"Basically what happens is, Grace and Max are right about to win. They're right about to do it. And then, there's a groaning. In the floorboards. Suddenly, the staircase gives out beneath Grace and Max, and they fall through the floors. They fall stories. Pieces of wood shove through their chests, and they both are killed."
"But keep this in mind, nothing truly dies in the Waylon house. Grace and Max become ghosts, and they're off doing whatever, but they're no longer involved in the tournament."
So.. that Pit Stop in Hatchetfield tag team deathmatch huh.

According to NBC here in the US, the missing titanic sub has been found. As debris. Off the bow of the Titanic wreckage.
And it looks like the sub suffered what we all suspected, and what was undoubtedly the more merciful of the two options: a catastrophic implosion from the pressure.
Also, more info has come to light about the fishing trawler with the hundreds of migrants that sank cataclysmically off the coast of Greece, indicating that the greek coast guard knew about the vessel AND how much trouble the vessel was in, and were towing it at a speed that made it capsize, at which point they unhooked the tow line and watched the trawler sink without helping the passengers to safety. Despite a bunch of other ships trying to help as well throughout the whole ordeal.
So a lot of people are dead, all because of regulations (and the lack thereof) regarding sea-faring vessels and rescue protocols. People shouldnt be allowed to make a business charging a ton of money for a ride on an uncertified, unsafe, un-seaworthy ship going deep into the ocean with no distress beacon or tether to the mothership. People also shouldnt be allowed to enact laws that criminalize the ferrying of refugees, which then force the refugees to hitch rides on fishing trawlers, and which also prevent people from helping those fishing trawlers full of refugees due to fear of legal consequences.
Hopefully BOTH of these events spark changes on an international scale in terms of what is legally allowed to be sailed, who is legally allowed to be the passengers, and what the rescue protocols are in the event of disaster for any seafaring vessel, illegal or not. It shouldnt be just the global 1% who get 24/7 search parties and remote-operated submersibles helping rescue them.

Meet the Character: Stops-His-Heart
Tumblr media
Covert Report
Frostfall 12, 2E 583
Your grace: it took considerable digging, but I finally have insights to report on the assassination of Primate Artorius. The Dark Brotherhood sent not one assassin but several to topple the primate. However, this does not suggest that just one of their number is not capable of such carnage as we previously thought. I’ve still no clue as to who delivered the killing blow to the primate, or if indeed the assassins fell upon him all at once (highly unlikely).
I learned the identity of one of the assassins, rather directly I might add. An Argonian by the name of Stops-His-Heart, a shadowscale as it were. Your grace, we’ve every right to be wary as shadowscales are said to serve the people of Argonia. Though he indicated otherwise, I would not be surprised if his loyalty was foremost to his people.
I should perhaps clarify. I met with the assassin directly, albeit not of my own accord. My inquiries were not as subtle as I had believed. He cornered me at the Publick House in Anvil and insisted on buying me a drink. I somehow felt compelled. My fear aside, he was more cordial than threatening. Regardless, I was hesitant to drink even though the waitress poured us both the same drink from the same bottle. An Argonian would always have the advantage at a dinner table.
He didn’t remark on my reluctance at all and went right into matters. He told me he had heard I had been discreetly looking for trouble. I explained to him—once again, not of my own accord—that I was working for the Count Kvatch (my many apologies, your grace, I know you wished to remain distant from this) to learn more about the Dark Brotherhood. All the while, I found myself staring into his eyes more than was acceptable.
Stops chuckled and said, ‘Count Carolus shouldn’t be so worried about his business partners, but we can forgive the professional curiosity’. I have said nothing of this to anyone else, your grace. He asked me what I wanted to know and this time I felt free to answer. I asked him first and foremost if Stops-His-Heart was his actual name.
He eyed me for a moment, and I could feel the hairs on my neck standing as he did. Then he responded: ‘It’s what I go by. I’d prefer to keep my Saxhleel name to myself if you don’t mind’. I made a mental note to follow up on this, but I regret to say I’ve nothing to report. I can say that of his aliases (of which there are few), Stops-His-Heart is the one I could find him by most. Peculiar to say the least, as I’ve not uncovered the identity of his fellow assassins. Almost like among their number, he is quite brazen.
Instinct begged me to excuse myself. But I looked into his eyes again and I asked him if he was only a dagger for hire. He smirked and shook his head. He explained to me he performed clandestine work for the Order of the Sacred Ashes and the Sekiryu clan. I asked him to elaborate, as I was entirely certain the Ashen Knights were not ones for illicit activities.
He explained, ‘working within the law can only get you so far’. He went on and told me that the Order had a sub-sect of Ashen Knights who were versed in subterfuge. They were called the ‘Peacekeepers’. In his way of explaining: sometimes to track down Daedra and cultists, you need to get information in unconventional ways. Sometimes, to eliminate particular cultists, you need a sharp knife and a deft hand.
As for his work with the Sekiryu clan, it’s more or less cloak and dagger work performed on the battlefield. If all that he says has been true (and I daresay it has), I’ve been led to believe the Sekiryu have battlefield assassins known as ‘Dragon-Fangs’. As we’ve heard of the reports from Cyrodiil, your grace knows as well as I do the Sekiryu fight hard and fast in the name of the Pact. I suppose it should not come as surprise they employ martially trained rogues to assist in neutralising enemy garrisons.
He then gestured to my drink and somewhat ‘commanded’ me to partake. After a toast to you, your grace, he told me that purified chamomile induces a deep sleep. He said something else about Argonians, but I missed it due to loss of consciousness. When I awoke, he was gone but I believe he left a message for you. I’ve enclosed it with this report.
Your Faithful Servant

in light of the coming sans vs cecil finale, i have to say that there is no bad outcome to this now. you did it. you mad sons of bitches, you did it. we could vote this like a true sexyman showdown or we could vote this for a gag, it doesn't matter anymore. but most importantly, the question that this poll raises is...
WHERE is the undertale/wtnv crossover episode where cecil announces monsterkind's return to the surface right outside of town. because "thousands of weird creatures came out of the nearby people-eating mountain after millennia of imprisonment and are currently settling into town via wacky hijinks" is a VERY night vale thing to happen
(UPDATE: you should check the full post cause i swear to god if y'all mention the goddamn mountains again)

I've been thinking about FH:JY lately and about the characters and how their stories just arched over three seasons and told a beautiful tale of growing up. I thought about how Junior Year ended and how Freshman Year began.
Then I remembered. Brennan would have let Gorgug die.
First day filming first campaign and a PC is full dead. No one had revivify much less diamonds on him. And Brennan 100% would have just let that happen. And was going to. Except for one thing.
Kristen died too.
Think about that. Brennan Lee Mulligan had two dead PC's on his hand. First day of filming just one session and shit already hit the fan. He had to Episode Two'd to get shit back on track and revive the both of them.
Both of them. Not just one. Both.
If Kristen had made her save, if she had survived and live, Gorgug would be dead. There would be no dad finding, there would be no exploring his roots, no greatest wizard of all time, no "its Gorgug keep going", no gentle kindness or loving support for his friends, no nothing. He would have been a shy insecure kid holding a tin flower hoping for a friend that ended up dead the first day of school.
But Kristen Applebees saved him.
She saved him by dying herself.
Her death, the one started her personal journey of faith and enloghtenment, forced not only the gods within her world to act, but the DM as well. The guy that literally made their world, Brennan Lee Mulligan, had to act because Kristen death was too much.
Honestly as powerful as the Narrative Nat 20 is, her first ture miracle was on the first day of school, when her death saved Gorgug

In which the kaminoans make a simple clerical error and hand Prime the wrong clone; Jango spends months doting on and loving his son only for them to come to him and apologize: they confused his unaltered clone with CC-2224. They take his son his Kote the clone from his arms and settle another little bundle there and it pulls loose the thought he’d been so desperate to never think: they’re just babies. Children. If there wasn’t something intrinsically different between them, then Jango had condemned children to death.
Jango can feel a massive headache coming on as he clutches the clone the child his son and wonders where he took a wrong turn in his life.
