Undertale Toriel - She's not too sure how she ended there, but now she is kinda stuck in the middle of the crowd so she guesses she's a part of it now? She's more concerned about all these young people walking in the street topless. Don't you know it's still cold outside? You're all going to be sick! What if it rains? She learns a lot of things about nonbinary people though and keeps taking notes to report to Frisk as soon as she gets home :')

Undertale Asgore - He just had a bunch of rainbow flowers in front of his shop and somehow now his shop is invaded by young people who kept congratulating him for some reason and he has no flowers anymore after an hour. He's a bit in shock and confused, but, eh, at least his business is working! He's still not sure what happened though.

Undertale Undyne - She's having fun, both proudly representing lesbians and scaring the shit out of any queerphobe guy too close to her. She has Alphys on her shoulders the whole time and even takes breaks to get out of the crowd when her lizard wife is too overwhelmed.

Undertale Alphys - So many people... She's holding for dear life to Undyne, but slowly relaxes as the day goes on, as Undyne makes sure to let her breathe from time to time when she's too overwhelmed. Eventually, Alphys even starts talking to some people and finds another lesbian scientist and they end the day talking excitingly about nerd things while their girlfriends sympathize.

Undertale Frisk - They're both here to represent genderless people and queer monsters! Frisk has to do a lot of speeches during the day. They're the one everyone sends when journalists ask too many questions as Frisk is trained to answer most of them. Frisk is excited they can help their way and make things move because they're a little bit of a celebrity now.

Undertale Chara - They're following Frisk around, being the second prince(ss) of Monsterkind but Chara refuses all interactions with other humans. They clearly stated they're here to support monsters during pride month, not the others. They're hissing at every journalist or giving death glare, letting Frisk handle everything.

Undertale Mettaton - He's an official guest of the pride and he's performing all day to support his fellow queer people. He's having fun, everyone is calling him a trans icon and he could never get bored of all the attention.

Undertale Gaster - What... What's going on? He wanted to go to the grocery stores. And now he's in the middle of a crowd. With his groceries. And people are drawing random flags on his bones? And somehow he's too confused to say no? Gaster is completely lost. Can he go home now?

Undertale Grillby - He's making sure everyone stays hydrated and well-fed. He cooked a lot for the pride and he has his own Grillby's float where everyone can come and buy food during the walk. He's also watching his niece, walking with the lesbians like 10 meters in front of him. He's multitasking!

Undertale Muffet - She's mad because Grillby has a float and hers got refused. So she's selling her pastries at the foot of Grillby's float, trying to steal his clients lol. Sure, all that she sells technically goes to the same association Grillby's sales are going, but still! She will sell more than him! Her ego can't take it!

Undertale Burgerpants - He's hiding from Mettaton in Grillby's float, making himself busy by helping the fireman because he can't stand the idea of staying an entire day next to Mettaton. It's not that bad though. He keeps flirting with gay people so he's having fun! At least until he flirted too much with a guy already married and got chased by the husband across the entire parade.

Undertale Flowey - Well he can't really participate since, you know, he has no legs. So he's insulting homophobes from the window. He even throws himself from the balcony after he saw someone insult Chara and then he bit their ankles like an enraged chihuahua.

Undertale Gerson - He's only there to show all these stupid Karen that old boomers understand what being queer means and that they have no excuse to be queerphobic. He painted his shell with flags so he's visible from far away!

Asking ab storyshift here, I think it’s such a cool idea and you seem to have visualized the settings very well!!! Do you have any specific ideas for the designs of the characters, or even just things that you would/wouldn’t keep from their original designs?

Thanks for the ask! I do indeed have character visual changes in mind! (Also, don't wanna be that guy, but the AU is called SequenceShift).

Ceroba

When it comes to the Empress herself, she wears a black mourning Kimono, which she's had on since Kanako's passing. She did wear a lot more colorful outfits before that, however, and she did wear her signature red and white yukata in more casual settings.

During her boss fight (she's fought on all three routes), she trades it out for a set of Samurai-style armor (Undyne and the rest of the Honor Guard wear similar outfits, albeit not as fancy as the Empress's)

Along with that, she weilds a naginata, which I thought would be a good balance between her canonical staff and Asgore's trident.

Chujin

Chujin is roughly the same when out in the Remnants, wearing his trademark green kimono. At home, he's got the whole divorce fit. Bathrobe, PJ pants, slippers, ect. He's taking care of himself, of course, he's just not super active these days. During his fight, he wears a gauntlet-based device (yes, based off of the Ben 10 Omnitrix) that amplifies his lightning attacks.

Starlo (and the Feisty Five in general)

When it comes to the Royal Rangers, I was thinking of having them wear something along the lines of the NCR Veteran Ranger armor from New Vegas, the coat over armor kinda thing.

While they are a bit more uniform in Sequence Shift, they all wear custom elements with their armor sets. For example, Starlo still wears his poncho, Ed ripped off the sleeves of his outfit, Ace and Mooch still have their scarves, all of 'em keep their canon hats, ect.

They also all have different outfits which they wear off-duty (and during their reunion), but we only got Moray so far: they wear a zipperless hoodie (with the hood up) and jeans. My BF really wanted to see Moray in a hoodie so there, hehe. Also, Mooch dual wields a dagger and sawed-off shotgun in this AU (you'll only see the later on a Vengeance run tho).

Martlet

I don't have any photos of it, but since Martlet's more of a hand-on engineering scientist, she wears more of a mechanic outfit than. Something sturdy and protect, since we all know this girl failure is very much prone to hurting herself and that isn't any different in SS. And goggles, those are important, too. Also, since I am very much a fan of the amputee Martlet headcanon, she's one here, too. She's got a set of fancy metal prosthetic legs that she built with the help of Chujin.

Axis

Axis's base form is pretty identical to how he is in canon. His EX form is where it gets a bit different. My boyfriend being the robot nerd he is, took a bit of Gundam inspiration, as well as somewhat basing it off of Mic Sounders from “king of the braves gao gai gar” (transforming from a cutesy robot into a more proper humanoid robot).

His NEO form (which may or may not be a proper boss fight) is gonna be based off a high-end Gundam or Armored Core, but we don't have any specific inspiration just yet.

Kanako

Kanako doesn't have any changes at first. While she does have some major differences as Iris (her Flowey Form) we're still working on that. However, we do have ideas for her Pacifist route encounter, where she emerges as the Liberator of Monsterkind (her version of Asriel's God of Hyperdeath). She pulls up in a Tokusatsu-style superhero form, with a purposefully overdesigned and cluttered look that only a child absolutely would think is awesome.

And that's it for the main cast. I don't think Clover needs an outfit change, but I might add a few knick-knacks and accessories that they pick up along their journey. I don't think Dalv needs any major changes either. If there's any other characters you wanna know about, do lemme know! Also, I'm not an artist, but if anyone wants to take a crack at some SS designs, feel free to hit me up!

I'm a big swap!Toriel apologist and which is soo hypocritical of me bc of how much I bully Asgore lmao but!! Sweetswap and Loveswap Toriel are so great.

So sweetswap kind of parallels Heartfell in the theme of "everything may not be as it seems". Aesthetically, it's all about pastels and cuteness and, well, sweetness! Everyone is extra friendly and kind natured, but the thing is...they're basically ignoring what they're really doing to break the barrier (and the war that will follow). SS Toriel is actually a bit more in line with UT Asgore's line of thinking than I usually characterize US Toriel, in that...she feels trapped in this decision she's made, she hates doing this, but she still believes it's the only way to save her people.

I won't get into it, but she doesn't tell the kids who reach her the truth. She tries to make it as painless as possible, at least, but she's really a very sad, lonely person. She isolates herself in her castle whenever she's not making her Obligatory Morale-Boosting trips to the various towns of the underground. Clover has mixed feelings about it all, but he and SS Alphys have both tried helping her out some, yet the guilt weighs in her too heavily.

After surfacing, at first, she continues attempting to isolate while taking responsibility for her people, but with a lot of time (and therapy), she winds up having healthier relationships with everyone again. It's actually Dandelion (SS Asgore) who really gets through to her and initiates the biggest internal changes. She's not helping anyone by hating herself so much.

As for LS Toriel, wow!! She's a crazy lady. She's actually a little like Rose from Steven Universe, if Rose seemed to act more "mature" and level headed. Well, and more intense. Things in their underground are rough, tbh, instead of pitting all their hopes on the souls and the war, Toriel kind of...dives headlong into the idea that, in the meantime at least, they could make the underground a nice place to live, after all, monsters depend on hope and love, which comes from building strong relationships, right? On paper, it's a great idea! Let's make this dumpster fire as much of an Eden as we can, right?

Well, the thing is, monsters tend to *latch onto ideas. So over time, this gradually became more and more distorted, leading to an over emphasis on relationships and love and depending on others above everything else. The more people love you the better! They'll do almost anything to seek approval and popularity amongst each other, and Toriel, unfortunately, leans heavily into this pattern of thinking as a very mutated coping mechanism for all the issues she's repressing. Love and acceptance and adoration are above anything else, and she tries desperately to be a ruler worthy of that, from everyone. She even goes as far as working with both Undyne and Alphys to hide statistic of who's Fallen, which puts even more pressure on Undyne to find a way to save them.

Under the thin veneer of Aesthetics and Ideals, the underground is rotting. Things aren't nearly as bad as Lovefell, for example, but they're not great! And Toriel has fooled even herself into buying the delusion.

On the surface, she still struggles for a long time, as she has to face decades, if not centuries of repressed trauma while slowly discarding bad coping mechanisms. Especially given everyone has hard feelings with her, so she has to start in a place with very little support. It's grueling work, but she puts it in. Not to make up for what she's done, but to help monsters make a better future and be the kind of person she should've been a long time ago.

W.D Gaster hovered through the endless void as he always did. Having spent eons within this cold baren place, he now knew every inch of it. Though seemingly endless it was not infinite. There were places within the void that were weaker and closer to the world of reality. When first arriving in this place Gaster had hoped to find a way out that would lead past the barrier that trapped monster kind. But it seemed even this dark plain of existence could not escape from the millennia old magic humans had cast. “Being-g trap-pedD HEre I-is N-n-no diff-ERent F-from DweLling Wwith-WiTHin the C-caVes of Mon-monster kind. S-S-sealeD aWway by TH-this curse-ed *barrier.” Gaster said to himself as he neared a weak spot within the void. The pitch black void lightened as bits of ethereal light flickered about through a small crack. The only small amount of entertainment Gaster could grasp within his prison was from these breaks within the void. And this one was his favorite, it led to the border where the barrier that was trapping all monsters met the light of day. If he focused hard enough, he could see past the barrier and out into the world of the sun and moon. If he was able to, Gaster would have spent days staring out of the void and through the barrier. But the most he could manage was an ‘hour’ or two before the void would pull him back into it’s depths. Then he would have to start the journey over again, to find this little slice of jaded reality. Today, beyond the barrier, it was wet and grey. “Th-This MusT b-b-BE the ph-Ph-PHen-omenon kNOwn aS-Ss R-raIN…” Gaster said, aching to know what it felt like. He reached his hand out in vain as the barrier dissolved his being slowly, sending his white hand back into the void. Oh, how he wished to hear what rain sounded like. Gazing longingly out at the forest surrounding the barrier, movement within the foliage suddenly caught his eye. A human came bursting forth from the bushes and branches! Gaster was shocked to say the least. This was the first time he had ever seen a human come this close to the barrier. If others had come to this place before, Gaster was unaware of it. Leaning forward, Gaster fixated on this human. Waves of excitement crashed over his amorphous body from the scene playing out before him. The human ran closer and closer to the invisible barrier, constantly looking over his shoulder. The human stumbled, holding something in one of his hands. It was a sharp metallic object from what Gaster saw. “J-J-juSt WH-whaT iSs ThiSs H-H-huMan Run-running frO-om?” Gaster whispered, edging closer to the crack within the void. No sooner did he utter those words, two more humans burst out from the trees! His permanent crescent smile grew with fascination and wonder. The first human was now mere yards away from the barrier, when he abruptly stopped in his tracks and turned around to face the other two.

A stand off now played out before Gaster. The two humans who had just burst out from the foliage slowly crept closer to the lone human. Though Gaster could not hear, there seemed to be words exchanged between the two parties involved. The only clues that led to this observation were how the human’s mouths opened and closed rapidly. -REDACTED- slowly backed away from the other two humans, inching closer to the barrier.

Though there was no way to break the barrier as of yet, Gaster knew of it’s characteristics. Humans could pass through it with ease while monster kind was trapped within. “Y-YeSs… J-J-juSt A L-little C-clOSerr.” Gaster urged the lone human, knowing his time at this crack was quickly drawing near. If this human could just cross the barrier, then maybe, maybe, Gaster could grab the human and drag him into the void. If he was able to take this human’s soul as his own, perhaps he could escape from this dreadful fate.

It’s Christmas time and his kid is about to participate in the long old tradition of pictures with mall santa. When his kid sits on Santa’s lap, the first thing his dumb baby does is pull off Santa’s fake beard. The other babies are crying. Older kids are screaming. Poor mall santa is in shock

Edan: working on a daycare and assuring kids that Santa is real makes him mad at his kid, of course his menace side of him wants to laugh and while apologizing to everyone just takes his kids and run off. He isn't gonna tell s/o.

Hans: he's the surprised Pikachu meme literally, he's not sure of laughing, crying of embarrassment or sweating from s/o killing both of them. He just decides to call it a day and bring kid back home. He's laughing his *ss off when safe in home lol.

Vanilla: he wants the earth to swallow him, Papy almost did the same with Asgore but hopefully, Asgore was paying attention and was able to stop him. This brings Vietnam memories and just stands there in between the chaos.

Papy: "OH MY- NO!!!!" his first reaction is to yell and pick up his kid, yelling I'm sorry's all over the place. He ends ups being the next mall Santa to pay for what his kid caused. He doesn't let any kid do the same lol.

Orion: he's floating embarrassed, he can feel everyone's eyes at him because of his kid!!! Orion relax it's alright. He does make the explanation a little better like Perseo and his cute face the kids call him "Santa's helper" lol.

Perseo: "(kids name) STOP THAT!!" he's very good at explaining that Santa do exist and that he chooses some people to bring kids joy, even his kid is surprised and loves his story lol. He goes and screams at s/o tho.

Bonnie: "well shit." He's not surprised at his kid, every kid doesn't like mall Santa, is kinda.. creepy. Anyway, gotta talk with the mall Santa and he does! They end up exchanging numbers! New buddy!

Clyde: oh stars.. s/o is gonna kill him later and more because he laughs at what happened, but not because it was funny, he laughs when nervous. S/o better be by his side or he's gonna panic.

Devonte: yeah he's not surprised, he anticipated this before and he stays by the side of his kid and stop him way before he could take the fake beard of the mall Santa. He doesn't know what he is gonna do with his kid.

Sargent: unlike Hans, he does wheeze at the moment and get side eyes from the other parents. Yeah he's totally buying his kid an ice cream even knowing S/o is gonna kill them.

Azrael: he doesn't know what to do. He's frozen upon all the screams and cries. He may need a moment to lay down and calm down. S/o has to do this for themselves aka he panics at hearing screams.

Deus: he just sighs and takes his kid, apologizing for everyone, he didn't thought this would happen. Then he comes home and let's s/o do whatever think it's necessary for their kid to understand. He wasn't that fond of Santa if he was honest.

Someone shouts and you hear a loud whistle from your right. You think you also feel a whoosh of air by your back but butch had blocked whatever it was

He lets out a joyous whoop as a blur knocks into him, then you hear it. The most foul string of curses to ever come from the mouth of a royal guard

alright fellas, Comic Sans "Undertale" The Skeleton lore drop scheduled for tomorrow 10 AM. So here's a random concept I thought up of on the top of my head (it's been there for months). Yall know the fuckin', um, SS reboot and preboot, right? People think reboot design is shit because homeless Chara real, and also some people don't like how reboot shift Chara doesn't go "heyo pretty mirror" like BLEH. why tf do I want that? but the design is sick as hell. I want canon human hating Chara with slight homelessness concept with the slight preboot style outfit. Actually, why not just mix up reboot and preboot? Introducing, The Reboot-Preboot mixup that I don't have a name for yet. Concept idea for Chara's design. Their outfit is still fucked up to hell and back, but they have a green jacket with the pink shirt from reboot under it. The green jacket isn't exactly in perfect condition and came from the dumb, having wear and tear, patches, and also being cut through on some parts to show it's been used while being hunted. (also I had this dumb idea of waterfall's dump being littered with things made by humans because the garbage disposal place on the Surface straight up just leads the trash through the barrier and into the waterfall that takes shit into the dump but that's idiotic imo) Oh, and Asriel. I sorta liked the cool rainbow scarf, and his reboot outfit actually makes sense since, y'know, son of Toriel and Asgore? Yeah. So why not have the scarf be like, a somewhat low-quality scarf with clear indications of it being made by an amateur, by Chara, to Asriel as some sort of birthday gift. It's not perfect, with it sometimes just having a colored patch to hide some sorta fuckup, like the wrong color in one spot or the color going too far (TOO FAR!!?!?!?1//1) to one side. Oh yeah, I sorta like the reboot Asriel personality because guess what? HE'S A GODDAMN KID! Of course he's gonna beat a puzzle after failing, like, 20 times and go "take that you stupid rock". Anyways, that's it.

Chara and Asriel are kids, the timeline was modified so that they were revived a year after the barrier as a great surge of magical energy swept through the land and within the bed of flowers both of them laid to rest, they were revived by this great surge of magical power. The phenomenon also revived the 6 souls killed by Asgore, relieving him of his pain of killing those 6 kids. 

Once the great reset happened, every human and monster was given a little bit of the imagination trait, it doesn't affect the traits humans got nor does it affect the monsters soul. It’s just a little failsafe if ever someone decides to ransack the universe of its EXP. *wink

Imagination trait, nothing can be said about it, you’ll just have to figure it out(I actually don't know what to put without spoiling?)

The edge of the border, or the borderlands as what I call it is a safe heaven for only a select few people who have permission from the three owners IMA!SS!chara DK! Frisk and Mysterioushunter, I know everyone is going to say the omega timeline is the most safest place within the Undertale Aus and yes you are correct I don’t ever intend of anyone using this place as a failsafe for their grand scheme of a their own creation which is something like underverse (look go watch it its pretty nice). Also don’t come to me and say I’m using this place because someone destroyed the omega timeline, I really don’t believe anyone can destroy that timeline, but its mostly used as a place to live for the three owners. Also it is possible to stumble upon this place by chance, but won’t you worry Hunter will move the whole place as soon as possible because since its a door now, he can move it along the borderlines. Okay I’m going to give you an example as I don't know how to actually say this thing, example Sans opens the door to the borderland and somehow someone managed to sneak pass it, he will enter the borderlands.

The only people with the pass to enter the borderlands are, (For the fact take this as non-cannon as you know for obvious reason) The memers (X-cross and Epic!sans but for obvious reason I wont include them in my story, maybe once I get both owners permission I will make a short story) Sans, Chara, Asriel, Frisk I will update this in pinned links Anyways to enter the borderlands, kind of different, you first need permission than when you get permisson you get a key, use this key on any door to get to the borderlands.

character positions

this is what the characters do, or how they operate in the story, along with personalities. some of these are subject to change, along with designs! this is an ongoing au after all. 

sans: papyrus swap. his goal is to join the royal guard, but not really for himself. it’s more to prove himself to his little brother, who has been in the royal guard for years. instead of puzzles, sans sets up traps around snowdin for chara to trigger. also, he is not innocent, nor does he pretend to be. he’s a dumbass bastard and he fully knows it. he is nice, but if you make him angry, he will spit in your food when you’re not looking and then serve it to you. he is also a terrible cook. if he offers a friendship meal, run. your stomach will not survive it.

papyrus: sans swap. he’s been in the royal guard for so long that it no longer phases him, so he’s grown lazy about it. he loves his job, but it doesn’t have all the glamour that it used to have. he also likes to eat healthy, balanced meals, and is an amazing cook. however, his job keeps him so busy that he doesn’t have the time to cook. 

alphys: undyne swap. big and scary, but only really when she’s in the mecha. however, while chasing chara into hotland, she trips, and instead of dehydrating, she falls into a panic attack, which chara nervously helps her through, confusing alphys. she definitely fits into the jock archetype. she isn’t in the royal guard, but she is a hometown hero for waterfall. think vigilante for alphys. despite everyone clamoring for her, she excludes herself from any social interactions as she’s made mistakes in the past that cause her to believe she doesn’t deserve any of the attention. nervous out of mecha, confident in mecha. 

undyne: alphys swap. undyne is the royal scientist, though she generally enjoys thinking up things to destroy humanity or at the very least cause harm to them. once chara falls into the underground and undyne has sights on them, she begins to make passive aggressive comments on her account on the undernet about them. she’s very stuck up at first, but as chara progresses and undyne sees that they aren’t that bad, she slowly softens and starts to help, especially after chara meets and begins to deal with the eccentric nature of napstabot. she enjoys mech anime and kaiju movies, and helped alphys make her armor. 

temmie: flowey swap. temmie does go by she/her, though asriel goes by he/him and maybe even they/them. originally, before being taxidermied, temmie was the original royal pet. she was there around the time that frisk fell and when asriel died, his dust falling on top of her. a few days later, she died as well. undyne, instead of using buttercups, decided to use the taxidermied temmie in her dt experiments, causing temmie to ‘come to life’ and become a vessel for asriel. asriel/temmie is angry because frisk was an angel, and didn’t desrve what happened to them. there are also multiple other temmies, all in queen toriels throne room. 

flowey: temmie swap. generally kept as common pets. they bounce up and down and speak basic english. you’ll see one in almost every shop and home. however, some versions, like echo, aster or golden are not generally kept as pets for a very simple reason: they have a tendency to, on some occasions, predict the future. 

toriel: asgore swap. instead of demanding the death of humans, she demands that the humans be brought to her for her to raise. however, monsters have a tendency to over estimate their magic in battle or over estimate how much humans can take, or they’re just plain terrified of humans and kill them in a moment of terror. toriel weeps over the fallen souls that are brought to her, and instead of keeping them in capsules near the barrier, she keeps them in capsules close to her so that she can watch over them and make sure that they’re safe and secure at all times. when chara gets to toris fight, shes fighting chara because she’s admittedly terrified of going up to the surface, and she doesn’t want chara to leave just yet. what would the humans think of them coming up with a teenager? probably horrible things. 

asgore: toriel swap. he lives in the ruins. gardening every inch and making rounds to make sure every flower has been watered. that’s how he finds chara and temmie. generally, he rushes humans out of the ruins, trying to convince himself that they’re evil and bad. however, every time he grows attached, and cries when the human leaves. he grew especially attached to chara.

chara: frisk swap. chara falls into the underground because they’re angry at the human world and all of the hate inside of it. they’re a severely misguided kid with a tendency to lash out at those around them and to think the worst of everyone they meet, always assuming they have an ulterior motive or that they’re evil in some way, like they think they are. their journey is about coming to peace with themselves and the world around them, and learning that not everyone is bad or out to get them and that people can and do care about them. they learn that they can be soft and trust others and that freeing the monsters would be a good thing, because even if their is evil on the surface, there’s good, too, and freeing the monsters would add to the good of the world.

frisk: chara swap. frisk is the first human to fall and befriends asriel. they become best friends, but somehow, frisk manages to actually confuse buttercups with edible food, eating them and accidentally poisoning themself. frisk is a pacifist at heart, and believes that everyone is good.

mettablook: napstablook swap. he maintains the small snail farm while also being a struggling fashion designer. his wish is to create fashion for everyone of all shapes and sizes, though it’s hard with  low amount of money, so he works many jobs around the underground, even helping asgore with his plants. the different areas of the underground also serve as inspiration for him. 

napstabot: mettaton swap. the body made by undyne was perfect in many aspects except one, its low energy combined with his own low energy. to combat this, undyne made a special charger for him, giving his body and his soul an extra pep. he makes sick beats and seems super happy and charged up, but it’s all thanks to the charger. he can also only be out for short periods of time before his charger starts running out of juice and he has to leave or else he’ll ruin his star reputation. in battle, you would win by knocking his charger off. 

grillby: muffet swap. he still doesn’t talk very much, instead preferring to play an exciting game of charades to communicate. around the underground, he owns many food carts, all ran by his fellow flames. they sell the same foods as in the game. 

muffet: grillby swap. she runs a cafe in snowdin that papyrus frequents. it’s cozy and warm, and sells tons of sweets, pastries, and warm drinks. she does not do tabs, however, and if you try to open one you will be banned from her cafe.

SequenceShift AU Locations

Since I already covered the main cast, I figured it'd be best to tacke the setting next. They are...vastly different from the ones in UT and UTY, so let's dive in.

The Remnants

The Remnants are pretty much the Ruins/Dark Ruins of this game. They're almost identical, aside from the fact that the Remnants are based more off of Japanese architecture compared to the occidental style of the Ruins. A few monsters live her, including Chujin, who has taken residence in Ceroba's childhood estate (there's also a hidden office there, which is only accessible on Neutral/Vengeance Routes). Dalv also lives there, helping maintain a corn field that he and Chujin set up.

Lakeside

Lakeside is the Snowdin equivalent. It's pretty much exactly what the name implies and is based off of the rural Japanese countryside. My idea was it used to be a cold and snowy place before the Swelterstone was excavated to act as the Underground's artificial sun, which terraformed the place into what it is nowadays. There's a small village set up here, known for its production of honey and vast fields of flowers. Moray and Mooch are set up here, keeping an eye out for any humans who exit the Remnants, along with the Dog Warrior Auxiliaries of the Royal Rangers (aka the Canine Unit from the OG Undertale).

Sand Dunes

The Sand Dunes...are the Dunes, basically. Okay, there's a bit more to it than that. In SS, it used to be Waterfall from the original, until the Swelterstone terraformed it, too, and unlike Lakeside, it wasn't for the best. It's still livable, of course, just really fucking hot. It has a lot of dense brush and canyons that used to be rivers. The Oasis, Wild East, and Sunnyside Farm are all still around, and of course, Starlo himself is based out here.

Frostpeak

Frostpeak takes the role of Hotland. It's a tall mountainous region, which takes inspiration from IRL Mount Fuji and the Grizzlies Mountain Range in RDR2 (my boyfriend is in the process of playing the game rn so). Currently, it's the least fleshed out, storywise. I don't have much for it rn, besides an entrance to the Steamworks as well as a gift shop at the summit.

Steamworks

Steamworks is fairly identical to how it is in UTY, while also having elements from the Lab. The main difference is, since there's no CORE in this AU, it acts as the primary source of power generation for the Underground, tapping into geothermal energies beneath Frostpeak. In addition, there's also the Lower Levels expansion of the facility, which takes the place of the True Lab and houses its own secrets. Martlet, the Royal Scientist, is based out in here, along with Axis, the Guardener, and most of the robots from the original Steamworks.

New Kingdom

The New Kingdom (yeah, Ceroba's naming skills are on par with Asgore's) takes the place of New Home, acting as the Capital of the Underground. It's a sprawling city which mixes in both traditional edo architecture with a more modern metropolis. Best example I can think of is something along the lines of modern Kyoto. This location also houses the Ketsukane Palace, where none other than the Empress herself awaits the seventh human...

Sanders sides undertale au (part 1?)

I mostly did these when I arrived in school 2 hours early, because I didn't know the first two lessons got cancelled. Twice.

Tbh I had the most fun designing Remy and coloring Logan's throne.
