im rewatching starstruck odyssey and this narration really stuck out to me…… big comedy season but the themes of isolation vs. connection are sooooo special and beautiful <3

i know its been 2 years since a starstruck odyssey ended but i need to talk about gunnie miggles rashbax again because like, he's The character of all time, do you know how hard it is to be the optimist? especially when life keeps kicking you down? and yet he persisted!! even with his 750k dept, even with his cyborg body, even with nothing to his name not even a bed to sleep in, he truly believed from day one that everything will be okay, that one day his luck will turn around, and all it took was for a group of friends, nay, a found family, to believe in him

i keep thinking about this scene

when he was talking to his professor after his luck turned around, he was telling her that now, after proving his family wrong after proving that he was right all along to leave the academia life and go on to become a spacer, now he can finally call them again, he can show his face again, he can come home, now that he was right he can come home. and there is something so deeply relatable about that, about going against everyone's expectations completely into the darkness of space, with the belief that despite what everyone thinks, you are going to be okay.

reminding everyone that one of my Favourite seasons Starstruck Odyssey opened with SO much catastrophic failure, and we didn't get stuff like the Sheriff nat 20 intimidate check until like 8/9 and Operation slippery puppet was like ep 13. So everyone just HOLD FAST during fhjy😭

the Worse it is now, the more satisfying the pay off will be, so we all just gotta live in pain for a bit😭
