I FINISHED IT!!

the thing i lovingly refer to as my 6 month star blanket is finally finished, and i think she's gorgeous. the free pattern for this blanket and many many others is by Betty McKnit. I can definitely see myself making another one of her patterns, it was so easy to understand and turned out *chef's kiss*

the blanket is 46 inches across and 55 from point to point

so pretty and textured finally its done

shes not blocked but i absolutely loved this pattern. it was meant to be a stashbusting project but shes adorable!! its made of heavier duty yarn so its probably gonna be a picnic blanket/outdoor table cloth, but im not super worried about that right now lmao

Working on a scrap yarn blanket

Growing up, I always heard that when crocheting, you're supposed to weave in the hair that falls into your project. Good luck. Wishes. Strength. It's what I've always done.

But as we all know, sometimes a project has to be unraveled. Walked back to the start and tried again.

But the woven hairs are strong. They stick and stay in ways most yarn doesn't. So when you unravel, your only choice is to break the hairs.

Break the wishes. Break the strength.

Begin anew.
