I watched Janet reacting to sp7 vids and why would Steve's mod recommend that first video? That is such a bad introduction to sugar pine 7. I couldn't physically watch the reaction, I find that video so cringe. Like, just let them watch a classic as an introduction. I'm glad they listened to chat and watched other videos after bc Janet liked those
i watched for a little after the raid and i had to leave when she started watching it, i could not handle the cringe.
(i’m genuinely confused why a mod would recommend anything of steve’s for janet to watch because he just seems a little uncomfortable with it in general. like he’s said on stream that he’s not 100% sure how the humor of everything holds up today so it’s made him a little nervous about people watching his older content on stream. and then to choose that episode is just bizarre as it seemed so random and didn’t seem like a good representation at all. i know a lot of the mods were sp7 fans and have been there from the start but it just seems like such a strange choice)

Hi, I know the SP7 subreddit is private but does it still exist, do people still post on there? I'm quite new to reddit and checked out the SP7sub from time to time but hadn't joined and suddenly it was private. If i knew the subreddit was still active I'd request to join the community but I'm unsure if it still is, and i'm too scared to send a message to them :( I know you've followed Steve for some time and you were my best bet :) Thank you!!
hey! so as far as i know, the sp7 subreddit has been completely nuked. i’m not sure about anyone else but for me, the reddit client i use says i’m still in it, but every link to it is a dead end. nothing comes up when i google it, either.
i may be remembering this incorrectly but i believe the sole remaining mod of the subreddit stepped down a little over a year ago. in the last few months before it was deleted (or made private, again i’m not entirely sure), many of the posts were from fans asking for details about the boys’ private lives. each member of sp7 also had admin privileges, so my theory is one of them got sick of it and shut the whole thing down.
it’s a shame because there were a lot of posts i liked rereading every now and then! lots of funny engagement from the sp7 gang, my favorite being from this post:
Tumblr media
but i totally understand (what was most likely) their decision, too. they’re all busy and i don’t think the subreddit was active enough to warrant finding a new mod.
that being said, there’s still a fairly active community on twitter! and i, for one, am always down to chat about steve/sp7 <3

i thought i knew what sp7 was (steve suptics old group vlog channel) but evidently i do not
this is like 80% correct except there was like lore and they were playing characters. it was intentionally very heightened, and not just in the typical way of vloggers being Personalities. suptic and co also wanted to be Filmmakers TM and even released a short film, so some of the episodes of alternative lifestyle would veer into filmmaker territory. the most famous example of this, and the one i am most likely to be thinking about at any given moment, is akrasia, their season 1 finale where they killed off one of the main cast members. (he came back later)
i cannot in good conscience recommend watching alternative lifestyle, for reasons ranging from "i don't actually know if it was good or if i was just the right person at the right time" to "a couple of them have turned out to be scummy, in non-catastrophic but still bad ways" to "quality drop after s2" but if you are at all curious, i would recommend the episode where they get the name sugar pine 7
also forgive me for two-birds-one-stone-ing but jordan captainsparklez was there, insofar as a lot of steven suptic's friends showed up at various points. he was more recurring than a lot of them although i don't remember any prominent episodes he was in. mostly that he was there and that he was dating alfredo, the secret eighth member of sugar pine 7, who was a freak who lived on the roof. here's an episode about that

Hey, because it seems some ppl dont know!
Theres another source that saves steves vods, updated p much the day after! In steve suptic vods' video descriptions, theres a line that says "expired vods sourced from sp7archive.org," but this archive preserves all sp7 creator content, including steve!
Heres the link to specifically steve vods, sortest newest first :D

if you want to know, after the 1st she watched one with Autumn and thought it was entertaining, and she watched " sourcefed is cancelled", which started sp7, and was moved by the ending.
I know that there is contact between their mods and I guess maybe they had the idea to let Janet react to it, but they should have let her react to the sourcefed one or the more iconic ones. Not to a random s3 vid ( the cringiest of all sp7 vids). It even mentioned his ex, his future wedding and someone who was cancelled and they later deleted vids with 😭 It was probably just the mod´s fav vid.
I´m glad chat started saying it was a bad choice and suggested some beter ones so in the end it was a good experience for her.
ooh with more context that’s even worse and such an odd recommendation for a mod to make. i know steve says the mods speak for him and he will generally agree with their choices with how chat is run (and over all i do think they do a great job because chat is pretty nice most of the time) i don’t think he would agree with this decision from a mod. in janet’s stream for example she has a mod who i think runs her tik tok and is very content conscious and steve’s mods are og steve fans so maybe that explains a little.
(i’m glad she liked the vids chat recommended in the end though.)
