I love the fact that the Silvermane Guards are essentially just a very devoted "We Love Gepard Landau" fanclub, and I desperately need for all of them to get into ship wars about it behind their Captain's back. The soldiers are all split into several factions:

Some of them ship him with Sampo 🛡💣 (enemies to lovers/hateship enjoyers; this does not necessarily mean they like Sampo- in fact it's more like most of them want to sic their Captain on him skzjsmdm)

Some of them ship him with Bronya 👑🛡 (knight and princess trope enjoyers and also a sorta-kinda "that is our mom and dad" type of deal; this faction gets riled up and ridiculously hypes Gepard up to Bronya every time she comes down to the frontlines mskdkxmd)

Some of them ship him with the trailblazer 🛡💫 (the smallest and newest faction, but steadily gaining!)

Some of them ship him with Pela ❄🛡 (workplace romance enjoyers; Gepard once charged out into the Fragmentum alone to save Pela from an expedition gone horribly wrong, and when this faction saw Gepard carrying Pela back princess style they threw a whole party)

Some of them ship him with Dunn 🛡🗡 (also workplace romance; Dunn is very flattered by this because yeah wrong Landau, but wow, the troops really think he's good enough to woo the Captain, what an honor)

And some of them ship themselves with the Captain 🛡❤ (yumejoshi enjoyers; this faction throws a massive group effort every Valentine's Day and are also all very supportive of each other)

The final faction is an odd one, because they're defined not by who they ship their beloved Captain Gepard with, but rather by who they don't ship him with. Their name is generally shortened to the A.B.S. Group- Anybody BUT Sampo 🚫💣 DKSZJJSMSOZ

Just My Thoughts Pt. 30

As we approach the end of FT 100 YQ (manga), I have a lot of expectations and hopes for a good ending that’s well thought out and developed. Right now we are entering into Ignia’s arc which is probably the most anticipated one of the series so far and I really hope it’s not disappointing. The other arcs were good not great in the sense that they could’ve been developed a bit more since some parts seemed rushed or underwhelming.

Starting off with Lucy, I think there is a lot that could be done with her. While there were some parts where she was displayed well such as the Star dress mix or her battles during Selene’s arc, I think that she should have the spotlight at some point. She is often used for fan service and I don’t really have a care for that but it undermines her intelligence and soft hearted personality. For instance, in the original series we have seen her come up with great ideas such as closing the eclipse gate, sacrificing Aquarius, and using fairy sphere. And not to forget, she was also the one to figure out where Mavis’ grave was located during Tenrou island arc. I don’t really recall any memorable aspects of the 100 YQ that can even hold a candle to these from the original manga.

Therefore, I truly believe she’s in a need to showcase her abilities especially her intellect way more. Perhaps a mini arc for her reunion with Aquarius (via finding her key) or some interaction with Ignia. I have wondered why 100 YQ has been accomplished in over a century and of course Agnologia has some part in creating fear but is that truly all there is too it’s incompletion? I am hoping for something a bit more complex. Maybe Lucy can figure this out. Maybe she can have a battle all on her own. She’s grown so much since the start of the entire franchise and I would love to see her fight against multiple opponents at once. No help from the others. I would also love to see more Star dress mixes or maybe a new development. She’s most definitely the strongest and most powerful celestial mage, even surpassing Anna who probably held that position for a long time.

Or she can find out more about who Ignia is. We know he’s Igneel’s biological son but what was their relationship like? How come Natsu didn’t know much about him? What are Ignia’s true intentions? What does he want with all of the mages with fire related magic abilities? I really hope the ending isn’t downplayed like the original story with END because let’s all be honest, it was so disappointing because where was the drama?! Everything that has been hyped up with showing END as this awful villain was not shown properly. I also think a connection back to Lucy’s fear of Natsu’s flames caused by Ignia would be interesting. I desperately need this to happen!

Anyway I’m getting off track but I just want Lucy to shine through her battle strategy, intelligence, and her amazing personality at least once before the end of the manga.

I can’t stay quiet about this, I need to scream it to SOMEBODY ANYBODYYY

Dan Heng and Blade were Dan Feng and Yingxing. “Dh and Bld are Df and Yx!” Nope, their current selves aren’t them, that lacks nuance. “Dh and Bld aren’t Df and Yx!” THAT ALSO LACKS NUANCEE they are still connected and fundamentally shaped by their past identities, they aren’t entirely separate from them while also still being separate in a way. The best way I can describe it is like a venn diagram, there is overlap, but there also are still areas where they don’t.

To expand more, I wanna talk about the way they foil each other a bit in this sense. For Dan Heng, even if he is a botched rebirth, simply a “de-aged Dan Feng” not fully reborn, he is still not Dan Feng. While Dan Feng has made up the basis of his personality and he accepts him as his past, I think we forget that Dan Heng had his own entire childhood after the molting rebirth was completed. One he spent imprisoned by the Ten Lords Commission, and then he was exiled when he was old enough leading to his whole journey until he became apart of the Astral Express crew etc etc. Dan Heng is made up of a basis of Dan Feng + All of his own memories and experiences. While he shares traits with Dan Feng such as personality aspects like his stubbornness, his technique with a spear, and being able to connect with his old items, he also is very much himself with his own outlook and traits shaped by what he’s learned rather than what he has been born with. To treat him as if he is Dan Feng exactly is a disservice to both of their characters and the greater narrative that they apart of. He may still carry the burdens and karma of Dan Feng, but Dan Heng is still making his own future.

Now, Blade. Blade similarly is not Yingxing, not completely. Though he accepts Yingxing’s sin as his own and is intent of repaying the sin of Dan Feng and Yingxing (and getting Dan Heng to repay it too), there still are distinctions between him and Yingxing. In fact, I’d argue there are more things separating them. I could talk for so long again about the layered use of craftsmanship to connect, or rather disconnect, the two identities of Blade and Yingxing, but there’s more than that. “Now, ██ had died. His first — and only — death.” “From this moment on, that body will be the one and only "Blade."” Although Blade was Yingxing, a disconnect exists between them through the death of Yingxing. He awoke with no memories of his past, no even his name, until Jingliu came along, instilled in him her ideologies, made him remember, not only his past sins but the feeling of death so that he might inflict it onto others. As she said, he was reborn and had even given himself a name…

I want to add that the specific ways in which their current identities exist in proximity to their past ones foil each other. As I said, Dan Heng, in part as his sabotaged rebirth, is built upon the foundation of Dan Feng and all of his own experiences and memories. He has the capacity to gain back more memories of Dan Feng as his DH IL character stories outline, and though he is still himself and still moves forward, we see him accept his relation to Dan Feng eventually. Though that past life of his is clouded by fog and mist, he may eventually be able to push away the clouds that block him and understand more, about Dan Feng and in turn about himself. With Blade, it is so heavily emphasized in game from his relic lore to the very sword he uses that his mind is essentially broken, due both in part to the trauma of Jingliu’s “teachings” and the mara that was brought on by those lessons. He can’t fully remember everything about Yingxing, in fact actively remembering such or seeing familiar things is harmful to him. Like his shard sword, he is made of broken pieces, put together in a way that can never erase the cracks, and continuously shattering before being glued together again. His life is shaped by Yingxing’s past, the trauma he has endured is directly caused by his past actions. Unlike Dan Heng, he hasn’t had this whole life to build up and live. Though he’s experienced new things, they don’t shape him and change him in the way that Dan Heng’s built his identity up.

Where Dan Heng basically has supplements to Dan Feng’s identity that make him who he is, Blade is the broken shards and pieces of Yingxing that weren’t lost to the waves, making him who he is. Dan Heng is a next chance, finally free from the Preceptors’ control and of the role that stripped his past selves of their individuality, meanwhile Blade is the husk left behind of Yingxing’s regrets, broken by trauma caused due to Yingxing’s past actions, forever tormented by his past until he inevitably is able to die. If Dan Heng is more than just Dan Feng which is why he is separate but intertwined with him, than Blade is less than Yingxing, in a way that has caused such a severe disconnect that has caused Blade to have his own identity still shaped. And looking at this, not to again bring up my craftsmanship post about Blade, Dan Heng can connect to Dan Feng. He can clear the fog, remembering his memories through dreams even if he can’t fully connect emotionally to him, and he finds sentiment in many of items that once were his, smth not many Vidyadhara actually are capable of doing. To contrast, Blade is forever separated from connecting completely to Yingxing’s identity. His memories will always be fragmented, his own path entirely changed. He can’t connect to Yingxing’s past goals and passions, seen through the distinct decision made in his character stories to talk about how he can no longer use his hands to forge weapons (something that completely defined Yingxing’s life and legacy, tied to his childhood trauma and hatred of the Abundance, something that became his genuine passion), and how none of that mattered to Blade.

All of this, the ways they foil each other and the separation between their past selves and current, just makes me love their dynamic and their lore a lot. Makes me want to cry most days of my life if I’m honest. And it’s part of why I do take issue with the way nuance has completely left this argument, only having two extremes of “Dan Heng is Dan Feng!” Or “Dan Heng isn’t Dan Heng!” Again… Dan Heng WAS Dan Feng, he wouldn’t be Dan Heng without Dan Feng, but he is still himself. That’s part of the tragedy between them. They are still fundamentally defined and shaped by their past selves, similarities able to be spotted if they can be remembered, but they’ve also experienced so much that has changed them, and they can never truly go back to being Dan Feng and Yingxing. It would never be fully the same again.

YES I played genshin for a bit but not much since I started playing star rail, I think I like star rail a lot better because of the combat style where it’s not dependant on my reflexes lol and also the story and world, I think genshin is a lot more exploration which is nice but also. Star rail has train in space so which. Come on you can’t come on you can’t compete with that. I really love star rail in case you couldn’t tell lol, my favorite characters in it are my trailblazer, I feel like has more of her own personality and she’s a lot more developed as a character than the traveler in genshin, March 7th (I love her!!! Her and the trailblazer are girlfriends I think) Sampo, Hook and her dad, Natasha, and Seele (I really hope I get her at some point)

Emblem: The Deadly symbol from Plants vs. Zombies Heroes

Argent and Sable are two siblings that act as the antiheroic foils to Monarch, Ladybug, and Cat Noir. They come from a long line of witches and warlocks that know how to create potions that match a Miraculous’s power if not surpass it. Their most infamous potion is a black one that gives them enhanced versions of the same powers of transmission and emotion that Shadow Moth had until they drink water, which is an act that turns off its power. (For clarity’s sake, Gabriel was Shadow Moth when they arrived in Paris.) Dragonflies are the vessels of the Branson Potion’s power. The potion’s effects work on its user; it has the ability to turn Argent and Sable into Assassin Bug and Cat Vert, Ladybug and Cat Noir’s antiheroic counterparts and the Branson Potion’s most powerful forms. Argent’s Assassin Bug persona got its name because he knew that Assassin Bugs eat Ladybugs and used that knowledge to accentuate his rivalry with Ladybug. Sable’s Cat Vert persona got its name because green is her favorite color. Assassin Bug has a black yo-yo that comes with a Skeleton Charm that conjures the best possible weapon for any combat scenario, but it also comes with the caveat of having to determine its exact purpose, like items conjured by Ladybug’s Lucky Charm. Cat Vert can conjure Chaotic Cataclysms. Chaotic Cataclysm’s basic powers are fundamentally the same as a regular Cataclysm’s, and that’s the reason why Sable gave herself extra powers to go with the main ones. She can use Chaotic Cataclysm to create a green sphere that weakens any living thing that stands in its area of effect. The end goal of the Branson Siblings is the unmasking of Monarch, and they’ll go to any length that’s within their own respective reasons to do so.

Bone Orchard

Akumatized Object: A chicken’s femur bone

Bone Orchard was the result of a test. Argent didn’t know if he had the ability to empower non-living things and used a chicken’s femur bone during his experiments with his powers. His experiments resulted in the creation of Bone Orchard, a bone themed golem that fires marrow at its enemies.

“Bone Orchard, I deny you death and give you the power to grant destruction en masse. I’m sure you understand my assignment: Find Monarch and unmask him.”

Akumatized Object: Sable’s IPhone XR

Imagine a Lightsaber and a Green Lantern Ring combined and you’ll have Hack-San 16.1.1. Whosoever holds Hack-San 16.1.1 wields a powerful energy blade that’s as strong as its user’s will. It cuts through all but the strongest materials when it’s at its best.

The late Daft Punk and the Laserman Bakugan species were the basis of this antihero. Alya’s Leap Sting persona allows her to fire purple lasers at a range equal to 4 city blocks. Leap Sting was the first antihero to intervene when Kliff came to broker an alliance with Monarch.

“Kliff’s worse than Monarch if you ask me. I’m partial to rebels that have a cause, which makes Kliff a problem because I don’t know what makes him tick.”

An upgrade to Winston’s abilities. His Rika Kong persona increases his Tesla Cannon’s power, his strength, and his already immense intellect.

Monarch tried to akumatize Argent in the middle of one of his combat training sessions, but had no idea that he had counted on him trying that, akumatized his Akuma, and overrode its power until he told him. As a humanoid Lymantria Dispar moth, Argent has the ability to fly and use wind based attacks.

Sable got drunk on Cherry Coca-Cola and akumatized herself into this pirate themed form during her stupor. By the time she came to, she had MacGyvered a pirate ship to call her very own. She involved this form and her ship in many antiheroic acts in the time since her Kaizoku persona was first devised.
