Thank you @sallysavestheday and @grey-gazania! I was eyeing this one and hoping for a tag, some great questions here.

1. How many works do you have on AO3? 51, although one's a podfic.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 250,683. More than half of which is from last year alone!

3. What fandoms do you write for? Currently exclusively the Silmarillion, with the occasional little LoTR ficlet.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos? the fairest stars, Inflection, an ancient song, all those that follow, Ilimbë. I'm always surprised by an ancient song's popularity – it was a pretty low-effort ficlet – but a solid list nonetheless!

5. Do you respond to comments? Yes, always! (Glances nervously at the pile I've accumulated in the last couple of weeks of travelling). I love replying to comments, though. It's so nice to be able to engage with all my lovely thoughtful readers and their excellent thoughts!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? ever an anguish that pursued is pretty bleak. before the black gale is also a tragedy of sorts, though I'm not sure that makes it qualify as angsty as such.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Ilimbë ends quite joyfully, although while writing the final scene I did have the shadow of their unhappy future in mind! I think the cleaving's ending is also quite happy, or at the very least cathartic.

8. Do you get hate on fics? No, thankfully! All my readers have been very kind and appreciative <3

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Three fics so far! All of which were gifts for friends, and made me push my boundaries a little. I'm proud of all of them, though! Smut is less scary than I used to think :)

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? No, never! If I did, it would probably be more of a retelling/AU than straight-up having characters from different fandoms meet.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Not to my knowledge!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No – I fear I am rather too much of a control freak for this, and would rather not inflict myself and my pedantry on an unsuspecting co-writer.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? Russingon... it's the forbidden romance and the doomed nature of it all and the fact that love wasn't enough to save them :( also the murders, of course.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? boats against the current, the "Maedhros doesn't swear the Oath" AU I blithely started back in 2022, is simply not going anywhere at any sort of speed. Perhaps this is the year! Let's see.

16. What are your writing strengths? Dialogue and characterisation! I'm good at emotional beats, I think.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Description... I tend to write VERY minimally and then have to go back on edits and add in some descriptive language so that the entire story isn't just two talking heads in an empty room. Always very pleased when people compliment my descriptions for that reason – they take conscious effort!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Fine if it's footnoted, I think. I tend to avoid it on the basis that all the dialogue I write has been "translated" from one of Tolkien's languages anyway; and I don't know any real languages well enough to write fic in them.

19. First fandom you wrote for? Harry Potter, although I've soured on the fandom now for obvious reasons :/ For a while I used to think that I could still enjoy the books I loved so much growing up while separating them from the author, but she's so continually hateful and bigoted that I just... can't gain any enjoyment from the franchise anymore. Which is painful, but I'm glad I have the silm fandom to absorb all my creative energy now!

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? the fairest stars! My weird gremlin baby, I love it so. I never expected to care about this fic as much as I did, but I've poured so much thought and heart into it that it was perhaps inevitable. And it's taught me so much about writing cliffhangers :)

as someone who only ever beat four swords adventures. can i hear the lore on why the newer games are annoying. if you dont want to get into it in public though i totally get it lol

OKAY SO LIKE. let me put this under a cut.

so me thinking the newer games are annoying is a personal thing. i'll put that out there to begin with. i completely understand why they're games that people love a lot—for people who like open-world games with lots of exploration and building shit and whatnot, and don't really care for games that have Plot and Stories and Meaning behind them, they're probably damn near perfect games.

but like. MY main problem with the games, specifically (which could be easily ignored if not for my MAIN BIG PROBLEM WITH THE FANDOM which i'll. get into after this), is that while i will concede that they may be Good Games to those who play them (i watched a playthrough of breath of the wild Once and am currently trying to get through it myself and not only am i bored to tears but i hate the art style and when i say the soundtrack fucking sucks. the soundtrack Fucking Sucks. like it is legitimately the WORST fucking game soundtrack i've ever heard in my LIFE which makes doing anything in the game absolutely unbearable to me) they are, absolutely, terrible ZELDA games.

the legend of zelda franchise for almost forty years now has built up a series dedicated not ONLY to exploration within the game, but also music and wonderful stories that each game tells. like pokémon, in its own way—but even in pokémon, when the story is bland (xy, swsh) or just plain bad (usum) you can always count on it to have a great soundtrack. breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom took both "plot" and "music" and just threw them out the window. the overworld music in breath of the wild is nothing except a few piano notes every five minutes. the battle music when you encounter an enemy is the most boring, lackluster shit i've ever heard in my life (AND THE MUSIC FOR THE BOSS BATTLES IS SOMEHOW EVEN WORSE). basically imagine pokémon legends arceus except instead of all the wonderful overworld music we got for all the different areas, you just have dead silence. that's pretty much what running around in breath of the wild is like.

and the story? get ready for the blandest characters you've ever met in your life. you will not get attached to a single one of those cardboard cutouts. anything that adds meaning to the story is locked behind paid DLC which automatically makes it not even worth my time or money. basically, breath of the wild was like "what if we took the original legend of zelda from 1986 and its sequel from 1987 and added modern mechanics to it. and throw in a new plot that isn't even worth getting attached to." i would literally prefer playing those old 2D games over that game. their plots were entirely constrained to the game manuals because they couldn't fit them into the actual games themselves because they were 80s games and they were STILL more interesting than botw/totk.

but whatever! it's not a big deal. i can ignore the games. it's not up to me to dictate what people should and should not play as part of a franchise. again, people love the games for a reason, and that reason is usually because breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom are like "what if legend of zelda but throw in some minecraft elements about it". like....okay. WHATEVER!

my problem is with the fandom. the Giant Portion Of The Fandom That Has Only Played BOTW and TOTK and NOTHING ELSE. you literally cannot escape it. you know the types of people that spam the tags of every game in their game series just to make EVERYONE look at their post about One Particular Game? yeah it's like a literal army of those people. i MAINLY stick to posting about the older games from the 80s/90s/early 2000s (i.e. four swords/four swords adventures, the original legend of zelda + its sequel, a link to the past, the minish cap, ocarina of time/majora's mask/etc etc etc you get me) and everywhere you look there's somebody doing everything in their power to bring botw/totk into it/spamming the tags with botw/totk posts/just spreading blatant misinfo regarding the older games???? because they've never played them???? and like whatever i can ignore that too but i mean!!!! at some point it just gets so ridiculously irritating!!!!!! basically it's like. do you know how the pokémon company keeps bringing kanto into literally every game somehow + will not stop with the charizard hype to the point where everyone is sick and tired of charizard. that's pretty much what's happening except it's botw/totk. and i am so tired of hearing about the metaphorical charizard HAHAHA

This is a piece inspired by our Nightmare Drosera and his backstory in To Cure A Glitch's Blues on AO3.

Hi! The quote said by Nightmare is by S.S.W. if you're curious. Yeah, we know we've been gone, but we had mental health stuff and we are back! Might be a little late for Nightmarch, but we can still post things for our story as we work on fleshing out characters before continuing.

This is our official Nightmare design for our fic, To Cure A Glitch's Blues―yes, we know the tag isn't quite right, same thing―in which Nightmare is not a skeleton or a spirit, but an Anthousai with the half power of his Hamadryad mother Nim. An Anthousai is a flower fae, not dissimilar to the Hamadryad in mythology in which a spirit would be born of a tree and live as long as the tree remained or its seeds did.

That brings up the question―what species is Drosera? Well, he is, of course, a Drosera or Sundew, a beautiful carnivorous plant that looks to be covered in glistening dew, thus the name. The second is the Rampion Bellflower or Creeping Bellflower, which is the inspiration behind the Tangled flower because of its name the Repunzel. We love the movie and the franchise, so we thought it'd be fun.

This particular plant is a deep brown/black stem with bioluminescent cyan blooms. Many of the original Drosera doesn't need pollinating, but we have something fun planned so the Bellflowers are the pollinating blooms and the Sundew are the carnivorous ones. You can see the curled-up Sundews on the end of his tentacles/vines, which can open if he needs them. Yes, Nightmare is carnivorous, and no, he doesn't have a monster soul, but a mangosteen-esque fruit at the center of his being that he protects with his very being. We call the species Drosera Lunaris, or the Lunarbloom.

Oh, and those aren't his bones.

1. How many works do you have on ao3?

just one right now but i think it's extremely good! i worked very hard for a long time on it. more of these queer feelings (https://archiveofourown.org/works/43759465/chapters/110039971) is a college AU of phyrexian praetors sheoldred and elesh norn! i also have a second that is very soon to be posted once beta is finished!

2. What’s your total ao3 word count?

currently 25,912 and yes i do know off the top of my head :3

3. What fandoms do you write for?

i don't know if i'll write more magic: the gathering but i would like to; beyond that baldur's gate 3 has had a huge impact on me in basically every creative work i do and i keep going back to it!

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

there is only just the one i've posted but i will take the opportunity to talk more about more of these queer feelings! it spawned from my girlfriend and i talking about phyrexian high school/college AUs and the fact that magic doesn't have a lot of canon disabled characters; i thought (in my opinion) sheoldred would not be able-bodied in a human au and it is essentially an exploration of two characters who are brutal and terrifying but who get to learn vulnerability if they are just normal humans on earth.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

i used to let my girlfriend and co-writer do all of this to remain aloof and cool but i've decided that everyone is cringe in the end and so every commenter will receive all my undying gratitude (as long as it keeps being a reasonable number.)

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

i think my current WIP, which is shadowzel ballet academy AU has a lot more potential for an angsty ending; shadowheart is pretty set from the start to be on a very limited clock to keep being able to dance and probably will not have any prospects to by the time it ends but i think negotiating the gap between expectations for the future and what reality brings you still has a lot of potential for growth and learning and self-acceptance so it's probably not going to be super brutal if i'm being honest. i like to give queer girls at least happy-ish endings if i can.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

in the middle of writing more of these queer feelings i decided i wanted the very end to be sheoldred and elesh norn, now happily girlfriends, saying they love each other but specifically because i want anyone who feels they relate to either character to know that they are loved and cherished if not immediately then at least through me, through the act of love of sharing parts of myself through my writing. the ending of that fic is about solidarity and love for queer women and disabled women and ND & mentally ill women. absolutely the most earnest happy ending i've ever written.

8. Do you get hate on fic?

i never have and hopefully never will but know this: if being a shadowzel blog means i am a karheart anti, i will take up arms in defense of what i believe is good and right.

9. Do you write smut?

haven't yet, probably won't, nothing against it, just isn't for me i don't think, for a number of reasons.

10. Do you write crossovers?

i find that a lot of my inspiration to write fic is in the intersection of a piece of media and the au i want to write. i don't know if college aus count as crossovers but while i haven't written anything including many media franchises, i think there is a transformation and a fitting-together of pieces that feels very similar in my great enthusiasm for a modern/period earth AU, which has been a lot of what i've written.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

no but i would be kind of honored, honestly. if what i've written is so good that someone else tries to put their name on it, i'm flattered! (uh but please don't though it's still probably bad ;-; my girlfriend said she would beat you up if you stole my writing.)

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

oh lord no, but the above answer times a thousand. if someone was to go to that effort i feel like i'd need to send them a special gift basket with seasonal fruits and everything.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

yes! more of these queer feelings was co-written from the very beginning with my now-girlfriend, and though i think we probably would have ended up together anyway by knowing each other, i don't think the writing process did anything at all to dissuade us from our mutual romantic interest.

14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

before bg3 i don't know if i would have had an answer, maybe like mailee or katara/yue or something but i didn't have particular ships i was super into. that being said, shadowzel has hit me full force and even when it isn't being nominated for goty those ladies are still going to be living rent-free in my head.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but probably won’t?

i've been messing around with some wolfic (FFXIV player character, for those unaware) that is probably either just for me or only to inform my roleplay in that game; i have a document but it's probably never getting posted anywhere. still, i think about it and add things sometimes.

16. What are your writing strengths?

i think images and ideas or concepts are my strong suit. i'll have ideas for characters or a scene or a description of something, and try to develop my writing around what i feel is a strong central idea.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

actual narrative structure and more traditional prose fiction skills are not where i developed my writing skills. my english literature education focused largely on poetry, and my extracurricular writing was almost all text-RP so there's a lot of stuff i haven't practiced.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

i am a mostly monolingual american and while i have retained some french from speaking it at home with family and from school, it's conversational and jokes at best. that being said if i can get a « qui me frappe avec ce poisson ? » in anywhere i will absolutely try.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

i don't want to talk about the atla OCs RP beyond "those happened, and for a lot of other fandoms as well" but more of these queer feelings was the first time i gave anything a serious go with the intention to produce something good enough i'd be proud to post it.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

i'm going to copy john darnielle and say of course i'm always the most invested in the new thing when i have something new i'm working on, so most of the thoughts i'm having are about hoping other people like shadowzel ballet AU because i'm proud of it, but queer feelings will always have a place in my heart. maybe it's trite but i think i've done a good job with the writing i've put serious effort into; i hope any readers think the same.

Oh my God, RWBY is so amazing because look what a little independent studio of nobodies was able to create! Ten years, nine volumes, four original video games, three video game collaborations, two runs of Japanese manga, and an anime made by Studio Shaft.

Well I'm glad that you're still so passionate about RWBY, Sunder. To be honest, I thought this was sarcastic at first.

But yeah, even if I don't find the manga or anime to appeal to me, you have to admit that having so many other people willing to work on the franchise that was made by a cool animator and two drunk interns from a studio whose last claim to fame was a Halo fanfic is pretty damn impressive.

I think the pinnacle of coolness from RWBY's collaborations will always be Cross Tag Battle for me. It showed me Blazblue and how cool and well respected those games are, to the point that I can't help but see how it influenced RWBY. So seeing a crossover between the two is just so cool to me. Though I haven't been able to play it for...silly reasons.

Though I can see why Ice Queendom is seen as the true big name accomplishment, given that most anime inspired shows can't claim to have been adapted BY a big name anime studio. And when I called it 'basically high profile Japanese RWBY fanfic'- that wasn't a negative. It's very clear the people working on Ice Queendom did love RWBY and want to add onto it, which really helped the end product. It would not have been well liked in the slightest if it was just a 'for hire' job.

And really, I understand why it's endured. It did get lucky being at the right place and at the right time with the boom of anime in the 2010's as well as the name recognition of Monty. But I've always found the writing to be the best part. The actions are cool but what really gives the action the kick has always been the context behind them. The context of Episode 8 being the final step for the show to truly begin with the dynamics of the main teams being set up as well as Ruby and Weiss working together to take down the Nevermore is a great example of classic but effective writing.

And that's kind of RWBY's writing in a nutshell. 'Classic but effective.' The characters aren't new, the setting has a unique mix but the elements are familiar, the themes are...really fucking old, the plot beats are your average 'world threatened, coming of age story'. But RWBY is an example of WHY these tropes and cliches exist. Ruby is compelling because everyone wants to be strong enough to endure the harshness of life, even if we know we can't always do it. Weiss shows that you can grow beyond just your family and be your own person. Blake speaks to a lot of cynics because deep down, so many of them WANT to believe in better things. And Yang shows a light at the end of the tunnel when things go south, that you can use your pain and mistakes as a basis for growth. These aren't new ideas but they're ENDURING ideas.

I may not be as passionate about RWBY as I once was, but I'm certainly respectful of the show. Because I think the writers and animators have a good grasp on why people like fiction. And you can't help but respect them and the show for it.

I love this fandom for what we bring to it - I am in love with versions of canon so much more character-driven and more interesting and the ONLY reason I'm still in this fandom is for the hcs and the fic and the fanart and the meta.

And yes that's one of the biggest saddest things about this whole issue. I talk to my friends about this sometimes, and she always beats down on the series for its writing problems while I have to say, like - no MATTER how good/bad it was. We loved it so very much because it was fun and magic was cool or maybe our friends liked it or whatever. Weird kids unite, or something. And now we can barely even touch that part of our childhood without feeling guilt over it. I always wanted to join Pottermore or play Hogwarts Legacy years ago when it came out, never ended up doing it. I always wanted to earn enough money to buy merch for myself and now I can't even bring myself to dig out my old kid's Harry Potter costume for halloween. I dreamt of having my own place someday or expanding the family with a list of books to introduce them to, like PJO, the hunger games, pride and prejudice, copper sunrise (and maybe sign of the beaver, I never finished it so I'm not too sure about that one), dianne wyne jones and liz kessler books, haikyuu manga, etc. I always - I always thought harry potter could be something I could hand down from my childhood to theirs, even pointing out the problems along the way. But I could never, anymore. No matter the work of thousands of people that have made the franchise what it is - all the movies, the merchandise, etc. - who put their love and time into harry potter that's just - yeah, radioactive now.

And all of this, too. I know enough about Ilvermorny to know I'd probably be a Thunderbird but as soon as I read about it's history I was just immediately like - nah, bro. No way. Absolutely no way their magic system works like that. The traditional european methods of schooling don't even make sense for nomadic tribes. In such a world you're assuming that there are already issues with colonisation and completely ignoring the prior existence and culture of their magic system. You had such an amazing, powerful chance to explore history and do indigenous cultures some modicum of justice, and you just ... didn't.

and, again - why go to the trouble of planning out an even WORSE answer to your worldbuilding problems? If she hadn't said anything, ppl would prob assume there's schools for every country, maybe more in the cases of indigenous tribes (esp in the great north) and larger population, highly ethnically diverse countries like india. instead, she went to the trouble of SPECIFYING that there are only 10 schools of magic. What, is the magical population that low? If yes, WHY? 2-layer worldbuilding, my guy. It's not an uncommon writing tip.

I just - it sucks. It sucks.

the thing that sucks most about Joanne Rowling being a terf is that she is actively hurting real life trans people every day.

the second worst thing about joanne being a terf is that the Harry Potter intellectual property is So Much Larger than her. look at the credits for just one of the harry potter movies. every single one of those people put YEARS of time and effort and dare i say love into those films. think of all the people involved in theme park design and operation who put together the wizarding world park lands and detailed them so lovingly and fully

sorry abt my last ask coming off as a little strong, the woh (especially masaru) are my favorite characters in the entire franchise and i get extremely defensive about characters i like. the anons that were saying kind of really horrible things about masaru and kotoko were what made me upset, so i do apologize. with that said, i still dont like that out of like 25 anons, one of them was trying to reason. whenever child characters do something wrong, i feel like people should at least try to explain to them what they did was wrong and why, and especially in the masaru anon’s case, it almost worked. if masaru didn’t think he was going to be yelled at, he probably would have gone and apologized after that anon, why not just help the other 3 too? if you went to nagisa and explained “hey yes you are very right to feel bad about these adults you hurt and the children, and while i do understand your point, if you wanna be forgiven and are actually sorry for what you did, maybe you should go apologize to the people you hurt and deal with the consequences”, then he could probably understand what went wrong and do what’s right. and masaru anon answer, again, if you tell him “hey they wont yell at you we can tell them not to” i bet you anything he will go and apologize. also, i do NOT like that the first thing they thought to do with the woh is execution. get them therapy, make them apologize, do all of this but don’t kill the kids, dude. i wanna give that one ‘dont kill them bcs then they’re martyrs” anon credit for what they said, ty ilysm. this is getting long and im probably gonna think of more bs to yell about later, but my closing thoughts are that i really hope future foundation changes their minds and just gets them therapy and stuff. Update: after reading more theories from fellow RM bloggers, and sleeping over it one day, this entire chapter might be an april fools... Don't fully lose hope yet beautiful people. It's me just giving a review on a possible fake April fools chapter

After following this franchise since 2013, so nearly a DECADE. this ending is a pure disserve to the entire fandom. I feel like Yams has rushed it just for the sake of being done with the entire manga. So many things are left open, characters and their developemt are reverted back all the way to chapter 1 or are left even worse than that...

Mikasa’s worthless character development/ Aaronmika’s horrible toxic codependent relationship 

Oh honey... Let’s start with how horrible Isayama has treated her. We were all rooting for her, because we all felt like she was so misunderstood. She had a horrible childhood and imprinted on a guy who treated her like trash 99 percent of the story. And then, slowly but surely, she starts to realize she has to stop obsessing over him in the uprising arc with the help of a real man who treats her like a queen, more importantly, he treats her like a real human being. This man sees her for her abilities and that she has the power to be self dependent. She learned parts of herself, that she was able to work together with him like no one else could.  She learned parts of herself she was unable to do so if she kept obsessing about Aaron. All this love, care, mutual understanding and RESPECT these two shared. 

but...NAH FUCK THAT, right Yams?? Throw all this development away, all this bonding. Let’s make the main female lead even more yandere than she already was in the first season. Let her make out with his decapacitated head (like dude, this is also pure disrespect to Aaron’s dead body btw) and let her obsess even more about the guy who has treated her no better than a piece of toilet cloth 99 percent of the time. The guy who was never really appreciative in front of her for saving his ass billions of times, who always pushed her away, who yells at her and snaps at her whenever he can instead of reasoning and talking calmly with her in mature way. Then after all that, suddenly Yams tries to last minute persuade us Aaron’s always been head over heels for her???  He should have build their relationship better which he hasn’t even tried to do so... He must be thinking his fans are stupid for eating this from his hands.    

Like seriously??? What is this??? 

Isayama is just fully contradicting himself. It’s like someone tipped him off with a buttload of money for him to write Aaron like this to satisfy shipping needs and to cash in those extra money’s from it. Even if he tried to cater to Erem*ika, this is not how you write a loving and caring couple which people will root for. 

This next two panels just freaking infuriates me to the core of my soul. I can’t even describe how dissapointed I am with Mikasa. 

Why is she clutching that head so obsessively like that?  Why is she walking and turning her back away from her comrades? After everything they have done for her, after all they’ve been through?! After everything Armin has done? Standing up for Mikasa, beating up Aaron for hurting her. I feel like even Jean, Connie and Sasha have cared more for her in a healthy way.  Sure, Aaron cares for her romantically too apparently (What a twist Yams :)), but has he aided her to becoming a mentally healthier individual? Has he aided in her mental stability? The answer is a big fat NO!  All I see between these two after today’s raw Chapter’s are too Yandere obsessed individuals who have no clue on how to maintain a healthy relationship. 

Love should only go as far as the heart can endure and it seems like her character is not willing to be aware of that. Even Armin was able to let go of Aaron in those latest panels. Why does her entire character resolve around this guy??? I really do not understand. Her Ackerbond and her age is not an excuse for her to throw her life away like this. 

Shonen’s disgusting portrayal of women 

I’ve seen this countless of times in the many years I’ve watched anime. SasuS*ku from Naruto, Ichih*me from Bleach, Shinji and that oranged hair girl from Neon Evangelion.. Why do these women get decreased to simpletons with one single goal? And that is to obsess over a bland male lead who either treats them like trash or doesn’t notice them up until the last last chapter (LITERALLY WHAT YAMS HAS DONE). Some go even as far as the male leading wanting the kill the female love interest and yet the female lead is still in love with them???. It’s disgusting for him to write the MAIN female character this way. 

It’s dissapointing we believed in Isayama doing Mikasa’s character right. That she’s finally being able to let go of her codependency and to live for herself maybe live in Hizuru and find more about her roots???, but every single time she shows some improvement, it’s burried deep in the ground again by the Author. It almost seems like a lowkey kink of some of the male Mangaka’s to write about a girl obsessing over them no matter what. I see this so many times to the point that I truly stand behind it that some of them might have this fantasy. 

I wished he didn’t portray her last panels like this. Everyone else is living their lives while Mikasa is still grieving about him. I’m not saying she’s not allowed to grieve and everyone takes it at their own pace, but cmon... Show her living her life too. This is too much. Her being next to his grave and grieving him as her last panels just shoves it in our faces that YET AGAIN, BEING OBSESSED WITH AARON IS ALL HER CHARACTER STANDS FOR. 

I truly despise how Isayama handles her grieving, kissing his decapacitated head, carrying it around like some handbag, and her last panels being thissss.

The world leaving Paradis alone miraciously after all that??? 

It’s so weird and out of place with so many political feuds and disagreements between the world and Paradis, the entire Rumbling happening and we can see Mikasa just chilling outside in Paradis with no one bothering them. You can see the rings of the walls in the picture below.�� I don’t know the exact reason behind as the manga is still in Korean, but from what I see, the story went the route of: throwing a happy ending without enough proper reason and  it was all fixed just like that in a snap! It doesn’t fit the entire narrative of attack on titan for things to be so peacful out of nowhere. When it comes to the narrative, how things work in that world, how hard it is to achieve peace, everything made somewhat sense up until chapter 138. 139 seems so so out of place...  It’s like I’m reading a chapter from a totally different manga. 

Aaron Yoghurt got defeated so easily/ Aaron’s character assassination

The build up on the first part of the rumbling was great, those kids carrying coins. You could feel humanity’s fear and Aaron’s hatred in those pages. As if he truly had a goal and he has turned away completely from his comrades and his closest friends with no return. The world seemed truly doomed, but he  got defeated just like that. He was in the nape all this time (because screw the warhammer power of hiding yourself elsewhere in his ginormous titan body). There is no master plan as we all expected, and in the end he just acts all yandere in the paths with Armin and that’s it... They massacared his entire character as well. Many fan theories created a better ending with his character. Him being reincarnated as Historia’s baby would be so much better. For him to still keep on seeking and to strive for power. It has always been his motive. It’s his personality from the start until chapter 138. Even if things are okay, to keep on going and to seek that adventure, but then.. He’s so weak and directionless suddenly.. It’s so weird... This is not Aaron at all???

Historia’s baby 

The only panel we got from Historia’s child was this. Just a normal kid, normal life... Why did Isayama put so much effort in highlighting Historia’s pregnancy if it was nothing too spectacular anyway? It seemed he had major plans for this kid and for their development too??? It’s again, big plans, big developments, big relationship dynamic, but all  got thrown out of the window... 

Don’t read the next sentence if you are a minor :’) 

It’s like almost ejaculating, but stopping right before it and repeating that every single Arc.

My energy when writing about this chapter is the same as Nostalgia Critic and his hatred for atla the live action

In Conclusion...

I know us fans should not be deciding on how this story should end, because this is Isayama’s story after all, but I truly wished for him to wrap up things much more rounded. There are so many unanswered questions... Again, I think for the sake of being done with this manga, he rushed all of it. He’s become a millionaire from this story and now his pockets are jammed full, I guess he doesn’t need to put in any effort anymore, right? Perhaps a controversial opinion, but I really wished he cared for his fans a little bit more with this last chapter by giving some answers that make sense at least. It’s his fans who gave him this platform and the opportunity to tell his story and for him to at least give in a bit of effort especially in the last chapter is the least he can do. Rivamika being canon or not, he truly rushed it without thinking much about the entire story line. He expanded it so much, he didn’t know how to bind it all together.

Even after all this, I’ll still ship them in the headcanon type of way. I do give credit to Isayama for giving us a template for such a beautiful dynamic between Levi and Mikasa. He decides to waste it, but that doesn’t mean we have to.  I want to thank all the people with amazing writing skills, the ones who give us beautiful art like @carmenlee @phit chan @vialesana​ and many more. I want to remind all of you that we can create something beautiful of our own and we don’t neccesarily need canon lore for that. The art I’ve seen, the fanfictions I’ve read have touched me deeper than Isayama ever could at times.The Mikasa in our mind is appreciate of Levi, is mature, classy and has a strong will for herself. They spend their remaining days together peacefully. Keep writing, keep drawing, stay creative.

REMINISCING ABOUT THE SIMS

SHARE HOW YOU DISCOVERED THE SIMS FRANCHISE & THE VERY FIRST SIMS GAME YOU PLAYED  (E.G. TS2)

Let's see, the first time I saw The Sims game was in an Office Depot store around 2002. I went with my husband to buy computer stuff.

At that time I only played Tomb Raider, and I was always looking for a new TR game, but then I found The Sims De Luxe... The pictures on the box caught my eye. You know, I'm an adult, well over 30 at that exact time, but as a child I always liked paper dolls, barbies and dollhouses, and I liked to make stories while playing, so I thought The Sims would be something similar, but for people my age, lol. So I didn't think twice and bought The Sims not knowing that this purchase would change my life completely.

At the beginning I just played (no storytelling). One of my first sims was called Johnny Dreams (which was a sim with Johnny Depp's face, imagine that). Remember in The Sims 1 you could literally paste the face of an artist to your sim, almost all my sims were famous people, but Johnny was the first one, lol.

Chatting with my sister one night, I told her about The Sims and what happened in my game. She knew how much I love to write so she told me: 'Why don't you write a story with all that happens to your sims?' And I said: 'That's not a bad idea!' But I didn't immediately start cause at that time I was writing a novel.

That's how I discovered The Sims and which was the very first sims game I played. If you are interested in what happened when The Sims 2,3 and 4 arrived in my life, continue reading under the cut, just be warned it's a veeery long story.

When The Sims 2 came out I became obsessed with taking pictures of my game, thought I could make stories out of them and share them with other players. So I joined a forum and introduced my sims there. Before I knew it, I had my own story thread with lots of views and comments. Unfortunately, in 2009 I had problems in that forum so I had to leave after almost five years of activity.

Then came The Sims 3, with its open world, and its thousands of possibilities. And - not immediately - but it got me.

A friend and I had promised that we would never stop playing The Sims 2, that The Sims 3 would never replace it, but TS 3 was too good to be true! My friend wouldn't accept it despite the novelty of the open world, he thought nothing could beat TS2, so he would stick with it.

I was still fond of my Sims 2 characters, it was hard for me to leave them cause you know how you get attached to your sims, and they were already 3 generations. I tried to create them in TS3, but it didn't work, so I thought it was better to create new characters and stories in The Sims 3. Those characters grew on me and I ended up getting attached to them.

That's how, around 2011, I started the foundations of the 6-generation game that I'm still playing, from which my main story From the Desert to the City as well as my other stories were born.

I still wanted to share my photos and stories, but I was no longer in the forum (plus that forum didn't exist anymore), so, in 2013 approximately I started my blog Los Sims de Ana (Blogger, in Spanish), which I managed at the same time as MyPage in the site thesims3.com where I had made some new friends with whom I shared the Memories of my game. It was precisely this TS3 Memories option what gave me the idea of publishing photos of my game in real time. That's how my story " The Travels and Adventures of Tony Langerak" emerged. The blog also included downloads of my sims and an occasional tutorial. Some of my friends from thesims 3.com. subscribed and used to leave kind comments. For about a year everything worked great for Los Sims de Ana. But then...

Yes, The Sims 4 arrived, and all my (few) subscribers left to go play the shiny new game. I bought it myself, tried to play it, like really tried, but something didn't feel right so I immediately went back to The Sims 3 and then later on I made me a Tumblr account to continue sharing stories and gameplay with other TS3 fans.

In 2018 I tried to go back to The Sims 4, recreating my TS3 characters, but it turned out to be a disaster. I stopped playing it for good in October 2019. I haven't opened it since, except to do the updates and see that everything works fine.

Don't get me wrong, TS4 is quite entertaining, and the characters funny, but I feel like its style doesn't go with my stories, (cause for me the game isn't just about playing but about making stories!) It's a shame, but TS4 just didn't work for me.

Around that time I repurchased the complete collection of The Sims 3 on Steam and said goodbye to Origin. Since then I've played The Sims 3 exclusively while I wait for The Sims 5, although I don't have high hopes for the latter.

Now, that's all. Sorry for the wall of text. I'm not tagging anyone cause I think everybody has already made this post, but if any of my mutuals hasn't and wish to do so, consider yourself tagged. 😊

So, on further thought (buckle up, this is probably not going to make a lot of sense and will confuse us both), Alice, from the live action Resident Evil movies, excluding the newest rendition, was best gorl.

If you wish to keep going, more under the button. *Wink, wink, nudge nudge* (It's not.... interesting, let's be honest.)

Like, the movies themselves weren't the best. There's a lot of stuff in them that aren't realistic. They aren't complex or heavily themed even. But Alice, between every single other main character in the franchise, did pretty well for herself.

Out of all of the main heroes in the franchise, Alice kind of got stuck in the situation and felt she had to solve the problem herself. All of her problems stemmed from Umbrella, and particularly that one doctor who's name I do not recall and I will not be looking it up. The one that has a big hard on for her.

Now, remember, I haven't played through the games. (I physically cannot. It makes me sick.) But I am watching my sibling play them. They've beat the first one as Chris and are now playing as Jill. I've also read a lot of information about the characters on Re Wiki.

And I have to say, some of them make some not very bright choices. I don't know a lot about Claire yet but Leon and Chris aren't.... bright. And Ethan, due to his circumstances to be fair, isn't bright either. The girls have it a bit better, I feel. But even they don't make a whole lot of smart choices. (I get that this is probably a product of the game type. Herding into certain choices and making dumb choices for the jump scare.)

This is still all coming from someone not as deep into the games as she would like to be to make a good, solid opinion on this. But I think, out of all of the heroes, she was one of the smartest. At least, she was making some of the smartest choices. A lot of her choices were reactionary. Not a lot of preventative choices. And she made decent ones. Even if they didn't work out in the end.

Also, I'd react a lot like she does in several of the movies if I, too, thought it was over and then it all came back to bite me in the ass again. Several times. (Really, that doctor's obsession. It is creepy. And the allegory, even if it isn't on purpose, to how women are treated by men they've just met and are after one thing is on point and.... a little to real.)

So, yeah. Alice is best gorl. She got a pretty short end of the stick and she reacted pretty well with what she got. I think they could do a lot with her, even in the games if they so pleased to bring her in. (Copyright laws allowing) I'm a little disappointed that we've only got the last Alice movie left to watch. I think she really could be a good focus in a game or something of that sort. Or more focus at least in the fandom spaces. (Though, I am still new here too. I might just be in the wrong tags for that. But honestly, I'd like to see her used more with Chris and Leon and Claire and Jill, BSAA and DSO. Because she had such wasted potential.)

Though, watching my sibling play through the game now as Jill and the way Rebecca was treated through Chris' walk through, I really do not apricate the 'eek save me' mentality the girls have. They're the only women on a special task force that has been around for two years at the start of the game. Like, come on. They should be better than that.

As the November/December fervor that was New Music, holiday one-shots, and Twelfth Night is starting to die down (it’s not dying down just yet, I know, because starting Friday I’ll be posting every day until 1/5, but it’s fine shhh), I wanted to present some of my other fic ideas to y'all, and let you guys pick what you'd like to see next!!! Whichever one(s) of these I wind up writing, I'll be working on planning the New Music sequel while I do! I’m also going to put ballpark ratings (based on what I have planned/the image I have rattling around in my head of the fic idk)

So here are my current fic/AU ideas that I have rattling around in various stages of planning, in no particular order of personal preference:

1) Yo Ho Hero: Space Pirates AU. Think: Newsies characters, (grittier) Treasure Planet aesthetic, Star Wars planet-hopping, and an embarrassing amount of plot from the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything movie. Jack, Race, and Elmer are plucked out of their ordinary lives and thrust into a whole new world as unlikely heroes when Princess Katherine is captured by a wicked pirate. They join the crew of Prince Crutchie and his mage Davey to rescue Katherine and defeat the evil Captain Mechno-beard. (Rated K+-T because... they’re pirates. It’s going to get violent at times, but I don’t intend for it to be like gory or anything.)

Main Characters: Jack Kelly, Elmer Kasprzak, Race Higgins, Crutchie Morris, Davey Jacobs

Supporting Characters: Spot Conlon, JoJo de la Guerra, Specs, Romeo, Skittery

Minor Characters: Sarah and Les Jacobs, Katherine Pulitzer, Buttons Davenport, Albert Dasilva, Snyder, probably others IDK I haven’t finished planning.

2) The Green Fields of France: beginning in canon-era, a look at the lives of Elaine, Mush, and Finch, along with their descendants. Mush and Finch go off to war and never come back. Years later, Elaine finally learns what happened to them. (This one is entirely self-indulgent, I won't lie) (Rated K+. No adult themes, that I’m planning on, but there will be talk of war and dying. Nothing graphic, but just to be safe)

Main Characters: Elaine O’Dell (OC), Charlie O’Dell (OC)

Supporting Characters: Race Higgins, Albert Dasilva, Crutchie Morris, JoJo de la Guerra, Mush Meyers, Finch Cortez

3) {unnamed modern!academia!AU}: Albert transfers to a new grad school and meets a collection of... interesting people, not the least of which is the enigmatic Race Higgins. Follows them and their friends on a wide variety of adventures over several years as they work on their degrees. Theoretically, several slow burns all at once because I intend for this to be very long and a little over-dramatic. Also, it’s kind of an Indiana Jones/Jurassic Park/Stargate AU all at once don’t ask it just seemed like fun. (Rated T. Moderate adult themes, including alcohol, minor violence, dinosaur violence, alien/sci-fi violence, potential “hooking up”. IDK. They’re adults. Who knows what they’re going to get up to. Again, nothing graphic/explicit/everything will be pretty much glossed over but it will also be there.)

Main Characters: Race Higgins, Albert Dasilva, Mush Meyers, Finch Cortez, Elaine O’Dell, JoJo de la Guerra, Buttons Davenport

Side Characters: Elmer Kasprzak, Davey Jacobs, Sniper Wah, Crutchie Morris, Jack Kelly, Spot Conlon, Tommy Boy, Henry Butler

Minor Characters: Specs, Smalls, Sarah Jacobs, Katherine Pulitzer, probably a lot more honestly if this turns out as long as I think it will, assorted characters from other franchises

4) Shakespeare: canon-era. Maire O'Connell comes from an immigrant family with an abusive father. She becomes a newsie to try and get her siblings away from him, but it's hard. Set in a world more like the 92sies movie than the musical. (Rated K+-T for Maire’s father and the Delancey brothers beating people up)

Main Characters: Maire O’Connell (OC), Jack Kelly, Davey Jacobs, Spot Conlon, Race Higgins, Sarah Jacobs

Side/Minor Characters: other newsies we’ll see who comes up

5) A Midsummer Night's Dream: unsurprisingly based on the title Part 3 of the Modern!Theatre!AU. Jack and Crutchie are still working at the World Theatre and living with Elaine and her brothers. March 12, 2020, their whole world changes. It is a summer of life-altering realizations as they all learn more about themselves and each other and hopefully become better people for it. Yes, this is the COVID quarantine one. Very gay. (Rated K. It’s just soft.)

Main Characters: Jack Kelly, Crutchie Morris, Elaine O’Dell (OC), Alan O’Dell (OC), Alden O’Dell (OC)

Side Characters: Davey Jacobs

Minor Characters: Anyone else who’s come up in As You Like It or Twelfth Night (which I know I haven’t published and have hardly written at this point it’s fine) is fair game, but won’t be appearing much because... quarantine.

6) {unnamed fairy tale AU}: This is literally only a vague idea, but I’m thinking something along the lines of Once Upon a Time, incorporating lots of different fairy tales/themes??? I’m thinking sort of the vibe of the Spiderwick Chronicles meets the Hobbit, with elements of Peter Pan/general changeling child legends and Irish mythology. Very mystical. IDK. If this is the one y’all want to see, it’ll probably take longer to start posting, because I’ll have to do more planning (unlike the others, which I have at least a little bit of planning done for, I have very little of even a concept for this one, it just seems like fun). (Rated ??? because who knows)

The Color Purple

This movie was so good, it showed so many messages and I almost cried during half of it. If you don't know, I don't cry during movies. So the fact that this almost made me cry speaks volumes.

The Incredible Hulk

This was my first ever superhero movie, I watched it for the first time when I was 4. I remember I absolutely loved it. Marvel and DC in general helped me get through a tough time when I was little, so I will always cherish it.

The Shining

One of my first horror movies and also one of the movies that got me so into the horror genre. Now I'm obsessed, so thanks Stephen King. I really loved how they built Jack's fall into madness. It still gives me chills today, whenever I get the chance to rewatch it.

Hacksaw Ridge

This is one of my favorite war based movies ever. I really loved how they showed the progression of everyone slowly starting to apperciate and understand why the main character refuses to harm others. I loved seeing how determined he was to prove his point and just be aloud to go about being a soldier his own way.

Mulan

I serious love this movie. She is my favorite Disney princess and one of the first animations I have watched. She really inspired me and I love her whole story. She is very brave for going to war in place of her father. She's strong and beautiful. I absolutely love her and the message her movie is trying to spread.

Rocky

Oof! So, I love the whole franchise. I've watched all the movies and even the Creed ones. I love him so much, and not just because he's known as the Italian Stallion. He's literally the coolest! I've always wanted to do boxing because of him, even though I know I hate sports. He just really inspires me and I watched the entire franchise with my brother, so there are memories with it.

This is my crap, Bella's! I love this movie so much! I used to watch it with my family all the time! I'm really into all genres of movies (horror and comedy being my ult most favorite), and SciFi is 100% awesome to me. This is my favorite SciFi movie, and I absolutely love it to death! Lots of memories with this one too!

Fear (1996)

Picture this: You're five years old, it's late at night, and you're watching TV with your mom at your old childhood home. She turns to a movie which you don't really catch the name of, cause you don't care. You just wanna watch something scary! She says it's scary and proceeds to change the channel to the channel the movie is on. You sit there with your mother, not quite seeing what she finds so interesting about it, until the main guy jumps out of his car and beats the living shit out of this girl's friend for talking to her. You go 'ooooooh'. Suddenly, you're invested. You tense up when he punches himself in the chest over and over again. You are at the edge of your seat when he breaks into the girl's house and it's a huge stake out between him and the girl's dad. You are now introduced to the new topic Yandere. You're confused, but absolutely intrigued. Loved this movie! It's absolutely amazing!

The Jurassic Park

This movie franchise was so cool! I loved it so much! I love dinosaurs and the prospect of someday bringing them back(I don't think we should, seeing as how the movies always turn out) but it's still a fascinating idea! I really love the newer Jurassic movies too, but the first three are my favorite simply because they were my first!

The Outsiders

I REALLY loved the book. I read it and I absolutely fell in love with the characters and the plot. S.E. Hinton did a phenomenal job when writing this masterpiece. It really struck me and made me think about how I should be happy with all the things I have, and be grateful for everything I've been given. The movie was good too! Just preferred the book better simply because it struck my heart strings.

Sure! Don't mind if I do!😊 *tag team hand slap* Including everything "movie-robotnik-positivity" listed, here's all the things I'm positive and excited about for Sonic 2:

🔵THE CINEMATOGRAPHY~ Everything I've seen so far via trailers has me HYPED! From the angles of the fights between Sonic and Knuckles to the special effects of the characters powers and the Chaos Emerald (or Master Emerald🤷🏾‍♀️) to the different locations we get to see these characters interact in. The Snowy Mountains, Angle Island, Mushroom Hill, and Hawaii. The visuals in this movie is gonna be one for the books! The cinematic universe has expanded so much. It's very clear that the first movie walked so the sequel could RUN.

🟡THE ACTION~ Seeing Knuckles beating up Sonic on sight was soooo satisfying! I'm certain most of us are aware of Sega not utilizing Knuckles' strength and significance to its fullest potential in recent years, but this rendition of Knuckles really reminded me who he is. Knuckles strength matches Sonic's speed and he did not come here to play. It's been a while since he last put the hurt on somebody and it's been a LONG while since Sonic and Knuckles scrap so I'm looking forward to this. These fights are gonna be epic!

Also, I want to see what Tails can do in these high tension moments. Tails is more than just brain. History shows that he can carry his own in a fight. (😤DONT SAY IT! I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE ABOUT TO TYPE. NOBODY SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THAT. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE MOVIE!😤) It seems that he does get injured at some point on the snowy mountains, but in the latest trailer with Sonic driving Tom's police car, it looks like he about to get serious.

🔴THE MARKETING~ Paramount put their foot into promoting this movie! It's beautiful to see all these posters in their glory! Not to mention the use of red, blue, and yellow signifying what (and who) this movie is gonna be about.

🔵THE MYSTERY~ Not only are we anticipating what we're going to see in THIS movie, we're anticipating what this means for the Sonic cinematic universe! It has been confirmed that we are getting a third movie AND a Knuckles series. But the question is, how are they gonna set this up? There are so many possibilities!

The first movie ends with Sonic sending Robotnik to the Mushroom planet and making a home with Tom and Maddie. How will this movie end? It's clear that Robitnik will be defeated since, y'know, it's a kids movie. However, one thing about Robotnik is that he always comes back. What is he gonna plan this time? Is Sonic still gonna stay on Earth? Will Tails join him? What will happen to Knuckles when all is said and done? Are we going to see more Sonic characters in the mix???

Speaking of Knuckles, when and where does his series take place? Before or after his encounters with Dr. Robotnik and Sonic? I'm super optimistic for the future of this franchise!

There are plenty of people in all types of movie genres that have presumptuously dunked on movies before they debut. Why? I don't know. However, I just let them talk, because talk is cheap, and allow the box office results and feedback from the people who are passionately invested in the movie justify its existence. 💯

Hey sorry to be a bother but I just stumbled upon some posts hating on Sonic Movie 2 and now I’m in a bad mood because I hate seeing negativity for this movie I love so much.

I would REEEEEALLY appreciate if you made a little list of everything you’re positive about this movie to give some good vibes

I know the feeling, friend. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I would never attack someone over it, but seeing negativity for something you love can be a huge bummer.

This sequel seems like it's gonna have a lot of things going for it, but here's some positive things off the top of my head, without delving into spoilers:

- Knuckles' portrayal is so refreshing! He's a stoic and badass warrior with a strength that rivals Sonic's speed. This is a return to form for Knuckles and just what the character needed.

- Despite my previous worries, it seems like Tom and Maddie still play an important role in the story. I'm so excited to see them and Sonic interact like a proper family.

- THE LORE! The first movie barely planted the seeds, but now we're going all in! The echidnas, the owl tribe, the Master Emerald...we might finally learn what Sonic's powers ARE and where they came from.

- The cinematography from what we've seen so far is stunning! Leaps and bounds above what the first movie had. Seriously, never expected a Sonic movie to look THIS good!

- The prospect of seeing Sonic and Tails meeting from the first time and becoming brothers is already a dream come true. Getting Colleen as Tails is also A+ casting.

- Seeing Robotnik's evolution from goverment scientist to absolutely insane supervillain is exciting! Without going into spoilers, this movie is giving Jim Carrey so much more to work with compared to the first film.

- The budget is WAY up so we're getting more locations, more crazy setpieces and action! The first movie had a simple story, this one feels a lot more grand and epic.

- This movie just feels so authentically Sonic. I'm not saying the first one wasn't a proper Sonic movie (like other people have said), this sequel just seems to capture the essence of this franchise so well: the action, the lore, the endearing cheesiness...they're embracing the ambitious craziness of the series rather than being ashamed of it (like certain comic book movies).
