I LOVE THIS BOY

This was the first version of Leatherhead I've ever seen and while I love ALL versions... Yeah, no this one's the best one, I take no arguments or exceptions lmao.

I'm legit pissed we were robbed of a Rise LH because I feel, in general as a whole he's not utilized ENOUGH.

Especially 03 LH.

This boy, is literally the turtles big brother? He shares a direct origin with them, with the Utroms!

Like, seriously you know what? We got to see Turtle Tots, where was my "Baby LH?" I doubt he mutated to an adult already.

I really wish we had gotten a chance to see his life actually growing up with them, as family because I can only imagine.

The way he re-finds himself, after that loss, thanks to the guys and especially with how fast they went,

"BIG BROTHER? BIG BROTHER?! OURS NOW!" collecting sibling figures like pokemon trainers on route 1. I love how, the writers leaned wholly into his role both as a combatant and an intellectual. He's not afraid to defend himself... or acknowledge, there's even limitations to his own prowess.

I always loved reptiles as a kid, like I was the kid who was always tuned into animal planet and stuff, so getting into this show, ALREADY LOVING REPTILES? And then THIS GUY APPEARS?

Big crocodile man?

Plus, my first introduction to TMNT was Good Genes which featured him quite heavily, so he's always been a favorite of mine, due to that memory. His bond with the guys, especially Donnie is just so darn sweet and seriously, we needed just more of this guy in general. I love how Master Splinter just readily accepts him as another kid, his boys brouught home for him.

"Ah yes, my sixth son, the crocodile. 4 turtle sons, a caveman son and a crocodile son."

As a whole I just adore this guy!!!

Also, I HATE HIS BACK TO THE SEWERS DESIGNS massive downgrade L level downgrade. DEAR GOD

ALso, Fast Forward season 2 was supposed to show that he lived that long? That he was STILL AROUND? (And given the oldest on record was a whopping 122 years old? I think a mutant with access to tech to keep himself healthy, would absolutely be still around. Frankly, I'm stunned FF season 1 didn't have him as at least a DECENT ADULT for Cody to be around. (Then again if Leatherhead saw Darius Dunn HOLY SHIT he'd be dead...)

Yurikuma Arashi (2015)

Yesterday I finished reading Hana ni Arashi.

In my opinion this one is like a masterclass in Yuri manga, I wouldn’t put it above Bloom Into You or Moon on a Rainy Night but I can safely rate it 10/10.

The premise of the story is pretty simple and quite light-hearted, but the approach to it was done so well. It has a very slow start but eventually you end up stuck reading it and wonder “Wow, how did we get here?”.

In the beginning it starts off as kind of a slice of life, each chapter focusing on just 1 event during one random day, but eventually it starts flowing in a more cohesive direction.

It does have all the tropey stuff for a manga of its kind but they were done very well and after all that’s why they are tropes cuz people tend to like them.

The art was really good as well, some panels I couldn’t help but stop and admire and the only thought I had was just “beautiful” while crying at how heart-warming it was.

Good Genes was the first episode of this show I ever saw too...

Yeah guilty. And to make it worse...

Of course, my favorite turtle, is the one I first saw *going through the horrors*.

Err... so that plot bunny that attacked me and that you people were supposed to talk me OUT of writing is bouncing around in my head like... well, like a bunny.

So, I might just end up writing it, after all, and posting it between getting chapters of Something Wicked and Duck And Cover up. And since it is a one-shot, that shouldn't be too big a deal...

But...

It's a 2003 fic involving Donatello, an invention, self-experimentation, hubris, and regret... and it might have an ending that is just open enough that people might get mad at me about it...

HANA ARASHI

I love it when I’m reading One Piece fanfiction…

…and Zoro uses the Hana Arashi/Nosestorm nickname on Usopp. Especially as a term of endearment or when Usopp is in angst mode. and he needs the team's comfort and encouragement. And Zoro showcases comfort and encouragement in his own way by uttering that nickname alone. The authors of such fanfics seem to include this as an inside joke shared between the swordsman and sniper; a moment that Usopp looks at in embarrassment, but a moment that Zoro acknowledges fondly.

I think it gives insight into their relationship and dynamic wonderfully.

It's endearing and sweet. I'd like for this to happen canonically. Like, for real. Like, Zoro just utters it in one scene out of nowhere and Usopp's face gets read in utter embarrassment. Everyone else is clueless, but Zoro just chuckles to himself with a smirk. Or maybe it's in a moment of fear when Usopp risks his life or something.

As I've said in previous posts, I definitely do think that they both wholeheartedly trust in each other's abilities and strengths.

3: My Non-Romantic OTP For this Character

For 2003 Raphael!

My favorite friendship, for 2003 Raph is his friendship with Casey. These two are each other's ride or die friendship.

Raph and Casey will always go to bat LITERALLY with each other.

They also help each other, ironically mellow out. When they first meet each other, they're at their most tense in that moment, but as the series goes on, Casey is just part of the family. He's not afraid to tell Raph what he NEEDS to hear, not what he wants to hear and vice versa. There's no need for sparing their feelings, they can handle it. And I love that. Cause let's remember: At any point, Casey would've after EVERYTHING they've been through, been 100% in the right to walk away.

And he didn't.

You only risk your life and limb for family and Raph and Casey's friendship/bond as brother figures to each other is AMAZING.

Also, Raph is Casey's wingman, let's be real.

He basically went: "I am trusting you, with my sister DO NOT SCREW THIS UP!" when it came to April.

Casey's farmhouse is his second home, it's just as important as the Lair.

I was rewatching The Monster Hunter the other night and just... aahh.. Farmhouse arc episodes are always so good.

So yeah, there's my thoughts. Thank you!
