Derek Hale was born without any soulmate marks. It’s not unusual for some people to have soulmates younger than they are, but as soon as Derek was aware of the existence of Soulmarks he woke up every day to check if something had appeared on his skin.

He was 5 years old when it happened. He woke up in the middle of the night, his left wrist burning as if a million tiny needles were piercing his skin. Derek watched with awe as the lines appeared on his skin, it looked like a small constellation. If he’d seen it in the sky, he would’ve guessed there was a story behind it.

He called for his mother when the pain didn’t stop immediately. Was it supposed to hurt like that? Maybe magic was being done on him.

“In a way, it’s a kind of magic,” she explained when he calmed down. “You will understand it when you meet your soulmate.”

From that day onward, every time he got a glimpse of someone’s Soulmark he wondered if they had the twin to his own, even when his mother told him his soulmate was still a baby.

A little over a year later, a second Mark appeared on his left wrist. When he told his mother, she smiled at him.

“Some people are fortunate enough to have more than one soulmate,” she said. “Sometimes another person comes into your life and they become important enough to make themselves at home under your skin.”

I ship Sterek, Sterydia, and Malira stronger than I ship Stalia, but I will never stop thinking this ship is adorable. I honestly think it was what they both needed at the time, and I love that for them.

Stiles needed someone who trusted him and understood him even after everything the Nogistune made his body do. Malia needed someone who had experience in dealing with weres and the patience to teach her a balance in her human and feral sides, and he made her feel safe in a way that literally no one else had in her entire life.

People think it is weird if Malia gets jealous at Stydia but people forget that he really made her feel safe for a long time

I posted the 5th chapter of my ongoing Sterek WIP with a semi-feral Alpha Derek, The Wolf Moon, a couple days ago. That's the second part of The Oak Moon series. I have two regular chapters and a short epilogue to do for it and then I hope to have the third and final part done by the end of August since that's when the main story ends in-world.

I also posted a fun and smutty Coffee Shop AU getting together fic with surly & dominant omega barista Derek and sassy, but shy & submissive college student Stiles. (Plus it's optional follow up mpreg & kidfic ficlet.)

I'm taking a break today, but have been working on my longer Spark Stiles/Beta Derek fic for the end of the Mead Moons event (involving mead of course,) finishing a shorter one where they meet at Jungle, and thinking of a third one that's Sterydia.

I have at least one story, a modern fall vibes Sterek, to submit snippets for to the WIP Bang and am considering two others; one in a fantasy setting with Emperor Derek and Tribute Stiles and a Steter story with Fox Stiles.

There are various ongoing and upcoming events that I want to do short stories for if I get a chance.

And then I have a currently 35K Mob Boss Stiles/Omega Derek fic from last month on the back burner that I'll probably focus on again in August or September.

On the Stove:

It Takes You -> The follow-up to Hot Sauce and Water Spots. In which Stiles learns how to be more than just a college party boy. Hopefully, Derek learns to make his own decisions 75% Complete

Make You Feel My Love -> the hanahaki fic! It's been on going for what feels like years even though it's only months. Rewriting Chapt 5. Derek's disease is really kicking into full gear here. 40% Complete

On the back burners:

Mulan AU -> Exactly what it sounds like. General Shang!Derek, Mulan!Stiles, and Mushu!Scott Planning

Mafia AU -> Witch Gangs, Morally gray Derek and Stiles. Stiles is duel mafia wife and boss Planning

Mpreg AU -> I have no complete concept. I just want Stiles and Derek forcibly separated while one is preg and basically break the entire world to get back to each other Literally Just an Idea. Not a plan in sight

Slave AU -> Random Guy Derek and escaped Slave Stiles. This will be darker than dark. Very dark. Extremely dark. :) Planning almost complete.

Chapter 2 is posted!

Total word count is ~18k

Be warned, this work deals with sex slavery, mental conditioning, mind manipulation, and generally screwing Theo over in the trauma department. It is however more on the HEALING from said mind fuckery than the inducing of it.

SHIPS:

Platonic Steo is a crux of this part of the fic, so if you don’t like the two snarky assholes being friends, then move along.

Eventual Thiam, once Theo is Theo again. If no like, then the first part should be fine to read, minus the occasional mention of Liam in reference to Theo.

Sterydia is a big part of this too, so move along if you don’t like OT3s or polycules.

With all that out of the way, please give a round of applause to @smile667 for being the voice of making everything worse for Theo. They’re one of my biggest helpers in continuing to work on this fic.
