Good Food = Good Brain
Lizzy: What is this?
Lizzy pokes at her plate, and Annelie blinks as she sits down.
Annelie: Uh... Satan, what did we make again?
Satan: Vegetable Stuffed Mandragora with Flambéed Snapdragon Wings.
Annelie: The mandragora is tasty for beginners to Devildom cooking.
Annelie points at the black root vegetable full of assorted vegetables.
Annelie: Also Lucifer says not to eat the bones in the wings, but they’re nice and crunchy. Plus the marrow tastes like mushrooms.
Lucifer sighs while Lizzy taps nervously at the snapdragon wings.
Lizzy: How did you bite through this?
Annelie: Hm? Oh, maybe my jaw muscles got a little stronger. Anyway, thank you Satan.
Lucifer: What about me?
Annelie: Yes, good job, sous chef number one.
Annelie pets his head, and he bites her finger while Satan snickers.
I'm just glad they'll cook in the same kitchen... the two of them are evil when they actually cooperate.
Simeon: Thank you to Satan, Lucifer, and Anne. I appreciate it.
Beel says thank you through a mouthful of food
Lizzy: Are you two married or what?
Lucifer pauses, even as Annelie and the others start digging into their dinner.
Levi: Might as well be. They're practically glued to each other.
Lizzy finally starts cutting into her meal.
Lizzy: I could see that. And they're not newlyweds?
Lucifer: No. Annelie never proposed to me.
Annelie: You’re going to make me do it?
Lucifer: Oh, please, you love getting on your knees for me.
Lizzy: God, why did I ask.
Annelie: Watch your language.
Lizzy: What? God?
Annelie points at Lucifer, who rolls his eyes.
Annelie: He hates his dad.
Lucifer playfully smacks her upside the head.
Lucifer: Annelie, you’re already getting punished tonight.
Satan: I thought we all agreed no talking about sex at the dinner table.
Lucifer: It’s not my fault your mind is in the gutter, Satan.
Lizzy: Wow, he literally just said it’s a skill issue.
Annelie lets out a snort.
Lizzy: So the whole falling from heaven thing actually happened?
The room falls eerily silent as Lucifer takes a forkful of the mandragora.
Lucifer: Yes.
Annelie: Let’s not talk about that.
Lizzy: Landmines, landmines everywhere.
Annelie: You learn to avoid them. Actually, speaking of heaven...
Annelie glances at Simeon.
Annelie: Didn’t you say earlier that you were immune to SBD?
Simeon: Hm? Ah, oh, yes.
Annelie’s brows furrow.
Annelie: Do you have any idea why?
Simeon: Hm... well, it’s not like succubus magic has never affected me, so I don’t think it’s that.
Annelie: Then the bacteria have a problem with your biology? What, is your body made of holy water?
The boys snicker.
Simeon: Possibly. Haha.
Belphie: He has antibodies against being horny.
Satan: That sounds like a joke, but what if that’s actually the case?
Annelie: Then we use his antibodies for a vaccine?
Lucifer: Injecting Celestial proteins into a demon’s body?
Annelie: ...yeah, that sounds really unsafe, doesn’t it?
Lizzy: Okay, sorry to interrupt, but what are you guys talking about? Some kind of horny disease?
Annelie: Ah... well, it doesn’t really affect you, so...
Satan: I think it’s doable if we take proper measures.
Annelie: If it’s doable, then why didn’t Barbatos say anything about it?
Belphie: Honestly, he’s probably not thinking the best right now. Even with that tea, he was making a lot of mistakes. I actually caught him hitting his head against the wall.
Annelie: Oi... is he even okay? Are you?
Belphie: I’d say no. It probably takes everything he has just to fulfill his basic duties as a butler. It certainly takes everything I have to nap for longer than four hours.
Annelie: So we should probably have Solomon work on Simeon?
Simeon: Uh... please no. That’s a little...
Annelie: ...yeah, it’s a little...
Lizzy: GAY.
Lizzy grins as a collective snort travels through the room.
Satan: Disregarding that you could have phrased that better, we should probably call Solomon back here and have him work with us.
Asmo: I’m in favor of that idea~
Lucifer sighs.
Lucifer: Asmo...
Belphie: Don’t fuck him while he’s here.
Mammon chokes on his drink while Lizzy spits out hers.
Satan: WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT SEX TALK AT THE DINNER TABLE!?

Lilith knew she shouldn't be as offended as she was. Of course Beatrice and Ava would start a regular game night with their local friends.
With serious demonic threats growing increasingly infrequent and Jillian aiding the OCS in being ready for the threats that did exist, few situations required the presence of the Warrior Nun.
Beatrice and Ava had fallen into a disgustingly domestic lifestyle. Beatrice was going to university and Ava was studying for her school equivalencies. They worked at a local bar together, where Beatrice had once again become management in record time. They attended art classes at a local studio. They were saving money to buy Ava a Vespa and planning to visit Australia and New Zealand in the summer.
They were such an idyllic and utterly insufferable couple.
Lilith would have been foolish to think their little unit would always remain close. She'd have to be an idiot to think she'd remain one of their few friends when Beatrice and Ava deserved to thrive for all they'd been through.
So Lilith resolves to not be angry. It's the next phase of their lives. Lives she had a heavy hand in making more difficult. They'll still talk when situations call for their aid in missions and the pair make it a point to regularly visit the Cat's Cradle when they can.
"Did it never occur to you that you have a standing invitation to Game Night?" Beatrice tells her over a video call, looking as disappointed as Lilith had seen her since her days of doing Adriel's bidding. Of course it hadn't occurred to her for even a moment.
"We didn't think we had to plan too far ahead with you since you kind of love bamf'ing around everywhere in the blink of an eye. We'll make sure to call your manager to book an appointment in two weeks." Ava joins in on the call with a giant bowl of popcorn and the world's most annoying grin.
"Why would I want to hang out with you and your friends?" Lilith fires back, partly out of habit and partly to give her brain some time to realize that she's wanted as part of their silly little game night with their painfully average friends. It made her nervous. It made her heart beat faster. It made her face flush. She was wanted at their stupid little game night.
"Because you love winning and and hate our friend Ramon. His hair is yellow and purple now." Beatrice says, easily baiting her with two things she loves, winning and the chance to humiliate someone she detests. He really needs to choose a hair color and stop vaping so much.
"Plus there's Clue. You love Clue. We won't be playing Monopoly because no one wants bloodshed tonight" She hears Camila say as Beatrice turns the phone so she can wave hello. In the background she can see that Mary and Yasmine are there as well. Along with some of Beatrice's classmates, Mary has setup the day's running game of Catan and Yasmine seems lost already.
"Fine, let me change. I'll be there shortly. I'll bring wine. Good wine, not...whatever Ava found on sale." She says before disconnecting the call. She's invited to game night. She has a standing invitation. There are people who still want her around.
She won't cry over something so frivolous. It's just a game night. With the people she might consider family and some of Ava and Beatrice's annoying friends. She's going to pop into her parent's wine cellar and pick something not too expensive, maybe something from the 80s and then she's going to that little apartment in Switzerland and she's going to destroy Ramon.

Chicago Fire Season 2 Ep. 11 "Shoved in My Face"
Tumblr media
Casey returns to the firehouse after nearly being killed in the apartment fire but has double vision. Shay meets her new partner, Allison, who doesn't like her. Dawson starts fire academy training. Severide starts teaching at the Academy and doesn't like one of the students. Molly's is still struggling. Clarke still won't talk to the police about killing his wife's lover, even though the murder weapon looks like a weapon Clarke used in the Marines.
If you want to watch the series for yourself, stop reading! This post contains spoilers to the storyline.
After Casey nearly died, he and Dawson announced their relationship to Firehouse 51. Mills is happy for them, but it's bittersweet. Dawson starts her first day training as a firefighter. She's nervous during orientation when she learns there's only one other woman in her class. She's smart, fearless and trains with confidence. Dawson has competition.
At 51, Shay struggles with her new ice-queen EMT partner Rafferty, who ignores her even after a botched plastic surgery call. When Shay asks why she's being ignored, Rafferty says she doesn't like Shay's lifestyle. Boden also tells Shay that an attorney wants to interview her about the suicide she witnessed. This makes Shay very upset, and it happens at the same time as the attorney arrives at the firehouse. Shay hides and asks Rafferty to lie for her. He does. Maybe they've found something in common. Matt broke his lock because of his injury.
Clarke is still complaining about his suspension as Chicago P.D. investigates his role in the Hayes murder. Despite Detective Halstead's plea, Clarke stays silent. CPD brings in Mills for a chat. Phone records show Clarke's wife cheated on him with Hayes and when Hayes ended it, she got jealous. Mills tells Clarke this in person, but he wants to hear it from Lisa herself. She denies it, but looks away. That's all he needs to know. Clarke goes back to Halstead with his alibi.
A call sends the team to a wreck. A pole has gone through a car windshield and hit the driver. Casey promises the driver a beer if he makes it out alive. He keeps the driver calm while they use a blowtorch to free him from the pole. But Casey's calmness goes away when he's alone. He can't remember the combination to his locker. He breaks the lock and replaces it. But when Dawson asks about his recovery, Casey lies and changes the subject. New place, new start.
Herrmann and Otis react the same way when they see a notification about Molly's. The bank owns it. With the bar in limbo, Otis welcomes an unlikely distraction - Severide's half-sister, Katie. She flirts with him at the firehouse and they play Settlers of Catan. A game reveals their feelings, and they kiss.
Dawson notes that Jones is attracted to their teacher, Severide. He doesn't mind when she joins them on Truck, but Severide gets angry when she makes a negative comment about a fellow recruit and throws her out of the academy. He thinks she's out of the picture, but her family's connected to CFD, so Severide has to change his mind. Jones isn't leaving.
A call sends everyone to a fire. When the squad arrives, they find bank robbers. The squad is taken hostage and the room fills with smoke as the fire gets stronger. Everyone leaves, except Casey and the gunman. Enraged, Casey tackles him and beats him. Mouch pulls Casey away, worried about him.
Everyone is safe and back at the station. Boden makes a big announcement. Mills is on the squad. The party at Molly's is a big success, but Casey doesn't attend. He goes to the hospital to see the victim from the wrought iron rescue. He pulls out a six-pack and they share a beer. They're happy to be alive.

She'd arrived at his apartment some 20 minutes prior, only to be greeted by his pajama clad roommate eating off-brand cheetos and being told Skeeter had headed off to the club. She refused the offer to "come in and play Catan" with a roll of her eyes and a stomping down the hallway, determined to go and find her wayward (ex)boyfriend. She exits the car and slams the door behind her, tossing her long dark hair over her shoulder and glaring at the building where she knew Skeeter was currently probably grinding with some other bitch (despite her looks and generational wealth, Gabriella suffered severely with a deep-rooted inferiority complex instilled by a lifetime of being held under the scrutiny of her mothers perfectionist tendencies). Gabs flashes her ID to the bouncer and enters the room, scanning around with an intense fury as she looks for the gangling form of Skeeter Dawson Higgins III. She stops dead when she spots him, sat at the bar with some other woman fawning all over him. It was like time stopped and there was a hitch in her breath as she took stock of them sitting there, too close. She'd always accused him of cheating on her in their arguments because, what else was there to scream when you're angry? But she always knew that he never actually had. So what the fuck was this? Her rage quickly returned and burned hotter in her chest than ever before, she took a deep breath and straightened her posture, strutting her way over to the pair and placing herself at the triangular point next to their stools. She clears her throat. "Excuse me" a quick angry glance at Skeet before turning back to the woman "who the fuck are you and why are you talking so familiarly with my boyfriend" Gabs glare is white hot and dagger filled as it lands on the beauty next to him, her skin bristling as she takes in the others appearance, furious and also, deep down, a little hurt that Skeeter was actually making her worst nightmare come true.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Oh, I'm getting fucked tonight," one way or another. She knocks back a mouthful and has the usual amount of face-pulling for someone taking a nice shot of vodka. Her taste buds aren't completely ruined simply a little numb. given the extra effort taken to fuck her liver up. "Xio," she answers with one of those pretty smiles. He's cuter now he's embarrassed: pink ears and goofy smile make him look like easy prey despite his height. Xio crosses her legs, very intentionally letting her dress ride up as she turns to face him, blatantly looking him up and down. "What's your name, cutie?" It's said with a giggle, wanting to embarrass him a little more. If she's lucky maybe she can even start winding him up, see if only his ears turn pink so easily.

MC: Catan?
Satan: It's Satan. Is there something you need?
MC: What do I do with this?
Satan: *smiles* Oh. That's a diary.
MC: Diary? *looks at it* But it's just a small notebook with a fancy design on the cover. *frowns at him*
Satan: *chuckles* You don't understand. A diary can be anything. You can use a voice recorder, a journal, or like what you're holding right now to write your daily opinions or even your secrets that you can't tell others.
MC: ...
MC: But... Why would you write your secret in a notebook? I'm sure that if someone has a grudge against you, they can use your secret to manipulate you in their favor.
Satan: Is it just me or you're getting smarter everyday?
MC: *smiles proudly* Barbatos has taught me to read and Dia has been reading me historical politics before going to bed.
Satan: *laughs awkwardly* I'm a fan of books, but...
Satan: Why historical politics?
MC: I don't know myself though, but it makes me sleepy in no time.
Satan: ...
Satan: *laughs*
Diavolo: *enters their study* MC?
MC: *pouts* What is it? This is the 4th time you called.
Diavolo: I think I'm showing signs of Betrayal Syndrome again.
MC: !!!
MC: *angry frowns* Didn't I tell you not to get jealous?!
Diavolo: But you skipped eating breakfast and lunch with me just to spend some time with Satan. *sad frowns*
Satan: ...
Satan: Lord Diavolo, I'm not going to steal your child.
Diavolo: *his expression changes* How can you assure me that you won't?
Satan: ...
MC: *runs to hug him* *looks at Satan* Bye-bye, Catan! See you next week! *waves their hand*
Satan: *waves his hand back, smiling*
Diavolo: *still giving Satan a warning glare*
MC: *hits his arm* I said stop that!
Diavolo: Ow!
Satan: Ah! By the way, MC! Please think about starting to write your own diary. I'm sure you will enjoy it.
MC: Nah. I have no secrets to hide. And I'm sure I will be telling them to Dia.
MC: ...
MC: *looks at Diavolo* You're my diary?
Diavolo: *feels guilty somehow* No?

Since you got asked about the women character HCs, thought i would ask: do you have some for the men as well? Your ideas are amazing!
awww thank you so much!!! ;o; ;u; I really like trying to feel out character traits that could fit aksjdfhsjakdf (I did a few here for the guys awhile back too, if you’re interested!)
Arish
I always assume Arish was born and raised in NYC. He knows the city very very well.
Arish cannot lie to his friends to save his life. He’s great at bluffing in poker, or lying for the sake of a harmless joke, but otherwise? No good at it. This becomes a problem when he tries to hide or ignore his own emotional turmoil, because if you try and call him out on it, he’ll get irritable until he finally folds and admits that he isn’t feeling great, he just didn’t want to bother anyone. His usual go-to solution to dealing with his own emotional problems is to not deal with them and instead pour himself into helping others.
When he gets very upset/angry with someone (which is difficult), he gets quiet, calm, and stops cussing altogether.
He always speaks his mind, but in a genuine way-- he’s polite without playing any of the social games, if that makes sense.
His apartment is always open for friends to visit, and he’s always happy to host people over.
Ahti
Not everyone in the Bureau has seen Ahti. He has a tendency to be seen most often by people who “need” him in one way or another-- either as a friend and support, or as someone to get them into shape when they’re acting poorly.
Langston
Langston likes playing board games a lot. If you invite him to a house party, he’ll probably bring Catan with him.
He’s trying to get a book of his poetry published! He’d prefer to make an album of it spoken, but he figures maybe self-publishing a book and then doing readings of it would be better.
If he was gone for a week, the Panopticon would struggle to run well.
That said, he’s probably not working as hard as he could-- he’s doing just enough, but feels discouraged because he doesn’t always feel valued or listened to, and he kinda just wants to get home to Alfred kjfhekjhsjfhkse
Somehow the coffee in the break room is always best when he makes it. No one can figure out why.
He pretty much dresses the same way he does at work on his off days, just dressed down a bit.
He used to be a part of an Alan Wake fan forum and moderated there, but the Bureau asked him to step down because of his ties to Investigations and Alan being linked to work material. He figures he dodged a bullet anyway, because the forums devolved into arguments of Alan’s character and whether he was alive or not very quickly.
Dylan
I like to imagine he’s good at like... diagram art? Architectural art? If he needs to draw something like schematics, especially something he’s come up with, he’s really talented at it.
Dylan zones out a lot, for a variety of reasons, but he used to as a kid a lot as well-- he just gets super lost in thought and it takes awhile for him to snap back into reality.
He didn’t want any of the Bureau scientists or psychologist or behavioral analysts to every get a good read on him, so he usually either hides his emotions really well or lets them devolve into anger, which feels powerful/defensive/offensive. Only issue now is that he has a hard time expressing himself to the people he trusts. He usually opts to try and show them through action or find a really blunt way to say it and then just. Bail from the situation.
He prefers wearing long sleeves and pants because it makes him feel safer, but he doesn’t like clothes that feel anything like the P6 outfit. Even in the summer you’ll probably find him wearing a light flannel-patterned shirt over a short sleeve one.
Grinds his teeth unconsciously a lot. Always ends up wondering why his jaw hurts so much and then realizes he needs to try and notice when he’s doing that and stop. He’s not sure when the habit developed.
Darling
Darling collects records! He has a really nice sound system and record player and a few platter packs of things he’s collected over the years. He hasn’t bought any recently though, and honestly doesn’t get home as much besides just to sleep there and have meals outside of the house. He’s spent a lot of nights sleeping in the Oldest House and racking up overtime till they forcibly kick him out.
He’s always been a bit of a sweater guy, but it’s something he leaned into as Head of Research and once they found Dylan. He figured, for the Head of Research part, that it would be his “brand” in his videos, and make him approachable and friendly. For Dylan, he hoped it would make the paranatural world a little less frightening and a little more comforting.
Dude can’t see far away. He actually doesn’t need reading glasses at all, but when he has his glasses off, he’ll have to squint to make out anything further than 6ft away.
I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s a New York native, but not to the city. Probably somewhere further upstate.
Trench
When Trench needs to get away and clear his head, he goes to a park and just. Sits on a bench and people-watches.
He’s incredibly witty and has a really dry sense of humor.
Being bound to the Ashtray Maze, sometimes he can will it to loop and let him walk through as long as he likes without being disturbed.
He doesn’t like using the Service Weapon and never has really liked using weapons in general, despite his military past. They’re a last resort tool for him, and he tries to use every avenue possible before he has to use a gun.
He used to have a stash of candy in his desk drawers that he’d quietly share with people visiting his office that he was close with or liked. Now, not so much. It fell away really quickly as he got sucked further and further into the Director role and he tried more and more to distance himself from the power.
He’s suspicious of the Board, but doesn’t want to poke the bear by trying to investigate them. He saw what happened to Northmoor and figures the best course of action is to simply leave them be-- if Darling finds something, he figures he’ll tell him.
He used to hold a couple records when it came to training, and it always made him smile a bit when Rangers would find out, try to beat them, and fail.
His guilty pleasure are those airport paperback novels you can get in giftshops with super stereotypical characters and plots and stuff. He loves them.

Kat x Jet story
After a few dates Jet gets scared about how much she likes Kat so she starts avoiding her. Jet decides to face her fears and shows up to Kat’s gym late at night and Jet apologizes. Jet follows her into the locker room shower and she proves to Kat how much she likes her (finger sex).
When faced with stress, the human body is faced with a decision: fight or flight. Since she was a kid, Jet would pick the latter. Someone at school making fun of her? Jet would slip away and hide in a bathroom stall. The wrong order at a restaurant? Jet would simply eat it, no complaints, even if it was disgusting.
Someone was so nice, it made Jet’s heart explode? She would avoid them.
She had three unanswered phone calls from Kat. Seven text messages, and four Instagram DMs, all from the last week. They weren’t pushy or angry, but concerned.
Are you ok? I owe you a game of Catan.
There’s this cool art exhibit downtown. Want to go?
Text me when you can, Jet. No worries.
Somehow the kind tone was worse than a disappointed one. Jet was being a child, but she couldn’t help it. Her brain just felt like a giant blue screen of death whenever she thought about meeting with Kat.
Three days before Jet started avoiding Kat, they had sex. To quote Lady Gaga: it was show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique. Kat was the perfect mix of intimate and sexy. In the middle of her fourth consecutive orgasm, a thought popped into Jet’s head: I never want her to leave.
It was like a balloon deflating. Jet immediately switched positions, pleasuring Kat, trying to push all thoughts out of her head.
But the thought was like a lantern in the dark. You can’t help but look, mesmerized by its light.
So that’s why Jet was avoiding Kat, not because she hated her, but because she liked her. It was too much, too fast. Jet didn’t know how to handle it.
Jet sat in front of her monitors at home, staring at Kat’s last text, from 35 minutes ago: Going to the gym. Remember when I said I’d teach you? Offer still stands lol
Despite not being able to reach Jet, Kat was still trying. Jet couldn’t comprehend that. Why would she keep offering to spend time with her? Any other person on the planet probably wouldn’t put up with this. Kat must like her a lot.
Before she knew what she was doing, Jet was on her bike, making her way to the boxing gym Kat attended.
It was so late at night, there was no one there. Jet peeked into the main ring, but it was empty. All the practice rooms were empty too, as well as both locker rooms.
Jet was about to admit defeat and go home, when she heard a clang of a locker shutting. She followed the noise to a small, private locker room. It was more like a dressing room in a theater.
In the middle of the room, on a small bench, sat Kat, clad only in a towel.
Jet gasped, ducking back into the hallway. “Sorry!”
“Jet?” Kat scrambled to her feet, still breathing hard from her workout. “What are you doing here?”
Jet pressed her back to the wall, looking away to give Kat some privacy. “I got your text. You said you were here.”
Kat appeared in front of Jet, still undressed. Her mouth was open in shock. “You actually came.” Her voice betrayed her disbelief.
Jet’s gaze went to her boots. She shifted her weight from foot to foot. “I’m sorry I’ve been avoiding you.”
“It’s alright.” Kat walked back to her bag, taking out another towel. She rubbed her scalp, leaving her hair sticking up.
“No, it’s not.” Jet followed her, moving closer. Her gaze still remained stubbornly on the floor. “It was immature of me. I should have just been honest.”
“Honest,” Kat repeated. Her tone went from happy to nervous in a flicker. “About?”
Jet took a long, slow breath. She forced herself to meet Kat’s eyes. “About how much I like you. I’m not used to that and I got scared.”
Kat’s already pink face flushed even darker. She broke into a grin. “Well, I’m happy you told me.” She took a step closer to Jet, reaching for her hand. “Because I like you a lot, too.”
Jet looked at Kat from under her lashes. “Forgive me?”
“You’re forgiven.” Kat leaned forward, but paused, her nose wrinkling. “I really want to kiss you right now, but I stink.”
Jet moved forward anyway, bridging the gap between them. She inhaled Kat’s scent, which, while strong, was still alluring. “I don’t care.”
She grabbed Kat’s jaw gently, tilting it down so she could kiss her. Kat’s hands moved to Jet’s waist, pressing their bodies together.
The kiss quickly became heated, Kat tearing off Jet’s leather jacket. Her mouth moved to Jet’s ear, whispering: “You know, the door locks.”
Heat flooded to Jet’s core at Kat’s suggestion. Her hands moved to the edge of Kat’s towel, her fingers brushing the skin of her thigh. “Well, I could use a shower too.”
They shared mischievous smiles. Kat quickly flipped the lock of the door. She helped Jet strip out of her clothes, then dropped her towel to the floor.
Just like the first time Jet saw her naked, her mouth went dry as she took in Kat’s perfect body. The faint glow of sweat only made her more beautiful.
It didn’t take long for them to get in the shower, barely letting it warm up before stepping under the water. It was one of those high tech rain head showerheads that came from the ceiling, hitting them both perfectly.
Jet’s tongue swiped into Kat’s mouth, making the other girl moan. Jet shivered in excitement, the thrill of making Kat happy. One of Jet’s hand was on Kat’s hip, the other cupping her breast. Her thumb ran over her nipple, pebbling under her touch.
Jet felt one of Kat’s hands moving up her thigh. Her hand shot out, catching her wrist. Kat looked at Jet, confused. “Are you okay?”
“Yes.” Jet rubbed the skin of her wrist. “But I want to make it up to you first.”
Kat shook her head, sending water splashing. “I told you, you were forgiven.”
“I know.” Jet ducked her head, dragging her teeth along Kat’s shoulder. “Please?”
“Like I’d pass on an orgasm,” Kat said, with an eye roll. She spread her legs, letting Jet’s hand move between them.
Thank God for Kat’s legs, strong from all her gym time. It allowed Jet to concentrate on Kat’s pleasure, not whether she was about to slip on the slippery tiles.
Jet rolled Kat’s clit between her thumb and forefinger. Kat gripped Jet’s shoulders tighter, allowing the pleasure to build in her body. Jet circled her clit, her other fingers rubbing the inside of her lower lips.
“Fuck, Jet,” Kat gasped, water pouring into her mouth.
The water mixed with Kat’s wetness, allowing Jet’s fingers to slide into her entrance. She began to thrust in and out of her, the tight angle making her arm ache. The pain was worth it for the sounds that spilled out of Kat’s mouth.
Her fingertips dragged along Kat’s front wall, touching it gently. Jet sank to her knees, pressing her face to Kat’s stomach.
Between the water and Kat, Jet couldn’t see anything, her tongue making contact with her pubic bone before finding it’s prize. Her tongue circled Kat’s clit, the girl above her letting out a loud moan.
Kat’s hands were in Jet’s soaked hair, weaving her fingers in the dark strands. She pushed the younger girl closer to her cunt, chasing the orgasm. It was so close, and when Jet’s mouth sucked down on her clit, it finally came.
Kat’s vision went white then black, almost losing her footing in the slick shower.
Jet got to her feet, her tongue licking up the water on Kat’s torso until she made it back to her lips. She kissed her again, more gentler.
“Double forgiven?” Jet murmured against Kat’s lips. Her wrist and knees were aching but it was worth it.
Kat smiled, moving Jet’s wet hair out of her face. “Double forgiven.”

Snowed In (Thor x Reader)
Here’s my entry to @firefly-in-darkness Winter Challenge!
Tumblr media
Summary: On a S.H.I.E.L.D. winter retreat, you and Thor get snowed in at a cabin together. It’s more alone time than the two of you have ever had together. Who knows how you will entertain each other...
Rating: 18+ (smut)
Word count: 3196
Tags: sex, mirror sex, squirting, orgasms, fingering, blowjob, smut, mild degradation
A/N: For Daisy’s winter writing challenge, using the prompt “Snowed in at a cabin”, and I chose Thor. I hope you enjoy! I sure did :P
“Dammit!” you muttered looking out the window of the cosy cabin and seeing the snow inches high and covering the ground outside in an eerie blanket. That must be thigh deep, maybe even up to your bottom. You shivered at the thought and turned to the large empty cabin. This was meant to be a trip away with the Avengers and some of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who had been involved in some of the year’s activities. Now it looked like it wasn’t going to be particularly lively. Everyone had gone out skiing earlier in the day, but there was no way you were going to join them. You couldn’t skateboard, you couldn’t surf, hell, you couldn’t even roller skate. As your dad always said “you have the balance of a clumsy child” and he definitely wasn’t lying. You heard a crash upstairs. Oh great, Thor had finally woken up, apparently Gods weren’t immune to the ‘man flu’, and he had spent the day moping in bed. He came down the stairs, stomping heavily on each step.
“Is anyone here?!” he croaked out.
“Yes, I’m here, everyone else went skiing.”
“Oh, well when are they coming back?” he asked, looking over to you softly. You crossed your arms and swallowed, unsure how he would take the news that you were probably going to be alone and stuck in the cabin at least overnight, if not longer.
“Um, I guess you haven’t looked out the window, huh?” you laughed nervously. Thor frowned at you and stalked across the room towards you, his face up against the window.
“What? Just some light snow.” He looked back at you. You chuckled, forgetting how oblivious he could be. If he thought this was light then you wondered what snowfall on Asgard was like. “They can get back, I’ll just clear a path.” He stomped over to the front door of the cabin, pulling open the door. A wall of white blocked up to where the door handle had been, a small imprint in the snow. Thor moved forward into the snow.
“Thor! Stop, you’ll freeze!” Surely he couldn’t be this desperate to not be alone with you. He shuffled into the snow and it came crashing down into the lodge behind him. “Wait, you’re getting snow in here!” He stopped, looking over his shoulder to see the mess.
“AA, AA, ACHOOO!” he roared, echoing into the silence outside. Rolling your eyes you walked over to him, grabbing his arm and trying to drag him back inside. He looked down at you pulling at his arm, clearly perplexed that you thought you could move him, the mighty Thor. “Okay, okay, fine.” He conceded and turned inside, traipsing snow through the doorway.
“I think you’d better get out of those wet trousers,” you said, looking down at his now soggy legs. As you looked back up to his face, eyes raking across his body, lapping him up, you realised what you’d just said. His devilish grin and raised eyebrow made you blush furiously.
“Oh really, well, Y/N, I didn’t think you were interested in me…” he goaded.
“No, that’s not what I meant, I am, I mean, I’m, you’re…” you stammered over your words and walked away from him, cheeks burning and tripping over nothing on your way.
“Y/N…” he called. You turned to him and screamed, immediately spinning back. He was stood there in his underwear, fuck, you were going to struggle getting that out of your head, and your stomach filled with butterflies.
He laughed loudly, and snuck his way back upstairs, leaving you stood blushing with your eyes covered. He returned after a minute, seeing you in the same position as before. You hadn’t noticed he was gone, too wrapped up in your own head, thinking about his thick thighs, and the shape of his cock through his underwear.
“Y/N,” Thor said softly.
“I’m not turning around until you put something on.”
He stepped close behind you, his warm musky smell adding to your distraction. Reaching around you his hands encircled your wrists and he pulled your hands away from your eyes. He spun you around, you were closer to the God than you ever had been and your heart was racing. You glanced down, seeing he had replaced the soaking joggers with checked red pyjama bottoms, and a woollen jumper. He chuckled at you.
“Checking me out again,” he grinned. You blushed again and tried to pull away from him, but your arms were still in his grasp. He released you, and you took a seat on the couch. To your surprise he came and sat near you, despite the huge space. “So what are we going to do. Stuck here, surely there’s nothing exciting. I’m bored.” Thor had gone from sexy, strong, and desirable, to bored child within a matter of seconds. You realised that being stuck here in a small cabin, on a different world, he had no idea what to do. Being surrounded by servants and entertainers and life, and now action and strategy, he had not stopped. He’d never had to just be, and find something less… loud to occupy his attention.
“Well, we could put a Christmas movie on, or play a board game.”
“A bored game? I just said I was bored, I don’t want to play a game which would make me more bored.” You giggled at his naivety.
“No, a game, it’s a game on a board. Have you never played?” He shook his head, and you got up, opening the cupboard under the television and looked at the selection of games. All the classics were there as you’d expect, Catan, Cluedo, Scrabble, Frustration. No Monopoly, which was probably for the best, you could just imagine the arguments if you played that. Steve would be buried in the rule book, Thor would try and claim everything, Natasha would be winning without people noticing, and someone would definitely flip the board and rage quit.
You pulled out Cluedo, your childhood favourite. Sitting cross legged on the other side of the settle, Thor watched as you shuffled the cards and set up the game. You explained the rules, his face fixed in a frown.
“So you play games where someone has been murdered?” he asked.
“Well yeah, the fun is in solving the murder. And beating the other player of course.”
***
“I WIN! Right? I solved it, it was Colonel Mustard, with the rope in the kitchen!” Thor’s face was lit up.
“Take a look, see if you were right.” You had someone else as the murderer that you were convinced by, but maybe you were wrong. He reached for the solution and pulled the cards out slowly. He grunted and threw the cards down, standing up abruptly.
“This game, I don’t like it.”
“Not Colonel Mustard?” you grinned.
“No. Hey! How did you know, you cheated!” he loomed over you.
Laughing at him, you shook your head. “No, I didn’t cheat.”
“You’re lying! Unless there’s some sort of witchcraft in this?” he picked through the cards again.
“Wow, you sure are a sore loser,” you chuckled. He glared at you. “Well, I think it’s Mrs. Peacock, with the rope in the kitchen.” His eyes snapped up to you, shock echoing through his face. “I’m right, huh?” you laughed at him and began to pack up the game.
“I don’t want to play a board game,” he sulked back into his seat. You put the box away, and sat next to him, his face in a pout. “When are they gonna get back?” He stood up and stared out the window, the snow still coming down.
“I don’t know, maybe tomorrow.” He turned to look at you, features firm and frowning slightly. “Come on, you enjoyed the board game, is it really so bad being stuck here?”
“Yes, there’s not enough space. I’m bored,” his comments were starting to rile you. “There’s nothing to do.”
“I see, you don’t want to be stuck here with just me, I’m boring huh. Fine, I’ll go to my room.”
“No. Y/N, that’s not what I meant.” The rest of his protest went unheard by you as you stalked upstairs in a dramatic huff. You didn’t really know why his comments were bothering you, you just wanted to be liked by him you supposed. There really wasn’t any need to be mad or upset, but you were a bit annoyed that he kept moaning about being bored. You reached your room and slammed the door behind you, hearing Thor’s heavy footsteps on the stairs. Maybe you just needed a warm bath to relax you a little, and you padded into the bathroom and began to run your bath, dumping about a quarter of the bottle of lavender bubble bath in. Excessive, but oh well, you needed to unwind. You stripped off, before realising you’d left your towel at the bottom of your bed. Walking through to the bedroom in just your bra and panties, you weren’t expecting Thor to be stood there. You yelped and grabbed your towel, covering yourself.
“What the hell are you doing?” you shouted at him.
“Y/N, I’m sorry,” he turned away slightly, allowing you to cover yourself properly, “I just, I, I do want to be stuck here with just you. I mean, I’ve enjoyed being here with you.” Why was he stumbling over his words, you hadn’t seen him like this before.
“Oh, well, I’ve uh, me too. I’m going for a bath,” you looked at him, still a little angry and turned towards the bathroom. You padded over to the bathtub and bent over to test the water, and turned off the taps. Thor moaned quietly behind you, and you looked up. His eyes were fixed on your ass, which had been exposed when you’d bent down.
“Y/N, you don’t know what you’ve done to me, today has been claustrophobic, trapped in the cabin with you, not being able to distract myself from you or avoid you. Seeing you check me out, seeing you blushing, watching you concentrate on the game. Fuck, Y/N, you’ve been driving me wild.” He stepped towards you, and your heart was racing. Was he saying what you thought he was? He towered over you, stroking your hair, and moving to tilt your head to him. He moved slowly, cautiously to your lips.
You moaned into him as he filled your senses, that musky smell infiltrating your nose and breath, his warm lips and scratchy beard kissing at your lips desperately, his tongue pushing into you. His hand reached around you and ripped the towel away from you, leaving you in your underwear again. You whimpered between his lips and his hands grasped at you desperately. He picked you up and you wrapped your legs around him, your hands reaching into his hair. Feeling his muscles under his jumper, and the strength of his arms around you was quickly causing the heat between your legs to become more and more uncomfortable. He carried you through to your bedroom, crashing against the door on your way. He pinned you against the door, running his hands up your body, and pulling at your bra. It fell away from you and to the floor, quickly being replaced by Thor’s hands. Kissing down your neck, his mouth fixed around your nipple and he pulled on it, nibbling a little. You mewled as his teeth made contact, and his fingers pinched at your other nipple. Fuck. He grabbed your waist again, and carried you the rest of the way to your bed, throwing you down on it.
Pulling the jumper over his head, he revealed his rippling muscles. Your mouth dropped open, entranced by his incredible abs and biceps, mind racing with the different ways he could ruin you. He smirked as you watching him, and climbed on to you, taking your lips onto his. You leaned backwards and he ran his hand up your arm, entwining his fingers in yours and pushing your hand firmly into the bed. His hips ground into you, rubbing the sensitive part between your legs. You needed more, you needed him inside you. Reaching down between you, you cupped and stroked his length.
Thor growled, “eager to have me are you?” You nodded and bit down on your lip. He pulled away from you, and chuckled at the lust and pain at the sudden loss of him in your eyes. He paused for a moment, looking at you hungrily, his eyes gazing down your body. With his finger, he gently stroked your slit through your underwear.
“Soaked for me already?” You whimpered, blushing that your body had given away your need. Bucking your hips forward you tried to get more friction, to get his finger on your clit, but he pulled away and spanked you softly. You let out a moan and threw your head back. He was so frustrating. The smirk on his lips only made you more annoyed, and pouting you sat up, reaching forward to pull his boxers off. His hard cock sprung free; you had no idea how you were going to be able to take him. You moved to kneel in front of him. Wrapping your hand around him, you worked him into your mouth, barely even halfway down his length you could feel him at the back of your throat. The thought of what he was going to do to your pussy caused you to whimper around him, tasting his salty precum on your tongue.
His hands had been stroking through your hair, and pawing at your breasts while you sucked him, the wetness between your legs, still soaking through your panties. Without warning he pulled you off him flipping you over onto your front. Grabbing your hips he pulled you to your knees, and ripped off your underwear, leaving them torn and flung across the room. You were exposed and almost dripping in front of him. He slid his fingers between your lips instantly coated in your juices, and slid one thick finger inside you. He stilled.
“Please, Thor, I need more,” you moaned and rocked into his finger, trying to build friction, desperate for an orgasm.
“Mm, but watching you fuck yourself on my finger is really something. Maybe I’ll let you have another.” A second finger pushed at your entrance. You couldn’t help but continue to fuck yourself on him, getting yourself closer to a release. But too soon, he slipped his fingers out of you. You whined at the sudden emptiness, and his hands reached around you, lifting you up, your back flush to his hard chest, feeling his cock tease you. He walked over to the mirror in the corner of the room, and placed you down.
“Back on your knees baby, I want to watch you come undone on my cock.” You obeyed him instantly, your self-consciousness overcome by the desperation to come. He pushed your back down until your nipples brushed the carpet and nudged your legs open. The tip of his cock nudged at your entrance, sliding in gently. You clenched around him, your body acclimatising to the sudden fullness. With one hand on your hip, the other reached forward, twisting your hair around it. He thrust into you, harder, hitting your cervix, and set a maddening pace. Within a minute of him fucking you, you screamed around him, and seeing him fucking you in the mirror, lustful delight across his face, the coil inside you snapped. He moaned gruffly, your body shaking at the intensity of your orgasm.
He pulled back on your shoulders, holding you pressed against him. You leaned your head back into his chest, your boobs sticking out, as your back arched, still impaled on his cock.
“Look in the mirror. Look at yourself,” he whispered in your ear, and you made eye contact with him in you reflection. “I said, look at yourself. Look at the wetness between your legs, and the way my cock looks inside you. Look at the way your cheeks are flushed, and your eyes, the eyes of a woman who cannot get enough of me. Look at my hand pulling on your nipple.” Another orgasm was building as he whispered next to you. His cock rammed into you, hitting your sweet spot over and over. He kissed your neck, his hand still rubbing at your nipple, whilst his other that pinned you to him began to bruise you. Without warning your second orgasm hit, and you leaked over his cock, wetness trickling down your legs as you screamed around him. He didn’t pause this time, continuing to fuck you, biting on your shoulder now. He moaned in your ear, grunting as you felt him spill inside you.
“Fuck, Y/N, you are incredible.” He kissed your shoulder again, slowly pulling away, both of you wincing at the sensitivity. Thor stood up behind you, and gently lifted you to your feet. He swept you up, pausing to grab your towel, and carried you to the bathroom.
“Let’s have a bath, baby.” He kissed your lips and you smiled, still swimming in the high of your orgasm. He placed you down, and climbed into the bath, not letting go of your hand, he helped you balance and step into the tub. You settled into his arms, and spent time wrapped up together, soaking in the hot water until it began to cool.
You heard footsteps and voices outside your door, shit, how did the others get in? Panicking you jumped out of the bath, quickly wrapping your towel around you.
“Y/N! Thor! Where are you?” Tony’s voice echoed through your door. Bloody Stark, you knew he’d have found a way to get back, the hazard of being surrounded by geniuses and super heroes. You walked across the room to your door opening it slightly.
“Sorry, I was in the bath.” Tony smiled, noticing the red mark on your shoulder where Thor had bitten you, and looking over you seeing the messy bed covers and your underwear strewn across the room, a grin spread over his face. “What’s happened here, Y/N? Was there a fight? Have you seen Thor?” Tony pushed past you, looking around the room.
“Umm no, everything’s fine, are you sure he isn’t um, in bed still?” You lied, your face beet red. An almighty splash came from behind you, and Thor walked into the room, dripping wet and butt naked.
“What do you want Tony? I was enjoying a nice bath, is there an emergency?” Now it was Tony’s turn to blush, eyeing the muscled God before looking down to you, eyebrows raised.
“No, I’m fine, just checking you’re okay,” and he skipped out of your room, grinning like a child.
“What did you do that for?! Now everyone is gonna know what happened?” You turned to face Thor, pouting at him.
Thor grinned and kissed you deeply, pulling you into his arms. “Well they’re going to hear you screaming my name again at some point, sweetheart.”

Obey Me: Adventures of Catan
An Obey Me AU story
This is a story about a little cat demon named Catan. He will be learning about over coming problems and meet new friends throughout his adventures.
Warnings: falling books
___________________________________________
Chapter 1: How it all began
It all started when Satan asked Lucifer to have a pet. Since Levithan had a pet of his own. Satan loves cats he adores them which made him want a pet cat for his own. Lucifer agreed to him getting a pet cat. Although, even with one cat, Satan wasn't satisfied. 1 cat became 2 cats. Then 3 then 20 then 90. Soon the whole house the covered with cats. There were many kinds of cats roaming around causing chaos wherever they went.
They were at every room, not leaving one corner untouched. It soon became too unbearable. Cats were on top of the fridge even in the fridge, Beel almost ate one. They started scratching on couches and shirts which were Mammon's expensive shirts. They had trampled and drop special limited Ruri-chan figures which Levi had kept in perfect condition. They disturbed Asmo while he was putting on makeup and layed on top of Belphegor while he was napping. They were a total disasters nd if that wasn't hard enough, they messed up papers in Lucifer's room. Lucifer had enough of all this mess which made him ban Satan from ever getting a cat ever again.
Soon after many cleaning and getting rid of the cats, Satan stand there getting angry that all of his cute kitty cats where gone. He knew he went over board with the cats but he thought that banning him from ever getting a cat was too much. After all of the cats were gone, he left to his room trying to control his anger. All he wanted was a cat, is that so hard to ask. Even if he learned his lesson, he won't ever get a cat ever again. He will try is best and win the trust of getting a cat, and so he did.
Cleaning his room, doing the dishes, feeding Henry, even having to force himself into being nice to Lucifer. He reads many books about wining the trust of others. Soon he will use that knowledge to gain trust to Lucifer and to getting a cat he wanted. All he wanted was cat and no one will stop him. Even with the many attempts of him acting responsible Lucifer still did not let Satan have a cat. He tried again and failed, one more time and failed. Everytime he tries he gets angry, everytime he fails he gets furious. Levi gets to have a pet.
"He gets to take a large snake then loses it, but gets a second try?! How is that fair"
He had to stay calm before he breaks anything in his room. He tries to think about cats of course it will make him calm, he thinks. It doesn't work since he is reminded of him getting banned from getting any cats. He can't control his anger for so long and starts to stomp on the ground. A book fell while Satan was stomping and hit him on the head. He quickly saw the book that landed on him and saw that the book opened to a picture of a cute yellowish cat. It had beautiful orange yellow eyes. He picked up the book and glanced at the page. He will always adore cats forever, they are the most beautiful creatures. He adores cats he will always cherish them. They are wonderful, he loves them. He loves cat. Suddenly out of no where a small little person was right in front of him.
It looked around and until it saw Satan. It was very scared, and when Satan wanted to get a closer look it poofed into a small cat and ran away. Startled, Satan tried to catch the little cat. He ran out his room to where it left off.

I don’t know if you are doing prompts but I have an idea of a jealous aster because someone is flirting with Ellie! I love your work btw! You word everything so well!
Dear Anon, I am so sorry it took me so long to get to this, it’s been a very long month that’s kind of put me in a bad place! I am slowly pulling myself out of it though, and trying to get caught up with prompts, so I present to you... the fic that you wanted! (Hopefully!)

"I hate her...” A low growl escapes Aster Flores’ throat as she watches Ellie Chu talk to what Aster has now dubbed as her very worst enemy. Her eyes narrow to slits as she stares the look of true displeasure at her.
If looks could kill, this girl would be dead.
Aster is taking angry drinks of her Smirnoff Ice cooler, downing the whole thing less than two minutes after Paul handed it to her. Each sip is punctuated with an angry glare, and sometimes a grouchy grumble.
Paul watches her with concern, pulling the bottle out of her hands seconds too late. He sets it down beside him on the coffee table, and then opens his mouth in protest as she reaches across for his beer and steals it away. He closes his mouth in a sign that he’s given up.
And then she practically drinks his beer in a minute as well. Paul finally pulls it away from her, a sign that she might need a Munsky intervention. “Okay, who?”
Aster turns to glare at him, a grimace on her face at realizing that he stole her beer. She fixes him an obvious look before turning back to Ellie and pointing.
“That beanie-wearing, Settlers of Catan-playing, ‘Oh I just love your nails, Ellie Chu!’ wannabe witch...”
“Do you mean Heather?” Paul stares in amusement.
“Yes!” Aster pouts, stealing her beer back from him and finishing it. “She’s trying to steal my girlfriend!”
Paul pauses pensively for a moment, before pausing and taking his empty bottle back with a shake of his head. “And does Ellie know she’s your girlfriend?”
“Of course!” Aster pauses, Paul fixing her a knowing look. “Okay we may not have said it outloud.” He continues to stare as she shrinks even more against the look in his eyes. “We made out at a party once and she said she had fun and we should do it again.”
He smirks. “I thought so.”
“She said we should do it again! How does that not mean we’re something, at least?” Aster angry pouts.
Paul chuckles a little bit, shrugging his shoulders and lifting the bottle to his lips only to remember it’s empty now. With a grimace, he looks back at her. “You should go ask her to be your girlfriend, before Heather does.” He says with a tease.
Aster rolls her eyes, but then looks over at Ellie and Heather... the two are standing close to each other, and Heather is laughing at something Ellie said.
“Yeah, right.” She grumbles, before her eyes widen as Heather leans in to brush hair away from Ellie’s eyes.
“I’m going to go ask Ellie to be my girlfriend now!” She stammers, jumping up from the couch and starting off towards the two like she’s on a mission.
Paul laughs. “Good luck!” He shouts before looking down at his empty beer bottle, and yells once more after her. “And make sure you get me another beer!”
She probably didn’t hear him, and he’s okay with that.

Aster interrupts Ellie and Heather just as they’re going from the topic of strategies in Catan to the other more difficult board games they’ve played.
“Aster! Hey!” Ellie lights up, her smile going from ear to ear as she shuffles over for Aster to join their conversation. “We were talking about starting a game of Catan! Are you in? Heather has all the expansions!”
Heather glares at Aster.
Aster glares at Heather.
Ellie remains oblivious.
“Well, I’ve never played actually.” Aster starts off, Heather immediately jumping in about how it’s fine they have a full table anyways, so Aster cuts her off quickly. “But I would love you to teach me, Ellie!”
Heather cuts in quickly. “It’s kind of a difficult game, it’s not for everyone, you might not like it.”
Aster is about to turn around to face Heather and say something, when Ellie jumps in for her. “Aster is top of our year, and brilliant! What are you talking about?”
Heather panics and tries to back track. “All I meant is that this game is more for history nerds, like us.”
“If my girlfriend isn’t allowed to play, I don’t want to.”
Heather balks at the word ‘girlfriend’ before shrugging her shoulders and turning away from the two of them, her interest clearly gone if Ellie is already taken.
“Your girlfriend?” Aster sputters, then sees the twinkle in Ellie’s eye, and immediately understands.
“What tipped you off?” She answers coolly, trying to slow her racing heart from hearing the words said.
“I saw you talking to Paul and glaring your hatred at us.” Ellie smirks, reaching her hand out to take Aster’s, squeezing it gently and rubbing her finger along the brunette’s knuckle. “You aren’t exactly subtle, Aster.”
Aster frowned. “I guess I’m not.”
“That’s okay.” Ellie smiled, turning to Aster and putting her hands on the other girls hips to draw her in closer. “It happens to be what I like about you.”
And then she drew Aster into her arms, pulling the girl so close that their lips had no choice but to press together. Aster froze for a moment, before curling her arms around Ellie’s shoulders and kissing her back.
Hard.
“So, you like me?” Aster finally asked, her breath a little shallow as she pulled back, lips bruised and swelling from the kiss. Her cheeks flush with heat.
“I mean... I did call you my girlfriend, remember?”
Aster blushes again, leaning in to kiss Ellie back just as feverishly. Her hands cupped Ellie’s cheeks and Ellie pressed their bodies together until you couldn’t tell where one stopped and the other started back again.
“Shit...” Aster gasped. “I owe Paul a replacement beer.”

Just Mix Up And Down
[ Trigger Warning - Self-Hatred, implied s**cid*l tendencies You're not perfect, and you're only one person. People care about you.
Reader Discretion Advised ]
Lucifer: And?
Here we go...
Annelie: And what?
Lucifer hands Annelie a cutting board.
Lucifer: You know what.
Annelie: No idea what you’re talking about.
Annelie starts cutting vegetables while Lucifer restrains a mandragora root.
Lucifer: Annelie, it’s not often that I see you genuinely angry.
Annelie: ...the memories I have of Lizzy aren’t good ones.
Annelie stops her knife.
Annelie: Honestly, this is kind of a nightmare for me. She says something off-the-cuff, and I’m reminded of the phonecalls, that asshole that called himself her father, h-her desire to show me what she did to herself...
Annelie starts shaking, her voice rising up and down.
Annelie: I get so angry, and then I hate myself for getting angry at her because I’m supposed to be her friend. I was always listening, for years I was listening, and she was in so much pain all the time. I wanted to help her. I wanted to, but everything I ever did only seemed to make it worse, and I just...
Tears spill from Annelie’s eyes.
Annelie: What was I supposed to do? I was her anchor, and I couldn’t even return the love she had for me. I couldn’t even help her. I was powerless!
Lucifer rushes over to hug her.
Annelie: DON’T TOUCH ME!
Lucifer flinches, and Satan, returning with fresh meat, stops in his tracks and drops it on the floor.
Annelie: I’m... I’m a foul person. I pretend, and I pretend and I pretend some more that I care, but I don’t. I pretend that I’m some kind of saint that wants to save people, but if I really cared about her, she would have felt better. She wouldn’t have been the one begging for my attention. If I’d tried a little harder, I could have held her in my arms and kissed her and told her that everything would be okay. I couldn’t let go of myself for just one second for her.
You fucking selfish bitch. You just wanted to get rid of her. Was it too much to handle for you? You think you’re such an exemplary human being when you’re the one that left her to die.
Satan: Annelie, I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about, but stop it. Lucifer’s close to breaking point.
Annelie jolts as she looks at Lucifer, who seems as if he’s going to cry. Satan’s demon form starts to come out.
Lucifer: ...I’m fine, Satan.
Satan: You’re clearly not. Neither of you are fine. I pretend to smile enough, so don’t treat me like an idiot. Annelie, there is no one in this goddamn house that thinks you’re a bad person, so stop crying before I or someone else kills that woman. If Lucifer starts crying in front of me, which I do not want to fucking see, you’d better make sure I don’t see her face in here again. I don’t care what her reasons are, because as far as I’m concerned, she’s an outsider and doesn’t belong here.
Annelie: Satan...
They... all get so angry for my sake. If something hurts me, they always come running. No matter what. But... wouldn’t I do the same? In the end, for them, I...
Annelie sniffles and walks over to the two boys and hugs them both as tightly as she can. Satan blushes.
Satan: Wait, woah, I just had my hands on raw meat—
Annelie: Oh, shut up.
Annelie kisses his cheek before she kisses the corners of Lucifer’s eyes.
Annelie: I’m sorry. I didn’t want to drag you into this mess. I’m just... It’s a lot for me. I don’t want to snap at her.
Satan: Then take your own advice and take a deep breath.
Annelie: Ass.
Annelie fluffs Satan’s hair, and he swats at her.
Annelie: I should start calling you Catan again. Haha.
Lucifer: Are you flirting with Satan again?
Annelie: No, you jealous idiot. Besides, when he talks about BDSM play, he scares the shit out of me.
Satan: Eh? I do?
Annelie: I mean, Lucifer’s into some rough stuff, but he doesn't do anything too hard. I mean, he’s never, y’know, choked me until I passed out or put me in a cage and degraded me to oblivion...
Lucifer: And why were you talking about Satan’s preferences?
Annelie: Ah, oh, we were reading Diabolic Lamb, and there’s a really abusive and horrifying relationship between one of the characters and their mother—
Lucifer: Stop, I read that one. Fine, I’ll give you a pass.
Satan: I might like some... more rough things sometimes, but you’re just as bad with that NSFW ASMR obsession.
Lucifer: You’re into what now?
Annelie: Uhhh...
Satan: She didn’t tell you about that? I’ll be damned.
Lucifer: Tell me about what? What’d she say to you, Satan?
Satan: Haha. Not telling.
Lucifer: Annelie, what is that?
Annelie: Not telling...?
Mostly because it already drives me crazy when he uses my voice kink against me.
Lucifer: Okay, Karasu, what the flying hell is “NSFW ASMR”?
Karasu OS: ASMR stands for “autonomous sensory meridian response.” This is a subjective experience which some humans feel when their ears are stimulated by certain sounds, often described as a tingling or electric sensation. NSFW stands for Not Safe For—
Lucifer: Annelie, we’re going to have a talk after dinner.
Annelie: Just a talk... right?
Satan: When is it ever just a talk with him?

Hey can I get a uhhhhhhh.... Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd for the headcanon meme?
[Ask Meme!]
DIMITRI ALEXANDRE BLAIDDYD
D I M _ T R _   A L E X _ N _ _ _  B _ _ _ _ _ Y_
D: How do they react to being flirted with?

…Oh boy.
Dimitri isn’t one to notice flirting easily. His expectations and perceptions of himself place a pretty significant filter on his ability to perceive it. So most of the time, he doesn’t react because he doesn’t recognize it.
If he’s faced with overt flirting, he panics. Someone else shouldn’t have to suffer admiring him when he can’t give the affection back because of other responsibilities (pre-skip) or when he does not deserve to have happiness that way (post-skip). Before the Battle of Garreg Mach, he would do his best to awkwardly but kindly dissuade the would-be suitor, would chase them off with his beastly attitude during the Post-skip era, and again fall back to tactically extracting himself from the situation after Gronder Field.
Despite this, though, if the person flirting with him is someone he admires? Someone he’s been drawn to in a similar way? He soaks up as much of their attention as he can while driving them away, then intentionally stews in his own pining and misery for months and calls it a noble act.
(Someone? Get this boy some HELP?)

I: On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do they love themselves?
Pre-skip, maybe around a 3-4. He’s proud of his steps towards vengeance and his hard work, if nothing else.
Post-skip, 0 or less. He doesn’t see himself as human, and he’s honestly courting death every day he breathes.
Post-war, this improves gradually until the number hovers around a 5. He’s never going to love himself, but there are other people who do, and he will never stop trying to make it up to them and pay the price for his actions. That’s as much as can be asked of him — as a human, not a beast — so there’s no longer a reason to loathe himself even if there are plenty of reasons for regret.
M: What is their favourite dessert?
Canonically, his childhood favorites are saghert and cream or Faerghus’ style of sweet bun, but he also loves anything with contrasting textures. He can’t taste, so any pleasure he can derive from food has to be from the way it feels.
Things with creamy insides and crunchy crusts, sweets that melt on his tongue, and food with odd temperatures are favored post-Gronder especially.
(In the world where he slowly recovers and begins to sense flavors once more, he’s easily overwhelmed by tastes. He can’t handle anything intense but can’t get enough of foods that provide two flavors at once. Mildly sweetened salt-caramel pastries, fruits and cheese together, things that allow him to enjoy multiple sensations at the same time.)
T: Where are they ticklish?
The back of his neck — not that anyone would get close enough to find out. He’s the person to reflexively injure if something sensitive gets prodded without warning. He’s not ticklish anywhere else though.
R: What are their hands like?

Dimitri’s hands are the least damaged part of his body.
They are calloused and scarred, but each scar has been allowed to heal, kept clean if not stitched closed. He must have functional hands in order to wield his lance, so even while rabid, he takes better care of them than the rest of his mortal shell.
They’re always ice cold, no matter what wraps or armor he dons.
Until his first year as king of Faergus is drawing to a close, he shakes unless there is a weapon closed between his fingers. A side effect of encroaching nerve damage, but it, like everything, heals a little.
They stay much the same, after that. Still scarred and still whole. Freezing, but free of tremors.
A: What are/were this character’s best subjects in school?
In a canon, Garreg Mach type setting, he excels in lance-work and leadership materials — public speaking, strategy, etc. pre-skip. Post-Gronder, he’s honed his swordplay, but he’s become shaky and doubtful in regard to his own strategy. It takes Byleth a solid two months to coach him into confidence in his own decisions.
In a modern AU, debate — he’s exceptionally persuasive when he wishes, though he hates having to present himself in such an aggressive and manipulative manner — and mathematics of a visual or practical nature like geometry and physics. (Neither of those, however, are his true academic love, classics. Blast his inability to write as well as he can speak.)
L: What is their favourite board game?
In a canon-flavor setting, Dimitri prefers chess. It’s a calm, thinking game that helps him focus. That, and he never can manage to beat Sylvain at cards.
In a modern AU, he would enjoy standard strategy games — Risk, Settlers of Catan, even Monopoly on occasion — and of course, chess as well.
E: How are they with children?

Is Dimitri good with kids? Yes. Does he realize he is good with kids? No.
He is rational and intelligent during the times he’s asked to babysit, but he’s also internally panicking, terrified of breaking the child, terrified of the fact that he’s a terrible role model, terrified that someone left a baby with a literal monster—
The kid is happy and having a good time, though, and even if he’s High Key Freaking Out, Dimitri probably ends up wrapped around the child’s finger. He’s a bit of a pushover.
X: What’s their most petty little secret?
He’s got two.
He would never admit it, but he lost a lot of respect for Felix over his treatment of Rodrigue. Disagreeing with your father is one thing. Being angry at your father is another thing. But the level of sheer disrespect displayed? Entirely different matter.
It doesn’t make Felix any less valuable to him, and Dimitri realizes he’s in part to blame for that divide, but it does put a slant on the way he sees the young Fraldarius heir.
The second is that he’s more than a little self conscious about his appearance post-Gronder. He’s not a vain man, but the mass of new scars — worthless scars, scars NOT gained for a friend — and the disheveled appearance and missing eye? It…can make him feel a little repulsive at times.
N: What do they usually eat for breakfast?
Whatever Dedue or Ashe or Mercedes or Byleth brings him, honestly. Food, again, doesn’t have much allure for him except to quell the gnawing in his stomach.
B: Do they have any allergies?
No. He used to get hay fever as a child, but he developed a resistance to such things during his wandering years.
Y: What is one question they’ve always wanted an answer to?
“Is it wrong for me to receive compassion? Am I allowed to embrace the love given to me?”

Hidden things
She's not atypical. Not like her brother, or Caleb, or Sam or Chloe. She doesn't have superhero like abilities, she's not special.
Well. Joan knows she's special, obviously, in the sense that she's always telling her patients that everyone is, atypical or not. But Joan isn't special.
Sometimes she catches glimpses, when Sam isn't paying attention. A moment shared over a glass of wine, curled up on a sofa with A Sound of Music. Blue eyes cast a sideways glance, and she catches the gentle smile on Sam's lips that her friend probably isn't even aware of. Joan's heart jolts in her chest, the fluttering in the pit of her stomach achingly familiar, though the memories are tinged with far too much betrayal to stay pleasant.
When Sam starts to notice her reluctance to spend any real time together, the soft hand on her shoulder almost burns. When she begins to think there might actually be something between them - the tender gazes feel too frequent, and there's no way that Sam can fall asleep ten minutes into the new Star Trek movie, red hair tickling Joan's cheek - she recites every poor decision, every mistake, every lie and betrayal of her own in the past eighteen months, as though that has the power to kill the ache that plagues her chest.
Chloe catches on quickly. She knows the moment Chloe can hear the itemized list of her failings, because she pretends she needs help wine shopping for their board game night, and drags her to the supermarket, leaving Sam in an apron in the kitchen, hair tied in a high ponytail, still fighting with the hand whisk.
"What on Earth are you doing?" She asks in between rows of bottles and tin cans full of cheap beer. Joan keeps her eyes on the shelf in front of her.
"What do you mean?" She replies. She doesn't trust herself to meet Chloe's eyes.
"I thought we were past all this. Not everything is your fault, you know. You must know that."
"Chloe, I can't always help my thoughts." Chloe scoffs.
"Of course I know that Joan. But I know the difference between a genuine thought that pops into existance out of nowhere, and actively punishing yourself. I've been listening to your thoughts for far longer than I should, remember?" Joan knows this is the wrong place for this conversation, someone could overhear them, but there's no way she can bring this back to Sam's house-
"Sam? This is...about Sam? What about her?" Joan wishes she had learned how to control her thoughts around Chloe by now, because she knows her brain is still so impossibly scrambed when it comes to the time traveller. She hears Chloe's intake of breath, and the exhale that sounds more like laughter.
"I don't know." Chloe says aloud, a grin in her voice. "Seems pretty clear cut to me. You like her, and you're afraid of what that might mean. You don't think you deserve love in any form, and you still aren't quite over everything that's passed between the two of you. You feel guilty." Joan exhales, and turns towards the telepath, excuses already on her tongue, but Chlor just shrugs. "Sorry. You're just so easy to hear now, I have to keep turning you down constantly."
"Well, I don't think- I mean, it isn't like- Yes. I suppose you're right." Joan replies, resigned. "I'm sorry Chloe. I never meant for you to have to deal with my - my everything." She hates that she can't be angry with Chloe, hates that she can't ignore feeling this way, hates that she can't quite get the nagging voice in her head to stop sounding so like her mother-
"Okay, that's quite enough of that." Chloe says decisively. A dark arm reaches forward and plucks a bottle of white from under Joan's gaze. "We're going to buy two bottles of this stuff, and the chocolate chips that Sam requested - god that guilty attraction thing you do when I say her name has got to stop - and we're going to finish baking cookies, play Settlers of Catan and have an honest to gods girls night in, or so help me I will psychoanalyze you in the middle of this supermarket."
Joan doesn't know how to respond to a Chloe that is more than prepared to tell her off like that, but she knows her pathetic guilt and apologies aren't going unnoticed, if the bar of very dark chocolate Chloe hands her in the car is anything to go by. She should have tried to make friends years ago.
"Probably, yeah." Chloe says with a laugh. "But you got me now. No self flagellation when I'm here, got it?" She can't fight her smile, nor keep the amusement out of her voice, and she's not entirely sure that she wants to.
"Got it."
That doesn't mean fighting the weeks of negative reinforcement is easy. Joan can't quite relax the way that she wants to - Sam will laugh, or shout excitedly, or place a hand on Joan's shoulder as she goes to refill her wine glass, and her heart will burst in her chest before her head can catch up with all the ways she has, and will continue to, disappoint her friend. Then she remembers Chloe, and frantically tries to focus on the game in front of her. Not exactly fighting the self loathing, but repression has always been a more immediate solution for Joan, she's self aware enough to know.
When Sam asks quietly if Joan can stay the night, she wishes for the first time that she has Chloe's ability. Not genuinely, she dreads to think of all the information she'd learn that she shouldn't, and doesn't, want to know. But she wishes she could tell Sam's motivations for wanting her there. And it's not like Chloe will give her anything.
"No, I won't." The brunette whispers when Sam disappears to the bathroom. "This dance the two of you do is none of my business, and I'm certainly not going to help you spy on each other."
"No, I'd never ask you to." She says, but she knows her thoughts are elsewhere, knows Chloe knows that she's said too much, because they don't talk about the elephant in the room for the rest of the night. Even when Sam asks her why she's distracted, Joan finds she doesn't have much she can say. She finishes a bottle of wine to herself that night, and falls asleep in Sam's spare room with hope in her heart and regret on her tongue.
Sam's touches become more frequent, linger longer. They spend more and more time one on one. Joan doesn't stop listing every reason why they could never work, but she develops counter arguments to herself. She draws up a pros and cons list, stored on the inside of the cereal cupboard with boxes of wheatabix and a loaf of bread - she never has people over so it's safe from prying eyes. She updates the list as time passes; Sam expressed genuine fear of relationships when Mark left, Darwin likes me almost as much as Sam, We cannot talk about the possibility of aliens, She called me babe in the office accidentally - that last one has her still blushing when she thinks about it a week later. Like everything she does, Joan takes to obsessing over this list; it's so balanced that every entry gets a score for weighting, and it's still fairly even. She wonders if Sam does something similar; Joan knows she's taking this too far, and she's still far more impulsive than Sam.
Or maybe Sam isn't interested. Joan tries not to think about that, ignores the heartache that feels more like resignation than true sadness, and focuses on the twice a week dinner at Sam's. It crosses her mind that they probably shouldn't spend quite so much time together, they've become such a feature in each others lives.
It isn't until Sam lends Joan a dress to go to a ball of sorts - an evening spent wining and dining with the people invested in the success of their branch of the AM - that something finally clicks in her mind. They're already going to the ball together; it seemed prudent given that Sam still rarely drives if she has the choice, but Joan knocks on her door five minutes late, a hastily decided upon bouquet of red carnations, lavender and irises in the center. Her palms sweat; she hates the pause before the impact of a decision, the uncertainty in the moment. She dries her hands on her black slacks. When Sam opens the door, her face splits open in wonder, and she leans forward to kiss Joan's cheek. It's all she can do to stay standing, a hot flush spreading across her cheeks. She hands the flowers to Sam, who accepts them with a warm smile.
"I'll have to find somewhere to put these before we go, come in!" Joan does. It takes her a minute to realise that Sam doesn't actually own a vase, and the thought has her heart racing. If she's never received flowers before, is she going to know what Joan means? Sam leaves the jug with the flowers on her coffee table, the blue in the middle the brightest colour in the room, and joins her in the hallway.
"Sorry about that." She says, almost breathless. "I suppose I'll have to get a vase, won't I?" She smiles up at Joan, before glancing away, cheeks pink.
"Yes, sorry, I didn't think- that is, I didn't know you wouldn't have one." Sam takes her arm as they leave the house.
"Not that I'm complaining, but what was that for?" Her heart in her throat, and her tongue made of lead, it takes her a second to form a reasonable answer.
"It felt like I should." She replies finally. The tip of her tongue burns with the weight behind her words, and she hopes Sam can tell.
The ball is good, Joan supposes. Outside of explaining a new research concept or two to the suits from DC, the pairs keeps to their own band of representatives and, mostly, to each other. Music drifts through the air like a warm breeze, and she's more than a little tipsy where she'd caught a glimpse of Ellie and prepared for a conversation, but the vice director keeps her distance.
"Have I told you how nice you look?" she asks quietly, her eyes still on the room at large.
"You have." Sam replies. "But I'm not going to tell you off if you want to again." She can hear the smile in Sam's voice, and it relaxes her.
"You look wonderful, Sam." It doesn't feel like enough to describe the dryness of her throat when she looks at Sam in the simple green and black dress. She wonders if they look like a couple.
"You look very nice too, Joan." Sam turns towards her, and lifts a hand to smooth out the open collar of her white shirt. "You should dress up more often."
"The suit isn't too much?" She asks, hand twisting into her trouser pockets. It had been sitting in her wardrobe, untouched since the last AM ball she attended, half a decade ago.
"Oh the contrary," Sam's voice lowers, like she's sharing a secret. "I think you look rather dashing." She winks a bright blue eye. Joan swears she's forgotten how to breathe. Sam's gaze is soft, and she looks at Joan like...
"Sam, I-"
Like Joan's her whole world.
But Sam silences her, and leads them out of the busy room, onto a balcony. They aren't alone, but it's significantly more private. Her gut twists, and her hands are once again slick with sweat, but Sam is smiling, and though she fidgets as much as Joan does, she doesn't flicker and she doesn't leave.
"How long have you known?" She asks instead. They lean against the marble rail that looks over the extensive hotel gardens, dotted with lanterns in flowerbeds and handing from trees.
"How long have you?" she counters. It's not meant to be an accusation, she doesn't blame Sam for not being able to do what she was too afraid of.
"After Mark-" Sam begins. Joan winces; she seems to recognize the poor beginning, and tries again. "When we started working together, everything got so comfortable so quickly. I didn't know how... I didn't want to rock the boat."
"No, me either." Joan admits. "I'm still not sure how far we should take this." Se feels Sam's gaze flicker for a moment from her eyes, sees the red head swallow thickly.
"Pretend." She says, playing with her fingertips. "Pretend for a second that we don't have a rocky history, that Mark never fit into the equation, that I was never your patient. Pretend that this is just you, and me, and whatever weird attraction has been sitting between us for months. How far would you take this?" It's the most she's ever heard Sam say without the threat of a trip hanging over her head, and Joan finds she doesn't have the capacity for lying right now. She reaches a hand to brush a red curl away from Sam's cheek, and runs her thumb across the soft skin at her neck.
"As far as I could." she whispers, afraid her voice will break and betray her at the last minute. Sam's eyes flicker down for a second to her lips. Her chest feels so full it hurts, but there are no more nerves, theres no guilt right now. Her thoughts are quiet. Joan lowers her head, and kisses Sam.
The night comes, several days later, where Joan is plagued with guilt once more. Her lungs fill with the feeling, she's sure she could drown in it, and be done with the never ending cycle of her thoughts. Instead of letting herself succumb to the tidal wave, Joan picks up her phone, and calls Sam. Because Sam is special enough to more than make up for Joan's inadequacy. And when her demons start on her for that, too - she shouldn't be depending on another person to fight them off, after all - she shrugs, makes them both another hot chocolate and they watch another film. They don't have to fight everything all at once; they have all the time in the world.

Old Man and Grumpy Cat
Here’s for you @ladystiltskin67! I hope you’re still continuing to feel better and that this gives you a couple good smiles <3
"Hey Dean?" Sam asked as he walked into the reading room. He sounded a little sheepish despite clearly trying very hard not to and Dean cringed as he waited for what came next. "I have to go on a trip with Cas and Jack for a couple of days, so uhh, Claire's going to be visiting while we're gone."
That was worse than Dean had been expecting.
"Babysitting, you mean." His voice sounds angry, he knows it, but he can't control it. He can't seem to get anything right these days. Forgets to turn the stove off when he's done cooking. Mixes the lights with the darks and turns all their white shirts dingy grey. Screams himself awake in the middle of the night because of his nightmares. Cries when he can't figure out what kind of coat he needs to wear for the weather.
Dean isn't upset Sam thinks he needs a guardian. He's upset Sam won't call it what it is and he's upset it's going to be Claire doing it. Claire is- Claire is- Well, she might as well be his daughter, and he's too young to already be needing her help like this. He could accept help from Donna or even Alex, but not Claire.
"If that's what you want to call it, Dean." There's fatigue and defeat in Sam's voice and Dean knows that sound. It means he's not having the conversation. He never has the conversation. The doorbell rings. "Anyway. That's her."
Dean should stand up from his chair to go greet Claire, but his legs don't obey the order and he stays firmly rooted to the wood of his seat. She's going to wonder why he's being so rude. She's going to worry if she did something to upset him. Claire always thinks she's the one who did something wrong.
"Hey, Dean."
He turns his head to see her standing in the entryway to the reading room, leaning against the frame. She's trying not to give him a once over, he can tell, but she's not succeeding. His recovery has gnawed him away until there's not much of him there. He lies in bed too much, eats too little, and the mere thought of exercise makes his muscles yawn with fatigue. The most exercise he ever gets is when Cas manages to convince him to come grocery shopping with him.
"Hi." He wants to say more but his brain clicks to a stop. She smiles awkwardly but comes closer to stand closer to him at his table anyway. Awkward has never scared Claire away.
"Will you show me where I'll be sleeping? I wanna put my bag down."
Dean's eyes drifted down the stairs to where Sam and Cas were pretending to read in order to give Dean space. Sam's eyes were avidly glued to his screen but Dean saw Cas's flit upwards towards them just briefly. "Um. I'm not sure."  He hopes the panic in his tight features is enough to clue Cas to come over before he has to confess the whole truth: that he still gets lost among the bunker halls.
Luckily, Cas does read his expression right and he strides into the room with purpose." I can show you Claire. Dean did a lot this morning, and he's pretty tired."
Claire's eyes flicker over to him uncertainly, but his slumped shoulders and weary face must tell her all she needs. With a nod, she turns back towards the angel. "Sure, thanks Cas.
~~~~
The first night is uncomfortable. Claire doesn't know him like this and she doesn't know what she's supposed to do with him. They watch movies in his den and laugh weakly at each other's bad jokes. Dean wonders how long Sam, Cas, and Jack will be gone.
Claire makes him scrambled eggs in the morning, with shredded cheese mixed in and a pile of buttered toast on the side. She tells him he's going to eat and then they're going to go on a walk. He doesn't have the presence of mind to formulate an argument nor is he brave enough to tell her that Cas and Sam don't push him this hard. He munches on his buttery toast while she chews her eggs. There's determination in her face and he wants to let her win.
His legs almost crumble beneath him as he descends the stairs after their walk but she sticks by his side and helps him into a chair.
"Jody needed help on the stairs a lot when she broke her leg." She mutters sheepishly, as though she needs a reason for knowing how to care for him.
Sweat on his forehead and neck cools as he sits and catches his breath. Not five minutes later she returns with a tall glass of water and a plate topped with a sliced apple and peanut butter for dipping.
"Eat." She says and he does. It's surprisingly easy letting her care for him, he decides. She nurtures without fanfare, provides without commanding. He wants to let her take care of him, because he can feel that she wants to do it for him. Family isn't about one person always caring for the others, he realizes in that moment as he takes a bite of peanut butter apple.
"Do you remember what you felt like, after Castiel left you?" It takes him a whole two minutes of silent apple eating to plan out the sentence, but it comes out all in the right order.
Claire looks at him in surprise, but a soft smile quickly lifts the corners of her mouth slightly. "I was young, but that's a hard thing to forget. Cas, uh, wasn't as kind back then. When he first had to get in, he literally told me I had to say 'yes' or I was going to die."
Dean raises his eyebrows in surprise at that. The Cas of old had certainly been ruthless, but using that tack on a kid still seemed a little brutal.
“I mean, he was right. I would have died if I hadn’t let him in. I was so mad when my dad took him back. I would have gladly kept him if it had meant my dad could live, but…”
She trails off and Dean watches the sadness take over her eyes while guilt squirms in his gut. Her words seem to confirm what he’s feared and his voice trembles as he asks.
“Are you angry at your dad, for saying ‘yes’?”
Claire looks at him with sympathy in her face. She knows what he’s thinking.
“They’re not angry at you, Dean.”
“But you just said that you-“
“They probably are angry, but not with you. Not really. This whole situation just…sucks. When my dad disappeared, of course I was angry at him, as much as a little kid can be. I had no way to know why he was gone. When I finally learned, a whole year later, it definitely helped ease some of that anger, but I was still hurt, you know?" Dean's not certain he really understands the distinction. To him, anger is just a form of hurt and therefore they're one and the same. He grimaces in confusion.
Claire purses her lips in thought before speaking again. "Think of it this way. When you found out Castiel had said 'yes' to Lucifer, were you mad at him?" Dean shakes his head. "But you were still upset, right? Because you'd lost him and he'd opened up a possibility to being lost forever. That must have been a little painful?"
He thinks about that time, almost three years ago now. Sam had been ready to say 'yes' to Lucifer and then Cas had done it instead. Losing him like that had been horrifying, but Dean had understood why he did it and never begrudged him for it.
"I get it." He said. He isn't sure how to word his next question. He hadn't ever planned on putting his feelings to voice, but he thinks he should, and so he tries. "But, if they're not angry with me, why are they treating me like being with me is so- so- so bad?"
"Do you remember how angry I was at Castiel when we met again all those years later?" Again, Dean nods. "Part of that was me just being angry at Castiel, but I wasn't really all that mad at him. But he was a completely different being using my dad's face. Having to see him- interact with him- was so painful. Every once in a while he'd show up and just for this split second, I would forget and think my dad was back, and then I would remember. I never got to bury my dad, or cremate him, or anything. I see his face everyday and have to remind myself it's not him in there."
The hurt in her voice is apparent in the way her breath wavers and pauses and suddenly Dean is struck by the enormity of Claire's heart. Despite the hurt and pain that he inadvertently caused her, Claire not only forgave Castiel but came to love him, all as he wears the body of the man he took from her. As he sits in awe of this realization he simultaneously fears the implication of her words.
"I'm not a different person, though, Claire. I'm still me. Just…" He flaps his arms up beside him before letting them land limply back in his lap with a soft thwup. "Not quite all here."
"Well, have you talked to them?"
Dean looks at her blankly. "About what?"
A massive groan of frustration bursts forth from her lips and it's so perfectly Claire that Dean thinks he can see the her that he knew a few years ago, before Jody took her in. Despite the serious subject, he chuckles a little, and it feels good, like warmth seeping through his chest.
"Anything, Dean! How you're feeling, what you need from them, what they need from you. Do you ever try to even do anything fun?"
He thinks about it and realizes the answer is pretty depressing. "We watch TV together. Sometimes Cas and I go on walks."
"Uh-uh. Not gonna cut it. Come on, we're going on an errand."
Dean looks up at her as she stands abruptly from the table. "Where we goin'?"
"To buy some games."
~~~~
Three hours later she helps him back down the bunker stairs with one hand on his arm and the other on a giant bag of board games. Some are classics that he remembers from trips to Bobby's, but others are completely foreign to him. They decide to play Monopoly that night, because it's simple and familiar and he's tired. The next day they play Clue, and the next, Claire teaches him Settlers of Catan. She smokes him but it doesn't matter.
On the fourth day, they're fighting through another game of Catan when they hear Cas, Sam, and Jack head down the steps. Dean is wrapped up in his biggest blanket against the bunker chill and chuckling at Claire's chagrinned frown at having lost a shot at some prime territory.
"Hey guys." Sam greets them as he reaches the bottom of the stairs. He looks grateful and vaguely confused.
"Hey, Sammy. Good trip?"
"Uh, yeah. It was good."
"What're you two playing?" Cas asks as he drifts over to wrap Dean's blanket tighter around his shoulders.
"A strategy game I bought you  guys. But Dean's smoking me, so we can play something else, if you all wanna join in."
"That sounds fun!" Jack answers with a smile. He and Claire still haven't had much chance to get to know one another, but they get along well. Part of Dean is sure Claire wishes she'd had the chance to have younger siblings sometimes.
"Let's play Apples to Apples." He chimes in. "We need more people for that one."
They spend the evening around the war table eating pizza and sharing tentative smiles. It's a good start.

Note
I would assume you're a big fan of AoS and Supergirl. But which character on each show is your fave and why?
You guessed right! :P Sorry for the delay, I wanted to find the time to answer this properly, this is just my stream of conscience though and doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface.
Great question! Ok, so my favs are definitely Daisy Johnson and Kara Zor-El Danvers, but I love pretty much all the characters on both shows. I recently did a post on Daisy’s birthday about my favorite scenes in season 1. A lot of those scenes are what started my love of her.
Both of these wonderful characters have been through so much of what the universe has to offer. They have suffered and suffered. Kara lost her whole world and Daisy never even found one to be part of. She got thrown from foster home to foster home, the protocol never allowing her to stay anywhere for even a year. Kara was an alien, hiding who she was, knowing that if she were revealed both her new family and herself would be in danger. Neither of them were ever accepted by the world, outcasts to their very souls.
They had a right to be angry, to rage, but you know what they did? They took those experiences and learned to love the world. They developed a sense of empathy beyond compare. Both of them love deeply, they love total strangers, they care about even their enemies. Do you realize how rare and precious that is?
Daisy found a way to understand Ward despite everything and she empathized with and tried to help Ruby. She became a Rising Tide hacktivist because it was her way of helping the underdog, helping the world become a better place. That was something, someway she was capable of influencing the world and she took it. When Coulson offered her a chance to make a bigger difference with SHIELD, she jumped on it. She learned what their purpose was and wholeheartedly worked to become a part of it. One of my favorite scenes in season 1 is when Daisy talks to Hannah. She has nothing in common with this lady. She doesn’t have the same beliefs, yet she forges a bond with her, finds a way to use her painful history to connect, and help comfort her.
Kara is unwilling to kill anyone, even the worst people imaginable.(inconsistency issues with the Martians and Non aside) She always, always tries to get through to the person before fighting them. She connects to them, tries to see the best in them. I will always love the scene in season 1 where she has no powers, but she still stops that robbery through her bravery and kindness. She sees each person in the city as a light, and whenever she helps someone, a little of that light becomes a part of her. She remembers the face of every single person she has saved; her super-heroism has absolutely nothing to do with pride, arrogance, or thinking that humans need saving, its just pure love.
Then there’s their overwhelming love for those clostest to them. They created their own families when they had no one to turn too, and they devoted themselves to them. Kara would do anything for any of the superfam. She gave up her powers entirely, for years to protect Alex. She gave up the one thing that she thought would make her feel more normal, and only changed that in order to save Alex. Daisy barely knew the team before she was willing to do anything for them, she gave up opportunities to fulfill her lifelong goal of finding her family. They both risk their life time and time again to protect them.
They are both so self-sacrificing and honestly self-depricating. Daisy gets told time and time again that death follows her. This idea haunts her so much. When HIVE happened, she wouldn’t allow herself to be comforted, the very idea of having hurt, and attempted to kill her family destroyed her, and she wouldn’t accept that it wasn’t her fault. She left the team, when she could have used the most help, because she wanted to protect them. She allows all the blame to fall on herself for so many things that are out of her control, and rarely places it on someone else. She was willing to sacrifice it all when she believed that she was the destroyer of worlds, to stay in a decimated future, to give up her powers she worked so hard to accept and control, to give up her life for everyone else. She doesn’t want to be the leader, even though she makes a brilliant one because sometimes she struggles to see and accept other peoples love and care for her. She denies the possibility of their trust because she doesn’t trust herself.
Kara suffers from survivers guilt. She feels the weight of millions of lives on her shoulders. She failed in her purpose of protecting and teaching Kal-El, and she feels that blame, even if not of that is her fault. She fell under the effects of Red-Kryptonite, and similar to Daisy, she hurt those she loved and tried to kill her sister. It didn’t matter that she wasn’t really the one to blame. She feels the blame for every injury or death around her. Kara puts so much pressure on herself to be perfect and feels like she’s weak if she isn’t. She couldn’t handle the idea of still suffering from her childhood trauma in “Triggers”, having claustrophobia was a sign that she had failed somewhere.
Their coping mechanisms are similar as well. Daisy hides behind humour, when she’s scared or unsure, she turns to sarcasm, to jokes. She holds her feelings in, bottles them up, and doesn’t allow others to really see how she’s truly feeling. This is both to protect herself and to protect the other person. She doesn’t want to become a burden, so she avoids her feelings and issues. Kara has an entire persona to hide behind. Kara Danvers is a happy, innocent girl. Kara hides behind that idea, even when she isn’t pretending to be a normal human, even when in the presence of family. She can laugh and smile even when she’s dying inside. She pushes the idea of weakness away, ultimately forcing herself into denial. Sometimes she is so good at pretending that everything is a-ok that she fools even those closest to her, sometimes they almost forget she’s an alien from a fallen world.
Not everything about them is so heavy. Daisy is always ready to be geeky with Fitzsimmons, watching Paranormal movies, or Doctor Who. She’s the biggest shipper of all the romances. She’s so amazingly clever, but I don’t think she always recognizes that, especially with the high school dropout thing always weighing on it. She may or may not be book smart, but she is definitely street smart, she picks apart and recognizes patterns really well. She has few possessions that she has kept through the years, but one thing that has always stayed with her is a hula girl. Daisy always falls for the broken guy, the one with issues that she can help, because she never stops being a hero, even in her romance. She lived in a van in an alley way for years, by choice. She loves Phil Coulson and Melinda May like parents, but she still loved her parents despite their many issues and flaws and wanted what was best for them. She has learned to accept her differences, because sometimes being different can mean making a difference.
Kara is an artist, she probably uses it in a therapeutic way and to capture her memories to preserve them, since she has no photographs. She adores food, and gorges herself on pizza and pot-stickers. Chocolate Pecan Pie is apparently the best in the galaxy according to her. N'sync is her favorite band and she uses phrases like golly gee adorably. She’s good a Settlers of Catan and connects with kids really well. She initiates game nights and gets really competitive. She’s a genius on Kryptonian levels who learned calculus at age four, but had to leave it behind when she came to earth. She doesn’t understand or like Earth history. She’s horrible at spelling in English, but writes for a living. She’s not genuinely clumsy and will never feel normal, except when she’s with her sister, because the Danvers sisters? They should come with a warning.

I went to EGLX and Toronto’s gaming community blew me away
Last month I went to EGLX, or the Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo, which happened from March 9 to 11 at the International Centre in Mississauga. On their website, they claim to be Canada’s largest video game expo and their mission is to bring people together to be “united by gaming.”
Unfortunately, due to schedule restrictions (I’m looking at you, school), I was only able to attend EGLX on Saturday and Sunday – both of which were completely different and awesome experiences.
Tumblr media
The four grand stages at EGLX for competitive games Hearthstone, Super Smash Bros. and a rotation of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, fighting games and Halo 5.
Saturday
On Saturday, I went alone to check out what EGLX had to offer, having never been there previously. Their website boosted highlights such as an indie games and virtual reality (VR) showcase, big name exhibitors and local artist corner, industry panels, competitive gaming, a cosplay lounge and even a nerf battle.
My first order of business was, of course, to take a picture with the mascot, Mr. Destructoid of game-focused media site Destructoid fame.
Tumblr media
Would it be appropriate to make a Mr. Roboto pun here?
Once I entered the main hall, I was met with a larger than life version of Settlers of Catan, where guests were free to jump in and play as long as there was a free spot available. I was super tempted to make that my first stop, but Catan can potentially take hours and there was still so much more to see!
Tumblr media
When I first arrived, the giant Catan board was currently open for play as the previous game had just ended, but I had to resist temptation!
Beyond the Catan booth, there were rows of VR games displayed. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to indulge in any of the games due to being a spectacled being, but that just means I need to remember to bring my contacts the next time there are VR booths involved at an event.
My favourite set up was one by VR Star Games for Furious Seas, a to be released pirate VR adventure that was displayed next to a palm tree, a realistic looking cannon and of course, a pile of treasure.
Tumblr media
I wonder if you can find One Piece in this game. Any anime fans amongst my readers?
What blew me away the most and what I ended up spending the most time on with my trip to EGLX was the indie games corner, which featured primarily student-made games from Sheridan College’s gaming program. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take any photos of the games themselves due to my excitement, but here’s a quick list of the ones I got to play and loved:
The Blobs Fight: The first game I tried was probably the most simple of all the games I was able to play, but also one of my favourite ones at EGLX! Developed by Skypyre Studios, the premise is exactly what you’d expect it to be: animated blobs fighting each other to the death. You can play up to eight (eight!!) customizable blobs at a time in different arenas, where you try to knock off pieces from other blobs until they become small enough to disappear so you can collect the pieces and become a mega blob or be the last one standing.
Tumblr media
Head Rush: It took me a while to get that the game was literally about trying to affect the emotions of someone’s brain in an arcade style, time-trial game where you go really fast (head… rush… get it? Just me? Okay). Once I understood the concept, the rest of the gameplay flowed easily to me, though I still found the first level quite hard! The music is quirky and fits super well with the game design and I really loved the choice of colours! Sort of reminds me of the final level of Starfox, but just the first part of it and includes less impending doom. It’s developed by Jellyware Games, which you should definitely give a follow to!
Tumblr media
Wanderfall: Developed by Grabby Thing Games, Wanderfall is a speed run sort of game – one where you glide smoothly along landscapes and jump across beautifully rendered ledges and hidden paths in order to collect as many crystals as you can. It was, unfortunately, also the game I struggled with the most because I’m definitely more of an “explore every nook and cranny” sort of gamer instead of a speed runner! Still, I enjoyed playing Wanderfall and did eventually play it again later on after they polished it up even more (though my friends laughed at me struggling to play it both times).
Tumblr media
Godsend: Godsend, created by Patchwork Games, is a game that I find myself being able to play for hours. You play as a shapeshifter who is able to “shift your soul into other creatures,” therefore using their powers to accomplish the objectives and beat the level. But only being able to play a couple of minutes and try out a few of the many abilities and creatures that you could become simply wasn’t enough time! The backgrounds were gorgeous and I was really intrigued with the puzzles presented in this platformer, so I will be coming back to play this game (which you can download on Itch.io) in the future! Shoutouts to Coley who dealt with me dying a million times the first time I played.
Tumblr media
Super Random Heroes and Bag Box: Both developed by OddBird Studios who has, since the writing of this blog, won both the pitch competition at EGLX as well as Best Game at Level Up Showcase, Super Random Heroes and Bag Box are two of their latest games after their flagship game, Arrow Heads (which I still need to play!), was released. Bag Box is a very simple two player game using just one controller – which is simply genius – where you try to knock out your rival in a boxing match and see who depletes the others’ health first. It’s very easy to pick up, has very clean and simple graphics and I definitely recommend giving it a download to play against a friend. I played against one of the developers and lost (I suspect some foul play) and I’m hoping for a rematch one day!
Tumblr media
Following OddBird’s distinct style of clean, colourful and vibrant characters and stories, Super Random Heroes is the newest game that they’re working on featuring an angry pedestrian who ended up with super hero powers that he didn’t want and is now on a mission to get rid of them. In addition to having super hero powers, one of the game mechanics also lets you stack and modify the powers that you have in order to keep your play through unique and exciting. It’s a great, crazy twist on the usual brand of super hero video games and I can’t wait to play the full version when it’s complete!
Tumblr media
Fossil Hunters: Lastly, let’s talk about Fossil Hunters by Reptoid Games. A fun solo or multiplayer game that has you playing quirky characters digging up bones and putting them back together while salamanders try to throw you off the platform, rocks fall down onto your party and you and your friends get separated by immovable boulders along the way. I actually kept running around the convention and coming back to this game multiple times, but every time I was there, it was preoccupied by other gamers who wanted in on the digging action. Once I got my hands on it, I loved it – I’m a huge sucker for a good puzzle game – and the art is so endearing! It’s currently out on Steam, but I’m waiting for that sweet Nintendo Switch release.

Sunday
Tumblr media
Surprise! Can you guess which one I am? (Hint: I'm the green one.)
Here’s a surprise if you’ve made it this far: I cosplay! This convention isn’t my first rodeo, but it is my first video game exclusive convention. I had such a fun day meeting friends new and old yesterday, but wanted to use Sunday as a way to de-stress and talk to other cosplayers that I knew who were going to EGLX, as well as drag a few of my own friends into cosplaying Nintendo characters with me. The Nintendo booth had fun with us.
Conclusion
Tumblr media
A vast majority of the exhibition hall occupied by the hum and lights of desktop computers running games such as Fortnite, PUBG, Rocket League, etc.
After doing some research, I was informed that this was EGLX’s second year running, but last year wasn’t their first. Apparently, EGLX premiered during 2016 with very little fanfare, so the organizers took the show backstage and polished it up so that it would receive the attention it deserved when it came back in 2018. That being said, the whole event was planned out and put together within about a month or so and while I had a great time there, there were a few things that I wondered about.
The schedule had a Nintendo event listed for Saturday that I spent a good 15 minutes looking for, but that no staff could tell me about.
While there were many excellent exhibitors displayed at the con, I wondered why some groups that I assumed would also be there, weren’t. Was it a matter of time or availability on both or part of the parties? Toronto Gaymers, one of the largest gaming groups in the city, as well as George Brown and other colleges with prominent game development programs seemed to be absent.
There was a thing? I’m not too sure. And I wonder if it was worth bringing up on the Twitter page.
The advertising for the event seemed very much for the general public, but the only ones who seemed to really use their time to the fullest or had a voice at the convention seemed to be those involved in the game industry.
The division of the space inside the exhibition hall was extremely varied. Competitive gaming had the largest space, with everything else having just enough in order to function by, but it usually ended up crowded.
Though there were a decent amount of cosplay guests, I noticed most cosplayers stuck to the cosplay lounge, which was a small square in the middle of the exhibition hall and was generally overcrowded. I wonder if it would have been better to combine the cosplay lounge with the board game/rest area that was set up next to the registration hall instead.
The website sometimes had different pages with different information on it, making it difficult to find the information you needed depending on what page you were on at the time.
Don’t get me wrong – I had a blast! And I’m so excited to go again next year. It was amazing to see some very big triple A game companies next to smaller studios and all the different ways that so many different people play games.
So, whether it is for competitive reasons, friends and family, solo, or even VR and board games – EGLX had a little bit of everything for everyone and I can’t wait to see what they have planned next year!
