Steven and Luz. After a thousand and one tries, I’m finally able to exaggerate character’s expressions through actual eyes.

This is a little practice I tried putting into their design. If you want, I can add a little context. There’s no actual story. I just think it would be neat if the character were to explore caves and end up being lost. And somehow, their powers join together to create this illuminating light. With Steven’s gem powers and Luz’s glyph’s, it creates this sort of majestic compass. I think about their powers combining to help them lead the way, at time when they are lost.

Sadly, this is not a color in. I’m starting to lean into the animatic style that a lot of videos use.

Fusion AUs?

Ya know what I want? Random One shot fics about AUs where people can use fusion(SU type) inspite of the shows laws and physics. Like how lots of people make Soulmate/soulmark AUs.

Have Velma, the skeptic of Mystery Inc occasional Fuse with Shaggy to escape from potential panick attack inducing situations( these guys have repeatedly faced grown adults you go out of their way to get what they want, you can't tell me these guys haven't gotten lots of trauma) inspite of fusion being a clear magical ability.

-(another scooby-doo one) Give me Mystery Inc fusing because someone just hurt scooby doo badly.

Give me Harley and Ivy having a discussion about whether they should become a Permafusion or not.

-(another DC one) give me all of Bruce's love interests(Diana, Talia, Selina) arguing and Barbara(Minerva, aka cheetah, whos there because she was just captured by Diana) suggest that they all fuse if they all want Bruce so much(that includes Barbara herself, because of Justice league unlimited, and alot of us do love WonderCheetah as well).

Give me Alya and Marinette fusing because they got caught up in an Akuma attack and Marinette can't get away and transform so she needs to fuse with and save Alya.

-(another miraculous one) give me Adrien learning about Fusion out of nowhere because of the events of the previous one, and him struggling to figure out how to do it(maybe have him angst a bit with the idea he might just, not be able to fuse at all!) But then, he figures it, hugging Nino and fusing into Adrino. Though, Chloe does call Adrino, Audino, like the pokemon, as a joke.

Give me Usopp and Kaya being a Permafusion and finding out about Kuro years before Luffy and the others show up, plus how and why Kaysopp joins the crew!

-(another one piece one) Give me Katakuri and most of his siblings fusing to finally overthrow their mother!

Give me something! Anything! I've only found two fanfictions where character have this ability! One was a RWBY one where Ruby got a ruby gemstone that just let her do fusion with others, and another in One Piece where Ds can use fusion and basically pass it on to the others they fuse with!!!!

Give me something that just, changes the dynamics of characters because the presence of fusion just mixes everything up! Some characters aren't present because they are fusions and therego have a different effect on the story!

August is my birthday month and it hosts my favorite event ever which is……. AU-gust!

Yeah…. none is surprised, right? Like 99% of my fics are AUs, lol.

Anyway! This year I'm going to do a mash-up between @augustwritingchallenge, @steddieangstyaugust, and @aug-kissed!

A idea I just thought of

A steven universe rp I just thought of. Takes place during and after Future. Probably after still a work in progress idea.

Some gems want the diamonds and homeworld to return to what it once was.So a colony of gems, some willing and some by force decided to start a new colony.

A secret colony but it's missing one thing. A diamond. So some gems steal the diamonds and Steven's tears to make a new diamond.

A diamond so powerful that no one could stop it.

This new diamond will take home back and restore the gem empire to it's former glory.

Glow week day 2: Surprise

Thanks Lion!

The sun is setting on the horizon as Connie returns home from work. She's exhausted from the long day and can't wait to have some dinner and watch a movie or show with her sweet, wonderful, amazing, boyfriend. He's been such a rock for her during the first few months of her new job and all the stresses that go along with it.

“Hey Biscuit I'm home!” She calls as she enters the house, hanging her keys near the door.

“Hey.” He says quietly.

Connie frowns, usually he greets her with a little more enthusiasm, like an energetic puppy. Instead he's in their small kitchenette, leaning with his elbows on the counter, and staring downward, eyes unfocused.

“Everything alright hon?” She asks as she approaches.

“Hm? Yeah I guess…” a slight scowl crosses his features, “I've just been feeling off lately. My mood's been all over the place. I'm tired, like, all the time. I'm a little achy…”

Trying to lighten the mood Connie replies, “If you were craving weird foods, I'd think you were pregnant!”

Instead of laughing or snickering like she expected, panic starts to crawl across Steven’s face.

“I have been craving weird foods! Oh my stars, I'm pregnant!” Steven starts panicking, breaths picking up and a light flush appears across his face.

“Steven. C’mon. You can’t be pregnant.” Connie deadpans as he continues panicking.

“I'm part gem! Maybe I could be! Anything's possible.” The flush spreads further across his face, he starts shifting around anxiously, “I'm too young to be a mom!”

Connie is at a loss. How does she calm down a completely panicked, half gem man who, apparently, has no idea how pregnancy works?

“Steven.”

He stops his panicked rambling and slight shifting from foot to foot for a moment and looks carefully at her.

“I'm too young to be a mom… but you're not…”

Connie looks at him like he's grown a second head, “Steven, wha-”

“A CAT MOM THAT IS!” He exclaims as he hops out from behind the counter and peels a small calico kitten off his sweatpants, holding her out to Connie.

She snorts, then laughs, practically falling to the floor as she's completely lost in a deep belly laugh. He'd set this whole thing up! Pretending to be sad, then panicking just to reveal… a kitten!? She can't take it, he's such a goof!

He grins at her as he holds up the cute little calico trying to chew on his fingers. Connie stands, as her laughter subsides, and takes the kitten from him to snuggle in her arms.

“Is your leg okay?”

Steven flushes a little in embarrassment, “Oh yeah I'm fine!”

Connie puts one hand on her hip, the now sleeping kitten in the crook of her other arm, “You set up this whole “pregnancy” thing just for a kitten you found and want to keep?”

“Eh, heh…” Steven scratches the back of his head, “I thought I was gonna give it away when she started climbing my leg, it was so hard not to hop around with her little knife fingers digging into my thigh.”

Connie stifles a giggle, imagining what it must have looked like from behind the counter. Steven attempting to remain cool, and sell the bit, with a tiny sharp clawed kitten using him as a scratching post/tree. Unintentionally the kitten wound up helping him sell it in the end.

“I guess we have a new kitty. Hopefully Lion won't get jealous.” She says

“Who do you think surprised me by dropping her in my lap during my morning coffee?”

Another Glow Week Submission since I was late 🩷🩵🩷🩵🩷🩵🩷🩵🩷🩵🩷🩵

Fireflies-

It was nearly Midnight. Summer breezes filled with the smells of dirt, animals, flowers and nature musk flowed through the night and rustled the grassy planes. Small creatures skittered about in the darkness and under logs and rocks to hide.

Out in the middle of the field were two star crossed lovers, gazing at the sky.

Connie could hardly believe Steven sometimes. He was so spontaneous and quick minded. While she herself was strategic and methodic. It left a sense of excitement in their relationship though, and she always looked forward to little moments like this.

Steven had woken up sometime in the night and stayed out of bed long enough for Connie to desire his warmth and seek him out.

He was standing on the porch just off the living room with his head tilted all the way back. She waited for him to move, but he did not. After about 5 minutes, she slid the door open quietly.

"That can't be comfortable." She crossed her arms and smirked at the hybrid.

"Actually, it's not as uncomfortable as you think." His head remained craned for a few extra seconds then he turned to look at her. His eyes flashed luminescent pink for a half a second and he walked close to her. "Let's go."

Connie was taken aback. "To bed?”

Steven shook his head. "No silly. Go out."

She snorted and poked the hybrids chest. "And go where, exactly? Everything is closed. It's past 11."

"We aren't going to a place of business, Connie," He said walking into the house past her. He looked back and motioned for her to follow him. A yawn broke through her curious grin and she did as directed.

Lion was sleeping on the living room couch when they came back in, but Steven stroked his mane until the mighty beast stretched and opened his eyes to give his owner a dirty look as if to say, "What?"

Steven leaned in and whispered into his ear for a bit and Lion stretched once again, yawned and stood by the back door with a huff of complaint at being woken.

"Connie, go grab your phone just in case Lion takes off."

He disappeared into the storage closet and Connie called out after him. "I never said I was going anywhere! I'm sleeeepyyy..." She whined.

"You'll live, Berry," Came the smug response.

Connie decided she was too tired to argue and went to grab her phone. She clicked it on and grimaced at the brightness. 11:11. "This had better be good, Universe," She mumbled, wrapping herself in her favorite robe.

By the time she was done, Steven was on Lion and ready to go. Connie crawled up and no sooner had she wrapped her arms around her boyfriend did Lion took off running through their open back door and across the sand. Connie could feel Lion getting ready to warp so she tightened her grip just before a loud roar ripped a hole in front of them that they charged through without hesitation. When the portal opened, it was to a field of grasses and flowers.

"Oh, Steven. It's gorgeous!”

"Wait there's a lot more where that came from! If you think that's cool, look at the blank area in the middle of the field. It's just big enough for two people, even if one of them is 6’11." He smirked and Connie rolled her eyes.

“My very big boy." She laughed and poked his side.

She stepped away as Steven reached into Lion and pulled out a massive blanket.

He spread it out over the flat area inside the plains and Connie sat in the middle of it all wondering what she was doing here.

"Steven, what-?"

"Just come lay on me," He implored, patting his chest.

Connie could never resist his sweetness. So she scooted a bit closer to listen to his heartbeat.

And now there they were, laying back on their blanket and staring up at the sky.

"There's Homeworld," Steven said, pointing towards a cluster of brightly colored stars.

"Hm. I see Ursa Major." Connie pointed in front of them. It was dominating the sky tonight it seemed.

"The Big Dipper!"

"Ooo, I wanna find the little dipper!" Connie scanned the sky and pointed at the tiny constellation.

"Aw, the little dipper is so small and cute." They said at the same time.

The Jam Buds burst out laughing and turned toward each other. They didn't need to tell each other they loved them, they could see it in their eyes. Connie laid her head on Steven's arm and nuzzled him sweetly.

"Thank you for bringing me out here," She whispered. 

"Just wait." Steven stood and brushed the grass, causing a cacophony of green lights to rise slowly into the night air.

"Firefly chasing?" Connie proposed.

Steven laughed and nodded. "You’re on!!!!"

They chased the fireflies over and over, through the grass and into the air. Steven would even jump to catch a wayward one to present to her.

They did that for hours and hours. It was nearly 3 by the time they decided to just enjoy nature for awhile. They laid down and cuddled; listening, smelling, seeing and soaking in everything there was to offer.

Connie felt her eyes growing heavy, so she cuddled in farther to Steven, taking in his faint cologne and natural musk. Her eyes fluttered shut and stayed.

When she woke up she was back in her house, in their bed. There was a note on the mirror that said 'I love with our adventures, but I love you way more’.

Connie's cheeks turned burgundy and she shook her head. "He's so fricking cute, I swear I can't with him."

She laid back down and laughed as her eyes grew heavy again and she drifted off to sleep, wishing he was there again to take her on another adventure.

Shadow waited. He scarcely glanced at the meteors passing through the endless sky.

Telling the passage of time was impossible.

The garden was not immune to its effects, though. That was the only sign. The flooring became cracked by some more persistent weeds that ate their way to the center. They crawled over Shadow's shoes until he couldn't see them anymore... those shoes that had been a gift from the Professor, the idea from his dear Maria. The columns faded and the paint chipped away. The robots that tended to the garden went defunct since no one came to repair them. As a result, the plants eventually wilted. Through all of that, Shadow barely moved more than a statue, aside from actions that were involuntary.

“Let’s play a game,” Maria had said, poking the dark red gemstone embedded in his chest. “You will stay here and stand very still. I’ll be back soon!”

So, he had waited. She hadn’t really explained the rules, he had soon realized upon reflection. However, it didn’t matter. He didn’t want to lose. He didn’t want to disappoint. He had to play the game the correct way, even though he knew she would never actually be angry with him.

He was the Ultimate Lifeform, designed to protect and heal. He could do such a simple thing as stay and stand very still. It was child’s play... literally.

He didn’t need food, but he eventually missed the taste and the feeling of being full. Enough time passed that his mouth grew dry and his tongue thick, without water. His muscles ached. He wouldn’t grow sick. He wouldn’t age. He wouldn’t perish like all of the flowers.

He missed their beauty, the rainbow of colors. He missed Maria’s voice, her fond looks, her laugh, everything. He missed the Professor too, because he didn’t appear either. No one appeared. The garden was theirs, him and Maria. The other scientists didn’t know about its existence.

He often wondered if he was playing the game right. Games usually ended before too long. Did he misunderstand something? Surely, it couldn’t hurt to give her a call and check… they could restart with more clarity…

Then, something new happened, finally, just before his decision was set into motion. A screen flickered on and disrupted the emptiness. It revealed a hedgehog with bright green eyes, a peach muzzle, blue quills, and a deep blue gem in his belly, the first face and splash of color that Shadow could feast his eyes upon in an unfathomable amount of time. His jovial voice caressed Shadow’s ears and lit the feeble embers inside of him. He spoke about harmony, about change, about freedom, friendship, and love.

He spoke about Maria Robotnik’s sacrifice to save the Earth.

He was ignorant of Shadow’s rage. He didn’t see Shadow punch the communicator to bits, bellowing with betrayal and agony. Shadow felt he was such a fool to have happily listened and watched her drift away.

The carefree blue idiot would feel Shadow’s fury when he descended to Earth, intent on destroying it. He and his silly little friends took a beating for having been there when Maria had gone on without him. Shadow was halted when he found out from the pink hedgehog that Maria’s greatest wish had been to protect the Earth and that was the purpose Shadow had originally been created to serve. However, the entity Black Doom had wanted to use Professor Robotnik’s resources for the destruction of worlds and later an organization of Earthlings wanted to weaponize his creations.

Shadow deflated into confusion and sorrow.

Sonic held him as he broke down and cried, feeling like a forgotten toy by the one he had loved most. He felt inexplicably safe in Sonic’s arms. He was a near stranger, yet it felt like Shadow was done waiting and had finally come home.

“She wanted you to stay safe,” Sonic reassured warmly. “She didn’t want anything to happen to you, and she probably hoped you’d get the idea and leave on your own, or that she’d be able to return to you when the danger passed. I’m so sorry, Shadow.”

“Thank you... Sonic...”

Perhaps, in time, his love could take a new form.

Steven Universe Time Travel AU EXCEPT Future!Steven is a chaotic evil villain who drops the future info at the worst possible times. Like telling the gems about Pink Diamond while Steven's on Homeworld, or some BS like that. He completely fucks up the timeline because it's fun. Maybe he'd whisper to past!steven that he's gonna propose to connie right before he goes to give her the bracelet... bc he's evil.

Like if you can fuse with a person your soulmates kinda vibes. Idk if it’ll be that specific but I really fuck with the idea.

SU AU - Honest Pink 1

What if, after the song that corrupted the Crystal Gems, Pink had broken down with guilt & confessed the truth to Garnet?

I imagine that it'd initially cause a divide in the group so severe that Garnet would defuse.

In the end, in order to get Garnet back, Rose would have to stop being Rose & return to being Pink because whenever Garnet sees Rose, she'd feel like she was being lied to.

So, Rose Quartz goes halfway & becomes Rose Diamond & takes on a more submissive role.

She'd look like this:

The question is, how would this change the story?

“A Diamonds Perspective” prompt

Things haven’t been the same since the ‘shattering of pink Diamond’…once the other Diamonds caught wind of it…well nothing more the chaos erupted all over. I’m pretty sure Blue nearly had 5 panic attacks when she heard what had happened, Yellow has been trying to comfort her for a while now, she’s calmed down a bit but still shaking with fear, but white…She’s changed the most out of the three of them.

{The meeting was a absolute chaotic disaster, I understand they were trying to come up with solutions to prevent this from happening again but as always someone always has to let a little insult slip out of their mouth. Without warning things got heated and slowly but surely all hell broke loose.}

I didn’t think Blue could snap so easily just from a insult alone, but what happened next really set her off. Black really had to go and say “If you and Blue hadn’t gave in so easily and gave her such a defective planet she would still be alive…” Me and the others looked at her in shock. She really went there huh? The next thing I knew Blue sent a blast towards Black and shouted at her whilst walking towards her.

“WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? DID YOU THINK WE KNOW THIS WOULD HAPPEN, DID YOU THINK WE KNOW THAT A REBELLION WAS HAPPENING, TO KILL PINK AND TRY TO TAKE US DOWN AS WELL? YOU HAVE SOME NERVE TO PUT SUCH BLAME ON US WITH AN ATTITUDE LIKE YOURS?!”

All of us were standing there in total shock, still trying to register what has been just said. Did Blue really say that? The Blue I know would just try to reason with someone if ever to be insulted but now…I don’t think that’s gonna be the case anymore.

Though I wouldn’t blame her, Pink was like a daughter to her, she held her dear to her heart. She loved her so much and she was taken away from her just as she loved her so. I can understand the pain and grief she was going through.

The others started to get involved and tried to de escalate the situation but for some reason I already know that’s not gonna be happening for the time being. While the chaos was still in motion I couldn’t find white anywhere in the middle of it, wasn’t she just here? I could’ve sworn she was just standing there I-

Then I heard it, crying. I was confused, who was crying and where was it coming from? I focused on the crying, causing all the noise of the chaos to drown out.

It was coming from…outside of the meeting room? And if whites not there then…

Oh my dear little lotus…where are you?

A Prompt that came from a Challenge

(Well, not quite from the challenge of @natedogx15, but it motivated me to post it here)

 This is an AU that involves Indie Horror RPGs (I haven’t played all of those below, but I know the basic plot of most), Winx Club and Steven Universe. The AU of @ask-the-rpg-3 was what gave me the idea.

Besides the dimension of Earth, where us humans live on, there are a lot of different dimensions. Some of them are the Monster Realm, the Paintings Realm, Shadows Realm, Plants Realm, and, most importantly, the Sorcerers Realm.

The Sorcerers come from a Magic Dimension, and they are ruled by the three most powerful sorcerers, who are also immortal. Their society is harsh and cold, where you must obey all the rules if you don’t want to be punished.

These sorcerers, to get more and more powerful, travel from realm to realm to steal their mana/life essence, leaving these dimensions barren and lifeless.

A Sorceress, a long time ago, though, decided to fight for Earth and started a rebellion. Her name was Fran Bow, a sorcerer of the cosmos. Their group name was the Mages of Gaia.

The mages thought against the sorcerers to save the planet and managed to do that… but, there was a cost. The fourth leader needed to be eliminated.

Her three siblings were furious, and, on a last attempt, they cast a curse on most rebels, transforming all of the mages into monsters.

However, these mages left children with dormant magic blood, that only needed a small spark to be activated.

Fran, who protected herself with a powerful enchantment stayed alive and safe.

Years passed, and, for some mysterious reason, 4 descendants, after generations, unlocked their magical potential, and need to be trained by Fran Bow, specially considering the threat of more sorcerers coming back to Earth.

Now that the story is explained, time to talk about the magic system. The magic system is similar to Winx, except that there is no difference between wizards, witches, and fairies. They are all sorcerers here with magic transformations (magic winx, enchantix and so on, but no wings).

The main 4 characters are:

- Sunny, the sorcerer of dreams (Omori): He has the power of manipulating Dream Energy (basically blue lantern powers), reading people’s thoughts and so on.

- Madotsuki, the sorceress of absorption (Yume Nikki): She can touch objects and absorb their abilities (like, touching a candle gives her fire powers. Yes, this ability is inspired on her effects of the game).

- Kris, the NB sorcerer of determination (Deltarune): his magic allows him to create a magical aura that enhances his natural abilities (he can get super-strengh and speed, as an example).

 The other characters are not quite their own selves, they are mostly Steven Universe Counterparts:

Fran Bow: Rose Quartz.

Mr. Midnight: Lion.

Ryo (Crowscare), sorcerer of light: Peridot.

Embry (It’s not me, it’s my basement), NB sorcerer of Crystals: Lapis (Being trapped in a mirror kept them as a child).

Amanda (Amanda the Adventurer), sorceress of shape: Bismuth. (Being Trapped on Mr Midnight kept her from aging too).

Aya (Mad Father), sorceress of death: Jasper.

Misfortune (Little Misfortune), sorceress of Dimensions: Pink Diamond.

Venna (Crowscare): White Diamond.

Rune (Crowscare): Blue Diamond.

Alfred (Mad Father): Yellow Diamond.

 The rest, I haven’t decided, but, the one writing it can come up with it.

Remembering that, in this universe: Omori good route events would have happened, Ib’s events wouldn’t have happened, Deltarune’s wouldn’t have happened either (and the monsters would live in their own realm), and Yume Nikki’s events, well… they are dreams that happen time and time again, so, they did, but can happen again (except the ending).
