For these past couple weeks i've been kind of missing gymnastics , I had quit because of how mentally draining it was. When I went to go look at some old videos I really saw just how drained I was but I was really good at beam like really good I always scored 3rd place.

Caught red-handed
Dad figured everything out, and surprisingly he said he would forgive me because of everything we've been through lately with mom's passing. He said we should be spending more time together, and that to take our minds off of everything he would take me to the Mets game I had wanted to go see. Why bother? Our lives are both a shell of what they were two months ago and I'd rather just stay home.

Since Peri has problems with flight does irep also have them or is he fine
Tumblr media
Irep's a talented flyer actually! While Peri's wings feels heavy for him to use, Irep's are light as a feather. He's an expert at navigating the air, and can outdo even a Pixie in flight!!
This has made him all sorts of popular and unpopular among jock-like fairies.

how it feels to love sport even when it hurts me because the act of participating in and watching sports is one of the most purely human acts of collective emotion you can experience, wether you win or lose, in that moment you, the athlete, the team, every fan, in the room, in the stands, across the world, is cheering together, crying together, winning together, losing together, and its more beautiful and perfect and frustrating and heartbreaking than a tv show or movie could ever be because its real its real and next season can always be different so you'll always come back and we keep always coming back for the rest of human existence

hey! as the first season of connor bedard gets underway i, your local indigenous hockey fan, have a request of you: please don't let this kid's sure to be marvellous and jaw-dropping rookie season make you complacent with the racism of the blackhawks as an organization. it is beyond heinous that they were able to secure the first overall pick this year for a number of reasons i'm sure we're all familiar with, but i am pleading with the hockey community not to let the racism of this org fall through the cracks.
they drafted connor bedard and handed him a jersey with a giant racist caricature on the front. their mascot is named tommy hawk. they continuously fail to curtail their fans' egregious displays of anti-indigenous racism at games.
i'm not going to ask anyone not to post about bedard. i know he's huge news and i'm bummed as all hell that i won't be able to enjoy the beginning of what is sure to be an incredible career myself. but i am asking, given that his presence on the team is likely to increase the prevalence of people making and reblogging posts about the blackhawks, that you please care, loudly and actively, about the racism of this organization and how much it hurts indigenous fans to see that go unquestioned so often.
consider mentioning it in posts. consider amplifying the voices of indigenous fans and community members about the issues of these types of sports organizations. consider reading up on the history of the person they claim to 'honour' with their hideous effigy of a logo. consider censoring the logo in your posts if you are able to (please do this if you are able to). consider tagging posts so that indigenous fans are at the very least able to blacklist that team and not have to see it.
above all, please just. don't forget about it. don't forget about us. we belong here too.

Thinking about a scene where Steve tells Dustin to stop insulting him at every chance he gets, it fucking sucks, actually.
Dustin just scoffs. Rolls his eyes. Steve can take it. Plus, Dustin's just saying things that are true. Steve is dumb. His grades were bad. He didn't get into college. He makes dumb comments and gets things wrong. Not to mention his hobbies. He says he can't pick them up from Hellfire because there's a basketball game he wants to watch, like what? He spends all his time watching sports and talking about sports and playing sports. Its either that or working on his car. What kind of hobbies are those? They're not real hobbies. Can't be much of a reformed jock if he can't even give up sports.
So Steve just tells Dustin that if he isn't going to stop being a bully, Steve doesn't want to be his friend anymore, and leaves.
And it's like a slap in the face.

Actually, I've decided the most unrealistic thing in All For The Game/The Sunshine Court isn't the mafia, it's the apparent absence of the draconian NCAA gifting rules. None of that would have happened if Wymack got suspended for buying his players a sandwich.
For those unaware: the NCAA imposes incredibly strict regulations on student-athletes to maintain the illusion that they are unpaid amateurs and prevent colleges from "hiring" the best players via outsized scholarships. Kevin's supposed millions in sponsorships would have been completely disallowed until like 2 years ago (profiting off your image was banned). But also, coaches and players are completely disallowed from anything which even looks like payment or accepting a gift. Buying food for your players? BANNED! Buying Neil clothes because he has literally 1 shirt? BANNED! Plane tickets across the country? PROBABLY NOT! Everything Wymack does is spitting in the NCAA's face and daring them to suspend him.

I'm very done talking about my specific opinions on how I think it is ethical to produce dogs to be companions and very very not done with talking about the way that Dog Fancy is simply a High Pressure Group which uses coercion and cult tactics to force people to conform to a certain social standard or be ejected and locked out. 🤷 at the end of the day it doesn't really matter what my particular opinion is or how that differs from the party line.
I suppose this is not especially surprising for an activity that is called "conformation"

have you ever won 1st place on a contest that was somewhat significant? (this is subjective but i mean like, local sports tournaments or talent contests or a writing competition, not like getting the most smiley stickers in 3rd grade)
- yes!
- no, but i made it amongst the top 5
- no
-i've never participated in such a thing
