HI!! Semi-newish to the Spn/Walker/WIndy fandom, but your blog has been my number one source for catching up on all the fandom related content (adorable photo ops, convention content, all the statistics, etc) and I absolutely adore your blog and your approach to the fandom.

Now to my question, do you know when Jared (not the CW) first mentioned Walker? Like did he make an announcement or was it a casual mention because I’m having trouble finding anything. Thank you in advance!!

Awe! Thank you! I never thought my blog would end up being a fandom source, but here we are, lol! I am also newish to the fandom (at least, post-SPN finale), but I'm certainly enjoying my foray into the online world! People like yourself certainly make it worth it!

I don't know if there were rumors ahead of time (since I wasn't online then), but the first official press release came out Sept. 23, 2019. I couldn't find any mention from Jared prior to that either. He's usually pretty quiet about the projects he's working on, but he did mention in subsequent interviews that the reboot had to get permission (and got it) from Chuck Norris, so I'm sure those conversations occurred prior to the official announcement.

oh this show...this cast...these characters...this family ♡

my heart hasn’t felt this sore in a while. after harry potter had their happily ever after i was so afraid that i wouldn’t be able to find that sense of community again, that sense of friendship. you know when it all started you could go anywhere and if you saw someone with hp merch on you could have conversations and start friendships... it might sound so silly but in a scary situation that i was in a friendly stranger in a ravenclaw hoodie helped me out and i’ll never forget the relief that i felt when i saw that symbol.

that feeling was something that i have so desperately been missing from my life... it was a feeling so safety and friendship in this scary world. then  i found you all. i found this fandom/family. my heart hasn’t been this full in so long and god i am so so grateful for every last second ♡

for me this all started with a wonderful girl walking into work and asking me about my deathly hallows tattoo, not harry potter she called out the symbol. then she showed me her gryffindor watch. just like the girl with the hoodie i felt safe and after three years of horrible experiences with “friends” after moving 8+ hours away from everything that i’ve ever known that was such a welcome feeling.

then she started telling me all about this incredible show that has changed her life in such beautiful ways. now over a year later i have a best friend - @ladywinchester1967 , plus our beautiful confam -  @lovelyfantastic and @haylei2013 , the spn family as a whole, and this whole world that’s now a part of my life ♡

with all of that wonderfulness, i cannot deny that i am so sad that it’s ending. my heart hurts...god does it hurt. it can almost be leveled with the pang felt i felt once harry potter had their happily ever after... i am going to miss them. i am going to miss their adventures and everything else that came along with it all.

that being said, i am overwhelmed with my gratefulness for every last moment. the good, bad, and ugly. the happiness, love, friendship, and family. my heart is so sore but it is also so so full   ♡ i cannot wait to see what new adventures our spn family goes on and i will be here forever in the backseat of a 67 impala cheering them all on ♡

Did you meet Jensen Ackles? if so, how was your experience?

If you're asking about the most recent convention I went to last month, then no I didn't meet Jensen up-close there--we had Copper tickets (i.e. no autographs) and all the J2 photo ops were sold out by the time I got the tickets. (I did see him fairly close though when he walked by where I was sitting after finishing an autograph session).

I have seen him at previous cons when I had Gold or Silver tickets and/or was able to get a photo op ticket. Those encounters were only a few seconds by necessity since there were many other fans waiting behind me for their autograph or photo op, so I didn't really have the chance to talk to him much (and was too shy to say more than "Hi" and "Thank you" TBH). I can say however that Jensen is MUCH more attractive in person--one of my friends said it was "like looking into the sun."

My best experience with him was my last photo op in 2019 (my hair was very short in this one because I was a little over a year post-chemo), where I brought a replica of the Colt in its box as a prop. I stood facing him with the open box while he picked up the gun for the pic, which meant that for the entire 30 seconds or so I got to stare directly at his face:

The pic itself obviously only shows either of us in profile instead of full face, but it was worth it! (Don't ask me how I managed not to melt into a puddle or spontaneously combust.)

Going forward, especially at this upcoming convention in D.C., DO NOT ask Jared a single question about what is currently taking place.

No “we stand with you”

No “Jared we love you no matter what”

NOTHING

Each of those comments force his hand to make a statement. This is something for him, and his family, to handle. We will always be his family, but right now we need to respect that we are a different kind of family to him. He deserves our complete respect and support, but NOT at the expense of him having to publicly comment on things he is not ready to.

Please, please, PLEASE, be the respectful and loving people we are known to be. We owe him this ❤️

I’m still in a bit of a stupor from this weekend. I walk in for my op, dressed as Ruby, and as soon as Jared sees me he just sort of pauses and immediately starts clapping. He just leans down to me and goes, “spot on.” And then kept complimenting my Ruby costume and saying, “you look so much like Gen,” “I was like, ‘Oh, Gen’s here’,” or “This is out of this world. You look so good.” AND HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BE MENTALLY PREPARED FOR THE PHOTO NOW? Then after we take the picture, which he fully committed to being Sam here, he pulls me in for a hug and goes, “seriously, amazing.” Then I’m moving to leave and he pulls me aside and brings me over to Cliff! And he just motions to me up and down, and says to Cliff, “Doesn’t she look like Gen? Incredible right?” I was not expecting him to say anything at all and to have him comment at the op and during the panel just-------- I have transcended human existence. 

He is such a genuine person. Every second he’s talking to you, you are talking up his full attention, he is entirely focused on you. Absolute charisma.  I met incredible, beautiful, and truly kind people this weekend. I’m immensely thankful for this family, who never seize to demonstrate how willing they are to give, support, and foster community.
