OC’s Flirting

Aegis Stonefeather (Tiefling Paladin/Wizard): 

Aegis is a very easy and dramatic flirt, he loves to be extremely overt about things just because . He is pretty free with his physical affection when he starts to trust you and will be an enormous tease. Eventually he’ll give you small touches just let you know he’s there, and always smiles in his crushes direction. They make him happy and it shows.

Bellamy Kaldwin (Aasimar Cleric/Bard):

Bell is an action flirt, he cannot ever get the words out right so he does actions instead such as but not limited to; purposely dropping things and picking them up in front of his crush, staring at lips, eyes etc., wistfully sighing, doing the above expression. He is also a tease when he trusts you, and is extremely, sickeningly sweet.

Margaux “Marie” Valais (Shadar-kai elf Monk):

Marie is....awkward to say the least, at least at first. She does little things and holds hands, makes her crush know they’re on her mind. Otherwise she’s just an absolute goofball and smiles easily around her crush.

Remis Stonefeather (Tiefling Bard/Warlock): 

Remis is a mix, he’s goofy and sweet but also a Stonefeather. He’s dramatic as hell sometimes but is a little more overtly romantic at first than his brother. He likes to give the Looks TM from across the room and tease his crush, but also sends them flowers from anonymous sources.

Worry had settled in for far too long. Aegis had waited and waited, yet no word came from the connection nor from the other room. He could not enter because the corruption made his knees weak and his stomach sick. For a tiefling and a god he couldn’t handle much defilement.

Another ten minutes passed by with even more anxiety settling in. Where had Thrash gone? Why had they gone after this creature in the first place? Perhaps this is what it was like when he couldn’t feel Aegis through their connection. And the god made a mental note to never let that happen again.

Thankfully a gentle click of the door opening eased his fears and even more so when Thrash came through with an armload full of gold. And he was smiling. Gods, he was *smiling*. There were other voices, other people but Aegis didn’t care. He swept the merfolk up off his feet nearly and held him fast as he surged forward, kissing him with all the desperation he had felt earlier. All of it came to the forefront as Thrash responded in kind and he felt a gentle warmth surged through their connection. Sweet, radiant, Divines had Aegis been worried. He didn’t care who saw as his body gravitated even closer to Thrash’s, soaking in the affection despite the still present desperation.

He felt clean and whole with him there. Always.

Aegis’ eyes caught Thrash from across the tavern, watching the merman as he spoke absently to Janus at the bar; Thrash’s gaze held onto his lovers for quite a time and Aegis could tell that there was something on his mind, but he couldn’t quite discern what it was. They had been separated for quite a long time recently, as the others and Thrash had gone to the Boiling Expanse for a time, only now having just gotten back. It took most of Aegis’ willpower not to disengage from Janus and sweep across the room to claim his lovers lips right in front of everyone there. But perhaps that could wait until the others had returned to the Abbey from the tavern.

Of course it was not the case however, as the seconds dragged on into minutes the god felt a presence grow closer and a hand placed itself upon his cloaked shoulder. He glanced upwards and found Thrash standing behind him. There was a lull in conversation as Janus realized the merman had approached, but Aegis waved at her to continue, amused at how her thousand eyes would look back and forth between them as she spoke.

“…as I was saying -Remis believes that he has the werewolf population under control but-”

Thrash’s hand began to wander down Aegis’ spine, his backless robe allowing for more access; his cold fingers rubbed in circles pleasantly and the god felt his tail involuntarily twitch. He pretended to listen to Janus while leaning farther on the bar counter and watched her not notice as Thrash’s hand came to rest on his hip, breath daring to ghost across Aegis’ skin.

/You are trying to distract me/, the tiefling god finally murmured within his lovers mind.

/Doing a damn fine job of it too, considering you aren’t listening to a speck of what Janus is telling you. You were gone for a fortnight, Aegis, forgive me for indulging/

A pleased sound rumbled through Aegis chest as Thrash’s fingers went back to alight on his spine, and Janus gave him an odd look but kept talking. No other words needed to be exchanged between Aegis and Thrash however, as the merman bent down to place a kiss at the nape of his lovers exposed neck. Aegis’ own fingers reached downwards and held fast to the mermans hand, feeling the raised scar tissue between each finger as he clasped it.

He knew exactly what he needed to do.

He knew exactly what Thrash was asking of him.

I have so many npc’s who realize they’re stronger than they really are. Even just the four in our party:

Aegis found that he wasn’t really as worthless as he believed, that he had the courage and strength to be who he was, to do his best. And that didn’t mean when he failed that he was worthless, it had nothing to do with him. His trauma does not define him, it is something he survived and has made him stronger, even if it still aches in the back of his mind. He can get through it.

Marie finds that she has strength outside of her faith in Kelemvor. As much as she loves her practically adopted father she knows she can’t always rely on him because of the literal physical barriers between them. So often she’s on her own and she feels so helpess. But she’s not, she could punch Graz’zt into the stratosphere if she really wanted to. Marie has the strength to stand up to her mother; she has the strength to protect her family.

Remis has the strength to be open and honest with people, he just doesn’t know it yet. There may be judgement in the beginning, even fear; but that doesn’t mean they love him any less. He was grief stricken, injustice had been plaguging him since he was a child. And he would not let the gods get away with it. But he doesn’t need to keep everything bottled up. One day he will learn and finally smile again, genuinely. He has the strength to forgive himself.

Bellamy is beginning to realize he has the strength not to be terrified anymore. He can stand up to those who have harmed him and not be afraid of what comes afterwards, because it doesn’t matter anymore. They know what they’ve done and that’s what matters, they get to live with that fact. And he can let go. Even if he doesn’t directly get to say anything or kick their asses, he knows he doesn’t need to be afraid. And he can slowly let go of the pain of his past. Ghosts don’t need to linger when you’ve left them behind.

1, 2, and 18 for Aegis

1. Their voice

Aegis speaks firmly, elegantly, and -often- coldly to those he does not know well in normal circumstances. He comes across as unfeeling to some even when speaking because he is so blunt and his tone is extremely level. But to those he knows very well, they’ll hear his tone become warmer, he’ll slip into slang here and there. Either way he’s extremely lovely to listen to, his voice claim after all is Lee Pace as Thranduil from the Hobbit Movies.

2. Their smile

Depends on the person who he’s smiling at or around. Normally it’s small, just a smirk. But with his closest friends he shows all of his pointed teeth when he smiles and doesn’t dare hide it. His grin is wide and happy, carrying with it the warmth of the sun.

18. How they sleep

Normally, Aegis sleeps like shit. He suffers from night terrors -has since he was a child- as well as sleep paralysis if he’s particularly stressed out. Aegis vastly prefers to sleep with someone on the other side of him and his entire body wrapped around them. He’s a tiefling so he’s extremely warm all the time and usually doesn’t need too many blankets but he’ll sleep with as many as needed for his partner. It’s very comforting to him to be able to know someone is there in the dead of night and he’s not alone. Also extremely hard to sleep in certain positions because of his horns and later when he loses his arm, so he usually sleeps on his right side or on his stomach with his arms and tail around someone.

“If you love me as you say you do, make it so that I am at peace" Aegis breathed through gritted teeth, voice raised, “Tell me that I am not who they say I am! Some god of treachery meant to destroy this world and all that is in it!”

The force of the gods words stunned Thrash for a moment, and Aegis could see it written all across his face. Perhaps he had no reply to soothe the ache. It would not be the first time someone could not do it, Delilah had most likely been sent to her death after one of these conversations, so gods knew what would happen out of this one. Aegis bowed his head to glance back down at his hands, trembling with weakness, with the fear his lover would walk out of the room. However he felt the touch of clammy fingers laid over his and Aegis nearly knocked Thrash under the chin as he looked upwards once more. A hand raised upwards to brush away tears that had begun to spring from the gods bottomless eyes.

“You are Aegis Stonefeather, you are not that sick woman’s play thing. I fell in love with a man who has a kind heart and a generous soul. You are /nothing/ like what the legends say” Thrash finally replied, pressing his forehead flush against the gods.

In that moment Aegis knew the honesty was genuine, that his lover was speaking from the bottom of his heart; even if it didn’t do much to persuade him differently, the tiefling appreciated the answer. One of his own hands, still shaking slightly, reached up to trace along Thrash’s harsh jawline before gently tugging him forward. Their lips met softly, not even their teeth clacked together as a chaste kiss was shared between the two men. Aegis tried his hardest to convey the love and affection he had for Thrash in this small meeting, although he felt it fell quite short. The Commander was the first to part as Aegis halted their kiss, Thrash wrapping his arms about his lover in a fierce embrace that nearly knocked all the wind from the god.

And he smiled for once in a great while.

❤️ : Aegis fell for Thrash several times. Once when he developed his crush on him, at the time Thrash was in King Regis’ navy and Aegis was the arcane advisor to Imos. The second time was four hundred years later when Father Dunwitty nursed the merfolk back to health and Aegis skulked around the church trying to hide himself away from Thrash. He couldn’t help but stare when Thrash was tuning the church’s organ or listen intently when he played a viol that Father Dunwitty lent him. This man had survived so much and was creating something beautiful out of the loneliness and pain he no doubt felt. The third time was when Thrash sassed him one morning as he was arguing with Dunwitty, it was obvious then to him that Thrash simply considered him another man. Nothing more than that. He knew that if he was going to pursue a relationship with him that there wouldn’t be judgement or the kind of worship he wasn’t alright with. 

❤️ : Thrash knows that Aegis isn’t perfect, there were secrets at the beginning that he should have shared but didn’t. And yet Thrash still loved him through all of that. It’s something that Aegis is so thankful for. Even when Aegis shared that he had a daughter and had been with Regis and Delilah, he accepted the pain that Aegis was in and helped him get through it instead of berating him. He can never thank him enough for being a steady hand through the agony of his issues. 

❤️ : There was nothing Aegis thought about more in Eternal Gardens than getting back to Thrash. That moment was when it was solidified in his mind that he wanted nothing more than to marry him and possibly have a family. Or even just travel the world together if Thrash wanted instead. All Aegis could focus on was seeing him smile again even as Mikael made sure to tell him all the horrible things that he would do if Thrash came. He couldn’t get the image of a happy Thrash out of his head.

I answered this partially last night or so, but I’ll get more into it!! 

Aegis is comfortable and calm around Thrash. Never before has he been so relaxed around someone, not even his own family. But now Aegis has someone that he literally just collapses around in every sense of the word and feels at home. He feels safe, which is something so new to him. It’s a nice feeling though. His body language is almost lazy even in it’s elegance, he always has a hand resting on or around Thrash with an easy smile. He’s never been happier.

Their interactions with their children, if they have them

Less rumors spread about the mad Divine Aegis when he finally settles down and has children. More and more people observe that he is actually a kind, loving, and sweet man, rather than the monster they’ve all heard about. His smiles are easy and bright, his laugh even more so. Aegis dotes upon his daughters and always makes sure that they are left with happiness no matter the situation. Every interaction is gentle, because that’s what he is, a gentle father. 

Their interactions with their pets, if they have them

Aegis is extremely playful with his cat even at the worst of times. Often he can be found with Fischer cuddled up on his chest while he’s napping or Fischer lays down on the kitchen table while Aegis drinks his coffee in the morning. When there are darker moments he’ll scoop Fischer up and just bury his face into his fur.

Their interactions with their significant other(s), if they have them

Always soft, even in the beginning. He’s private with his affections most of the time, at least the bulk of them. But there are times where he will slip his hand into Thrash’s and just squeeze it gently, just so they both know the other is there. Most, if not all, interactions are sweet and loving, Aegis knows he can be open about everything with Thrash. He would never be judged. 

Them in formalwear

Aegis is regal as always, almost like he knows that everyone’s eyes are on him at some point. Subconsciously he keeps his head held high and loves the attention. Especially if he can catch Thrash’s attention :^). There’s almost always a smirk involved. 

Them sleepy

When he’s on the road he’ll basically walk until he drops, being tired doesn’t register well with him. Aegis when he’s relaxed and tired looks serene, often just leans against the headrest of his chair at home and lets his eyes close for a while. His tail curls protectively around himself or around anyone he’s sleeping with. He’ll take up the whole bed just being sprawled out when he’s super tired. 

Them drunk (for the wildcard one)

Loud and boisterous, Aegis is an affectionate drunk if you can get him there which is not that easy. He’ll lean against any of his friends and always try to burst out into song, although we’re not entirely sure how well that goes.
