1.01 Aftermath v.s. 1.16 Kamino Lost

open nature v.s. confined metal infastructure

the sinister nature of both situations: we open with the battle on Kaller, which quickly turns into Order 66. we close with Nala Se being brought to a mysterious Imperial building because of her "scientific talents".

the lack of colour, the dullness and dreariness, in both scenes

also the "cold", chilly, lack of warmth vibes of both places

2.01 Spoils of War v.s. 2.16 Plan 99

bright colours v.s. dreary, depressing; dark, sinister

((perfectly fitting considering we start Season 2 with CF99 on a more "fun" lighthearted mission on this beautiful tropical island; Tech is alive, Omega is safely with them.

then we end Season 2 with Tech dead, Omega captured, and Crosshair also as a prisoner being tortured and experimented on. depressing INDEED.))

the optimism, hope, bright outlook of Ep 1 v.s. the foreboding, bleak outlook at the end of Ep 16.

visually it's a very stark change, exactly like what everyone in CF99 experiences from ep 1 to 16.

(even Crosshair, arguably. no he doesn't feel "brightly happy" about his situation in ep 1, but he's still firmly with the Empire. and then by season's end he's risking his life to protect Omega & his old squad and winding up as a prisoner of torture and experimentation. a stark transition of his own.)

3.01 Confined v.s. 3.15 The Cavalry Has Arrived

though you can't see it, both shots feature a lone spaceship -- a shuttle flying into Tantiss the prison v.s. Omega flying her mini-Marauder away from Pabu to join the Rebellion.

another (re)introduction + masterlists - 2024 edition

In 2022, I found & joined the world of fanfiction and I've met the best group of people, readers, and even my partner in the process. This is just another brief updated introduction to myself as I feel like so much has changed in these two years!

About Me:

You can call me Kay, and please do. Pronouns: he/him. I’m still a political science grad student and legal nerd in the U.S. who’s neurodiverse and has been writing their entire life. On occasion, I work on original fiction but everything here is of the fandom variety. I'll never get enough of old sitcoms, rom-coms, literary fiction, and there's hardly any kind of music I don't enjoy, though my love for jazz is eternal. I’m also over the age of 21 and as an adult writer, for adult readers, there will occasionally be 18+ nsfw content shared.

Here on my blog, expect to see me post updates, writing plans, snippets, teases, and fic ideas! My asks are always open for questions, interactions, or sending me ideas — I’m here for it all — though I don't take formal requests. I’m also tag-game friendly, and love “meeting” people that way. And I’m always down to chat!

My Writing:

It all started from a love of Padmé Amidala and a desire to see more fan works that centered on her -- so I wrote them!

Many of my stories are centered on Anakin x Padmé’s relationship, with quite a bit of the little Skywalkers weaved in there. Personally, I love AUs for both reading and writing and most of my stories, though not all, are Modern AUs that I’ve taken a lot of care in creating to stay true to characterization.

As a general rule, I like focusing on friendships and familial relationships along with romantic ones, so expect to almost always see other characters joining along the way in all of my writing across fandoms. Many of my stories are domestic or family fluff, but there is some slice of life, hurt/comfort, and light angst mixed in. 

While my work began with Anidala, I am a multi-shipper and multi-fandom with a growing number of works for DinLuke and across the Marvel universe - the latest obsession being SteveNat.
