oh, i just had the most evil idea: can you imagine tigerstar finding out that mosspelt had kits far too young in the stonefeather au? he'd absolutley weaponize it; everyone in camp knows that mosspelt is both furious and terrifyied for her daughter. i can see him taunting moss, telling her that she must be so proud feather's following in her pawsteps..

i don't like leaving asks in my inbox for too long, and it seems like this writing block won't just...blow over. i'm not forcing it.

The moment Owl saw the hulking stone behemoth enter the room, he took flight, eager to be out of the great troll’s reach. He alighted in a far crystal, a few feet above the great stone giant’s head and flared his wings with a hiss. The patterns upon them bore a faint glow, not unlike the green crystals that littered the throne and other chasms of the darklands. It was an instinctual thing to do on his part, something that all Tyto’s did when they felt threatened or frightened. But this was a troll, no, a Gumm-Gumm, and for a moment, Owl felt grateful to have his claws sheathed in metal for once.

Still, should he speak or should he fly? The beast had already spotted him, and the way back to the changeling gate had been lost amidst the other tunnels.

‘Best stay and wait,’ he thought, gazing down at the Gumm-Gumm chief. ‘See what the beast does before acting.’

"why aren't you doing anything?" shadepelt growls. "that's your daughter!"

"don't you think i know that?!" mosspelt looks like she wants to shout, but it comes out trembling. "she's not my only kit, shadepelt. and i---" mosspelt's mouth keeps moving, but no words come out. her paws are pressed to the ground, and her ears are folded towards the ground. "i can't," she gasps out.

shadepelt falters, because she wants to be angry that mosspelt doesn't care, but she knows that's not true. mosspelt would die for featherpaw without blinking. if she's not doing anything, it's because she thinks trying will make things worse.

"i'm sorry," shadepelt says. she sits next to mosspelt, beginning to groom her denmate. "i'm sorry."

"i haven't seen her," mosspelt says. "not since...not for a long time. but she's alive, and dawnpaw is alive and safe, and i'm terrified, shadepelt. i can't sleep, i can't eat. but there's nothing i can do."

“Indeed!” Owl hooted, grinning as he bobbed his head. “How are you, Trar? It’s been quite some time since I’ve come to visit!”

He paused and turned his head sideways until he was looking almost completely upside down at the troll. “Bless, you’ve seem to have grown in to your stone quite well! Much better than the last time I saw you.”

One could almost feel the approval that radiated from the tyto as he righted his head. “So how are your kith and kin? I hear Draal and Razorback have gotten themselves a whelp, and that new trolls have been adding themselves to the market. Quite exciting!”

Cue a slight head bob from the enthusiastic barn owl, who sported much better spirits than he did when he left for home before.

"Well, well!" Hooted a familiar voice as a tyto fluttered down onto a rock. "Look who's out and about! Nice to see you again!" Owl has since decided that he liked being in his feathered form and what better way to greet someone than as his favorite creature?

That was a voice which definitely caught him by surprise, but it was a welcomed surprise nonetheless! A rare find given recent events in this part of the world.

Owl started at the triumphant cry of his warlord and blanched behind his mask. 

“Wait, hold on now, let’s not get ahead of ourselves!” he cried, rushing to the stone warlord. “It hasn’t even been tried, and neither have you! This mask contains the purest primal forces of troll kind ever to be condensed into a single mask. If you’re not ready for it, this thing will turn even the most controlled warrior into a force of primal rage! And I don’t think you want to decimate your army before you even get a chance to use it.”

OC’s Flirting

Aegis Stonefeather (Tiefling Paladin/Wizard): 

Aegis is a very easy and dramatic flirt, he loves to be extremely overt about things just because . He is pretty free with his physical affection when he starts to trust you and will be an enormous tease. Eventually he’ll give you small touches just let you know he’s there, and always smiles in his crushes direction. They make him happy and it shows.

Bellamy Kaldwin (Aasimar Cleric/Bard):

Bell is an action flirt, he cannot ever get the words out right so he does actions instead such as but not limited to; purposely dropping things and picking them up in front of his crush, staring at lips, eyes etc., wistfully sighing, doing the above expression. He is also a tease when he trusts you, and is extremely, sickeningly sweet.

Margaux “Marie” Valais (Shadar-kai elf Monk):

Marie is....awkward to say the least, at least at first. She does little things and holds hands, makes her crush know they’re on her mind. Otherwise she’s just an absolute goofball and smiles easily around her crush.

Remis Stonefeather (Tiefling Bard/Warlock): 

Remis is a mix, he’s goofy and sweet but also a Stonefeather. He’s dramatic as hell sometimes but is a little more overtly romantic at first than his brother. He likes to give the Looks TM from across the room and tease his crush, but also sends them flowers from anonymous sources.

Minnowtail x Mousewhisker hypokits?

meet Stonefeather and Gartooth!

born in RiverClan, originally only known as Minnowtail's kits before, as older apprentices, being allowed to meet and know Mousewhisker as their father over in ThunderClan [I imagine they were born early TBC and become warriors shortly after forbidden relationships are allowed]

Stonefeather is much like his name sounds; tough on the outside, soft on the inside. He's very emotional, affectionate, and kind hidden behind this 'tough RiverClan warrior' appeal

Gartooth is analytical, calculating, and certain in everything she sets her mind to, even if it takes more than one try to accomplish. She is positive about what she wants out of life.

And the two of them are each other's best friend, both wanting to be proud warriors together and see the pride shimmer in the eyes of their mother and father

However..

Neither can agree on where that future takes place.

For Stonefeather, RiverClan will always be home - it's where he's most comfortable and nothing could change that.

For Gartooth, the call of ThunderClan tugs at her paws like some sort of whisper, telling her that's where she needs to be.
