idea: Roxy goes into excited puppy mode when Cassie gets off the school bus and the other kids all yell "HI ROXY" and she is just THRIVING. the BEST part of her day
Yeeeeeesssss
Cassie's first day back at school has Roxy waiting for her to come back all day long and all that pent up energy from the day just explodes the second Cassie is back... Laying on the couch staring sadly at the door, waiting for the moment Eddie comes to get her so they can go pick her up from school or the bus stop or whatever. She hates school with a burning passion because Cassie should be able to do whatever she wants forever! This is such bullshit why can't Cassie stay and fuck around with her all day instead?! That's so unfair!!!
Honestly this is giving me the mental image of the bus passing the Plex and the second it does, Roxy leaps through the broken window and floors it down the street after it. Meteors Roxy (cause she's stuck in my brain) specifically just running full speed on her fours as fast as physically possible to reach the bus stop before Cassie's bus. First few times she does it, she howls a bit so Cassie definitely sees her running on the path beside the road, and now it's a daily thing lmao
Just a bus full of kids either cheering for the bus driver to go faster or cheering Roxy on as she races the bus everyday. Cassie is, of course, on Roxy's side every time, and it's actually remarkable how often she wins. The bus driver has taken to it and plays along sometimes, speeding up when the roads are quiet so the kids start cheering and slowing down to let Roxy catch up if something's caught her up like a group of slow walkers or something. They honk the horn as they go past the Plex and it's become the start sound of another race starting. They hear the beep beep of the bus and the kids swarm the windows to watch Roxy catapult herself out of the Plex window and rocket after them. The driver thought they'd had her one time, but she fucking barrelled around the corner and only just made it before the bus did lmao she got a congratulatory handshake for that one too she really did just rob them of the win dnjdnd
Cassie gets off the bus and is immediately flying tackled by a very out of breath Roxy. She's swept off her feet in a spinning hug, and if Roxy loses the race and is still running when Cassie steps off it? Well she meets her in the middle and they get to tackle eachother! It makes her feel so important and so loved it's unreal, especially because she knows one hundred percent that Roxy really does love her to bits and wouldn't go to this much effort for anyone else. The feeling is mutual, Cassie just can't fucking race a moving vehicle to show it lmao nsjdn. However, they've both been told they need to dial it down a bit because Roxy has bruised both of them a decent number of times with how hard she crashes into her... Cassie doesn't really care though, it just sort of stings after the fun wears off and later on when she pulls it too much. Totally worth it though!
And if there's a kid that doesn't believe that Roxy is Cassie's sister now? There's a whole bus load of kids that witness her racing the fucking bus everyday so she can see her again as soon as physically possible that can back them up lmao. She's a favourite among the kids on that bus, the door opens to kids cheering for her whenever she wins the race and for the bus driver whenever she loses. It's so fucking fun and the highlight of her and Cassie's day! It's something to look forward to for the kids at the end of the school day too, her antics are a little mood boost for some of them it's great! She sometimes wears a silly hat or costume for the added surprise of it lmao. That part was Sunny's idea of course, and Chica and Bonnie help her do it.
Ya know what too? If Bonnie or someone changes in Meteors and also starts doing it on occasion, the kids go wild cause now it's a THREE way race!! And holy shit Roxy is somehow faster than a giant rabbit how is that even possible?! She tells anyone that asks that it's pure skill, but Bonnie always says that she's so excited to Cassie every day that it lets her do the impossible with ease... Roxy doesn't really like that explanation cause it makes her sound soft as fuck but it also makes her sound pretty cool being able to do the impossible so... She's a bit torn lmao
And if Roxy isn't there for whatever reason? Everyone's asking Cassie what's wrong. Roxy got sick for a while and Cassie came back from school one day during that with a bunch of get well soon presents for her, Roxy feels so loved by this group of ten year olds she's never met lmao. Would be extra sweet if Roxy made a point to make something to give them all in return too as a thank you, like she and Cassie made cupcakes for everyone on the bus when she was feeling up to it or something. She's gotta make sure her adoring fans know she appreciates them, right? And Cassie doesn't mind being the middle man here. She finds it pretty satisfying to be able to have large groups of kids listen to her and be excited to see what she's brought them. It's pretty fun honestly! She enjoys it more than she expected to!
Cassie is just so important to Roxy that she'd race a bus to say hi... By sweeping her off her feet and swinging her around with joy because CASSIE'S BAAAACCCKKK!!!! WOOOO!!! BEST PART OF HER DAY, YOU RIGHT ANON!!! ESPECIALLY IF SHE BEAT THE BUS TOO!!! SHE'S WINNING AT EVERYTHING!!!
#fnaf security breach#roxanne wolf#meteors roxy#meteors au#because its most applicable to that au#but oh boy has this given me some cassie story arc ideas!#i just need to get a good solid grasp on Cassie's character i think#i mostly have one but i don't talk about her enough for it to be that solid#i love Cassie... and so does Roxy!!#and if you're wondering why roxy doesn't slow down to minimise damage to herself and cassie...#1. she forgets and 2. she doesn't actually realise she's doing it#she has to be told and shown the evidence for her to understand that shes the one doing it#and cassie isn't getting hurt at school or getting up to other stuff without her#eddie: roxy. you've bruised yourself from here to here.#roxy: psh its fine its worth it for cassie!!#eddie: you've bruised cassie too.#roxy: WHAT???? NO I HAVEN'T!!!#she's DEVASTATED nsjsndj#it's not that bad or anything but she's acting like she's fucking stabbed her djjdnd#stops tackling her but she's so focused on not doing that she ends up just vibrating in place dnjdn#Cassie just... tackles her with every ounce of strength in her body#which also bruises cause shes stronk#so now it's a lost cause and they go back to flying tackling eachother instead but with a little pillow to soften the blow lmao#snjdndj oh yeah and roxy could also like#make gifts in return for the get well soon gifts that match what they gave her#for example she gets given a bracelet so she makes a bracelet with Cassie's help in return#someone draws her some stuff and she spends ages drawing something just as good to give them back#except roxy isn't great at any of these things so she's trying so hard#bdkdndid wait what if she ends up with a back and forth with some kids#like pen pals!! but its with the kids of the bus!! and cassie gets to be their messenger!!

new girl
kika nazareth x reader
summary: you never wanted to be vulnerable until she came along
trope: grumpy (reader) x sunshine (kika)
on the pitch, you were ruthless.
you were never afraid to accept a challenge, or do a tackle. the rock-hard mentality of yours never wavered.
you were given the captain role at an early age for your childhood club team-- accepting huge responsibility and holding others accountable for their faults was something you weren't scared of doing.
when barcelona offered you a contract to play for the B-team at 15, you accepted it. you were a ruthless defender and having you means that an oppositions striker wouldn't have a chance to score on you.
now at 21, you've grown into a reliable, if somewhat grumpy, presence on the senior team. however, you were the best defender in the world.
your serious demeanor on and off the field is well-known, and while you're never outright mean-- with your actions showing your teammates that you have a high level of respect for them-- your reserved nature keeps you at a tiny distance from them.
its the 24/25 season and the coach assigns you, patri, and keira to show the new girls around the place.
keira chose to help ellie around, patri chose to be with ewa, so you were chosen to be with kika nazareth-- a forward coming from benfica.
after showing her around the pitch, the media rooms, where the lounge area was-- you ended up in the locker rooms with her.
"so here is our last stop! this is the locker room-- your locker will be next to mine," you say, pointing to the empty space beside the locker where your blue cleats sat.
"thank you! i'm so excited to be here and get started." kika beams, her enthusiasm almost tangible.
"welcome to the team. if you need anything, just ask me or any of the captains." you nod, a small smile tugging at your lips despite yourself.
over the next few weeks, kika's sunshine personality shines even brighter.
she greets everyone each morning with a smile, always has a positive word, and is the first to offer help or encouragement.
you find yourself drawn to kika's warmth, wanting to keep yourself around the fellow 21 year old-- even if you don't fully understand why.
in training, you started to notice how kika gravitated towards you, asking for advice or just chatting.
initially, you respond with your usual reserved tone. you wanted to stay focused on the training so you were on top of your game for there next match-- but kika's persistence starts to break down your walls.
in the locker rooms one day, you were finished chatting to ingrid and mapi about their future plans. they were talking about going to visit Ingrids family in norway during a week-long break, which you said that it would be good for them.
kika noticed that you were finished with your conversation with the couple, so she placed her hand on your shoulder to grab your attention before anyone else could.
"y/n, are you doing anything after this?" kika asked.
you looked at her with a light smile before turning away to put your cleats in the locker, "no, why?"
"do you want to go grab a coffee?" kika asks, a little hesitant that you might reject her offer.
"sure, I guess. coffee sounds good." you say before standing up and headed towards the doors.
kika watched you with knitted eyes before you turned around at the door, "are you coming?" you smirked.
"oh- yes!" kika jumped up and followed you out the doors.
your post-practice coffee runs with kika become a routine.
kika starts to talk about her family, her dreams, and her love for the game right away-- while you listen.
after a few weeks, you start to slowly open up about your own experiences. the way that kika kept her full attention on you while you spoke was something that you silently appreciated.
"you know, I've been admiring how dedicated you are to the team. I used to see it from another teams perspective and go, "damn she's tough." but now I realize how much you love and care for us." kika says one evening.
your eyes twinkle at this. if you had to pinpoint it, maybe this was the moment where you started to fall for the portuguese. nobody has made an effort to compliment you in such an unique way.
"thank you, kika. you've been pretty amazing since you've gotten here. you are breath of fresh air that we've needed." you smile.
giving out verbal compliments weren't your thing, and kika seemed to notice that. you liked to express your liking for people through physical actions and gift giving. the portuguese's heart fluttered knowing that you're opening yours up for her.
another month goes by and its the beginning of 2025. the team begins to notice the change in you. you still maintain your serious persona, but with kika, you seem different—softer, happier.
the way you smile at kika, the way your eyes light up when kika enters the room, it becomes clear to everyone that there's something special between you two.
they're aware that they'll have to bring it up to you sometime, just to get clarification on your relationship with the girl, but they're content with observing for a bit.
during a particularly tough champions league match against PSG, you were frustrated.
after VAR cancelled a goal you scored due to a foul, and barcelona nearly conceding a goal thanks to an error from you-- you just wanted something good to happen for your team.
the score is 2-2, with the aggregate being 3-2 in favor of barcelona. you needed to make sure that psg didn't score, and you needed to create a chance for one of your forwards to score as well.
at the 60th minute, kika is subbed in for salma.
not even three minutes later, kika makes an impact.
aitana passed the ball back to you and you found kika up-top and on-side ready to receive a pass.
you shot the ball towards her and kika headed the ball behind the net, scoring the winning goal.
the team celebrates, but it's you who sprints to her first, lifting her up in a rare display of open joy.
"kika!!!" you screamed in joy as she holds you.
"what a great assist." kika says, focusing on you as the rest of the team joins for a group hug.
"don't give me all of the credit, you made a great header. ugh what a star!" you say.
the rest of the team is smiling in joy seeing the two of you. they're aware that your bond, emotionally, is passed the platonic stage-- but its a sight to see you so radiant and optimistic.
a week later, you invited kika over to your apartment. this is new, considering you never invited any of the barcelona girls over unless there was an event you were throwing.
kika and you were going to bake a few things while watching a new netflix show season that was released.
little did you know, kika was going to ask you something important.
"y/n, can I ask you something?" kika says, sitting down on your soft couch beside you.
you turn your head towards her, giving her a light smile as your eyes twinkled with a tiny bit of fear.
"of course, kika. what's on your mind?" you respond.
"do you ever think about... us? I mean, us being more than just friends?" she says, clenching her teeth together as she is nervous about a possible rejection.
"I do, actually. I've been every-night since the beginning of the season. kika, you're the first person who’s made me feel... alive in a long time." you look at her, the vulnerability in kika's eyes mirroring your own feelings.
kika reaches out, taking your hand in hers. "i feel the same way. you make me feel safe and loved."
"well, would me being your girlfriend make you feel more loved?" you squeeze her hand, a smile spreading across your face as you pull her body towards yours.
"yes it would, can I be your girlfriend?" kika smiles as her head rests inside of your neck.
its not the first time you've cuddled with kika like this, but it feels special now that she is your girlfriend.
"yes my love." you kiss the top of her head softly.
as a year goes by being with your girlfriend, you find yourself opening up more, your grumpiness tempered by kika's unwavering positivity.
kika, in turn, finds strength in your steady and strong presence, knowing she always has someone to lean on.
your teammates, patri claudia and cata in particular, often joke about how kika is the only one who can make you smile so effortlessly--but it's clear to everyone that your love has made you both better, on and off the field.
my master list is here if you want to read more fics <3

Can you do number 40 with lia wälti please?
Quiet Pining
Lia Walti x Williamson!reader
As the sun dipped low over the London skyline, Arsenal was starting their second training session of the day, preparing for an upcoming champions league match. You were the team's main goalie and supposed to be focused intently on your current drills, but your attention kept drifting to Lia.
Lia was a couple of meters away, with the midfielders and defenders engaged in a lively rondo. You were supposed to be practicing with the strikers, but your eyes kept drifting over to Lia.
“Y/n, come on! Focus!” Alessia called out, snapping you back to reality. You chuckled sheepishly, trying to shake off your distraction.
“Sorry!” you called, your cheeks warming. Leah, your annoying older sister, glanced your way, an amused smile playing on her lips.
The drills progressed, and as the strikers took turns shooting at goal, you felt your palms getting sweaty. You were well aware of the pressure and that you needed to show your teammates that you were ready for the match ahead. But each time you tried to focus, you’d catch sight of Lia, looking absolutely stunning in the light from the setting sun.
“Come on, Y/n! You got this!” shouted Katie from the sidelines as a couple girls stood to watch the end of your drills.
Once the strikers wrapped up their drills, you saw the perfect opportunity for some fun. You exchanged a glance with Katie, who instantly knew what you were thinking. You both tiptoed over to the water station, grabbing two bottles with icy water.
“Let’s go for the midfielders!” Katie whispered, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
“Not Lia, though,” you replied quickly, shaking your head. You couldn’t bear the thought of embarrassing her like that, even in a playful way.
“Fine, fine. Just Beth and Viv, then,” Katie said with a mischievous grin. You nodded, and together, you snuck up behind your unsuspecting targets.
“Surprise!” you shouted, pouring the cold water down their backs.
“What the” Beth yelped, jumping and spinning around, her expression a mix of shock and laughter. Viv, also caught off guard, jumped almost a foot in the air and then glared at you two as you ran away laughing.
“You two are so dead!” Beth laughed, chasing after you. Viv just stood there glaring. You and Katie took off faster, dodging around cones and teammates.
After all the drills wrapped up, you collapsed onto the grass beside Leah, trying to catch your breath. The sun was getting lower in the sky, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, and you could see Lia chatting with Kim Little a few feet away.
Leah nudged you, smirk present. “That was quite the performance, Y/n. You might want to watch your back, though. Viv looked ready to tackle you.”
You chuckled, looking over at the two of them. “Worth it.”
“Speaking of fun, are you ready for the match against Roma?” Leah asked, stretching out her legs.
“Yeah, I think so. Just a bit nervous,” you admitted, your gaze still lingering on Lia. “I mean, it’s a big game, especially since we didn't make the champions league last year. I need to make sure I’m on top of my game.”
“Pressure is part of it, right? You’ve trained hard for this. You’ll be great! And anyways nothing is getting past me, so you don't have to worry” Leah said, her voice full of confidence to which you just raised an eyebrow.
You turned your head toward her. “What if I mess up? What if I let everyone down?”
“Hey, stop that! You’re not going to let anyone down. Just play your game and do what you know best. And remember, this is a team sport and we win and lose together,” Leah reassured you, squeezing your shoulder.
Just then, Lia walked over, her smile wide and inviting. “Hey, you two! What’s the plan for after practice?” she asked, glancing between you and Leah.
You felt your heart race, the sudden shyness enveloping you like a thick fog. “Uh, I don’t know... maybe just rest up for the match?” you managed to stammer, your eyes darting to the ground, avoiding Lia’s gaze.
“Sounds good,” Lia replied, “You should both come hang out later. We can go over game strategies and maybe watch a movie.”
“Definitely!” Leah said as Lia helped pull her up off the ground. You nodded, but your mind was spinning. The thought of being alone with just your sister and Lia, sent your heart into a wild rhythm.
As practice wrapped up, you gathered your things, overthinking everything that could go wrong. Leah and you hopped in the car, you in the passenger seat.
The ride home was filled with a silence, you couldn't stop thinking about Lia, and how she was way out of your league, not to mention your sisters best friends. As Leah drove, you kept glancing out the window, lost in thought.
“Y/n,” Leah broke the silence, her tone teasing yet serious, “you’re still thinking about Lia, aren’t you?”
You sighed, knowing there was no escaping this. “Maybe a little.”
Leah smirked. “You know, I’ve seen the way you look at her. You like her.”
Your heart raced at her words, the heat creeping into your cheeks again. “I don’t know, Leah. It’s complicated. She’s your best friend and what if she doesn’t feel the same way?”
“Or what if she does?” Leah countered, glancing at you with a knowing smile. “You won’t know unless you say something. What’s the worst that could happen?”
“Making things awkward?” you shot back, but deep down, the idea of being brave lingered.
“Look, you’ve got to take a chance,” Leah encouraged. “I mean, come on! You two have this great chemistry. Just think about it.”
You mulled over Leah’s words, your heart fluttering at the thought of actually asking Lia out. What if it could lead to something beautiful? But then again, what if it didn’t?
“Maybe you could ask her out after the match when we win,” Leah suggested, her tone turning more serious. “you can have time to think about what you are going to say and you’ll feel more confident.”
“Yeah, maybe,” you said quietly, but the thought sent a shiver down your spine. Could you really do that?
When you finally pulled into your driveway, Leah parked the car and turned to face you. “Promise me you’ll at least think about it. I have a good feeling she'll say yes. Just ask her to go for coffee or something after practice.”
“I’ll think about it,” you replied, though your heart was racing at the idea. “But what if it ruins everything?”
“It won’t. And if it does, you’ll get through it together. That’s what friends do,” Leah assured you, her eyes full of sincerity. She really wanted you to be happy and she knew that you and Lia would do that for each other.
You went over to Lia's with Leah for a couple hours after dinner and you were very in your head the whole time. Especially when you sat in between them during the movie and Lia scooted closer to you.
Later that night, you couldn’t sleep. You tossed and turned, the weight of your feelings for Lia pressing heavy on your mind. Every time you closed your eyes, you could see her smile, hear her laughter. You imagined what it would be like to hold her hand, to go out for coffee, to just be together.
By morning, you were a bundle of nerves. The thought of the match against Roma filled you with anticipation, but it was overshadowed by the thought of what to do about Lia.
As you slipped into your jersey, you kept stealing glances at Lia. She was chatting with Beth, head thrown back in laughter. You really wanted to approach them, but the thought of actually talking to her made your heart race even faster.
The practice session began, and you pushed aside your nerves, focusing on the drills. The strikers took their shots at you, and you felt the familiar rush of adrenaline as you dove to save each shot. You were in your element, and for a moment, the anxiety about Lia faded away.
During a break, you grabbed a water bottle and chugged a couple sips. Leah joined you, her expression curious. “So, have you thought about what you’re going to say to Lia?”
You sighed, as you redid your bun. “Honestly? I’m terrified. What if she doesn’t feel the same way?”
“Then you’ll deal with it,” Leah said simply. “But you won’t know unless you try.”
“I just don’t want to ruin our friendship. She means a lot to me,” you admitted, looking down at the grass.
“She means a lot to you because you’re friends. Think about it—if it doesn’t work out, wouldn’t you rather know than wonder?” Leah pushed gently.
“Maybe you’re right.”
Just then, you saw Lia walking toward you, a smile spreading across her face. Your heart skipped a beat, and you felt your palms grow clammy.
“Hey! What are you two plotting over here?” Lia teased.
“Just talking about the match,” Leah said smoothly. “And how amazing our goalie is going to be.”
Lia turned to you, her eyes sparkling. “You’ll be fantastic. You always are, especially in these big games”
“Thanks, Lia,” you said, your voice barely above a whisper.
As she talked, you found yourself hanging onto her every word. The way she moved, she was intoxicating.
Lia smiled brightly, and for a moment, the world around you faded away as you stared into each others eyes. The sounds of the training ground faded, leaving just the two of you in your own little bubble. But then Lia blinked and looked away as Leah cleared her throat. The three of you jogged back to the circle that was forming to discuss the next part of training.
~~~
Once practice was over you showered and got changed before finding your sister and starting the walk to her car, but once you got outside, Leah said, "I have a meeting about my next book, i'll see you later."
“Wait, Leah—” you called, but she was already jogging off towards the car, her back to you. You stood there, dumbfounded that she really just left you there.
Lia noticed and walked over, her brow furrowing in concern. “Why are you out here by yourself? Where’s Leah?”
“She sped off without me,” you admitted, forcing a laugh that felt hollow.
“Ah, classic Leah,” Lia said, shaking her head with a smile. “Do you need a ride home?”
You hesitated for a moment, caught off guard by the offer. “Uh, yeah, that would be great,” you finally managed to say, your heart racing at the thought of being alone with her.
As you climbed into the passenger seat, the car felt small and intimate, even though it was a normal size SUV. The ride was filled with silence, both of you stealing shy glances at each other. You could feel the electricity in the air, and every time your hands brushed against the center console, your heart raced.
Lia seemed to sense the new atmosphere as well, her cheeks slightly flushed. “So, are you excited for the match?” she asked, breaking the silence.
“Yeah, definitely! Just trying to stay focused,” you replied, trying to keep your voice steady.
“Me too, I'm excited to be playing in the champions league again!” she said, her smile making your heart flutter.
The car pulled up to your flat, and you sat there for a moment, your mind racing. Just as you gathered the courage to ask if she wanted to hang out—just the two of you—her phone buzzed on the dashboard. She glanced at the screen, her expression shifting.
“Sorry, I need to take this,” Lia said, her tone apologetic. You felt a pang of disappointment as she answered the call.
“Hey! Yeah, I’m on my way,” she said, her eyes meeting yours for just a brief moment.
You felt the words catch in your throat, but the moment had slipped away. “Uh, bye, Lia,” you managed to say, your heart sinking as she waved goodbye, a mix of regret and longing flooding you as she drove away.
Imagine Crossdresser! reader passing out during an interview live while the rest of the team watches it lol
🌱🩷: I wrote something similar to what your request is! Hope you like it🩷
Warnings: Reader uses she/her, but she is crossdressing as a guy, keep that in mind! Requests are open
⚽️Blue Lock belongs to Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura ⚽️
'This is so annoying. And I can already imagine the jokes Ness and Kaiser will be making at my expense for this interview.' (Y/n) thought as she glanced at one of the cameras. It took everything in her willpower not to yawn as she knew everyone who follows BBLKTV was watching this. The sleep-deprivation pretty much stopped any nervousness she could feel at the moment. The past few weeks weren't that kind to her, from the constant back and forth between Rin and Shidou's fights, watching over Kunigami and the rest of Blue locks BM players, to her parents and the JFA scolding her to be on her best behavior, (Y/n) was ready to call the quits.
'It's like I am their parent or something.' She thought as the interviewer entered the room.
'Not to mention that my period is about to start soon. Do I have any pads left?' The girl thought, looking over at Anri, who was standing behind the camera and sending her a thumbs up.
"Hello, (L/n). I will be interviewing you today, thanks for taking the time of your day for this." The man said warmly, causing (Y/n) to give him back a small smile.
"Thank you for inviting me, Nihei-san. It's a honor to be here." The girl got up and bowed at the man before sitting down again.
'All this media training will be the end of me.' The girl thought as she looked back at the man, who let out a sigh of relief.
'Thank God it's not another Itoshi Sae situation.' The man thought as he looked through his papers.
"So, you don't need to be nervous or anything. The questions are very easy and you can take your time to answer them, there is no time limit or anything. And, the cameras are filming right now, just a warning." Nihei said as he pointed at the camera behind him. (Y/n) slowly nodded her head, blinking the blurriness away and focusing back on the man.
"Of course. Thank you very much, I will keep the things in mind. And the staff already warned me about the cameras as well, I am very greatful for that."
'The amount of times I would have yawned...'
"Alright, let's start then. Ok?"
"Of course."
Back at Blue Lock...
"Kaiser, I swear if you don't move away I will kick you." Kunigami warned as the blonde smirked, still standing in front to the TV.
"I don't know. I like it here a lot." Isagi rolled his eyes as Yukimiya and Kurona sighed in annoyance, while Hiori was whispering something to Gagamaru.
"Nobody wants to see your flat ass, Kaiser."
"His ass isn't flat, Yoichi!"
"Shut up, Ness!" Noa was about to interject, but stopped when he saw Hiori and Gagamaru tackle the blonde to the ground.
"Shut it! (Y/n) is speaking!" Yukimiya yelled as Isagi and Kurona kept their focus on the TV.
"So, how was your experience with Bastard München so far? The fans would like to hear from the player who is in that stratum now."
"It's been great so far. I am grateful that we have a coach as experienced as Noel Noa to help us, and I am happy to I am able to play withgreat teammates. Especially the ones from Blue lock, they all progressed tremendously." (Y/n) answered back as the boys blushed a little.
"Hahaha, what can I say. I did progress quite good, actually." Yukimiya boasted as Hiori chimed in.
"So did I. (Y/n) even said he was proud of Isagi and I after the Ubers match."
"Right. It's even better for me since (Y/n) has seen my developments from the beginning." Isagi added in as Kurona thought over his words.
"(Y/n) has said the same thing to me 2 nights ago. He was even sad that I couldn't continue playing for the rest of the Uvers match."
"I got compliments on blocking Barou's shots as well! It felt really nice." Gagamaru admitted. Kunigami cleared his throat, looking nervous to everyone's surprise.
"I got told that my defense got better after the Barcha match."
Ness and Kaiser kept quiet as they spoke about the player, feeling a little jealous that they never got any compliments.
"Whatever. He probably only compliments the Blue Lock players." Kaiser rolled his eyes.
"Not really. I got complimented as well. (Y/n) also added in he likes my hair." Grim told Kaiser.
"Same for me. He complimented me after the Manshine match since my passes helped him a lot to score his 2nd goal then." Sachs added in.
"What?!" Kaiser asked in disbelief, then looked at Gesner.
"And you?"
"He complimented me on my strength when we were both on the gym." Gesner said nervously as Kaiser looked at the trio as if they had betrayed him.
"This isn't fair..." Ness pouted while looking back at the Blue Lock team.
"Sucks to suck." Kurona chuckled.
PXG...
Now, Rin tried (and failed) to pretend that he didn't care about the whole interview, but he couldn't. He cared way too much. So that's why he was now sat down in front of thr TV, ignoring whatever Tokimitsu, Karasu, and Shidou were saying.
"Shut up!! I want to hear what he is saying!" Charles yelled at the group while Loki tried to calm him down.
"Calm down,you all."
"While we are at the topic of foreign teams." The group stopped and looked at the TV again.
"Is there any foreign player you would want to play with in a team?"
(Y/n) blinked at the reporter and stayed quiet as she thought it over.
"Boooriiing. He would never pick a foreign player over one of us. Especially me." Karasu smirked, earning a few glares from the others.
"You mean me! I am the one he said he could barely keep up with during our first match." Shidou butted in.
"And yet you still lost." Karasu jabbed back.
"Shut it! He would be pick me. I am the number 1 here, after all." Rin rolled his eyes.
"Being the 1 isn't the only thing that matters, Rin. Besides, (Y/n) admires my dribbling."
Charles rolled his eyes at the team and cleared his throat.
"Please don't." Loki begged.
"Yet the interviewer cares about none of you. (Y/n) will definitely pick me here-"
"I really enjoyed playing against Julian Loki during one of our selection rounds. While I don't know his current abilities yet, I would definitely pick him as a teammate. He is very easy to get along with." (Y/n)'s answer quickly shut up the group. The Blue Lock team kept quiet as they looked at Loki while Charles looked at him in utter disbelief.
"You stole him away!" The French player said as Loki looked at him in disbelief.
"I did not?! Besides, he knows me for longer than he knows you."
"So now you are showing off?!"
"Are you stupid?!"
Ubers...
"(Y/n) should gave asked me for some fashion advice. Why would he wear the Bastard uniform during an international interview of all times." Aryu tsked in disapproval as he looked at the TV. Niko rolled his eyes at the comment and looked at the taller player.
"How does that matter now? He is having a interview about Blue lock, not a fashion show."
Snuffy chuckled at the younger players comment and ruffled his hair.
"Calm down, Niko. But, he does have a point, Aryu. (Y/n) was told to wear that, after all.
"They purposely wanted him to look ugly." Aryu pouted.
"Will all three of you shut up? I am trying to listen." Barou groaned as Lorenzo looked at him in amusement.
"Didn't thing a king like you was invested in stuff like this."
"Shut it-"
"As you are aware, the whole world is looking forward to your final match against PXG. But, the fans would like to know which game was so far the most exhausting one."
"Hmm... that's an easy one, definitely the one we had against Ubers. While Barcha and Manshine were challenging as well, the Ubers one outweighs them a lot. Not only did the team already have good and experienced players like Don Lorenzo, and their coach Marc Snuffy. But, my own teammates have evolved quite a lot. While I was annoyed that the end of the match kept getting delayed, I was very happy to see them give their all on the field."
The trio kept quiet as they blushed while looking at the TV. Snuffy and Lorenzo silently laughing at their reactions.
Manshine...
"(Y/n) looks a lot paler than I remember him to be. Don't you two think so?" Reo asked, looking back at Chigiri and Nagi for an answer. The redhead narrowed his eyes and inspected the captain before slowly nodding his head.
"It sure looks like it. I wonder if he is sick or something." Chigiri said in worry while Nagi kept quiet.
"I hope Bastard aren't stressing him out too much." Reo rolled his eyes as he thought about the German team.
"We all pretty much witnessed your hat trick during the match against Manshine city, how did you feel back then? Excitement? Confusion?"
The three looked at the TV, silently waiting for an answer.
"Well it was a mix of both, but mainly confusion. I really wasn't sure, and still I am not sure what had possessed me om the field back then. But, I am grateful for the chances Isagi, Kurona, and Sachs-san gave me to score."
"I can only imagine, especially when you got such a high bid offer from Re Al right after."
"That was a surprise to me as well. I didn't imagine they would notice me like that." (Y/n) chuckled as Nagi and Reo facepalmed.
"He really needs to work on his confidence."
"Nothing changed with him."
"It's cute. He reminds me of a puppy." Chigiri laughed as a blush coated his cheeks.
Barcha...
"Keep it down you two. You won't be able to hear anything." Lavinho said as he looked at Otoya and Bachira, which immediately shut them up.
"We didn't see (Y/n) in so long! Can you blame us?" Otoya said as Bachira nodded along.
"Do you still stand by your statement that the game against Barcha was your favorite one?" The trio looked back at the TV, waiting impatiently at the answer.
"Yes. It was probably more relaxing since it was our first one and, personally, I had a lot of adrenaline rushing through my body. Also, Lavinho-san made the match more interesting with his antics." (Y/n) laughed as the Brazilian laughed along.
"Finally someone who understands!"
"And this is why we should have kidnapped him out of the Bastard stratum."
"Bachira, no." Otoya said in a scolding manner.
Back with (Y/n)...
'Can this be over already? I van barely keep my eyes open.' (Y/n) thought, trying to keep her focus on the questions and the interviewer, but that focus was slowly slipping away.
"We have a few more questions and then we are done. Are you ready to answer the next one?"
"Sure-" Before (Y/n) could finish her answer, her vision turned black and she fell unconscious.
"(Y/n)!" Anri yelled in fear as the interviewer caught the girl before she could fall face first on the floor.
"He is fine. He just fainted. Turn off the cameras." Nihei said as the camera man quickly turned everything off. Anri ran to (Y/n)'s side, sighing in relief when she saw the girl was still breathing.
"Bring me some water and call a medic." Anri told the interviewer then looked back at (Y/n) in worry.
'I knew this whole interview was a bad idea. And the PIFA and Re Al higher-ups are watching this as well. The last thing I need is for (Y/n) to get scolded for being exhausted.'
Panic in the stratums pretty much started the moment they saw the girl faint and the cameras got cut off. Ego felt of course worried, and along with Noa and the other coaches was immediately at the medics office.
"So, he was exhausted?" Loki asked as the doctor nodded his head.
"Pretty much. Lack of sleep caused his body to crash. Aside from that, I have noticed he was under a lot more stress the past few weeks, either caused by the games or the JFA, I can't tell right now."
"What is the next best thing I can do now? I am his coach, after all." Noa spoke up.
"Just let him rest for a few days. If possible, delay the match against PXG for a week or so."
"Sure. Ego-san-"
"Consider it done, Loki." Ego said back, interrupting the French player.
"Also, I would like you all to keep the players at bay for now. Just let him sleep, visitors will only cause more harm now."
"Don't worry about that."
"We will handle it." Chris and Lavinho nodded along as Snuffy patted Noa's back.
"The boys need to practice, anyway. So keeping them away will be easy."
The doctor nodded his head and looked back at Ego.
"Anri is currently with him, so you don't need to worry. Should something happen I will immediately inform you. But, as I said, everything will be fine. He just needs rest."
"Alright." Ego said back, a little bit relieved that (Y/n) wasn't in a life-threatening condition or anything. As the doctor left, Loki and the adults silently thought over their plans to tell the other players.
"It will be quite a headache. Especially since Nagi, Reo, and Chigiri are so stubborn." Chris groaned as Lavinho shrugged his shoulders.
"Just give them punishments if they don't listen. What else can we do."
"True, but let's try being reasonable first." Snuffy added in.
"Lucky for me I have the most unreasonable players in my team." Noa butted in as Loki chuckled a little.
"You clearly didn't meet mine yet."
"I don't care how unreasonable they are, if they defy the rule, inform me. I will give them a proper punishment then." Ego told the coaches in a serious manner.
hi i love your work a lot i've been reading it a lot during this difficult blood moon time. i have a request if you don't mind tackling it!! this is gonna be very specific, but yandere! stalker x reader, BUT the yandere is not stalking reader -- the yandere is stalking a popular girl the reader knows in passing, and reader figures "well, i could use some extra cash", so reader approaches stalker and offers to sell phone numbers of popular girl, hangs out with stalker, and unintentionally ends up becoming the new target of stalker. surprised pikachu face on reader's end that her plan has backfired. bonus points if popular girl that same morning is like "i think stalker guy has finally stopped following me" before the reveal. thank you for reading :)
Based on your post, Imma assume she/her pronouns for our darling (you know what, I relate, gimme the money lmaoooo)
(Reader) slammed her hand down onto the cafe's table, startling the nervous looking man hiding behind his long, shaggy hair. He had been so focused on staring at Jenny (❤️), the angel of campus, and his unrequited love (of three months). Axle fumbled with his camera, nearly dropping it on the floor as he scurried to hide it in his lap.
"Um.. hi?" His exhausted eyes darted around the coffee shop, too nervous to look directly at the woman standing above him. "May I help you?"
"So you're Jenny's stalker." (Reader) smiled coyly, pulling a chair closer towards Axle so she could sit uncomfortably close to him.
His pasty skin flushed deep maroon, sweating under the harsh accusation . "No, you're wrong, I-I'm not-"
The poor hooded man was cut off by (Reader) grabbing his camera, too horrified by the situation to make a scene in the packed area. (Reader) flipped through the pictures, her smile fading as her eyebrows knit into a disappointed scowl.
"Damn, these pictures... suuuuck."
Axle was shocked, not expecting that response. "What?" His face went slack like a fish, unable to compute the young woman's critique.
"They're all... blurry. And, off center? Out of focus..." She handed back his camera, now with a look of mild pity. "Dude.."
With shaky hands, Axle yanked the camera back, not knowing if he should still be scared that he was caught, or offended.
"When Jenny was talking about how nervous she felt, having a stalker, I thought.. I thought you would be different." (Reader) cupped her chin in her hands, leaning in further, forcing Axle to lean awkwardly to the side, away from the strange woman. She seemed to be debating something, carefully contemplating her next steps. "Are you going to kill her?"
Axle gasped, mortified. "No! No, I would never!" He denied, a little louder than he had meant to. Axle sat stiff, fiddling with his camera. "I just.. really like her." A cute little blush dusted his cheeks, making (Reader) pray she wasn't being a fool.
She slipped a hand into her jacket pocket, and pulled out a picture of Jenny, one not from her social media. Axle grabbed it, admiring how the sunlight looked like a halo illuminating Jenny's hair. "Where did you get this?" Axle asked, full of awe as he stroked the image.
"I took it." (Reader) replied smugly. "Do you want it?"
Axle nodded, unable to pry his eyes away from the image. (Reader) pulled the picture back out of his hands, watching him whimper with a cold, unamused expression on her face.
"Twenty bucks."
"Huh?"
"Twenty bucks, and this is yours." (Reader) sat back in her seat like a mob boss, legs spread wide and head cocked to the side.
Axle yanked his wallet out, and fished out a twenty, absolutely giddy over receiving such a wonderful picture of his beloved.
"Pleasure making business." (Reader) smiled, pleased with how easy it was to trap Axle in her web. "Of course, with how awful you are at stalking, will you be okay with just that little picture?"
The young man froze. Of course, she was right. He was clumsy and skittish, often getting noticed while following Jenny, getting chased by campus police. Even the pictures he took of her were rubbish. "What do you mean?" Axle asked only to be sure he wasn't misunderstanding the situation.
"I'll help you out. I'll continue taking pictures for you, get you private information on Jenny, whatever you want. And you pay me."
He smiled oddly. "Pay? What you're doing is a crime, and you're fine with that?"
(Reader) grinned back childishly. "As long as you pay me."
Despite how uncomfortable Axle was with the strange young woman who hadn't even introduced herself, he couldn't pass up this opportunity.
~ 1 week later ~
Axle waited behind a dumpster, not quite sure how X had gotten his phone number. He still hadn't learned the mystery woman's name, only that she was eccentric, and possibly watched too many crime thrillers. (Reader) had told him to call her X, thinking it best that he didn't know her true identity.
He nearly jumped out of his skin when (Reader) popped up behind him. "You got the cash?" Axle squeaked, grabbing his heart.
"You scared me!" Axle stuttered out, looking better than he had the first time they met. His hair was no longer greasy, and the bags under his eyes had lightened up.
'Looks like he's had more time to take care of himself, now that I'm doing the dirty work for him.' (Reader) thought, staring daggers at Axle. He became flustered under her gaze, shifting anxiously.
"What are you looking at?"
"Just wondering why you're stalking Jenny in the first place." Axle pouted, thinking that maybe this was just a set up to bully him. "You're actually pretty handsome when you've showered."
"Huh?"
"Like, conventionally speaking, by societal standards, you are attractive. Maybe stop slouching and find a better jacket? But yeah, pretty sure if you took care of yourself and just approached Jenny like a normal human being she would have liked you."
His ears became warm at (Reader's) words, trying not to smile at the image of Jenny calling him handsome.
"But, better for me that you're a weirdo." (Reader) smiled playfully, holding out a manila envelope full of pictures she had printed out. "Money!" She said it like a question, empty hand opened expectantly.
Axle grumbled, plopping a wad of cash into her hand as he grabbed the envelope, heart palpitating as he saw more exquisite pictures of Jenny. Each one was amazing, with a sense of professionalism in their quality.
"These are incredible."
"Yeah, yeah. She's, like, super hot, I know." (Reader) absentmindedly responded while counting her earnings.
"I meant the pictures, dick."
(Reader) then did something unexpectedly, she stopped counting, and it looked like a little blush bloomed ever so faintly, genuinely surprised by the compliment. "Oh. Uh, thanks."
Axle noticed the way her back went rigid and the way she averted her eyes. It was.. kinda cute. His brain short circuited. Did I just think she's cute?
~ 2 weeks later ~
Axle's door knocked insistently, rousing him from his slumber. No one ever visited his apartment, not even his parents, so Axle was suspicious of who it could be. "I'm coming!"
He unlocked the door to find X, standing their with a shit eating grin on her face. "I never want to hear you say that again."
(Reader) brushed past the blushing mess, barging into his dark and creepy apartment. "How - why - how??" Axle was almost on the verge of tears, zipping around his apartment faster than the Flash to try and clean up, scooping up arms full of dirty underpants and pizza boxes, and just throwing them into a closet.
"Because I'm actually good at my job, that's how." She smiled triumphantly, flopping onto his bed while taking off her bag. "You know, it was really easy making friends with Jenny. She's so sweet.. it makes me feel a little guilty." (Reader) faked a sniffle, pretending to be torn up. "Maybe we should end this.."
"What? No!" Axle panicked, immediately regretting acting like a fool, as "X" removed her hands from her face, revealing dry eyes and a sarcastic smirk.
"Maybe I'll stay.. if you give me a raise."
Axle looked shocked, like he had actually believed (Reader). It was cute. "Fine.. whatever." He groaned, still standing with his arms cross.
"Aren't you going to sit down? I've got some things to show ya." (Reader) patted the bed.
"No!" Axle replied way too quickly, embarrassed about sitting with a girl in his bed. "I mean.. I'm fine standing." He rubbed his neck, avoiding eye contact as usual.
"You know, I know I'm not Jenny levels of hot, but it hurts that you never even look at me." (Reader) deadpanned, pulling out a pad of paper from her backpack, along with another envelope of pictures. "In this little notebook I have Jenny's phone number, her mom's phone number, her dad's phone number, I have her dorm address, I have her family's home address, I have the contact info for her past three exes, and I also wrote down some stuff I learned from talking to her, like the kind of guy she likes, her favorite food, her allergies, a bunch of stuff."
Axle was shocked, and kind of startled, by how thorough (Reader) was. He enjoyed following Jenny between classes, making sure she got where she needed to go, and yeah he liked climbing up the side of the dormitory to try and watch her sleeping, but this was beyond anything he ever could have hoped for.
"Wow. Maybe you do deserve that raise." He opened the envelope, ignoring (Reader) as she bragged about how she got all that information, overwhelmed yet again by (Reader's) photography skills. "Have you ever thought about becoming a photographer?"
(Reader) paused her rambling, nervously shifting her gaze away. Axle was beginning to suspect that she didn't receive compliments all that often, which was a shame, because she certainly was talented. Axle felt his heart thump heavily again.
"I, uh, never thought about it.." (Reader) lied. "Why, you think I should?"
Why did she look so cute right now, nervously asking a creep who was paying her to stalk someone if he approved of her talents?
As he was about to answer, he found a selfie of Jenny and (Reader) together. "What's this?"
"Oh, sorry that wasn't supposed to be in there. Jenny saw my camera and asked if we could take a pic together." (Reader) made a move to grab it, but Axle held it up out of her reach. Strangely, he realized that he had never seen the two side by side, and for some reason in the picture of the two of them together Ms. X was way cuter.
"I'll keep this one too."
"Huh? Why?"
"I like it."
~ 1 month later ~
Axle stared into the bright blue light of his laptop, looking at (Reader's) face. It was difficult to find her, as she didn't have much of a social media presence, and Axle didn't know her name, but he finally found her. He kept telling himself that he was just curious in what kind of lunatic agreed to work as a professional stalker, and why the hell was she so good at it? But as he lost track of time staring at the terrible family photos her mother posted online, he started to question why he never seemed to notice her before.
It felt even worse, since she noticed him.
The pictures she took were all neatly packed in a drawer except for the selfie she took with Jenny. Axle kept arguing with himself, insisting that that was simply the best picture of Jenny by far. But he knew deep down it wasn't the truth.
He had started to lose sleep again, trying to dig up information on his partner on crime. Partners in crime. Axle smacked himself in the head, pulling his hoodie down over his mop of hair. Unfortunately, he was a college student, and had classes to attend.
Out in the corridor, he heard the most wonderful sound in the world. (Reader's) maniacal laughter. Even when out with normal people, (Reader) didn't mask who she was. She was walking with a group of popular students, all cracking up over something one of them had said, and Axle was jealous.
(Reader) looked so natural with that crowd, hanging out like she wasn't a loser like him, glowing so brightly that Axle didn't see Jenny right away. He knew (Reader) said that she had "infiltrated their ranks" in order to learn more about Jenny for him, but it was still incredible to see. Axle wondered if he would look just as natural by their side, after all, (Reader) had said that Axle was "handsome". He suddenly became self conscious, regretting not showering before he left his apartment. When was the last time he washed this coat? Why hadn't he bought a new one when (Reader) suggested it?
It was almost like he had to remind himself to look at Jenny. She didn't look as angelic as he remembered.
~ 2 months later ~
"What made you like Jenny?" (Reader) asked, scrolling on her phone while lounging on Axle's bed. Axle was watching (Reader) while pretending to look at the pictures she had taken. She was so exposed, lying there as though this was just a friend's place, not a man's bed. Axle tried not to feel excitement seeing (Reader) so comfortable in his presence.
"I'm, um, not sure." And that was the truth. Why did he like Jenny? The way she smiled? Was it simply how beautiful she was?
The more he grew to know (Reader) as a person, the more beautiful he found her to be. Jenny paled in comparison to (Reader).
It was too embarrassing to tell (Reader) the truth, that the woman he loved so much that he couldn't stop thinking about her 24/7, now simply didn't interest him. Not like (Reader) did. If I take a picture of her, would she hate me?
"You should take more selfies." Axle stated, out of the blue.
"Why?" (Reader) snorted.
"Because you're pretty.." He blushed softly, smiling at the picture of (Reader) he kept on his desk.
~ 4 months later ~
(Reader) smiled wide eyed, almost unable to contain her surprise. "What?"
"Yeah, he's just, disappeared." Jenny took a sip from her coffee, confused but not complaining. "I haven't noticed that creepy fuck following me around, like, at all lately."
Many thoughts passed through (Reader's) mind like rapid fire. Was everything okay with Axle? Did he lose interest in his beloved? And if he did, was she no longer going to get paid?!
(Reader) ran to Axle's apartment as soon as the coast was clear. Partially worried for his well being, mostly worried for her pay check.
She didn't bother knocking, instead throwing open the door like she owned the place. Axle stood in the middle of his room, confused, and pink in the face. He had a fresh hair cut, showing off his dark eyes, and he had a new outfit on, one that fit him better than his oversized stained hoodie. "(Reader)? What are you doing here?"
"I was just-" she stuttered, blushing violently. He was incredibly attractive, towering over her now that he was standing with better posture. "Wait, how did you know my name?!"
An ominous feeling crept over her, as she thought about how many times she laid in his bed, not knowing that he was falling out of love with his target. He smiled sweetly at (Reader), behind him was a new camera he had bought for her, as a gift. Axle had meant to propose a new deal with (Reader), requesting pictures of her instead, but she had caught him dressing up in the clothes he bought to impress her. He pulled her into his room.
(Reader) only noticed the pictures of her scattered across the floor as Axle locked the door.
Keeper | Leah Williamson
Pairing: Leah Williamson x Arsenal!Reader
Summary: When Zinsburger gets a red card and all substitutions have been used, you step up to do the job.
Masterlist | Woso masterlist | Words: 1.7k
You had been playing a brutal match against Chelsea, having been in the lead with 2-1 since the sixtieth minute. The roughness of the match had come with some hard tackles resulting in some injuries. In the first half two of your teammates had already been subbed off due to injuries, another two substitutions at half time due to the high pressure of the match, left you with just one substitution.
Kim went down not even five minutes after the second half had started. She was reaching for her ankle and stayed down. You jogged over, having been in the midfield with her. “Are you alright?” Worry laced your voice, she had just missed a couple matches because of an injury and you would hate for her to be injured again. She nodded but you could read on her face that it hurt. “Here, let me help you up.” The moment she put her foot down, and put pressure on it, she grabbed your arm to stabilize herself. “I have to play, we won’t have any subs left.” You shake your head, “Kim, don’t play the tough captain, you need to take care of yourself.” She knew you were right and gave in. You motion to the coaches on the sidelines that Kim needs to be subbed off, before helping her to the sideline. Kyra, who was already warming up, took her spot on the field. You ran up to Leah with the captain's band in hand, helping your girlfriend put it on, before quickly running a bit higher up the field as the referee blew the whistle, signaling that the match was continuing.
Chelsea manages to break through your defense by a long ball sent onto your half of the field. Sam Kerr manages to get on the end of it and runs into your box, leaving your defenders chasing after her. Manuela knew that the defenders weren’t going to be able to stop the ball from coming her way, so she ran towards it herself. She dove forwards but Sam moved the ball slightly to the side, which made Manuela crash into Sam’s feet. The referee blew her whistle instantly and ran towards Manuela reaching into her pocket and holding up a red card. Your goalkeeper was clearly upset as she stepped off the field next to her goal with her shoulders hung low in defeat.
Since all your substitutions had been used, you couldn’t sub in another goalkeeper, and someone on the field would need to take up the role of goalkeeper for the next twenty minutes. The stress on your girlfriend’s face as she was talking to Jonas was visible from your place on the field. You knew that they were discussing who had to go on goal, so you jogged over. “I’ll do it.” Leah tried to protest, but you pushed. “A midfielder needs to do this, we need our defense now more than ever, and one of the forwards can drop down to midfield. With that reasoning it would be me or Kyra, and I am not going to let Kyra do this. Let me do it.” Jonas agreed with your tactics, and pulled you to the side to get you the right gear quickly, while Leah walked up to the team that was huddled to the side waiting for what was going to happen. “So, y/n is going in goal. Defense, I know you know your jobs, but defend with your whole heart. I don’t care if every ball is kicked out or sent forward as a long ball, just get it away. Caitlin, I need you to drop down to the midfield with Kyra. The rest of the positions stay the same.” Everyone quickly moves to the goal, as Jonas is done with his small pep-talk, which had mainly consisted of play to the best of your abilities.
You mentally prepared yourself as you ran towards the goal, knowing that the first thing you would have to do was try and stop Chelsea’s penalty kick, as the foul was made in your box. Some of your teammates pat you on the back as you make your way over. Your eyes stay focused on the goal, making your way to the line. Before you step on the line you connect your eyes with Leah’s, she nods, a silent way of saying “You’ve got this.” You take a deep breath and get in position. Sam was lining up to take the shot herself, your eyes were focussed on her while you took your stance. The referee blew the whistle, and Sam walked backwards readying herself to take the shot. You ball your hands in fists, before stretching out your fingers again, one more deep breath, and Sam starts moving forwards.
Eyes focussed on Sam’s hips and feet, trying to read which way she was going to shoot the ball. You take one step to your left, and jump up, stretching your body fully as you realized she was going to the far corner. Time seemed to slow as you soared through the air, your eyes now focussed on the ball that was getting closer and closer. You feel the ball hit your fingers, and you try to push them forwards, knowing there was a lot of power behind Sam’s ball.
The ball curves around the goalpost, as you fall down. The Emirate Stadium erupts in cheer as you just managed to effectively block the penalty. It doesn’t hit you until Leah runs your way and slides into you. “That was amazing.” She says hugging you tight. The rest of your teammates follow and join in on the hug. Though, the celebration was short lived, as Chelsea was getting ready to take the corner kick.
You were used to a full box during corned kicks but that did nothing to prepare you for this angle of it. Players were standing in your line of sight, and constantly moving around. The ball was kicked in, you tried your best to follow the ball while also keeping an eye out for your surroundings. A bunch of people jump up towards the ball but Lotte manages to get to it first heading it away. The ball doesn’t get far, and lands right at the feet of Fran Kirby, who kicks the ball in your direction, it comes right at you at full speed. You wrap your arms around the ball, and fall forwards with it. You now finally understood why goalkeepers laid down with the ball so often after a save, the speed at which the ball landed in your grip was almost enough to knock you over.
Now you just wanted to get the ball away from you, so you stood up with the ball in hand. You drop kick the ball about halfway down the field where it was quickly picked up by Kyra. She picked out Alessia and passed it perfectly right in front of her feet. Alessia manages to step around the Chelsea defender and curl the ball around their goalkeeper, scoring another goal for your team. 3-1 against Chelsea was insane, and only a few more minutes to play.
The final whistle blew, and as your teammates started running your way it started to dawn on you just how big of an impact you made in those last twenty minutes. The team started patting you on the back, hugging you, and telling you what a great job you did. Leah waited to celebrate with you until after most of your teammates had, as she wanted her time. She walks up to you with a big smile on her face, “My keeper, you did such an incredible job.” She hugs you, “I am so proud of you.” You walk around the field with Leah’s arm wrapped proudly around your shoulder.
Of course, the reporters wanted to speak with you after the match, since it was such a rare occasion that a field player had to step in as the goalkeeper. “So, Y/n, it seems like you have found your calling.” The reporter starts full of amusement. “I mean it worked out but I don’t plan on making it a habit.” You joke with him, before he asks you another question. “Can you walk us through these two saves?” You nod, “That penalty, I was able to read her body right. Zinsburger is an incredible goalkeeper, much like our other goalies, watching them is very inspiring. But yeah, being good at reading body language came in handy when reading Kerr’s body movements when taking that shot. The second save on the other hand was pure luck. The box was super crowded, and was stressing me out so much that I was struggling to concentrate on the ball. Lotte headed the ball away, so that first threat was dealt with by her and I was just lucky that Kirby’s shot came right at me.” Before ending the interview he asks you if there is anything else you’d like to share. “I guess just that I will gladly hand back these gloves to our goalkeepers again, and that I’ll stick to being a midfielder.” He thanked you for your time before you headed back to the dressing room, joining the rest of the team.
Before you make your way to your cubby, you stop by Manuela, who’s still looking rather defeated. So, you put a hand on her shoulder, “Hey Manu, don’t beat yourself up, it could’ve happened to all of us. You played a great game.” She smiles at you and gives you a quick hug, “Thanks Y/n/n, and thank you for stepping up.” You nod and smile her way.
You make your way over to your cubby and slump down, immediately leaning into Leah’s side, grateful that her cubby was next to yours. “Are you alright?” You hum, “Yeah, just exhausted, that was way too stressful.” She places a kiss on your head. “We can shower at home, and spend the rest of the day cuddling?” Your face lights up at her suggestion. “Yes, please, that sounds amazing.” The both of you put on your long training pants and exchange your cleats for your sneakers, and pack your bags.
Back at home you take a warm shower before getting in some sweats and a hoodie, plopping down on the couch next to Leah. You snuggle into her side right away, her arms wrapping around you. She kisses your head a couple of times, before she grabs the remote and starts up the show you’ve been watching together recently.
Put On the Spot
Arthur Shelby x Reader
Warnings: awkward Arthur
Word Count: 1139
Summary: Arthur gets put on the spot when his child asks him a rather interesting question.
“Daddy!!” Arthur’s two children exclaimed in unison as they bursted through the door and found him standing by the window. He knelt down to greet them, allowing them to nearly tackle him with a hug.
“I thought I saw you two coming up the drive,” he said to the kids, glancing at the door to see (Y/N) entering the house. Their eyes locked and he sent her a smile before focusing on his children again.
“We got to go for a long walk today!” Lily, the younger of the two children, said with glee.
“Did ya?” Arthur asked with raised eyebrows, showing his interest in the story. He kept glancing up at his wife, watching as she made her way to sit on one of the chairs. The glint that was present in her eyes immediately told him that she had something to say.
“Yes! Mum let us keep going and going, all the way down to the end of our road!” Maya, the eldest, chimed in, turning to smile at her mother once she was done talking.
“That sounds like a good time. I’m sorry I missed out on it,” Arthur frowned slightly as he looked between his daughters.
“That’s ok. You can come next time!” Lily accepted his apology before quickly throwing an idea out, one that Maya was nodding incessantly at.
“I’ll join ya next time then,” Arthur agreed on it, smiling at his two girls before he set his sights on (Y/N) once more. “How did you enjoy your walk, love?” he asked as he moved over to the back of the chair she was sitting on so that he could set his hands on her shoulders.
“It was…” (Y/N) paused, trying to find the correct word to fit the situation she’d just experienced, “interesting.”
“Interesting?” Arthur questioned, his brows furrowed.
“Yes,” she affirmed.
“Interesting how?”
“Maya asked me a question that caught me completely off guard,” (Y/N) shared. Arthur’s brows furrowed deeper.
“What was the question?”
“I told her to ask you it when we returned home,” she answered as she nodded her head towards their two daughters, who were now playing. “Go ask her,” she added with a tight lipped smile.
Arthur’s eyes shifted from his wife to his daughter and back again, hesitance clear in his actions. (Y/N) raised her eyebrows at him, a non verbal way of saying ‘go on’. Arthur looked at her for a moment longer before he slowly made his way to where the girls were playing.
“Maya…” he started, at first saying the little girl’s name like he was some shy child on the playground. Come on, Arthur, she’s eight…man up, he told himself, clearing his throat and trying another angle. “Maya, your mum said you had a question for me?” he asked her, more confidence present in his tone now.
Maya looked up the second she heard her father’s voice and was nodding instantly. “Oh yeah,” she started, standing up so that she could move closer to him. “How do babies get made?” she asked in an innocent voice, looking up at her father with her big, doe eyes.
Arthur froze when he heard her question. His eyes widened and his jaw went slack as he looked over to (Y/N), who was currently biting on her cheek to stop her laughter. She expected this sort of reaction from her husband, but seeing his face drain of its color as he mentally scrambled for an answer was even more entertaining in person.
Warning bells were going off in Arthur’s mind as he tried to figure out how he was going to respond to the child’s question. He tipped his head to the side as he weighed out the paths he could possibly take. Maya may not believe an imaginary answer, but (Y/N) would sure smack me upside the head if I went the real route, he debated his choices.
“Dad?” Maya asked, wondering why it was taking so long for him to respond.
“Uhh…” Arthur drew out the word, buying himself more time, “well, why’re you askin’, sweetheart?” he asked a question of his own.
Maya was happy to answer him: “well I was thinking back to when mummy had Lily in her belly, and I knew that she was in her belly because mummy said that she came out of it. But I want to know how Lily got put in mummy’s belly. I know she wasn’t there the whole time.”
Arthur nodded along with his daughter’s statement, thankful that she was really explaining because it gave him more time to think up an answer. That still didn’t mean that he had said answer when she was done talking though. He glanced over at (Y/N) then, seeing that she was waiting expectantly for his answer.
“Well, Maya…” he trailed off, swallowing thickly, “your mum and I love each other very much, and when two people love each other like your mum and I do, they decide that they’re going to have a baby,” he explained, silently hoping that the topic would end there.
But, of course, Maya had another question: “how did the baby get into mummy’s belly?”
“Well that happens when…”
“Alright Maya, don’t you have some school work you could be doing?” (Y/N) cut Arthur off before he could stick his foot into his mouth. He sent her a surprised, and relieved, look.
“But daddy was answering my question!” the girl responded, a pout present on her face.
“There’ll be time to answer it later. You have school tomorrow and work that needs to get done. Go on,” (Y/N) stayed firm, nodding towards the staircase.
“Fine,” Maya grumbled, turning and making her way to the steps so that she could go up to her bedroom.
Arthur looked to Lily, who had been playing without a care in the world, before his eyes found (Y/N)’s. “Why did you step in?” he just had to ask.
“You wanted to keep fumbling?” (Y/N) asked with raised eyebrows.
“I wasn’t fumbling,” he insisted, although he was unable to look her in the eye as he spoke.
“If that’s what you want to tell yourself, darling,” she smiled at him as she stood from her chair. She walked over to him then, waiting until she was standing in front of him to speak again: “it was cute to watch you though,” she stated, leaning in to press a quick kiss to his lips before she backed away, going to ascend the stairs.
Arthur let out a huff once she was gone. He looked down at Lily and shook his head, wondering how many years would pass before she, too, was asking these types of questions. Oh how he hoped he still had some time left.
**Got a bit carried away with this one…hope y’all don’t mind!
tiny exception [pt. 2] - stellaron hunter crew
summary; there's one little exception to the rules of the stellaron hunters...
genre/extra tags; one shot, fluff, a lot of fluff, comedy, children are menaces but it's okay, blade will be punting a kid (/j), rich aunt kafka, silver wolf doesn't know how to handle kids
[platonic] [5-7 year old reader] [gender neutral reader]
[buy me a kofi to support!]
word count; 615
a/n; finally i have finished the part two of this iconic work bc someone requested it. hope you enjoy!
[rule 1; don't bother blade]
this rule really should be obvious. it really should, but kids don't listen to obvious rules.
"why are you so grumpy?"
"because of you."
"that's mean. you're really mean." you sit right on his lap because you felt stubborn today. "and you're stupid." silver wolf stifles a laugh at the sight before her. you and blade glare at each other as you poke at his face like a cat. "and ugly."
"i think you're talking about yourself." anyone who didn't know blade would think, man, he doesn't like this kid. but from the way he holds you gently and the tiny glint of playfulness in his eyes as he talks to you.
"you're so rude! i'm gonna tell kafka!"
you push yourself against him in a weak attempt to tackle him. he only carries you, hands under your armpits as you struggle in his hold.
"you're a little snitch, you know that?" he holds you like a baby this time as you're still kicking your legs and trying to squirm out of his grip to get a chance to get to kafka.
"because you're a big meanie! a big butthead!"
"yeah, yeah."
[rule 2; don't go in kafka's room]
there wasn't really anything incriminating in there. she just didn't like people invading her space and it was normal. but there's always those little exceptions.
"auntie!" you knock on her door, almost a little too loudly. she does open the door, not really fazed since she knows your loud knocks from anywhere.
"what is it, dear?" she's tiredly picking you up, it's clear that she's had a long day but by aeons, she wasn't gonna let that stop her from caring for you.
"can i sleep with you tonight.." you're a little bit embarrassed. you usually stay with silver wolf as her late night working sessions usually help you fall asleep but you haven't seen kafka in the past few days.
"of course you can. i would never say no." her hand pats against your back, comforting you and starting to lull you into a sleep. she lets you rest your head on her shoulder, humming, "i'll be doing a little bit before we lay down. just sleep, baby."
"i like your room, auntie.. i like being with you." you mumbled tiredly. you rest against her as she sits down at her desk, still holding you.
"i like being with you too."
[rule 3; let silverwolf focus when she's playing her games]
something about children and always wondering what games you got on your phone always has silverwolf reeling away from you when she goes to play her games. it took her longest to get used to your bright presence. honestly, children were not really any of their forte. you were an unexpected (yet expected) part of the crew even if you didn't do much (yet).
she usually kept herself away but today was different. she offered to play with you. as it was almost out of character of her, you immediately accepted. and you played a two player co-op game. she was more focused than you were but you didn't mind.
you weren't doing well in the game as your character died multiple times during this boss battle (that was set to medium for you but co-op gave it more health and different battle patterns). you watched as silverwolf tried her best to pull through.
"you can do it!" you had said in the heat of the moment, but her finger slipped and you both lost. "i'm sorry!"
she's a little bit frustrated being so close to the end but she lets out a tired sigh. "it's okay."
I hope you did well with your exams!!! I just know all your stress and shi went away after you saw her trailer!!!!! our b pose is nastyyyyyyyy
robin would def admire you while you sleep in the mornings. she’d rest her chin on her palm, elbow propped up on the pillow as she lovingly stares down at your peaceful face. her fingers would brush the stray strands of hair away from your face and trace the outline of your features. “ robinnnnn, i was sleepingg. “ you whine drowsily, turning away from her feathery touch. robin giggles and brings your head back by her palm on your cheek and pepper your face with butterfly kisses. “ not anymore you’re not, my dove. let’s make breakfast together~“
i can imagine dancing with robin while breakfast is cooking. she’s twirling you around the kitchen while purposely singing you some ridiculously cheesy song. by the end of it, you and robin are smiling and laughing at the table while eating some half–assed looking pancakes and eggs because none of you weren’t focused on watching the food like that. before you and her separate to tackle your schedules, robin’s holding you in her arms and pecking your lips. she’d whisper how much loves you and wish you good luck!
don’t give me started on her thighs omggggg. and ik robin’s like a service bottom/top so imagine doing the 69 with her???? double ended dildos?? fucking her to sleep to relieve her of her stress?? robin fucking YOU to blow off some of her or your stress???? ik her head game is top tier too ahhhhhhh
hiii!! could i request platonic brozone with a sibling reader who makes "kawaii metal" music (kind of like babymetal, if u wna look into it!)
basically they were the overlooked one of the siblings, weren't in brozone and when they all split up reader took their leave and began make metal/rock music !! maybe they reconnected with branch during the world tour and have kept in contact since? they didnt go on the adventure to save floyd (werent there for the wedding) but just the shinanigans that ensue when everyone is back together? angst with a fluff ending maybe?
Brozone with an Kawaii Metal! Sibling
Pairing: Brozone X S/O (Platonic)
Warnings: Angst, Fluff, Swearing
A/N: OKAY I LOVE BABY METAL I VIBE TO IT SOMETIMES! DUDE ITS SO COOL AND THEIR OUTFITS ARE SO AMAZING! also I didn't highlight who was speaking cause I wrote this at 2:00am so sorry honey!
Your E/c eyes darted around the room after the mishap of what had happened on the Brozone stage every single do of your siblings were fighting except for branch who you quickly covered his ears before you shouted at them to stop which they didn’t listen at all bringing you into the argument aswell causing you tog get mad.
It was known in the family that you were overlooked for being the only girl and not the best singer or dancer like your brothers or any other pop troll so you were mainly shunned to the side. You were close to cursing out John Dory but was cut off by the male leaving the pod with an grappling hook while Clays and Bruce separated aswell as Your eyes glared at the three who had left to their rooms before glancing towards Floyd who gave the tow an guilty look as You scoffed leaving the pod to take breath of fresh air. Floyd stepped out before sitting beside you on the tree branch you were sitting on frowning as Floyd spoke "(name...)" you glanced behind him as he placed an hand on your shoulder "Take care of branch..." Your eyes glanced towards him "You better come back cause I'll be leaving soon" Floyd nodded slowly as you stood up and entered the pod hugging Branch who was confused before Branch whispered to you "are they coming back?" You glanced towards Branch and towards your grandma rosie puff who sighed "Yeah... it normal to happen" grandma rosie puff said walking over joining the hug as days later grandma rosie puff panicked when realizing They ACUTALLY LEFT. For the past years you helped your family before you had to go when branch was just 9 years old when you told him you were leaving he hugged you as you left the pod thanking grandma rosie and told Branch goodbye. How long had it been? 17? years since you left while it was 20 years for your Older brothers...
You stood on a stage with a bright smile as you moved around singing the lights focusing on you and your outfit which was a mix of bright and cheerful colors, with lots of pink and purple hues. Black accents are used to create a bold contrast.
The top was a crop top with lace up details on the sides, and it's in a pastel pink tone. The sleeves have loose ruffles to create a playful vibe. The skirt has a high waisted design, and is in a dark purple hue. It has several layers of ruffles, and is cut in a tiered shape yet there were slight metal like designs for example the spikes around the girls wrists and her studded belt that was held with her skirt.
You soon posed finishing your song panting looking into the crowd to see branch who stood beside a pink girl troll and Queen Barb as you squealed seeing the girl “Barbie-chan!” You teased tackling Barb in a hug as she groaned you still rembering the nickname you gave her when you caught her singing barbie in the middle of the night before glancing to Poppy nodding towards her in a greeting as she squealed "Hi! Im poppy! Barb has told us so much bout you! this is my boyfriend-" you caught Poppy off with speaking up "branch..." you teared up slightly covering your mouth as branch stared at you with wide eyes "(name)" You walked over cupping his face "You've grown so much little bro" you hugged him tightly as Poppy stared with wide eyes confused "YOU HAVE A SISTER?!" "It isn't that big of a deal-" "IT IS! OMG I HAVEN'T MET YOU! THIS IS SO AMAZING!" Poppy squealed hugging you again as you laughed patting Poppy is back "Its good to know someone took care of him when We- I was gone" You said making eye contact with branch who gave a weak smile towards you as you gave a sad look.
He filled you in what you missed and you cried but soon you reconnected next thing you knew a few months later you got sick so you couldn’t attend Bridgette and king gristles wedding but told branch and poppy to scrapbook it for you which poppy agreed to so much while branch hugged you goodbye.
You were informed by Barb, the others that Poppy and branch were on adventure which you were sad about but loved for them to bond more cause you what’s dot be an Auntie so bad!
Currently you were on stage jamming out singing at Volcano rock city branch saying he has to show me while poppy shouted that it was a surprise for you which you were excited about. While you were on stage your dress bouncing where you danced around singing as Trolls who enjoyed your ‘baby metal’ themed singing along as a group of five trolls stared at you on your stage with shock well 4/5 since branch was cheering
You made eye contact with him raising your Handel wave at your younger brother before freezing entirely when seeing four others that had left you with branch and grandma a bubbling feeling rising in your chest your grip on troubled tightening as you finished the song before leaving stage heading into your dressing room holding your head in your hands
You stood in front of your dressing room mirror panting as your heart raced slightly. You'd just been singing on stage when you noticed out of the corner of your eye you'd seen your OTHER four brothers in the crowd. They'd left you and Branch all those years ago, and now here they were watching you perform. As you stumbled into the dressing room, your head was swirling with a mix of emotions. You could feel the anger and hurt rising up in your chest, threatening to boil over.
As you sit in the dressing room your mind churns with conflicting emotions. Part of you wanted to burst out and confront them right then and there to demand explanations and reparations for leaving you and Branch behind for you to be the one with your grandomther to take care of him but another part of you hesitated... It had been twenty long years since you'd last seen them and a lot had changed. Perhaps they had also grown and matured and there was a chance for reconciliation and forgiveness.
A shaky breath past your lips for a moment as you hesitantly stepped out of the dressing room you were greeted by your older four siblings who stood waiting. Your eyes widened at their stances they looked nervous and guilty avoiding eye contact as they shuffled their feet awkwardly mostly John Dory as you took a moment to eye them silently as you were taking note of the slight changes in their appearances and demeanor. John Dory had slighter blue skin then back then when you were young his forest green hair with black eyebrows, his eyes are cyan and black, and a purple indigo nose. He wears this shirt in his torso, a brown and white plush collared vest with brown polka dots on his collars, green ripped shorts, and he is barefoot. His fingerless glove is brown, and a pair of goggles with magenta lenses and a lime green frame. The others changed alot to Spruce had the same slighter blue skin. Lucious purple hair with eyebrows, his eyes are black, and a purple nose. He is seen wearing his shirt with a black and white feather necklace around his neck, a black and white short-sleeved open jacket with scales on it, white roped shorts Clay's pale teal skin was normal yet now he had lime green hair that are from dark teal eyebrows his eyes are blue, and a blue nose. He wears a dark green romper with a green diamond and white outlines, lime green and white stripes bracelets. While your last brother floyd looked away making slight eyecontact with you as you paused pursing your lips for a slight moment Floyd was the last to stare at and how much he had changed from back in the day same skin tone as the rest and his usual dark magenta pink hair and eyebrows, his eyes are purple, and wears a black pearl earring on his right ear. Half of his hair is twisted around his head and partly covers the left side of his face. He is shirtless and has black ripped shorts and a large belt-buckle wrapped around his waist You stared at them you felt out of place when branch grinned motioning you to step forward as you eyed them before speaking "What are you doing here?" you questioned crossing your arms defensively as you surveyed your other siblings as branch patted your shoulder.
The four of them averted their gazes awkwardly shifting their weight and avoiding eye contact. John Dory in particular looked the most guilty he seemed to be struggling to find the right words to say. "We wanted to talk," he finally blurted out, his eyes darting up to meet yours before quickly looking away again. You hesitantly nodded, your arms still crossed tightly across your chest. Your eyes flicked between the four of them, taking in their nervous expressions. "Go on" you said gesturing for them to speak voice steady but cold. "Talk" Before you knew it your older brothers were hugging you babbling apologies as you panicked slightly as branch also felt awkward when wrapped around in the group hug with you as you paused "WHOA WHOA! Chill out!" You said scratching your cheek nervously. Maybe you might have missed them abit... your older brothers were the best... yet you still held them leaving you against them proudly now being able to do things to them in return which caused you and Branch to cause some chaos
Like I said in my preliminary post about the chapter, my initial impression of JJK 268 was positive but lukewarm—kind of “okay, that’s decent but full of holes.” Then I made the mistake of thinking about it too much, and now my opinion is more like “that’s ass actually.”
Unflattering assessment of JJK 268 and the current state of the story to follow—stop reading here if you don’t want to see that.
There were two things I liked—and still like, to a certain extent—about the chapter: Yuuji’s final conversation with Sukuna and Gojou’s final letters. But past the initial approval, I’m finding severe issues with those as well.
The Letters
To tackle the lesser evil first, the letters are quite in character for Gojou, and the one to Megumi is on point. It’s perfect. The one to Nobara is where it falls apart. Her mother is a non-entity; her entire flashback has focused on her friendships, with Saori in particular. Her family is absent from the page/screen, and all we get are passing mentions hinting at her family dynamics. So why the fuck is that what Gojou’s letter focuses on?
I know the answer; there’s nothing else for him to tell her. They’re not close and barely know each other, so there’s no substance to their relationship the way there is with Gojou and Yuuji or Gojou and Megumi. What would have made a good letter to her was Saori’s address/number—but Gojou can’t reasonably give her that because there’s no feasible way he’d have known about Saori. Nobara sure as shit wouldn’t have told him. So it feels like Gege tacked on information about a random absent mother because the letter had to say something and this complements Megumi’s letter. It just falls flat as fuck because nobody cares, least of all Nobara herself.
What I think could have worked without having Gojou act out of character was a joke or some bullshit about her coma—something that shows his faith/hope that she’d wake up and be well without becoming emotional or trite. They weren’t close, but she was still a student he cared for. There are ways to show that without pulling a random family member into the equation.
Sukuna and Yuuji
Where do I even start?
In isolation, I adored the conversation they had at the end. It allows both of their personalities as well as their relationship to shine and stay true to themselves while delivering a powerful final exchange. There are several angles to it that fascinate me, especially the contrast between how nightmarish Yuuji's offer truly is and how tenderly he proposes it.
But how the fuck did they get there?
Specifically, how’d Yuuji go from trying to rip out Sukuna’s heart at the end of JJK 260 to being willing to give Sukuna a second chance to be his prisoner/companion until their mutual death? JJK 265 and even 266 lay out his reasoning, but how and when did he get to that point? Yuuji’s final attitude toward Sukuna has both empathy and sympathy: (i) he realizes that he and Sukuna were both shouldering curses out of their control and that it may have been nurture as much as nature that made them what they are, and (ii) he believes that Sukuna deserves a chance to be more than a cursed existence.
We never see why or how he develops these beliefs. A throwaway line from Sukuna about being a wretched child isn’t enough for Yuuji to write Heian era fanfiction in his head; frankly, Yuuji’s not the type. The only option is the much-referenced but so-far unused “resonance” giving Yuuji actual insights into Sukuna’s emotions or backstory, but we don’t see that. We don’t even get hints of that. Yuuji’s willing to tear Sukuna apart and then he’s willing to coexist with him. Forget missing steps, there’s an entire missing floor here.
I’m all for stories that require the reader to engage in inference and analysis, but you still need solid material to prompt such conclusions. JJK is lacking that. There are hints of it. You can squint and see the building blocks of Yuuji’s eventual mindset. But it feels like entire chapters are missing between his attitude in 260 and 265 and also between 265 and 268.
The Fingers
You know how Sukuna’s death only being possible via a vessel has been a driving factor behind the entire plot? Well, I guess we can just ignore that. Just pull him out and let him disintegrate as a lump—problem solved. Even the remaining finger isn’t a problem anymore! That’d have made sense given it’s still only one finger—although even one-finger Sukuna is immensely powerful and might be an issue in the future, if the next generations are weaker than the current one. But instead, it’s framed as that finger not even having the power to connect to Sukuna’s soul at all. Even that’s acceptable in isolation, except this entire thing contradicts how the fingers and Sukuna’s existence have been framed until this point.
Just a few chapters ago, Sukuna was vomiting up fingers as the connection between his soul and Megumi’s body was assaulted. Hell, he swallowed them right back. The natural conclusion here would be that tearing him from Megumi’s body would result in four fingers—Yuuji’s little finger and three original Sukuna fingers—containing some 95% of Sukuna’s soul/power. It also meant someone would need to die to vanquish Sukuna because a vessel was necessary. The question was whether it’d be Megumi or Yuuji.
The answer, apparently, is that you don’t need a vessel at all. Yuuji’s offer to him is framed as him giving Sukuna grace—sure, he’d be caged in and then die with Yuuji sooner or later, likely sooner, but Yuuji's still offering him a longer life. And then Sukuna dies without a vessel. So what was the point of it all? The change is flimsily justified while contradicting the very premise of the story, and not only does it make Sukuna’s end underwhelming, but it also cheapens all the pain and horror until this point.
Tonal Dissonance
This chapter feels like two halves of two different chapters stitched together. Compare the aftermath of the Shibuya Incident to this aftermath—where’s the gravity, the grief? The end of the battle doesn’t get time to settle before the trio are back together, healed and happy.
Happy endings and tragic endings are both good endings—when they’re well crafted and cohesive. And JJK hasn’t ended yet, but the battle with Sukuna did, and we jump right into an aftermath that has no respect for the severity and devastation of the fight that preceded it. Seeing Yuuji, Megumi, and Nobara happy makes me feel nothing; it doesn’t even seem part of the same story. We see no hints of Megumi or Nobara really acknowledging everything that happened while they were possessed and unconscious, respectively. There’s no real sense of consequence either, which is just jarring after all the character deaths and associated emotions in the previous chapters.
The thing is, I think this could have been mitigated by shifting Megumi’s waking and what follows into a new chapter. It wouldn’t fix the timeline issues—it looks like Megumi’s waking several hours, maybe a day or two max, after the fight ended—but it’d be less abrupt. Follow Uraume’s death with a long pan of Shinjuku and maybe snapshots of what the survivors are up to: Yuuji gathering up Megumi’s conscious body; the state of Yuuta, Toudou, and Hana, as well as the remaining sorcerers who were involved in the fight; a quick look at the colonies and the incarnated/awakened sorcerers Kenjaku didn’t manage to kill. Just something to let the end of the fight sink in—a proper transition.
Honestly, I feel like Gege’s ticking off a few boxes in their outline to get this story done with. Maybe it’s burnout, maybe it’s loss of interest; I don’t know. But the end result is that there’s the shape of a story—an arc, an ending—that could have been incredible but is instead a sad, disintegrating lump on the ground, much like Sukuna was in the end.
There are three more chapters, so I assume some of my remaining questions or issues will be addressed, like the terms of the Kenjaku–Sukuna binding vow, the state of Japanese society, the fate of the surviving CG players and the CG itself, the Tengen fetus that’s presumably still inside Megumi, etc. They may even address some of the inconsistencies and ambiguities raised above. But this entire arc has already suffered from an excess of post-hoc explanations, and more of that won’t really make it a stronger or better story.
life's better on saturn
ingrid engen x reader
part two - part one here
summary: she gave you a chance and it was all worth it
six months in, and things with ingrid feel like a dream you’re afraid to wake up from.
every day, you wonder how you got so lucky. she’s everything you could’ve hoped for—kind, supportive, sweet, funny, and the way she looks at you makes your heart race no matter how many times it happens.
at barcelona, the two of you have fallen into an easy rhythm, balancing your professional lives with the personal one you’re building together.
on the pitch, you’re teammates first, focused on the game and the goals ahead. but off it, in those quiet moments before and after training, you’re just y/n and ingrid, stealing glances, sharing secret smiles, and finding excuses to be close since ingrid isn’t afraid of it anymore.
one of your favorite things is when practice wraps up and the team heads to the locker room, and you and ingrid always end up next to each other.
she’ll brush her fingers against yours, just a small, subtle touch, but it sends warmth through you every time.
you catch her looking at you when she thinks you’re not paying attention, and you do the same—though you’re not as discreet about it.
sometimes, you catch the other girls watching, too, with knowing smiles, and it makes you laugh. you’re not exactly keeping your relationship a secret, but there’s something fun about the little moments of affection that only the two of you truly understand.
but then there was the injury. a bad tackle during a match left you with a sprained ankle, and while it wasn’t the worst injury you could’ve had, it was enough to keep you off the pitch for a few weeks.
you hated it—the sitting around, the physical therapy, the frustration of not being able to play. and the worst part? missing the international break.
you were supposed to represent your country, and the disappointment was hard to swallow. but ingrid, as always, was there to support you.
she never let you dwell too long in your frustration, always finding ways to cheer you up. she’d come over after training, bringing your favorite snacks, and you’d spend the evenings curled up on the couch, her arms around you, making you forget the pain, if only for a little while.
when it came time for her to leave for norway’s matches, you insisted on going with her. you weren’t going to sit at home while she was out there giving it her all.
she tried to convince you to stay and rest, but you were stubborn, and in the end, she relented. you ended up on a plane with her, your crutches awkwardly stuffed into the overhead compartment.
watching her play was an experience in itself. you’d seen her on the pitch countless times, of course, but there was something different about being in the stands, surrounded by norwegian flags and fans, watching her represent her country.
you never had an opportunity to watch another country play another, since you would be playing for yours at the same time.
ingrid was brilliant, as always, commanding the back line with a grace and power that took your breath away.
you couldn’t stop cheering, even when the pain in your ankle flared up from standing too long. when she assisted caroline’s goal, you were out of your seat, yelling her name, your voice lost in the roar of the crowd.
when the match ended, you made your way down the stands to meet her.
the moment she spotted you, her face lit up, and despite the sweat and exhaustion, she made a beeline for you, pulling you into a tight hug. the both of you ignoring the press and the cameras that were surely snapping away wondering why you were all the way in norway.
“you were incredible,” you whispered in her ear, holding her as tight as you could with one crutch tucked under your arm.
she smiled, pressing a light kiss to your forehead. “y/n i could hear you from the pitch, you know.”
“good. i wanted you to know i’m your biggest fan– and i have been your biggest fan for a while.”
then there was the moment that changed everything. it was a few days after the national break ended, and you were back at the training ground in barcelona, trying to ease back into your routine, though you were still sidelined from practice.
you’d decided to take a break and headed to the lounge, hoping to find some company. what you didn’t expect was to find ingrid and fridolina deep in conversation.
you paused in the doorway, something in ingrid’s expression making you hesitate. you were about to turn back, give them their space, when you heard your name.
this moment gave you deja vu.
“i don’t know when it happened,” ingrid was saying, her voice soft, almost hesitant. “but i’m in love with her, frido. like, in love– with y/n.”
your heart stopped. you weren’t sure if you were dreaming, but you pinched yourself just in case. the shock of it held you still for a moment, and you heard fridolina’s voice next, full of warmth.
“i’m not surprised,” she said.
“it’s obvious how much you care about her. and honestly, ingrid, it’s great to see you this happy. i’m glad you didn’t let the age thing bother you forever.”
you couldn’t just stand there any longer. before you could overthink it, you stepped into the room. “i love you too, you know.”
both heads turned toward you, ingrid’s eyes wide with surprise, fridolina grinning like she’d just won a bet.
ingrid blinked, clearly caught off guard. “y/n, i—how long were you standing there?”
you shrugged, trying to keep the mood light even though your heart was pounding.
“long enough to hear the most amazing thing anyone’s ever said about me.”
she looked at you, her expression softening, and in that moment, all the nerves seemed to melt away.
“you’re not just saying that because you overheard, right?”
you shook your head, taking a few steps closer until you were standing right in front of her. “i mean it, ingrid. i love you. i’ve loved you for a while now, and i’m not planning on stopping anytime soon.”
there was a moment of silence, and then she was pulling you into her arms, careful of your injury, holding you like she never wanted to let go.
“i love you too,” she whispered, and the words felt like a promise, something solid and real that you could hold onto.
fridolina cleared her throat, and you both looked over to see her giving you a thumbs-up.
“about time,” she said with a teasing grin.
“now, if you’ll excuse me, i’m going to leave you two lovebirds alone.”
once she was gone, ingrid pulled back just enough to look at you, her eyes shining with something you hadn’t seen before—a mix of relief, joy, and something deeper.
“i can’t believe you heard that.”
“best thing i’ve ever overheard.” you laughed, leaning in to kiss her, slow and soft.
she smiled against your lips, and when she pulled back, there was nothing but happiness in her eyes.
“i’m really glad you came to norway with me to meet my family,” she said, her voice tender. “it wouldn’t have been the same without you.”
“i wouldn’t have missed it for the world,” you replied, meaning every word.
“and now that i’m stuck on the sidelines, you’re going to have to keep carrying the team until i’m back.”
“no pressure, then,” she teased, and you both laughed, the sound filling the room, light and full of the kind of love that only grows stronger with time.
cookie monster — a calex short
— softies on their day off, one with raging stress and one who happens to have an obsession over sweets.
alex cabot is known for being notoriously good at many things. the squad, including her girlfriend, is often amazed by how she single-handedly tackles every inconvenience and has deemed her to be naturally skilled no matter what. she is just that good, whether in the courtroom, karaoke bar, polo field, and as casey would proudly flaunt, in the bedroom.
though despite her godly skills, the squad has learned that alex has her weaknesses and that there would always be one place where alex remains inferior, and that is the kitchen. she never understood how people got to smoothly create a meal for themselves, let alone a meal for her and her redhead. alex can vividly recall the last time she tried to make boiled eggs and ramen for casey but ended up causing a fire that eventually led to the pair deciding that casey would do the cooking and alex could set the table.
the squad has also had multiple encounters with alex disposing her mini fire extinguisher as they arrive at the couple’s place. they've also overheard casey, multiple times, talking on the phone with their repair guy to make a deal in regards to the burnt marks on the wall made by none other than alexandra cabot.
it may be put out in the world that alex can be disastrous in the kitchen, but she knows one recipe that for sure won't burn down the kitchen and guarantee her a good time in bed later that night, and those are sugar cookies. when alex found out about casey's love for sugar cookies, she made it her life's mission to figure out how to make a perfect batch that would make casey drool non-stop.
eventually, she did figure out how to do it and would occasionally make a batch for casey to eat at home or bring to work. casey has begged alex multiple times to make more than one batch but the blonde finds it challenging as she had tried it before and failed. her sugar cookies would become bitter cookies and sometimes it would even turn out salty. baking more than one batch makes her panic, which would then cause mishaps that can affect the entirety of her cookies.
today was different than her usual baking days, she was making 3 batches of sugar cookies, which was unsual for her. an orphanage whom she donated to and often assists, asked her to bake sugar cookies for their upcoming event. she had thought of turning down the favor but she was too shy to do so, plus, casey bragged too much about her mouth-watering cookies that even the kids—who casey plays with and gave cookies to—begged her for it. she was left with no choice but to do as told.
both casey and alex were on their day off, and casey left their place early to play softball with some old friends, leaving alex at home with her little project, and a fire extinguisher ready in the corner. the blonde was precise and careful about her measurements as she wants her cookies to be perfect, and she had to make a hundred for the little event, as requested. if her calculations were correct, 3 batches would make about 105 cookies—enough for the event and a little left for casey.
the redhead had just gotten home from her game when the smell of freshly baked sweets lingered in their duplex which tickled her nose making her smile. she followed the scent that led her to the kitchen where the blonde was caught focusing on her, what seems to be, third batch.
“are you making what i think you’re making?” casey smirks, leaning on the wall. alex looks up after pouring a cup of flour into the bowl, “the cookie monster’s favorite? why, yes” she smiles re-directing her focus to the batter in front of her. “i thought we weren’t interested in making big batches of cookies” casey says making her way towards her girlfriend, hugging her from the behind, slowly burying her face in her girlfriend’s neck, taking in her scent. “it’s for a charity event,” alex says turning around, facing her girlfriend who now, surprisingly, has a cookie in hand. “you can only get five though, so now you have four left” she says sternly.
“not fair.”
“i know, baby, but i’ll make you your own batch soon. after i finish this tedious ass task” she replies, cupping casey’s cheek and kissing her nose before letting go.
casey groans, rolling her eyes as she walks out of the kitchen. “i’ll be in the bedroom, scanning my cases” she says. “don’t think of anything stupid!” alex shouts from the kitchen. by the time casey had walked away from the kitchen, she had already thought of multiple ways to snatch more than four cookies. she had even thought of asking olivia to let her babysit noah as a distraction for alex while she baked. she looks at her pad paper, scratching out her little plans as she continues write more and more ideas.
she had already grown frustrated trying to plot her little scheme until she had her little light bulb moment.
“hey, baby” alex looks up at to see her girlfriend in her sports bra and boxer shorts, with her hair down, showing off her little curls. “yes, hon?” casey walks towards the kitchen island putting one hand on top of a tray full of cookies, sneakily grabbing two cookies. “i was thinking, for the charity event later, i’ll go with you” alex smiles,“that’s lovely, case. i’d love that” she says as she tips her toes trying to reach for casey’s lips who was at the other side of the island. “perfect. i’ll go pick out my clothes and i’ll be right back” casey walks away with two cookies in hand and a girlfriend who is unaware of the missing cookies in her tray.
a few minutes later, casey is back in the kitchen again, this time her choice of clothing has changed and she is more revealing. “alexandra,” she calls.
alex looks up raising her brows as she sees the redhead wearing only her panties. this was a sight to see for alex, except it was a view meant to be kept in the bedroom. she rushes towards casey, taking off her apron and putting it on casey who was all giggly.
“you like it don’t you?” alex was now red, distracted, and panicking. “yeah, babe, but this is for the bedroom only” casey chuckles, slowly pushing alex gently towards the island, kissing her just how she likes it before slowly moving her way towards alex’s neck. alex let out a soft moan, struggling to come up with a response “i-i- have co-cookies to finish” casey pauses before quickly letting go of alex giving her a soft but swift “okay”
“wait, so you’ll stop? just like that?” casey smiles, walking away farther away from the kitchen, “i mean yeah, you said you have cookies to bake so i’ll leave you to it” alex was baffled by the quick turn of event, which made her think, and all of a sudden, everything clicked.
“casey novak.” she calls, her tone low but not too aggressive.
casey stops in her tracks and stands stiffly. “yes?” she could feel the blonde getting near so she did the only valid thing to do in tense situations like this. “casey, nooooo” alex whines as she faces casey who now has 5 cookies shoved inside her mouth.
“ahm shory” alex sighs leaving the redhead and walking back towards the kitchen. “forget it.” alex starts cleaning up the kitchen and wrapping up the remainder of the baked cookies. “wait, baby, no. i’m sorry, we can make another batch,” casey says stopping alex’s hands from cleaning up. “no, we won’t. i’ll just give them not a hundred cookies and prove that i’m lousy and lazy and bad in the kitchen” she says moving casey’s hands gently. “they wont know” alex huffs.
“they will.” casey says walking towards her girlfriend and sliding her arms around her waist.
“they’ll be too busy eating your yummy cookies that they won’t know and even if you made a hundred or a thousand, it’ll never be enough. you know why?” alex stares into casey’s green eyes, relaxing her shoulders, “why?” casey smiles, moving alex’s loose hair to the side, getting a clear view of her beautiful blue eyes. “because it’s so good, they’ll be left wanting for more” she says before pulling alex closer and kissing her. “your cookies taste just as good as you babe, it leaves me wanting for more” casey says cheekily making alex laugh. “and if they notice and ask why there aren’t a hundred cookies?”
“tell them you have a cookie monster at home”
Master Escape Artist
Finished this in a sleep-deprived haze but wanted to get this one out before starting on Tickletober this year. This fic is heavily inspired from these headcannons from @cloudysfluffs
Also, I'd like to issue a formal apology for going MIA for literal months on end as I've been focusing on schoolwork and getting my certification but I'm hoping to get back into writing for this blog.
Anyways, hope you enjoy and feel free to send in any suggestions or prompts you'd like to see!
Pairings: Ler!Wendy, Switch!Dipper, Switch!Mabel (All Platonic)
Word Count: 3.5k (JEEZ)
Summary: Mabel has a reputation for being a ruthless tickler, dishing out tickle attacks to her friends and family whenever possible. To make matters worse, Mabel prides herself at being a so-called 'Master Escape Artist' as not a single person has been able to catch her. However, Mabel might've pushed her luck a bit to far when inadvertently challenging a certain friend who is more than ready to put her to the test.
Warnings: This is obviously going to be a tickle fic. Don't like? DOn't interact.
"AAAAHH-!! MABEL!- MABEL DOhohohoHOHON'T!! PLEHEHEHAAHAHAHAHA!!!-" Dipper squealed from his place on the floor where his twin had him pinned by the waist, as she ruthlessly dug her claws into his overly sensitive ribcage.
Dipper pushed, and screamed, and squealed as he fought frantically to escape even though he knew it would do him no good...he had been on the receiving end of his sister's cruelty enough to know that the moment she set her sights on you, it's over.
"Tickle, tickle, tickle! What's so funny, Dipper? I know you think that rude little joke you just made was hilarious, but you gotta get a hold of yourself!" Mabel said as she smiled through gritted teeth and dug in harder.
The twins had been hanging out in their room not five minutes ago when the topic of Mabel's weekly crush came up. Some boy she made eye contact with at the diner who was organizing stickers or something. This one's different! It's love at first sight...again.
Dipper just flipped through the pages of his journal as half-listened to Mabel's love-sick rant. He might've had a passing thought to himself that wasn't as silent as he had hoped. Something along the lines of making sure that boy didn't make out with his stickers or something like that.
And that little slip-up was what had got him chased all throughout the Mystery Shack until he was finally tackled to the floor of the gift shop, where Soos and Wendy happened to be no less, and was now getting the snot tickled out of him.
"AAAAAAAAHH!!! STOHOHOHOHOP! PLEHEHEHESE-IT WAS JUHUHUST AHAHA JOHOHOKE!! IHIH'M SOHORRY!!"
Wendy had long put down her magazine as she watched the scene unfold in front of her. Resting her chin in her hand and leaning over the counter as she watched her friends play. Soos, on the other hand, seemed to be avoiding eye contact at all costs, still sweeping as he pretended not to notice what was happening.
Eventually, Dipper's frantic squealing died down when Mabel had slowly gotten off of him once she decided he'd had enough. She offered a hand, but the boy opted to curl into a ball instead as he worked on recovering from the attack.
Mabel bent down to poke her brother's head condescendingly as she spoke, "Next time, think twice about poking fun at my love life!" The girl laughed playfully.
"Dang Mabel, you're pretty ruthless. Honestly thought you were trying to kill him for a sec." Wendy commented from her spot behind the counter.
"Oh, that?" Mabel laughed. "That was nothing. Couple nights ago Grunkle Stand and I got him so good he was hiccuping for at least ten minutes after we stopped!"
"Mabel!" Dipper hushed from his fetal position still on the floor.
The boy forced himself to at least sit upright and save at least some dignity. He turned away to grab his hat he had shaken off during the tussle hoping it would help hide his burning face from Wendy.
The older girl just chuckled at the scene before turning her focus back to Mabel.
"Y'know, I'd watch my back if I were you. Push your luck too far and Dipper's bound to get revenge sooner or later."
Mabel barked out a laugh before chucking herself, as if what Wendy had just said had been the most ridiculous thing she'd ever heard.
"HA!- Hahahahahaa. Oh Wendy, Wendy, Wendy, you're hilarious! But I'll have you know Dipper, and everyone else for that matter, has already tried their luck and failed miserably. I'm a master escape artist and way to slippery for Dipper's sweaty little hands." Mabel giggled at hearing another hushed protest from her brother.
"In fact, I don't think I've been tickled in years! Guess everyone just gave up trying since they know it's pointless, that and the fact that I always get them back for even trying!"
Never in her life had Wendy seen so much cheek from a single person before now.
"Oh? I wouldn't say that if I were you, squirt. You might jinx your luck and test the wrong person." Wendy said looking down at the other.
"No. Mabel's right, unfortunately." Dipper chimed in, picking himself up off the floor with a small huff. "She's impossible to catch, not just for me and Grunkle Stan but our parents, Candy, Grenda, it really doesn't matter. No one stands a chance at catching her unless she wants to be caught."
"See!" Mabel smirked and gestured towards her brother. "I got tons of references! This master escape artist had yet to be defeated! My perfect streak remains unbroken and I dare anyone who would try to break it!"
Mabel boasted herself with the upmost confidence anyone would expect from a naive twelve-year-old. However, what she didn't notice was the older girl in front of her stretching her muscles during her entire rant.
"Welp, guess that settles it then." Wendy honed her eyes on her friend. "You ready?"
"Wait what-"
Mabel barely had time to blink before Wendy had effortlessly jumped over the counter meer inches from grabbing her. The girl shouted in surprise as she scurried away to the opposite side of the room.
Not wasting a second, Wendy ran towards her. Mabel shouted again, completely caught off guard by this turn of events which had unfortunately cost her a few precious seconds.
The younger girl managed to slip past her attacker and jump over a pile of merchandise which she toppled over in hopes to trip the other.
Mabel sprinted towards Soos, who was frozen and staring in shock at what was unfolding in front of him. Already flustered and feeling awkward from being in the same room as someone getting tickled, he did NOT want any part of what was happening now.
"AH-Dude! I really don't think you guys should be doing this-!" Soos exclaimed nervously towards the kid who was now behind him. Mabel managed to run behind her friend and grab onto him and was now using Soos as a human shield.
Soos grew even more sweaty and awkward as Wendy faced him and attempted to reach around to grab Mabel. The two kept this up for almost a full minute and Soos thought he was about to die of embarrassment.
Dipper, however, was having a blast! Never before had he seen his twin struggle this much to outrun somebody! Not to mention she actually looked nervous! Oh, how Dipper wished he had a camera on him right now! Mabel may have actually pushed her luck too far this time.
Realizing the human-shield plan wasn't working out to well as she'd hoped. Mabel climbed up on her friend's shoulders and managed to slide herself on top of the vending machine.
Unfortunately for her though, Mabel forgot she was being chased by an actual lumberjack.
Wendy followed her up with no difficulty and with no other places to climb, she managed to grab the girl around her torso.
Dipper gasped, thinking his sister had finally gotten herself caught. Until Mabel raised both arms above her head and slipped out of her sweater and off the vending machine with a surprising amount of grace.
Wendy grunted in frustration and tossed the sweater on Soos's head before jumping off herself and resuming their little chase.
Mabel sprinted towards the door of the gift shop. There's no way Wendy would be able to catch her if she'd managed to get outside. Almost there...
Almost!
It was at that moment that Dipper had made the split-second decision to sabotage his sister's escape by lifting his leg up to trip her up before she ran pass him.
The girl fell to the floor with a loud oomf, eyes going wide as she realized what had just happened.
Dipper felt a pang in his chest at the utterly betrayed look on his poor sister face. But that was soon forgotten as Wendy caught up to them and used her weight to pin Mabel down to her spot on the floor.
"Nice one, Dipper!" Wendy have him a thumbs up and a wink which of course caused the tween to stutter and blush.
"Oh! W-Well y'know, I-I just thought th-that I m-might as well try a-and-"
"LET ME GOOO!!!! AGH-NOOOO!!" Dipper's Stuttering was interrupted by his sister's panicked wailing.
Mabel fought and thrashed and shrieked as she struggled to wriggle herself out from under Wendy, who was now scrambling to catch Mabel's arms in order to pin them down.
"AAH- NONONONONO!! THIS ISN'T FAAAIR!! YOU CHEHEHEHEATED!! THIHIHIHIS DOESN'T COHOHOHOHOUNT!!!"
Oh God, Mabel was losing it. She must've already guessed what was coming if that utterly panicked laughter was anything to go by. Dipper couldn't remember seeing Mabel this nervous over anything!
As she'd mentioned earlier, it had been years since Mabel was on the receiving end of one of these attacks, so safe to say that she wasn't at all prepared for what was no doubt coming her way.
"Dipper! Ack- A little help?!" Wendy grunted as she dodged Mabel's flailing limbs.
"Oh! Right- Sorry!" Dipper said awkwardly as he shook his thoughts away and seated himself right above his sister's head.
Mabel's desperate protests doubled down as she watched Dipper approach her. She bargained and apologized and begged her brother not to do this to her as her thrashing continued.
Dipper just huffed out an apologetic laugh at her dramatics. "Heh. Sorry sis, but you've had this coming for a while now. Plus, you did tickle the snot out of me just now so I don't think begging is gonna get you outta this one..." Dipper said as he playfully ruffled her hair before reaching out to grab her wrists.
Oh she was so screwed...
Mabel screwed her eyes shut and threw her arms down over her torso and locked them around herself with an iron grip, suddenly realizing how exposed her upper body was without her sweater.
"Alright, you wanna play that game, huh?" Wendy let out an evil chuckle. "Well then, let's see how long you'll be able to keep that up." The older girl said before pinching what little she could reach of the younger girl's sides.
The answer was, apparently: not long at all.
Mabel broke immediately at the overwhelming tingling sensation the fingers brought to her sides. The girl howled and shot her arms down to grab at the offending hands. To which, Wendy twisted her wrists out of the girl's grip and finally managed to get a hold of the appendages.
"Dipper!" Wendy called out for the other to take the girl's wrists which the tween struggled to pull back above her head, eventually managing to pin them down although it nearly his entire body weight.
Wendy leaned back and wiped the sweat off her brow. "Phew! Gotta say kid, I underestimated you! You definitely weren't lying about being a, what'd you call it? "Master Escape Artist"?" The teen chuckled. "Luckily for me though that your latest victim was right here ready to sell you out, huh?" Wendy laughed and she shot Dipper another thumbs up.
The teasing only served to darken the girl's already pink face as she frantically shook her head. "You guhuhuhuhuys cheatehehehed! I'll get you guhuhuys bahahahack fohor this, I swehehear!"
The older girl just tutted and shook her head down at her. "There's that cocky attitude again. Well, maybe you'll learn to have a bit of empathy for you little victims once you've had a taste of your own medicine..."
And with that, Wendy's fingers found their way back to the poor kid's sides. Slowly spidering up to the bottom of the girl's ribcage and down again to the top of her hips.
Up...and down...and up...and down...
Mabel couldn't hold back the shriek that punched its way out of her throat.
The poor kid began kicking her feet out frantically and arched her back and the torturous feeling. Practically growling as she gritted her teeth and pressed the back of her head to the floorboards. Hoping to relieve at least some of the unbearable tingling in her stomach.
The gentle gliding of the older teen's fingers absolutely threw Mabel for a loop and did absolutely nothing to quell the swarm of butterflies that had followed her ever since the beginning of their little chase.
She had expected Wendy to go ham on her right off the bat just as she'd done to Dipper not even five minutes ago, but nope. Wendy's fingers just continued to glide their way up and down Mabel's sides, never straying from that agonizingly slow pace. Over and over and over again...
Eventually, Mabel's frantic thrashing had died down and the shrieking protests from before had dissolved into a stream of high-pitched cackling.
"Still feeling all high and mighty ya little brat?" Wendy playfully chuckled down at her friend. "Jeez, I wonder how this 'Master Escape Artist' is gonna get out of this one."
Mabel gritted her teeth at that comment, managing to stifle her laughter for a moment.
"Y-Yohohou guhuys are thehe wohohohorst!"
Dipper couldn't help but laugh a bit at his twin's predicament. "Aww, what's the matter Mabel? You not enjoying this game now that you're on the other end of the stick, huh? Maybe now you'll think twice before dishing out what you can't take."
"I'LL KIHIHIHILL YOU!!"
Wendy and Dipper both laughed at Mabel's dramatic outburst. Their teasing seemed to really be doing a number on her. Dipper made sure to remember that for later...
"Y'know what?" Wendy chimed in. "Maybe I'm being too nice...we really need to drill this lesson into her."
No sooner had the word left her mouth had the gentle gliding stopped, before Wendy's fingers began mercilessly drilling into the younger girl's hips and the frantic shrieking started up again.
"NAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAA- STAAHAHAHA- STAHAP IHIHIT!!! NAHAHAHAA!!"
The absolute switch from zero to a hundred left the poor tween scrambling to form any sort of coherent words, completely unprepared for the sudden attack.
Dipper, being the good brother he is, had been keeping close watch on his sister's reactions during this entire ordeal. He had already guessed that Mabel wouldn't cope as well as he did being on the receiving end of their little game and although it felt good to finally get some revenge, the thought of pushing his twin past her limits worried him a bit.
So it was no surprise that he'd noticed the little hiccup Mabel's breath took as she was shocked with the sudden rougher tickling, and how she was struggling to accommodate for it through her frantic laughter.
With that, Dipper had motioned for Wendy to stop. The older teen had retracted her hands almost immediately, worried she'd gone to far until Dipper gave her a thumbs up along with a reassuring smile as the two of them waited for Mabel to catch her breath.
The girl kept her eyes squeezed shut as she gulped in air, refusing to look at either of them right now.
"Hah...you guhuhuys...are...evil." Mabel complained, which only earned her more chuckling from her tormenters.
"You still makin' it, squirt?" Wendy asked, ruffling her hair. "You looked like you were struggling there for a second."
Mabel scoffed, finally opening her eyes just to roll them at that last comment.
"Oh please! As if you guys would break me that easy! A little tickling isn't gonna make me curl up and die, I'm not Dipper after all!" She said as she shot a defiant grin up at her brother. One that definitely said that she'd get him back for this later.
Dipper and Wendy stared at one another, completely shook at the utter audacity of this bi-
"Wow. This really is her first time, huh?" Wendy asked as she cracked her knuckles.
"If it weren't obvious enough already, yeah." Dipper responded, adjusting his position on her upper arms. His expression was a lot less amused than the older girl's at that last jab. "Flip her over."
"Wait, what?!-" Mabel's smug grin was immediately replaced with confused panic as the two of them quickly flipped her over on her stomach faster than she could react.
"Hey!" Mabel protested as her thrashing picked back up once again and the other two struggled a bit to regain their grip on her.
Once they steadied themselves, Wendy shot her friend a questioning look, asking where they were going with this.
Dipper struggled a bit longer but eventually regained his footing even as his sister tried to bite him twice.
"Finally." Dipper sighed before acknowledging his friend's questioning look.
"Well okay, uh so...this is j-just a minor d-detail I've noticed a uh...a while back-it might not even be true, b-but I- uh- figured it'd be worth a shot..." Dipper struggled as he tried to cough out an explanation. Suddenly feeling very nervous about exposing this information to his crush.
"So uh...t-there's this one sp-spot I've noticed t-that is pretty...bad for uh- pretty much o-our whole family so I...I- uh- thought that-that might be something we could uh- t-try."
Wendy chuckled a bit to herself as she sat back and watched her friend stutter hopelessly through his word vomit. "Aaaaaand? What spot might that be, Dipper?" The redhead asked with a smug smile plastered on her face.
On the other hand, Mabel was a lot less amused by her twin's pathetic stuttering as a new wave of panic dawned on her when she realized exactly where Dipper was about to take this. And if this little hunch of his was right, and that this spot was even half as bad as it was for Dipper?...
Yeeeeah...Maybe that latest jab at her brother wasn't the brightest idea.
Mabel couldn't see her twin gesture towards the small of her back as she let out her own string of stutters that rivaled her brother's.
"W-Wait. Guys, c-come ohohon! P-Please? I was j-just joking around! L-Let's go do something else...I'm g-getting bored of this already..."
Mabel also couldn't see the truly evil grin Wendy flashed as she looked down at her once again.
"Oh, alright...if that's really the case then you can just apologize to Dipper for that little insult and for that cocky attitude of yours. That last one shouldn't be too hard, considering you've finally been defeated..."
"-AND you have to promise not to try to get either of us back after this!" Dipper made sure to add that little detail, more for his own sake than Wendy's as Mabel would surely go after him first.
But as always, Mabel's pride got the best of her...
"No way! Nuh-uh! Nada! You guys cheated and deserve whatever I- EEEEAAAAAAAA- AAAAAAHAHA-WAAAAAIT!!!- WAITWAITWAIT- NOHOHOHOHOOOO!!!"
"Welp, we tried." Wendy snickered as her fingers scribbled relentlessly on the tween's lower back.
Okay, yeah. Mabel definitely regretted that statement.
Oh gosh, it was so much worse than she thought...
Mabel had completely flipped out the second those fingers began wriggling on her back. Shocks of ticklish energy zipped throughout her entire body as her worst spot was tormented. The poor girl absolutely howled with laughter as she struggled harder than ever before to escape.
Her mind spun at the absolutely torturous feeling. The ruthless tickling left her brain to scrambled to even get a word out through her screeching fit, unable to apologize even if she wanted too.
Mabel wasn't sure how long this went on or when exactly she had been freed from the weight of her tormenters because the moment she regained consciousness, she found herself curled into a fetal position on the floor...
Dipper and Wendy groaned painfully as they sat up from the floor, where they had landed after Mabel had bucked and thrown them off during her struggle.
Mabel had survived a whole eleven seconds (Dipper counted) of back tickling before gaining some kind of god-like strength and was able to throw both of them off of her from sheer force of will.
"Hey...you ok?" Dipper asked as he made his way over to his twin.
"What...happened?" Mabel huffed.
"You LAUNCHED us dude!" Wendy laughed as she stood up and made her way to her friends. "Would never have guessed you had that kind of muscle in you! Girl doesn't know her own strength 'til being tickled to death, huh?" Wendy teased, giving her friend a playful punch to the arm. "You alright though?"
Mabel sat up as she regained her bearings. "Yeah...just uh...slightly traumatized." She said with the most shell-shocked expression she could muster, earning a laugh from the two on either side of her.
"Well, I guess this means that you've gained a bit of perspective and you'll go easier on us from now on, huh?" Dipper asked a bit hopefully.
Mabel slowly turned towards her brother. Fixing her gaze on him as she remembered he had betrayed her not once, but twice in the last half hour.
"Yeah. You'd like that wouldn't you?" Mabel said coldly before launching herself at her brother the second time that evening.
Dipper had barely managed to dodge as he scrambled off the floor. "W-Wait! Mabel we can talk about this!!"
And with that, yet another chase had broken out that evening. Wendy laughed to herself as she watched the two twins sprint frantically throughout the Mystery Shack, deciding to leave them to it before clocking out and going about the rest of her day.
A/N: Whew, okay I'm absolutely exhausted after this one and I'm not to sure if I stuck the landing or not. Either way, hope you enjoyed and lmk what you think!
Indianapolis Bones and the Very Annoyed God of Mischief
In this post I proposed the idea of a President Loki + Mobius variant based on Owen's Dr. Indianapolis Bones SNL skit, and then I couldn't stop thinking about it so here's a bit of flash fiction based on that. Enjoy!
ETA: There's now a 4+1 expanded version of this on AO3!
--
“It’s such an honor to have you here, sir.”
Since Loki had walked in, the restaurant's manager had been practically falling over himself with praise. He'd nearly wept when Loki handed out "Vote Loki" pins for the staff to wear. The Midgardians were finally treating him as he deserved, even if he wasn't their king...yet.
A woman ran up to whisper something in the manager's ear and he brightened.
“Your table is ready, sir. Right this way.”
Loki followed the man deeper into the restaurant, smirking as every head in the place turned to watch him and his collection of black-suited bodyguards. He didn’t need their protection but it amused him to think of humans throwing themselves at other humans at his behest.
Loki caught the eye of one elegantly dressed woman and winked, causing her to flush prettily. Her date seemed entirely unamused at the “come hither” look she was sending Loki’s way. The only people who didn’t turn to watch Loki’s entrance were a group seated at a long table at the center of the room. They appeared to be in a heated discussion.
The manager paused by a small table next a window with what looked like a decent view of the river, even if Loki found Midgard’s scenery somewhat lacking compared to Asgard. Before Loki could sit, there was a clatter of dishware and both he and the restaurant's manager turned to see the source.
An extremely nervous-looking waiter had dropped the stack of dishes they were collecting onto a nearby table. Their attention was focused on a different waiter, or at least someone dressed as such, who stood at the far end of the long table, holding a gun. Loki raised an eyebrow. This was an interesting development.
The waiter with the gun was pointing it at an unassuming man seated at the end of the table. The man’s blonde hair was on the long side and, paired with his beard, gave him an unkempt look in Loki’s opinion. The horrible beige plaid blazer he wore wasn’t helping.
Loki blinked and suddenly everyone else at the table had a gun out, all pointed at the man, who only smiled in response. Everyone in the dining room seemed to be holding their breath as the man took a brown fedora out from under the table and settled it on his head.
"Now, now, let's not be too hasty." His voice had a pleasant drawl to it. He held his hands up as he stood slowly.
“Just give us the map!” snapped one of the women at the table.
“Sorry, can't do that,” the man replied and winked. He was either incredibly brave or very stupid given the circumstances.
When the man slowly lowered his hand to his hip, Loki felt a brief spike of excitement. Was he about to witness a bloodbath? Unexpectedly, the man freed a long whip. With two quick cracks, he took out the light on the table and the chandelier overhead, bringing it crashing down and plunging the room into darkness.
At least two of the guns went off after that, which made Loki roll his eyes. For how frail they were, Midgardians were always so reckless with their weapons.
“Sir! Get down!” That was one of his men. They knew better than to grab him and simply lunged past, likely intending to tackle and disarm the gun wielders. Loki heard the sound of scuffling and was about to fling up a light—waiting in the dark was tedious—when someone did bump into him.
“You look important and I'd hate for you to get hurt, so probably best to come along with me.” The easy drawl was recognizable, though the man with the whip sounded slightly winded now. Then he wrapped an arm around Loki's waist and hurried them both away from the sounds of fighting.
Loki was so stunned at the audacity of being manhandled, he was outside before he fully registered what had happened. He tried to shove the man off but he’d already stepped away. Inexplicably, the man now wore a leather jacket instead of the plaid blazer. Now able to get a better look at the man, Loki was dismayed to find the bright blue eyes and lopsided smile were annoyingly attractive.
“Hey, are those a family heirloom?” the man asked, gesturing to Loki’s golden horns. “They look pretty good for an antique.”
“I beg your pardon?” Loki snapped. “Do you have any idea who I am?!”
“Of course! How could I forget with the horns and all.” The man waved again and a long silence followed his words. Then a huge grin split his face. “Actually, I don't, but hopefully you won’t hold it against me. I’m Indy by the way, short for Indianapolis. My parents were kind of kooky.”
Before Loki had a chance to inform this ridiculous Midgardian that he didn't care what his name was, or what his parents were like, the back door of the restaurant slammed open.
“There he is!”
It was the diners who’d pulled guns in the restaurant.
“Oops, gotta go. See you around, friend!” The man—Indy, apparently—clapped a hand to his hat to keep it from flying off and ran into the night. Gunshots rang out in response and the bullets whizzed by Loki, close enough to further annoy him. He gestured at the gaggle of people spilling out of the restaurant and, with a flash of green light, they vanished. Seconds later, Loki's bodyguards came rushing out.
Loki wasn't impressed by their delay in finding him, but he had something more important to address.
He pointed at the fleeing man in the fedora. “Find that man—Indianapolis…something—and bring him to me.”
The people who’d been chasing Indy might have been able to answer his questions, but Loki had sent them elsewhere without giving much thought as to where. As half of the bodyguards took off in pursuit, Loki stalked back inside, followed by the rest. He would get his answers one way or another.
Girls Night
A/N: yay lesbians. i really cant tell if this is good or not
Pairing: Arashi Narukami x fem! reader
Warnings: suggestive at points, sexual tension
Content: Arashi is trying to help her girlfriend get ready for a girls night with Pretty 5, but it seems like they both have something different on their minds.
Words: 656
Oneshot after cut!
"Please, just stay still!"
"No! You're gonna poke my damn eye out!"
"No I won't! Stop being so dramatic"
I wasn't too sure how I ended up in this situation. Sitting on the floor, makeup products scattered all around me as Arashi desperately tried to "make me more beautiful" as she put it. She had already convinced me to put some foundation on-which I could tolerated to an extent-but the eyeliner stick she held in her hand now was leading me to question why I let her do this.
"Please (name)! I promise I'll be gentle" She whined, a large pout on her face as she slowing inched closer and closer to me with the eyeliner, "you need to look good for girls night!"
I turned my head and shuffled away from the blond idol, hiding my head in my hands, "I do not need a full face of makeup for girls night, and you look good enough for the both of us. If you come any closer to me with that thing I swear-Ah!"
Before I could finish my sentence, I was tackled by a pair of strong arms. My head hit the floor and my whole head went foggy for a second. As my vision slowly came back, I was greeted by the sight of Arashi straddling my hips and pinning my arms above my head, a smirk playing at her lips.
"Got you~" She giggled, bringing the eyeliner down closer to my eye.
"H-hey! Naru-chan! Let me go!" I kicked and thrashed to no avail, Arashi had me well and truly trapped.
"Oh please, its not the first time we've been in this position" She giggled again, her breath hot against my face.
My face went hot at the implications of her words and I turned my head away, opting to stay silent rather than even try arguing with her.
"Thats what I thought. Now stay still"
She quickly got to work, brushing the pencil gently across my lash line, occasionally pausing to admire her handy work. Her tounge was hanging out of her mouth slightly and her eyes were hyper-focused on my features. I felt like a woman possessed as I watched her work, her movements were so delicate and soft and the look on her face was so... intense.
It was all causing a familiar warmth to grow in my lower belly.
"All done" Arashis voice snapped me out of my trance, my eyes darting to meet hers. She smirked down at me, a mischievous glint in her eye, "What are you looking at me like that for, (name)?"
I swallowed the lump in my throat and shook my head, unable to find my words under Arashis gaze. Her blue eyes that were usually so bright were filled with a darkness I only ever saw when we were alone.
"Oh? Nothing to say? Hm, that's okay. I suppose it's about time for us to go anyway. The rest of Pretty 5 will be waiting for us" She finally released my arms from her grip and stood up, leaving me dumbfounded and flustered on the ground.
She held her hand out to me and I gratefully accepted it, allowing her to pull me to my feet and steady me. Humming, she brushed a strand of hair behind my ear and gave me a soft kiss on the forehead.
"You're so beautiful, (name)" Her voice was soft and sweet and my cheeks dusted pink at her words.
"T-thank you... so are you" I nuzzled into her shoulder.
She giggled and pulled away from me, playfully bopping me on the nose, "I know it. Come on, let's go"
With that, she skipped away towards the door. I obediently followed behind her, still reeling from the previous events and the lingering feeling in my lower half.
I couldn't wait for what Arashi had in store for me tonight.
