When it comes to seducing someone, or asking someone out, Stan’s pretty organized about it.

He’s a military man, and he will treat it like a military operation lol

He’ll learn all he can about your interests, your perfect date, anything like that.

Of course, this isn’t some creepy shit, if he feels you two won’t mesh, he won’t try to date you. But if he takes you out, he wants it to be as nice as possible. So, he’s thorough.

Plus, looking into potential partners like this saves him some time and money, since he can usually gauge whether or not you two would mesh or have fun.

XENO

Xeno simply isn’t someone who dates much. He’s a bit of a workaholic I’d imagine.

That’s not to say he doesn’t have the desire to date, he simply lacks the silver tongued skill Stan has.

So, if Xeno asks you out or tries to seduce you, it will be blunt.

Of course, with how analytical he is, like Stan, it will be well researched. If he asks you out, it’ll be blunt, but he’ll mean that shit.

Just...don’t expect a lot of smooth talk and charm about it. He’s not Stan, he will probably talk a lot about unethical sciences over dinner.

As a pair, you are doomed.

They come together to be well-informed on your interests and tastes, and Stan is there to balance out Xeno’s caveman-esque techniques.

Chapter 221 Trivia

I hope you like Stanley, because this is mostly about Stanley.

Once again we have Stanley represented as the knight. Sure Xeno was his original princess (even if he denies it), but now his princess seems to be the rocket.

Will Stanley get a fairy tale ending?

Xeno obviously wants to keep up his act as a villain, but Ryusui is denying him the privilege.

Stanley's original criteria for revival were loosely based on society being up and running, which is now the case as Ryusui mentions here. Like they'd agreed earlier, what Stanley did was considered justifiable acts of warfare and thus they trust him as a soldier.

Stanley and Xeno are both said to be 180 cm tall on their character files, yet in this picture there's clearly a height difference.

Obviously, the only explanation for this is so that Stanley could fondly tilt Xeno's head up towards him in the following pages.

Stan's new outfit makes him look less imposing and inhuman than his previous one, and instead mimics the buttons on the the front of a double-breasted military jacket.

The double "V" of his belt buckles could be the zig-zag of the American clothing, or it's two halves of an X.

(Conspiracies for the belt buckle, don't take these seriously:

a marker that he's loyal to Xeno

a simplification of the current KoS crossed-rockets flag

Stanley's scar is still here, but it's changed slightly: the line across the bridge of his nose is gone.

However it may fully disappear soon, since he'll be petrified on the rocket. This change will likely mark his atonement.

This is a brand new lighter based off the one Stanley had before they got petrified. For most of the Americas arc he simply used matches, apart from the "gag" lighter that looks like his handgun.

This is, in fact, Stanley and Senku's first conversation (if you can even call this one).

Before now, Senku's never allowed Stanley to get close enough, and they never communicated directly over the radios either.

All Ryusui has wanted since he was a child was to make one of his models a reality and to pilot it himself, along with the help of his brother Sai.

Now, he's forced to sacrifice that dream for the greater good.

Sai knows this, which is why he's shown in the same room Ryusui was (across the table from him? In the same seat? It doesn't seem to be the same window, but the rocket is aligned the same.)

It looks like Stan does say the exact same thing: "dekiru ne", which literally translates to "I can". The "ne" at the end is used as a form of agreement, similar to saying "right?" in English. I sort of wish it was translated the same...

Stanley met you when he came to Xeno’s house when he was 9 years old, the two were chilling in Xeno’s room when you knocked and came in asking your brother for help with your homework. 

It wasn’t love at first sight per say, he was young and had no idea of what love even was 

But that moment he saw you, remained burned at the back of his mind.

Suddenly, Stanley didn’t mind Xeno dragging him home for science experiments, if it meant catching a glimpse of you everytime you ask your brother for help with homework. 

At 10 years old, you and Stanley became friends, your interest in your brother’s science endeavours brought you to spend more time with the duo, making you their 3rd companion. 

Stanley loved seeing you marvel at your brother’s antics, the wide eyes look you’d give when you saw something interesting, sending him a huge grin as if saying ‘stan, look! It’s so cool!!.’ 

Or the way you’d hide behind him when you realised that the experiment was about to explode.

You weren’t like Xeno though whose interest was only in science, you liked physical activities too, and that’s where Stanley came in. 

Oh, your brother doesn’t wanna play basketball with you? Stanley will teach you.

You wanna play volleyball? Stanley will play with you.

Wanna play baseball? Football? Swimming? Badminton? Stanley’s your man.

Of course, you both make Xeno accompany you during some of these, but Stanley enjoys it more with just the two of you.

At the age of 12, you and Stanley were inseparable. And as you both grew up, Stanley’s crush on you grew too. He was now very much aware of his feelings for you. So he’d do anything for you.

Forgot your lunch? He’ll share with you

Need help with homework? He’s not as smart as your brother, but he’s smart enough.

You’re getting bullied? Not on his watch

Each smile you’d give his way gave him butterflies. 

Each interaction, the way you’d cling onto him when you get excited, or the way your pout and sad eyes immediately get him to fold when you want something. 

It’s safe to say that Stanley really does like you, and Xeno saw that.

As your older brother, Xeno had to give Stanley the ‘Talk’ as he called it.

It’s not as if Stanley confessed yet, but in Xeno’s words, “just in case”

Unbeknownst to Stanley, you also grew up to harbour feelings for him. How couldn't you? when the pretty boy was always so kind and thoughtful of you

You could do your homework on your own, but you’d choose to pester your brother for help whenever Stanley was with him.

Pairing: Stanley Snyder x GN! Reader!

Childhood Friendship:

Stanley Snyder has been friends with you since you were kids. It’s not really a choice, considering you two were practically neighbors, and your parents being friends with one another. 

Even so, Stanley felt like you two just clicked upon the first meeting. 

Stanley never thought you two would share many similar interests and hobbies.

Often, Stanley would spend countless weekends with you, playing sports, watching movies, discovering hidden gems in the city, and pranking others. 

Stanley’s family were incredibly supportive and happy that their son were getting along with you so well. So they often invited you to go over whenever your parents had work overseas.

They encouraged open-mindedness and respect between the two of you as you two sometimes fought and got mad at each other for little things. 

Stanley learned to apologize and forgive, how to be stern and patient, and be the kind and responsible “other brother” in your friendship

Back then, he was just your childhood friend.

Realization of Feelings:

Stanley began to realize his feelings for you when he was in high school. 

He found himself blushing around you and getting nervous when you smiled at him. 

He cared for the little things, and didn’t want to disappoint you when he got in trouble with his guy group.

Stanley became increasingly protective of you, always looking out for your well-being. 

He'd insist on walking you home after school and making sure you were safe.

Sometimes, he would even go out of his way to take care of you when you were sick.

Stanley developed a habit of calling you at night. Asking about your day, and tell you about his. 

He loved these late-night conversations, just you and him, sometimes sharing stories, gossip, dreams, fears, and secrets. 

Stanley found comfort in these talks, and it was during one of these moments that he admitted to himself that he had a crush on you, and can’t let you go.

Courting & Confession:

Stan isn't afraid to show his affection, like offering to carry your backpack or complimenting you about your looks, knowledge or personality.

He often buys you food and eventually became your personal professional driver.

Stanley reached out to his closest friend, Xeno, about his feelings, seeking advice on how to confess. 

Xeno encouraged him to be honest with you but also cautioned him to respect your boundaries in the case that feelings aren’t reciprocated. 

(Xeno was sure that it would be, that sneaky little Einstein)

One day, Stanley finally mustered the courage to tell you about his feelings. 

Stanley and you sat together under the beautiful night stars during one of your many weekend hangouts, and it was then he blurted out his confession. 

“Hey Y/N, you know, we've been friends for so long…practically since babies. You know you were really ugly back then.”

“Oh shut it, like you weren’t a brat.” A shared nudge and chuckle.

“Hey, there's something I need to tell you." 

"Yea? What is it, Stan?" 

"Well, it's just... ah screw it, I really like you. Not just as a friend. I mean, I like you a lot. More than I've ever liked anyone.” 

From your looks to your personality to funny moments and lovable times, his rant went on for a bit like a kid describing his favourite cartoon.

"Damn, I know it's probably weird to hear, and I understand if you don't feel the same way. But can you give me an answer soon?” 

Stanley closed his eyes and waited patiently for your answer. At this time, he really wanted to smoke.

"Stanley Synder, you dummy. You know, I've been feeling the same way.” Stanley felt a hand on his shoulder, waking him up. 

“I was just too scared to say anything."

"Really?"

"Yeah, really. I've liked you for a long time too, Stan. No matter how much of an annoying show-off and-." He pulled you into a little hug which cut you off, but you didn’t mind. 

The hug now felt a little differently than before.

You two stayed like that for a bit, relishing in the peace and quiet, in relief.

"So, what do we do now?" 

"How about we keep being us? We don't have to change anything about our friendship, just add a little extra something."

“Hmm, that sounds perfect.”

(CHAPTER 3) Z=151: Dr. X

The crew had salvaged the downed airplane, finding a treasure trove of corn kernels – a lucky find that could save them years of cultivation. Senku, ever the scientist, announced his plan to track down the enemy, while Gen wondered who would be sent on the mission.

"A whole cornfield would be a lucky find that'd save us a year of cultivation and propagation!" Senku said to his companions. "Don't forget why we came all this way – the corn."

"Ahem... I meant... who will be doing... the pursuing?" Gen asked.

"Me, the explorer! Gen, the mentalist! And Kohaku, the gori – er, the bodyguard with hyper vision! The ultimate trio tracking someone down!" Chrome exclaimed, pointing at himself, Gen, and Kohaku.

"Plus the enemy might notice a larger group," Kohaku added.

"Bad way to go, Gen!" Chrome complimented the mentalist.

The Stone World pair were excited at the prospect of exploring foreign lands. As the trio began their journey to track down the enemies, Gen suddenly realized something was amiss.

"Wait, something's off," he said. "They're luring us in. The enemies know exactly... what they're doing."

"How infuriating," Gen muttered. "They dare challenge a mentalist of my caliber?"

He recalled his recent loss in a poker game, a frustrating experience that had left him determined to improve.

"Two losses in a row? No thank you," Gen said. "Because I..."

"... have to do some growing of my own," he finished confidently. "Chrome, Kohaku, hang back and allow me to take the lead. I'll be sure to mark the path forward with flowers."

As Chrome and Kohaku followed Gen's instructions, he ventured off on a different path, leaving behind a trail of flowers to guide his return.

"<Hello, is anyone there?>" Gen called out warily.

"<YIIKES!>" he exclaimed as two unknown figures revealed themselves. A man pointed a machine gun at Gen, while a woman stood behind him, a combat knife pressed to his neck.

"<Whoa! Who are you guys? I totally didn't realize anyone was up there!>" Gen exclaimed.

"<How terrifying! Please don't point a gun and a knife at me!>"

The man began to pat Gen down, while the woman continued to hold him at knifepoint.

"<Patting me down? I swear I'm not carrying any weapons!>" Gen said truthfully.

The woman behind him, her breath a sigh of annoyance, pressed the knife a little closer to Gen's neck. Her movements were deliberate, each shift of the blade sending a shiver down his spine. He inhaled sharply, a reflex triggered by the sudden proximity of the cold steel.

"<How annoying,>" she muttered, her voice dripping with disdain. "<This one is sure loud. Anyways, any weapons, Stan?>" Her eyes darted to the man beside Gen, her gaze searching for any sign of a weapon.

"<Yeah, no weapons. But... you've got other stuff up your sleeves, who are you?>"

As the man questioned Gen, the woman released him from her grasp. Gen finally got a good look at the second enemy, and he couldn't help but be impressed by her beauty.

When the man saw Gen staring at his partner in awe, he repeated his question.

"<Well?>"

"<Tadah!>" Gen replied, performing a magic trick and making flowers appear in his hands.

"<A magician?." the woman asked, her voice surprisingly gentle.

"<That's riiiight!>" Gen confirmed.

"<I could tell from patting you down. You've got strong hands and not much else, at the very least, you're not a warrior,>" the man said.

"<Unlike... those skilled samurai friends of yours.>"

"<The first to strike wins, y'know? I was hoping that we crush you all... but now I've got a whole heap of questions,>" the man said as he started to walk away with the woman. 

"<Bet you've got some too. So, how about you come and meet our leader?>"

As they venture through the forest, Gen was taken to the American Fortress, where he was amazed to find a cornfield and landing strip. A moment later, he and the unknown man and woman arrived at their territory.

"<Get ready to celebrate the new world's first-ever visitor,>" the woman said to the new unknown man.

'He's just like dear Senku. No, this one's an adult. An eal-ray professional scientist!' Gen thought.

As Gen was lost in thought, the man who had brought him to their territory suddenly put Gen's hands and feet into a bucket of water with wires in it.

"<A pleasure, I'm sure! I suppose it's time for introductions,>" said the unknown scientist. "<The man over there, who for some reason has a bizarre habit of sucking toxic fumes into his lungs...>"

"<Gimme a break, I'm just having a smoke,>" replied the man.

"<Is Stanley Snyder, he's ex-military, well, still a military but now in my employ,>" the scientist continued. "<And that beautiful and elegant woman beside him is->"

As the scientist, a man with a meticulously styled pompadour introoduces , Gen's gaze drifted towards (Y/n). She sensed his eyes on her and, without looking up, glanced discreetly into her pocket mirror. With a practiced hand, she reapplied a touch of lipstick, then closed the compact with a satisfying click. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she turned to meet Gen's gaze. 

"<What?>" she asked, her voice laced with a hint of challenge.

"<- darling (Y/n) Ambrose, an ex-model. I suppose she's a soldier now but in my employ.>" He snatched and kissed (Y/n)'s hand, and she chuckled.

"Oh Xeno, you flatter me," she replied.

"It is simply the fact, dear," Xeno said.

"<And I'm Dr. Xeno. So, who might you be? And where have you come from?>" Xeno asked Gen, his face suddenly turning terrifying as he tightened his push on Gen's neck with his wrist.

Gen replied, "<I go by Gen Asagiri, erm, that is to say that's my name... I used to be something of a magician back in Japan...>"

'Not exactly a lie, but I'd better not mention the mentalist angle,' Gen thought.

"<Japan?! Did you hear that, Stan, (Y/n)? How wonderful! His group braved the Stone World and traveled so very far, like an eastern-bearing Columbus!>" Xeno exclaimed excitedly.

As Xeno was talking to his friends, Gen noticed a monitor behind him.

'Breathing. Sweating. EKG reading. Wait... could this be... a polygraph test?!'

'Oh, how dare you challenge a mentalist like me?~' Gen thought confidently.

"<Oh dear~, it's nothing but hellish labor in the kingdom of science,>" Gen said in pretend. "<Our science leader is the worst of all – a real taskmaster. That's why I fled, if you must know...>"

Xeno glanced at the monitor to see if Gen was lying, but...

"<Amazingly, he seems unrattled. His answers flow without a hint of hesitation, it's almost elegant,>" Xeno mused.

"<Is he telling the truth?>" Stan asked.

(Y/n) added, "<Is that good news then?>"

"<Not quite,>" Xeno replied. "<Either he's honest to a fault or the world's greatest liar. It's not a problem, though, because I love both types!>"

'I'm going to infiltrate this place, dear Senku... until it's ours for the taking. Including the resource we need... for massive amounts of revival fluid, those cornfields will be ours!' Gen thought.

"<So you're saying... all we gotta do is snuff out this science-pro leader of yours?>" Stan asked, taking a puff of his smoke.

"<What is this scientist's name?>" Xeno asked Gen, his voice filled with intimidation.

As Gen panicked at the question, he blurted out a name...

"<The genius scientist's name is Dr. Taiju!>"

Conveniently, Taiju was on the Perseus sneezing.
