I hadn't really thought about it in depth prior to your questions but now that I have, here's my best guess.

In all honesty I want them both to live and have some form of a redemption arc. We saw Codron start on a redemption journey at the end of season 1 when he kills Genet's men, refusing to hurt Laurent (a child), allowing Daryl and everyone else to get to the Nest, and not giving up the Nest's location to Genet when she asked.

Genet on the other hand seems like such an interesting antagonist and season 1 gave us some hints at how multi layered she really is. I hope and I think season 2 will explore that and give us a satisfying backstory that explains how she became who she is, and why as Laurent said her "heart is broken", which we got a sneak peak of in the trailer.

In terms of whether or not they'll survive, my guess would be that Codron will but Genet unfortunately won't. But, however she goes out I think they will give her a poetic and meaningful ending.

I hope this answers your questions. I wish I had something more profound to say, but it turned out to be more of my hopes for the characters rather than an educated guess 😅 Unfortunately, I don't have much backstory for them to go on.
