Clara (pretty sure that’s her name lol) is pretty looking so I feel the need to do something with her for the plot soooo yah, maybe a double agent of some kind for the saints against the morningstar- idk let me just cook for a lil bit

What are some of your favorite character creators to remake your saints row original characters and redesigns?

across the saints row games themselves or just in general? in general i’ve had a lot of fun making them in sims 4. thank god for custom content lmao. also i have an anteros file in fnv which is pretty fun even tho i’m not a huge fan of the fnv character creator.

across the sr games themselves tho? i’ve had fun making them in all of them. not you sriv. i may have to hand it to the reboot that despite the issues i have w its clothing options, i really enjoyed being able to make a bunch of designs easily in the same file. it’s a fairly solid character creator, even if i’ve only really used it to make santo ileso blues AU designs (and johnny, kinzie, and anteros’ designs in the post-srtt in-between story lol). but getting to pretend i’m playing my own story bc i get to play as troy or pierce or the dewynters is soooo much fun. as someone who would do anything for some sort of saints row DLC where i can play as the other characters, it’s kinda the ultimate wish fulfillment fantasy, even if i am stuck in santo ileso and not stilwater.

i’ve made torque in sr2 and i plan on making a few more ppl in it eventually. made dex and troy in srtt as they appear in my canon during that time. honestly i actually do wanna make torque in the srtt creator too if only bc that one is the only one that will get his body type correct. ironic bc the body type situation in srtt is one of my biggest gripes w it. but hey when you actually DO have a ridiculously muscular character it’s perfect. i wanna get around to making xóchitl in sr2 too just bc i think that’d be fun.

also my miitopia file was pretty great. i should really get back on that playthrough

ppl outside the community reacting to the sr IP still belonging to PLAION or whatever like "guess that means more remasters and remakes in the future then" all pretend-dejected like. like buddy. Deep Silver don't even wanna release the sr2 pc patch because it might cost them a few extra dollars of upkeep. they left the sriv "upgrade" on steam as a total broken piece of shit, just vomited that thing out one random night clearly without any kinda quality control. what the fuck are they gonna be remastering, srtt again?? fucking GooH????

Wanted to show of my Boss throughout the games, I started to Replay SR2 recently, i’ve not gotten that far in it and plan on replaying sr4 as well. I also originally Played the games in reverse cause i’m a dumass! 

The First set are from my original playthrough of SR2. The Second is the newer. She doesn't have her tattoos and wont be till later in the game. Third is SR3, Will probably go back to see her new look in the old one. Fourth is SR4, Her scars are missing and her freckles. again, played backwards. Lastly, The remaster Feturing a remake of her original sr3 outfit.. She looks more like an in-between of sr2 and SR4 now but honestly, i wanted to give her the scars and freckles again but um....im just not feeling it right now.. cute though.

a long vent about sr series and the new sr game

will i get the new saints row? probably. if i see more footage of actual gameplay and maybe some more intros to the characters/city/gangs then sure! the trailer wasn’t terrible and it looks enjoyable, however.

in all honesty the game actually looks very fun and i will probably enjoy it, but not as a saints row game. i just wish they would’ve called it something else, because it geniunely just doesn’t feel like a saints row game at all.

the saints row series are about gangs, crime, destruction, sex, action, urban warfare etc. the trailer gave me a vibe of agents of mayhem but better and more of a free-to-roam game. i am devastated like everyone else, that we will not be seeing anymore of the old saints cast, which is completely understandable.

but people need to accept that everyone has different views about this. yes we are allowed to be disappointed with how it turned out, how they’re not going to go back to the old saints roots (probably ever again). many fans have been waiting for 8 bloody years for something (12 if you really dislike srtt & sr4) to do with either a remake of any games, reboot WITH the same storyline/characters or a continuation of any game (most likely one of the endings in gooh). people need to stop hating on older fans just because they wanted their favourite franchise to continue after such a long time, and for me the reveal felt like a punch in the stomach.

with that said, there’s also no reason to attack the game, anyone at deepsilver, volition and especially the fans that seemed to enjoy the trailer. the new game will just be different than other saints rows, and there’s that. nothing you can do about it. either enjoy it and let others enjoy it as well, or just stop caring but also stop spreading hate about it.

Ok so hype died down tonight and I gotta say this now

But its incredibly funny how Deep Silver’s logic is “well SRTT is the most popular! They crave this game and would eat anything related to it! Let’s make our fans buy it on Epic because they’re desperate!” and before fans even got a chance to see EGS exclusivity they were literally met with “remaster SR2″ “remake SR1″ and “nobody asked for this” and truly I find it hilarious

Oh, man. The moment I first saw a clip of it I did immediately wonder how V would look with those shiny new graphics, and it’s all because of the Third that I fell in love with the series to begin with, so it seems only fair to give both the game and that new CC a proper test run. ;)

I’d also seriously love for all of us to have some fun with it again, because I do miss those days, and the conversations we’d all have. So if we can get the band back together, it’d be absolutely fantastic.

Please I need to know more about Violet. Can you tell me about how growing up was for her? Favorite car to drive? What she’d be doing if she wasn’t in the saints??

oh boy. ohhh boy. yes i absolutely can

theres a reason that joining the saints was the best (and arguably worst, but yknow) thing that ever happened to violet. growing up for her was... awful. like, ive never settled on exact details because i prefer to keep this part of her life vague, but she had the kind of home life where she was forced to sleep in the yard with the dogs pretty frequently. i dont know who she lived with exactly, but i dont think it was her parents... ive always pictured an uncle or some other relative, probably someone who wound up with custody of her and was very unhappy about it. she never had any life outside of that either. shed gone to (at least some) school but had little social skills/experience, and when she meets johnny and aisha their interest/friendliness towards her is completely foreign. theyre literally the first friends violet had ever had, and thats part of the reason shes so attached to them. the original saints were kind of a found family for her.  a very tense, murder-filled found family

she also dresses the way she does in sr1 because those were the only kind of clothes shed ever worn. she starts to branch out a bit near the end of the game though, and her change in style over the course of sr2 is significant because of this, kinda like coming into her own

shed finally run away from home sometime just before sr1 started, and she was homeless, broke, and literally had nowhere to go. she joined the saints because she didnt have a whole lot of other options. also, yknow, owing the leader of a local gang a life debt doesnt seem like something you just walk away from

her favorite car is this stupid purple open-top hollywood shes had since sr1. it has white interior and the fuzzy dice in it and everything. theres not really anything special about it other than it was her first car, the first one shed actually kept for herself. it was a big moment for her, and she keeps it through the whole series (she doesnt drive it in srtt though, because theyd have to bring it over from stilwater and thats not worth the trouble). she even has matt remake it for her in the simulation in sriv just so she can drive it around again

oh boy. if violet hadnt joined the saints, i dont think anything good would have happened to her. she was living on the street when she joined, and she wasnt in any position to get or hold a regular job. honestly shed.. probably have wound up as a stripper or a sex worker just to stay alive (and i respect people who work those kinds of jobs with my whole being, but it would have been really, really horrific for violet at that time). i cant think of any other source of income shed have been able to get, and judging from the sheer number of strip clubs and things in stilwater, thats most likely what she would have ended up doing. so yeah. probably nothing good

arent they doing another sr3 remaster/sr3 based game? i could be remembering that wrong but i swear something's going on with sr3 again?? but if theyre working with sr3 again thats gonna be massively disappointing. i wish they'd do something with sr1 esp since they're abandoning the original storyline for the reboot. it would've been a cool farewell letter to the original shit.

uhh i don't think so? i mean the remaster just got some kinda Payday cross-promo thing, but beyond that the reboot's coming out and the sr2 patch is in purgatory because Volition does not care about it one bit, that's all i know about any saints row related plans right now

he elaborated a bit on their insistence that the remasters are never happening and the reason given was “no source code for sr2 pc port so it’s too much work” even though the port is such an unbelievable piece of nonfunctioning shit everyone’s doubting how much help it’d actually even be. basically it sounds like a really flimsy excuse to make people shut up about it

a srtt remake would also explore johnny and the boss’s conflicting interests and then maybe he’d “die” halfway through, which would make it easier to distinguish between shaundi’s new sober personality and her anger n grief later from survivors guilt or whatever
