Taylor's little "okay, drama queen" is so real because she was into Steven for years and he never actually reciprocated, so she's not about to let him repeat their random party hookup from last year, because if he did that AGAIN, it would seriously break her heart. You can see her face change when he pulls her back and even though obviously all season is leading up to the two of them getting together, we needed to see that he knows her middle name, that he actually cares about her, because even though the viewers can see it SHE DOESNT, which is also why she warns Belly against Conrad because she doesn't want her best friend to be hurt either, and I don't care about the books at this point, because book!Taylor could NEVER.
