Are you ready forā€¦ Starch Radness 6?????
Starch Radness is our Paranatural version of March Madness! Starting on Friday, February 24th, weā€™ll post a poll every Friday pitting your favorite Paranatural powers against each other! Each week, you will vote for your favorite power of the pairs presented. Each poll will close the following Thursday at 7:00 PM Eastern Time so we can tally up the votes. The power with the most votes in its bracket will move on to the next round, where it will be pitted against another power that won its bracket, and the poll for that will be posted the next day (Friday). This will continue for five weeks, and the final winner will be posted on Friday, March 31st!
Participating in Starch Radness is super fun, and to make things more interesting, we are continuing the prediction bracket contest! Information on this will be posted separately, but if you submit a prediction bracket, you could win merch from the Paranatural store!
We canā€™t wait to see how these powers stack up against each other this year, and we hope you have fun!
(Close up of bracket under the cut, apologies for space constraints)

thats right, Every Villain Is Lemons xD
Whoopsie, sorry, back again with recycling content. Recycling is a one of a kind process to create a new item from an used particular materials. Perhaps, its not only a part of waste disposal hierarchy ā€“ Reduce, Reuse, Recycle ; consider this, to reduce energy, and potentially using materials from trashes. We mostly do recycling things from using plastic bags as our shopping bag, to using old papers as our scribbling notes.

We could probably do things creatively using bottles to make a kind of this vertical garden stuff, for example.
Thus I would like to give you some fun facts about ā€˜recycling inventionsā€™ in our entire beloved universe, Earth!
1. A Newspaper that could turn into a plants while it teared up
Tumblr media
((courtesy: yoshinakaono.com))
Japan, the country of the rising sun again, made another wonderful invention calledĀ ā€˜Green Newspaperā€™ And was invented by the publisher of the famous Japanese daily, The Mainichi Shimbunsha.Ā
Iā€™ve heard this was also a part of campaign to reduce paper and ink waste. Thus it will grew you some beautiful flower, it was ideal to decorate your households and outdoor living.
The idea was conceived by Dentsu Inc, one of Japanā€™s largest advertising agencies, which works with ā€œThe Mainichiā€. The green newspaper is not the first sustainable initiative undertaken by the Japanese daily. Its commitment to environmental protection is already well-known thanks to a previous advertising campaign on water donations for populations suffering from thirst. ā€œThe Mainichi doesnā€™t take action only through information, but also by solving global issuesā€. - Lifegate.com
Pretty rad huh? :> Wanna get your own? Go to japan then lol
2.Ā  Edible Rings On Six-Packs Cans
Tumblr media
((courtesy of we believers))
YES I TOLD YOU, ITS EDIBLE. Thank god there would be no more problems for sea creatures. Oh did i mention, sea creatures? Yep,Ā A craft beer company has brewed up a brilliant idea.Saltwater Brewery in Delray Beach, Florida, has created edible six-pack rings that feed, rather than kill, marine life if the rings end up in the ocean and an animal happens to eat it. The rings are created from beer by-products during the brewing process such as barley and wheat and are completely safe for humans and fish to eat.
Tumblr media

3.Ā  Edible Food Packaging Made From Milk Proteins
Much of the plastic packaging we see in the grocery store can be recycled, from egg containers, to milk jugs, to butter tubs. But what about that thin plastic film stretched around wedges of manchego in the cheese bin or the 16-ounce rib-eye in the chiller case?
This case, U.S. Department of Agriculture researchers have discovered that a milk protein called casein can be used to develop an edible, biodegradable packaging film. The casein-based film is up to 500 times better than plastic at keeping oxygen away from food because proteins form a tighter network when they polymerize, the researchers found. Itā€™s also more effective than current edible packaging materials made from starch and protects food products that are sensitive to light.

4. This designer invented a new way to recycle
27-Year-Old Dave Hakkens revolutionize recylcing by inventing machine. He making a project based calledĀ ā€œPrecious Plasticā€ He invent a series of machine to create some particular objects.

5.Ā  Making women's shoes from recycled water bottles
Rothy's, a US fashion startup, are making women's shoes out of recycled plastic bottles. The shoes are made completely from recycled materials and can be put together in just 6 minutes by a 3D knitting machine.
Tumblr media
Didnā€™t think itā€™s possible to get a perfect balance of fashion and function? Think again.
6. These new down jackets and vests made almost entirely of recycled materials
Patagonia is one of the most trusted clothing brand in outdoor and cold-weather clothes and accessories. This season, Patagonia is taking another big step in the right direction in terms of keeping the earth clean, debuting its re\\\collection line of clothing.
The re\\\collection line expands on Patagonia's most recent efforts to produce sustainable clothing. This new line takes resourcefulness to another level, constructed from 100% recycled wool and 100% recycled polyester, as well as 85% recycled polyester labels, 80% recycled zippers, and 50% recycled buttons.

7. Environmentalists made a prototype bike using recycled paper
A group of mexican environmentalists designed a bicycle that is made mostly from recycled paper.
The Urban CG1 also contains parts made from rubber, plastic, and metal - which the creators say can be reused. The designers say the bike is waterproof, thanks to a polystyrene paint which they claim is "ecological."
Tumblr media
IĀ ā€˜ve heard they had been passing this project to kickstarter, go check it out!!
8. The new Olympic medals might be made from recycled smartphones
The medals for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo may be made from an unlikely source: discarded smartphones.
According to Nikkei Asian Review's Ken Sakakibara, Japan's "urban mine" is home to millions of smartphones and other discarded electronics. That mine contains enough precious metals to create all the gold, silver, and bronze medals necessary for the Olympic and Paralympic games in 2020.
The amount of gold, silver and copper sitting in that mine is staggering: the report claims that in 2014, 143kg of gold, 1,566kg of silver, and 1,112 tons of copper were recovered from electronic waste in Japan. Compared to the 9.6kg of gold, 1,210kg of silver and 700kg of copper used to produce the 962 medals awarded in the 2012 London Olympic Games, Japan is sitting on more than enough materials to produce the medals. - Insiders UK

9. A device turns bottles into plastic string.
Enough plastic bottles are thrown away each year to circle the earth four times. The Plastic Bottle Cutter hopes to help change that, and found an innovative way to recycle bottles.

Pretty Rad? grab for your own device on the link above, and check this out.
10. A micro-library made of 2,000 recycled ice cream containers
Finally, the last fact. This fact was finally take an insight in our beloved country, Indonesia.
An architect Florian Heinzelmann traveled around Indonesia, he noticed that many villages lacked communal spaces. That's why he - and his Netherlands-based design firm, Shau - decided to create a small public library in the village of Bandung.Like most libraries, the goal is to foster a love of reading and encourage community members to hang out, Heinzelmann tells Tech Insider. But unlike most libraries, it's made of 2,000 used ice cream buckets.
Tumblr media
Located in Bandung, Indonesia, the micro-library measures just 1,720 square feet ā€” about half the size of a one-car garage. It was completed in July 2016.
Take a peek of the full article here :>
Thatā€™s it for the facts today. Well as a human, I may conclude that human creation is great. As a monotheist, God creation is Absolute than ever!! We, human, must keep and mantain the creation of the universe, earth to keep it living in decades. Human may create, but they had to remember....
Human must keeping it sake alive.
Thank you for reading, and please, keep your trashes to its belongings. Have a nice day :)

Goodies Against the Grain: Sadieā€™s Story (and 2 Amazing Recipes) + IG Giveaway
Todayā€™s guest post is offered up by Sadie Radinsky, whom I had the pleasure of chatting with on a recent episode of her podcast, Jump For Joy. I think youā€™re going to love her story and be inspired by her successā€”in reclaiming her health and in following her passion. And the recipes sheā€™s serving up? Grok never had it so good. Just in time for Valentineā€™s Day. Enjoy, everyone! And be sure to check out the giveaway at the end.
Hi, Markā€™s Daily Apple! Iā€™m Sadie, a 16-year-old food blogger, Paleo dessert chef and writer. I am so excited to share my health journey with you today, as well as two scrumptious Valentineā€™s Day treat recipes.
A little background about me: I grew up a vegetarian, with a diet that consisted mainly of whole grain products, beans, veggies, fruit, and the occasional fish. All of this would soon change because at the age of nine, I had to miss six months of school due to health issues. Every day I would wake up with intense stomach pain, fatigue and nausea. Most days it was hard to get out of bed. Pretty fun, right?
My parents knew something was wrong, but they just didnā€™t know what. My mom took me to countless Eastern and Western doctors, and stillā€¦ no diagnosis. One day, she had the brilliant idea that I should go gluten-free for a little while and see how it made me feel.
Two months later, I was completely healed.
Food has an immense power on our bodies. As a nine-year-old, it was empowering to see how changing my diet made me a healthy and happy person, free from pain. Oh, but the change did not stop there!
When my family stayed at a farm in Vermont that summer, I tried beef for my first time. This was beef from cattle who had spent their days munching on green grass pastures at the farm. It was then my family realized we could eat meat while still upholding our belief that animals should be raised humanely, in good conditions. Plus, our meal options were rapidly decreasing as gluten-free vegetarians, and my mom needed some darn food to put on the dinner table!
However, there was still a problem: I loved baked goods, but all the gluten-free treats in stores were overly processed and dry. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands! I began making gluten-free dessert recipes that I found online. I soon stumbled upon a Paleo recipe for Sugar Cookies, and I was enthralled; the cookies used nutrient-dense ingredients like coconut and almond. I realized this Paleo diet was the same thing my dad had been so excited about recently! Eventually, I began concocting my own recipes. This led to the creation of my Paleo dessert blog, Goodies Against The Grain, when I was twelve.
Soon, it was not only treats. My family began eating almost completely Paleo, save for some occasional grass-fed butter and cheese. We all felt amazing! Any bellyaches I used to get from rice and corn went completely away.
Now I am an avid runner and yogi with loads of energy and not a stomach ache in sight! Going Paleo truly changed my life.
Along with creating Paleo treats for my blog, I have written articles about teen empowerment and food for Justine, Shape, andĀ PaleoĀ Magazine. I am now writing a healthy lifestyle cookbook for teens (coming soon!). You can also listen to my podcast, Jump For Joy, and the episode I recorded with Mark here. Make sure to followĀ @goodiesagainstthegrain for more healthy recipes and lifestyle tips!
Oh, one last thing: always remember to treat yourself (literally). I believe you should never deprive yourself of fun desserts just because youā€™re on a gluten-free, Paleo or Keto diet. Thatā€™s why Iā€™ve created some DELICIOUS, chocolaty, healthy recipes for you today! Letā€™s get into those nowā€¦
Red Velvet Raspberry Fudge Bombs
Theyā€™re rich, fudgy, raspberry-y and just about the best thing ever. They have a few secret ingredients that youā€™d be surprised of: avocado and Chocolate Collagen Fuel. Yup, thatā€™s right! These truffles get their smooth texture from avocados, and an extra boost of protein from the collagen. So basically, by eating these treats, youā€™re making yourself a healthier person! The white chocolate drizzle is totally optional, but I think it adds a romantic flare and amazing flavor.
Makes 12
Ingredients
Fudge:
Ā¾ cup avocado meat (approx. 1Ā½ avocados)
1 cup raw cashews
3 scoops Chocolate Collagen Fuel (or other favorite protein powder)
1 Tablespoon melted coconut oil
2 Tablespoons cacao powder
3Ā½ Tablespoons freeze-dried raspberry powder (see below)*
3 teaspoons granulated monk fruit sweetener**
Coating:
5 Tablespoons freeze-dried raspberry powder*
Drizzle (optional):
Ā¼ cup finely chopped raw cacao butter
3 Tablespoons full-fat coconut milk
1 Tablespoons coconut oil
Ā½ teaspoon granulated monk fruit sweetener**
Directions
1. Using a food processor or high-speed blender, pulse the cashews and coconut oil until smooth. Blend in all the other fudge ingredients until creamy. 2. Scoop mixture into a bowl and freeze for 30 minutes. 3. Meanwhile, for some extra flare, make the drizzle: melt the drizzle ingredients together in a small saucepan over low heat until theyā€™re all combined and smooth. Remove from heat and let cool for at least 10 minutes. 4. Scoop the chilled fudge dough into 12 balls. Roll in the raspberry powder coating and place on a plate. Drizzle the white chocolate coating on top, then serve. 5. Store leftover fudge bombs in the freezer and defrost for 5 minutes before eating.
Notes: *To make raspberry powder, smash the contents of two small bags of freeze-dried raspberries using a mortar + pestle or spice grinder. I used two 1.2 oz bags of freeze-dried raspberries from Trader Joeā€™s. Then, push the powder through a fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds. Now, measure the powder for the recipe. **You could also sub maple sugar here, but I cannot guarantee results will be the exact same.
Mini Chocolate Bundt Cakes
Donā€™t you wish you could enjoy a special Valentineā€™s day bundt cake while still sticking to your Keto or Paleo diet? Oh, waitā€¦ you can! These legit cakes are sweetened with monk fruit, so they donā€™t have any sugar. Plus, they use avocado oil as a fat, so youā€™re simultaneously eating chocolate cake while boosting every cell is your body. Pretty rad, if may say so myself! The texture is exactly that of a traditional chocolate cake, so Iā€™m sure you will adore it.
Yields 6 mini bundt cakes (which are quite larger than a normal cupcake).
Ingredients
Wet:
1/3 cup dark chocolate, chopped
4 large eggs
1/3 cup + 2 Tablespoons almond milk
Ā¼ cup + 1 Tablespoon avocado oil (or sub melted butter), plus more for greasing
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry:
1Ā½ cups blanched almond flour
3 Tablespoons tapioca starch
2 Tablespoons coconut flour
6 Tablespoons granulated monk fruit sweetener**
Ā¼ cup cacao powder
Ā½ teaspoon baking soda
Ā¼ teaspoon sea salt
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 350Ā° F. Use avocado oil to grease a mini bundt pan (mine had 6 wells) or a muffin tin. 2. Using a double boiler or a small saucepan on low heat, melt the chocolate, then let it cool for 10 minutes. 3. In a stand mixer or using handheld mixer, whisk together the eggs until frothy. Add in the other wet ingredients and mix until smooth. 4. In a separate large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients. Slowly, whisk the dry into the wet and stir until smooth. 5. Pour the batter evenly into the bundt pan wells. Bake for 20 minutes. Then, let them cool for 30 minutes before flipping the pan over to remove the cakes.
Note:Ā **You could probably substitute coconut sugar here for a non-Keto version, but I havenā€™t tested it yet.
