I couldn't pass by this day, since storks were my favourite birds in childhood - thanks to their contrasting coloring, elegance and big black-and-white wings.

Here is a weirder mashup that I thought could work. Praying mantis blue heron. When I think of animals similar to a praying mantis I can only think of the stalking and snagging approach of water birds. Maybe in a world with huge praying mantises they can also fill that niche.

Painted Storks, for the "Nesting" card in in the Flight module for the board game Nature. Look at this beautiful stork! I fell in love quickly when looking at fun nest structures to use for this card. They have a PINK BUTT*!

*Butt= long feathers on the wing that overlap the tail when folded, not an actual butt. But like, it could be, if you dream hard enough.
