contents of desk pen cup #1 : different bics (mostly round stic grip, blue & black) and one or two of those awful cristal ones, paper mate write bros, paper mate flex grip ultra, paper mate comfort-mate, couple old pentel RSVPs, old pilot precise deluxe bolds that are very old and always leak everywhere when I try to use one (might be due to age; I remember them being excellent), old bic mechanical pencils (.7), old dead apple pencil that I didn't know you had to keep charged or it gets bricked, an old cwa union pen that I probably got out of the junk drawer (purple/yellow), Kuretake brush tip pen, a "fabric master" flat shader paint brush that my sister didn't want (never found a good use for it), speedball dip pen, 1 black sharpie, a few pentel quicker clicker mechanical pencils (.5 and .7), tombow dual brush tip pen, a fancy squishy yellow rubber Xonex business type pen that my sister's boyfriend gave me when I graduated in 2000, and then he decided he wanted it back and when I said no, he broke the metal clip on the side of it, Tachikawa dip pen, Standardgraph dip pen, a couple of old Dixon Oriole #2 pencils (my old go-to drawing pencil) (I heard they still make the Ticonderogas, but supposedly the quality is garbage now), and a Winnie the Pooh float pen I bought at Disneyland a million years ago that is now broken (twist mechanism is busted but I could fix it with the right part).

My father was a joiner. When he used to make plans for customers he always used to label them with this stencil. I think this stencil is one of the earliest things I remember from his workshop. 5. what do you enjoy drawing? 

People, I really love exploring faces so to say aha. It’s the most fun to finally discover how to draw a specific part of someone’s face so that the drawing resembles that person. It always takes a while to really understand someone’s face. I also love drawing plants and lots of details, let it be fancy clothes or a flower bouquet.

6. what’s your favorite thing to do for an art piece (coloring, shading, lineart etc)?

Definitely line art and shading! These two go hand-in-hand in my drawing style. I like to separate painting with colors (watercolor, acrylics) and black-and-white drawings. Coloring in drawings is always my least favorite thing to do haha.

18. favorite art supply brand? 

Tbh, I don’t really have one. The one I use most consistently is probably Faber Castell and Copic and Standardgraph for fine liners, but with all other supplies, I just buy whatever.

I never post stationery only photos on Instagram, they’re just “not my speed”. I also don’t like to use colored pens to take notes, hence it would never even suit my feed or my “aesthetics”... So here’s a pretty photo of all of my black and grey pens and fineliners 😍😍😍

For the past twenty-five years, he has written about twenty books published by Gallimard, Fayard, Le Seuil… His new autobiographical novel, RARE, relates the life and thoughts day by day of a Parisian man of letters obsessed by a question: ‘What is writing’. In this way, RARE is the diary of a writing process. This story, which starts in English and continues in French, relates its own transformation all along the conception and the extravagant redaction of ‘Chaos Brûlant’. 26.8.17 // Favorite pens + most used for Bullet Journaling!

A few weeks ago, I posted about my favorite pens for bullet journaling on my Instagram, which you can find HERE. I thought it would be a good idea to share them with you all on here as well!

In no particular order, here are all of the pens that I use in my bullet journal: 

- Pentel Superb G BK401 in 0.7 - Staedtler ball 432 M (black) - UniPin Fine Line in 0.5 and 0.8 - Standardgraph Tec Pen in 0.2 and 0.5 - Sakura Pigma Micron Pen in 0.5 and 0.8 - Fila Tratto Pen in No.03 - Staedtler Triplus Color (black) I only use different black fine liners and pens in my bullet journal!
