One of the things about Imogen v Liliana that I can't stop thinking about tonight is that that the reason Imogen is able to resist the pull of Predathos so much more than her mama isn't really so much that Liliana has been telling her to run, anymore...It's more that Imogen has no illusions about herself or anyone else being specially equipped to resist the pull. Liliana has her delusions of being able to hold on to herself, of being able to influence Ludinus, of being able to protect Imogen. Meanwhile one of Imogen's closest friends has a proverbial knife to her throat, and she not only knows it but also accepts it as necessary. She immediately rejects Laudna telling her she's special, a savior, says without her, she'd be sucked in. She's taken every chance she can to say "the pull is strong" and she doesn't know if she can withstand it without help. She knows she's not too smart or good or special to be taken by it, that it's only her friends and circumstances that have kept her from giving in. She is strong against the cult because she knows she's vulnerable to it.

it's so many concepts that appeal to me. a little unassuming creature. the idea of mirages being the dreams of a creature at the bottom of the sea. the nebulousness of the concept of a "dragon". mirages and illusions in general

anyway this is all preamble to show u my son Mirage

im not a writer so i dont have a lot of plot or lore for him or anything but he IS entirely based off the concept of "deserts have mirages. oceans have mirages. the desert conjures up a mirage of the ocean"

I colour coded these again since I found it difficult to parse with all black text. I tried to pick four of the available colours that are easy to tell apart while avoiding red and green since that's the most common type of colourblindness. 2.1 update adding 5 new motorcycles and the ability to pop wheelies n throw knives off the back is quite possibly my favorite thing about it that and the fact you can finally listen to the radio out of the car, also love that people are so super excited over the metro system..the children hunger for public transport

you’d be surpriseddddd like…and honestly what i see most often isn’t even people defending her, it’s people arguing over her and hating on her just for “messing with msr” or as some love triangle bullshit that never even existed, completely missing the more sinister nature of her character. like i don’t even think a lot of people clocked so many of the things revealed about her, or remember them, because no one ever talks about her in a way that acknowledges it. she was never a threat to msr or some sort of siren to mulder, she was a part of the conspiracy. she was tracking and exploiting and violating women. she both genuinely cared about mulder, and had absolutely no hesitation lying to and endangering him, nor regard for his safety/autonomy.

and her character does have more depth than is discussed.

not to join the war on shipping on the wrong side because y’all know i love a love story but it really really bothers me when people can’t process a narrative outside of how it affects a ship.
