I love the original Cars 2006 game so much. The one that got released on like GameCube and Xbox. I mean, I love all the Cars games(Cars 3 Switch game they did you dirty), but that's an entire story for another time giving my individual appriciation for all of them later. What I'm going to say here applies pretty well to the other games that are centered around the first movie as well like Race-O-Rama and Maternationals, but I'm specifcally rewatching the original one's cutscenes again because I don't want to restart my data every time I wanna go through the cutscenes again(even though I enjoy playing it so, so much), and I just love the atmosphere in it so much. Some of my favorite movie scenes are the ones where they don't have any music playing because I love to close my eyes and turn up the volume and just.. pretend I am right there with the characters and right next to them and stuff or that they're talking to me or such, and that is extra immersible when there isn't an entire orchestra going on(not that I am knocking at having music at all, I regularly go back and listen to the soundtracks from movies if they have them posted).

And the game doesn't really have any music at all during any of the cutscenes and the whole thing is like super..soft to me? Not soft as in like fluffy pillows and pink aesthetic soft, but soft as in like it's getting late out and so you're trying to be kinda hushed with your voice and there's not really anywhere you have to be so you slow down your pace and kick a couple of pinecones or rocks. If that makes any sense at all. Cause normally movies or shows(whether the whole series or each individual episode) have a certain plot or arc that is happening that everyone is focused on and consumes the whole thing, give or take a few moments. And while this game does have a particular thing so it can have a start and end to the story of the game, everything is framed in like a "Yeah, this is what they get up to in their freetime." And I don't know if you know but I love my slice of life stuff so sooooooo so so infinitely much. So getting to get that sort of content is really fun and perfect for me. It's like you're just actively hanging around them and getting caught up in whatever typical nonsense they end up in(assuming we are ignoring the whole monster truck bit), and the "OH THINGS ARE. HITITNG THE FAN." Or bigger development moments are saved for like the movies or something or whatever comes up in my head.

I'm not really entirely headed anywhere with this, I just wanted to put out some appriciation for the game and how nice the atmosphere is. I think it's also cause I really love getting to just sit and here them talk and there is a lot of casual conversation that happens and just plain dialog. Like it's not even filler dialog it's just talking and chatting. And I spend a stupid silly amount of time listening to voiceline compilations on YouTube so this is just the bees knees for me.

I just realized Ed and Stede are complete opposites with their trauma/mental health issues.

Ed lashes out. Stede keeps it bottled up. Both are unhealthy, but Stede's way of coping is less visual and so easier for him to pretend he's fine around other people.

"I've never seen Blackbeard like this". Fang knows something is wrong, very very wrong with Ed.

But Stede has been putting on personas since Day One. His crew haven't realized something is wrong because they think Stede is just like this. Stede has hardly ever let his guard down, even around people he trusts...except Ed.

I can't help but think Stede having his shirt off is significant, especially since Ed appears to be fully clothed (but with his hair down). Stede is baring himself to Ed...but not entirely. Just a small expanse of himself that Ed has seen before (when Stede was wounded in bed during their first ever talk). Stede is still not showing his full self, he's guarded even during what is supposed to be an intimate moment. Not as guarded as he is around the crew, but guarded nonetheless. Because it's his normal state of being.

I'm so conflicted about the season 4 ending because on one hand I get it. life is unfair, it's unrealistic to give all of your characters happy endings, especially if said characters are constantly putting themselves in danger. it makes sense that not everyone survives four seasons of near-death experiences like being held hostage, getting shot at, almost drowning etc. on the other hand I can't help but be bitter that the person who had been abused/mistreated their entire life and who was clearly suffering was the one who had to die. at the hands of his biological father, may I add. I’ve seen some people say JJ was annoying this season and I get where they’re coming from, but all of his impulsive decisions and everything that happened at/after the town meeting just made me sad. he was struggling so much that he didn’t care what happened to him or if he lived or died. all he wanted was a future where he could live with his friends in their own little paradise without a care in the world. with the money from the crown and shoupe’s promise, it seemed like he was so close to happiness and inner peace, but they didn’t let him have that. so yeah, I get why they did this, but that doesn’t make it less upsetting.

I find Sansa Stark Interesting

(Spoilers for game of thrones book 1)

I just find Sansa interesting. I do dislike her, mostly because if I had Sansa as a sister, I would definitely have slapped her by now. I don't know why people think I should be stanning when she calls her own younger sister "ugly", treats her like she is a burden, calls Jon "bastard", and lies for her crush against her sister. Joffrey attempted to murder a stable boy and Arya defended him. She was clearly in the right.

Sansa thinks it's a great idea to lie about that. I don't care that she is a kid. She is the elder of the sisters and it's inappropriate, even as a teenager, to lie about something like that. Even worse, months later she continues to propagate the lie.

None of these things make her bad character. They make her a very real character. I don't understand tagging something as "anti" character just because you dislike them, because disliking a character can be a sign that they are wonderfully crafted. I kinda wanna slap her, but she's 13. It's not that deep. I do think lady dying was unfair to lady, but a just punishment for Sansa. She has consistently gone against her own family over a crush. I was 13 once, get the urge but not to this degree.

I don't know where she got this from, no one else would do the stuff she does. Maybe she bought into the Kool-Aid so to speak of being noble? Catelyn and Ned are older and have the wisdom of age. They have seen war and felt grief. They understand some of the realities of what is happening.

Right now, I feel so horrible for her. The tragedy of Ned's execution is not so much the execution, because that man was a walking death flag. He has more death flags than Aki from Chainsaw Man. No, the pain comes from Sansa because she was the only one, besides Cersei but who cares about her, who thought Ned wouldn't die.

Sansa is bratty and she is somewhat cruel to her sister. I am an only child, but l feel like calling your own sister, ugly, and then saying that you wish it had been hurt that was killed instead of your dog is bad and is cruel. I think that's fair.

Now, Sansa is in a precarious situation that I truly would not wish on anyone and l am praying that she gets to kill Joffrey. She deserves it. I wish her the best of luck because she is in the most dangerous situation currently.

Just because I dislike her, and I do have every right to it does not mean I am anti-her existence, she is a great character and I'm curious to see how she progresses as the story continues. I will fight a child. I mean Joffrey is right there. I'd fight him. Yeah, I don't like Sansa but the worst thing that should've happened to her is getting slapped by her sister or maybe Ned, though he wouldn't do that, and he sure can't now.

I don't want to fight about Sansa. I want to discuss her.

What's the best way to dodge seasonal spoilers? I got so "lucky" that next season drops the same time some offline stuff will make it impossible for me to access the device I play D2 on (or any device capable of running the game at all) for at least a week and I want to go avoid getting spoiled constantly...

Definitely block tags on here first and foremost. I personally use "destiny 2 spoilers" and "season of the deep spoilers."

I'd 100% recommend avoiding youtube entirely because people just blatantly post entire cutscenes with spoilers in the thumbnails. I'm not sure what are the spoiler blocking options on twitter and reddit, but if there's anything reliable, do that before the season starts! People on sites like tumblr, reddit and twitter tend to generally be mostly decent about tagging spoilers appropriately and allowing you to block them.

Youtube is a lawless land though. Especially with some people who datamine cutscenes and post them before they're even officially out. One youtube channel I know for sure who does this is "The Phoenix." Blocking is possible on youtube, but it's not 100% reliable. Still, do as much as you can to make sure your chances for avoiding are as high as possible.

Obviously also be careful in various discord servers, though they should have options to opt out of seeing spoilers. If you're in any servers where that isn't the case, the only way is to leave them temporarily.
