Description
Sincerely, The Duke is the second novel in the historical romance Say I Do trilogy about dukes needing to wed to tap into their wealth by New York Times bestselling author Amelia Grey.
Miss Edwina Fine has one shot at finding a husband before the ton learns her secret. With red hair, green eyes and being one of triplets, she knows the superstitions and rumors about women like her. So when a marriage proposal from the Duke of Stonerick arrives by mail, Edwina jumps at the chance to solve her problems. But nothing could prepare her for the attraction that sparks between them when they finally meet. It will take more than Edwina’s wit to navigate her past, reservations about marriage and the passion that ignites within her for the irresistible duke.
Rick, Duke of Stonerick, enjoys his life exactly as it is: honing his expert marksmanship, playing cards and fencing with his friends. He even enjoys exchanging affectionate humor with his mother about his lack of matrimonial engagement. But when a recurring illness reminds Rick he has no heir, he picks a name from the list of prospects his mother presents and writes a simple marriage proposal. Then he forgets about it―until that very lady with an iron will and breathtaking bravery shows up at his doorstep, ready to accept. Edwina tempts him like no other and suddenly, marriage doesn’t seem much of an inconvenience after all. But will keeping his illness a secret cost him her love?
My Review
5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely loved this story! It is entertaining, engaging, well written, witty, and a heart warming romance!
There is so much going on in this story that I adored, the secrets and the superstitions regarding these three sisters were just so cleverly done that it kept a smile on my face. The wedding night information that the heroine received from her chamber maid was definitely entertaining as well.
But mostly it is the main characters that kept me glued to the pages. My heart would take flight each time these two were in a scene together. Their bantering so charming and their allure for one another breathtaking. I was pulled in immediately and never wanted it to end.
This is Rick, Duke of Stonerick and Miss Edwina Fine’s journey and I loved every moment of it. If you are a fan of historical romance then this is the book for you!
I received an early copy and this is my honest review.

We can’t give the ones we love a free pass when it comes to hurting us. Too often we make excuses for behavior that is inexcusable —just because we “love” them. It's Getting Scot in Here - Suzanne Enoch
My review: (5*)This book is amazing and was a really pleasant reading experience. It's entertaining, fun to read and you're hooked till the last page. The start is wonderful, so full of humour and so tongue in cheek, it made me love this book since the first pages. I appreciated the female characters, so strong willed and anti conformist, and I love the evolution of Amelia Rose, the train of thought that made her understand what she really wanted. I think I could have a new book boyfriend in Niall, another Highlander that could be defined the king of men. The entire cast of characters is well written and fleshed out, you cannot help rooting for the brothers and the young couple in love. I loved the romance as much as I liked the family, friendship and growing-up themes. I look forward to reading the next installment in this series and will surely read other books by Ms Enoch. Highly recommended! Many thanks to St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for this ARC. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book, all opinions are mine.
The plot:  London socialite Amelia-Rose Baxter is nobody’s fool. Her parents may want her to catch a title, but she will never change who she is for the promise of marriage. Her husband will be a man who can appreciate her sharp mind as well as her body. A sophisticated man who loves life in London. A man who considers her his equal—and won’t try to tame her wild heart... Rough, rugged Highlander Niall MacTaggert and his brothers know the rules: the eldest must marry or lose the ancestral estate, period. But Niall’s eldest brother just isn’t interested in the lady his mother selected. Is it because Amelia-Rose is just too. . . Free-spirited? Yes. Brazen? Aye. Surely Niall can find a way to soften up the whip-smart lass and make her the perfect match for his brother for the sake of the family. Instead it’s Niall who tempts Amelia-Rose, despite her reservations about barbarian Highlanders. Niall finds the lass nigh irresistible as well, but he won’t make the mistake his father did in marrying an Englishwoman who doesn’t like the Highlands. Does he have what it takes to win her heart? There is only one way to find out...

Happy release date, Sadie! I am so glad you are now out for thw world to see ♡ • This is a beautiful story, story of little girl Sadie who hasn't had easy life, the girl who had to grow up to quickly, the girl who lost her sister by hand of a man, the girl who wants to kill him, the girl who is missing. • At least that's what I got from the story so far. I plan on finishing it today and posting all of my thoughts on my blog, but so far it is gripping and beautifuly written. It is kind of book where you feel that something bad is going to happen and it makes me anxious to continue, but at the same time you really want to know where will the story go. At least that's how I feel so far, and that's why this book is brilliant. I will keep you posted on my feelings. • Q: Do you like these type of stories? • #sadie #courtneysummers #stmartinpress #newrelease #releasedate https://www.instagram.com/p/BnTKBFNFKcS/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=c390qjob5rsr

The Earl Next Door - Amelia Grey
My review: (5*) This is a lovely and well written historical romance. I'm a fan of Regency romance, grew up reading Georgette Heyer, and I can say this one is a very good one. I was hooked since the first pages, I really liked the "comedy of errors" with Lyon thinking that Adeline is a maitresse and Adeline wearing something not suitable for a recently widowed lady. It made me laugh and appreciated how it was written and how the characters were introduced. I think that the characters are the main force in this book: they're mature, quite realistic and  there's quite a lot of character development. Adeline is a strong woman who's trying to move on after an abusive marriage, Lyon is a serious and strong men who wants a love marriage. Both are attracted but it's a kind of mature love. I appreciated the originality of the boarding school for poor girls and found the entire cast of characters likable and well written. I look forward to read the next installment in this series. Highly recommended! Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
The plot: When Adeline, Dowager Countess of Wake, learns of her husband’s sudden death, she realizes she’s free. At last, she can do, go, and be as she pleases. Finally, she can have the life she has always dreamed of. She doesn’t need, or want, to remarry. Especially not the supremely dashing future Marquis of Marksworth, who makes Adeline yearn for his desire. . .Lord Lyonwood, son of a philandering marquis, will not be like his father. He wants to run his estates and watch them flourish—and find a wife who brings love to his life. When he meets spirited and self-reliant Adeline in a case of near-scandalous mistaken identity, Lyon feels he’s met his match. But Adeline isn’t interested in a marriage proposal. She will only accept becoming his lover—and Lyon finds it hard to refuse. Unless the fire of his passion can melt Adeline’s resolve. . .

The Younger Wife by Sally Hepworth
Tumblr media
A big thank you to @stmartinpress for the opportunity to read this advanced reader copy of The Younger Wife! Publish date for this book is April 5, 2022 and it is currently available for pre order.   Rachel and Tully get the shock of a lifetime when their dad announces over lunch with his new girlfriend that they plan to marry. Heather, this new fiancée, it bears noting is younger than both girls. The girls immediately feel a sense of betrayal as their father is still technically married to the girls’ mother, Pam, who is in failing health due to her battle with dementia. The girls grow to not only understand but appreciate Heather as they learn their father may not be who they think he is. As POV shifts, we learn no one is truly without their flaws.   This is the third book I’ve read by Sally Hepworth and they never fail to impress. This one had me hooked from the jump with the scene at the wedding. Hepworth does a sensational job of balancing suspense with family drama in a combination that is just right for my tastes. This one definitely ended up taking a different turn than I was expecting, but not in a bad way.   The epilogue, while frustrating to some, was so powerful to me. It highlights the persuasive power of gaslighting. The victims of his abuse didn’t even see it for what it was due to his slick nature, a master manipulator. Even though the end with Heather becoming so close with the girls and their family, it was nice to see her get a happy ending. This book tackles some heavy topics, which was what I loved so much about The Good Sister. However, I do want to tack on a TW for those issues. Domestic abuse, rape, binge eating, kleptomania, depression, manipulation and gaslighting were all explored as it was revealed that no one in this group was free of some kind of coping mechanism to deal with stress and turmoil. These girls didn’t know what their own sisters were experiencing for years and we as a society need to do more to de stigmatize mental health issues.   I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys psychological suspense, thrillers, and family drama.   ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ - 4.5/5
