Overblot design ratings starting at the bottom
DISCLAIMER: everything is ranked higher than Leona cause his toes
7) Score: 6.5/10
I think this is self explanatory-put shoes one, cause 1: ew, dirty floor may step on a nail and 2: you got long nails, if you stub a toe, the nail will break or be pushed back into toe and it will hurt, though I will say I like the "tights" or ink covering the legs and ankle bangles. The stitched rags are a cool idea but compared to other designs, it doesn't exude fear or an aura of power. I like the upper half though, it suits you and I like how the fur across the shoulders represents Scar's mane. The hair and makeup is nice, but the makeup is lacking compared to others.
6) Score: 6.8/10
The makeup is amazing, love the addition of the crown->that plus the shell necklace are a lovely representation of Ursula. I was surprised and happy to see this ob transformation but it's kinda just a darker version of Azul's merform to me so lacking a bit of creativity, still like it though
5) Score: 7/10
Admittedly this design is very plain compared to even the two before him, but it gains bonus points for changing flame color based on emotion like Hades' hair, the hair here is also styled just like Hades' so if we think about it, someone could have literally blowed his hair out during the battle like happened to Hades, plus I like the mask, similar to the masks that light up when you talk which is fitting for Idia's chatacter
4) Score: 8.3/10
Shoes are freaking amazing, the snatched waist, the tight fitting ... uh skirt, dress (?), the dangly jewelry, amazing, love baggy-Jammi but Jamil needs to wear more slick clothes like this, black and blood red suit him, makeup is great, inky chin pubes are ehh, turban is a bit over the top but it represents Jafar when he first gets his power which is fitting and the medusa hair is also representative of Jafar's transformation and looking at Jafar's dialogue we now know that deep down Jamil loves puns which is great. Will say that although each character gets a skin tone alteration when the ob, I found Jamil's most apparent and he kinda just looks ashy, but still a great design
3) Score: 9.3/10
So when I first saw this, I hated his crown, sun, peacock headdress thing but seeing it more and more, it's kind of fitting, Vil is the only one who could rock something so "extra" (I mean that in a nice way, idk the right word for it), and if it represents a peacock it matches with the feathers on his legs, and I guess the claws do too. Honestly, I think this design was more inspired by the Evil Queen in Snow-white and the Huntsman (I may be wrong on that, don't quote me) but again, it is very fitting for Vil as a character. The subtle hints of red are nice, love the crown and the puffed sleeves and the dark veil. All of it is very grandiose and regal very queen, very Vil, but the dirty collar peaking out (and kinda the sleeve style) reminds me of Snow White which can be fitting for both the Queen and Vil because they both hate the one people praise but are always overshadowed by them, no matter what they do people will remember and connect them to the one they hate, even if they had succeeded in getting rid of them. The corset's okay, just shows that the rose has thornes, makeup's okay looks like his dorm crown and makeups nice but not much else
2) Score: 9.8/10
He is adorable. Should I be scared, yeah probably, but he looks like an edgy cupcake I love it. Has one of the best makeup designs, love that the crown stays but just becomes more deadly, love the choker, love the spiked collar, love the high boots, his heart is displayed for all to see, double belts are always a safe bet, the painted roses represent the queen how things went wrong, the thorny vines wrap around him showing how sharp his words can bite, and the cards hanging from him, dyed in black like him are a lovely addition to the ensemble because it represents how even when gone mad, the Queen's soldiers dutifully followed her orders and came to her defense which, if Ace hadn't done anything, would be exactly the case for all the Heartslabyul students when Riddle overblotted
1) Score: 10/10
I mean, come on now, look at him. I love the minty skin tone here its representative of Maleficent and really suits him. The cape shifting from purple to thorny green flames is also representative of Maleficent at the end of the film which I love, the crossing cage on his chest and under his skirt reminds me of the gates/windows/doors patterns of the time Sleeping Beauty is based in and we know he love architecture so points there, the style of the shoes/tights also look like the style if the time a little dorky but cute. He wears bangles and ink runs up his shoulders but I think it's interesting his arms and hands are mostly uncovered which is uncommon in almost all of the ob forms. The design of his corset is nice, don't really get the point of the belt tied in front but hey if it come down to it, grab and throw him over your should then sprint away, he'll be thrown off for a second but greatly angered afterward but hey distraction. The hair brushed back really seems to make him look more royal than he normally does which is nice and we can see his scales which are perfectly enhanced by the makeup outlining them. Now, I do like the green glowing between the plates of his tail but seeing the same pattern going on in his horns throws me off since I think I got too used to seeing his normal horns, his horns do look longer here but I'm not entirely sure that's true or if its just an optical illusion cause of the colors. Overall, the true extent of his strength and power are showcased clearly in this form which I think is great, and I see his cape is still dragging on the floor despite his height and the fact that he's floating so I need to see him walk down the stairs and swish his cape around like Mother Gothel
And that's it, what ranking would you give these Overblot forms? Which one would you wear?

thoughts on the wretched wocky? (some of the unconverted ones like the darigan wocky look so good but that blank unappealing not-quite-smile of the regular wockies makes me so, so angry for some reason. theyre looking at me the wrong way and im taking it personally)
I feel like Wockies have always had a bit of a problem standing out, as they are very plain Neopets—they don't really have a unique "hook". Dozens of Neopets have manes and fluffy tails, and Aishas have you covered if you're looking for something cat-like.
That said, I would argue that Wockies at least stand out in their stocky, incredibly fluffy body shape. If Aishas are house cats, then Wockies are basically Pallas Cats, only they hate the world slightly less. (They're also the most huggable Neopet, and I stand by this.)
Visually, they're super simple; just a chunky body with a mane to break things up a bit. I do have to state that I really don't care for the pink manes on the base colors though—I guess they were trying to match the ears/nose, but it looks a bit clashy (especially on red Wockies) and the brown eyes only worsen this. I think a darker/lighter tint of the base color or a neutral would've worked better there. Thankfully this is solely a problem with the base colors though, as most paint jobs have a more fitting mane color.
Of course, I can't talk about Wockies without talking about customization:
I'd argue that Wockies were one of the worst species conversions out there. At a glance, they look similar—until you notice that, inexplicable, the entire face completely changed. The rectangular eyes and awful thick eyebrows look so much worse than the original design. (Also, the feet are too pronounced on the converted design, but that's beside the point.) And what's weird is that there was literally no reason for this change, and it in no way relates to the actual conversion requirements—the artist seemingly just woke up one day and decided that they really, really hated Wockies. An absolute shame.
Favorite Colors:
Elderly: This color combo literally just came out last month, but it's already a standout for me. These guys have a really charming elderly cat look, complete with slightly ruffled fur, Siamese and tabby markings respectively, and a folded ear on the males. The clothes are also, for the most part, nice neutral colors (though I find the female's hair curlers jarring, especially due to how the eyebrows clip over them. They can be removed though so no worries there). What's also great is that the base colors are lovely in and of themselves if the clothing doesn't do it for you.
Darigan: I have to give the Darigan Wocky points for one simple reason: it's one of the only converted Wocky colors that fixes the godforsaken rectangle eyes, which already makes it look better than a lot of Wockies. Beyond that though it's also a pretty solid color all around. I'm usually more of a purple Darigan person, but the red does work here, the giant horns are fun, and the mottled markings a nice touch. The UC has a wonderfully grumpy personality, but the converted version sticks to the design pretty perfectly otherwise.
Plushie: I feel like Plushie Wockies manage to make the original pink manes work, mostly because they're using a nice salmon pink combined with a more neutral blue, and they also made the eyes pink instead of having them be brown for no reason. The UC has a super cute body shape, but even the converted version still retains some very nice colors and patterns (though it does low-key bug me that the stitch line isn't properly centered on the face). Good stuff!

Jedi robe significations
[NB: all of this is headcanon, derived from what clothing items are named in-game, what various Jedi NPCs wear, and also things I just made up because I like them.]
White robes indicates a consular whose work is primarily in diplomatic or other physically “safe” arenas, as white is a hard colour to keep pristine in rough environments and in combat.
Likewise, particularly trailing sleeves indicate the same.
One or two pieces of light leather armor (e.g. shoulder-pads and vambraces) indicate a Jedi regards putting themselves in physical danger in warzones and other combat to be part of their personal duties.
Heavier armour indicates that a Jedi is primarily involved - as in, their current mission is - in war. This is often a way to spot a Jedi who is more willing to fight than many of their peers are.
The Ansata are a sub-group of Jedi that believe they follow the Force’s will specifically by gathering and protecting knowledge. Ansata patterns and hair/head jewelry, such as those worn by Jocasta Nu and Atris, indicate a Jedi belongs to the Ansata group.
It’s rare to see a Kyber Jedi away from Ilum, but if you do, they can be distinguished by their kyber crystal being not carried as part of a lightsaber but carried in a clear case or on its own as jewelry. Their robes are embroidered or cut into fractal patterns, and often have transparent, glowing, or shimmering elements. Cold-weather gear is commonly worn by Kyber Jedi even in warm environments, and many will never appear publicly unhooded.
Dark grey robes indicate either work with the criminal underworld or status as a Shadow.
Jedi in green robes are, of course, usually Corellian Green Jedi.
While brown robes are extremely commonly worn by Jedi - indeed, a plain brown robe over cream or brown tunics is known galaxy-wide as what a Jedi is “supposed” to wear - and golden elements aren’t overly uncommon, wearing red robes is taboo, due to association with the Sith. For this reason, dark orange is also best avoided.
Visibly repaired (patched, ragged, re-stitched, etc) robes, when not worn out of necessity, indicate a Jedi who is primarily devoted to alleviating social inequality.
Jedi who wear animal fur, pelts or skins, and are not from a species or heritage that values the use of animal products (e.g., Togruta or Trandoshan Jedi), are animal specialists, training, befriending, and working alongside any animal from acklays to gundarks to zeldrake.
Many Jedi healers wear the medical emblem in an easy-to-see location on their upper sleeves.
Jedi stationed on Coruscant or Tython often incorporate gold-coloured elements into their robes.
“Mismatched” robes, with each clothing element being of a different material, in a different style, and with different motifs, indicates a Jedi whose focus is communication between differing cultures, whether as a diplomat, a translator, or simply someone whose circle of contacts is extremely diverse.
Want to know if a Jedi has just thrown on their current robes to fit what they’re doing today? Look at the boots. If the boots don’t match, they’ve either just switched assignments or this isn’t their usual work. Similarly, a Jedi’s robes should in some way match the style of their lightsaber(s), and if they don’t, they’re not in robes they wear often.
If a Jedi’s robes and lightsaber are black and spiky, that’s probably not a Jedi. Move along, now.

[ ASHER’S NECKLACES ] asher x baaabe.
✶ notes : gn!reader, fluff, 18+, romantic relationship, collar / collaring, choking, 0.4k
asher has and wears a lot of necklaces. and when i say necklace, i don’t just mean a long piece of jewelry with something dangling at the bottom, no no no. i’m referring to…a choker. a chain. a collar. a hand. all four of which look positively stunning wrapped around the beta’s neck.
he owns many many many chokers ; different styles and aesthetics, different materials, different sizes in width. one of his — and baaabe’s as well…and mine — is this choker made up of a string of white pearls. it’s thin and delicate, if pulled a little too hard, it would break and fall apart.
but…it also looks so beautiful against his tanned skin. asher loves to carefully toy with the beads, tracing over them and rolling them between his fingers absentmindedly. it never fails to draw baaabe’s eyes to both the choker and his neck.
he also has a few chain necklaces thrown into the mix. he typically wears a thin, short gold chain. there’s nothing fancy or special about it, it’s a simple, plain, ‘goes with everything’ kind of accessory. that being said…baaabe still finds fun in curling a finger underneath it to pull him in closer; fixing it when the latch slides down over to the front; watching it dangle and sway back and forth over their eyes as their mate towers over them, mouth open and heavy eyes lidded.
but above the pearls and chains and everything else, one of asher’s top favorite necklaces…is no other than his collar. he owns quite a collection, in fact. some for casual wear, some for more…special occasions. an array of pastel and dark colors, bejeweled and bare, lined with fur and plain leather. but for now…we’ll focus on one in particular.
a thick strip of baby blue leather, hand stitched with white thread. a row of sharp silver spikes that wrap around to the back, alternating in size between tall and short. the softest fluffy white fur lining the inside, hiding all the bites and bruises painting his skin. and, to top it off…a tag attached to the ring in the shape of a dog bone, engraved into the golden medal…babe’s puppy.
……you’re still here? it’s done, it’s over.
……oh, i did say ‘one of’….didn’t i?
that’s because there is one other thing than a collar that asher loves fastened around his pretty neck…and that is his mate’s hand. the culprit alongside their teeth and lips behind the bite marks and hickies and small crescents he bears so proudly. he loves to have their hand on his throat ; palm pressing down and fingers gripping tightly, nails scraping at skin and fingertips tracing muscles. the electric shivers that never fail to run down the length of his space. paired with the smirk it brings to baaabe’s lips.
perfection.

I just saw Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and I LOVED IT (fun and unique characters with motivations, goals and development! a story about the characters in the movie instead of setting up three new spinoffs! Easter eggs that were actually proper Easter eggs that enhanced things for a viewer in the know instead of plot points you need three other shows to understand but are referred to as Easter eggs anyway!) and what I loved most was HOLGA KILGORE. Barbarian is my fave class to play and also I love potatoes. I want to cosplay her.
Obviously that is gonna take a LOT more research and I haven't decided what level of screen accuracy I'm aiming for but here's what I noticed just from my first viewing and some promo images in case any other cosplayers could use the info:
Costume seems to be sleeveless undershirt, corset, chest armor that includes shoulder pieces, gauntlets, belt with attached hip pieces and long tie that hangs down, pants, and boots.
Holga takes her chest armor off at one point and you can see the undershirt is a rather roughspun fabric (linen?) with no hemming. V-shape neckline that hides under the chest piece. It tucks into the corset. The sleeve line does not extend under the shoulder pieces.
Corset goes under waistline of pants. It has a slanted what's the word... you know where it would open? But it's fastened, not laced. Not sure about any back lacing.
Chest armor is ribbed but I don't see stitching, so it doesn't look like something that could be replicated by putting piping under fabric/pleather and stitching it down unless you didn't care about visible seams. There is lacing under the armpits. The back has an attached holster for her greataxe. Fastenings are possibly hidden under the metal plate in front over her cleavage. The plate appears to be fastened on by buckles so it could be that's the actual fastening for the chest piece as well. There are studs lining the edge of the arm holes and bottom and iirc the neckline too. Fur pokes out around the bottom and iirc the armholes too.
Gauntlets may be two pieces? They strap around her lower arms and are lined with fur and there is also an elbow piece. I can't remember if that's fur-lined too.
Not sure how tall the boots are, but they seem to be the "slouchy" kind. They blend in with the pants a lot so it's hard to tell.
The belt has some kind of diamond decorative pattern, possibly metal studs. There is a rope-like material used as a tie (not sure if decorative or functional) and the front pieces hang down very low, past her knees. There are two hip pieces, rectangular, made of overlapping pieces of leather with fur lining.
There is also a V-shaped belt visible but it's unclear if it's a separate belt, the waistband of the pants, or a bottom piece of the corset.
I would love to carry a bag of potatoes as an accessory and hand them out at the next con I go to or something lol. Assuming that's within con rules. She has a large rectangular plain brown bag with I think a flap top.
These are all from memory, so take with a grain of salt. I'm hoping to do more research into the costume and hopefully actually make it!! We'll see how long my fixation lasts but oh I did so really love this movie.

He's my best friend best of all best friends💏
[ Plain text: He's my best friend best of all best friends💏( men kissing emoji)]
So @boo-bookeys-reblogs left very kind tags on a post of mine for my AU....
[ID: A screenshot of the tags from the blog Boo Bookeys Reblogs. They read 'baby i love this. I absolutely love it when draw characters in their own interpretations." Then " and "wow! This is such a design for them! It's gorgeous! I'm obsessed!" And then general tags regarding the game Smile For Me, the ship Habismal and GIFs. End ID]
Live Habismal reaction!
[ Plain text: Live Habismal reaction! ]
[ ID: Traditional fanart of the game Smile For Me involving the characters Kamal Bora and Dr. Habit, but my versions from my AU Roseverse. The sketch is done in blue pen and uncolored. Lightly rough pencil lines are seen as well. It is their reaction to the previous tags.
In the artists AU interpretation Habit has marionette features such as segmented, jointed dark line-cuts around his mouth, hands that are visible. He looks thin. A bit of a small droopy chests outline is visible. Stitch-scarring is seen on arms. He is also fur covered. His face is gaunt and freckled with protruding furry cheeks, then fur-ruffles under his makeup-applied eyes, then a thin pencil stache with surrounding chin and neck hair. The middle of the neck is surrounded by a scar, and he has an Adams apple. His teeth are broken and he has one snaggletooth fang. His voluminous curly hair poofs out into drawn spiralling curls, but he is clearly balding on one side too with stray hairs perking up. Here Habit wears a half-handed buttoned shirt tucked into his pants a bit, rounded off with a belt. From his collar is a tie with polka dots. The shirt is modified with a frilly collar, poofy shoulder parts. The pants are jeans.
Kamal meanwhile has a more aged appearance as well-- wrinkly face, sagging jowls and crooked nose. He has a clear middle-tooth gap. He looks of a more average size. Some acne and sharp stubble. He has a less prominent Adams apple. He has white streaks in short dark hair, has puffy eyebags paired with bushy brows. Here Kamal wears his hair in a really short ponytail. He has on a lint-ball covered hoodie that looks scratchy, its strings at the front hang unevenly. A bit of a black shirt underneath is seen. For minimal jewellery, he has a teardrop-shaped chew necklace and a single small gold earring on the left.
Habit stands straight up while Kamal hunches over. His height reaches up to just about Habit's chest.
Habits pupils are constricted as he shoots his hand up in a gasp of surprise, the other one tight behind his back. Kamals eyes are a bit wide and he smiles, reaching up from his posture, as if pleasantly surprised.
In black cursive text below is the compliment they're reacting to, "You're gorgeous! I'm obsessed. " Gorgeous is underlined in pink with a heart on the exclamation mark. End ID]
....
They both think you complimented the other one! Obviously they're the hotter one, right..?
[ Plaintext : ....
They both think you complimented the other one! Obviously they're the hotter one, right..? ]
[ ID: Traditional fanart, continuing the part above. This one is fully colored digitally. The sketch lines are scanned thick and black, defined.
Kamal has a warm medium brown skintone and dark tousled grey hair with white streaks. His hairband is dark blue with glittery spots. The facial places with his acne are reddened and darkened, few white pimples. His hands have hairy knuckles and darkened finger areas. There are Beau's lines on his nails. His hoodie is a soft grey with pastel red undertones and a darker hood area. It has a yellow patch on the lower right arm which says " We will always love you( This is threaded in red and cursively) Kamal(Kamal is threaded with gold in Assamese) OUR SON( this is thickly threaded in teal ) ( The transgender symbol is seen )". Meanwhile on his red chew necklace with rose-pink string, a simple design of a twisting flower with bisexual colors is drawn, its leaves are purple.
Habit has apple-green fur and shades of deep rose-pink hair. His facial hair and the balding spot is of a darker shade. The sclera of his eyes are a light pink to indicate loving adoration, his pupils are dark brown. He has on purple eyeshadow, red lipstick and nailpolish. His eyebags and fur-ruffles are of a deep red sort. Some of his cheek-sticker freckles are white. The stitch-scars, ball joints, joint-cuts and wrinkles are done in a much darker green. Habit's shirt is a light rose-pink with a pale shade of it for the collar frills. His tie is yellow with green polka dots. His belt is standardly brown plus silver-buckled and his jeans are a pastel yellow and pink.
Kamal pulls down Habit by his tie lightly, and Habit willingly leans down too, one hand resting on his leg to balance. Kamal talks to him, looking playful, brows furrowed and grinning wide in challenge. Some sweat trickles down. He is looking up, his hair being pushed up by Habit's face touching close to his. Some of the other's lipstick smudges Kamal's nose tip red. Habit rests his other hand on Kamal's shoulder, twirling two of his fingers in strands from Kamal's ponytail. He too talks back, smiling unevenly big, looking coquetteish. A deep pink blush blooms from across his face to a bit of his neck. Habits hair falls down and covers Kamal amidst it.
The BG is a emanating yellow that gets softer starting from the bright light behind Habit's head. There are very light pastel rainbow flares in wide arcs throughout. Red hearts are drawn from Habit, and smaller blue hearts from Kamal. End ID]

How to make your fan plushie: Part 2 - Fabric and Sewing
So. You got your pattern. You’re reasonably confident in what you got going on with it.
Time to pick a fabric.
Personally, I prefer to work in fleece for the main part. It’s got some advantages:
1) it doesn’t fray, so I don’t need to hem it. Since I’m doing all my sewing by hand, not having to hem this shit is VITAL to the continued existence of my carpal tunnel.
2) most fleeces are the same on both sides. You can’t fuck up the direction of a fur or the pattern or the shiny vs matte side, which imo makes them great beginner’s fabrics
3) they tend to stretch equally in both directions. This does, again, make your life easier because it means the plushie won’t distort weirdly during stuffing if you accidentally flipped a piece somewhere
4) soft, yet not so fuzzy that it will start obscuring the details. A lot of my work got small details going that you just cannot get on plush
Generally speaking, I buy my fleece at a local store, in person, if possible. It lets me touch the fabric, and hold up threads and other pieces to it to see if the colors much. BUT. if the internet is all you got? Go and use it, no shame in that.
Now, there are two other kinds of fabric I regularly use in plushie making: one is thin felt, and one is satin ribbon.
The felt is for flat, detailed applique work that would suck in fleece. You can only cut fleece so small before it starts disintegrating on you. Felt can be cut finer before you hit that point.
The lion is felt, because cutting the mouth in fleece would have been suffering.
The other thing is satin ribbon. Now, this does especially for ghosties, but you may use this knowledge as you please: it’s hard to make fabric glow. Fleece doesn’t look shiny, it doesn’t catch the light, the structure isn’t meant for it. Satin however does just that.
So if you have a detail on your plushie that you want to jump out, something that should glow and shine?
Like this?
Satin ribbon is your friend.
The contrast will let you approximate without having to fuck about with electronics, and satin ribbon comes in endless colors, many widths, and can often be bought by the meter.
Otherwise, depending on your subject, you may want embroidery floss (the XIV up there is embroidered on).
Then you bring it all home. You lay it flat on a surface of your choice (floor for me), and you trace all your pieces onto the fabric. I use both tailor’s chalk or a plain old ballpoint pen, depending on how dark my fabric is. Both work fine. Use what pleases you. Just note that if you need a lot of pressure to trace your pieces, you may distort/stretch the fabric by pulling on it
HOWEVER FOR THE CUTTING i cannot overstate how much a pair of dressmaking or fabric shears makes your life easier. They are handsdown the best sewing investment I’ve ever made, even if you need to handle them with a bit of care and can only use them for fabric, ever, they make it SO much easier to get good cuts. Expensive fabric markers you can skip but shears are so good. Get yourself some shears.
Anyhow, you trace your stuff, you cut your stuff, your result should look something like this:
(this is Mr.Bean’s Teddy before assembly begins)
Now, if you’re new to this, my suggestion here would be to pin a few things together, see if the sides match up like you want them or if anything got stretched in the process. If you’re confident that it’s all to size?
Get your needle and your thread and get sewing. small pieces you may be able to just hold together, otherwise you can baste or pin them. I usually prefer pins.
I use bog standard thread, doubled up, knotted at the end and then I just...put everything right side together (meaning: the outside that you can see has the trace marks on it, the inside is pristine. Because the now-inside will be the outside once we flip this over) and sew ahead. My suggestion would be to use the trace line the line you sew along. It’s an easy marker to where your stitches should be and it’s there already anyways.
My preference for a stitch is a regular back stitch as explained here:
youtube
Now my method is to overlap the stitches a bit, so instead of going to the end point of the earlier stitch, i end up somewhere near the middle of it. I find that it makes a tighter, and more secure hold. As for stitch length: this depends on how big the thing you’re doing this, and your personal preference.
Also: do not let people tell you that you HAVE to go left to right or right to left or that it got anything to do with your dominant hand. Work in a way that is comfortable for you. I’ve switched directions between pieces, it’s really just a matter of what works for you, in that moment. So. you get going and you start putting your things together.
Just remember: you gotta turn that baby out later, so if you’re making an orb? Leave a seam somewhere only partially done, we’ll need that to flip it over. The size of the opening depends on how soft your fabric is and how much fabric you gotta pull through but better save than sorry. Sewing up a bigger hole later one makes no difference, but if you’re rough and rip apart your stitches in the process, the repair can be a real bitch. Knowing how much space you need again comes with experience.

Ratings + Insights on the Kaiju Paradise gootraxian redesigns
So the 3.1R update came out and gave me a bunch of furries to brainrot about. And as an enjoyer of Furry Character Design myself, I felt like reviewing most if not all of them.
Know that these are all personal opinions and art is, as always, subjective and disagreeing is okay!
anyways....
KAIJU
Originally a pretty good design. Average "gozilla-esque" look, the redesign is essentially a polishing so it fits more with the newer gootraxians. Looks cute, looks cool, still looks iconic. 10/10
CATTE
Once again, just a polishing of the original design, I like the whiskers, they're cute! Though I'm not sure if I'm a big fan of the washed out colors, and the bucket standing straight on their head. The one ear sticking out was cute. 8/10
FED
A design polish. Which is the treatment that the whole Wolf Quartet as I like to call them got. Well at least now I know that they're wolves. Still a pretty plain design, though the eyes look cool. 5/10
FIG
Can't get more "just a polish" than that. Fig is a pretty anecdotal gootraxian in itself... The texturing of the fur is a nice addition. 10/10
GHOSTFOX
At first I thought it didn't really need the polishing treatment. Until I got another look at its render and yeah, lol. Their face looks weirdly elongated, and the tails have become wispy, likely to emphasize the 'ghostly' look. Though I very much preferred the old fuzzy tails that emphasized the death by electrocution. But I guess it's one or the other.... 6/10
GLUBBY
Formerly known as Feizao, as it's more of a replacement than a redesign (because I'm including them too. Why not?)
Aside from the obvious design having to derive completely from the original, I feel like Glubby is cute and interesting! But it is dragged back completely by how poorly it translates to the 3D roblox models, making it look.... ugly. Unfortunately. 5/10
HAZZY
A really good redesign, holy shit!! I used to really dislike Hazzy because of how plain it looked and it was a pain to unlock it. But the buff not only made it grow on me a bit, the redesign made it actually top tier to me haha...
The hazmat suit patterns, stitches, fucked up and evil attitude are all incredible additions. 11/10
TOXIC RABBIT
A gootraxian that was in dire, dire need of a redesign holy shit lmao. Well it certainly looks more like a rabbit now, but once again, why the desaturated colors...? There's also not much of the evil gremlin energy is used to have. 5/10
SPRINKLEKIT
I started playing Kaiju Paradise, honestly, kind of late... So I didn't exactly experience Conekat firsthand. What I can say from what I see.... Sprinklekit is so much more superior, sorry Conekat fans.
Though I've heard Conekat could merge and have 3 heads so... points goes to them. I do like the sprinklekit variants though, strawberry is my favorite. 10/10
SLIMEPUP
Ah yes, the slimepup. Simple but effective and cute design, the lime color is actually my favorite! The floppy ears definitely makes it look more like a pup. Its artwork is reeally cute! buuuuuut, the design really doesn't translate well to roblox models, unfortunately.... 6/10
SLIMEHOUND
The slimehound looked super cool in artwork.
3D model had me disgusted.
2/10
SHORK
A very plain design that desperately needed an upgrade. And that is a good upgrade indeed! It's still shork, but at least it's not... boring. 10/10
SHADE
Another one of the wolf quartet. Shade is a little cooler than Fed to me. Its redesign is pretty good, it has its own color coding now! Congrats on losing your achromatic palette, Shade! 10/10
PLANTIX
Just a polish, and a very straightforward one too. The new tail looks really cute, I could play as plantix just to look at the flowers on it. 10/10
MOCHA
Mochi is. Very forgettable to my eyes, sorry Mochi fans...
The redesign makes it look more goat-like, I like goats. Oh, and the fur pattern resembling latte art is a really neat touch. Now I know it's a coffee dragon! Mochi/Mocha is boring to me, but it's undeniably a good design. 10/10
LEMONSHORK
Congrats on her transition!
More seriously, I think all the shorks have had the best redesigns haha. I always liked lemonshork design-wise, but the redesign actually looks like it smells and tastes like lemon. True advertising! 11/10
MANIC
Carneline was... my favorite gootraxian among them all. Its design was cute, effective and unique, its color palette was really good and balanced. I understood it being cut from the game so I wanted to welcome Manic with open arms.
But the design just... didn't translate well. It's also so... Monochromatic, so much redder. And the eyes have a busy design. The cyan sclera with fuschia irises is a simplistic yet perfect design. The purple fur contrasting with the red crystals was real neat too.
Manic doesn't look bad, it's just... not as good as Carneline.
....At least Manic's hot in its concept artwork... 2/10
DAGODA
Just like with Glubby, gotta push the drama aside. I really like raptors so there's bias there... People think Dagoda's ugly, I personally really like it! It's no Fashui (one of my old favorites), but it's no big downgrade either.
Although I wish it at least had a few glowing features, given it's a power outage/blackout gootraxian, and that's what made them special. The little lightbulb tail on Fashui is what made it cute...
7/10
MELONSHORK
Okay, I said all the shorks had the best redesigns... BUT.
Melon shork has... the opposite problem of toxic rabbit!
Why are the colors so saturated??? It looks closer to an actual watermelon, but it just looks... not that great. The pastel colors were much nicer. Maybe some thicker, more abundant stripes would make it more melon-y? I don't know...
4/10
PSEUDOSHORK
Now THAT is a redesign I fell in love with instant-fucking-ly. This might actually be the best redesign, if not just my favorite!
From a plain pink shork to this absolute murder gremlin, who bleeds gatorade and laughs at death. The asymmetrical fangs are a really cool touch too.
Top tier/10 Would make this my fursona.
HEBI
Okay, I respect Carneline and Panther's creator to have stepped down and dissociated from the whole concept but daaaamn why were those designs so good...
Panther was peak, unfiltered edginess that was still somehow cool.
And just like with Manic, my issue is the eyes... Hebi doesn't look like a shadow-lurking predator, but more like... a goth clown. Don't get me wrong, it's a really good design on its own! But compare it to Panther?... Man, I miss being edgy.
5/10
BUCK
Why is it red?
Why did they make it red?
It's a blackout gootraxian, not power outage. Why is it fucking red?
??/10
JAMMER
Ooooh the blackout wolves... They have been done dirty. The new patterns and fur colors look nice but Jammer looks too... silly. Too cute... I miss the cool attitude it had! And the outline glow really doesn't look nice either. It feels out of place, it doesn't feel like the Jammer is actually glowing!
no VIP variant can salvage this.
0/10
NIGHTSHADE
I don't have much to say about this. It's just like Jammer. The blackout wolves were done dirty. At least Nightshade kept its original vibe. 2/10
NUCLEAR RABBIT
Absolutely nasty. And I mean it as a compliment. That rabbit will give me every disease and call me a slur. 10/10
SINOX
I didn't have a big opinion on Sinox until I actually saw it in a blackout ingame. And thought "omg it's fucking gorgeous!"
The back is super sparkly, on top of the particles it sheds. Sinox has been given so much more personality, and really went all the way with its concept! That being... a glowstick in a rave. 11/10
WISP
Same creator as Carneline and Panther, and somehow the original design is so.... bland and uninspired. How? That shork doesn't feel very "lantern" to me. On top of looking quite plain.
Wisp brings justice to that idea. This shork is indeed lantern!! Also I really dig the bones. Is it see-through flesh? Is it just not there? Who knows! This design bangs
10/10

Pale Blood - Sharing is caring
(super long scene here)
"You know these don't heal," Delmas said, sucking a breath through his teeth as he pulled a fresh shirt over fresher wounds.
The claw marks had been licked clean, which led to more before Delmas slipped away. Dawn then shifted Den’s attention, and bones, far from Delmas and, while he spent the next half hour disposing of his shed flesh and fur, Delmas took advantage. He worked to properly clean and dress his wounds–feigning ignorance to the irritated grunts, tearing flesh and frequent flushing water that flowed from the connecting bathroom.
But the scratches would never heal, not fully; nothing a fang did, no matter what percentage he might be, could re-stitch cuts from a shifted wolf’s claws.
Den poked his head out of the closet he was digging in, two identical black shirts in his hands–that would read as dresses on him–and the grin on his lips bubbled through his words, "Is that why you have so many scars?"
Delmas didn’t answer that question. Instead, he said, "There're smaller clothes in the drawers." He didn’t answer the laughter that followed either.
Laughter that continued as Den rolled over to check the worn and scratched bottom drawer of the room’s only dresser.
Delmas scrambled across the bed to meet him, snapping the drawer closed with a well-placed kick. “Not that one," He clipped.
Den chuckled, "And why not, that where you keep your toys?"
Not a flicker of mirth touched Delmas’ lips and what lived in Den’s died.
"They're my ex's clothes," Delmas answered, but refused to look at him. "I just haven't thrown 'em out yet and I’d rather not know if they fit you."
That Den understood and, without further giggling, opened a different drawer and something slipped from his lips before he could stop it, "Got it, don't want to be that boyfriend."
Delmas did look at him then—stared one might say–before asking, "Boyfriend?"
Den had a pair of black jeans, too baggy and plain for his liking, in his hands and he studied those jeans–as closely as one might an ancient, illegible parchment or the mists of a crystal ball. Not until Delmas cleared his throat did Den stop studying them.
"Yeah,” He said, voice pitching too high and crackling at the edges, “Well, I mean…we have been spending a lot of time together and we did say certain things."
"So…you’re my boyfriend?" Delmas knelt on the carpet to watch him closer, grinning as he leaned in to find Den’s eyes with his own. “We’re boyfriends?”
And Den squirmed, though he couldn’t work out why. He'd wanted that moment, that confession, that title. But with it there, hung so bare before him, he squirmed.
Damnit, Min-Min, he cursed his sister for putting the finality of it in his head. I don’t want marriage, or to live in the shadow of mother’s wrath…not that I don't already.
"You in there?" Asked Delmas, who cursed his halfie blood that he couldn't pry into a wolf mind the way other fangs could–Den, however, had been thankful for it.
"Yeah…and yes,” Den tried, and it felt safer on his tongue than expected, sweeter somehow than the dread suggested, “We’re boyfriends, dating? If-if you're ready for that…"
"I am," Delmas said through a smile and kissed Den's cheek. "But don't go picking out curtains yet, alright? We did kinda just meet."
"We did," Den said, more to himself. "So much has happened and I forgot...I-I don't even know your full name."
"Delmas Olren," He offered, standing to hunt for socks.
Den sputtered at the ease of it—full names were treasured among wolves—before he answered, with all of his own, "Morden Drenkal."
Delmas ended his hunt, flopping back to the bed as he pulled thick, white socks over his bare feet. But his smile didn’t fade, it held firm as he eyed Den.
"Ah, so that's why your sister calls you Mori, I did wonder," he said, smile crinkling at the edges. As he understood it, the first half of a wolf's name was used to refer solely to the feminine, a sentiment he got enough of from Bosch.
“She…yeah,” was all Den managed, staring again at the jeans he held.
Delmas watched him, frowning at the wrinkle in his brow, then slid from the bed and dropped to his knees beside him. There he grabbed his face, forcing Den’s eyes, burning near as orange as the light filtering in from the window, to seek his and as Den made to speak he kissed him. It was quick and hard and Den’s lips continued to twitch when he pulled away.
"I prefer Den," Delmas told those lips.
“So do I,” they said and then smiled and pecked his cheek, “but Min, she doesn’t mean anything she-”
“She’s young; she’ll figure it out,” Delmas finished, and then he tapped the jeans still held in Den’s fingers, “I’ve got cutters in the top drawer.”
It took Den a second, and then another to fully ingest what Delmas had said before he asked, “Do…do you mean scissors?”
“Yeah, cutters, they’re up there,” Delmas repeated, confused heat blossoming in his cheeks as Den laughed.
He did not bother to cover or stall that laughter as more sputtered from his lips.
“What?” Delmas asked, but the laughter continued, “What did I say that is so damned funny?”
“I know,” Den choked, forcing his breath to ease before continuing, “Fangs look young, for their age but…just how old are you?”
“Old enough not to have time for this,” Delmas said as he hopped off the floor and made to leave the room. “I’m going to check on your sister now, if you’re done making fun of me.”
Den was not.
“Tell her I’m in your room…using your cutters,” he sputtered.
Rich, throaty laughter followed Delmas out of his bedroom, growing ever louder when he shut the door against it. But he wouldn’t worry of the sting it brought for long, as the grumbling in his stomach overpowered it. A grumbling that became a growl, echoed and amplified by the throat of a small girl–who was not yet a wolf–standing in his kitchen.
“I’m hungry,” Minara whined as she noticed the fang staring.
Delmas did not know what wolf pups ate, or if was different from their grown counterparts, but the thought of asking did not appeal and so he said, “Me too, but we’ll wait for your brother before we work out what to do about it. That alright with you?”
Minara smiled wide, exposing teeth too big for her mouth–their points just beginning to taper to the razor tips they would one day become. Then she nodded hard, hard enough to lose the hair-tie that held her frazzled braid in place and her smile fell with it.
She began to sniffle, to whimper and then she wailed, “M-my haaiirr!”
“Shit,” Delmas spat, eyeing the bedroom door–closed, but quiet. “It’s okay,” he said, turning back to the girl. He rushed to grab her lost hair-tie and offered it to her, “See, the tie’s right here, we can fix it.”
Minara sniffed her tears back, tears she didn’t understand–it was only hair, after all–and watched the fang. His hair, the shape of his face, the color of his eyes, even the scruffy curls of his beard–that ran from cheek to cheek and stopped just below his ears–spoke of comfort, of softness. He looked warm and safe and she smiled…and he smiled.
“…You can braid?” She asked him.
Delmas sighed, “Nothing too fancy, but I can manage.”
Minara giggled and grabbed one of the fang’s thick fingers. She said nothing more as she pulled him, leading him easily to his ragged couch. There she shoved against his legs until he sat and then she climbed into his lap, turned away and tossed her hair back at him.
“Go on,” She said, when he didn’t take the offered hair, “Fix it.”
“Alright,” Delmas muttered, “I’ll just…do that.”
He didn’t tell her that the last hair he braided had been a man’s, or that the man had been her brother, whose hair hung far lower and thicker and had been easier for his fat fingers to grasp. She didn’t need to know. Instead, Delmas tried his best. And, when that failed and he tugged too hard and tangled his hands, he tried again.
Minara giggled at each pull, each sharp tug on her scalp. It didn’t matter that it hurt, or that it would probably not be as pretty as Nash has made it the evening before, what mattered to Minara was whose hands held her.
Mori’s gunna have a fit, she told herself, delighted at the prospect, at the image her mind conjured of his slender features twisted with jealous rage.
Delmas smiled as the little wolf’s thoughts bubbled into his own, amused by their presence but more by their glee. He wanted to answer them with his own, watch her jump and gasp. But he didn’t. Not from a sudden crisis of conscience, but a cleared throat.
“Oh, so you’ll braid just anyone’s hair?” Den asked, crossing his arms as Delmas looked at him. “And here I thought I was special…”
“Your boyfriend is mine now!” Minara declared, giggling again.
“There ya go,” Delmas said and patted her head, “All done.”
When he lifted her up and set her on the floor, Minara began to pout but her hair tapped against her back and she took to scrutinizing it.
“Where’s your mirror?” She asked.
“Hallway,” Delmas answered, smiling as the girl squeaked and took off toward the hall. His smile turned to a chuckle as she squealed. “Guess she found it,” he said to Den.
“That was nice of you,” He returned, taking a seat beside Delmas. “You didn’t have to do that, you know.”
Delmas wrapped an arm around him, pulling him into a hug and kissed his forehead. “I know.”
The grumble of both their stomachs interrupted the moment, rolling into a groan from Den as Delmas pulled away.
“It has been a minute…” Den said. “We could probably do with a bite.”
“Well,” Delmas began, mind frantic with possible solutions, “I don’t have what you need, and I don’t know what she needs, but I do know a place that delivers.”
Den raised a brow, watching, and waiting.
“The hearts are vat-grown, if that works?” Delmas explained.
“In a pinch,” Den answered, “Min can’t eat them though; she needs meat, rarer the better.”
Delmas nodded, considering –while most fangs subsisted on blood, and blood alone, he required food and as a consequence of that requirement he had learned to cook…and to enjoy cooking, but especially to share his cooking.
“I can work with that,” he said, grin spreading slow and wide, “Just gotta make a few calls.”

Discover the History and Craftsmanship Behind Stetson Leather Hats
Stetson leather hats are a symbol of American heritage and craftsmanship, known for their durability, style, and timeless appeal. In this blog, we will delve into the fascinating history and meticulous craftsmanship behind these iconic hats, revealing why they are a top choice for hat enthusiasts in the USA.
The Birth of Stetson Leather Hats
The story of Stetson leather hats begins in the mid-1800s with John B. Stetson. Born in 1830, Stetson was the son of a hat maker and learned the trade from a young age. After battling tuberculosis, he moved west to Colorado, where he crafted a unique hat from beaver fur felt. This hat, designed to withstand the harsh conditions of the American West, was the prototype of what would become the legendary Stetson hat.
Evolution Over the Years
Since its inception, the Stetson hat has evolved significantly. Initially known for the "Boss of the Plains" design, Stetson expanded its range to include various styles and materials, including leather. The company’s dedication to innovation and quality helped Stetson hats gain popularity among cowboys, ranchers, and outdoor enthusiasts. Today, Stetson leather hats are renowned for their blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern style.
The Craftsmanship Behind Stetson Leather Hats
The craftsmanship behind Stetson leather hats is a testament to the brand’s commitment to quality. Each hat is made with precision and care, involving multiple steps to ensure durability and style. Skilled artisans carefully cut and shape the leather, creating a hat that is both functional and fashionable. The attention to detail in the stitching, shaping, and finishing processes sets Stetson hats apart from the competition.
The Materials Used
Stetson uses only the finest materials for their leather hats. High-quality leather is selected for its durability and aesthetic appeal. The leather undergoes a meticulous tanning process to enhance its natural characteristics and ensure it can withstand the elements. This careful selection and preparation of materials are crucial in producing a hat that is not only stylish but also long-lasting.
Why Stetson Leather Hats Stand Out
Several factors make Stetson leather hats stand out in the market:
