hot take: i don't really like staylor all that much. like i agree, they have cute moments. but the two times they've got together were with when the other was with someone else (and i am a shayla stan til i die), also i just think taylor deserves better than steven. like i was trying to get used to the idea of them over the season but i was just not into it by the end when steven was being an ultimate dick rider for conrad, and seeing how his interpretation of love and that his sister should have that like.... do you hate your sister? do you want her to be in a relationship with a guy whose emotionally unavailable (and honestly, should be in THERAPY, not a relationship) and also made her cry at prom? boy, YOU were THERE, your sister was crying in your arms and after like what? 2-3 days of subtle moments just erased all of that PLUS what happened at the funeral? i'm sorry but no. taylor had such a good point for defending jere like "he was also losing his mom and the rest of you just forgot about him and focused on only conrad" not that the others should've ignored conrad, but only seeing how one is feeling over the other is FAVORTISM. and if that is what steven sees that conrad is the right fit for belly and says how much conrad challenges her, i don't think steven is a good partner if he looks up to b*nrad as a good relationship example

and the "her middle name is madison" thing like, did yall expect milo to know taylor's middle name? i don't even disclose that information with my longtime friends, let alone a guy i've been dating for a few months because who fucking cares. that shit was like bare minimum

NEWS ABOUT TSITP SPINOFF I'm so excited and I can't wait to see what Jenny comes up with, what are your thoughts? I think the most expect thing is Laurel x Susannah spinoff but who knows right

yeees, i think that laurel and susannah spinoff is the thing that fans were asking for since season one, so i really hope that we'll get that. i also heard that some fans think that spinoff could be about jeremiah and how he got his life together after that last wedding scene, which is also a good guess. everyone realises that the show is going to end with bellyconrad endgame, but jeremiah also has a lot of fans, so it could be a very thoughtful gesture for those fans. this way they could get a closure for jeremiah and jenny could wrap up his story respectfully. i'm also kind of delusional and a girl can dream that the spinoff would be about staylor, but it's the least believable option for me

finally watched the finale to tsitp and I was very impressed with how mature Jere handled the situation. he allowed Belly to make her choice and finally was an adult about stuff and assured her he wouldn't treat her like crap again. I mean I didn't really believe it but I appreciated watching him try to be a grown up about everything for once. Conrad of course refused to watch his brother be sad like that again, so he gave up Belly for her and for his brother, and that breaks my heart. however, I feel like this is better because this gives Jere and Belly time together so Belly now will no longer have the what-if of Jeremiah. when or if she picks Conrad again, it will be because she really knows what she wants, and there will no longer be a question over if what she made was the right choice.

however Belly still makes me angry because Conrad was obviously sacrificing his happiness for hers and his brothers and she still chooses to make him out to be the bad guy. with Jere being mature about stuff again, I really only have a problem with Belly at this point. Jere went back to the one I loved in s1 and Belly remained the jerk that refused to see that SHE hurt Conrad probably way way waaaaay more than he ever hurt her because she chose to be such a selfish bratt while he was mourning his dying/dead mother and she could only care about Prom. anyway, it was a good finale though and I am happy they left some kind o closure.

the best thing to come out of the season? Staylor. without a doubt. they're perfect.

TSITP 2x08 - "Love Triangle" : Review

First let me tell you it was a JELLY FEST episode. I didn't know we could have even a better kiss than last week episode. Jeremiah was right, once he has kissed Belly, he really cannot stop.

They are a perfect couple. This is what a healthy, genuine and happy relationship should be! Apart they are miserable, but together they shine. I know I should stay realistic knowing the books' ending, but I cannot kill the little hope that I have in me after seeing so many clues for their endgame (which I'm going to do on another post), even the songs were synch. And I think at this point, we had more kisses between Belly and Jeremiah in the show than in the books (1-2)? Also, let's not forget that Belly made out first with Jeremiah then Conrad, then Jeremiah again, as in the book it's first Conrad then Jeremiah, then Conrad. Does it mean something? Who knows? But for all the Jelly ship, this episode was a little victory, because let's face it, this could have been the last episode of the series and I wouldn't mind (and the contrary).

As for the rest : - I didn't where Steven and Connie's sudden friendship came from? (Apparently the actors shared a commun room this time together). - The scene in the car was weird as fuck and the complet opposite of episode 7 where everyone was smiling and laughing. - Conrad was a dangerous jackass in the car, trying to disturb someone who was literally driving, especially on a motorway. - As a "first date" Taylor and Steven were so damn bad to each other, but their conversation about team Jelly and team Bonrad was so good especially Taylor argument, "as her brother how can you vouch for someone whom has literally broken your little sister's heart?" - Just not believable that Jeremiah, her best friend do not know Belly's favourite snack! Come one! - Was expecting Jeremiah to join Belly either under the shower or next to her in bed at some point. - Didn't like that we had to see the three letters with each of their name on it (Belly, Jeremiah and Conrad), as a foreshadowing of the books. - I was expecting to see Cleveland once more before the end, what happened? - I'm definitively a Team Staylor's shipper, but I didn't understand why Steven hasn't stayed for her girlfriend camp. - I just learned that this entire season took place during one week only and the fourth of July is almost there. - I'm pretty sure that Belly was confident about her choice the moment she has put the "Flinch" sweater, then brushing her teeth. - Did you notice that she was wearing a tote bag with a whale as a reference to Cam Cameroun (going on the boat)?

ps: Is Taylor Swift realising a new album soon that's why the show is doing such a promotion for her songs? Otherwise, I really don't see it. Let's not forget that she is train wrack

People who ship Jeremiah and belly romantically I just don’t get it. Like be team Jeremiah but for belly the only person she’s ever truly loved is Conrad. I love that with an adaption every character is super important so as someone who likes both brothers but know it’s Conrad for belly I’m looking forward to seeing if Jeremiah gets a new love interest in season 3 and hopefully enough time to invest in them. Fingers crossed he gets a boyfriend. My friend who hasn’t read the books actually thought Steven and him were a thing the first two episodes and that he has chemistry with cam Cameron. like I can see a different ending with Jeremiah ending up happier with someone else, I don’t see the same for Conrad.

yes, being team jere or team conrad is a taste thing. but i really don't understand why people exclude conrad from the narrative when belly is with jeremiah. i also hated how jenny herself excluded conrad when belly and jere were together, but that's for another rant. so yeah, i absolutely agree with you. and i really do hope that in season three we are getting a decent love interest for jeremiah. i also want him to find a boyfriend cause, let's be hones, i really loved his gavin's chemistry with david who plays cam cameron, so i would be so down for jerecam ship. honestly, i really want to see jere falling for someone who puts him first, who doesn't encourage his competition with conrad and who really sees him. i hope that we would get that storyline for jeremiah in season three, because i think that in parallel of belly realising that conrad is the one for her, it would be interesting to see jere finding another person who is right for him. so bellyconrad, staylor, jerecam or jere/anyone who makes him happy endgames in 2024?

Hi! I want to start by telling that I'm not Conrad girlie nor Jeremiah girlie (I'm actually Staylor girlie lol), so I'm sorry if this question sounds out of place to ask, but I really only follow a few blogs here. I haven't read the books, but going through tag I see that every Jelly fan is talking about cheating being OOC for Jeremiah and I really can't imaging that situation without context, do you have any thoughts about this? And thank you for your wonderful arts! I enjoyed them very much, and also I love that you're staying neutral when discussing Jelly ship because going through different tags I can see girlies shitting on other girlies which Is so toxic actually

hiiii, it's great to see another staylor girlie here! so as for cheating, while jeremiah physically cheated, belly cheated emotionally. and i think that their relationship was doomed from the beginning because, realistically speaking, jumping from one relationship to another is a very unhealthy move. so them starting something when they both clearly knew that belly is not fully over conrad was not a right thing to do, it wasn't fair to jeremiah in the first place. and as for context, belly and jeremiah already had their issues before cheating happened. he became kind of a lazy one in that relationship, he was living his frat boy life and wasn't paying much attention to belly's needs. but also this season proved that belly's such an unreliable narrator, so i really don't think anyone and even jenny han could tell if that was true or if that was true to belly only. anyway, yeah, i think that this laziness is a pretty common issue for couples who are together since high school. i'm not saying that him not paying enough attention is right, i'm saying that it could happen with any couple. and i really don't remember the reason why belly and jeremiah broke up before he cheated, but it doesn't matter actually because cheating is cheating. Secondly, I'm not sure if you ever watched the OC but I can see a lot of parallels between Seth and Summer, especially with the dance scene where Taylor says it's corny and in 1x19 of the OC where Summer says dancing is cheesy.
