense is or isn't acceptable so it felt right to have these two interact. Also really had fun with shading hooray! yippee!

School agad agad at 20 months? Probably you’re one of the few who told me I’m rushing and pushing my son at a young age. For a few days I was trying to understand Jaden’s behavior. He would throw my phone when I asked him to watch his favorite shows. When I open the TV to watch StoryBots, he would get the remote control and turn it off. Then after, he would get his books and will tell you “read”. His lola told me he would get his books after playing his toys and will hold her hand and point at the image and will tell you, “apple, corn, grapes, etc.” He got bored and probably looking and hungry to learn new things. He was asking us to teach him instead of showing him whatever he would learn at youtube or TV. So I sent him to school where he could have fun and learn at the same time.

For me, Gymboree is not your typical kind of school where you will learn and have exams after. I was hesitant too when I was thinking of sending Jaden at school. What would be his reactions? Am I too pushy? Do I have big expectations for him? But these questions where answered when we go there for the first time. I was wrong. In fact, this is the best decision I’ve made as a parent.

Gymboree is a place where a kid regardless of how young they are, would learn, play and had fun fun at the same time. We enrolled for Art, Music and Play and Learn Class at 45 minutes each class.

I could send him to his cousin or friend to play for interactions while I’m at work. But kids nowadays play with their gadget. Honestly, I could teach him at home but I believe that it’s more fun when you do it with someone.

He had Art class on his first day. He was curious, bibbo and excited at the same time. He was wondering what he will do with kids surrounding him. He was soo bibbo that you could hear his voice outside. Why i know that? Because his lola is waiting for us outside. He’s too curious that he couldnt wait for his art materials to be handed out to him. He couldn’t wait for his turn and that is something I need to work out on him. He needs to learn patience. Why? Because in life, you wont get anything always and you wont get them agad agad.

The thing about teaching Jaden patience is its double edge. Teaching him to patient means taking my patience to extra level. I have to learn to be patience and that teaching and learning is not overnight. He has a lot to learn. After all, he’s only 20months and I have to be patient and constantly reminding myself to let us enjoy the activity and not pressure him to absorb whatever he needs to learn in school.

He took Music class on his second day. He’s a little grumpy probably because he only slept for 2 hrs and we had to wake him up for his class. I did inquire for morning class but they aren’t.

Oh on the other hand, I noticed a big difference between yaya and a parent during class. I’d like to say if you enroll your child but you won’t attemd instead ask a yaya to go there on your behalf, chances are your’e wasting your money. There are good yayas of course. They were willing to participate and help and guide their “alaga” to grow and learn but there are those who arent. I saw a yaya just waiting at the corner for her alaga. She’s just looking at her alaga not encouraging the kid learn. True, it’s tiring to look after a toddler. I won’t argue with that. But that’s the reality of life, getting good yaya nowadays is hard so when you do, treasure them like family because they are treating your child as their own.

I have a lot to learn and I actually learned and realized a lot on Jaden’s first week. This parenthood is not easy but by the grace of God. He will sustain me.

this song is like a fever dream tbh

that whole episode is something else. I blame the fact that Beep and Boop aren’t there. They leave for a few minutes and suddenly Bang has shot everyone into space. Also recycled animation with Hap at the beginning.

It’s all still really fun and Bing is really fun and I like how Bo sorta stepped up into de facto leadership in Beep’s stead.

but yeah that song feels really weird especially in comparison to other Storybots songs. None of the other ones are… like that. And there’s not even a fun art style change.
