how much art do you have that you don’t share with the public? your artwork is such a joy to see. though I get not sharing every piece of your work. it would just be nice to see more if ever given the chance.

I doodle and sketch a lot, but most of that material doesn't pass the "would people be interested in seeing this? is it good enough?" filter in my brain. I end up scanning, finishing and posting maybe 1 out of 10 to 15 pieces I make.

you doodle tiny drawings on the edges of your reports. no matter what department you're a part of, you've always made little idle doodles in the margins of any papers you happen to have, even if you need to give it to your Sephirah. it's fun, in the evenings when there's not much to do beside sit on your bed and talk and talk and talk. sometimes talking is as exhausting as the work is. so you draw instead, little flowers and stars and birds and whatever else you remember from before you came to the facility. perhaps it'll make somebody smile- you hope it does. it makes you smile, too.

the habit doesn't stop when Extraction opens again, unknowingly. your first report to Binah, your new Sephirah, has a doodle of a cat in the corner. she doesn't comment on it, and you never stop. your papers slowly develop something akin to a border of small drawings around your neatly written words, all in the familiar violet ink of your pen. and perhaps, when you deliver them at the end of the day, Binah's apathetic expression has grown a little softer, lighter, her tarnished rings gleaming dully as she takes the reports from your hands.

one day, a file from the previous night is settled neatly on your desk, and in the leftmost corner is a neatly drawn raven, all done up finely in solid black ink.

You can imagine their reaction when they finally got my face out of my borrowed copy of Property Rights and Indian Economies to reveal my spring break is a self-assigned reading list without even a coconut to drink out of.

got my mom to send me photos of a book i made when i was 8 so im gonna walk u guys thru it now here we gooooo.

cover. half the title is missing because it was patterned paper held on with scotch tape.

after that we have a selection of pages meant for lists of "anames", "Favret pepal", things i liked, disliked, and thought were ok. i (by which i mean my rooommate) managed to deduce "anames" was supposed to be "enemies" by sounding it out phonetically and also on account of the only one there was my dad. shoutout to blue RV's i still love u....

and of course a final illustration of my family and a note that i was 8 when i made this. my dad was the one who got me to start signing my name and age, though later i just started signing the date instead. do u think a museum would accept if i tried to donate this? also why is my dad the only one with pockets and why do they look like they were added on later... what occured to make me think his pockets were like, a crucial thing to point out
