while the entire Two Matty's part of the show is something i'm still mulling over because oh wow... something i did notice/find interesting/am still not sure what i want to say entirely is that the whole part takes place on grass.
if the entire s/atvb is in the House (and either it's the band coming over or matty being let inside at the beginning) then matty's essentially stepped outside into their yard. he's left the party/gathering to be outside with himself.
i'm not saying the idea is the band/House is ignoring him/casting him out, but it's that feeling of if/when you remove yourself... what are they supposed to do? in atvb (for consumption) matty was on stage alone (it's his house and they come in) but for satvb he leaves them (they're there first and he comes in the door) and then plays be my mistake...
now i'm just thinking about that framing of yes, matty is alone in both but how did he get to be alone. was he left or did he leave?
