You have made me cry @kmze . I'm relatively new to this fandom but I've been going through all of the wonderful posts that you guys used to make. I love love this fandom so much! I have had many otps and ships before, but this is something that will always be held in my heart. I'll never be able to forget steroline.

Every single time I come to Tumblr I feel nostalgic about Steroline.

I’m sorry that I didn’t evolve this blog to include more new shows that I’ve been watching and life is crazy busy and I’ve been dating for nearly 3 years now so my time here feels really limited… but fuck, every time I open Tumblr I just remember the days our amazing fandom was just starting to blossom :)

Actually let me go even further back… it was the end of 2010, the beginning of S2 of TVD that I started to ship Steroline. And it wasn’t even here. It was at Fanforum. You guys remember Fanforum? lol

Each ship had a thread and it would close once it reached however many posts and then start another. I remember the Delena thread was at 90 threads so far, Stelena was like 75 or something… and our little, small, humble ship was at 11 when I joined there. It was pretty much the same ten people chatting about Steroline, pushing ourselves for a whole month to get enough posts to start a new thread while Delena went through one every couple of days lol

But you wouldn’t believe our exciment when 2x09 aired and he said she reminded him of Lexi and she said she WAS his friend. And then when 2x13 came AND HE FUCKING SAVED HER AND GOT HER HOME AND SAID SHE DIDN’T HAVE TO PRETEND WITH HIM!??

We died.

My Steroline video playlist was already fucking fire with many talented people doing incredible manips… do yOU GUYS REMEMBER WHEN WE HAD TO MANIP THEIR SCENES!?!

Then I discovered Tumblr. This ship is literally the reason I started this blog. We would live stream the episodes and live for every lick of interaction they had… We started to grow as a fandom, really grow. Then S3 came and they had like what, 2 SCENES?? And then THAT fucking ship who shall not be named started?

2011-2012 were the dark ages for us.

Then s4 came with all its glorious built of their friendship, their bond, we got to see they grow as characters together. Our fandom soared to new heights. Candice and Paul started to ship them more than us, especially Paul, our forever captain lol

The show was starting to decline but they were only getting better and we were really solidified as a BIG fandom. The subtle hints from s4 and s5 were something so huge for us, the ones who started here or at Fanforum or wherever… It was huge.

Then s6 came along and we were in Steroline heaven basically lol I’m only remembering the good parts and oh my god were they glorious. Sure, the show’s ability to give a good plotline for the season was basically gone but Stefan and Caroline were treated with the respect they deserved, in my opinion. Their story became the most amazing thing on this show and it felt organic, as it always was from the very start.

I remember when 6x14 came and it felt not only the beginning of their romance but also the breath that we were holding for the past 5 years could finally be released and we could just smile and look back at everything we had gone through… It was the proudest moment I felt being a part of this amazing fandom.

And the fact that in the next two seasons they became the central romantic plot line of the show and acTUALLY HAD A JUNE WEDDING AND PROMISED TO LOVE EACH OTHER FOREVER AND STEFAN PROPOSED TO HER AND IT’S THE ONLY WOMAN WHO HE HAS EVER FELT SUCH LOVE TO ACTUALLY WANT HER TO BE HIS FOREVER AND SHE FOUND HER TRUE, PURE, SIMPLE LOVE AND THEY MARRIED… god, it was such a fucking ride.

A beautiful story.

The most amazing fandom. The most patient fandom lol

And to top it all of, we actually have our endgame. They will meet each other in the after life. And once again, I could not be more proud to be a part of this fandom.

We stood, we fought, we conquered.

Anyway, this is just me on a Saturday night rambling about my absolute ultimate OTP of all time and remembering the good ol’ days with my fellow Steroliners lol

MY FIRST STEROLINE POEM

I still remember the first day we met We were too shy to say much at all It's funny to think back to that time Because now we're having a ball! They say that true friendship is rare An adage that I believe to be true Genuine friendship is something that I cherish I am so lucky to have met you. Our bond is extremely special It is unique in its own way We have something irreplaceable  I love you more and more each day. We've been through so much together In so little time we've shared  I will never forget all the moments that you've shown me how much you cared. Friends are forever Especially the bond that you and I possess I love your crazy , control freak, optimist and happy personality It what makes you, you Somehow you never fail to impress. The world could use more people like you it would certainly be a better place I love everything about you You are someone I could never replace. You are YOU You are always there for me When my spirits need a little lift I cannot thank you enough for that You are truly an extraordinary gift. You are everything to me and more I could never express that enough Life is such a treacherous journey, and Without you it would be even more tough. Our story will continue to grow With each passing day Because I trust that with you by my side Everything will always be Okay. Even if we take time to be together, It's not because we dont loved each other It's because we madly love each other . Caroline held her pregnant belly as they drove to their next destination. “I want enough room for my mom to be able to sleep over when she’s in town.”

Stefan nodded his head. “We’ll probably need the extra room for when Damon gets to drunk to drink home anyway.”

Caroline giggled. “Well, that’s what we want the baby to see. A drunk uncle on our couch.”

“So, four bedrooms?” Stefan wondered aloud. 

Caroline thought for a moment. “We could get away with three.”

“But... what about baby number two?” Stefan suggested. 

Caroline smiled, looking at Stefan out of the corner of her eye. “Already thinking of another, huh?” she asked nudging him with her elbow. 

Stefan chuckled and grabbed her hand, lacing their fingers together. “Well, you’re the planner, but it doesn’t mean I don’t think about the future.”

“And what do you think about, Mr. Salvatore?”

Stefan smirked, keeping his eyes on the road. His thumb traced the back of her hand as he thought. “Well, I think we’ll probably have at least two. Though if they end up both being boys, you’ll probably want to try for a third.” Caroline nodded softly. “And, we’ll probably want to move back to Mystic Falls before high school, so I thought we’d want to save up to start my own practice. Maybe I can buy the Gilbert’s practice.”

“He’ll need to retire eventually,” Caroline agreed.

“But, in the most immediate future, I picture a big yard. One we can spend summer nights in with the little guy.” Caroline felt herself tearing up as she spoke. “And a big kitchen so you can host parties.”

“Naturally,” Caroline laughed through tears. 

“And a nice big bath tub in our bathroom for us lounge in.”

“Together?” Caroline asked. Stefan nodded. “Naughty.” 

“It’s not naughty,” Stefan said decisively. “We are married.”

Caroline brought his hand to her lips and kissed the back of his hand softly, leaving a trace of her lipstick on his hand. 

They pulled up to a cottage they were set to look at. Stefan put the car in park and turned to his beautiful, pregnant wife. “I love you,” he said. It was a habitual phrase, but it wasn’t saying it that way today. He was saying it because he couldn’t wait to spend the rest of this life with this woman. 

“I love you more,” she said softly, in a voice that was reserved just for him.
