oh you've just provided me a safe space to admit that I started rereading the prophecies begin because I kept asking myself IF I have any pride headcanons for firestar and I had to review all his pov books in order to completely decide

I just finished rereading rising storm, and it's still a bit under debate, but I won't lie this feels like a polyamorous pansexual lil kitty cat fellas.

Out of curiosity, what are the ships you hate the least? (that you're comfortable with sharing! Dont want you getting hounded for shipping something bad deemed by the masses)

Oh I don't really hate ships, I just tend not to care about them usually. Warriors just isn't very good at romance typically, rarely even spends enough time on friendships for me to find them interesting. I know some people can see two cats have one conversation and decide to ship them but I just don't see the point lol. But to each their own, of course!

That said! Ships I very much enjoy:

Cloudtail x Brightheart (a classic)

Tallstar x Jake (gay road trip!)

Ravenpaw x Barley (is there any greater fantasy than running away from abuse in your home to go fall in love and live on a farm with your gay husband? I don't think so)

Leafpool x Mothwing (very cute, very funny reading Leafpool constantly thinking about how beautiful Mothwing is)

Dovewing x Tigerheart/star (I like that they got back together when they were a little older and wiser, I like that Dovewing had the opportunity to start over in a new Clan, I love how much Tigerstar clearly loves his wife and kids and will do anything for them, good family dynamics in this series are so rare)

and of course, Shadowsight x Rootspring (I love how ashamed they are of themselves while respecting each other so deeply for the very traits they're ashamed of. boys!! teach each other to love yourselves!)

There may be others but that's all that's coming to mind!

Not only that, but he keeps meddling in other people's business. Him being in X1 made sense. Showing up X2 was fair. In Xtreme it was unnecessary. His appearance in X3 was annoying. For Xtreme 2, it was troublesome. His involvement in X4 was just plain stupid. Him coming around in X5 was... good, actually. But in X6 it was useless. For X7, it was aggravating. X8 was a solid bait-and-switch, to be honest. But that twist was dependent on him having worn out his welcome. It's time to pack it up, you bald, overgrown, stupid-scar having, ugly-looking- 2. Dr. Wily (Mega Man Classic): Behold! The pettiest elderly man known to 20XX! He built entire grown men to go after a ten-year-old! He kidnapped a nine-year-old to force her father to work for him! His most recent scheme involved getting back at Dr. Light for something that happened when they were in COLLEGE. These men are in their SIXTIES OR SEVENTIES. What is there to prove, old man?! YOU GAIN NOTHING FROM WHAT YOU DO. Oh, and do not get me started on how he's the one who made the maverick virus. He ruined the lives of people who existed CENTURIES after he did, just because he COULD. Jail wasn't enough to change him - so now, it's up to the streets. 3. Jane (Season 2 of Telltale's "The Walking Dead"): I don't know how many of you have experienced the misfortune of knowing who this character is, so let me give you some context (I'll try to be somewhat vague, but I'll still give this post an appropriate spoiler tag). Depending on player choices, this grown woman can get mad at a twelve (12)-year-old girl for not being able to decide who should get a bag of medicine, and can complain about being asked to help a fifteen (15)-year-old out from under debris (and it is a life-or-death situation, on top of that). But those things alone aren't why I wanna square up with her. No, my real beef comes from what she does regardless of player actions. You see, the climatic fight of the final episode is the result of Jane telling a man that a baby that he is emotionally attached to has died. But here's the kicker: SHE'S LYING. THE BABY IS FINE. "What?" You may say. "Why? Why would anyone do that?!" Well, I'll tell you! Jane wanted to make him mad enough for him to make an attempt on her life, all so that she could prove a point to Clementine (the protagonist), who is the twelve (12)-year-old I mentioned earlier. Needless to say, I don't like her.

Wait ya'll actually want my silly Runningwind protagonist??? I'll give you the bullet points

Runningpaw is still Bluestar's apprentice when she's Bluefur. She becomes Bluestar mid-way through his apprenticeship, and he gets a big ego about it

Mousepaw goes to Adderfang. When Adderfang dies, she's given to Patchpelt.

Runningpaw is excitable and a "act before you think" kind of character. Bluefur frequently scolds him for running off or having to haul him up by the scruff after he fell off a rock looking at that cool bird

He's closer to Sparrowpelt (Halftail) then White-eye (One-eye) but maintains a good relationship with both

He looks up to and respects Tigerclaw immensely.

He's close with the older Redpaw (Redtail, shifting the timeline a little) and it helps that his father is his mentor. Mousepaw is close with the gentler Brindlepaw (Brindleface). Frostpaw (Frostfur) is the oldest (by 10 seconds over Brindlepaw, so she claims) and is stuck up and rude. Mousepaw and her don't get along. Willowpaw (Willowpelt) is....there. Towards the end Darkpaw (Darkstripe) is apprenticed to Tigerclaw, but doesn't want to interact with the other apprentices at all.

Mousepaw is a social shut in and Runningpaw thinks she's weird but never stops trying to get her to open up.

He's generally friendly to outsiders and other clan cats, but he's easily influenced by who's with him. He's a bit of an idiot but we love him for it

His Warrior ceremony is delayed and Mousefur will never let him live it down

He's honored for his tireless energy and commitment to his clan

Redtail x Runningwind would start somewhere around here. They had been strictly friends before this but begin to see each other in a different light.

Runningwind is horrified to learn about Thistleclaw through Redtail, when Spottedleaf confesses everything to both Redtail and Willowpelt. Redtail spends alot of time plotting revenge, to the point that they almost break up over it, as its taken over his entire life. Before Redtail can act, Thistleclaw is killed during a RiverClan skirmish.

Redtail and Runningwind make amends. They talk about starting a family (Redtail is trans here. He was trans since he was apprenticed.)

They try. They have Featherkit and Cricketkit. Featherkit dies during the starvation era.

Due to the starvation killing a good chunk of the clan, Bluestar decides to make Redtail deputy, after losing Thrushpelt (ya he's deputy, it's my AU and I can do what I want)

Cricketkit gets his Warrior name, Cricketpounce.

The clan needs more Warriors. Their population hasn't gone back up since the starvation. Redtail and Runningwind decide to have another litter, resulting in Sandkit (Sandstorm)

Cricketpounce is just like Runningwind personality-wise. Redtail says "Bluestar I can either be your deputy or control my family. I can't do both."

Cricketpounce and Sandkit cause trouble and mayhem all the time.

Here's where I change things: Tigerclaw doesn't try to kill Redtail at the battle. There's too many cats around to witness. Instead, he tries setting all those traps that result in other deaths/injuries (ex. Cinderpelt)

Cricketpounce catches him setting prey for the dogs. Tigerclaw tries to kill him, a nearby patrol hears the scuffle and comes to try and save him, but Tigerclaw kills him in front of them. They hold a trial and Tigerclaw is exiled.

He still gets killed by Tigerclaw. That would be at the end of the 6th book instead of Rising Storm. Runningwind attempts to get revenge for his son. Tigerclaw taunts him before killing him.

Redtail becomes Redstar with Whitestorm as deputy.

I’ve drawn Moonpaw, Curlfeather, Sandstorm, Leafpool, Crowfeather, The Three, Squirrelflight/star, Firestar, Violetshine, Twigbranch, Dawnpelt, Dovewing, Ivypool, Tigerclawstar, Bloomheart, Blackstar, Runningwind and his OC rescuer Poppy Knitter, Brightheart and Cloudtail, Snowtuft (redoing him he looks so bad), Spottedleaf, and Mapleshade!

We’ve heard mention of Redtail and Bluestar and Rowanclawstar (Scarlet Mane a Deputy, Former mayor Frosted Star, and photographer Happy Daze respectively) and Whitewing and Birchfall (White Wing and Birch Branch) and Appledusk and Reedshine (Apple Seed and River Reed) and Bramblestar (Bramble Horn), but no art of them so they are requestable!

And they can be ponies, griffins, hypogriffs, zebras, zonies, diamond dogs, Abyssinians (I think that’s what they’re called), changelings, kirins, and sea ponies!

Advantages of Sharpclaw x Sandstorm:

They are cute together.

If part of Firestar's Quest is supposed to be resolving Sandstorm's discomfort with Firestar's connection to Spottedleaf, giving her a fling with a cat she will never see again could help give her perspective there.

Having a tom other than Firestar sire Squirrel and Leaf helps the family tree (and allows for Firestar to live his gayest life while still having those kits)

They are cute together.

Spotfur and Duststripe (Prev. Sorrelstripe) are Birchfall x Whitewing kits as a trade.

Duststripe is not mates with Dewnose; Bayshine and Myrtlebloom are honor sired.

Cinderheart later becomes mates with Hollyleaf, now called Fallenleaf after Time Travel Shennanigans, and has a litter of Hollylark, Snaptooth, and Flywhisker.

They go wandering together after their kits are grown just before TBC

Fernsong is not Firekin, he is a kittypet who joins with Jessy and Stormcloud. His name was Fiddles, which he insisted was a type of fern.

Ferncloud, who did not die, thinks this is cute. Dustpelt died. Sorreltail is also here.

Jessy is the mother of Alderheart and Sparkpelt; Squirrelflight does not get back with Bramblestar after his behavior in OotS. He disowned the Three and they have never forgiven him for it.

Jessy leaves just before AVoS after improving Briarlight's mobility device to the point of independence.

Thornclaw has no children and he also dies in the Great Battle; Blossomfall's kittens were honor-sired.

Seedpaw and Lilyheart were FerncloudxDustpelt children; Brackenfur dies in Po3.

Toadstep died in the Great Battle; Spiderleg does not die of Offscreen Greencough.

Hazeltail does not die of Offscreen Greencough. She is both alive and transgender.

Rosepetal does not die in TBC. Cherryfall does instead.

Nightheart is the child of Hollylark and Sparkpelt. He is Firekin through his dead parent.

Ooooo Rosetail as a sunstar kit is such an awesome idea. Sunstar should’ve had kits (hell even had Thistle be Sun’s in my au) and Rosetail as his daughter is so cute. Also, love the growing hc of Rose being RedSpottedWillow’s mom, it just fits.

ITS WEIRD!!!!! from a one sided crush standpoint from cinders pov thats perfectly fine kids get crushes on people older than them all the time. but sandstorm is the same age as cinderpelt's original teacher. she's her teacher's wife. them actually getting together is fucking weird. while we're at it i hate cinder x silverstream too. i dont want her to be shipped with anyone in firestars age group. unfortunately she's in a pretty weird situation where most of who's in her age group are her littermates/related to her in some way. i truly think the best we've got for getting cinder a gf is daisy and my dear rio likes them so i do too. im wearing a big tshirt rn that says i hate cindersand on it. i completely forgot spottedleaf was in here too oops. um i dont want to ship her with sandstorm either for similar reasons i dont like fire x spotted so sand x spotted is similarly unappealing

what warrior ships do you like?

so for the more "regular" ships I have I'd say is Brambleclaw x Squirrelstar, Firestar x Sandstorm, Graystripe x Silverstream x Millie (yes all three PLEASE let them be poly in StarClan), Bristlefrost x Rootspring, Leafpool x Crowfeather, Bluestar x Oakheart, Tree x Violetshine, Jayfeather x Half Moon, Hawkwing x Pebbleshine, Ravenpaw x Barley, Cloudtail x Brightheart, and most likely a lot of the general canonical ships I enjoy without listing every single one of them out. Though for example let's say things like Dustpelt x Ferncloud, Birchfall x Whitewing, Windstar x Gorsestar, etc.

For non canon ships I really enjoy the idea of Frostdawn x Whistlebreeze, Mothwing x Leafpool, Firestar x Spottedleaf, Firestar x Graystripe, and maybe others I'm blanking on atm lol

I can't say I have much in the name of unpopular ships, but one ship I like that I don't hear anybody talk about is Hawkfrost x Ivypool. It's probably what I'd consider the most problematic ship I enjoy that I can think of that I haven't heard anybody talk about. But hey considering that Ivypool ends up with I believe to be a distant cousin I'd say maybe this is an upgrade for her. I'm kinda passive about Ivypool x Fernsong. They're not bad though I felt like we didn't get any interesting insight to them in stories like Ivypool's Heart, which I feel like should've been pretty important considering the subject matter, but I disgress.

Aside from that the only thing I can say is erins if you can hear me PLEASE let Rootspring stay single and PLEASE give Daisy a tom that's worthy of her 🙏

How to fix warriors

So I have this au in my mind that fixes the whole series and starts from book one. First it starts off the same, and then Smudge shows up and Rusty basically tells the reader that he used to have feelings for Smudge, but Smudge is into she-cats, not toms. Then Graypaw shows up, and when he comes into the light, Rusty describes him as being unbearably attractive. (Also when he meets Onewhisker he will think he's attractive, but will remind himself that he's from a different Clan.) Spottedleaf will be his childhood crush but later in the series, when he admits his feelings in a dream, she'll just laugh. Then she'll apologize for laughing and say that she only views him as a friend. They will be really close friends throughout the series and it will be really cute and I like them as friends. In my au, Spottedleaf kinda acts like an older sister. Anyways Graystripe and Fireheart will have a looot of gay moments throughout the Prophecies Begin. Him and Sandstorm still become mates. I didn't like how canon Fireheart literally has no flaws, so in my au his flaw is that he doesn't know how to have fun. Graystripe helps him to realize this. But also, he gives so much to everyone else and nothing for himself. And Graystripe helps him to realize that he deserves love too. He also realizes that he loves Graystripe and he always has. He tells him and then him, Graystripe, and Sandstorm, are in a poly relationship! I think that idea is so cute.

Dustpelt wouldn't be creepily waiting for the day Fernpaw becomes a warrior. They would show affection for each other after she becomes Ferncloud. The clans have more differences. Shadowclan lives in caves, Skyclan lives on a plateau, Thunderclan and Windclan stay the same, and Riverclan lives in a valley with a river flowing through it with an island on the river because the river is really wide and their camp is on the island. They also have different customs. I think Snowkit would survive the hawk, but we wouldn't know until Power of Three. He would survive by flinging himself out of it's talons. He would join The Tribe of Rushing Water. He would have a novella called Snowkit's journey. When Thunderclan visits The Tribe in Power of Three, Firestar will say he recognizes (insert tribe name (I dont know what it should be yet) .) He will figure out that its Snowkit and it will be a whole thing. Silverstream will be implied to be a trans tom. Like Graystripe saying "Why couldn't I have died instead of him?" and Fireheart wondering what he means, or Stormfur saying "I wish we could have known our Father- I mean Mother," (Silverstream came out to him in a dream. He also came out to Feathertail in a dream) Everyone in Starclan knows. Millie was already pregnant when her and Graystripe escaped. Graystripe isn't the Father, it was some other cat. During the journey, Millie admits her feelings for him. He tells her he likes toms and he already has a mate. Millie will always be jealous. Millie is horrible. Millie was horrible to Briarlight when she became crippled. She wasnt happy she was alive she, she just talking about how she'll never fight, or hunt, or have kits She was constantly fretting over Briarlight to the point where it was bad for Briarlights mental health. She wished she wasnt crippled because then Millie wouldn't worry about her so much. Millie was even neglecting her other children to take care of Briarlight! But in my au, there is an apology scene that is real and emotional. Ravenpaw and Barley will actually be canon. Same with Tallstar and Jake. Dovewings eyes are light green. I have my reasons for thinking this. And Scourges collar is purple. Midnight uses they/them pronouns. Ivypool x Blossomfall will be canon. Stormfur doesnt like his sister Feathertails relationship with Crowfeather because they're from different Clans, but he doesnt like his sister Squirrelflights relationship with Brambleclaw because Brambleclaw is def abusive to her and probably doesnt even accept her as a trans she-cat.

In my au, Yellowfang doesnt completly change in the second series. When Leafpool goes to the Moon Pool after the fight with Cinderpelt, she calls for Spottedleaf, but Yellowfang comes instead. She asks where Spottedleaf is and Yellowfang replies "She was gonna say something mouse-brained, so I came instead," In Starclan, Bluestar has to choose between Oakheart and Yellowfang. She chooses Yellowfang. Eventually, Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw break up. Probably soon after she has Alderheart and his siblings. Swiftpaw loved Brightheart, but she didnt love him the same because she is a lesbian and Cloudtail is a he/him lesbian. Mousefur is Aromantic. Lionblaze is autistic, Jayfeather has OCD, and Hollyleaf has ADHD. Leafpool always had a crush on Sorreltail. Then she fell for Cody. Cody obviously liked her back. The last thing she did before leaving was lick her ear, brush against her lovingly and say "I love you Leafpool. I wish we could be together but I don't belong here," Then she walked away. Sorreltail, who was watching, came out of the bushes to comfort Leafpool. Leafpools feelings for Cody had faded after being rescued from the twolegs and she started to love Sorreltail again. She confessed her feelings, but Sorreltail is straight and had a crush on Brackenfur. Meanwhile, Leopardstar is with Sasha, apologizing because she couldn't get the Clans to stay in the forest. She says she wishes things could be different and that she loves her. Sasha says she loves her too. Leopardstar promises to take care of Mothwing and Hawkfrost. Mothwing, listening, basically realized "guess im not the only lesbian" Leopardstar and Sasha decide to spend one more night in the forest together. Meanwhile, Leafpool and Sorreltail decide to spend one more night in the forest together. Meanwhile, Leopardstar falls asleep leaning on Sashas shoulder, while Sasha looks up at the moon. Meanwhile, Sorreltail falls asleep leaning on Leafpool's shoulder, while Leafpool looks up at the moon. The camera pans up to the moon.

Okay unpop opinion maybe but I don’t think Spotted x Fire is predatory? For 2 reasons. 1. It appears to be a retcon to an extent(she doesn't show active interest until The New Prophecy/Firestar's Quest) and 2. While Firepaw DEFINITELY is interested in her, which is fine, kids get crushes on older people all the time, it's a problem if that older person abuses that, Spottedleaf isn't actually interested in him. She seems actively annoyed by him originally and any hints of feelings are kinda...projected onto her by Firestar? Bro what do you mean "you're so glad she approves of you and sandstorm" YOU NEVER DATED???? You weren't even close friends.

Anyway they were never close in life, he's an adult by the time she shows any romantic attraction and while Spottedleaf's Honest Answer is a thing I'm pretty sure it isn't canon anymore because you can't find it anywhere. That is WAY different from the other ships mentioned before.

Yeah I think if you consider SpHA canon then it’s definitely predatory, if you don’t consider SpHA canon then it’s fine. Without SpHA it’s just a case of Spottedleaf developing her feelings for him after she died rather than before. In “into the wild” itself she doesn’t treat him special in any way other than delivering the prophecy to him, and in that instance she’s just confused more than anything. SpHA is a very weird and uncomfortable retcon with thankfully dwindling ways to access it.

I just wish that entire subplot just never existed. You can tell when reading the original arc that it definitely wasn’t intended from the start.
