When he wakes, feeling movement under him and looks up into Peter Hale’s half-shifted face, he reflects that it was probably a bad decision. The man looks worse for wear, still wearing the tattered dress clothes that he’d initially shown up to the formal in. His eyes glow bright red as he looks down, hearing Stiles’ gasp or sensing some other indication that he woke up, and Stiles screams.

However, Peter doesn’t ask anything of him. He just moves, quicker than lightning, and sinks his fangs into Stiles’ wrist around the small cut he’d just created. Stiles screams in the most confusing storm of pain and pleasure he’s ever experienced, but it’s quickly overshadowed by the howl that Peter releases as soon as he lets go of Stiles’ wrist. His fangs drip Stiles’ own blood back down to his body, and it’s like the world’s most perverted baptism. Stiles is born anew. Or perhaps he is gone; consumed fully and with something entirely different taking his place.

Another WIP Wednesday already! Here’s a little bit from the ranch AU I’m writing for the @steter-bang :)

Gerard smiles, and it makes Peter shudder. He’s never seen a more unpleasant smile in his life.

“Now, be reasonable, Peter. Times are tough. We’re all just waiting on a fire to get too close, the animals to get sick, the winter to be too long. One of these days, you could be begging me to take this ranch off your hands.”

Peter saunters closer. “Even if every one of my cows died, my land was charred black, and we were literally the last two ranchers on the planet, I wouldn’t sell this ranch to you,” he says evenly.

“Now you listen to me,” Argent starts, but then he stops, eyes narrowing at something over Peter’s shoulder.

Peter looks around, and there’s Stiles, standing by the corner of the house, looking like he’d like to turn right around and head back the way he came.

“Sorry,” Stiles says, “Didn’t mean to interrupt.”

“Figures you’d wash up here,” Argent snarls at him. “It would take a worthless operation like this to take you on board.”

“That’s a lot of sailor metaphors for a place as landlocked as this,” Stiles replies.

All Stiles wants to do is mind his own business, but when he tries to clean up other people's messes, he gets caught red handed. Literally. OR the one where Stiles is one hundred percent done with being up to here with werewolves.

My I present my remix fic for the @steter-bang. Adara wrote a cute meet-ugly fic from Peter's POV, and so I decided to write it from Stile's POV and add in a probably unnecessary amount of world building (that's what I do... I can't help it!)

Thanks as always to my amazing co-mods @teenwerewoofs and @midmorning-bomb. This has been a crazy year and you two carried the weight of this fest and I owe you for that. <3

Summary:

Peter Hale didn’t intend on becoming a children’s book author. Life had become monotonous and, dare he say, too well-adjusted. The territory was stable, he had friends (if you counted his overeager editor), and he finally had a not-entirely-hate relationship with his nephew. But going back to writing mysteries and thrillers? It just wasn’t happening.

Stiles definitely intended to become an illustrator because being an office worker was [soul-crushing and exhausting and] not what he’d envisioned. And on top of that, he’s undergoing treatment for Chronic Magical Drain, so art is his respite. When he wins an illustration contest, it feels like everything is looking up.

Then he gets to TW Publishing’s San Francisco office… and Peter fucking Hale is sitting across from him. [WIP, M, 12.9k]

Summary:

Helianthus Fields where the the Sìogs dwelled, had been nearly annihilated. The newest Sìog who had just hatched was now all alone. His life might have ended too soon if not for the intervention of a Never Boy. or Peter & Pan. A Teen Wolf/Peter Pan Fusion.

Okay, let's face it, I'm never going to remember to post my w.i.p. on W.I.P. Wednesday, so here's

Later that night Stiles was laying down on his bed - a real bed! - listening to Claudia-23's breathing. The party had been surprisingly okay, and Stiles had even tried out several new foods. He was particularly proud of trying fried, spicy insects, which he had actually liked quite a lot.

Claudia-23, powered by a nap and a bottle of formula, had predictably wrapped everyone around her tiny little finger and even gifted Scott with spit-up down his shirt collar. Stiles had rewarded her with kisses for that, just for the look on his new brother's face.

And most importantly, Stiles had managed to smuggle a little bit of food to start a new food stash. He'd somehow even gotten a few packets of formula powder for Claudia-23.

It had taken a good chunk of time to figure out a place for it, his new room being all sleek panels, but eventually he had figured out his closet's bottom would come loose with bit of prying and he could hide the food there.

He and Claudia-23 wouldn't go hungry again.

Technically it’s Thursday now since I’m up past my bedtime but ehhhh who’s counting? Have some pining in my @steter-bang WIP:

Peter picks at a hole on the knee of his jeans, and Stiles watches his fingers as they move, finding himself imagining those fingers on his skin. He has to close his eyes for a minute. He’s had plenty of sexual partners over the years, but it’s been a long time since he’s spent enough time with someone to be attracted to more than just their body. The thought of being with someone who he has more than a physical connection with is appealing, but also a little terrifying.

He opens his eyes, and follows the line of Peter’s shoulders, the curve of his neck. He feels a wild desire to trace the same path with his lips, to nip and suck at that sharp jaw. That way lies madness, he knows. Not only will it soon cause a situation with his dick that he’d rather not have at the moment, it’s highly likely to cause other issues that he wants to avoid. He likes it here. He’s not going to fuck that up by hitting on his boss.

Peter’s eyes meet his suddenly, and Stiles almost loses his breath. For one moment he allows himself to imagine what if, but Peter looks away first again, and Stiles wakes back up to reality.

Fic that made me cry: Nothing really. I did have a lot of moments of doubt when writing Give Me Pure Energy that could have lead to tears if I was just a little more tired or stressed.

On top of all that I co-moded my first fandom events this year, both with @teenwerewoofs and @midmorning-bomb: @steterweek and @steter-bang. So that was a fun new achievement I unlocked after 20 years of fandom.

Coming in 2023: For now, this is what I have planned. I'm sure more I'll add more as different events come up, too.

I have 2-3 more fics to write in the Our Love... verse (a 2x3 and a 1x2, and maybe an extra bonus fic)

@punchedbymarkesmith has already gotten me thinking about how I might do some sort of sequel to Give Me Pure Energy (they also have me thinking about writing Steo... honestly such a bad influence <3)

I also really, really want to go back an do a re-edit of It's Only Forever, and finally finish it... but we'll see. It's hard to come back to it after like 5 years.

We know the initial plan was to run the event again in 2023, but declining interest amongst the mod team have led us to announcing now that we currently have no intention to do so. Paw Patrol

Summary:

Hope was fear’s weakness but what or who was such hope? Well, for Stiles Stilinski, hope had always been his family, especially his children. Then, he met Peter Hale who offered hope, caused fear and promised forever. Their love was inspiring but several things got in the way, and made them both unsure of the surety that was each other. Their children had an opinion of course, but whether or not their daddies would listen was another story—this story—entirely.
