Miss the old fandom sometimes so much.You, scienter, steroline theories , you guys were so great with your metas and theories,speculations.Then the amazing gif makers.I remember reading a smut which I think you wrote where steroline had their humanity off.Loved it.Tvd was the first and only show I was involved in the fandom with and had such a great time even though the show didn't treat sc well.Paul and candice were such adorable dorks back then.Remember how everyone was mad that Ian inserted himself into the picture when wescolla was taking a selfie during the photoshoot?lolol.very few of my friends ever watched tvd and almost no one shipped sc but they all shipped and still do ship wescolla.lmao

HAHAHA I DID! I was if Stefan won the bet instead of Caroline and it was absolutely filthy lol, it still gets liked and reblogged from time to time and I sort of blush each time I see it in my activity. The fandom days were so fun! I definitely think about it a lot from time to time when I see old metas getting reblogged or giftsets with tags, we had so much fun. I will never forget the absolute party we had here and on Twitter the night 8x02 aired and we all watched the proposal, it was the happiest moment for all of us and we were fangirling all over talking about the best parts, that's my fondest memory I don't think I slept much that night I was so amped up lol.

⭐️ for Gasoline and Spin! (two of my favs)

Gasoline is something that I started writing for a different fandom, about a billion years ago, and for some reason it suddenly gave me Klaroline vibes. I love a good musicians AU, so there's also that, and the idea of exploring a very messy side of Caroline and that relationship was something that enjoyed a lot. They're both extremely screwed up in the head in that setting, but Klaus fakes it better, while Caroline soldiers on by being extremely focused and disciplined, but she didn't get the clean cut she wishes she did, and it shows how much that affects her. I was originally going to write it as a long multi-chap, had the whole thing planned out. It was a bit of an ensemble story, where other characters would get their own development and so on, but I totally lost my mojo and then posted it as a one shot only, because I really liked that first chapter and I felt it worked anyway. But then @definedareasofuncertainty (she's behind everything, always lol) asked me to write a sequel and I decided to give it to her a birthday gift (I'm such a lame friend tbh 🥲), and so I had to include smut, because she's always calling me names for my fade to blacks 🥲

I like the open ending tbh, the idea that they can face the fact neither of them is completely happy and they have all this resentment for each other, but that there is no easy fix because they simply want different things from life. I was very particular about how I thought Klaus would be the ~~~softer part in this finale, because that's what he's like when he's with Caroline. He understands her needs, allows her to rage and scream, and always leaves the ball in her court. She's the one who makes the important moves. And so in that moment, he's just giving her what she needs, which is a closure of sorts and a promise that, maybe, further down the road, they'll finally be on the same page. It's all about timing and how bittersweet and heartbreaking it can be.

As for Spin - honestly, I love Spin. 😂 If I had to rec one of my fics to people, Spin would probably be top 3. I draw a lot of inspiration from my obsession of the day, and this was when I was watching The Politician like a mad person. The whole high school lovers to rivals had me by the throat (even though on the show it's actually very sad and depressing, in spire of the general insanity).

Again, it's an opportunity to have Klaus be a major little shit while also being a sucker for Caroline. I just think this story has so many aspects of them that I love. The bickering, the rivalry, the bitterness. The occasional betrayal. Klaus looking at Caroline like the sun shines out of her eyes, believing in her when everyone else just sort of roll their eyes. The Steroline relationship that is phony and convenient but lacking in everything. Klaus being propelled into impulsive, erratic behavior because of his family. The two of them finding a measure of comfort and understanding in each other, which is the last thing they could've expected.

I don't know, man, I just love them in this. 😂 Maybe it's just me, but I feel like it's a very well-rounded fic that adapts their dynamic well into a high school AU. I wish I could write more fics like that tbh.

the first few run-on sentences of the final chapter of my bamenzo fic Give Me Reasons that will hopefully be done soon:

What was it about time and the filter of nostalgia that had softened her feelings? Logic said that she shouldn’t be sitting here, that she shouldn’t be content and happy, that she shouldn’t be feeling anything other than repulsion-- but at what point was she finally allowed to be the one in the group to say ‘fuck you’ to logic?

Fic Speed Dating: Score Card

Thank you @tvfanatic97-2 for tagging me! Also, I know a few people have tagged me in a few things recently, and I haven’t had a chance to do them, but thank you, I appreciate it <3

Of all of your works, which do you think is:

The Funniest: Ahh. I’m not really funny. Nothing I’ve written has been pure comedy, but I think I throw in a few lighthearted moments here and there in a lot of my fics. If I had to choose, maybe my Time Canary, Legends of Tomorrow fic: ‘so kiss me (beneath the milky twilight)’ – because hey, mistletoe hi-jinks is always fun.

The Most Romantic: That’s hard. I’ve written a lot of romance. Maybe my TVD steroline fic: ‘a tale as old as you and I’ since it’s a story that depicts an AU version of Stefan and Caroline’s love that spans literal centuries, and there’s a heavy emphasis on fate.

The Most Unusual: ‘the 08:13 to someday, maybe’ – another Time Canary fic. I think the setting makes it unusual and a little different.

The Scariest: None of my fics are scary.  

The Sexiest: I don’t really do sexy ?? I’ve never written smut in my life. The sexiest thing I’ve probably written is a toss up between ‘thief of the night, come (come steal what’s yours)’ – a Time Canary Criminals AU and ‘The stain on your lips (matches the colour of mine)’ – a steroline one-shot, somewhat based in the canon of S6

The Saddest: The first one that comes to mind is ‘Sleep awhile, my darling (I’ll wait here)’ – another steroline fic.

The Prettiest: I don’t even know what this means! Does this mean the most flowery? Cos I’ve written a lot of flowery shit. I don’t know.

The Most Exciting: Um, maybe ‘this space between us (it’s nothing but stardust and the absence of you)’ – again, Time Canary – I remember there being quite a bit of action in some of the chapters. OR – ‘the end is the just the beginning (or this is how the story goes)’ – yeah, can’t really beat spies and an Alias AU.

The Happiest: ‘smile like you mean it’ – I mean all the ways Peter Parker tries to get Michelle Jones to smile? Easily the fluffiest fic I’ve written.

The Most Realistic: Hmmm. I guess, since it’s based in an AU with no powers, time travel and looks at dealing with depression and recovering from grief, and forming friendships and falling in love messily, ‘this year’s love’ – my Time Canary AU. Also, probably still the fic I’m most proud of.

The Most Fantastical: I don’t think I’ve written anything that’s purely fantasy.

The Most Complex: What I’m writing now. It’s another spideychelle multi-chap AU and it’s standing at nearly 20K words at present, and not even half way done, and there’s a lot of plot threads that I need to weave together and it’s turning into a bit of a logistical nightmare.

The Simplest: Probably my first ever Time Canary fic – ‘Corridor Conversations’ – because it’s exactly as it says on the tin.

The Closest to What You Wanted It to Be: ‘this year’s love’
