People are just awesome you know? Its not everyday it is said and we try to keep what is said and learned close to heart but, people are just great. Nothing sarcastic about it, I'm so honored to have met and enjoyed each day with any person or individual who comes by our little small world. It warms our hearts really and lets us abide back from the constant mental crises we go through nearly daily. I'm grateful to have this, I'm grateful to have you and I hope we all can keep being awesome and enjoy the rest of this year at our own pace. We got this! Keep going, you will get through this! this post is gonna be for all of my onyx storm thoughts while reading (I didn’t do this with iron flame even though I did for fourth wing, but since onyx just came out I want to make sure I’m not spoiling anything for anyone who hasn’t started it yet 🖤)

16. How does your OC make money? Do they have a respectible profession or work a series of odd jobs? Are they a criminal? Or do they get creative in the pursuit of coin?

He Used to make money by working for Eggman. It wasn't much since he didn't ask for much, just enough to keep himself supplied

Nowadays he doesn't really make any money since he's with the resistance, and he has people around him that insist on taking care of him in that regard which he still isn't really used to

10. Is your OC sentimental or pragmatic? Do they keep mementos or only what they need to survive? Have they always been this way or did something happen to make them change?

Despite everything, Storm's sentimental. Losing everything at a young age had the opposite effect on him in terms of what he decides to keep-- survival was important, but what worth was it if he had nothing to hold dear?

He left his house full of memories, but did eventually return for the things he found to be most important (photos and recordings of his dad)

And for a while there he kept his dad's jacket and his knife with him at all times.

Things are much better now, but he's not likely to change his ways. If anything he's bound to double down on them as he comes to terms with immortality. What good is survival if he has nothing to remember the people that made him feel like a person by?

12. Is your OC cynical or optimistic? Who or what shaped their outlook on life?

Sylvan tries to be optimistic, but depending on the situation he can get pretty cynical. The optimism comes easy. He's been all over the world, and met so many people. There's places he frequently goes back to for either their beauty or the people he's met there, or both.

But then sometimes, the cynicism hits him like a truck. Idk much about Syl's early life still, but I do at least know that the events of Unleashed played a part in it. The world getting literally broken apart isn't easy to stay optimistic through, and it being overrun by a being that feeds on negative energy didn't help that one bit.

For all their travels and meet ups, Sylvan was alone in that moment. The world was seemingly ending, and he didn't really have someone to go to at that time.

Rn I'm still trying to workshop what the zombot virus was like for them, and so far I have a non-canon 'bad end' that comes up entirely because they lose their partner in it and get pretty much overrun by their own issues and cynicism. It's a 'bad end' even though the world still gets saved, since they don't really recover emotionally from it and their optimism is absolutely shot to death whoops

Yknow, I have SOME personal solace in the wake of the whole RT Destruction catastrophe (specifically with rvb and rwby) in the form of my friends who I’ve known since 2015 expanding on the characters’ past (AND PRESENT) and making sick ass headcanons and motives, etc

SO MUCH SO that I always kinda just am like. Yeah they’re RT characters but my friends have always had The Rights

I was a little silly today, (I picked the Shadow and Bone trilogy back up since they’re the only books in the Grishaverse I haven’t read yet and I read all 432 pages of Siege and Storm in one day) but I’m literally just a girl

I've basically not been on my laptop for a week and now I'm absolutely lost trying to look through my files trying to figure out where things are saved and screaming at past me for how bad my filing (or rather, naming) system is-

Though admittedly taking a break from things like writing has kinda helped with rebooting my brain a bit, I'm feeling more motivated to do things now such as writing.

I also know I've been tagged for WIP Wednesday during the week! I'll get to that some point this weekend and will look at what I've been tagged in too! 😊
