Ok, info sheet abt my sides!!

I don't have time to draw them all so here's the picrew I used XD

Creativity

Name: Aurora

She's very fun, a bit loud and can be kinda bossy sometimes. Definitely likes to do creative projects her own way. Constantly tries to drag the other sides away from their work to work on projects or play games with her. Loves music and acting. Pretty much always has faer nose in a book, whether she's writing or reading.

Anxiety

Name: Avery

Anxious about literally everything, as their role suggests. Xae try to always look on the bright side, even if it's hard, and often deflects with humour. Rambles a lot when they get anxious. Likes to be surrounded by familiar things that make them feel calm. Does Not like leaving the house. Usually wears jumpers and comfy clothes.

Depression

Name: Lake

Very sad all the time but tries not to show it and bring others down. Doesn’t talk much. Gives the best hugs. Always has a heavy crocheted blanket wrapped around faer shoulders. Very close with Avery. When one or both of them are having a bad day, they can often be found huddled together under Lake's blanket.

Logic

Name: Laurel

Always tries (and often fails) to be punctual. Loves space and maths. Has trouble seeing things from other people's perspectives, and doesn't understand why everyone doesn't think completely logically. Although they don't understand why Avery and Lake feel so depressed and anxious, is very close with both of them and tries to be nice to them. Is absolutely not infallible, and can often be swayed to anxiety's and depression's ways of thinking, and can end up accidentally enforcing their spirals.

Anger

Name: Alexis

Also embodies self-preservation, bitterness and jealousy. Isn't allowed a 'seat at the table' so to speak, very often when making group decisions. Acts on impulse and makes rash decisions. Has a hard time accepting they're wrong. Doesn't get along with the other sides but will do anything to protect them.

I have a question for everyone if that’s okie

Do you guys like hugs and cookies? If so how would you all react to a hug and WARM cookies?

Aurora: Those are literally two of my favourite things in the world!! Warm cookies are the best, especially if they have chocolate chips!

Laurel: I will accept a hug or cookies if they are offered.

Avery: Oh yes I love cookies! And hugs are nice, they make me feel safe.

Lake: Mhm. I like hugs too, they're comforting. And cookies are tasty, even though they get crumbs in my bed.

Alexis: I don't need hugs, I'm not a sappy loser like this lot. I'll take the cookies though.

so my younger cousin is flying in to visit from brazil on sunday, and will be staying here for like, the entirety of july. which, don't get me wrong, is super cool! i love the kid! but it felt like a super weird move, considering his parents are the SUPER strict and borderline helicopter parents. even the smallest prank/roughousing with him/his little sister would lead to a strict talking to from his parents, he couldn't ever do anything without their clear permission, that sort of stuff. so letting him fly at alone at 16 to a whole different country and stay there for a whole month seemed WILDLY out of character. additionally, it just felt like a super last-minute trip. it's not like we have any plans to do when he gets here, and the flight itself and stuff only got booked like, midway through june.

and i was talking to my mom about it, kind of trying to nudge some answers out of her, and after a while she went, "yeah, i think they're sending him over here to get away for his boyfriend. see if the distance breaks them off." which, first of all, surprised me because last i checked, they didn't KNOW he had a boyfriend. literally everyone in the family did EXCEPT for them because while that entire side of the family being semi-conservative, his parents (mostly his dad) are EXTREMELY old-fashioned. so clearly something already went wrong. and considering the only reason the rest of the family knew is because one person found out and it spread like wildfire, i have a sneaking suspicion he wasn't the one to tell them, either.

and second of all. they're sending him HERE. to try to make him forget his homosexuality. i couldn't do anything but just wordlessly gesture to the multiple pride flags scattered around my room, then to myself, because really? he has like two other cousins in the us and they're sending him to me? honey i am about to introduce this kid to queer scenes you have never even heard of. he'll be returning home with labels only shrimp can perceive

been thinking about how the fantastic four would probably start up around when peter is 16 and i was like "how would they even work in LoF canon" and i've decided peter is gonna have a one sided beef with johnny for the pettiest reason and then start to feel bad, only for them to have a misunderstanding of sorts (idk yet) and thus their two sided beef begins until they figure it out. that's like. the gist of johnny and peter, right?

You know what makes me particularly happy? GET ROMANCED LIAM O BRIAN! Seeing him just sitting there al red and shy getting a bucket full of love dumped on him was good for my soul.

In campaign one he was the trail blazer of romance and did most of the heavy lifting with confessions and general romancing.

In campaign two he said "I'm not doing that again, been there done that". We all know how that went ... But it did mostly happen behind the curtains, off game, so he didn't get to experience it.

But ROBBIE WENT ALL OUT with this declaration, he really said I'll do romance and I'll do it good and Liam really deserved to be on the other side of that. I'm glad Orym couldn't gather his courage first, I think that was just right

For Aurora, What's your favorite form of creative expression? (Examples: Art, Writing, Editing, etc.)

Aurora: Can I answer all of them?? Ok so I really like writing and art but I love love love music!! I can play any instrument that our person (Storm) plays, which is violin and piano! I'd love to learn guitar and harp and drums and maybe some brass and woodwind, but somebody won't let us sign up for lessons.

Laurel: For the last time, Aurora, we don't have time at the moment. Storm needs to focus on their degree and-

i’ve been loving watching critical role recently if for no other reason than because i get to watch a decent portion of viewers actively falling for cult tactics lmao

a forbes article describes cult tactics as when cult leaders “censor dissenting viewpoints, promote a distorted narrative and use relentless repetition and peer pressure”

ludinus needing to monologue at everyone he meets. cherry picking what information to let people know (ie the orb). showing popular world leaders (gods?) at their absolute worst as a means to win over the vulnerable. creating dissent between cult prospects and the people who they’re close to outside the cult. doesn’t take no for an answer. repeating his points over and over, in whatever context he thinks will be most persuasive. targeting people who’ve lost everything. convincing people that they’re special
