Some nice fluff today! Not much to say about it, to be honest, except for soul riders my beloved. Can be read as platonic or as soulycule (aka romantic) but either way I love them!!! So much!!!

How Hemera comes to be.

The last green leaf sets forth its branch, twirls around, flutters down before landing on the previously fallen soldiers, now dirt brown and half-eaten gray. As it settles into place, the tree heaves a sigh of relief.

The pile of leaves gets restless. It chews over the forthcoming fog as the nights grow colder for naked trees and low clouds alike.

Chilly days are on the horizon, the pile crunches, excited.

When the sun sets over the last summer day, smoldering heat nothing more than a distant memory beyond recall, a horn arises.

It’s a horn made out of pure gold, glinting in the feeble sunset.

The days shorten, and the horn lengthens.

It drains surrounding sunlight, heat, poppies by the root, and in turn, the leaves hanging loose on every limb are painted in yellow, orange, red, the warmest colors of them all, a farandole of burning banners raised high everywhere.

When autumn whispers in the breeze, a forelock green like summer grass emerges from the piles of leaves. The strands mingle with the hungry worms, merely bothering them as they inch toward their next meal. 

Surely, a forelock means a head, and a head means a body. The unicorn—because that’s what this is—whinnies and snorts.

The moldy leaves scatter everywhere, twirl for the last time this year.

Night welcomes the unicorn, and she stares at the stars through the trees, the constellations urging her on. The moon closes its eye to give her some privacy, the unicorn has much to do on the island.

Thank you @kelly-dreamway-sso and @feliciawolfpaw for making the SSO Promptoween and Promptober lists; this was my first time participating in something like this and I really enjoyed it.

If anyone ends up making a prompt list for the Christmas event, I might just try my hand at it again :D

Hi! I was thinking of doing the SSO promptoween for the first time this year, and I was wondering if there were any rules for the photos? Like, does the horse AND rider have to be present in all the photos, or can it be one or the other? Just curious because this is my first year participating.

hi! there are no rules for this challenge! you can take pictures of your character, your horse, NPCs, animals, scenery... whatever you want :) you don't even have to stick to pictures; you can do moodboards, short stories, edits, or whatever else you want! just as long as it has something to do with the prompt word. and be sure to tag your posts so i can see them!

Sunflower Anne visits statue of the Aideen of Sun Circle to honour her fallen closest, Concorde. And, suddenly the cold eyes of stone seem to glisten with life, the wise and proud look so well known to the Sun Rider haunts her. ------- Fourth sketch for @kelly-dreamway-sso 's SSO Promptoween. Keeping up with showing little aspects of my AU, there are various statues of Aideen across Jorvik, most of them centuries old. Especially Valedale Druids take care of those artifacts. One type of such Aideen statues are her depictions as the Druid Circles of Star, Sun, Moon and Lightning, sitting atop the Guardian Horses. These shrines are especially important to all of the generations of Soul Riders, being a place of meditation, renewal of magical power, as well as a place to honour the fallen ones. Due to such a crucial place in the druid mysteries, they are often more hidden, most well known set being placed in the trees close to the northern druid paddock. For the Sun Circle, it's customary to bring offerings of sunflowers, little trinkets made out of sunstone or all gold-like metals that reflect sun well.

Well, what can I say, sometimes the goofiest ideas seem the most appealing to draw. The Halloween event mood got me. 8th sketch for @kelly-dreamway-sso 's SSO Promptoween.

Secret Second (and a little bit late, I had very little free time today sadly) prompt for @kelly-dreamway-sso 's SSO Promptoween. Today, I decided to create a sketch of my AU's take on Rosalinda. Here, she is one of the Vala witches, few that took Sive's lead and decided not to adapt to humans, but to remain hostile and keep their own customs. Despite that, her curiosity about people remained- and for many years she observed them, using illusions to appear human, in her last character picking the name of Rosalinda, and the story of affluent merchant's daughter, recently coming to Jorvik, allowing her to mingle with the island's most important. There she gets to meet young Sands, then only a protege of the headmaster to the academy of Jorvik and the lord of Pine Hill mansion, picked for this position thanks to innovative ideas for mining on Jorvik. The pair quickly grows fond of each other, exchanging knowledge and questions. Yet, their story is cut short, as Rosalinda is noticed in her true form by one of the men of Jarlaheim. Soon, Sive becomes the last remaining Vala.

Orange Filippa (my SSO MC) enjoying some oranges (and food begging Meteor). I absolutely adore Meteor. I see him as some Irish Cob x heavier type warmblood mix with the prettiest long mane and feathering :D

Falling Can you say no to Songsorrow's tragic charm? ------------------- First sketch for @kelly-dreamway-sso 's SSO Promptoween, I really loved the themes of these prompts, so I'll try to post simple sketches like that daily for all of October, especially since the Tarot Cards serie is so close to the end. I hope you'll enjoy some looser and simpler works like this as well.

I really can't wait for the Haunted Track c: Songsorrow is my absolute favourite horse in all of the game, made even special for me, as I bought it for my birthday last year (and named Shadowheart, to honor the best girl of BG3) :DDD
