Matesprit ❤️ is easy, its just what humans see as romance and true love etc. One of the two reproductive quadrants, yadda yadda you get it.

Examples: - Morticia <3 Gomez - Ruby <3 Sapphire - Darcy <3 Elizabeth, with arguably some grey/black romance thru the story but thats what makes it so enduring

Moirails ♦️ is my personal favorite quadrant and is fairly straightforward, tho the canon definition is different from fanon. In fanon, its interpreted basically as best friends/queerplatonic, which, yeah, can and usually does happen with that proximity and thats why I love it, but in canon its more a power balance to prevent violence and death, typically with one figure reining back a more chaotic one. When applying to humans and other fandoms tho its better to lean toward the slightly fanon interpretation since Alternia's violent culture is so different from ours.

Auspictice ♣️is the one everyone gets wrong and drives me the most insane. It's a tricky and very specific balancing dynamic thats hard to find, except maybe on the CW. Canonically, its a group of three people, two (left and right leaves) want to outright kill each other. This does not make them kismesis, I cannot stress that enough, kismesis don't want each other dead, but we'll get there in a sec. The third person is meant to prevent them from killing each other, being the mediator. Its rare for this dynamic to not be outright toxic, esp in human examples, but its a healthy option on Alternia to prevent unnecessary murder. I think this dynamic is meant to be temporary tho, even in that culture, as it weighs on the mediator a lot.

Kismesis ♠️is. man where do I begin. its so good. its such a fun dynamic, especially when you have a pairing that gets it just right. Kismesis is perfect enemies, arch-rivals that share a mutual respect and drive each other to improve themselves to better outwit their opponent. Its when a captain sees one of their ships on fire and smiles, knowing just who did it. Its tipping your opponents head up by the tip of a sword. Its the bad guy showing up at your doorstep because theres no one else they trust more than their greatest nemesis. Its the other reproductive quadrant because its just as deep and passionate as true love, and it can in fact switch between love and hate very easily and often.

I wish homestuck was seen as less cringe bc the quadrants are SOOO FUN to apply to ships and dynamics in other fandoms and contexts. At the same time, people get the quadrants wrong constantly, especially between kismesis and auspictice. And the quadrants aren't static, you don't have to lock a ship in just one forever! feelings change and very easily turn from black to red to black again, its all so complicated and fun to watch.

Today’s topic focuses more on fitness! Particularly, its effects on the heart’s shape and size. As an athlete myself, I am more than excited to share a summary of this article with you:

1. Exercise is introduced to be an integral tool in maintaining health in individuals by having its benefits mentioned, such as an improved mood, prevention of cardiovascular diseases, as well as stronger muscles. Then a question is asked: What happens if one exercises too much? Both of these increase the risk to get affected by a stroke. Atrial fibrillation possibly occurs in athletes as the enlargement in the chambers (specifically, the atrium) could cause inflammation and scarring, along with the effects of stress and environment. While the reason behind CAC in athletes is not that clear, it does not make them more susceptible to complications.

4. Yet, to conclude the article, the writer mentions how it is still important to exercise within the recommended guidelines as this keeps the heart strong and flexible enough to pump out enough blood for daily processes even at an old age. Something I don’t see often in fantasy books or in articles/posts about worldbuilding is a dynamic setting. It feels static. People don’t seem to usually put a lot of thought into what came before and what came after; it is only about how the world currently is.

Sure you don’t have to plot the whole of human history in your world from the stone age to the modern era but like. So you have a monarchy, as is standard in fantasy. And you might have all these rules for Why My Monarchy is Different. but WHY is it a monarchy? How does it being a monarchy affect the culture? What sort of government came before and how did that transition into a monarchy? peacefully? violently? Approximately where do you see the government going for the Renaissance? The Age of Enlightenment? The Industrial Revolution? Has it always been a monarchy or have there been times of revolution? It might be genre standard, but there’s so many kinds of government out there, not everything needs to be a monarchy.

And then there’s also the people who make a world devoid of homophobia/transphobia/misogyny/racism and don’t put any thought into the holes that leaves behind. Everything is the same except with gay people allowed or with people of color being culturally the same as white people. Which is escapism to some, if you don’t want to think too much about it, but I think it’s a lot more ~interesting~ to consider how that has affected the country’s history (if not world history) and its culture, to actually challenge the status quo as we know it, to think beyond it. This one at least is discussed more frequently, trying to unravel the power dynamics of our world.

The purpose of discrimination is to establish *power*, to have one type of person above all the rest. It is to control everyone else. It is to decide who is allowed in public and political spaces. It is to decide who is allowed to own and inherit property. Much of history is viewed from the lens of the top of the power structure (wealthy men) and everyone else's history has been erased or lost.

What does the world look like without this discrimination? How would the study of/knowledge of history be changed with more access to accounts by minorities/women? What is considered taboo if not gender/sexuality? Are there some kinds of sexuality that are still considered sinful? What does a world look like where any deviation from the norm is not punished? Where the status quo is not actively sought and maintained to preserve power, where the church does not want to regulate the private lives of citizens? What does a world look like when it invites change, when it is dynamic? Furthermore, why is such a country ruled by monarchy?

Or is there some other sort of fantasy discrimination that has taken its place? Does this fantasy discrimination (for example saying that pointed ears make one inferior or all orcs are evil) then become coded for racism? Does it become inappropriate? What people groups are not allowed to have power? Which people groups were conquered, which were conquerors? Or- how did the civilization rise to power without conquering new territories? Where does the money for their nobility/upper class come from? What does a world look like where no people group tried to establish dominance over another people group? What does a world look like without political maneuvering to mark a people group or behavior as bad/sinful in order to create more power? What does a world look like where religious change or dominance is brought about for reasons other than political maneuvering? Is any of that realistic? Would this be too much work to suspend one's disbelief? (and thus it is no longer escapist? no longer easy to read?)

Vitriol Essence CR 6 NE Outsider (elemental) This creature is composed out of reddish liquid. It is vaguely humanoid from the waist up, and from the waist down trails away into a tapering column. Its hands are tipped in claws, and its face has an impish leer. A sour smell emanates from it.

Vitriol essences, or acid elementals, are found in places where the Plane of Earth and the Plane of Water come into contact. Minerals dissolving in elemental water can create pockets of highly concentrated acids, and vitriol essences are born there. They are much more intelligent than typical elementals, and much more wicked. They tend to be bullies and petty tyrants, and usually lurk outside the boundaries of genie territory, or band together into gangs of acrid bandits. Vitriol essences are greedy, but their inherent nature means that most materials dissolve in their touch. As such, gemstones are their favorite treasures, and vitriol essences will go to great lengths to get them. A tribute of gems may be useful in bribing them to leave a party alone, at least temporarily.

A vitriol essence is most commonly found on the Material Plane when called by a spellcaster to serve as a guardian. They dislike being summoned, and so take their frustrations out on whoever is not specified as under protection by the precepts of the conjuring. For starters, while it's not exactly the same as yours, Bubba also has curly, fluffy hair! He loves that your hair is almost like his own, and I can see him being a very tactile person when it comes to his partner, so he'll often play with your curls if you let him (and he's very gentle with you).

Bubba is very similar to you in the sense that when he finds someone he likes, he wants to become very involved with them. He grew up with his brothers and is used to a tight-knit, close, family dynamic, so that absolutely extends to his significant other. The fact that this is mutual makes him feel so giddy!

Because Bubba unfortunately does much, if not most, of the heavy lifting and "messy" work around the Sawyer residence, there are days where the two of you won't see each other as much as you'd like to. One of his favorite things to do when returning to you after a long day is to pull you into his arms (he's still taller than you! He can, and will, tuck you right against him) so the two of you can cuddle the stress and aches of the day away.

Bubba tends to get extremely anxious and sometimes downright afraid on his bad days, and unfortunately none of his brothers really help him calm down. Your logical approach to situations, as well as him and his brothers, actually helps a lot as you can reassure him in a way his brothers either can't, or won't.

Speaking of his brothers, I think Nubbins and Chop Top would like you quite a bit! While Drayton may not exactly love your sarcastic sense of humor, Chop Top and Nubbins sure as hell love your sarcastic and dirty-minded jokes. The fact that you're protective of those you love means that you'll fit in well with them, as the Sawyers tend to be protective of their own (though Bubba would rather die than have you put in any sort of dangerous situation where you have to protect him, and/or his brothers!).

Bubba would give you any gifts he could that he thought you'd like: jewelry from victims, little trinkets he either made himself or found (tooth bracelet, anyone? Though if you preferred something less morbid, how about one of buttons?), and so on. If any art supplies were found in the belongings of a trespasser, they'd most definitely go to you! But anything photography related goes to Nubbins, though. Sorry.

You and Bubba huddled up on the furniture with static-y movies on the old television set would quickly become an incredibly common sight in the house. Iunno, it’s still static sprites that go on a pre-rigged skeleton. It isn’t that much more work. Source: I’ve literally worked on mobile game that uses similar techniques. That said the characters I worked on aren’t nearly as dynamic as they’re only seen from the waist up, but looking at limbo’s animations they need just a couple alternate arms and hands for the most part. Plus there are three variants it feels like they intended a full separate summer servant and then went with costume instead.

i debated answering this bc if i have to see more posts about this subject ill scream but im tired and petty atm and honestly feel like we're not even asking them to make MORE servants just like

i KNOW game development is hard and there's a lot of work that goes into it especially with how detailed and intricate fgo sprites are, but theyve persistently been given feedback that people want this and have done nothing to acknowledge it except doing in-game actions which, to the people who are asking for it, can read a lot like taunting or mockery. yeah, it's nice that they included the extra art hasendow did, but doing it for a wildly popular guy after a tidal wave of people begging for more male alts last year reads a LOT differently than the outfit for shuten douji, who has a welfare alt as well as her 'other self' in the event in a swimsuit. do you understand what im saying? ibuki and douman were released at the same time, and one was VASTLY more popular and profitable, but only one got a multi-ascension alt with a bonus costume and i think it isnt actually unreasonable for his fans to feel put out by that.

like, idk, i just think people are more upset than usual this year bc after all the fallout last year with how bad it was it had felt like fgo was actually getting more equal with how it treated it's cast-and with the announcement that there was going to be three ssrs, i legitimately thought that they WERE going to do a male summer alt, but were worried about the reception so weren't messing with the number of female summer ssrs-and i think other people thought that as well! but instead they continued with the same pattern they've always done, EXCEPT that they made 3 of the summer female alts ssrs instead of 2- which shows they're willing to buck tradition but not in the way people are asking for. the male summer alt thing isnt a new problem, they've had ample time to know that people have really really wanted it, they just dont want to do it, and its really annoying that when you complain about it you get a rush of people coming to defend the devs in various ways-they can't do summer alts of the men NOW bc what about the previous men who already got costumes, they cant do summer alts of the men NOW bc they just changed companies, they can't do summer alts of the men NOW bc they never did before, etc etc etc its just annoying like ok. i get it. you dont want to hear people complain! but if working on all these alts is so hard they can also cut down on the number of female alts...
