This ghost isn't deliberately violent but she is increasingly desperate in her attempts to be heard. Cassie realizes she is in a unique position to try to help this spirit over to the other side except that the more time they spend together, the more the strange connection between them grows.

Announcing the Supernatural Femslash Reverse Bang!

Hello, SPN fandom! We are pleased to announce the 2024 Supernatural Femslash Reverse Bang!

Per the results of last summer's poll, this year the artists will go first and create pieces of art to inspire writers to create a story.

Artists will be able to submit between one and three unique art pieces centering on the lovely ladies of SPN. Writers will then write a story of at least 3,000 words for the art piece they claim.

Signups will open on February 4. Artist signups will remain open until March 17. Writer signups will remain open until May 3. Claims will take place on May 11.

“Tell me again why we took this hunt?” Jody looked over to Donna who had just dumped the remains of her bottle of water over her head. “That’s not fair.”

“What? I’m hot.” She gestured for the shovel. “My turn Sunshine.” She started shoveling dirt back into the grave they had dug up that night. “Funny how we’d be arresting people for doing this.”

Jody leaned against Donna’s truck and grabbed her own bottle of water. “Well, yeah. I haven’t actually arrested anyone for it. Have you?”

“Desecrating a grave? No ma’am.” She stopped and giggled. “Had to chase plenty of teenagers off of the grounds or out of mausoleums though.”

“Why?” She watched Donna wag her eyebrows suggestively. “Seriously? Depraved childhoods, I’m telling you.”

“Aww, Jody, ya mean I can’t take ya into one of these mausoleums when were done and take ya? Damn.”

“I’m not sure if you’re tired or if you’re insane.”

“Could be possessed, dontcha know.”

Jody shook her head. “Nope. I was there when we got the tattoos.”

“Well, then if I tell you I have my second wind, I guess you know the answer.” Donna chuckled and went back to shoveling. The pile of grave dirt was more than halfway back in the scorched grave, and the ladies had three hours before sunrise. They settled into a comfortable silence, Jody sipping at her water and resting, and Donna finishing off the pile of dirt.

After a few minutes, Jody pulled out her cellphone and snapped a picture of Donna. The flash startled Donna, and after calming her nerves she shot a glare at Jody. “Dontcha know the NSA can see those?”

“Nope. This is the phone I had Charlie work on. And even if they could,” Jody turned the phone around, “all they would see is a picture of my gorgeous girlfriend with a shovel. Moving dirt. In the Dark. Not suspicious at all.” Jody swiped a few times and texted the picture and a quick update to Sam. “Alright. Let the boys know the job is done.”

“Jody. Don’t tell me ya sent that picture.” Donna groaned when she saw Jody’s mischievous smile. “Ugh. Then guess who can finish filling this hole.” She walked over to Jody and thrust the shovel into her hands and grabbed the bottle of water from off the truck.

“Worth it.” She kissed Donna on the cheek before she went to take her turn shoveling the dirt back into the grave.

Day 7: Flowers | Claire Novak x Kaia Nieves

Claire is fifty when it happens. Wrinkles accent her face, aging scars paint her body; she's cut her greying hair short. She's died and come back a few times already, as any hunter has, but there's a note of finality to this one when the vampire rips out her throat, like the universe has run out of second chances for her.

But she doesn't remember any of this. She only remembers her family, Jody and Donna, who retired to Jody’s cabin outside of Sioux Falls, and Alex, a successful doctor at a fancy hospital in Minneapolis.

Claire opens her eyes and is surrounded by purple flowers. She stands in a field of them that extends as far as her eye can see. It reminds her, almost, of her favorite scene in The Wizard of Oz, except with violets instead of poppies. They blow in a gentle breeze, the petals soft under her bare feet.

When she reaches down to touch them, she notices her hands. They are free of scars and age spots, as if they were twenty years old again. In fact, she feels newer, younger.

“It was about time,” a familiar voice says from behind her.

Claire turns around to face the person she is sure the voice belongs to.

Kaia stands before her, looking the same as Claire remembers her, when she jumped in front of the spear meant to hit Claire. Only, there's a soft glow around her now, a floating lightness.

“Kaia.”

The name, a soft breath, falls from her lips. She reaches out to the ethereal figure, not quite sure if what she sees is real.

Kaia takes the outstretched hand in hers and pulls Claire close.

Square filled: Spy AU Day 7 of SPN Femslash February: Flowers

There are flowers on the stand by the doorway when Bela gets back from the airport. It’s 3 in the morning here, and there’s mail piled on the kitchen table, a soft buzz of electronic laughter coming from the living room, and a covered pot on the stove housing what Bela suspects to be spaghetti. She smiles, and there’s a warm feeling working it’s way though her gut as she moves to the laundry room. The clothes from her suitcase make their way into the washer and the crisp manilla folder hidden away in her blazer is locked behind the hidden panel at the side of their dryer. Photos of a high-profile diplomats in secret meetings, itineraries stolen from the desks of presidential assistants, and a disc full of international relations meeting recordings all tucked away right next to a basket of their dirty clothes. Tomorrow, there would be plenty of time to take the them to her client, but tonight? Tonight Bela’s staying in.

It’s been four months since she’s last seen Jo and from the looks of things, her absurdly silly wife tried waiting up for her. Jo is nothing if not a romantic at heart. When Bela looks into the living room, she confirms her suspicions: Jo is snuggled up on the couch, their cat nestled between her arms as the television played out some form of a procedural cop drama. She rests a hand on the side of the couch as she leans down to peck a quick kiss into Jo’s hair. Charlie chirps at her in greeting and Bela gives him a quick cheek rub before heading back to the kitchen to grab some of whatever was in the pot on the stove.

Bela’s eaten dinner next to a sleeping Jo many times in their 5-year relationship, and tonight is no different. She quickly switches the cop drama to the discovery channel, where a documentary on the water that used to be in the Sahara is playing. Charlie quickly realizes that food is near, and comes over to beg for some spaghetti. Though he’s only given the smallest bit of a meatball for his efforts, he stays beside her for the rest of the documentary as she finishes up her dinner. Jo sleeps soundly through the whole thing, because despite having been a hunter in her past, she’s the heaviest damn sleeper Bela’s ever known.

For a moment, as the credits to the documentary are rolling through, Bela considers just curling up next to her on the couch, sleeping the day away tomorrow and forgetting about checking in with her clients, with her agency as well. Running away from it all, taking up her vast acquired fortune and buying an island where no one could find them. Jo stirs not long after, and Bela takes the opportunity to drag her to their bedroom and get her settled down in bed for the rest of the night. She’s not really awake, but not really asleep either, and she keeps mumbling ‘wait’ and ‘Bela’, over and over. It’s endearing, really. The damn moron was going to make Bela’s heart burst from sheer adorable idiocy.

She gets Jo tucked in on her side of the bed and settles down next to her. As Bela reaches to set her alarm, Jo sleepily curls around her, arms circling her torso and pulling her back from the nightstand. The responsible thing would be to pull away and set her alarm clock, make it to her 9am meeting with her handler on time, but since when did she become someone who followed the rules? So she turns and cuddles into Jo, buries her face in her love’s neck and breathes in the warm, apples-and-cinnamon scent that reminded her of home. She’s missed this. Every night she was away, she wanted Jo in her arms, wanted to call her and invite her to a neat little cafe she’d discovered in a back alley in london, wanted to just be with her. Jo’s arms tighten around her and Bela grins, presses a multitude of soft kisses to Jo’s neck. She should savour this while it lasts, before Jo wakes up and drives her mad with questions about all the things she’s done over these four gruelling months and Bela has to lie about every single little detail. Though, maybe she would tell her about that cafe, show her a few pictures she shouldn’t have taken in the first place. Maybe, Bela thinks, as her eyes slowly close and she drifts off into sleep.
