no but in all honesty I don't think they would get rid of the dark riders if we eventually defeat them. They bring in quite a few players logging on just to see dark riders in quests. so if we do eventually defeat garnok/darkcore/dark riders, I don't think they'd just be gone forever.

if they did do a redemption arc I don't think sse would be able to do it tastefully or in a way that isn't lazy or a plothole.

ex. the new player introduction where anne is somehow there.

but maybe I just don't have enough faith in sso...

Is it just me who hopes that even if (unfortunately for me) we defeat the dark riders, they will still appear at events from time to time or something similar? I don't want to lose the dark riders. I can't be the only one who has this game so embedded in my brain... right...?

Helping a character in Jorvik is NEVER just a simple handshake, there is full on background, family feud, flour that suddenly gains wings and flies away, 3 new characters, one confused man, a dog that speaks, 4 scams and dark core suddenly showing up because we were helping their relative by 1% blood bake a cake.

13. Fav horse name you'll never use

Ok, gonna cheat a little cause I don't have impulse control like that and after like 120+ horses or how many I have, if there's a name I like, I've probably used it by now. There was a name I loved and didn't use for a long time, Autumnmist. It was incredibly popular back in 2012-2013 because one of the bigger SSO Youtubers' starter was named that and so when everyone could buy horses, everyone named their horse Autumnmist.

I eventually caved and renamed a horse Autumnmist because I liked the name, but by the point that creator had stopped posting regularly and it was significantly less popular.

28. If you could update one area of the game (like location) what would you update/add?

I have been talking about my ideas for the Vala living in Devil's Gap and have another post is queued to the ROJ Insta tomorrow about the concepts, so Devil's Gap is currently on my mind. I imagine after years of erosion, it's a lot deeper than we can see in game (more like SSL) and that it's formed something of a cenote, with a lake that Garnok has pushed through in the past, which is why the Vala are there. Also, a witch settlement that has stilt homes hanging off the cliffside, with a network of ladders and bridges that are primarily trafficked by flying brooms, seems like an amazing use of verticality in a relatively small area on the game map to explain a group living there.

6. Bobcats or Darkcore? (No, bulldogs ARENT an option ty)

Bobcats. I mean, they do organize the Pride Parade in game every year, so. Easy choice.

been playing star stable for at least 6 years.

It's probably been closer to 7 years. I'm going based off of payments/past bug report emails.

That's a wildly long time to be playing a game for. I've been through most major updates of the game, and I at one point in time wanted to be a designer for video games because of star stable.

I've learnt self acceptance, trauma processing and more through star stable. I've cried and laughed and made so many memories in this game.

I've been playing starstable since Cupcake valley was the only UK server. I've been playing since the original horse model, before any of the world revamps, before snow was removed, before saving justin (God that was an awful pause in the storyline). I remember getting my sister to do the scary parts of darkcore that I couldn't do when I was younger, because I was scared.

I remember making this account's name, after a girl who had left our year who I really liked. Daniella. (Dani for short). I can't remember why I chose bunnywood. I remember designing my account to be edgy (black hair, black coat for the my horse. My Jorvik Warmblood is named Stormtrouble, as well...)

This game has been here with me, watching me grow up, as I watched it evolve.

Whilst SSO is far from a 'perfect' game, it holds such an important part of my memory and appreciation for the game.

When I joined the game I would have been around 9 years old, and had no concept of anything

I'm now in my first year of college/6th form, and have been doing art in my free time.

The game has always been there. So thanks star stable, you have watched me grow, and visa versa. Your storytelling and world mean everything to me.

Here's to another ten years.
